Eleanor's Visit

A few days later at the Embassy of Satu, Jade came down to the living room to find her father and her aunt, Eleanor Lewis looking through a box of Emma's old things.

"Is that everything you wish to take, Eleanor?" Liang asked.

"Yes it is," Eleanor answered. "thank you so very much, Liang."

Eleanor took the boxes that Liang gave to her.

"Good morning, Dad, good morning, Aunt Eleanor." Jade greeted.

"Hello, Dearest." Liang said to Jade.

"Greetings to you, my oldest niece." Eleanor said to Jade.

Jade looked at the boxes.

"Some of Mom's old things?" Jade asked Eleanor.

"Yes, Jade," Eleanor replied. "I am taking them to a secret location for safe keeping."

"What kind of secret location?" Jade asked Eleanor.

Liang held up his left hand and stopped Jade from pestering her aunt any farther.

"That is on a need to know basis, Jade," Liang said firmly. "and you don't need to know, do you understand me?"

"Of course, Dad." Jade sighed.

"Good, now if you would please excuse me," Liang said to Jade. "I need to see your aunt out."

"Yes, Dad." Jade said.

Jade snowly went up to her bedroom to gather up her dirty laundry.
