Helllo!! Thanks for reading!c

Link POV

"Can I help you cook?" Zelda said as she walked back down. I turned to see her yet again in my tunic. Instantly I lost all train of though and ability to control my body as my cheeks rushed and my heart raced. Of course like a foo, I dropped the pan I was holding and struggled to answer her. Real smooth...dumb ass.

"What?" She asked confused.

"Nothing, I'm okay cooking but you can hang our wet clothes outside. Here," I said pulling my doublet off and handing it too her. Looking down I saw her face about as red as the chili peppers I was cutting earlier. Realizing my lack of shirt I darted past her upstairs and changed in to my rock climbing gear. It was far more comfortable than that other stuff. Walking back down I handed her my pants. ""My rock climbing set was always the most comfortable" I said before she nodded and walked back out the door.

Why is she wearing that????!! I panicked. It's hard enough being this close to her again and now she's suddenly in my house in my clothes. It's official I'm going to die. Hylia... help me. I silently pleaded. After she walked back in she sat at the table and waiting.

"Where did you get that photo of us?" She asked.

"'Kass, he's a rito who is always playing these ballads about Hyrules history. He offered it to me after I go the Cycle". I said. "Do you remember taking it?" I asked. Finishing out dinner I poured it into different bowls.

"No... I don't but I do miss them... it's so weird to think we were in stasis and they died 100years ago..." she said sniffling. "I wish we could have saved them..."

"Yeah.." I said placing her bowl down on the table that sitting across from her.

"Thanks" she said smiling then taking a bite, "Oh! This is good! I forgot how good your food is Link. I've missed-" she quieted down after her cheeks turned pink,"-it..."

"I'm glad you like it..."I said as an awkward heaviness settled, "so... what have you been up to these last few years?" I asked taking another bite of the steak.

"Oh well Purah and I have been studying more Sheikah runes we have found. It has been difficult without the Slate and the council... Oh my God.. the council!! They must be freaking out that I am gone. I imagine Andrina had gone completely mental." Zelda said panicked."

"Relax I took care of it. They know you are with me..." I said.

"And they were okay with that?" She asked skeptical. Does she doubt me?

"Well if was me or your Proposed Fiancée." I said smirking at her biting down on my fork.

"Fiancée??? Sidon and I are friends. I never said yes." She said stuffing a piece of bread angrily in her mouth.

"I know, when he said it would be best for your to return to Zoras domain i said you never agreed to any engagement. He didn't like that" I chuckled a little.

"Oh... the council seemed to have no resort but to allow this, they knew they couldn't find you once I had given you the slate. Only I could. Although it helps I told you where to go first." I smiled proud of my checkmate served to her council.

"Wow... from silence to King of the council huh?" She smiled.

"King?" I asked looking at her green eyed through my blond bangs.

"In any case, you need a hair cut. Why is your hair so long?" She asked.

"No reason... just never really thought about it." I said finishing the last bit on my plate.

"Here, go wash up I'll clean up here and when your done I'll cut it for you." She said.

"...okay" I said getting up and heading out hack with my washing bowl and towel.

This seems different compared to our other times in the wild...I thought. Normally we would eat hardly talk and sleep. Very little interactions were had, but now it feels... comfortable... Maybe it is just because the pressure of being the Hero is off or maybe I just am tired of the wall there between us.

After cleaning up I went back inside and Zelda holding one of my bows. "Hey sharp shooter," I said smiling at her, "careful with that."

"Actually I have been training... " she grinned. "Want to see?"

Walking over to her I took the bow, "maybe another time." I said. "So where do you want me?" I asked.

"Sit here please." She motioned then ran up grabbing some scissors from my desk upstairs. Zelda return with a comb and her scissors, "any preferences?" She asked.

"Are you sure you can do this?" I asked.

"Yes... now how short are we thinking?" She asked combing through my hair placing her other hand on my shoulder. Now my heart skipped a beat, who's having funny reactions now? Before I could stop myself just like in then cave I reached up and grabbed her free hand.

"I trust you." I said.

Zelda POV

I swallowed thickly after those 3 words. I trust You... "Okay" I said and then began working on his hair. After some time had passed I handed him the mirror and grabbed a broom.

"Wow this looks great!" He said "thanks!"

"You're Welcome"

"It's late, why don't you head up to bed I'll stay down here." He said grabbing an extra blanket and pillow from a container below his stairs. "You are safe I am here." He said looking at me.

"thank you, I'll go to bed then. Good night Link.." I said walking up.

"Good night Zelda.." he said watching me climb the stairs. When I got to the top I walked over to his bed and laid down. Exhaustion crept in as all my bones and muscles final relaxed from feeling safe. It only took a few minutes and I was asleep...

"Hyah! Huut!"

"What..." I said groggily waking up. Sitting up I looked out the window and saw Link. He was training outside. Dressed in his trousers and boots he was going through various sword styles. My cheeks tinted pink watching. sweat was rolling down his back as he almost glistened in the sun. Getting up, I put my hylian trousers on and a plain cloth shirt of his, and went down stairs grabbing water. "Think I'll take him some" I said, glancing at the wall I saw one of our Royal guard swords and grabbed it. Then made my way out.

"Would you like to spar?" I asked. Slashing the sword a little offering him some water. He took it.

"Zelda, put that away, you could get hurt" he said breathing heavily.

"Link I'm not a 'silent princess' come on, I won't break..." I grinned.

He sighed, "Very well... come on then." Motioning for me, put my sword up. "hold on, here," he said tossing me a guardian shield. I picked up the small block watching as a blue circular shield formed. "

"I don't need a-" CLANK! "hey! You didn't say we were starting." I whinned putting my sword up. This time I was ready. I eyed him... although he was distracting I tracked his ever move. He stepped to the left I'd cross to the right. Remembering my teachings from some of the guards not to mention Sidon these few years.

"Nice foot work, but what if I do this" he said lunging forward. I jumped back the lunged forward and struct at him. He blocked with his sword. Then I grinned. "Enough playing, here I come Link..." I smiled. Immediately I darted forward, slashing and striking but to no avail. He would block or parry my attacks. Then finally when we crossed swords he looked at me confused.

"Who taught you" he asked confused.

"Some guards" I said pushing off of him, he struct then I used the shield and shield bashed it throwing him off balance but not for long as he leaped back.

"Who else taught you..." he said crossing his arms.

"Sidon..." I said quietly standing at the ready. His demeanor changed at the mention of him. Instantly he lunges forward I side stepped then he spun sending an elbow at me. I ducked again, narrowly missing, after that it was attack after attack, I quickly became overwhelmed and before I knew it was suddenly loosing my footing and falling towards the small pond.

"Link!" I said falling backwards. He reached for me but it was too late and I fell in. A quiet chuckle left him. "Don't laugh..." i whinned.

"You did good Zelda. You should let me train you though, unless you prefer the Fiancée" he said walking over to me he offered me his hand.

"He's not my Fiancée!!!" I said pulling him down in the water with me. Then laughed. Link turned to look at me and smiled then splashed. "Oh no you don't!!" I said flinging water back at him. He dodged and before I knew it he had his arms around me keeping me from splashing.

"Checkmate" he said breathing heavily behind me. "No more splashing, what would your council say?" He chuckled.

Angry at him for the Fiancée comment I stomped his toe then elbowed his side pushing him off me. "He's not my fiancée" I said storming out of the pond.

"Link... are you alright?" I heard a woman say.

"oh hey Paya.. I didn't know you were coming by" Link groaned.

Paya over, "let me help you.." she said putting her arm around him to stead him. I glance back at him then turned. "Wait Zelda!" He said but I already walked into the house.

He looked awfully cozy with that one...

"No Paya I'm fine really we were just sparring... " he said walking in.

"Well if you're sure Link" she smiled at him then grabbed his arm. "How have you been?" She said. He looked at me and then back at her.

"I'm going to change." I said. Running upstairs I grabbed my other part of light brown pants and links tunic again. I wonder how she'll respond to this... Going back down stairs I spoke, "what's for breakfast today? I can Cook if you'd like Link." I said. Paya glanced at me then her face suddenly paled.

"Link... who is this?" She asked. Link turned around and shot me a look.

"Why... " his expression showed

I narrowed my eyes "ask my fiancée" I shouted loudly in my head.

"This is Zelda... Zelda this is Paya. Impa's granddaughter" he said.

I remember Impa talking about her. Apparently She is rather smitten with Link.

"Alright I'm going to go take a walk while you two catch up" I said.

"Zelda wait, you shouldn't go out there on your own. Remember last time? Hold on!" He said as I walked out the door.

He's right... I agreed with my self then took a deep breath.

"Paya I have to go we can see each other another day." Link said.

I wasn't actually aware I could still hear them from her but... might as well...

"But I came all this way Link..." she said her voice trembling.

"I know Paya, but I have to go with her. Don't you understand? This is not about a matter of choice!" He said raising his voice.

Choice??? Would he pick her...upon hearing that I ran to the hillside behind his house and started climbing

Link POV

"I know Paya, but I have to go with her. Don't you understand? This is not about a matter of choice!" I yelled at her.

"Why is it always Zelda!?" Paya said this firm tears forming.

"I am appointed to guard her and serve her, that is for life Paya!" I argued gathering supplies and my weaponry before walking to the door.

"That's not true Link! She gave you your freedom...5 years ago. What are you doing now? She whistles and you come running back like the good dog you are? is that it?" Paya said.

Now I am angry.

"You don't know anything about her... Paya I know where your feelings lie, I always have my answer is the same then as it is now. It's her. It will always be her and right now she needs me. It's not a matter of choice or obligation, don't you understand, I'm not just choosing to stay here next to her cause I care about her and I'm not just doing this because if I don't seal what's trying to kill her now, no one can. How you feel for me... is how I've always felt for her. Paya there can only be her... please. I need to go..." I said. This time I walked out leaving Paya crying in my house.

Zelda where are you... as midday approached I was no closer to finding her than before. Giving up I went back through town. Glancing towards the buildings behind my house, I saw a small movement in the windmill. Pulling out the bike, I go on and rode up.

"Zelda come, come down from there." I said.

"I am perfectly fine Link I'll be along in a minute. Leave me be" Zelda said her tone completely cold.

"Guess I'll just wait here then." I said taking a seat. "We really should come up with a plan you know."

"Right cause it's not like you have a choice!" Zelda yelled down at me. "Fine, tomorrow we will go up to the Spring of Wisdom..." she said climbing down.

Choice?! She heard us?!

"What did you hear earlier?" I said as panic and hopefulness hit me at the same. Did she hear all of it? Does she feel the same way?

"I heard enough Link. Is she still-"

Zelda's eyes flashed black then her face became still as her eyes shifted to a red glow

"really are we squabbling.. now... " the malice said.

"Get out of her Ganon..." I said pulling the master sword.

"What will you do hero? stab me? Then you stab her! Hahahah! Please, she will be my new vessel, and to thingk her piece of the triforce will work for me. I am almost Giddy thinking of the possibilities. She's not have bad looking either!" Ganon said feeling on Zelda's body.

"Don't you touch her!" I yelled drawing me sword and swing at-

"Link?? What happened why are you..." she said confused.

"Ganon he took control of your body... he was...taunting mel" I said as my anger seemed to bubble over now making me tremble.

"Change of plans we go to the shrine now, can we ride that cycle up the mountain?" She asked. I nodded. "Good, let's go." She said.

Stopping by the house we grabbed our warmer clothes then headed up the mountain. Bokoblins attacked again and this time Zelda held her own. Unsheathing her sword she cut through them. This Zelda... she was different from the one in my memories all those years ago. This one... she was a sight to behold.

"LOOK OUT!" She yelled throwing her sword through a Bokoblin. "Pay attention!" She said pulling another one.

Once we made it to the top, I looked over at her. She was breathing heavily, her hair slightly wet from the snow and sweat and had Bokoblin blood on her face. Walking over I put my hand on her cheek and whipped the blood away her face leaned into my hand as she closed her eyes then the shot open and she pulled away.

"Let's go" she said walking past me.

"I'll always follow you... and that doesn't require choice.." I said low.

Zelda POV

Placing my weapons by the spring I looked at the stone Goddess. A loud roar soon echoed as a large serpent spirit descended from the sky. It wrapped its body around the mountain and lowered its head to me.

"Hello old friend" I said gently patting its nose. "Thank you for guarding me." It chuffed then darted its gaze to Link. "He is a friend... for now" I said. Like shot me a pleading look. I began removing my clothing

"What are you doing? You'll freeze..." Link said rushing forward. He was greeted with a loud warning growl.

"I cannot enter the spring covered in blood. It is impure." Once I was left in my underclothes and I thought I couldn't be any colder, I stepped in the pool. Icy waters took my breath away as my shivers became violent. Getting on my knees and opening my hands I spoke to Hylia.

"Goddess... grant me you wisdom in this dark hour" I said.

"Zelda..." Link said.

I suddenly felt super warm my left hand began to glow and then I saw white...

"Zelda... "

Opening my eyes I was met with a being, solid in light. Her hair and her eyes remained closed. "Who are you?"

"I am you..."

"What? That makes no sense..." I said confused.

"I would expect you to say that. Look around..." Shifting my gaze I noticed I was in a grassy field. Off I was able to see what looked like central Hyrule... but where is the castle?

"Where are we??" I asked turning back to the flowing woman. Her form still hard to make out but her hair has changed. It had become blonder and short like mine.

"observe..." she said. Pointing at the castle. I saw a woman who looked like me only with longer hair. She was standing next to a man they were holding hands and discussing plans.

"I still think it needs to be a castle..." the man said.

"Link, we don't need a castle..." the woman said.

Link???

"Is that us...?" I asked staring at the woman. Glancing back to the pair I saw the woman kiss the man then squeeze his hand. Her triforce began to glow and she waved hands and the grass stopped blowing, the man was motionless and the woman turned around to see me and the Wisdom spirit.

"Hello there." She said smiling at me. "I've been waiting for you." Although we looked eerily similar, we had our differences. Her hair was longer than mine and her eyes were a lighter blue and her ears were longer.

"I am Zelda." She said, "and so are you, just like she is." She finished pointing towards the floating being. Now the Two looked the same. When I glanced back from the glowing being to her the being shifted and spoke "as I am you..."

"I am very confused." I said, "how are we all 'Zelda'?"

"You have yet to regain your memories of your past lives. We are all reincarnates of Hylia..." Zelda said to me. The shrine spirit nodded in agreement.

"I am the lost immortal form of Hylia... I am not only Zelda, I am she who was before Zelda in the cycle."

"And I am the first" she said. "I came from Skyloft down to the Hyrules land after the defeat of demise with Link." She said smiling looking back at him. I looked over at him.

"He is not the same as your Link, I imagine mine. is far more immature." She chuckled.

"This is nice and all but, Ganon is inside my body... how do I seal him? He's started to take possession of me. Even today Link almost-"

"Calm daughter of Hylia..." Hylia spoke. "Darkness cannot thrive where there is only light. What resides in you is the light of ancients."

"Zelda, you must come to terms with who you are... in each of these springs we shall present you with a test... upon their completion the spirit is of wisdom, courage, and power will grant you their powers. Come" Zelda said. "In you lies the power of 'knowledge'. You are not just smart by nature but by divinity as well."

"What does that mean?" I asked.

"Our memories, our shared collective knowledge on how our piece of the triforce works. The abilities we gained it. You need only ask..."

"Close your eyes. I shall give you your first memory..." Hylia said.

Flashback

"Link! We cannot stay here... Demise be is going to be released now unless I go to the past and seal him...". The first reincarnated Zelda said. " I know you'll find me..." As her words finished she began to glow. The light first emanating from hand then spreading throughout her body until she was encased in an amber stone crystal.

"Zelda... please no..." Link cried.

End flashback

"Daughter of Hylia this is the sacred seal... you have already perform this before when you locked Ganon away."

"Stasis?" I asked.

"You do can activate this when needed. Slow you mind and focus. Deep breaths then life your left hand. When you are ready slowly turn your hand palm up. you will activate your seal." Zelda said.

"I have sealed us in the memory with my Link... break this and this gift will be yours"... she said walking back to where she was.

Breathing deep I looked at Hylia one more time, then Zelda. If the goal is breaking then seal I shall do it in reverse. I thought. I lifted my arm palm face up then slowly rotated my my left hand till my palm was face down. The triforce on my hand glowed and time resumed its course. However I was no longer in the grassy meadow, I was being cradled by my Link and wrapped in about a milling blankets.

"I..passed.." I choked out.

"Zelda!"

"Well done daughter... I shall grant you this..."

Link was startled by the voice of the light that floated towards us. It slowly passed straight into my chest and my triforce began to glow.

"What was that?" Link asked. Holding me close. Looking at his worried face I was reminding for the first Zelda and Link. Closing my eyes I search my divine memory and saw various flashes of them. They had a different dynamic... one they I wanted with my Link...

"Divine Knowledge..." I said sitting up. When the glow faded I became aware of the suddenly freezing waters of the spring.

Link POV

Riding the cycle back down to Hateno village was much quieter than compared to the first time we rode together. Zelda held my sides to keep steady the whole way down but said nothing. Slowing the the bike out front of my house I dismounted and helped her down.

"Are you alright?" I asked. "What happened up there?"

"Good night Link... tomorrow we can prepare to leave for the shrine of power..." she said walking in the house. Gripping her arm I pulled her back.

"Zelda wait... what happened? What is divine knowledge? How can it-"

"Did you know I'm am only one of many Zelda's?" She asked looking at me. This time her eyes shown Gold. "There have been many since I, I mean Hylia, exchanged her mortal form to save the people... and her champion."

"What do you mean you're only one Zelda..." I asked.

"When then demon king attacked he took the form of various things. Malice, hate, a physical form with white hair that turned to flames. In his pursuit for the world, I spilt the sky to protect my people and placed a blessing in the world one champion would always rise. He would be able to wield the sword that seals darkness... and to protect the those ion the ground i sacrificed my mortal for to reincarnate to protect the Hylian people and the other races against the evil... what I didn't anticipate was during my first reincarnation I would do so in the sky with my Champion. Nor did I realize after the destruction of the Demon King he cursed the hero..." she said staring at me her eyes still golden.

"Link... to seal this darkness you must reach the current Zelda... she must tap into her others abilities... fear threatens to take her at every opportunity...You are the reincarnated spirit of the Champion. You possess the power of courage...help her see she is not alone...Love drowns out all fear especially when one is courageous enough to protect it..." Zelda's eyes fluttered shut and she collapsed. Catching her I brought her inside and laid her on the bed.
