Prompt: "There's slick everywhere, let me wash you."

For the first time in days, Kim Dokja woke up with a sense of clarity in his brain. For a while, he tried to figure it out, before he realized.

Ah.

My heat is over.

Sighing in relief, he tried to get up from the bed, feeling sticky all over. He was aware of the lack of his alpha, Yoo Joonghyuk, and vaguely wondered where he was. Probably making breakfast for the others.

The sound of the bathroom door connected to their room opening confirmed that Kim Dokja's suspicions were false.

"Joonghyuk-ah," Kim Dokja called out, a small smile on his face.

"Your heat is over?" Yoo Joonghyuk questioned, glancing him over. He probably saw just how much heat and slick was gathered on his body.

Kim Dokja nodded. "Yeah, I think it is."

"There's slick everywhere," Yoo Joonghyuk said. "Let me wash you."

Kim Dokja opened his mouth to protest. There really wasn't any need for Yoo Joonghyuk to take time out of his day and wash him. Then he shut his mouth. If Yoo Joonghyuk really wanted to, who was Kim Dokja to deny him?

"Come on." Yoo Joonghyuk helped Kim Dokja stand up on unsteady legs and walked him over to the bathtub, before dumping him inside.

"Ow," Kim Dokja protested. "You don't have to be so rough."

"If you really didn't like it, then you'd tell me," Yoo Joonghyuk said, and yeah, it was true, Kim Dokja didn't really dislike it, though he wouldn't admit to liking it.

Yoo Joonghyuk started the hot water, and Kim Dokja sighed and relaxed in the tub. It felt good. When he'd first presented as an omega, he hadn't thought that hot water after a heat would feel good. It was a heat, after all. Why would more heat feel better after all that unwelcome heat? But after he tried it, he realized just how good it felt. He tried to take a bath after each heat, but he didn't always have the time…

Yoo Joonghyuk started to wash him, and Kim Dokja closed his eyes. His alpha's touch felt good.

I never would have expected that he could be this gentle.

"I love you," Kim Dokja murmured.

"I love you too," Yoo Joonghyuk replied.

After Kim Dokja was washed up, he threw on some clothes. Picking up his white coat, he put that on as well. When Han Sooyoung had first accused him of matching with Yoo Joonghyuk, he had denied it, but now? Yeah, it was pretty much true that one of the reasons he wore it was to match with his boyfriend.

He grinned at Yoo Joonghyuk. Yoo Joonghyuk rolled his eyes and looked away. Getting a smile out of Yoo Joonghyuk was easier now than it had been during the scenarios, but it was still hard.

"Can you make it to breakfast?" Yoo Joonghyuk asked him.

"I know I haven't walked in days, but I think I'll be fine," Kim Dokja responded.

"If you fall, I won't catch you."

Kim Dokja knew that that wasn't true. Yoo Joonghyuk had caught him before when he fell. Kim Dokja guessed he just didn't like admitting that he would do it. It was kind of cute, actually.

"That's fine," he said, making his way to the door. He unlocked it and left, then began making his way to the kitchen, keeping close to the wall just as a precaution. Yoo Joonghyuk stayed close to him every step of the way.

He did not fall, but he was glad to know that he had Yoo Joonghyuk if he did. Even if Yoo Joonghyuk wouldn't admit it.

Even though his heat had ended, Kim Dokja didn't really feel the desire to really do anything. Han Sooyoung had seemed a bit annoyed at that, probably because usually his tasks fell to her, but there wasn't really anything to do, so what was the harm?

"She's going to be so annoyed at me tomorrow," Kim Dokja groaned as that realization finally hit him.

Yoo Joonghyuk didn't respond, using the excuse of putting new sheets on the bed.

"But it's not like there's anything special happening today, is there? Nothing more for her to do!"

"Did you really expect anything different from her?" Yoo Joonghyuk asked.

No, Kim Dokja had not. He promptly shut up.

Finally finished with the bed, Yoo Joonghyuk looked at Kim Dokja. Kim Dokja got up from the chair and flopped down on the bed. Wow, he was tired. "I know I just woke up a few hours ago," he said, "but maybe I could sleep again."

"Do it," Yoo Joonghyuk said. "I'll wake you up if anything happens."

Kim Dokja grinned at that. "I love you," he said, curling up on the bed.

He was so tired that he fell asleep before he could hear Yoo Joonghyuk's response, but he knew what the alpha was going to say.

"I love you too."

When Kim Dokja woke up, he discovered that Han Sooyoung had updated her webnovel, and was reading the latest chapter, Yoo Joonghyuk sitting next to him.

"She really put a lot of effort into this," Kim Dokja noted. "No wonder her webnovel is famous worldwide."

"Also because we're famous worldwide," Yoo Joonghyuk said.

Yeah, right, they had saved the world. That was true.

Kim Dokja leaned into Yoo Joonghyuk, and the alpha wrapped his arms around him. Kim Dokja breathed in his scent, familiar and warm. This scent, this person, had stayed with him throughout his heat, and stayed with him even afterwards. Kim Dokja had never thought he would get a chance with Yoo Joonghyuk of all people, but here they were.

Kim Dokja took Yoo Joonghyuk's hand in his. The former regressor intertwined their fingers together, a gesture he probably never would have done in front of all the others.

Kim Dokja smiled lightly. He truly loved this man. His life and death companion, who had been with him for so long. The person he wanted to spend the rest of his life with.

"Tomorrow, you shouldn't lay in bed all day," Yoo Joonghyuk said. "The others will either be worried or mad."

Kim Dokja laughed. "What about you?"

"Would you really like to find out?"

Letting out a soft sigh, Kim Dokja closed his eyes, feeling content with his alpha with him.

"Not really," he murmured.

Yoo Joonghyuk didn't respond. Kim Dokja didn't care. Yoo Joonghyuk's pleasant scent was enough for him.
