Can I become human?Author: KushiPublished: 2021

Ayanokouji Kiyotaka comes to Sobu High in Chiba as his father said if he did that, he will let him complete his high school years peacefully. Knowing him, he decided to agree to come here. The service club is now give the role to turn him into a human. Will they be able to do that? I don't own cote or oregairu. If i did i wouldn't have been writing a fanfic. :)

A transfer?

Due to unknown reasons I was transferred from my school to a school here in Chiba. While I was leaving, my school mates looked at me with a sad expression. I did not feel like leaving but that man promised that if I leave this school and live in Chiba he will let me live my high school life in peace. I know that he had some other motives behind but I was sure about one thing. He never breaks a promise.

Here I was in Sobu high. I was assigned the Class 2-F. There must be a lot of sections in this school. Since I transferred in July which meant school was still functioning, I got little time to get used to my new apartment. It was a normal 1 bedroom apartment with a kitchen, bathroom and also a living room with it and it was on one of the top floors of a really tall building.

I was given a monthly allowance which made it easy for me to survive here. So, one and a half years here and then I have to head back to the white room.

I was standing outside the classroom as the homeroom teacher, Hiratsuka-sensei was telling the students about the transfer. Soon she called for me,

"Come in now."

I enter the classroom. So this was how a normal high school classroom look like. Honestly it was not much different from my older school but it had a different feel about it. I stood there and thought to myself. I have ruined my introduction once before, I cannot do it again. I begin speaking with a smile,

"Hello everyone, my name is Ayanokouji Kiyotaka. I love to read books. Nice to meet you all."

Looks like this time it was a victory. This time the claps were not forced or out of sympathy but genuine. I recently learned how to smile from the net and practiced it many times. At first, it looked really creepy but now it feels more natural.

"Okay Ayanokouji, go sit there," said Hiratsuka-sensei pointing to an empty seat next to a girl with blonde hair. She kind of reminded me of Kei. I head over there and quietly sit at my seat. As I sat she introduced herself,

"Muira Yumiko. Nice to meet you."

I quietly bow my head. I had my poker face back so she looked a little reluctant to continue a conversation with me. I realized it and said to her.

"Sorry, that's just how I normally am since I was little. Nice to meet you."

The class starts and the teachers started teaching. As I already knew everything that was taught I quietly observed the class. To my right I noticed a boy dozing off in the middle of class. He had black colored hair and a really uninterested look on his face. Hiratsuka-sensei called him,

"You really hate my class don't you Hikigaya."

He woke up. His eyes resembled that of a dead fish and he was suddenly woken from his slumber by sensei's irritated voice. This is how he ended up here with me in the teacher's office. When she finished scolding him, she turned towards me.

"So, Ayanokouji, I heard from your previous records that you have helped other students with their problems?"

Where did she hear that? I don't like where this is going. She somehow reminded me of Chabashira-sensei. I simply nodded. She smiled and then told me to follow her. I followed her quietly as Hikigaya besides me was also heading in the same direction though he was reluctant to go there so he was threatened with a fist by sensei.

She opened the door to a classroom. All the desks were stacked in the back along with the chairs. There was one chair in the room occupied by a girl with long black hair. Her elegant look resembled that of Horikita. Calling her good looking will be an understatement, she was beautiful. She was reading a book and upon seeing us she said,

"Hiratsuka-sensei, please knock before entering."

"Now this feels like a déjà vu because this happens every single time. I brought a new member to the club."

I hoped she meant Hikigaya but he casually took a chair so that means he was already in this club and there was no other student except for me who was standing behind her.

"Do I know you?" asked Yukinoshita.

"Hello, I am Ayanokouji Kiyotaka from Class 2-F. I just transferred here today from Tokyo. As for your question, I don't think so."

Looks like I am joining a club now. A new experience in this new school. I hope this club will not be too tiresome. From what sensei told me in our short conversation I think I have a vague idea what this club is about. Yukinoshita scanned me from top to bottom and then nodded.

"Since it's your request I cannot ignore it."

"Also make this guy more expressive. That is also my request."

"What do you mean sensei?"

"Oh, let me rephrase this. Make him a human."

I look at sensei with confused look on my face. How does she know so much about me? I wonder. She saw me understood what I wanted to ask.

"I know someone from "there"."

I understood at once what she meant. So this is what he wanted. Now that I learnt everything I had to in academics and other field, there is only one thing I needed to learn. Being an actual human. It is important if you are leading a really big group of people, this trait is something which cannot be denied at all. That's why he sent me here. This was part of it isn't it?

"I'll be in your care," I said with my monotone voice.

Hearing that Yukinoshita looked at me with a curious look on her face. Sensei left and I was just standing there.

"May I sit?" I asked.

"Looks like you at least know some proper manners."

"What do you mean by that?" I say that while sitting down on my chair.

"The existence over there growled at me when he first came here instead of asking a proper question which you asked. Also I am extremely sorry I lumped you with that existence called Hikigaya-kun."

I feel bad for him being trash talked but from what Yukinoshita said, he had it coming. I slowly picked up my book and started reading. I could feel Yukinoshita and Hikigaya's stare on me,

"Do you need something?"

"Do you know what club this is or what we do?" asked Hikigaya.

"I don't know about the name but I think this club helps people with the problems they are facing. If I had to guess for a name maybe helper's club?"

Their eyes widened from my answer. I was right on point but I felt I was wrong about the name.

"You are right about almost everything but you got the name wrong. It's the service club."

I thought so. Helpers club felt a bit of a childish name so I had my doubt. A girl who I recognized form my class entered the room in a jolly manner.

"Yukinon, yahallo," she said. She entered the room and sat down beside me. After some time when she noticed Yukinoshita's gaze on me she jumped back in surprise.

"Oh, Ayanokouji-kun. Wait, what are you doing here?"

"Apparently I am also part of this club now."

"Oh, is that so? By the way my name is Yuigahama Yui."

She reminded me of Kushida but not the real one. She took her chairand put it little away from me towards Yukinoshita. It hurts a bit but I think it makes sense. You don't want to sit next to someone who you don't properly know. So this is how it feels like to be in a club?

The entire time we were reading our respective book while Yuigahama was on her phone. It was a little different form the phone we had in ANHS. Finally the last bell rang telling us to go home. I quietly picked up my bag as I was leaving. Walking to the train station I noticed someone who was tailing me. I decided to leave that matter aside because I don't think they are the type of person to do these things. I got off the train and so did that person. I entered the building and went to the elevator, while it was closing she called me out,

"Wait."

I stopped the elevator for Yukinoshita who was behind me the entire time. She got in and pressed the button for the top floor. There was no conversation starting between us so there was an awkward silence. We got off and as I turned to open my door she stopped.

"To think that you are my new neighbor."

I turned around to see Yukinoshita with an amusing smile on her face. So... she is my neighbor. As I came to that realization I started entering the room quickly but she stopped me with a question,

"What did sensei mean by that?"

I turned as Yukinoshita was standing there with her arms folded. It would take a little time so I offered her to come in which she accepted. She sat in the living room and started scanning the room. I walked up to her asking,

"I have tea, coffee and chocolate. Which one do you want?"

"I don't need anything just an answer," she said.

I sat down opposite to her. I did not trust her yet so I cannot tell her everything but I think I can give her a vague idea about it. I started,

"Do you know what the most important thing that makes a human is?"

"I did not expect a question back but let's see. I think they are emotions. They are what makes us humans, they are what defines us as humans. We feel sad, happy, hurt, love, hatred, fear and so on. These are the vitals which means we are human."

I did not expect a really good answer. She was right on the mark. I simply nodded and then continued,

"Well, I don't feel those. I don't know what they are. I don't know what love is, what fear is, what it's like to being close to someone. What it's like to lose someone or something. I don't know all that. In fact, I am a horrible human being. All I care about is winning. As long as that happens, nothing else matters to me."

As I said that I decided to show Yukinoshita my eyes. My true form. This could give her a vague idea of who and what I am. More than enough information for her to understand what kind of case is she dealing with but looks like I have scared her a little. I moved my gaze away as she was shaking in her own spot. Looks like I have overdone this.

What she saw was the darkness in my eyes. The eyes which does not know what being a human is. The ones who sees others as tools but nothing else and do not hesitate to sacrifice them. This darkness is enough to make anyone feel fear.

Yukinoshita was still in shock so I decided to be quite and wait for her to calm down. It took some time but she did calm down. She was back to her normal composed self but I could still see that fear in her eyes of what she saw. She saw me with scared eyes while she was stuttering,

"I... is... th-th-that all?"

I simply nodded. That is why I offered her a beverage so that it could help calm her down. I walked up and made a cup of coffee for her. I placed it in front of her while she was just staring at the cup.

"It is safe to drink, I did not poison it. It will help you calm down," I said. She reluctantly took the coffee mug as she was still staring at me. After drinking the coffee she calmed down completely. I asked her,

"Calmed down?"

"Yes," she said.

"I am sorry, I shouldn't have done that," I said that bowing down my head. I actually felt that I shouldn't have done it so I had to apologize.

"It's okay. It was because I became really curious."

"It is the driving force of us humans," I said.

She stands up and starts leaving. I followed her, then she turned around.

"Ayanokouji-kun, I welcome you to the service club. Also we will try our best to solve this," she said with a determined face. I couldn't help but be a little relieved. She is not the type of person who is into gossips so showing this side of mine to her may not be that bad.

She left and I then went to lay on the bed. Suddenly my phone rings. I pick it up and say an unidentified caller.

"Hello."

"Kiyotaka," said that man.

"What do you want? You said you will let me live my freedom," I said that trying to sound a little irritated.

"I just want you to do one thing. Before your high school life ends, fall in love," he cuts the call.

What does he mean by that? What he has done till now is contradicting with everything he has done in the past. To him these all things were unnecessary and did not matter then why? He did say that the course is revised when it was shut down, is that what he meant by it? I went down through different scenarios in my head when I finally came to a conclusion. So they were the ones who did it.

Looks like I will not have a peaceful high school life but I will try to enjoy it.

Author's note: Yes, now I am working on three books at the same time. Call me a workaholic, a masochist, a dedicated idiot or anything but the thing is if I get an idea I just want to write it. So here it is. I originally thought to do a kiyoxkei and hachimanxyukino but I like kiyo and yukino more. Sorry all the kie fans but it is the truth. I hope you like it.

The actual start of my new high school life

As I was thinking in the bed I did not realize that I was already asleep. I woke up and checked the time. It was 7:00 AM. I took a bath and got ready for school. I made a proper breakfast before leaving and locked the door. I walked to the elevator and before it was about to close, I stopped it as I spotted Yukinoshita as she was also leaving. She entered the elevator and greeted me. I responded with a nod.

We did not talk the entire way to school but I could feel her looking at me from time to time. I decided to ignore her for now. I entered my classroom and quietly sat on my seat. A boy with blonde hair walked up to me as I was taking out my book. He had a big smile on his face which meant he was in the top of the hierarchy in the boys.

"Hello, Ayanokouji-kun. I did not get to introduce myself earlier. My name is Hayama Hayato. If there is anything you need, feel free to tell me."

I nodded quietly as he was smiling. The door opened and I saw Hikigaya enter the room he looked towards me and made a disgusted face and quietly sat on his seat while listening to music. He reminded me how I was in the first year in the beginning. A person with no presence. While I was deep in thought Hayama was just standing there. I saw a concerned look on his face.

"Are you okay?" he asked.

"Oh, sorry. I was deep in my thought," I replied.

His behavior reminded me of Hirata. I wanted to know what all has happened till now in the school and it looks like I joined just before summer break. So I will have holidays within a week. I do not have much time to make friends. I really am sounding desperate.

After this exchange, Hayama walked back to his group standing around Miura. Yuigahama was also part of that group but she used to glace at Hikigaya from time to time. I wonder what their relationship with each other is. I get the feeling that they are connected to each other in a different way. They are my fellow club members so I think I will help them. Becoming human huh? I wonder if I can do that.

I tried to learn falling in love but came here so I had to leave Kei. I saw tears in her eyes as she saw me leave. I entrusted her with all the points I had and told her to find someone who will treat her better and not like me. I know that was a really cruel request for but even she knew she couldn't do anything about it. She is stronger now so she will find a way to live without me. She is no longer a parasite.

Pushing those thoughts away I came back to the original world with Hiratsuka-sensei punching Hikigaya in his guts. A little more to the top and that punch would have stopped him from breathing. She does know about martial arts. Hikigaya, who woke up and came back to his senses started returning to his seat while holding his stomach. Is this supposed to be allowed?

During lunch I decided to go and check the library. They had some good stuff but I had read it all. I requested some books which I have not read yet and they told they are already ordered and coming within three to four days. I walked back to my classroom and decided to eat my lunch there as I did not have time to find a good spot to eat yet. Miura and her group were as loud as ever. They noticed me and called for me,

"Hey Ayanokouji-kun, why don't you join us?"

Wait. I am allowed to do that? They all smile at me and nodded as I was introduced to the group. The well build brown haired guy was called Tobe Kakeru. Same first name as Ryuuen huh? The guy to his right was called Ooka. He was more outgoing and easy to get along according to Hayama. The person to the left was called Yamato he was very calm even though he was tall. Among the girls there was only Muira and then Ebina Hina who wore glasses. She was good looking but she looked at Hayama and his group with a creepy smile. I wonder why.

Now they started asking me questions,

"So, Ayanokouji-kun which school you used to attend before this?" asked Miura.

"Tokyo metropolitan Advanced Nurturing High School," I replied. At that point there was absolute silence in the class. They all looked at me with shock.

"Wait, wait, wait. You mean that school?" asked Miura.

I simply nodded. With this everyone gathered around me asking different questions about me and the school. I replied to all them which was really tiresome. I had never spoken to these many people all at the same time. To the students here going in that school is like a dream. This resulted into me not able to finish my lunch.

After classes I headed to the service club room. I found that I was first to arrive. After a minute I spotted Yukinoshita. She had the keys and opened the room. I too entered and pulling out a chair started reading my book. After a few seconds she broke the ice.

"I heard that there was a handsome guy transferred in our school from ANHS," she said.

"I wonder who that is," I replied knowing well that she was talking about me. She turned towards me closing her book and said.

"May I ask the reason why you dropped out of that school to here? Entering that school is every Japanese kid's dream."

Hearing her question I gave the same and most efficient answer in this situation.

"Family matters."

Hearing this answer no one will ask any further question thinking they may get into someone's personal matters. She simply nodded her head saying, "I see. Every family has their own things to deal with. Is that why you live alone?"

"You are quite aware of things. Yes, you could say that." I decided to give her a vague answer. Thanks to the one year I spent at ANHS I do not have problem with dealing with people. Also Yukinoshita reminds me of Horikita, my first friend so talking to her is not a problem.

Soon Hikigaya enters the room followed by Yuigahama. I think they came here together. Yuigahama jolly as ever greets us.

"Yahallo Yukinon," she said.

"Ya... Good afternoon Yuigahama-san."

"Ayanon, yahallo," she said while waving her hand.

That name does bring back memories when the Ayanokouji group was made. Soon it turned into a more embarrassing "Kiyopon" but I do not mind that now.

"Hello Yuigahama," I said.

Hikigaya looked at me as I asked what happened he replied,

"You are okay with her calling you something this embarrassing."

"One of my friend back in my old high school called me the same," I said.

"To think even Ayanokouji-kun has friends. You should too make some," said Yukinoshita to mocking tone.

"No need for that," I said denying what just Yukinoshita said. They all looked at me with curious expression on their face while Hikigaya looked at me as if he found someone like him. I need to clear their doubts.

"You don't need to make some friends. Just one is enough but make sure you can completely trust him and he never betrays you. That is all you will ever need in your life. One true friend who is always by your side. Make that one friend Hikigaya and there is nothing more you will need to do. For example that girl you talk to who has grey hair. You can start trying to her your true friend. The gender does no matter."

They were all dumb fold by what I just said. Yuigahama speaks up,

"Totsuka Saika is a boy."

Huh? Wait did I hear that correct? That person is a boy? They were still quite from what I spoke. Hikigaya looks at me as if his expectations were broken but the other two looked like they agreed with me. Hikigaya tried to brush away from what I said saying,

"You sound like my dad."

"That means I am wiser and more mature than you."

He was taken back by my reply. He did not see it coming but that is what it means if you say that to someone. Calling someone mockingly your dad or mom just means that you know they are correct but do not want to believe that due to you "pride".

Yukinoshita lets out a little laughs. She loves when Hikigaya is called out like this.

"I don't want to hear that from you Mr. Popular," he said.

"Don't worry, it will go after a week. I assure you," I replied. I do not want to be the center of attention or standing out. I will just keep a low profile. It will be more than enough. Seeing that this school is not like ANHS, so there will be very less chances for me to stand out.

Yuigahama pulled out a chair next to Yukinoshita as I was immersed in my book. Hikigaya is a very interesting person. No, the correct wording is unique. He is aware of the fact he is a loner but he takes pride in it. He is not a loner by chance but by choice. This means he has gone through somethings in his past. Humans being the way they are always try to be in groups. A person's individual ability can only get him so far. So, it natural for them meaning something different happened to Hikigaya.

For now I decided to not start that topic with Hikigaya as it looks like he kinds of hates me. As I am going to spend most my time with these people I need to get to know them better. Having those thoughts, Yuigahama asked me,

"Hey, Ayanon. Can you tell us more about yourself?"

"What do you want to know?" I asked.

"About your life in the past. I got to know about ANHS from Miura when they talked to you. I was not there. Maybe tell us about your life in middle school." Hearing that both Hikigaya and Yukinoshita looked up curious.

"There is nothing much. My life before high school was a blank white slate. So I cannot tell much."

"What do you mean by a blank slate?" asked Hikigaya.

"Just what I meant. Nothing really happened."

"The only people who say that are the ones who have the most boring past or they just don't want to tell people about their past. So which one is yours?" he asked. He was right about it. Looks like he is more than he looks like.

"I have a boring past," I lied. Telling them about my past will not help me in any way possible. Also I know even if they know about it they won't say it but I do not want to take the risk. It's the most irrational thing to do.

Hikigaya smirked and got back to reading his book. Yuigahama whispered in my ear,

"Sorry about Hikki. He is a bit... you know."

"Don't worry. It's okay," I said.

Hearing me she smiled widely. I have confirmed by this that Hikigaya is not someone you can find every day. He was different from others. That he needs to change. He being that way is not wrong but this mentality of his has to change or he will not be able to survive in the society. Maybe I am thinking like his father now.

I got back to my book reading it. Thus, it was another day of just reading book in a club made to help or as Yukinoshita likes saying, assist others. The final bell rang tell us to go home. I stood up walking towards the door but Hikigaya called me out,

"Hey Ayanokouji"

I turned around looking at him as he was standing up and the girls looking at him a little worried.

"I think I really need a true friend. You are right about that," he said.

"Good that you understood it. Keep everything that happened in the past in the past. I know that is not very easy, it comes and haunts you every single day but do not stop moving forward. That will suit you more," I said then walking away. With this I made my first friend here in the school. I look forward to spending the rest of my time here with you Hikigaya.

I while going home I felt like drinking coffee and I spotted a café. Looks like I will go there now. I ordered coffee and then taking it sat there reading my book while enjoying my coffee. I tried diluting three to four times seeing what will happen. While I was doing it I could hear other people's giggles. I am just curious so let me do it. It was a bad idea.

After finishing my ruined coffee I decided to head back but was stopped by a group of girls who wore Sobu high's uniform. The girl in the front asked,

"You are Ayanokouji-kun of Class 2-F right?"

I simply nodded while they all started smiling and then walked away. What was that? I could not understand why they walked away after asking it.

"They were playing a game of dares. That was a dare that they just did," said Hikigaya who was standing beside me.

"Hmm. I do not understand this but okay. See you tomorrow," saying that I left for my home for real this time. Entering my room I crashed on the couch. I saw many people in movies doing it so I felt like trying it. Doing this is a little dangerous. You can get hurt if you don't land properly.

During the night I pondered more over the question, "Can I become human?" Is a person like me allowed to become a human? It's not that I am sad for all the sins I have committed. Humans commit countless sins in their life. It is inevitable but they still can call themselves humans. Is it the same for me? I wonder.

The next day, I entered the clubroom finding Yukinoshita sitting in her seat. I calmly greeted her and she greeted back. Taking my chair, I sat down reading. At that moment she broke the silence,

"Ayanokouji-kun."

"Hmm."

"What kind of person do you want to be known as?" she asked.

Interesting, I never thought about that question. I simply pondered it for some time then answering her,

"I think be being a human being is enough."

"Is that so?"

I simply nodded when Yuigahama slammed the door open with Hikigaya behind her. He greeted us,

"Yukinon, Ayanon, yahallo."

"Yo."

"Good afternoon Yuigahama-san."

"Yo, Ayanokouji," said Hikigaya.

"Yo."

With this greeting we sat at our respective places when the door opens and a healthy guy wearing a coat, fingerless gloves and glasses entered the room. Is he one of those people who other call chuni? Because this look is not allowed here in the school. Also isn't he feeling hot in it? If I were in place I would be sweating the Nigera falls out.

"Ha ha. Hachiman, I have come again with a new piece of work to be reviewed. This time I assure you it is a masterpiece."

Hikigaya sighs to himself,

"Again Zaimokuza?" he said.

"Who is he? Your friend?" I asked Hikigaya. Also he was calling him by his first name so they have to be close.

"NO! He is Zaimokuza Yoshiteru. He gets paired up with me when we are in gym because both of us are loners."

"That does make sense," saying that I returned back to my book but he pushed it away and brought bunch of papers in front of me.

"What are these?" I asked.

"I heard that there was a new transfer student in our school and also that he loves books. So, I give you the privilege to read it."

I did not have so much to do so I accepted his offer. As I was about to read Hikigaya whispered in my ear "All the best". Why would I need that? I realized that after reading those two hundred pages of torture. It was so painful to read that I started rubbing my head. I looked at Zaimokuza and said,

"I read it whole. Now for the review."

"Wait, you read that all in so less time?" asked Hikigaya in surprise.

"Yes."

He snatched the papers from my hand and asked me questions about the story which I answered without any problem because unfortunately I cannot forget a story no matter how bad it is. They all looked at me with awe while I had my poker face on,

"Most of the time in my life has been behind a book so I am fast at reading these," I had to come up with an excuse.

"Now listen Zaimokuza. You know that I love reading books and stories," I said.

"Yes," he replied with his head high. I am really sorry.

"After reading this I regret having that habit. Some more of it and I might stop reading at all. There are so many grammatical errors and phrases that do not make sense. There are many scenes in the story which do not help to the actual plot. Also your explanation of places is wordy and awful and from the way you explained the look of characters, I feel all of them are half naked. I have more but I cannot continue if you just lay there in agony."

Zaimokuza had fallen to the floor while clutching his heart. I need to make him not lose his passion,

"But even after all that. I can see a certain amount of people liking and enjoying it. Also I like the setting that you chose. Your ideas are good but you just have problems implementing them. Take care of that and you can make a really good work of art."

Zaimokuza looks at me with a look of hope. Looks like it is done. What he needed was someone pointing out his mistakes and also telling him how dedicated in passionate he was for it. No matter how many times he faced rejection, he will still write.

"Hmmm. I see you understand the depth behind it. So, next time general Ayanokouji, I will bring a better story and you have to agree it is good."

With that he walks out of the room with his new build pride. Everyone was staring at me quietly.

"What is it?" I asked. Hikigaya chuckled and then speaks up.

"Like I thought you really are something else Ayanokouji."

"Yes, who would have thought that you would end the review with that," said Yuigahama.

"It's because this guy right here has done things like this multiple times. When it comes to helping people, no one can be a better option than him?"

We turned around finding Hiratsuka-sensei standing at the door. She had her arms folded and there was something in her breast pocket. It was like a square box. Without realizing I found myself staring at it when Yukinoshita bonked my head from behind,

"That is really impolite you know," she said.

"I was wondering what was in the pocket."

"Anyway what do you mean by that sensei?" she asked.

"What I said. This guy has helped many people with the problems they have been facing. Most of them are something you will never get to experience in your entire life. So I was thinking to put him in the battle royal."

Battle royal? What does she mean by that? I thought to myself.

"If you don't know then let me tell you. These guys are having a match in who helped the people the most. The winner gets to let the loser do anything they want. Now you are part of it."

"I refuse," I answered immediately. Hikigaya looked at me while moving his hand near his neck telling me to cut it out but I will not. People do not get to tell what I have to do and all of this was meaningless. I am a person who only think rationally and I don't think there is any proper meaning for me to do this. I blankly stare at sensei as she chuckles.

"Well, I cannot force to do it can I?"

Saying that she left the room. Hikigaya walked towards me and said,

"Please make me your student, master. Teach me to do that too."

"What do you mean?"

"I tried getting out of this club so many times but failed and also this match but you denied her instantly and she even agreed to it. Teach me please," he said while bowing down.

I decided to ignore that and went back sitting on my chair to continue reading my book. Looks like nothing big happens in this club. It was a relief. I did not mind joining a club but I did not want to do a lot of work.

The days went on like this and it was start of our summer vacations. I did not know what to do on our summer vacation. I used to lie down the entire day because it was really hot outside. I was watching a show on the television when I heard the bell ring. I opened the door finding Yukinoshita standing in front of me.

"What do you want?" I asked her.

"Sensei called. She said pack you cloths, we are going to Chiba."

"But I don't have a bag for it."

I really did not have one. My clothes were the ones I bought at the store. I did not feel like a need for a bag so I did not. Luckily there was a store in front which sold them so I went there bringing Yukinoshita along. I had not bought them before so I needed someone. She went through every bag while pulling and stretching it. In the end she recommended a blue one which also had more than enough space. Good thing I brought her.

Taking my bag back and packing my cloths I started walking towards the designated location. While walking, we met Yuigahama.

"Yahallo, Ayanon and Yukinon. Why are you together?"

"He lives next door," she replied. Yuigahama looked at me as I nodded. Now all three of us were heading to the same place. Looks like it is some kind of club activity from what I see. I saw Hiratsuka-sensei facing Hikigaya while he was being scolded. Beside him was a little girl.

"Hello guys we're here," shouted Yuigahama.

The girl looked at us and came running and hugged Yukinoshita and Yuigahama. She saw me and smiled,

"So you must be Ayanokouji-san. Thanks for being friends with my brother. I am Hikigaya Komachi. Just call me Komachi."

So she was his sister. I simply nodded and then whispered something in Hikigaya's ear. He looked at her with a stern expression on his face. I was about to ask something from sensei but someone called for Hikigaya,

"Hachiman," he shouted. It was Totsuka Saika. Seeing him Hikigaya had a smile on his face for all the wrong reasons. Well I have to admit he was cute. Wait, what is happening to me? After everyone gathered, sensei announced,

"Now that everyone is here get in the car," she said pointing at her mini-van. I agreed with sitting in the back of the van with all the other bags. I have never sat in a mini-van before so I wanted to sit in the back. Hikigaya was made to sit next to sensei, looks like she loves him a lot. In the middle sat Yuigahama, Komachi and Yukinoshita. Totsuka was sitting with me.

Hikigaya looked at me with a jealous look on his face which I decided to ignore. So this is how my new high school life is going to be. I am kind of enjoying it.

Author's note: I know this update came way too soon but the thing is I won't update anything the entire February due to my finals so I am updating this a little quick. I hope you enjoy it. Also check out zaphkeal. He also wrote a cotexoregairu fanfic which is not a one or two part one. His English is not the best and has a lot of mistakes but the story is quite enjoyable so please check him out to.

The summer camp

The summer holidays were over and it was time for our second semester. Today I came early to the school for some reason. As I entered the class I found no one there so I quietly sat at my chair reading my book. Soon one after other people started entering the room and finally it was bustling with human presence. Hikigaya was in his seat talking to Totsuka while smiling for all the wrong reasons. He is a boy. While there was some time for homeroom to start Miura called out to me,

"Ayanokouji-kun, I heard there is a new transfer student to our class. What do you think about it?"

"What do I think? Does it really matter what I think about this?"

"As blunt as always huh?"

With this they got back to talking to their group while Yuigahama looking at Hikigaya from time to time. Homeroom started as Hiratsuka-sensei entered the classroom and said out loud,

"There is a new transfer student joining our class now. Come in."

With this the door opened and what came to my view was a girl with blonde hair tied up in a pony. She had capturing purple eyes and her pale skin with her slender arms will make her one of the more popular girls in the school. Well, she was one, how do I know this? Because I know this girl. She looked at us and cheerfully introduced herself,

"Hello, everyone. My name is Karuizawa Kei. I hope to get along with all of you."

Right now, I am having so many questions in my mind which were interrupted my Kei's voice. "Ki-yo-ta-ka?" I looked at her with the same expression as always and she smiled and her tears in her eyes. Seeing this everyone looked at me for explanation. I sighed and nodded. Hiratsuka-sensei interrupted this moment of our saying,

"So, you two know each other? Okay so, Ayanokouji, you will show Karuizawa around the school."

I simply nodded when she ran up to me and pounced at me with all her strength hugging me. She did not care we are in front of everyone now. I gently embraced her as I said softly in her ear,

"I am so happy to see you again Kei."

I broke the embrace while she was still crying a little. Hiratsuka-sensei again interrupted this pleasant moment of us by telling Kei where to sit. I had many questions to ask her but what is this warm feeling in my heart? Am I feeling relived? Am I happy? I don't know at the moment. All I knew was that Kei was here in front of me looking at me from time to time. This little exchange between us will surely make me stand out more but I don't care.

Homeroom period was over and the entire class was swarming around me and Kei as she came near my seat. Even Hikigaya was there looking betrayed. We were bombarded by questions and Kei answered all of them. The question which made her stop a little was from Yuigahama,

"What is the relationship between you two?"

"Uh... Ah... Um..."

She looked at me and I quietly nodded. With this new found courage she said while puffing her chest,

"Kiyotaka is my boyfriend."

After this statement there was silence for the next ten seconds when we were bombarded with more question. I could feel glares from all directions from both the genders. I caught Kei's hand and walked out of the class. They did not follow us. Seeing we are alone she hugged me again.

"Did you know how much I missed you?"

"No."

"You should. I am your girlfriend."

She said that puffing her cheeks and honestly it was really cute. Now, getting to the point.

"Kei, why are you here?"

"Are you not happy that I am not here?"

"No, I am happy. I am so happy that I can't even explain it. I got to meet my cute girlfriend again. Why wouldn't I be happy?"

As I said that her, she started blushing like a tomato and I could see smoke coming from her head.

"Ah mou! How can you say that with a straight face?"

"Now will you answer my question?"

"Okay, you know the new deserted island exam?"

I nodded.

"Our team had to drop out of it and as we were the first ones to do it, we were expelled."

How was this possible? I made sure that even if something like this were to happen nothing would have happened to Kei. Leaving all that aside, I had one more question,

"Why did your team drop out?"

"Oh, actually it was raining and we were looking for a good place to take shelter but my foot slipped near a cliff making us fall and not able to walk."

So, it was because of unseen circumstances. Why did she have to be so reckless?

"Anyway, now I can go to the same school as Kiyotaka. I couldn't ask for more."

Saying that she hugged me again but before moving away I felt a soft sensation on my lips for a few seconds. When she moved she looked down blushing really hard.

"T-t-this is just marking my territory. You are mine and no one else's. I am making that clear now."

Her purple eyes were filled with determination and she looked really happy. For some reason I had this warm feeling in my heart as my feet moved unconsciously as I gently embraced her.

"I am so happy I met you Kei."

"Me too, Kiyotaka."

"Ayanokouji-kun" "Ayanokouji-kun" "Ayanokouji-kun" "Ayanokouji-kun"

I woke up. My eyes were met by the figure of Totsuka, Yukinoshita, Yuigahama, Hikigaya, Komachi, Hiratsuka-sensei and Miura and her group. So, I was asleep. To think that the first dream I had in so long would be about Kei. I chuckled to myself a little in my mind.

All of them were looking at me and smiling. Yukinoshita came forward after talking to Yuigahama and asked,

"Ayanokouji-kun, may we know who is "Kei"?"

"Did I say that out loud?"

"Yes, multiple times during the trip."

"Someone I knew. So, Hiratsuka-sensei, why did you bring us all here and what are Miura and Hayama's group doing here?"

Without properly answering their question, I tried to bring the attention away from the topic. To think I was saying her name again and again while I was dreaming. Before answering my question Hiratsuka-sensei showed me a video where I was sleeping peacefully and saying "Kei" every ten seconds. I did not know this was that bad. Also, why did she record this? I deleted the video but realized that it has been sent on a group. I sighed knowing nothing can be done about it now. At least I was not like Sudou. Thinking of that scene still brings goosebumps to me when I was almost attacked by him as he was sleeping thinking about Horikita. If I did that while Totsuka was sitting beside me, no. I don't want to think about it.

"For your question Ayanokouji, we are here for volunteer work. There is a camp for elementary schooler here and you are volunteers who will help this run smoothly. Also, I call them too because this will need more hands and also your group's communication ability is almost non-existent."

Honestly speaking, that was a sound argument by her. I and Hikigaya cannot interact with people a lot. Yukinoshita will just scare the kids. Yuigahama can do it but it is too much for her. Same goes for the other two. We quickly brought our bags from the mini-van and went to our respective lodges. There were already futons there so they have already prepared for all this. Also this will be my first time ever sleeping in a futon. I am honestly a little excited about it.

After keeping our bags in the lodges, we were told to assemble near the stage that was build. We stood up there in a line with Hayama holding the mic. I could see a swarm of little creatures called elementary schooler in front of me. When they all quite down, Hayama stepped forward and said out loud,

"Hello everyone and welcome to this camp. I hope you all enjoy this and if anything happens, feel free to call us. Let's all make good memories out here. Okay?"

"Okay," said the kids in unison.

His social skills were easily at par with Hirata and Kushida. I wonder if that is something that I will be able to do. I heard Hikigaya murmuring to Hiratsuka-sensei why Hayama and his group is here as they do not get along. I just hope that they do not use me as a bridge between them. I had already done it once in the case of Horikita and I did not want to do it again. Thinking back now, the last year has really impacted me a lot. I got to understand more about humans first hand not through some class or simulation in the white room. I made friends, acquaintances, enemies and above all a proper high school like was starting to set way in my life. If I think about it in a philosophical way, my life as always reflected in two colors.

Black and white. Right and wrong. Logical and illogical. I could not experience "youth" which is evil according to Hikigaya's paper. Now, here I am living freely. Escaping the larger bird cage called my old school and living in society. Thinking that, we started our first job for the day. It was simply assisting the kids as they were searching for things on the map.

"Ah, looking at these kids really make me look old," said Tobe. He really just says what is on his mind.

"Stop it, you are making me look like an old woman," said Miura. Looking from the kids' perspective we were old but not "old".

"But when we were in elementary school, high schooler looked really big and scary don't they?" said Totsuka.

"Right, speaking of which, what was your life in elementary school like Ayanon? Were you still the expression less as now?"

"I don't think I told you this but I was home schooled till middle school. I had really strict parents and always made me study or build up my physical abilities. That was basically it," I said which was not wrong if you say white room was my home.

"Heh? So that is why you said your life was like a blank slate?" asked Hikigaya.

"Yes."

"What is with this name "Ayanon"?" asked Muira.

"It's a name Yuighama gave me. I don't mind it honestly."

"So, can I also call you that?"

"Help yourself."

With this everyone started laughing and Yukinoshita was eyeing me for some reason. I slowed down a little and asked her,

"What's wrong?"

"Why do you ask?"

"You are staring at me for a while now."

"I was just admiring the scenery in front of you. I was not eyeing you."

"Okay, if you say so."

I looked forward and my eyes fell on a group of girls which looked like a group but one girl was falling behind. It was more like she was excluded from the group.

"What is that girl doing?" asked Yukinoshita.

"Let me go and check," said Hayama running towards the girl. She had black hair which fell down to her elbows and she held a camera in her hand looking at the ground. Kind of reminds me Airi. The other girls were scared because there was a snake in their path which was non-poisonous. That species does not even bite. Hayama pushed it away and the girls thanked him while the camera girl still looked at the ground. He later approached that girl,

"Hello, what is your name?"

"Tsurumi Rumi."

"Nice to me you. I am Hayama Hayato."

He took her back to the group who were just eyeing Tsurumi. Hikigaya looked with a dumb fold expression like Hayama just broke an unspoken taboo.

"What's wrong Hikigaya?"

"He just asked her name so easily and invited her to the group. That is something you don't do with loners."

"That is only your point of view. It is something which you can never achieve even if you try." Yukinoshita hit him with a hard insult. He was taken back a bit then looked at me. I reassured him even I cannot do such a thing and he gained back his normal attitude. Komachi was whispering something to him while looking at me to which Hikigaya just shrugged her off. Looking at the forest in front really was different from how I first saw a forest. It was not an exam but just a place where we can have fun.

I got a message sometime after I left school that I was correct about my suspicion. The white room enforcer from first year was Amasawa. It's good that I do not have to deal with a troublesome junior here.

Later it was time for us to prepare our meal. We were making curry. Hiratsuka-sensei started the fire easily.

"You are really good at this sensei," I said.

"Back in my college days, I used to barbecue all the time and then the rest of the boys and girls... Leaving that aside, boys prepare the fire and girl cut the vegetable. Ayanokouji, you also cut the vegetables."

"Why am I the only boy who has to do that?"

"Because I told you to. Now get moving already."

She was really pushy. I took the vegetables at my station and started peeling and cutting them. It did not take as long as I expected. While I was doing so, number of kids started gathering around me.

"Oni-chan, oni-chan."

Oni-chan? Who, me? I looked at them as they were all smiling. They all looked really cute. Well, that is due to a particular hormone that is secreted in infants as it is a survival strategy and this hormone's secretion starts to decrease with growing age.

"What is it?" I tried to ask calmly.

"Do you cook your own food?"

"Yes, I used to live on my own so I had to learn to cook food. Why ask?"

"It is because you are cutting them faster than anyone else," said a girl.

I look around seeing that while I was almost done, the rest were not even half way through.

"Which type curry do you like?" asked one boy. The conversation was still on?

"I don't have a particular type. If you ask me, I think one which is a little on the spicier side."

With this most of the kids jumped happily. It looks like they also like that kind of curry. I think I will put a little more effort for them. Talking to them was not at all tiring. It was almost as I it was natural as they were leading the conversation. A child's mind is more imaginative than an adult's so they can talk about whatever they want without a care in the world.

Once I was done, I decided to take a little break. I went and sat under a tree then Hikigaya also joined me. I did not realize until I turned my eyes that Tsurumi was sitting next to me quietly.

"They are all idiots," she said. She sounds a little more mature than her age.

"Who all?" I asked showing a little ignorance.

"Well, most people in this world are idiots," said Hikigaya.

"That includes you too," Yukinoshita joined us.

"Don't underestimate me. I am more intelligent and better than an average human."

"Just for reference. What do particularly mean by an average human," I asked. He looked a little annoyed by it knowing full well that I was just playing with him.

"All I can say is that you are not an average human."

"I agree with that too," said Yukinoshita.

"So, then what am I?"

"A mysterious existence," they said in unison. Why is Tsurumi agreeing with them? She giggled a bit and then asked,

"What is your name?"

"Ayanokouji Kiyotaka. What about you?"

"Tsurumi Rumi."

"I am Yukinoshita Yukino."

"Hikigaya Hachiman."

While we were talking Yuigahama approached us smiling like always.

"Hey, guys what are you talking about?"

"This is Yuigahama Yui," said Yukinoshita.

"Oh, hi. You are Rumi-chan right? Why aren't you with your friends?" she said in her jolly tone.

"Because I am different. You guys are also different from the other," said Tsurumi.

"How are you different?"

"They are just bunch of kids, so I don't hate being alone." This is said by a kid herself. She acts like a grownup and is trying to look more mature than the rest.

"But when you are in elementary school, you have can make many memories with your friends," Yuigahama was still pushing the topic.

"I don't need friends. I can just make new ones in middle school." Does that work like this?

"The same people will be there in middle school. You will continue all this all over again."

"I know that. I have just done some really stupid things," she said.

"What do you mean by that?" asked Yuigahama.

"This isn't the first time they have ignored someone, but it ends quickly and they start talking to them again. Someone always makes a suggestion and everyone just goes with it. I'd gone along too but before I knew it, I was the one being ignored. I didn't do anything wrong either..."

"You say you didn't do anything wrong?" I finally spoke as they all looked at me. I slowly approached Tsurumi and raised my hand and patted her head.

"I know what you are saying. If I hadn't gone with the flow I... I..."

"It does not matter any longer now. You can always start fresh from any point. It will just take a little more effort. It is up to you if you want to do it. Tell me, what do you want Tsurumi?"

Everyone looked at me as Tsurumi was silent for a little while. She looked up at me and gave me the most innocent smile I have ever seen. It was faint but really innocent, something only a child is capable of.

"I want to make amends," she said.

"So, there you have it. Things won't change on their own. You have to change it. No one else can do it. They can help but in the end it all depends on you." I lifted my hand.

"Um... will you help me?" she asked.

"Of course I will. You know I don't have many friends and normally used to be all by myself."

"So, can I be your friend."

"I would love that."

"Count me in too," said Yuigahama.

"What about you Hikki and Yukinon?"

"Oh. Yeah, me too," they both said.

With this Tsurumi smiled at me brightly and then waved and went back to the rest of the children. I was happy for her. This was the first time ever that I had interacted with someone this young. It was really easy and pleasant experience. I can understand why people like kids. They are too innocent and pure at heart. Even though Tsurumi did not want to show that, she was no different.

Yukinoshita walked up to me and standing beside me said,

"It's good that we do not have to compete against you in the "battle royal" Ayanokouji-kun. You get the job done with no problem or consequences whatsoever."

I did not say anything and simply walked away and back to the camp along with Hikigaya. After dinner, we all were meeting Hiratsuka-sensei about what to do next.

"Good job everyone for today. Especially you Ayanokouji," said Hiratsuka-sensei.

"What did I do?"

"Aren't you really modest. I am talking about what you did for Tsurumi. She started interacting with the kids a little more."

Everyone who was not present at that time looked at me with surprised look on their face. I sighed,

"I did not do anything special."

"You say that while doing something I am sure most of you here wouldn't have done. I was not wrong in putting you in the service club."

"Woah, Ayanokouji-san, you did that?" asked Komachi.

"Yes, he did," replied Yukinoshita.

"Also can I call you Kiyotaka-san?" asked Komachi.

"Sure, I don't mind."

"Hey, that's my sister," said Hikigaya.

"Okay, but what did I do?"

Yuigahama leaned near my ear and said,

"Hikki is a siscon."

Oh, so that's what it was about.

"Me too, me too," said Miura and Ebina in unison.

"But still the matter is not settled yet, you know that right?" asked Hiratsuka-sensei to which I nodded. It won't be setteled until she makes up with her group that is what needs to happen but this was as far as we can do. Now it all depends on them.

"There is nothing more for us left to do."

"Huh, but why? Shouldn't we help them with reconciling?" asked Miura.

"I agree with Ayanokouji-kun. He did what he could do, now it all depends on them if they change due to it," said Yukinoshita.

"What is that supposed to mean? You're making no sense."

"Oh my, do I have to explain even that to that simple brain of yours?"

"Okay enough. You all did a great job today. Go back to your room, you are going to have a long day tomorrow," said Hiratsuka-sensei.

With this we went back to our lodging. Before sleeping the guys were talking about some stuff which I was not aware of so I just kept nodding my head. Hikigaya was reluctant to join but as soon as Totsuka pleaded him with puppy dog eyes he agreed in no time. So this is the power which Totsuka hold?

Later that night, I couldn't sleep in the futons as it was my first time ever. Having nothing better to do I went out for a stroll. I never had a chance to notice but the full moon in the night sky in a forest is really beautiful and amidst that view my eyes caught another existence sitting under a tree. Her long black hair were swaying as the wind blew as she calmly sat there with a care free look on her face. If she just sat there not moving, se could have been easily mistaken for a beautiful doll. The doll moved and flinched a bit seeing me. I came out of the shadows and seeing my face, her expression loosened a bit.

"Oh, its just you Ayanokouji-kun. What are you doing up so late at night?" the doll asked.

"I could not sleep so was thinking of taking a stroll and was mesmerized by the view I saw. What about you Yukinoshita?"

"I had a fight with Miura and the others and she is crying in the cabin so I came out. It was really irritating."

"I see." Saying that I looked at the full moon that has come out of its hiding and shining with pride which just reflecting the light of the sun. "It really is beautiful," I said to myself but I was loud enough to let my neighbor hear.

"Is it your first time seeing the full moon?" she asked.

"No, but it is the first time I noticed just how beautiful it looks in a calm and quite forest. I feel like I can sleep better here."

"Don't do that, you will catch a cold."

With that I sat next to her which she did not refuse. I looked at the big white moon in the sky. Even though it looks big from here but if we go near it, it really is massive. I did something weird like trying to catch hold of the moon by extending my arm and closing it in a fist. Yukinoshita looked at me doing it with an amused face.

"What are you? An eight-year-old?" she asked.

"Maybe."

"Ayanokouji-kun," she called out to me as I turned facing her looking in her blue eyes.

"I was thinking about your issue for a long time and I found out that before tending to it. I need to know about you more."

"Hmm."

"So, tell me what do you want to do?"

"All I ever wanted was freedom and I finally got it."

"Freedom? From what?"

"Yukinoshita. You know you remind me of the first friend I ever made. She was almost a copy of you."

"Is it? In which way?"

"She had long black hair which she cut later by the way. The icy eyes, a glare which can easily kill people, a calm and cool beauty I can say and speaks out her mind without any problem. The only difference between you two is your ch- ahem I mean, she was really violent."

"And by that you mean?"

"She used to karate chop me in the guts if I said something she disliked or if I was unlucky enough, stab me with a compass. All you did was slightly hit my head."

"Well, what she did was not a bad way to do things, maybe I should also do those."

"Please don't. Also she was following her brother's shadow. You give off a similar persona. Who are you chasing?" I finally asked her. She looked at me with widened eyes making me sure that I was right on the marks. She looked up at the moon before answering.

"I want to do the same thing my mother is doing, but since I am the younger sister, my older sister is the one who is doing that."

"So, did you give up?"

"Of course not. I am working hard on it. Even if I have to do it alone, I will do it."

"You both really are similar."

"What?"

"Even she said she could do it all on her own. She felt no need to make friends. You don't have many friends which means you were alone not by choice. Look at your life Yukinoshita, you have people you can rely on. People who are willing to do anything for you. People who are willing to lend a helping hand to your cause. Are you not able to notice it?"

"I..."

"Don't try doing things on your own. Relying on someone does not make you weak. Even the strong leaders rely on someone. Even the strongest of the person need a support. I know I am in no place to say anything but remember, you are not alone Yukinoshita."

"So you are saying even you will help me?" she said.

"If you need my help, sure. You know where to find me. Just knock on the door to you right."

She laughed a bit and thanked me before parting she said,

"Who knew we are being helped by a person we were supposed to help."

I walked away from there as I was now really sleepy. I am helping people huh? I think I have changed a little bit.

The next morning I woke up with Totsuka's voice. It was a sweet voice but the words...

"Hachiman. Hachiman."

I have no idea what kind of dream he is seeing making him say that with the look. Hikigaya may just nosebleed from that. I found out I was the first one to wake up. I checked the time which was 7:00 in the morning. No matter how late I sleep, I always wake up at this time. I picked up my futon and folded it then went to freshen up. After that I went to the café to see what is going on there. After some time the rest joined me.

While having breakfast, Hiratsuka-sensei announced,

"We will be having a camp fire today and also a test of courage. Any question?"

I raised my hand and she told me to speak.

"What is a test of courage?" I asked as they all burst out laughing. I have read about it somewhere but I was not really sure about what we do in it. Hiratsuka-sensei told me everything I needed to know and also telling not to wear any costume as my dead eyes sufficed. I know that is true but that hurts.

I was deep in my thought when Totsuka poked my shoulder calling me and whispering in my ear,

"Ayanokouji-kun, who will you invite for the camp fire dance?"

"Why do I need to invite someone?"

"You seriously don't know?!!!" shouted Yuigahama at the top of her lungs who was eavesdropping in our conversation. Then after a ten-minute-long lecture from Yuigahama I was set free.

We were cutting the wood for the camp fire as I saw Rumi approach her group. They started talking to each other with Rumi smiling and the other girls just feeling sadder as the seconds passed by. In the end they all broke out crying while hugging Rumi. She noticed me and waved. I also nodded at her. The entire group came towards me.

"Ayanokouji-nii san. Thank you," said Rumi.

"Why thank me?"

"Rumi said that it was because of you that she was able to come back to us. Even though we were treating her really bad but the thought of loosing a friend due to our behavior really felt wrong. We would all like to thank you and also we are really sorry Rumi," said the girl with brown hair.

"Its good that you are all arr together. Now step back or you guys might get hurt," I said as they went back and joined the other kids.

"So it all worked in the end," said Hikigaya wiping sweat off his temple.

"Looks like it."

"Hey, I am heading to the river. You want to join?" asked Hikigaya.

"Sure."

We walked towards the river as it was really pleasant hearing its sound. It made me realize one thing that on how much have I missed out on in my life. We went closer when we saw Komachi and Yuigahama in swimsuits. Seeing us, Komachi waved and ran towards us.

"Oni-chan, Kiyotaka-san. Hello," she said.

"Why are you in swimsuits?" asked Hikigaya.

"Oh, Hiratsuka-sensei said since we were done for the day, we could play in the river so here we are. How do I look?" asked Komachi while posing.

"You look really cute. The cutest," said Hikigaya with a smile.

"Ugh, oni-chan that is gross. Anyway what about Yui-san."

She pulled Yuigahama in front of her showing her swimsuit. Hikigaya said its good and averted his eyes but they seem to been drawing back to Yuigahama. He ran near the river and started splashing water on his face while saying something. I couldn't really make out what he was saying, I just only heard.

"Is this the law of boobitation." Which made no sense. We heard someone approaching us and looked around to behold a sight which will make most boys in the world nose bleed. Yukinoshita entered the scene wearing her swimsuit which I am not going to lie, looked really good on her. I then simply looked the other way as Hiratsuka-sensei entered.

"So you came Hikigaya and Ayanokouji."

"Good job sensei, no one will say that you look like more than thirt-" she punched Hikigaya in the guts.

"I am almost thirty years old," she said with an annoyed face.

I walked forward finding Muira, Ebina and Hayama in their swimsuits too. The called me,

"Hey Ayanokouji. Come swim with us."

"I did not bring my swimsuit." Actually I did not own one.

"No problem." Tobe sneaked behind me and took of my t-shirt which I don't know how he was able to do. Once it came flying down, I felt all of them staring at me while all the girls there had tint red on their cheeks.

"What's wrong?" I asked.

"Wow man. You are ripped. How did you get those eight packs?" asked Tobe.

"Good genes, I guess."

"I doubt that," said Hayama.

"Ayanokouji-kun, did you play some sport before this? Or learnt martial arts?" asked Yukinoshita.

"No, I only learnt piano and calligraphy."

"That doesn't make any sense."

"Even your beauty doesn't."

With this she started blushing a little more while Hayama whispered to me,

"That was smooth man."

We swam in the river for some time and played a little then I went back to change my cloths. The test of courage did not scare the kids. They only screamed when they saw me staring at them from the shadows and ran off except for Rumi who waved at me. Why did I agree to this?

It was time for the camp fire dance as the kids gathered around and dancing. I was standing next to Hiratsuka-sensei as she sighed,

"Brings back the old days when I was still alone."

"Wait, you are single?"

"Is that a surprise?"

"No, I am just thinking how bad is the taste of women in all the men you met. You are beautiful, strong, cheerful sometimes, lively and from what I see. You are very caring too."

"T-t-t-thank y-y-y-y-you," she said while blushing.

"You really are a womanizer aren't you Ayanokouji?"

"If speaking the truth makes me that, then maybe."

"Even if you say that, I was never asked by anyone."

I walked in front of her facing her and offered my hand.

"May I have a dance with you young lady?" I said.

"What is this all so sudden?"

"Are you not happy with it?"

"Of course I am."

She took my hand as we went in near the camp fire and started dancing. She say that she is never been asked but she is really good at it. After that I was elbowed by everyone for my "bold move" as Yukinoshita looked from a distance with an amusing smile on her face.

The next day, we came back to Chiba. It feels good to be back I think. We were about to head back as a black limo stopped in front of us. Out of that limo came a woman who resembled Yukinoshita a lot but by the look of it, she was too young to be her mother. So she was her older sister.

"Yahoo, Shizuka-chan," she greeted Hiratsuka-sensei.

"I told you to not call me that."

"What is the harm. Yahoo Hikigaya-kun and Yukino."

"Yo," said Hikigaya as she got really closed to her.

She then looked at me and started inspecting me from top to bottom like a police officer.

"And who is this handsome man?"

"Ayanokouji Kiyotaka. Pleasure to meet you."

"I am Yukino's elder sister Yukinoshita Haruno. Wait you said you are Ayanokouji?"

Before I could answer, another black limo which looked even more expensive stopped in front of us. The person who came out was a black-haired woman with business outfit. She had a kind smile on her face and she was really good looking. She waved a Hiratsuka-sensei.

"How have you been Shizuka-san," she said.

"Sensei, you final came back." Was she her teacher? She scanned everyone until her eyes fell on me. Her smile widened as she looked at me and started running towards and jumped and hugged me. I could have dodged it but she was wearing heels so her foot might hurt if she missed. She tightly embraced me as I felt tears coming out of her eyes.

"I am so glad I could finally see you Kiyotaka," she said in a soft voice.

"I am sorry but who are you?"

"Oh yes, you obviously don't remember me. My name is Ayanokouji Asuna, your mother."

Author's note- We are going to stop right there. Hello to everyone who as waiting for this fanfic to update, so here it is. I hope you have enjoyed this chapter as this one was the longest I have written yet. Those who were Kei deficient, here was a Kiyokei moment and those who were Shizuka shipper, well... I gave you a dance. I know I would not update in February but I just could not stop myself so it came earlier. I hope you like it also.

Since I came after so long on this fanfic, you can ask me anything. Idk why I am doing it but please do.

The family I never knew I had

"WHAT!!" shouted everyone while I had my normal poker face on. I, for the first time had no idea of what was even going on.

"I thought so. So, you really are her son," said the elder Yukinoshita while nodding her head. The woman who proclaimed herself as my mother had not let go of me till now and I could still feel her crying. Everyone was confused by this development.

"I am sorry but I really don't know you," I said.

"Ayanokouji. Believe it or not, this woman is you mother," said Hiratsuka-sensei.

"Um... can I ask something?" said Yuigahama.

"Yes dear. What is it?"

"Why did Ayanokouji-kun say that he does not know who and you also complied with it?"

"About that. When Kiyotaka was 10 days old, I and his father got in a dispute and separated and he was the one who took Kiyotaka with him so it is only natural that he does not remember me. Now Kiyotaka. Let's go to the apartment where you are staying and I will explain everything to you."

For some reason I felt that she was not lying. I don't know what is it? A gut feeling or something? If she really is my mother then there are so many questions that need to be answered. She dragged me along with her and I did not show any resistance. I sat in the limo next to her as she was still hugging me. It has become difficult to breath now. She told the driver to go to my apartment.

As we arrived there, she opened the door as she had a spare key with her. I was told to sit on the couch when she went in the kitchen to make some coffee. All this made one thing clear. She knows a lot about me. More than I think. Coming back with the two mugs of coffee in her hand, she handed me one and sat next to me as I started drinking the black beverage. Once we were done, she finally spoke.

"You still think I am not your mother, right?" I nodded. She sighed as she took out a tablet. It had a DNA test on it. How did she even get hold of this information? The test did show that she really was my mother. Once I confirmed it, she opened her arms telling me to get in for a hug but I did not do that. She pouted a little and then video called a certain someone. After a few rings the person on the other side picked up. What was weird was that his voice was not cold at all when addressing to her. He had a soft, kind tone and was he smiling?

"Hi honey," she said.

"Oh, Asuna. To what do I hold this pleasure to talk to my lovely wife," that man said. I could not believe my ears. The way he spoke was completely different from what I had heard before and he also had a kind smile on his face.

"Look who is with me," she said then pulling me in front of the camera. Seeing me his expression stiffened a bit. He said in his usual cold voice and the piercing gaze.

"Kiyotaka. Have you been following the order?" he said.

"Honey~ I think its time that you drop the façade. I think Kiyotaka really needs to know the truth now," she said. What are they even talking about? I saw his face loosening a bit and then...

Tears started forming into his eyes as he broke crying. Seriously, for the first time. What is going on? He did not stop crying, he was saying the words, "I am sorry" again and again. I looked at towards my mother as she had a kind smile on her face as tears were also welling in her eyes.

"I am so sorry Kiyotaka. For all that I have done to you," he said as his crying become less.

"What do you mean?" I tried playing dumb because I knew full well what he was talking about.

"I am so sorry that I had put you in the white room. I don't know what had come over me to take that decision which I have been regretting my entire life. I could not get you out because the rule was a subject cannot leave the white room unless they fail or break down completely. I tried multiple times to get you out but I just couldn't. Me being the person I was did not want you to see this side of me so I put up this façade of a strict, commanding father."

He again started bawling his eyes. He cried so much till now that I could see his eyes getting red but I did not feel anything. No emotions towards the man's pitiful state. I just looked at him with blank eyes.

"I thought that if I could somehow get you to fail in the white room, I could get you back here. That is why I raised the training of the fourth generation by a lot so that you would fail and come back to us. The time I showed you all the failures, I expected you to plead to me to get you out of here. Forget plead, if you even said, "I don't want to be here" once, I would have gotten you out but you didn't. Instead, you let go of your emotions. You became an empty shell whose only goal was to survive. When your training was done, I purposely shut down the white room to get you out of here but who knew Matsuo would do such a thing. I wasn't furious that he disobeyed his employer but I was furious that he made me lose the one chance I had to save you."

I felt a soft hand on my shoulder as the woman embraced me once again while that man continued to explain.

"I wanted you to come back to us and not to the white room. Sakanayagi didn't know about this situation and I never thought of telling him about all this so even at your school I had to tell you to come back to the white room. You thought that I never saw you as my son and you were right. You were not only my son; you are my everything Kiyotaka. Did you seriously believe that a father could so such a thing to his own child? I may be heartless or ruthless but there is also a limit to it. Again, I hope that you forgive me. Its okay if you hate me because of all the things I did to you but please accept this selfish request of a father."

Once he stopped explaining, everything made sense now. I sighed and spoke,

"Father."

For the first time in so long I called him that. I could see the surprise on his face properly. His eyes which were wet are now sparkling.

"I never resented you or the white room. If it was not for the white room, I wouldn't have been what I am. This me is the me which I do not resent. I forgive you," I said to him. Listening to me, his eyes were again filled with tears as he started crying again.

"Thank you. Thank you so much Kiyotaka," he said. Then he cut the call telling he still has work to take care off. I leaned back on the couch feeling a little exhausted from this conversation. Who knew that I actually had a family who cared about me?

"Kiyotaka. You don't want to know more about mommy?" she said.

"I think there is no harm in that"

"Okay, so mommy here is one of the most influential people in japan. Also, I was from Chiba so I decided to live here while your father works in the white room. He does come home whenever he had the time to do so. I have one of the highest IQ in the world and I am not joking. As for you father, he was cunning but was really outstanding in physical aspects."

Now that is interesting. The whole goal of the white room was to make geniuses by giving them the proper education where genes do not matter and their masterpiece had such genes. Looks like white room still cannot get the results it wanted.

"Oh my, look at the time. Kiyotaka, mommy needs to go for some work so I will be leaving. Also, soon I will be living with you here so better be prepared for it."

With that she left. When she did leave, I went and lie on the bed. So, I actually have a proper family? That was one of the things that I wanted when I was young. I always used to cry thinking what I had ever done to suffer like this. My only goal was to live a normal life with a loving family. Looks like it will be fulfilled from now on.

Author's note- I know, the chapter was really short but I had to explain everything in this one and did not have any other ideas of what to write. I promise the next chapter will be long so I hope you don't mind this. Also, what do you think about this chapter? Please tell me because this one was a really big gamble so I want to know if I won this or lost this one.

I still haven't changed

She was gone and I was all alone in my room. After all that happened today, I could finally get what I wanted. I got to know that I had a loving family but I do not care about that one bit. I felt no empathy for that man, no sign of a pain in my heart as people say. I did not feel any affection to the woman who called herself my mother. I do not care about them at all. When the man was emotionally weak and breaking down in front of me, I made sure that my freedom is now guaranteed. I am no longer abided by his order, no longer have to go back to the white room and do what I want.

This was perfect. I got what I wanted and I also got powerful allies on my side now there is no way I am going to lose, there never was a way for me to. The day I decided to abandon my emotion was the day I stopped loosing. The only reason I am trying to learn them back is pure curiosity. Will having my emotions back really make me weak? I knew I was emotionally the weakest in the fourth generation. When I let go of them, I became the best in my generation and called the god of the white room. So I wonder what will happen to this "god" when he gets his emotions back.

Lying on my bed, I decided to sleep as I was not hungry but still ate something already as it was not a good thing to sleep without having dinner.

After that the days as if flew by. I did not have anything planned to do so I was just roaming around exploring Chiba. I once got into a fight with some delinquents which I tried not to get physical but had to when they pulled out their knives. The woman used to come meet me once every week. She used to talk about how hard it was for her.

"I always looked at you from the one-sided glass. It was as if you were just in my reach but also too far away at the same time. I saw the videos of you laughing happily, helping other and I was so happy. When I saw you cry when your training started, sad is not even enough to explain how I felt. I felt like killing myself for agreeing to keep you in that place."

This was all that she used to tell me. Also some questions here and there,

"How was your school life in your older school?"

"I did enjoy it."

"Did you make friends?"

"Yes, I also had a group called the Ayanokouji group."

"Oh wow. My boy was really famous in school. Now the main question. Serious one," she said as her face had a serious expression on her face.

"Did you make a girlfriend?"

That is supposed to be a serious question? Then I told her about Kei. From how beautiful she was and how fun it was to tease her to how I blackmailed her when we first had a proper conversation. Looking me talk intently about her gave her a kind smile. She really loved talking to me and this was the longest I talked to her about something. She was a little disappointed that we hadn't kissed yet. She looked at me with a look which said, "Grow up son" even though most of the time I was the one acting as a grown up.

Today was the last day of summer and I decided to stay at home. Then my second semester will start in my new school. Who knows what all new things would happen to me. During the afternoon, my phone vibrated. I checked it to see a message from that woman. She sent me some VIP passes to watching a firework show along with the location. I got some extra passes to invite my friend. A fireworks show? I did not decide to do anything so I guess I might as well just go.

In the evening, I wore some better cloths than I normally did in my house. I don't know why but I had made this strange habit of being shirtless most of the time. It feel really good. After getting in my clothes, I closed the door behind me and locked it. As soon as I did I heard the door beside me unlock. I looked over to see the black-haired doll with blue eyes staring at me. She looked really tired. If I remembered, she was also called by her mother. I nodded my head in greeting and started walking but I was soon stopped.

"May I know where you are going?" she asked.

"Are you planning to accompany me?"

"Just curious."

"I am planning on going to the firework show."

"Is that so?"

I nodded and started walking but then she called me again.

"And here I thought you would invite me."

"Why would I?"

"Isn't it obvious for a boy to invite a beautiful girl out if he is going to a fireworks show?"

"I don't know. Never have been to one. Also you need to go home and rest. You look really tired right now. You need rest more. I will get you some cotton candy."

"I am not a kid you know."

"You are not an adult either."

With that I finally walked away before she could say something. She looked really tired and should not use her energy in a conversation like that. I did not say anything in the first place because that what I wanted her to do. People outside of AHNS are a little different. I don't hate this new different. It is more relaxing as I do not have to worry about special exams or getting expelled and losing my freedom or food traps.

I took the metro to the destination and then it was a really short walk. As I reached the place, there was some kind of festival going on and there were many shops lined up. There was a different feel to it. The people looked livelier. The place was bustling with human presence that if you get lost then it is really hard to find the person. Also the smell from the shops were intoxicating. There was a stall making Yakisoba. Other was making Takoyaki. There was cotton candy stall where I will go later and I also a stall with different mask from which I did buy one. It was a little weird looking but I still decided to buy it. It was a red colored man with his mouth protruding outwards towards the left.

While checking the time, there was still some time for fireworks. I did come two hours early as I was curious about this festival which was going on. While moving among the crowd of people laughing and talking to each other. There was one peculiar sound which did not felt like it was supposed to belong there. I heard a child crying. As my eyes followed the source of the sound, I found myself looking at a little girl with blue hair crying as she was standing amidst the big crowd. The people paid no heed to her but some looked at her for some minutes and then went their own way.

I thought of doing the same but I then noticed a man in his 40s approaching the girl with a creepy smile on his face. Even though I did not have much experience in the society, I knew that man had some malicious intents. I quickly moved and stood in front of the girl and then glared at the man with some bloodlust. Seeing that, he flinched and retreated his steps. Now that that is taken care of. What will I do about the little creature staring at me with her cute eyes?

Guess there is no other way,

"What happened?" I asked the sobbing girl.

"Onee-chan. Onee-chan."

"Did you get separated from your sister?" I asked in a monotone voice. I tried sounding a bit concerned but failed miserably but still the kid nodded.

"Do you want me to help you to find her?"

"Yes."

"Okay, let's do that."

"Thank you oni-chan," she said with the most angelic smile I had ever seen. Also being called "Oni-chan" by her made me feel good.

"What is your name?", I asked.

"Kawasaki Keika."

"Nice to meet you Kawasaki. My name is Ayanokouji Kiyotaka."

"Oh. That is a nice name Kiyotaka-niichan."

She used my first name just like this. Not that I mind. I looked at her left leg and saw it was bleeding a little. I did not have any first aid at hand so I dipped my handkerchief in water and tied it. She still had some problems walking so I offered her to get on my back which she did.

"Wow Kiyotaka-niichan, you are really strong."

"You are just really light. So let's go and find your sister."

"Okay. Also that is a weird mask."

"I know but I bought it anyway," I replied as I started walking with her on my back. We looked around for her sister but still could not find her. In such a situation, the person looking for the lost one would panic first and start running around. If not there should have been an announcement till now which did not work. I need to find her based on her appearance.

"Kawasaki, how does your sister look?"

"Onee-chan? She is strong, beautiful, well-mannered and very caring. She does act like a tomboy sometimes."

Only one of them had something to do with her appearance and if you think of a beautiful girl then there are so many in this world. I could name some off the tongue right here. I think I need to see it on my own. She had blue hair which did not look dyed at all. Since blue being a very rare hair color, it is hard to find this color so if I go by genes, one or both of the parents will have blue hair as their natural hair but then again since it is rare, it means that there is a very small chance that she would have it. So for now, if I find blue hair same as her I can think that she would be her little sister. If not, then this would take longer than I think.

We looked around until her stomach growled.

"You hungry?"

"But I want to find onee-chan first."

"If you are trying to find her with that stomach, it will much harder as you will not be able to concentrate. Then it will mean you will be away from your sister for longer. Do you want that?"

"No."

"So, what will you eat?"

"Takoyaki."

With that we arrived at a takoyaki stall as she chose to buy six pieces of takoyaki. It smelled really good. We got ourselves a bench to sit on as she joined her hands and started eating.

"Itadakimasu."

She started eating like a cute little squirrel. While she was doing it, my eyes were looking for blue hairs. I then felt my sleeve being tugged my someone. Kawasaki had a takoyaki in her hand as she looked at me.

"Kiyotaka-niichan, you also eat."

"No I am good."

"No. eat it. Eat it. Eat it. Eat it."

"Haa. Okay."

I took the toothpick from her as I gobbled the octopus down my throat. It was really good. I never had takoyaki in my life before as it was not in AHNS. After that was done, I picked her up again as the search continued. During this she also bought cotton candy. Now she was eating it with some maybe in my hair. She offered it too which I could not deny. She was really assertive. As I had some in my mind, it started getting smaller and smaller as my mouth moved leaving being a little crystal-like sugar in my mouth. Well, that it what it is made with so it shrinks when moist.

Then I found a blue pony tail hopping around at great speed. It looked like Kawasaki's hair. A little too much which made me confirm my suspicion. She was her sister. Kawasaki also noticed her as she started calling her out.

"Onee-chan. Onee-chan. Onee-chan."

She saw us and started running in our direction knocking a poor guy in the process. His friends were either laughing at him and some were cursing her. why not help that poor guy first? I let Kawasaki down as she started running towards her as they hugged each other. Both were crying, not only the elder Kawasaki was doing so while the little one was just smiling. I thought of leaving them with other as an outsider had nothing to do with me. As I was turning around, I felt someone tugging my sleeve. Kawasaki was smiling as she said,

"Thank you Kiyotaka-niichan."

"Yes, thanks a lot, wait Ayanokouji?" she said with a surprised look on her face.

"Yes, who might you be?" I did know her but don't know her name. She was in my class. I did see her looking out in of the window.

"Oh, I never introduced myself before I am Kawasaki Saki. I am from your class," she said while scratching her head from behind.

"Oh so he is that Ayanokouji who you said was so ho-" Kawasaki covered her mouth with her hand while laughing weirdly. I wonder what she was about to say.

"Nothing, nothing. But still Ayanokouji, thanks for helping Keika out," she said while bowing down.

"It's okay. So then, I will be taking my leave now."

As I was about to leave the younger Kawasaki called me,

"Kiyotaka-niichan."

"What is it Kawasaki?"

"Huh? I did not say anything. It was Keika."

"I meant her."

"Kiyotaka-niichan, call me Keika so then onee-chan won't be confused anymore."

"Okay then Keika, what is it?"

"Join us for the fireworks show please."

"Huh? K-K-Keika, we shouldn't bother Ayanokouji like this."

"It's okay."

"Huh?"

"Moreover, I have some VIP passes so would you like to join, it will start really soon too."

With that, I along with the Kawasaki sisters, head for the spots. The people there first stopped me but when I showed them the passes, they stepped back and bowed down and apologized. Looked like that woman has a lot of power here. They even got us the best seat to view it. Well, according to them. Keika was jumping in her seat and the elder Kawasaki was holding her down. Then she sat down between me and the elder Kawasaki. She was moving her legs back and forth while humming some tune then it started.

I heard a big exploding sound as the night sky illuminated with the moon light was now no longer just black and little white near the moon. Now it was filled with different colors of patterns. For the first time, explosions sounded really pleasing to the ears. When I looked over to my company, the younger one was looking at the sky with a wide-open mouth and wide eyes. The elder one also had a similar expression. They were genuinely enjoying the show and I decided to do the same. The sky looked beautiful as fireworks exploded one after other painted the night sky. It was as if a painter was splashing his paints in the sky but made a masterpiece which people now call modern art.

After half and hour, the last explosion which was bigger than any other ended the show. Seeing that, Keika started clapping her hands and Kawasaki was smiling like a little kid. At this stage, both of them looked of the same age. We started heading back and as I was about to separate from them Keika again called me out. Now I am not even surprised,

"Kiyotaka-niichan, thank you for today."

"It's fine. There is no need tot thank me. If anyone else was in my position they would have done the same."

"No, I really want to thank you for helping Keika," said Kawasaki while bowing her head.

"Kiyotaka-niichan, will you come play with me?"

"Where?"

"Our house," she said with a smile while Kawasaki looked at her while she was blushing really hard.

"Also, marry my onee-chan."

"Heeeh? K-K-K-Keika, what are you saying?"

"But if you do then Kiyotaka-niichan will always come play with me."

"No need for that, I will come anyway. Kawasaki, here is my number and mail address call me when she wants me to play."

"O-O-Okay."

With that I walked back home finally. I noticed Hikigaya and Yuigahama along with the elder. It looked like they came on a date which obviously Komachi set up. Both of them did not have the guts to call the other out for a date so I decided to not disturb them. As I was going up the elevator I remembered something. I did not get Yukinoshita cotton candy. Not that she will say anything to me. The elevator door opened and I stepped out. As I was walking, I stopped in my tracks. Oh no.

"Where is the cotton candy?"

"I gave it to a little girl."

"Is that so? Or you forgot to buy it."

"I did not forget, here."

I said that giving her the cotton candy. How did I get this one? I just remembered I bought one for myself but then did not eat it and had it with me ever since. It did not look stale so there is no problem

"Y-Y-You actually brought cotton candy? I am not a kid you know?"

"You first ask for some and then deny it? You are really a weird one. I don't hate it."

She started blushing and fixed her hair. Then she coughed twice before saying something but before she could do that I said,

"I remember telling you to rest. You had a talk with your mother didn't you? I would have given you the cotton candy even then. Or were you waiting for it?"

"I-I-It's not that, I had some rest so and then felt like walking out in the hallway. Got a problem with that?"

"You coming?"

"Huh?"

Without her realizing, she entered my apartment and was standing near the entrance with the door closed behind her. I grabbed her hand and dragged her in. She did not resist at all and sat on the couch silently. I went in and got her some juice because I was a little lazy to make something.

"You know juice is little unhealthy."

"A little in a while does not hurt much. You can join me on my morning jogs if you want to."

"When do you do that?"

"6:30 AM till 7:30 AM. Why? Are you seriously considering that option?"

"N-n-no."

"Okay, now tell me what you talked to about."

"Why do I have to tell you?"

"No reason."

"Then I won't."

"Okay, then I won't let you leave at all."

"What will you do with me?"

"I live alone and only you and I are here in my apartment. I know that all the walls are sound proof and we are on the top floor. The door is locked and I have the keys with me. There is no way for you to get out."

She flinched and retreated back a little on the couch. Maybe I said a little too much to her.

"Now you are making me fear for my life."

"Don't worry I won't do anything to you that will put me in jail for even a second. What you are thinking will not happen at all. I am a boy but I am not a sex predator."

Listening to me she relaxed a little. Looks like she believed my words. Knowing that I will be stubborn, she sighed and said,

"You really know how to get what you desire don't you? A question first, did you ever have a girlfriend before?"

"Yes."

"Can you tell me what it's like? What you felt?"

"I proposed to her because I was curious about love and I was sure that she already loved me for long."

"So you did not feel any affection to her?"

"No, but I did try learning about love. What it's like to fall in love? What is it like to treasure someone?"

"And what did you find?"

"I did not feel anything but I felt like I was getting closer to it. So why ask this question?"

"I had a long talk with my mother and then she asked me something unexpected. She asked me, "Did any boy catch your eye?"."

"Then you said Hikigaya's name."

"No. I did not say anything at all. At that instant."

"So then Hayama?"

"No."

"Who else is even left?"

I tried playing dumb. I already knew what she said but I tried teasing her a bit. It worked a little too well as she was burning bright red at the moment. Now this is what really was amusing.

"Y-Y-Your name."

"That's nice. Looks like I have gotten the attention of the ice queen. It was an honor your majesty," I said while bowing my head down and she tensed up more.

"Stop it already," she said while throwing a pillow at my face which I did not bother dodging at all as it hit my face. She was a mess right now while holding another pillow close to her chest.

"By the way, the door was never locked. I would have let you go if you wanted to."

"Huh? But you sa-"

"That is what I did not say and you took it to face value? Listen to this Yukinoshita, I am not someone you can trust so easily, if it cause some unnecessary problem to me which will be hindering my goal, I won't mind getting rid of you without a second thought. I think you understand when I showed you my eyes. Don't you?"

She quietly nodded and then I sighed.

"Listen Yukinoshita, this world is cruel and even darker than you can imagine. Why are you trying to follow someone's shadow if you can do so much more on your own. You know you are a gifted person but you don't know the extent of your abilities yet."

"Why tell me this?"

"Who know? Maybe I am trying to teach you something Yukinoshita. My goals are already fulfilled and I did not have anything else to do so I think I will help you from now on."

"And what about that request of yours?"

"Don't worry, spending time with you will be more than enough for me to feel emotions and become human. You know why?"

She shook her head.

"Because you Yukinoshita, are the perfect option for me."

I whispered that in her ear. She did not realize that I was getting closer and closer to her by the second. Right now my mouth was right near her ear so I decided to tease her more and blew in her ear.

"EEEE," she said as she shivered up.

"What I told you before about myself was true but I can assure you one thing Yukinoshita, you can trust me."

"And how will I know that?"

"It is up to you because I know I can trust you. I never told this much about myself to anyone. Not even my former girlfriend."

"And how will I know you are not lying?"

"For that."

I held her hand as she flustered and started blushing really hard. I think opened up her palm and placed it on my head.

"You can bonk my head again if I broke your trust. It does not matter how hard you hit. It won't hurt too much."

With that, Yukinoshita left the apartment, I know what she was thinking. After all that happened to me after leaving the white room, my one year in ANHS, being romantically loved by Kei, being loved as a son by my parents and now gaining trust of people in this new place. Even after all this I...

Have not changed at all.

Author note- Hey guys, I hope you liked this new chapter. I did promise to make it long which I did and also added the tom boy tsundere Saki for all the Saki lovers and that is right, even she will have a lot more screen time. I really like her as a character. She is very enjoyable to watch and write and tsundere tomboys blushing is one of the cutest things I see. So,MonikAndIbukiSimp if she would have been more like Saki, maybe I won't mind remembering her name. Jane. (Also I feel like this note will have a long thread of comments from only two people).

Start of the second semester

Today was the start of the second semester in my new high school and I think I should be excited. I woke up, did my workout and went for a jog. Surprisingly, I saw long black hair in a ponytail flowing in front of my eyes. She actually came? I did not expect that. I would be jogging for some more time but she looked like she was out of breath.

"I think that is enough for you Yukinoshita. Go and take a break. I don't think you should overdo yourself."

She did not listen to me and continued running. Soon her legs became weaker and I could see her breathing heavily. She was about to fall when I held her shoulder.

"Told you," I said.

"Haah, haah, haah. Don't tell me you are going to run more," she said while panting grasping for oxygen.

"I still have thirty minutes left. I am surprised you could stay in pace with me for that long."

"Who do you think I am?"

"Yukinoshita Yukino, the ice queen."

She kept panting as I told her to go and sit down. By the look in her eyes, I could tell she does not wake up so early. Why on earth did she even wake up early for a jog? I was just kidding at that time. After thirty minutes of sprinting at my "full" speed, I came back to where Yukinoshita was as she was still exhausted and was drinking her sports drink. I sat beside her and chugged down my drink too.

"You are inhumanly fast," she said.

"No, I think I am average."

"No average person can run that fast," she said showing me a video of me running. When did she even take it? I did not mind honestly so I did not ask at all as she put her phone back. I stood up and told her to go back if she does not want to be late for school.

I went back to my apartment and took a shower. Getting in my cloths, I made myself some breakfast and walked out of the apartment. I locked the door and looked seeing Yukinoshita doing the same. I said that coincidences can be freaky but this is freakier than my freaky coincidence. Though I know that is what she wants me to think so I will play along with her for now. We went to the elevator and got out at the same time, then we went to school together. It was the first time I have gone to school like this with someone known. She would strike up conversation trying to get to know me better so she can help with my case.

"Your case is really complicated you know. I have no idea of what to even do with you," she said while rubbing her temple.

So, this was all part of that. I see. We got to school together while people were repeatedly glancing at us and whispering something to each other. Looks like it was unusual for Yukinoshita to come with someone to school but she paid no heed to it. When it was finally time for us to part ways she said,

"Well then, see you in club," she said.

"Yeah."

I was about to walk away when I heard her call me out.

"Ayanokouji-kun."

"Hmm?" I turned around facing her. She looked at me and smiled.

"I will definitely make sure that you become a proper human."

Her smile was not a fake one or something out of pity but a genuine one. I was taken by the beauty of that sight but I simply nodded and walked to my class. Outside the class I met Kawasaki who looked like she was waiting for someone. I looked at her and greeted her.

"Yo, Kawasaki," she flinched and stood up straight hearing me.

"Ayanokouji-kun."

"Were you waiting for someone?"

"Yes, I was waiting for you."

"What it is?"

"Um... Keika got really restless and asked you to come today to our house if it is okay with you."

"Sure, I won't mind. I will come after the club activities are over."

"A-A-Also. Thank you for the other day."

"It's okay. I am happy that you could find Keika."

"Not for that."

"Then?"

"For the other day."

Kawasaki's pov with flashback

I was walking down the road after my prep school like always. After some time of walking some delinquents stopped me on my way.

"Yo, miss. Where are you going?" asked one of them.

"Why don't you come have some fun with us?" asked the other.

"Oh damn, she is so cute," said the person who was standing behind me.

Four of those delinquents had surrounded me. I tried to get out of the situation but they caught my hand and stopped me. I was going to punch them but they got both of my hands and dragged me to an alley.

"Hehehe, you know someone as cute as you should not be fighting. Let's have some fun shall we," said the guy in front as he started approaching me. I was scared of what will happen. It showed on my face.

"Hey, why with that face?" he said. Then I heard another voice which sounded a bit familiar.

"I highly recommend you not doing that," said the voice.

They all turned around to look at a young boy of my age with brown hair and captivating gold eyes. I know this guy, he is the transfer student, right? I think his name was Ayanokouji something. The delinquents turned their attention towards him as he held his phone in his hand.

"I have all this recorded on my phone. If the police gets their hands on it, you guys are screwed."

The others started laughing madly at the young boy.

"And what if we beat the shit out of you?" said the one who was right in front of him. He threw a punch at Ayanokouji's face but he dodged it like it was nothing and tripped the guy.

Then the other two charged at him at the same time. One threw a punch in his guts while the other tried kicking him but he again dodged it easily. What is he even doing? Like this he is only going to piss them more. They did get pissed as all of them took out a knife. At this point I did not worry about me and shouted,

"Get out of here or they will seriously hurt you."

"Don't worry. That won't happen," he said in a monotone voice and looked at them with an uninterested look.

The first one tried stabbing him but he twisted his body and dodged that blow. With the momentum of that, he kicked the other person who was approaching him in his face as he fell down unconscious. Seeing that, the others were a bit reluctant on approaching him. He did make someone unconscious in just one kick. The guy who was standing in front of me shouted,

"You bastard I am going to make you pay for this. I will kill you," he shouted but suddenly Ayanokouji charged him and whispered something in his ear. After that he punched him in his face as fell down cowering in pain. The other two charged him at the same time. He kicked the first one in his face and not stopping is spin, he punched the other. After that, there were four bodies of delinquents unconscious and Ayanokouji was standing among them. He did not even break a sweat while fighting them and just looked at them with and uninterested look on his face.

Before I could say anything he just ran of somewhere. Just like this, saving me and not even waiting for me to thank. Now that I looked at him properly, he was really handsome and at that time he looked so cool. I need to thank him later for that.

Kiyotaka's pov in the present

"So, you were the one who they ganged up on?" I spoke.

"Yes. So, t-t-thank you," she said in a meek voice.

"No need to thank me. Anyone would have done it."

"One more thing."

"Yes?"

"Why did you run away?"

"I remembered I had to buy the groceries or my mother would kill me."

I gave a believable excuse as she chuckled. The actual reason was that someone witnessed the entire thing and I wanted to know who they were but by the time I got there, they were nowhere to be seen. After that I entered the class and went to my seat. I took out a book and started reading it. It was actually one of Hiyori's recommendations which I really enjoyed reading so I am reading this for the second time and I am still enjoying it.

Homeroom started and I noticed the Hikigaya did not come yet. Not waiting for him, Hiratsuka-sensei started the class,

"We will be having a cultural festival and for that, we will be needing a boy and a girl representative for the committee. So, are there any volunteers?"

No one raised their hand. I did not know what a cultural festival was so I did not raise my hand. Hiratsuka-sensei had her eyes on me for quite some time but I did not want to do it. She sighed and said,

"If no one it doing it, then I am putting up a name in random."

She wrote a name for the boys. This was not random at all was it? I saw Hikigaya's name written on the board. At that time, the guy entered the room and only I looked at him. He walked in front of the board but when he looked at it, he let out a sound,

"Hah?"

Sorry, you were the scrape goat in this Hikigaya but I did not want to do it at all.

"Why me?" he asked.

"No one wanted to take this role so it is yours. Also, this is punishment for sleeping in my class."

His face had an expression saying, "Shit, I messed up."

"So, look around and chose a partner," she said.

He looked around the class but obviously it was Hikigaya so no girl stood up. Two of them looked like they can. Wait, one not two. Totsuka is a boy. Not able to find someone, Hiratsuka-sensei called out Yumiko but she denied immediately. Then she asked Yuigahama but she did not say anything. Go on, save this poor guy. I may have if I was not a boy but I cannot blame science for it. (Should I add Kiyone? No, it's a bad idea). Then Sagami though reluctant but raised her hand.

"If no one wants to do it then I can," she said.

"Then it is decided. You two are the official members of the committee."

"Sensei, I have a question," said Hikigaya.

"What it is?"

"You said that we are the official committee members but can I bring someone along to help?"

I don't like where this is going.

"You can, as long as you inform the committee."

After she said that, a grin formed on Hikigaya's face as he looked at me. Oh well, guess I need to do this too because I can see he is not going to take no for an answer. So, this is how I end up here in the committee. Hikigaya notified the Student Council President about me. She scanned me from top to bottom and gave me a thumbs up saying, "I approve."

I sat down with Hikigaya in my left and Sagami on my right who was trying talk to me from time to time. I looked around the room finding Yukinoshita there. I did not expect her to be in the committee. I think she was made the scrape goat in her class. May god have mercy on those people's souls.

"Hi, I am Shiromeguri Meguri. Nice to meet you all. Now we will begin the election for the executive committee. Anyone wants to take up the role?"

She asked in a joyous tone but no one raised their hand. She looked at everyone and then her eyes fixed on me and Yukinoshita. Wait, we are sitting opposite to each other so how did you even do that?

"You are Yukinoshita-san and Ayanokouji-kun, right?"

"Yes," we both said in unison.

"Just to be sure, Ayanokouji-kun, is you mother Ayanokouji Asuna?"

"Yes, she is."

When I said that I heard whispers from every direction. Was being her son that big of deal? I had no idea about that. Yukinoshita kept staring at me as if saying, "You sure got a lot of attention." What is the problem with that?

"So, then can you take up the role?" said Shiromeguri-senpai.

"I am sorry senpai but I am not an official member of the committee. Hikigaya here was the one who dragged me so I don't think I can take up the role."

When I said that I saw an expression of disappointment on her face.

"I hoped that you were an official member but as you are not, can I ask you for that Yukinoshita? You are Haruno's sister, right? When she was the chairman, the festival was a blast. It sure went down in the history of the school."

"I will work as the executive committee," she said.

"Um..." I heard a meek voice from my right as I saw Sagami raising her hand.

"If no one wants to do it then I can," she said.

Hearing her, Shiromeguri-senpai's face lit up and she jumped in excitement.

"Really? Great! And you are..."

"Oh, I am Sagami Minami from Class 2-F. I am not really well versed with this kind of work but I will try to improve myself."

When she said that everyone clapped for her. With this, she was the chairman of the executive committee. From the way she spoke I am sure she has never taken up a role like this so this is going to be really hard for us. Also, she requested Yukinoshita to be the vice chairman. She knew that refusing her will break down her image so she accepted. I feel like she is going to be burdened with work because the more competent is not on the top position.

Later that day in the club room, I opened the door and saw Yukinoshita sitting in her seat. I quietly walked in and pulled out a chair and started reading the book Hiyori recommended. After a few minutes, she finally broke the silence.

"I did not know that you were that good at fighting," she said. So, it was her.

"What are you talking about?" I asked her.

"Don't play dumb Ayanokouji-kun. I witnessed the entire event of you saving Kawasaki-san like a hero."

"Is that so? Then."

"Then?"

"Then what about it?"

"It's just that the more I try knowing about you, the more of a mystery you become. You showed me your true self on the first day you came here but I doubt that it was not it. I did see from a certain angle that I was able to see what you whispered to that person's ear. You said, "You don't know what it feels like to kill someone," didn't you?"

I am surprised she could even see that. Her abilities were on par with those in ANHS. I sighed as I put down my book.

"You are more than you think you are Yukinoshita. I also have a question."

"Which is?"

"Why did you refuse the position at first?"

"I guess you already know the answer."

"But I want to hear it from your mouth."

"Shiromeguri-senpai said that I should take up the role as I was 'Haruno's sister'. This just meant if I did well, I would not be known as Yukinoshita Yukino but just as 'Haruno's sister who did as good as her'. I did not want that so I did not take up the role."

She has start to change, the Yukinoshita before it would have taken up the role without thinking but this time she did not. I need to give it to her. She is getting better little by little.

"I see."

With that, Yuigahama and Hikigaya entered the club room together. They had some sort of weird atmosphere among them. I decided not to say anything.

"Yahallo Yukinon, Ayanon."

"Yaha- Good afternoon Yuigahama-san," said Yukinoshita while I just nodded. Hikigaya took his seat closer to me while Yuigahama sat near Yukinoshita. Hikigaya leaned over to my ear and spoke,

"Why is that you both are always before us together in the club room?"

"Why is that you both enter the club room together?"

After that he flinched back as he had a tint of red on his face. Interesting. After some more time of reading, Yukinoshita broke the silence.

"I was thinking that since we will all be busy with the festival work; we should stop the club activities till then."

"Okay," we all said in unison.

After that, the bell rang telling us to go home. Yukinoshita was walking along side me when I changed courses. She looked a little confused with it so I replied,

"Sorry, I need to go and meet someone. You go home on your own."

"I can go back without you," she said while walking back to her destination.

I checked the phone for the address and looks like I am near it. After a minute or two, I found the Kawasaki residence. It was a normal house which looked like any other. I pressed the door bell and someone was talking through the speaker on the bell.

"Who is it?" said Keika.

"Kono Dio da."

"Huh? Wait, that voice. Kiyotaka-niichan!"

After hearing that, the door was flung open as I saw the little figure of Keika running towards me. She jumped and hugged me. I saw Kawasaki and another boy there who looked like them. Maybe, he is Kawasaki's little brother. Keika dragged me in the house and I greeted them.

"Thank you for having me."

"It's no problem. Keika wanted to play with you so much that she already made a list of all the things you will do. It is really long," said Kawasaki. The young boy beside her looked at me with a confused look on his face.

"Hello there, I am Ayanokouji Kiyotaka. I am in the same Class as Kawasaki."

"Oh, you are Ayanokouji-san? Sorry for my rudeness. I am Kawasaki Taishi. You can call me Taishi. I am in middle school. Thank you for helping my sisters," he said while bowing down.

"Enough of that. Let's go Kiyotaka-niichan," said Keika who was jumping and pulling my hand. She took me to their living room as we played. This is the first time for me doing something like that and I had a lot of fun. During the entire time I was thinking one thing,

"It's nice to have a younger sibling."

"Hmm?" said Kawasaki. Looks like I said that out loud.

"Kiyotaka-niichan, are you an only child?"

"Yes, I am."

"Don't you have cousins?" asked Taishi.

"I recently saw my mother for the first time. I was told that I was supposed to have a younger sister but she stopped breathing after five minutes she entered this world."

That is what I was told. Hearing that, there was a sad look on everyone's face. Before I could say something, Keika pulled my t-shirt.

"It's going to be okay Kiyotaka-niichan," she said with a big smile as I unconsciously pat her head as she started giggling.

"Your hands are really strong yet they are not hard," said Keika.

"Is that so? I never thought much about it."

"Well, you are strong I can give you that," said Kawasaki.

"How do you know onee-chan?" asked Taishi who was elbowing his sister as she pinched him in his arm.

"I was caught up by some delinquents and he was the one who saved me from them," said Kawasaki.

"Saved you? Oh, so that was the person who you said was so ho- "

Before he could utter another word, his mouth was covered and I could see a pained expression on his face. Was she squeezing it? Looks like it. Then Kawasaki stood up and went to the kitchen. Then she brought out four plates with some dish on it. It was a cake on which there was vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce was poured on it.

"Yay, chocolate brownie," said Keika who was jumping at her place.

"You like this?" I asked her.

"Yes. I love it. Don't you like it?" she asked with an innocent look on her face. How can someone even do that?

"I have never tried it."

As soon as I said it, there was a shocked look on their faces. Also, I am going to call their hair colour Kawasaki blue from now on.

"You are saying you have never eaten Chocolate brownie?" asked Kawasaki and I nodded. Then I was forcefully sat down in a chair and the dish was served in front of me. I looked at the Kawasakis as they looked at me with an expression saying, "Eat."

I sighed and took my spoon, then as Keika instructed, I took the cake and the ice cream in a single scoop for "maximum taste." I placed the spoon in my mouth as the flavours burst out in my mouth. The cake was hot along with the sauce while the ice cream was cold which was balancing out it perfectly. Also, the flavours just mixed perfectly in my mouth and my eyes widened. As I did, they all made a victory pose as they stared eating their dish. This was something I feel like I can eat everyday but it was not very healthy so I will be refraining myself from doing that.

After some more time, I left the Kawasaki residence as Keika told me come back again. I walked out and decided to go straight home because it was getting quite dark and I also had desert before dinner. I am a bad boy.

Upon reaching the building, I saw the elder Yukinoshita standing outside looking up. I did not want to bother her so I walked past her without her noticing me. I entered the elevator and pressed the button for my floor. As I turned around, the elder Yukinoshita seemed to notice me and waved at me and I waved back. The door closed and as it opened at my floor, I saw Yukinoshita outside her apartment door in her school uniform with a worried expression on her face. I called her,

"What happened?"

"Oh, Ayanokouji-kun. Nothing really."

"Want to wait in my house?" I asked her.

"Why would I do that?"

"You lost your keys didn't you and are waiting for the staff. It's been three hours now. You cannot stand there forever so wait in my house."

"You seem to know everything don't you?"

"I don't know everything. I just know what I know." (Did anyone get that reference?)

"I see. I think I will take up the offer."

With that she entered my house as she sat at the couch. I went in the kitchen to make some coffee for her. She must be exhausted for now. Just how long was she standing there? I also brought out some snacks for her.

"What are the snacks for?"

"You have been standing out there all the time didn't you? I don't why you did that but I do not want you collapsing in my house."

"And what if I did collaps."

"Then you are unconscious in a boys house where there no one else except for you and him."

"I don't like where this is go-"

"So, I would call a doctor."

"Huh?"

"What else were you thinking?"

"Nothing."

After that there was complete silence as she was sipping her coffee and munching down the snacks with a smile on her face. She really did not eat anything did she? How can she be really smart and also this dumb at the same time? Why do I feel I have heard this somewhere?

"You know what will happen now don't you?" I said.

"What do you mean?"

"About the committee. I am sure the work will all be on you."

"Then I will manage it out myself somehow."

"And here I thought that you changed," I said while sighing.

"What do you mean by that?"

"You know you have people you can rely and you can trust, don't you? You cannot do everything on your own, can you? You will break under it no matter how strong you are."

"And who will be able to help me."

"When did you get so blind Yukinoshita. There is Yuigahama, Hikigaya and me if you consider my assistance as not nuisance."

"Ayanokouji-kun, why are you so determined to help me?" she asked with a curious look on her face."

"Because..."

Author's note- Please don't kill be because of this cliff hanger. As much as I hate them, I also love using them. I hope with this chapter some things become more clearer to you guys and also, I am not really good at writing fight scenes so please rate if out of 10 and if you have any tips for it please do tell. This masochist would love it. Jane

Getting the help of someone exceptional

As the boy with brown hair and golden eyes said that, I tensed up. Wanting to know why does he actually do it? There is no proper explanation for his actions or to be more precise, I can never know his true motives and next move.

"I love you Yukinoshita Yukino."

I love you Yukinoshita Yukino.

I love you Yukinoshita Yukino.

I love you Yukinoshita Yukino.

Okay. WHAT!! What did he just say? The words that left his mouth replayed in my mind again and again. I have heard these same words from many different boys in my entire life before but they were never able to make me lose my composure right now. I had no idea what expression I was making at the moment and there is no way of knowing it because the boy sitting in front of me was just staring at me blankly. How can he say something with a straight face? As I was about to say something, the bell rang. Not able to hold my embarrassment, I ran up to the door and opened it.

"Ma'am, I am here to inform you that the door lock has been opened. You can enter your apartment now," said the person who was standing there.

I looked over at Ayanokouji-kun as he miraculously teleported right behind me. Too close. Wait, why am I getting flustered by this? Normally if any boy was this close I won't mind or I may just start feeling disgusted by it.

"I called him, he is not from the staff from the building here though," he said.

"I-i-is that so. Well then, I will be taking my leave."

Saying that I ran to my apartment and crash on the couch (do anyone know difference between a sofa and a couch? I am really confused between the two and I am too lazy to google it even though I am writing this shit here). I remember my conversation with my mother back then. She told me about him. About the master piece of white room. About the demon that place created.

My father was an investor for the white room. I once over heard my mother and father talking about that place.

"So, you are seriously investing in that project?" my mother said.

"Yes, I am. I could not refuse the request from professor Ayanokouji. You know how much I respect him," my father said.

"Looks like I cannot win against you in this argument, can I? Okay, I will not go against your decision to invest in the white room for now."

When I heard those words, I unintentionally said out loud,

"What is the white room?"

My parents heard that and as they opened the door, I looked at them with a little scared look on my face. I felt like this was something I was not supposed to know about. I looked behind them and there was a big screen on which was a brown haired boy doing something. I was told to forget about everything I saw that day and was sent back to my room.

When she recently was talking to me, I was really tensed. My mother took over my father and was now controlling his business. My sister was next in line for the same as she was the eldest daughter. After a long serious talk she said,

"Yukino, is there any boy in your school you got interested in?"

"Huh? Why ask this al of a sudden?"

"I don't know. Maybe I am trying to talk more like a normal mother."

"Is that so?"

"Then, who is it?"

"It's... It's..."

"It's?"

"His name is Ayanokouji Kiyotaka."

As soon as those words left my mouth, I saw an expression of surprise on her face. I knew that my mother was a good friend of Ayanokouji Asuna. They were kind of best friends but this look on her face said something even more.

"Are you sure that his name is Ayanokouji Kiyotaka? Asuna-san's son?"

"Yes, he is."

"I see. You need to be careful around that boy."

"Why is that?"

"I think I cannot hide it from you. You remember that your father was investing in a project called the white room? You overheard our conversation."

"Y-y-yes. But what does Ayanokouji-kun has to do with it?"

"Ayanokouji Kiyotaka is the masterpiece of white room. If you see the data, he is a monster with intelligence which can par with the greatest minds in this world and physical ability with which he could easily destroy a world level fighter."

As she said that, my eyes widened. I never thought that Ayanokouji-kun was someone from that place. I had no idea how it was but if he was brought up in such a place which made him like this then I am sure it is by no mean kind or a place where a normal human can survive.

Coming back to the present, I was so tired for standing outside for so long that I decided to sleep on the couch. From tomorrow, I have to also take care of all my duties as the vice chairman of the committee. As Ayanokouji-kun said,

"I lo-"

No, no, no, no, no, no. This is not what I have to think about right now. He said that the work load will be on me the most. I hope I will be able to do this. Do you think I will be able to do this mother? (Don't say that she sounds like she talking to her dead mother)

The next day, I woke up and did my daily routine. I opened the door and closed it and waited for Ayanokouji-kun. I don't why I do this but I want to know about him. His entire existence is such a mystery that I feel myself being pulled towards him to know more but I am also scared. The more I know, the more I feel like I am being sucked into the darkness. I cannot properly explain it but the door opened and Ayanokouji-kun come out. He looked at me and let out a sigh. What was that for? I wonder. I greet him and he simply nodded. We entered the elevator and then the door closes. There was this awkward silence between us. I felt like breaking it.

"About yesterday-"

"No need to thank me. I did it on my own accords. I did not want you to spend too much time in the apartment as you also had other things to do," he said in his monotone voice.

"I was not talking about that."

"Then what were you talking about?" he titled his head in confusion. Is he being for real? Also, why I am being so out of character in front of him right now?

"Is something wrong Yukinoshita? You are red right now. Do you have a fever?" he said while placing his hand on my head.

(I am seriously writing all this while listening to caste room. It's so good.)

I took a step back as my face became more flushed. I felt my face heating up. The elevator door opened and we stepped out. I wonder what will happen to me if I go along this path.

We reached the school and were walking side by side. It kind of became natural for me in a day but today, I felt a bit embarrassed feeling all the gazes. Ayanokouji-kun noticed and sped up and so did I. When we reached our classes, I waved at him and walked to my class. As soon as I entered my class, everyone were staring at me. It was kind of normal for me but today, the stare was more intense and all the staring people were girls. The boys just looked at me smiled and stopped looking as soon as I looked at them.

The entire day went with the girls glancing at me from time to time and giggling. This went for the next few days and right now, I was in the executive committee room and the meeting was about to start. Sagami-san entered the room with a joyous mood and sat at her seat to the left of me. I looked over at Ayanokouji-kun and he simply nodded. I interacted with him enough so I know that he was telling me to do what I am supposed to do. After some time, Sagami-san said,

"Okay, now we will be beginning the meeting. How is our advertising going on?"

The senpai who was in charge of our advertising department stood up with a piece of paper in his hand.

"The pin-up posters are halfway to completion."

"Really? That is great!" said Sagami-san but it was not, we were behind the schedule.

"No, we are behind the schedule," I said.

"Huh?"

"Have you determined the positon for the poster and updated the school website?"

"Not yet," he said.

"Please hurry then. Working individuals aside, students considering applying to this school and their guardians check the website often."

"Okay." With this he sat down and I told Sagami-san to continue.

"O-okay. Liaison, you are next."

"Yes. Ten groups have expressed desire to participate," said the girl from second year.

"The numbers are increasing. Maybe it's thanks to the regional awards. Then nex-"

"Are those groups only from within the school? Have any outside organization approached us?" I interrupted her. I am not the biggest fan of doing this but we needed to make that clear so that later we do not run into any problems are confusions.

"We use this event as a mean to maintain relationships with people in the region. We need to ensure steady participation from outside. We'll also need a schedule for stage usage and staff to manage it. Please submit timetable for those," I continued while I felt Sagami-san looking at me with amazed look on her face with a hint of sadness.

"Okay," saying that, she sat down.

"Yukinoshita-san is amazing."

I heard this going around the entire room. Everyone was agreeing to it while Hikigaya-kun was just looking around weirdly Ayanokouji-kun had his arms fold and had closed his eyes. He was intently listening to everyone. I think I saw the side of his face curl up a little. No, it was just my imagination.

"I knew Haruno-san's sister would be amazing," said Shiromeguri-senpai. As she said that, I saw Ayanokouji-kun's eyes open. He looked at her for a second and then averted his gaze.

"No, I have not done anything amazing," I said.

"She should have been the in charge," I heard someone else say that.

"I know that she is amazing and all but can we please continue. We are short on time as Yukinoshita said."

I followed the voice and saw Ayanokouji-kun was the one speaking. As soon as he said that, the room became serious again. With just one sentence he was able to do that. I noticed some boys wanted to say something to him but were reluctant in doing so.

"Ayanokouji-kun is right. Next, historians," I continued to proceedings of the meeting as Sagami-san was looking down.

"Historians should submit a schedule detailing which events they will cover and equipment requests."

With this, I had to single handedly continue all the proceedings of the meeting. When the meeting ended, we packed our stuff and were leaving the room. Hikigaya-kun left as soon as the bell rang. He looked in hurry for some reason. I walked out of the room seeing Ayanokouji-kun standing in the hallway leaning near the window holding a book in his hands. His gaze fell on me and he invited me.

"Good job back there," he said.

"It was obvious isn't it? Who do you think I am?"

"Joseph Joestar?" (Sorry for the jojo references I am throwing randomly. Hope you don't mind)

"What?"

"Nothing. So, what is the plan now?"

"We are behind the schedule in every region. If we do not increase our rate of doing the work, I doubt that we will be able to host a proper festival."

"I see. Still, I don't think there is any need to worry."

"And why would you say that?"

"You will take care of it all and I will assist you. With that, we will make it somehow. No, we will definitely make it in time. I will also be experiencing my first ever school festival."

Yes, this is going to be his first school festival. Wait, but what about his first year in ANHS?

"Did you not have a school festival in your old school?"

"There was a policy of no contact with the outside world in the school so they never had anything like a school festival. Since it is going to be my first, I think I will put some extra effort in it."

"By extra, just how much effort do you mean?"

"Little more than normal."

"That will be more than enough if you are the one doing it. You really are amazing Ayanokouji-kun," those words just came out of my mind. As soon as I realized that, I covered my mouth and started blushing. If he would say anything to me, I am sure I won't be able to give a proper answer. Just what is going on with me?

Seeing me not in normal state, he did not say anything and kept reading his book. We are in the hallway and many people who passed by were staring at us. What is this awkward situation? After some time, no one was present in the hallway. Not a single soul was there. I felt a strong but soft hand on my head. I looked over to see Ayanokouji-kun was patting my head while still reading his book.

"No need to worry Yukinoshita. It is going to be alright."

Those words which left his mouth kind of stuck to me in some way. Those words made me more determined to make this festival a success. I already loved school festivals for some reason still unknown to me and then this was his first school festival. I looked at him and gave him a smile.

"I know it is going to be. You are going to help me right? Ayanokouji-kun."

His eyes widened for a second and he was back to normal. At least smile for once will you? Anyway, we were getting late so we head back to our home. All the while, no one said anything but it was not weird silence but a peaceful one. Ayanokouji-kun stopped by the book store to for some time and I decided to stop along with him.

"You know you don't have to do this. It may take a while," he said.

"It's okay. While you are at it, I will also be looking for some books. I cannot get enough of those can I?"

"Okay, if you insist."

I went around the bookstore and there were so many books that I wanted to read and buy that I got confused. After half an hour or so, I found Ayanokouji-kun still in the mystery section. He came out with five books in his hands and gave it to the cashier. After that we went back to our houses. The festival has just started.

The next day, I was in the committee room along with Ayanokouji-kun, who was reading his book in the room waiting for others to come. He told that Hikigaya-kun was held by Ebina-san because he was given a role in the play that class 2-F was doing. The door opened and Shiromeguri-senpai entered the room along with someone I knew. She had her hair as always. What is she doing here? She looked at me and waved,

"Hello Yukino-chan."

She looked around the room and her gaze fell on Ayanokouji-kun. She walked up to him and stood in front of him.

"So, you are also in the committee Kiyotaka-kun," she said and she used his first name with no hesitation.

"Yes, I am. May I know why you are here Haruno-san," and he returned the favor.

"Heh? Using my first name right off the bat are you? You are quite daring."

"You were the one who used my first name so it would be awkward if I did not do so too."

"With this lineup, I don't think Meguri-chan would need my help would you?"

Nee-san did not know about the existence of the white room so she is not well aware of the existence of Ayanokouji-kun and what she does not know, she strives hard to know about. She hates being left in the dark and so she would get herself involved in some way or the other. As nee-san was in the room, there was a large crowd which started forming at the door. My family was well known in the region and nee-san, who was going to be next after my mother was well known around here. She was kind of a celebrity here and also a well-known student of the student of the school.

"Shiromeguri-senpai, may I know what is she doing here?" I decided to speak.

"Aww? You don't like me being here?"

"Shiromeguri-senpai, are planning to answer the question?"

"Sorry, I asked her to come. We didn't have enough groups participating, so I thought, maybe she could... Haru-san played base in her third year! Hiratsuka-sensei was in it too! It was amazing!"

"I know. I saw the performance."

After that, nee-san let out a laugh.

"Oh, please Meguri-chan. I was just playing around. Come on, can't I, Yukino-chan? I want to do whatever I can for my lovely little sister!"

She was holding my shoulders while saying that and I pushed them away. I looked over at Ayanokouji-kun and he kept reading the book. I cannot let him take every decision, can I?

"You are free to apply. I am not approving the applications anyway."

"Really? I thought you were committee chairman. Then who is in charge?"

As she said that, we heard a voice from near the door.

"Sorry I am late! I checked up on my class and end up stuck there!" Sagami-san said while running towards us.

"Haru-san she is the chairman," said Shiromeguri-senpai.

"I am Sagami Minami," she said while bowing down as nee-chan. She turned towards her with her arms fold.

"Hmm? The cultural festival chairwoman was late because she checked up on her class. I see."

"Well..."

"That is the only way to go. Only someone who enjoys the cultural festival to the fullest deserves to be chair," she said with a smile on her face.

"Thank you so much," Sagami-san bowed her head down even further.

"So, I have a request for you, chairwoman! I want to participate in it too! But Yukino-chan doesn't want me to."

She looked at me smirked saying,

"Sure, why not. We are already down on participation."

"Thank you."

Nee-san went and hugged Sagami-san. Closing up on someone's personal space like it was nothing was one of the things nee-san was really good at.

"Maintaining relationship with people in the region right?" she said in a mocking tone as I walked away and took my seat. At that point, someone with black hair and dead eyes entered the room. Nee-san noticed him and called him out,

"I never thought that you were going to be in the committee Hikigaya-kun."

"Neither did I. Well, we could say the same about your sister."

"Oh her? I always knew she was going to do it. I mean, it would be hard for her to go to club, and I was also the chairwoman in the past. It's enough reason to think she would."

I went back to doing my work on my laptop. There was still so much work left to do for this festival and we were way back schedule. Even with nee-san joining, it won't be enough. We will also be needing more participation from individual groups from our school as the slots for the groups from outside were almost filled while for the school ones, there are still a lot of slots left. Sagami-san walked in the middle of the room.

"Hey, everyone! Attention please! I've been thinking, and, like, I think committee members needs to enjoy the festival the most! Like, you can't make something enjoyable unless you enjoy it too! We've been on top of our schedule so far, and I think helping our classes are important too. Why don't we slow down our pace?"

"Sagami-san, I think we shouldn't be taking our work so lightly. We've been proceeding with haste early on to give us leeway-"

"We helped our classes back when I was chairwoman," nee-san cut me in.

"Yukinoshita-san, I don't know what's going on between you two, but we should listen to our elders, you know? Let's keep personal matter out of this and-"

"I don't think what she is saying is out of personal matter," Ayanokouji-kun cut Sagami-san as everyone was looking at him now.

"Then what do you think about it Ayanokouji-kun? Do you have a proper explanation for this, or you are simply saying it to protect you girlfriend," said Sagami-san.

As she said that, some people and Sagami-san's group burst out laughing at Ayanokouji-kun. They started saying different things to him like,

"He think he is hot shit."

"He is just doing to it protect Yukinoshita."

While all this was going on, his expression did not change at all and he closed sighed but as soon as he did, there was complete silence in the room. No one, even nee-san dare say anything at the moment. He had a different aura around him. He looked at nee-san and asked,

"Haruno, when you were chairwoman, how many times you were behind schedule?"

"Oh. Never. We were never behind schedule during our time. We were in fact a lot ahead of our schedule."

"And there you have it."

"What?" said Sagami-san.

"Haruno here just said that they were never behind the schedule so helping their class was an option. Yukinoshita, what is the current situation?"

"We, are still not done with a lot of stuff and may need to rush through some of them."

"Do you seriously think that it is a good idea to slow down Sagami? Also you said that we should listen to our elders but just as I showed here, their and our situations would be different so we cannot always take it by heart which you are doing right now. I think I made my point now."

After saying this, he took out his laptop and started working on it. No one said anything after that for some time and everyone were just looking at Ayanokouji-kun. Silencing and going up against nee-san was not something just anyone could do. She was also amazed by it and did not say anything. Then everyone went back to their work. We were still behind the schedule and the work was stacking up on me. I had so many things to do.

I rubbed my temple and let out a sigh.

"You seem tired," I heard a voice behind me which surprised me a lot. I turned to see Ayanokouji-kun there just staring at me.

"The work is by no means decreasing. I think we might just make it," I said.

He looked at the stack of paper next to me which just increased as the time passed by. I looked over to where he was sitting and looks like he had completed his work. Maybe he is leaving now because he is the only one whose work is done.

"Need help with those?" he said.

"Huh?"

"It's obvious that this is too much for you. You will get sick if you do it all by yourself. Remember what I told you?"

"Then can you take care of them for me please."

"Roger that ma'am."

Saying that he took more than half of the papers and I told him what all needs to be done and he walked back to station. Hikigaya-kun, whose work was also done as Ayanokouji-kun was helping him yawned and was about to stand up but was pulled back to his seat by Ayanokouji-kun. I could faintly heard their conversation.

"Hey, what is that?" Hikigaya-kun said.

"Work. We are done with ours and you do not look tired so sit down and get to it along with me."

"Why do I have to do this?"

"You said what we do here is we do together as I am here because of you. So, here. Get to it now."

Hikigaya-kun let out a groan and I laughed a bit. I remembered Ayanokouji-kun's words again,

"I lo-"

No, not that.

"If you need my help, you know where to find me."

Now that I remember that, did someone say that I am his girlfriend?

Author note- I think this masochist is going to leave it to this. So, how was it? This the first time I wrote a whole chapter from not Kiyo's pov and a character like Yukinoshita so please tell me how it was and did I get the monologues correct? Also, tell me if you like my idea of Yukinoshita knowing about Kiyo's actual personality. If you don't then sucks to be you because I won't change but I would love if you insult me in the comments.

Also, comment your favorite anime opening. Mine is unravel from Tokyo ghoul season 1.

One last thing. Tell me that this is really cool right? I found it on the net.

Jane.

This is getting troublesome

I was sitting at my station with Hikigaya next to me and we were taking care of the work Yukinoshita got. Well, more than half of it and even that was a lot. The amount of work we did before this was nothing compared to Yukinoshita's work. This is going to put a lot of toll of her. I am afraid that she may have to rest for a day. That is what she should do. While working I looked over at her and I could see rubbing her eyes and temple again and again. This was not good.

"What happened?" asked Hikigaya.

"I am just worried."
"About Yukinoshita? You guys got really close didn't you?" he said while elbowing me having a grin on his face.

"We are not as close as you and Yuigahama."

As I said that, his face turned a little red and he got back to work. I was just joking. Didn't know that was true. My speculation of Hikigaya so far was that even though the way he looks and how he thinks, he can get through a lot of situations himself. The problem was that it meant that he had to sacrifice something. It could even be himself. His way of doing did get the job done but he did not care about the consequences. When it comes to helping someone he has to, he would just do it his way without giving a second thought. He is like a little bomb who can self-destruct and harm himself and the people who care about him. Due to the way he used to live, he forgot that there are people now who care about him outside of his family. My hand unconsciously went over to his shoulder and I started patting his back. He looked a little stunned by it looked at me but I did not say anything and got back to work.

I got to know from Yuigahama that he had played a major role in solving Yuigahama's, Totsuka's, Yamimokuza's, Hayama's and Kawasaki's problems. He had a lot of potential in him too but he was like a rusted iron. It was looked like it could not be used but if we try, we can get the rust off and get the proper iron which has a very high value. That is Hikigaya.

"Excuse me," we heard a voice. My eyes followed the voice seeing the figure of Hayama standing at the door with a piece of paper in his hands.

"I'd like to submit an application for the group's participation."

"Application go in the back left bin," said Yukinoshita.

Hayama walked over to us as we were doing our jobs. He waved at me and Hikigaya and I replied by nodding and Hikigaya did the same.

"Do you have enough hands?" Hayama asked.

"No time to grasp the situation. We drones have enough on our subcommittee plates," replied Hikigaya.

"What subcommittee?"

"I am assistant historian."

"I am just helping with any extra work," I said.

"By any you mean?"

"If any station had some problem with their work or are short on hand, I assist them and handle their work. I am doing that right now along with Hikigaya."

"Whose work is it?"

"This one is Yukinoshita's."

He looked at the work we had in hand and then looked over at Yukinoshita as her work was increasing by the second. We just started half an hour ago and her work had almost got to its original amount. It would have been good if a certain someone did her job but there is no good fretting on that. I continued doing my work and Hayama just stared at us.

"Then isn't Yukinoshita-san doing everything?" said Hayama. As he did, Yukinoshita stopped typing and looked at him. I know you are a bit concerned but that was the wrong move at this moment.

"It's more efficient this way," she said.

"But it will turn into a disaster real soon. You should learn to rely on others when worse comes to worst," said Hayama.

"I won't let that happen," I decided to say and all three of them just stared at me. I sighed and got back to my work.

"I'll help," said Hayama.

"I will take care of the paperwork of the participating groups. As a representative from the participants. How does it sound?" he added.

"Yukinoshita-san, team work makes dream work. Even Haru-san delegated tasks in times like these," said Shiromeguri-senpai. They are still comparing her to her sister.

Yukinoshita looked at me but I did not respond. I cannot always make decisions for her. Little by little, she needs to analyze the situation better and make the decision. She has to grow as no one will always stay with you forever. People come and go but that does not mean we have to stop growing and moving forward. Everyone looked at her for an answer. She sighed and was about to say something but.

"Sure, relying on other is important. But every other little shit here was set relying on other in the first place," said Hikigaya.

As he did everyone looked at him. He could not stop his inner thought to come out. He was basically just trashing on almost everyone in the committee. Even so, he was not wrong so decided to let him continue. This is how he works, let's see what he does.

"Well, basically you know... Uh... Yeah. Those jerks shoving jobs onto me. I can't get a break, but that's not my fault. So if anyone here is taking a break, then they deserve to die."

"You're horrible," said Shiromeguri-senpai.

"I don't think he is," I decided to but in because i could not let him get any lower. Think of it as a friend helping a friend. At lease that is what it is supposed to look like.

"I won't go as far as to say that they should die but taking a break at a time like this is not acceptable. The deadline is near and as far as I can see, we are nowhere close to even giving them a proper event. In a time like this taking a break would really be the worst decision."

As I did, they all started staring at me with dumb fold expression. Just how many times has this happened since I have been here? I saw a faint smile appearing on Yukinoshita's face and Hikigaya just looked at me like he had just found his buddy. I won't mind that honestly. I looked at them and everyone got back to work. In all the commotion, I am sure Sagami who was at the door also heard all this as she entered the room with her head lowered and she sat at her seat. Her group which was not the part of the committee did not enter and were the peering from the door.

She sat down and Yukinoshita handed her some papers to put stamp on. She started doing that but with a sad look on her face. I need to do something about her too.

"I see that the stress is getting to the assistants and the helpers too. I would reconsider division on labor. According to Shiromeguri-senpai's suggestion, we welcome you with open arms," said Yukinoshita and she looked at Sagami for conformation and she only nodded while doing her work.

"Since we have decided that, let's all work hard," said Shiromeguri-senpai.

The rest of the time went with us working and I and Hikigaya somehow were able to take care of the work we took up. I looked over at Yukinoshita and saw the work was still stacked. Looks like I have to work when I get home too. This is so troublesome. Everyone dispersed but I had to talk to someone. As soon as they stood up and walked out, I followed them and called her out.

"Sagami, do you have a minute?"

As looked over at me with shameful eyes as if regretting taking up the position. This was not good. I forcefully took her hand and took her to some place where we could be alone. She stood in front of me. Her eyes still could not look at me.

"What do you want?" she said meekly.

"First of all I want to apologize if you got hurt due to anything I said today when I went against you thought."

I said that bowing down a little and she was a little surprised by my actions. She did not expect this coming.

"The thing is that this was the first school festival I am ever experiencing so I wanted to it be the best. Sorry if you got hurt due to my selfishness."

"Huh? You mean that this is your first ever school festival?"

"Yeah, I was kind of home schooled and we did not have the concept of a school festival in my previous school. So, did you realize?"

I started to get to the main topic. As I said that she was back to her previous condition. Looks like she did. I stood in front of her and waited for her but she did not say anything. One minute, she did not say anything. Two minutes, she was still silent. After five minutes of silence realizing I won't let her go until she answers she spoke,

"I did. I should not have taken a position I could not handle. It was not made for me. I should have just stayed as a committee member and not as the useless chairwoman people think I am."

"You are exactly right."

As I said that, tears started to form into her eyes. She was on the verge of crying and had her face in her hands.

"But you are wrong about one thing."

"Huh?"

"The fact that the position was not made for you. There is nothing in this world that a human cannot do. If there was then we would not have advanced so much in the history as we did. I do realize that every human has strength and weaknesses. Some are not physically fit, some are not intelligent but that does not mean that they cannot fix it. With proper training, a person can become physically fit. With proper way of teaching a person can soon understand things better. There are not weaknesses that are absolute in this world. You can do this work but for that you have to actually do the job and not throw it on someone else like you did with Yukinoshita."

As I said that, she looked at me. Her eyes were dry now and she was not crying anymore. She was just astonished by this.

"Then what do I do?"

"Do what you can and are supposed to do. That is more than enough for this job. I think I took a lot of time of yours while asking you to come for a minute. Sorry about that."

"No, no. I should be thanking you instead. I am going to be the best chairwoman I can. You will help me right Ayanokouji-kun?"

"If you don't mind me helping you then sure. It should just me in the limit of what I can do."

After that she left waving at me and I was just standing there. I went and leaned on the wall and sighed. They are not supposed to be here but yet they are. What will I do about them?

"Come out now," I said. The figure of the girl with long black hair and blue eyes emerged out of the shadows and stood in front of me.

"This is not where the school exit is," I said.

"I was curious what you would do to Sagami-san."

"Why?"

"No reason. Just curious."

"She won't steal me. Don't worry," I decided to tease her as a punishment of eavesdropping on my conversation. She blushed a lot and hit me in the chest lightly. Back then I said that I loved her but that was only because I am really interesting in learning about love. I could not feel it when I got a family so I am trying to back to my old methods. I had other option but Yukinoshita was the best option out of them. I really wanted to know what it love. What is it like to love someone? I already knew how it feels like being loved thanks to Kei. Some more time and I would have gotten to that stage but I came here. Now my new textbook for love is standing in front on me completely red.

"Cute," I said to tease her a little more. Honestly it is fun really fun as she started hitting my chest with a little more force. I held her hands and looked into her eyes. She was being sucked into my eyes as she did not say anything. She did not know what do at the moment as I touched her head with mine. Yes, she had a fever now.

"W-w-what do you think you are doing?" she said trying to get away from my grasp but I did not let go.

"You have a fever didn't you? Let's go home."

Saying that I grabbed her arm dragging her home. On the way, she felt a little dizzy and it was dangerous to let her walk anymore. Her fever was high and I could not risk having her walk in this condition. Before she could react, I got her on my back as she said,

"W-w-what are you doing? Let me down."

"If I do, you may faint and hurt yourself and I don't want that. Stay silent for a bit. We are almost there."

We entered the building and she was sleeping on my back. How did she fall asleep so fast? We got into the elevator and the door closed. I got off at our floor and Yukinoshita was mumbling in her seat. I did not pay head to her until I heard,

"What did the white room do to you? Ayanokouji-kun."

I stopped at my tracks. How does she know about the white room? She was not supposed to know about that place. Does she has connection to one of the investors? I did not know. I was in front of my room as the door opened and the woman came out with a big smile on her face.

"Welcome back Kiyo- Oooooh. Young love I see."

She was a bit surprised seeing the sleeping Yukinoshita on my back but I asked her the question.

"Does the Yukinoshita family know anything about the white room?" I asked her with a cold voice.

"Don't be so cold. I am your mother. As for your answer, yes. The Yukinoshitas were one of the investors of the white room. Why ask that?"

So they were one of the investors. I think Yukinoshita knowing about the white room was only a coincidence because Haruno had no idea about it. She was a good actor but I could tell that she knows absolutely nothing about me. I handed her my bag.

"Please keep this in my room and make some porridge. I will come get it."

"This is my first day here staying with you now and the first thing I get are not hugs and kisses but order," she said while pouting her face and crossing her hands.

"Yukinoshita has a high fever so I am going to take care of her for a while until she wakes. Once I get back, do whatever you want." (Don't get ideas you degenerates. This is not that one shot fanfic)

"Yaay!" she said taking my bag and closing the door. From today onwards, she is going to be living with me. I wonder what will happen in the near future. Will I have any affection for her as her son or will she be just another woman in front of me. I don't know but first I need to take care of the doll who is tickling my neck with her breath.

I saw her once locking the door and keeping the key in her bag which was in my hands. I opened it and searched through it. There were tons of paper in the bag and a lot of books. What else did I expect? I unlocked her door and entered the apartment. Turning on the lights, I got a better view of it. It was well lit and the furniture was different but the mapping of the rooms were the same. Following that, I reached her bed room and got her into bed. I was about to walk away but she grabbed my uniform having a worried expression on her sleeping face. I made her leave the uniform somehow and went to the kitchen. I took some ice and put it in water. I grabbed a small towel and went back to her room. Dipping the towel, I placed it on her head.

I did this process again and again as her breathing calmed down a bit. I stayed there for a little longer and then left the room. I closed her door and went to my apartment. The woman had made the porridge which I took from her and went back to Yukinoshita's room. I entered seeing her awake and a little confused.

"Huh? What? How did I get here and AYANOKOUJI-KUN? What are you doing here?" she shouted and coughed.

"Don't shout, you have a fever. Even the great Yukinoshita Yukino can let her guard down I did not expect that. I kind of enjoyed my time when you were asleep."

"Huh? What did you do to me?" she said having the wrong idea in her head.

"I took care of you and this is how I got treated? Anyways, I am borrowing your kitchen for a while."

Saying that I took the pot full of porridge in the kitchen and got it in a plate as it was really hot. Taking that and a spoon, I took it to Yukinoshita and served it to her. She kept staring at the porridge for some time.

"Did you make this?" she asked.

"No I asked my mother to make it."

"I see. Well the, ita-"

"Yeah before that."

I shoved the thermometer in her mouth. I had to see her temperature first. When I checked it was around 102 degree Fahrenheit. After some time the thermometer beeped and I took it out.

"You know I can do that too," she said.

"Yes but I wanted to see it for myself."

Saying that, I checked the thermometer and it showed 100 degree Fahrenheit. I am glad it went down. Telling her the temperature, she started eating as I went to clean the thermometer and put it back. I went back to her room seeing Yukinoshita munching down the porridge with a happy expression on her face like a little kid. I wanted to talk about the white room right now but I decided not to because she needs to be in good health first.

"You liked it?" I asked her and she happily nodded. They say in a fever, the person can act like a kid or say their thoughts out but that is only during high fever. Once finished with the porridge, I took the plate and washes it along with the spoon. Keeping it back, I went back to her room to check on her a last time.

"Thank you Ayanokouji-kun."

"It's fine. Don't worry about that. Also take a leave tomorrow. You cannot work in this situation."

"Huh? But the festi-"

"I will take care of that. I just need to work a little more and I wouldn't mind doing it once in a while."

Saying that I left her room and her apartment. I got back to my home and as I did the woman jumped on me hugging me and started gripping tighter and tighter. This is so troublesome. That night I she slept in the same bed as me hugging me the entire tome because she was "too scared to sleep alone". You live separate from that man. You are used to sleeping alone. (Or not. Wtf did I just say)

The next day, I was in the committee room and everyone were looking for Yukinoshita. I was standing next to Hikigaya and Shiromeguri-senpai. Hiratsuka-sensei entered the room and said,

"Yukinoshita won't be coming today. So, for today all the work of Yukinoshita will be taken care by Ayanokouji."

As she said, everyone looked at me and I nodded. I told her not to worry and I already completed all her work which she had at that time with the help of that woman. She was surprisingly good at it and did not look like she was doing it for the first time. She was also really fast at typing. She said she had a day off so she asked Yukinoshita to call her if she needed anything. I really hope she does not say anything unnecessary.

I walked over to the vice chair's seat and sat down there with my stuff. Sagami who was sitting next to me gave me a smile and we all started working. Everyone was glancing at me from time to time and talking to each other about something which I could not hear but I heard my name come up many times. Once the work for today was done, I joined Hikigaya as we were heading back.

"Hey, are you and Yukinoshita dating?" he said.

"Where did you get that idea from?"

"I heard people talking about that. The transfer student dating out ice queen. You know you are the target of execution for many boys."

"She is that popular?"

"She is. Even talking to her for more than five minutes is considered as an achievement for the boys."

"Is that so?"

I don't know how many five minutes have I talked to her for. Hikigaya looked at me from time to time but finally said it.

"Also you two come to school together don't you? That was also seconding to the theory that you two are dating. Yukinoshita has never gotten this close to anyone."

"We just live next door."

"What is this? A romantic comedy from a light novel?"

"It will be for you and Yuigahama."

As I brought up her name, he became really red. Just what happened between them? We bumped into Kawasaki on the way and she told me that Keika wanted me to come to their home again. I told her that I had committee work but I will come after all that is taken care of.

I and Hikigaya had little talks and we finally separated our ways. I walked back home but I decided to take a small detour. I entered a café and sat down ordering some food. I was just interesting in this thing called a frappe. I saw it in the menu in the café in the Keyaki mall but never tried it. I was sitting quietly sipping on my drink and my peace was soon destroyed by the person who sat in front of me.

"Yahoo Kiyotaka-kun." (Ichinose? What are you doing here?)

"Hello."

"Aren't you happy seeing me?"

"Why is that?"

Haruno pouted as she crossed her hands. What is she even doing here? She tried to talk to me and getting to know about my past but I have dealt with her types too. I just brushed off the topic completely and left the place. First Yukinoshita knows about the white room and now Haruno wants to know about my past. This is getting really troublesome now.

Author note- I think we will stop it there. I just realized that soon we will be completed with season one story so I am really happy that I am completing something. Hope you like this chapter and my improvised version. If you don't then feel free to trash on this masochist (I will love that). Also sorry if the chapter was small.

The festival preparations are finally over but...

After that little meeting with Haruno, I was on my way back to my home. As I entered the building, I felt two presence behind me. I knew who they were so I entered the elevator and was waiting for them to enter. They entered the elevator and we went to the top floor. After disembarking the elevator, I went into my apartment while they both were standing outside Yukinoshita's.

"Aren't you coming too Ayanon?" asked Yuigahama with a worried expression on his face.

"I bet he will go when we will leave. He wants to be alone with Yukinoshita," said Hikigaya with a grin on his face.

"And you are here with Yuigahama. Same vibes."

Saying that I entered the room and what greeted me was a big hug from the woman. I have not closed the door yet so the visitors outside were all witnessing it. Including the person who they came to visit. I closed the door before they could say anything. This was so embarrassing. I took off my shoes, went inside and freshen up. I had a lot of work today and Hikigaya had to do all his work all by himself. He had so much work load that I allowed him to take a 10 minute break. Even if we are kind of struggling with time, we cannot let the people working being overstressed or that would decrease the efficiency. That is why there are breaks even in big jobs at multinational company.

I sat down on the couch because I was a bit tired and the woman was making something in the kitchen. It smelled really good even from here. After five minutes, she entered with two cups in her hands of coffee and placed one in front of me. She has been working from home lately so she is here all the time and by all the time I do mean all the time. Even the groceries are bought by people who work for her while she is on the laptop the entire day. It is bad for her eyes.

She kept staring at me the entire time as I was peacefully drinking my coffee. I wonder what is for dinner today. I feel like eating a pizza.

"Kiyotaka," she said in a sweet voice as I was cut from my train of thoughts. I looked at her urging her to continue.

"You see, I have known you since you were born. Well, I am your mother so that make sense. I know how you behave with others, interact with people, what you like to eat-"

"Get to the point already."

"How rude. Mommy is trying to have a nice talk with you and you just cut me off. Hmph." She pouted while folding her hands and looking away. And I am the child here.

"Sorry, but can you please get to the point. I am a little tired today."

"Oh, is that so? Then would you like a lap pillow from mommy?" she asked tapping her laps and before I could say anything, she pulled my head and made me lay on her laps. If not for the forceful method, it was quite enjoyable. I feel a strange but good feeling in my ear for some reason. I looked up seeing she was cleaning it and I did not say anything because it felt good.

"So, what I wanted to ask. Aren't you taking a lot of care of Yukino-chan?" she asked me.

"When did you start calling her Yukino-chan?"

"Oh, when I was taking care of her, we had a long talk and got pretty close so I started calling her Yukino-chan. I used to talk to her a lot when she was little. She is such a nice kid. Also, I found out that she knows about the white room by mistake and she knows about you being the masterpiece."

"Is that so?"

"You seem really calm about it. Don't you?"

"I can't do much about that if she knows. I can only make her shut her mouth which I know she won't tell anyone."

"Now, why are you taking care of her so much? It is not normal to see you go that far for someone."

"I did go way far than that for Kei. Though it was because I promised her that I will protect her if she needs my help."

"Then what about Yukino-chan."

"She has a lot of potential and I curious to see what she can achieve with this. That is the only reason for it."

"There is more to it. Isn't it? No matter how great you are, you cannot defeat a mother's intuition about their child. Keep that in mind Kiyotaka."

Now this makes me think, which is more powerful? A woman's intuition or a mother's intuition? Or this person in front of me with both of them?

"I told her that I loved her."

As I said that, her hand stopped. I looked up seeing she was staring at me. Then suddenly, a big smile appeared on her face as she hugged me making me grasp for dear air-chan. No air-chan, please don't leave me. Come back. (Making air-chan official? Yes.)

"I am so happy to see you finally fell in love Kiyotaka," she said while rubbing her cheek against mine. Good thing that these apartments were sound proof so they won't be disturbed by her shouting.

"Calm down. I have not fallen in love with her. I told her that because I was curious about it. I do want to fall in love and Yukinoshita just sounded as the best candidate for that job"

I did say I love her so I must at least act like that. That is the way I am so I apologized to Yukinoshita in my mind when I lied to her. I have gotten a little soft too but does this do anything to my abilities? That was a question I wanted to know answers of. Does having emotions really make me weak or it was just the mentality which was put in my brain during the time I was in the white room?

"I see. It would be nice. You falling in love with my best friend's daughter. She is already in for it," she said.

"Hmm?"

"You don't know? Yukinoshita-san and I are friends from way back."

"I see."

"Okay, then you want dinner? I made pizza."

Wait, did she read my mind before? I nodded and sat on the table to eat the pizza and not going to lie. It was really good. After that, I completed my work and mailed it to Yukinoshita. She replied with an okay and also told me that Yuigahama was helping her with her work while Hikigaya went back. After that, I went to sleep and the woman once again was in my bed using me like a pillow.

The next day, we were in the committee room deciding the slogan for the cultural festival. There is not much I can do in it so I decided to close my eyes and just listen to what is going on.

"So, we will start today's committee meeting and as per Shiromeguri-senpai's suggestion, we will be deciding on the slogan for the cultural festival."

I heard the chair moving and sound of marker moving on the white board, I opened my eyes to see what the slogan they decided on. It was written, "Friendship, effort, victory". Even if we think hypothetically, this slogan was way off. It is also very common just writing some aspiring words. I searched on the internet how the slogans are properly written. It said that a slogan should be catchy, easy to roll of the tongue and also meaning full. This did not fit the criteria of that.

Some more were written but the same thing could be said about them. One of them looked like I could tell who wrote it. At last someone's slogan was "one for all". If I am not wrong, professor used to say that all the time. Said it was some sort of quirk. (My sister started watching MHA so I remembered this)

"Oh, I like this one! "One for all." I like these kinds of idea," said Hayama who was sitting to the left of me to which Hikigaya let out an amused sound and had a grin on his face. Let's see where this will go.

"Yeah, looks like you get it. Simple enough."

"Huh?"

"Force one person to be the scapegoat and eliminate them. "One for all." You do it often?"

"Hikigaya..."

What he said was not wrong about this committee. He referred to the problem of making one person do all the work while the others enjoy. One for all. Even if one person will do the work, the entire group will be praised and appreciated for "their" effort. The same was going on here. Even if Yukinoshita would be the one who is doing the entire work like Hayama said earlier, they all will be given the credit for it. Even though this practice was put to an end but that is how it went for most of the time. He wanted to emphasize on that.

Everyone was looking at Hikigaya with disgusted eyes but Sagami who understood what he meant looked a little sad. Yukinoshita urged her to continue with the ideas and she stood up.

"We came up with this one," she walked near the board and started writing.

"Friendship. Helping one another: a cultural festival"

"Ew," said Hikigaya while extending the last word making an unamused look on his face.

Sagami looked a little irritated by it. I quickly pinched Hikigaya's hand as he stiffened up and looked at me. I just moved my face from left to right telling him not to do it right now. She already understood her mistake so he can cut it but he did not listen.

"Excuse me, is there a problem?" asked Sagami.

"No, not really."

I cannot stop him right now.

"Sure you don't have a comment to make?"

"No, not really."

"Oh, good. If you do, then come up with one yourself."

"Then..."

He started scribbling on his notebook and I quickly peeked to see what he was writing. I understood what it meant and was not happy with that. I immediately held his hand stopping it. He looked at me with an exasperated look on his face but I kept staring at him. After a little while, he tch'ed and did not show it. Everyone who witnessed the event which was happening let out a sigh of relief.

"Kiyotaka-kun, why did you stop him? Hikigaya-kun is really interesting so let's hear what he thought about," said Haruno.

I stayed silent and did not say anything. Hikigaya as if realizing why I stopped him put his notebook back in his bag and kept staring at Haruno. My darted towards Yukinoshita telling her to end this meeting already.

"Sagami-san, let's end the meeting for today. We won't have any good suggestions."

"Huh? But-"

"Wasting a day on this would be a foolish decision. All committee members will think of slogans and present them tomorrow. If all members work on all remaining days, we can recover the lost time. Right?" Yukinoshita said while turning towards Sagami.

"Y-yeah right. Okay, everyone. We will meet tomorrow again. Thank you for your hard work!"

As she said that, the sounds of chairs was heard all around the room as everyone were getting ready to leave. Hayama left almost immediately but I decided to stay here with Hikigaya who did not move an inch. Soon, the room was almost empty and only me, Hikigaya and Hiratsuka-sensei were in the room. Haruno wanted to stay but sensei was able to get her out. She approached Hikigaya and said,

"That was quite an entertaining act you put up Hikigaya."

"I was just telling about her own mistakes. What is wrong about that?" he said.

"The way you did. Even if you made her realize that, you would be antagonized. Did you think how people who care about you would feel if that happens? I don't want my students to be antagonized like that due to their own actions. You may have good will in your actions but you cannot forget about the consequences."

"She is right Hikigaya, if I hadn't stopped you then. You would have officially been the most hated person in the committee. Sometimes helping someone can also include in forcefully letting them fail and then help them up. They become stronger after that. Sagami's case has been taken care off so you don't have to do this. It does do the other thing you are trying but the way you did it was not the best option even for you no matter how you think," I said.

"So are you telling me to change? Change the way I do things? Change the way I think? If people do not like that, it does not matter to me. I am a loner so that does not matter."

"That may be true in high school but what about when you start working? The working society is even more brutal to the level you cannot think about. This world is darker than it looks. To the point that you can lose your own humanity due to it. Remember that."

With that, I stood up and walked out of the room. As I turned around the corner, I felt a tug on my sleeve. I looked over finding Yukinoshita standing near the door and was tugging onto my shirt sleeve. I stopped and faced her.

"Didn't you go back alone?" I asked her.

"I am surprised that you can ask that question after seeing me right in front of you. Do you hallucinate about me?"

"I don't know. It is the normal way a person would ask someone why there are here when they were not supposed to be."

"But you are not a normal person Ayanokouji-kun."

"That is right," said Hikigaya as he was walking out of the door.

"Why do you say that? I am a perfectly normal person," I said.

"You are not going to be deceiving us with that lie," they said in unison. Whenever it is something about me being different, why do their brain works the same?

"Now, now. Cut him some slack," said Hiratsuka-sensei coming to my rescue. I will take you to dinner one time sensei. I owe you this.

"Anyway, I am on my way so you two can talk. Don't forget to invite me in the wedding," said Hikigaya as he and Hiratsuka-sensei were walking away from us. I looked over at Yukinoshita who was blushing hearing that. I decided to tease her a little.

"Do you want that?"

"H-huh? Want what?"

"What Hikigaya said."

"Huh? Shut up. We are in high school. We need to be worrying about our studies now."

I started walking and Yukinoshita joined me and we were going back home. She was still blushing and I decided to tease her one last time about this topic to see what she will do. I lowered my head and whispered in her ear,

"I won't mind that at all Yukinoshita."

She stopped as her eyes were widened and she covered her face with her bag. This was really fun that I was tempted to tease her again but decided against it. I continued on my way as moments later, I felt her presence right behind me. We were in front of the building and we both entered the elevator. As we disembarked, I quickly walked towards my apartment but as soon as my hand was on the door knob, I felt a warm sensation from behind. I looked down seeing a pair of hand were locked in front of my chest and I could feel Yukinoshita's chest pressing against me. Wait, there is something there.

She was hugging me from behind and I did not move. We stayed like this for some more time until she broke the embrace and was really embarrassed by what she did. I looked at her and she suddenly moved near my ear and whispered,

"Neither would I."

Saying that, she went to her apartment door and quickly entered it and slammed the door shut. That was something new which happened. Honestly, I did not expect that at all. I opened the door and the woman pounced on me like a dog does when he seeing his food. I quickly dodged it and grabbed her arm to prevent her from falling. Even though I do not feel any affection for her yet, she is still the person who gave birth to me.

As I pulled her up, she went in for another hug and I decided it was useless to stop her so I let her do it. She really likes doing this for some reason. I decided to ask her finally.

"Why do you always jump on me and hug me when I enter?"

"Why did you dodge the first one?" she asked in an irritated tone.

"Will you answer the question?"

"I am the mother here so answer me first."

What kind of logic is it? I admitted defeat and entered the living room. I decided to sit down on the couch and close my eyes. Now that I think about it, what will I do in the future? There was the thing of taking over that man and become the director of the white room but he said that I no longer have anything to do with the white room. I can start a company, that man has more than enough money for that or like the woman suggested, I could take over her job and she does not do anything suspicious. Her company's job is to work in the background and make up for all the problems that have been created in the country. It sounds very vague so I cannot think of that as a proper plan.

I felt a warm sensation. No, this is not warm. This is hot. I opened my eyes seeing the woman who placed my coffee cup next to my cheek. I took it and drank it quietly. I am living a normal school life at the moment. I cannot say that if I tell this to my old self, they would not believe me because I would easily. I knew I had the ability to do that. The reason I was being brought back to the white room by the other representatives of the white room was that I alone was enough to stop it for once and for all but if it no longer concerns me so I can just leave it be.

The night went as usual and I found myself in the committee room again. The slogan was finally decided. It was, "Sing a song." I had no idea why they decided on that so I just agreed to it. We are already working really hard to meet the deadline so further discussion upon this topic will only cause negative effects.

"This will be the slogan for this year's cultural festival. Sagami-san, we should advertise using this slogan immediately," said Yukinoshita.

"Oh, okay. Advertising, please."

As she said that, there were lot of sounds coming from the room. The advertising committee was on full energy and the work was going good. I was doing my job along with Hikigaya which started stacking a lot. Good thing I am here or I am sure he would be stressed out by the amount of work. Out of nowhere, a hand was placed on my and Hikigaya's head. We looked over seeing Haruno standing there.

"Hey you two, working hard?" she said.

"As you can see," said Hikigaya while her hand did not move from our head. I continued working trying to not indulge in their conversation.

"What about you Kiyotaka-kun?"

"I am working. Hard or not, it depends on the person who is viewing us working. So, how about you tell us?"

"So blunt as always. You really hurt me Kiyotaka-kun. Doesn't look like you are working that hard," she said leaning over to our screens and her hand was on my shoulder for support. I decided to ignore it and continue while Hikigaya's eyes were crying for help. I sighed.

"Aren't you doing something? You cannot talk about working hard if you yourself aren't doing anything Haruno."

"Kiyotaka-kun, do you hate me?"

"No. I am neutral towards you."

More like I don't care but I cannot word it out. (Sorry if there are any Haruno fans reading this. It is for the plot, this is only for now)

She stood straight up and held her index finger up.

"Time for a quiz. What makes a group come together like nothing other?"

"A cold hearted tyrant," said Hikigaya.

"An enemy," I said as they both looked at me.

"Your reasoning?" they both asked.

"Hate is something which is manifested in a person's heart and it can be easier to hate. If there is a common enemy, then the group will come together to eradicate it."

"Bingo. You are a quick one Kiyotaka-kun. Well, the enemy here is kind of wimpy."

That was the other thing Hikigaya was trying to achieve. If he becomes the common enemy of everyone, they will be actually working together even if to just go against Hikigaya.

"Oh, shut up."

"The villain was not wimpy here. It was because someone stopped him from coming out. If he got serious, he could be the craziest villain you can think of," I said.

We all looked at Yukinoshita who was looking at some finished papers and she looked at us and started approaching us with a big bundle of paper. Her expression were not pleasant at all. She walked towards us and placed the papers in front of us.

"Assistant and helper, concentrate on your work please," she said while crossing her arms.

"Document that the slogan has been determined. Also, record the proceedings. Inform all the participants of the slogan as well. Oh, and upload all group participation requests to the server as well. Finish it all today."

"This is how you pay back huh?" I muttered under my breath but Yukinoshita heard that.

"Yes, it is. So can you please do so?" she said with an evil smile on her face. Note to self, don't tease her too much.

"Need my help? Kiyotaka-kun pointed out that I am not doing anything while I can," said Haruno.

"No, you will just get in the way. Go home."

"How mean! Yukino-chan, you are so mean. Well, I am bored so I will help out anyway."

Hikigaya was looking at both of them seeing the awkward scene unfold before his own two dead fish rotten eyes. Yukinoshita sighs and said,

"We need to review finances again. Could you do that?"

"Okay, Kiyotaka-kun, let's go."

"Where are you taking him? He has the work I told him to do. Ask someone else to help."

"Eh? This is so unfair Yukino-chan."

"Just go already."

"Okay."

After that, we completed our job and Hikigaya was so exhausted that he fainted on his chair. I am not going to pick him up so I just threw some water on his face. He quickly moved and wiped his face.

"What was that for?"

"It's time to go. Are you planning to stay here forever?"

I stood up and went home. I had small talks with Yukinoshita but that was all. She was still embarrassed about yesterday so she did not say much. I opened the door and surprisingly, there was no jumping hug. I entered the house and saw the woman sitting on the couch. She did not move. I went over to her and tapped her shoulder to bring her back to life. She looked at me with a worried look on her face.

"Kiyotaka," her voice was weak. Did she catch a cold? I touched her head seeing that it was all fine.

"What happened?"

"I just got a call from your father."

"And."

"He said that there was another branch of white room in America. New York. You went there once when you were a little kid. When they heard that you are no longer a part of the program, they started going against the idea. They had a talk with your father and they reached to a conclusion."

"Which is?"

"That you will go there and compete with the fourth generation there. They are of the same age. If you beat all of them, they will allow you to enjoy your freedom and the white room will never go after you ever again. Your father had a lot of power but only in Japan so he could not deny them but was able to get here. They originally asked to put you back to white room but he somehow got to this."

"I see. So, when do we have to leave?"

She showed me the tickets on her phone and I checked the date. This is the same date as the cultural festival. So, I cannot attend my first ever cultural festival? It does not matter. What matters is my freedom and anyone who tries taking it from me will be crushed.

Author note- Did not expect that did you? Well, I am a weird guy so you cannot blame me for that. I hope you like this chapter and especially this twist. I just hope that I do not destroy the story with this idea. It was polled to be my best work so thank you all for that. I brought me more motivation to write better chapters for you guys so I will work harder. I am masochist so that is also an excuse to torture myself with work. Jane.

Japan's best vs America's best

There was still one day to the festival and also the flight was today at 6:00 PM. The woman had already packed all the stuff and I woke a little more early than usual. I decided to up my work out because if the students were from the fourth generation, they were by no mean weak. Underestimating your opponent is one of the most fatal mistake you can do. I woke up at 5:00 AM and it was still dark outside but I did not care about that.

I got in my track suit and head to the park near the building. There were still some things here and there in the apartment so I could not work out there. I decided to do the exercise that I had in the white room. Five hundred pushups, pullup, crunches, sit-up and 30km of running. This was just the warmup but it was more than enough because I am sure I was by no mean weaker than how I had been in the white room. I worked out every day. I was done by 7:00 AM. It took me exactly two hours to complete as I decided to do three sets of all the exercise. My body was completely hot because of all the exercise. I even broke some sweat. I then went back to the apartment.

On reaching my floor, the elevator door opened and the figure of Yukinoshita in her track suit came in front of me. I slightly nodded my head in greeting and quickly started walking to the apartment but a voice stopped me.

"Done already?" she said.

"Why does it matter?"

"I was just curious. I saw you exercise from my window and you were looking more serious than usual. I was a little worried so I decided to check on you. Did something happen Ayanokouji-kun?"

"Even if something happened Yukinoshita, you shouldn't bother with that. It will be better that way."

"But-"

"Yukinoshita," I cut her in the middle. This time my voice had weight to it which she did realize and retracted a little.

"I will not be able to attend the school festival tomorrow. I hope you guys can manage without me."

She had a confused expression on her face as she could not understand the reason for it.

"But why?"

"I have to be somewhere tomorrow and it's very important. I hope you understand."

With that I stepped away and before Yukinoshita could utter another word, the elevator door closed and I made my way to the apartment and the woman had woken up now. I made my way to the bathroom and took a shower then changed into my uniform. By the time I came out, the apartment was completely cleaned and there was breakfast on the table. She made some eggs and toasted bread along with that.

As I sat down, she placed a yellow can in front of me. Having no idea what this was, I looked at its cover and it read, "Max Coffee." I opened it up and took a sip and was really sweet to the level that Haruka would love drinking it. If this thing was in our school, I could see Haruka hoarding it in her room.

While eating the breakfast, I could see the woman glancing at me again and again.

"What is it?" I decided to ask.

"I am just sorry that you have to go back to that place because of us. We promised you that you will never go back there but these circumstances were not known. I am really sorry Kiyotaka."

"It does not matter anymore. All I have to do is defeat everyone there. That won't be a problem."

"Why is that?"

"I don't know about this world but if we are only talking about the white room... No one is better than me."

I was finished with my breakfast and I still had some time to go to school but I decided to leave anyway. I exited the apartment though the woman wanted me to stay and skip school but that is something I had never done. My full attendance was something I was really proud off and I want to keep it the same way even here. I closed the door and was not greeted by the figure of Yukinoshita. It was as if I was looking forward to it.

I rode the elevator and was now out on the streets. I checked the time and it was still 7:45 PM. I could have rested for fifteen minutes but decided to not do that and reach the school. Before I knew it, I was in the school building and was now making way to my class. Today was a half day due to the school festival so the school will be getting over at 11:50 AM today.

I entered the class and found most of the stuff of the play was set in one corner and the chairs were back to normal. I sat at my seat and took out my book. It was titled "Undefeated" by Ernest Hemingway. I had already read this book but that was a long time ago and had the certain urge to read it again after seeing it on the shelf. The class was empty at the moment and I did not sense anyone near. It was a peaceful to read my book and so I did that.

After ten minutes or so, the class started to fill with students and among them, I noticed the figure of Hikigaya who was approaching me. He sat at the seat next to me because the girl who sits there comes really late. He was staring at me but did not said something. What is this with people only staring at me? He did not say anything to me but started fiddling on his phone. Soon, my phone vibrated and he walked away from me and sat back to his seat where his dream came true and he was greeted by Totsuka. I took out my phone and looked at the message and then closed the phone. He is right about that but it does not work in this situation but still Hikigaya, you really are interesting.

I looked at the rotten eyes boy talking to Totsuka with a smile on his face and I was back to reading the book. I sensed someone near the door but decided to ignore her. I just hope no one calls her out but fate is really cruel with me.

"Yukinoshita-san, what are you doing here?" said one girl as everyone's eyes fell on the black haired girl who had an uneasy expression on her face. I stood up and walked towards her.

Then as I left the classroom, I grabbed her hand and dragged her with me. She showed zero resistance and just followed me. I looked back at her and her expression was not being seen as she had her head down. I think there is no other way. When we were finally alone in the hallway, I quickly pulled her in an embrace. There was no other way to let her feel relieved. A strong human contact or the human warmth what Sakanayagi likes to call it is really helpful in situation like this.

Yukinoshita did not resist at all and just stood there burying her face in my chest. I lightly stroke her hair and then slowly broke the embrace but now she was the one who hugged me back. After a minute, she was finally away from me and was looking down.

"It will take a day or two till I come back. When I do, I want you all to tell me what all happened in the festival. Even though I did not experience it on my own, I can at least know about it."

She looked up to me smiling saying,

"Yes."

We finally got back to our respective classes. There was no committee meeting so I head back home but Hikigaya stopped me and took me to a café he wanted to go. What was the reason for bringing me along? I don't know.

"This café is awesome, they even have the max coffee in a café coffee form. You really need to try it out," he said.

"Why am I here?"

"Totsuka was not available so I had to make do with you."

So I was a replacement for Totsuka. I sighed and we ordered our drinks. Hikigaya ordered the max coffee and I ordered a café mocha. I was a bit curious about this so I did order it and not going to lie, it's really good. When we got back to our seats, Hikigaya finally came to the main topic.

"I heard that you are not going to attend the festival."

"Who did you even hear it from? You have no friends."

"Hey, I have Totsuka and then there is you too."

"So the school's biggest loner finally thought me as his friend I am really happy."

I gestured as if I was lifting my imaginary hat on my head and he just shrugged it off with an annoyed expression.

"I got a message from Yuigahama, she was told by Yukinoshita that you told her that you will not be attending the festival and she also asked a little assistance from her. Mind explaining what is going on Ayanokouji? You work so hard for this. It was almost as if you were looking forward to it so suddenly not attending will have a really big reason. Am I right?"

I sighed.

"Yes you are but there is nothing to worry about. The festival will go smoothly even without me and if something goes wrong, I think I can depend on you to take care of that."

"What do you mean by "think"? My thinking and analyzing skills are way better than an average human."

"That is why I am saying but don't do anything reckless."

With this, we then quietly slipped our drinks while talking about other stuff and he asked me if I had any porno magazine to which I asked what they were and he was dumb fold by my answer. I had no idea what they were, maybe ask internet-sensei later about that.

After that I was back in the apartment and getting ready for the flight today. The woman called for the driver and we made our way towards the car, while entering, I saw Yukinoshita peering down from her window. Soon, we were at the airport and I found that man there. He quickly ran up to me and hugged me. As usual, he was accompanied by his body guards. This would have been the first time I have ever been hugged by him.

After some waiting, we were taken to the private jet which was getting ready to takeoff to America. The flight from Japan to U.S.A was 13 hours long and I rested the entire time. That man and the woman were talking to each other and most talks were about me. Don't talk about me behind my back.

Soon we were at our destination, we disembarked the plane and it was still really early in the morning. At the airport, we found some men who showed their identity to that man and escorted us to a limousine. We got in and were told that the trip would take about four hours. This was my second time being here but that time it was the bright afternoon. Right now, it was practically night for most of the people but the city was still shining bright in the night. It did not show on my face but I was really excited about it.

The car took a right turn and started ascending on the mountain. After two more hours of going around with the woman almost vomiting, we saw a big facility in the middle of nowhere. It looked just like the Japanese branch. The vehicle was permitted inside and we were now being escorted inside the facility. It looked exactly the same as it did in the Japanese branch. These white walls felt somewhat nostalgic to me as I looked at them. After walking through many doors, we were greeted by a man in suit. He had blonde hair and blue eyes. With a big smile on his face, he greeted us in English.

"Mr. Ayanokouji, I see that you have come," he said.

"I would not break my promise Mr. Robert. This right here is-"

"Ahh, Ayanokouji Kiyotaka. The masterpiece of the Japanese branch of the white room. You have grown up a lot since the last time I saw you."

"Nice to see you again Mr. Robert," I said in a monotone voice.

I was then escorted to a room where I was given the white cloths to change in. I quickly did that and I saw a camera in the corner of the room. Then I was told to go to the room where the people I was supposed to compete against were present. I entered the room and what greeted me was the sight of a boy with short blonde hair and emerald green eyes. I could tell by just looking that he was not someone a normal person would want to mess with. What was interesting was that there was no other person expect from him in the room.

He looked at me and smirked.

"I finally get to meet you Ayanokouji Kiyotaka. I am Alex Jones, the person who is going to defeat you. You have no idea how long have I waited to destroy you."

I looked at him and just nodded before standing in front of him. I did not expect them to send only one person to compete against me. I thought that there were multiple people but that does not matter. Whoever tries to steal my freedom will suffer by my own hands. I finally decided to show my true eyes. My true color, the person who I am. The demon created by the white room. Seeing my eyes, he laughed out loudly.

"Hahaha, finally! This was what I have been waiting for. The darkness in your eyes is so fascinating, so beautiful and so dreadful. I can't wait to see those eyes cowering in fear."

I did not say anything and looked at him with disinterested look on my face. Finally, someone said from the speaker.

"Now let's start the competition from the fourth generation of Japan and that of U.S.A. You would be given different tasks to complete and if Ayanokouji Kiyotaka lost even in one of them, he would have to come back to the white room. Please walk over to the track for your first task."

By the way it was phrased meant that like me, he was also the sole survivor of the fourth generation. I was told that the same curriculum was followed in both of the braches. If one generation's curriculum was made harder in a branch, the same was done to the other one. There was no exception meaning that the person I am going to compete against went through the same training as me. This is going to be more interesting than I thought.

We made our way to the track, during that time, I was told that Alex was the US masterpiece of the white room so it is a clash between two monsters.

As we reached there, three instructor were already there with a timer, board and a gun (The one which is used for races not an actual one). We were told to take our places and wait for further instructions. I was in the middle lane and Alex was in the inner most lane so he was standing behind me for the start. We were allowed to overtake the person's lane if you get in front of them so this meant if he gets in front of me, he can even try slowing me down by just running in front of me. If, he falls by mistake, he can even hurt me along with himself. There were so many things I needed to take care off.

"Okay, you will running fifteen laps of this track. Overtaking is allowed but deliberately hurting the other is not."

He did say that but it does not matter if it looked like someone was hurt deliberately. The stakes were high, which was my freedom and my enemy is quite formidable. I decided not to hold back at all. I have never ran at my full potential ever in my life so this is probably the first time.

"On your marks. Get set. GO!"

The gunshot was heard and I and Alex kicked the ground into a sprint. I ran and I could feel the cold wind of the mountains moving across my face. My clothes were flowing behind me with the speed I was running at. Alex was not far off behind me, there was about five meters distance between us. Before I knew it, the first two laps were over and I was on the third one. At that time, I felt Alex getting closer to me. I did not slow down, rather he was getting faster and was now running side by side to me. Even while running, he was talking to me.

"How did you like it? Your little lead that you had in the first two laps? Too bad for you but I am going to go even faster."

Saying that, he went even faster and was now in front of me. By in front, I meant really in front of me. I could see his back facing me as I was running. He got even faster and now there was a five meter gap between me and him but this time I was the one who was behind him. He taunted me by laughing loudly. He was really not someone I can underestimate.

The same distance was maintained between us for the next eight laps and he said he could feel the victory just coming to kiss him.

But you forgot something Alex...

Never celebrate too early.

I decided to finally speed up and was now running even faster. It did not take me long to overtake him and then the gap between just increased as the second passed. After I finished, I was given a bottle and a towel to wipe off my sweat. I think it was a customary since I was not still sweating. Alex was still on his last lap and soon completed it in 30 seconds. He ran the last 400 meters in 34 seconds already breaking the world record but it was not enough to beat me.

I sat down and was chugging the drink down, it was an energy drink that we used to get after every one of the tasks. Alex stood in front of me with an annoyed expression on his face. He clicked his tongue and then walked the other way. We were given five minutes to rest and in the middle of that I could hear Alex mumbling to himself. By the look of it, I think he was never beaten before that. I am glad to be your first. (That came out so wrong)

We were then taken to another room which was enclosed with glass on top and there was clear water there. The next task was swimming. It was an Olympic sized pool and we just had to go to the other end and then come back the same way. There were designated lanes in the pools so there is not much chance of foul play. I and Alex went to change and because it was the white room, we just had to change in front of each other. For some reason, there was another girl in the room changing. I did not ask anything at all about her and quickly made my way back to the pool.

While the last task was based on speed and stamina, this only accounted in speed. I looked at Alex and could see the delicate details of his muscles. He was well built, he had a better body than even Kouenji. We were then met by the instructors with the same equipment. The one standing in the middle stepped forward and started speaking.

"As you were told, this task is a simple swimming race. You have to go to the other end and come back. You can use any style you want. There are no restrictions on it. Now, get in place."

We stood at our places. I was in the second lane from the right side while Alex was five lanes away from me. We both got in our positions to start. At the sound of the gunshot, we both jumped into the clear water. All that I can see at the moment was what was ahead of me. My vision was getting blurry for some reason and I could not see properly. That slowed me down a little. I now realized that my drink was drugged and it was because of that. I felt Alex already reaching the other end and was now on his way back. It took me a few more seconds but I somehow got out of its affect.

My resistance to drugs is rather high. This happened when the white room was shut down and I was training with Matsuo, who was my butler. At that time, my food was always drugged and the doze was rather high which used to make it really hard for me to complete my training properly initially. Matsuo taught me a way to not be bothered by them even if I get a high doze so now it only takes me few seconds to get rid of that.

With having myself back, I sped up to my full speed and before I knew, my hand touched the other side and I changed my direction as my legs kicked the wall which gave me some extra speed. Alex was already halfway through so I swam at my full speed. Just how bad do they want me back in the white room that they would go for such cheap tricks? I increased my speed to my full potential and my hand touched the wall in front of me which I had to strengthen so that I do not crash into the wall head first.

I came out of the water and saw Alex do the same. I had no idea who won this one so i waited for them to announce the result. They looked at a tablet which had the entire video slowed down. So the results were so close that they needed to use that. They were looking at the tablet with a smile which soon faded away and all the colors were washed away from their faces. The instructor in the middle coughed a bit and then said,

"The winner of this task is Ayanokouji Kiyotaka. You are given ten minutes to change and rest. Take these energy drinks. These will help you in the next task."

The instructors handed both of us a bottle of the drink. I took the bottle, unscrewed it and drained it in the pool. I could see the blue liquid mixing with the clear water dirtying it a bit. They had a shocked expression on their face. Before anyone could say anything, I moved and grabbed the instructor by his throat and lifted him up. The other instructors who were about to stop me stopped moving as they saw the look in my eyes. I finally let go of the instructor as he fell down gasping for air. I looked at him as if he was an ant and said in a cold voice,

"If you try taking my freedom away from me, that is the last thing you would do in this world."

I went to the room and changed. Alex, who soon realized what they were trying to do looked really pissed off. He wanted to defeat me when I am in perfect shape not when I am being affected by some drug. I sat down and calmed myself down before we were called for the next task.

We walked into an equipment room. It was full of weights, body weight and even pull up bars which gave me an idea of what we are going to be doing. This time, there were two instructors standing there. They were the same as the ones in the swimming task but without the one who I almost chocked to death. I and Alex stood side by side as they spoke.

"This task is a time trial. You are to do fifty bench presses of 100kg, 300 pushups, 300 pullups, 300 crunches and 300 squats. You will be timed so try to do it as fast as possible."

From what I have realized they are doing, I decided to go at my full potential from here on out. There were five tasks that will be given and three are already done. I am sure that one of them would be an academic one and one will be confrontation because these are the two things which were taken care of the most in the white room. Most of time in training was either fighting or studying. What we had done now was the warmup for the fourth generation. This was also nothing much but adding bench press before the pullups and pushups will be putting a lot of load on the arms.

I and Alex got on the bench press waiting for the cue. He looked at me and said,

"I am going to win this time for sure."

"Okay...and...start!"

At the cue, we both picked up the weight and started bench pressing. It has been a while since I last picked up a weight this heavy but I did not have any problem lifting it and did it with great ease. I started speeding up with each bench press and soon I reached fifty. As soon as I did, I placed it back and head for the pushups. I did not bother seeing how Alex was doing and started with my pushups.

When I reached fifty, I heard hurried footsteps which quickly stopped and I saw Alex also started with his pushups. I did not have any problem at all but I still had no desire of speeding down at all because I don't know if they do decide to do something skeptical again. Once done with the pushups, I went to the pullups bars and started with those. My hands still felt like they would not start hurting anytime soon. I decided not to see what Alex is doing anymore and continue with my task. I reached three hundred in five minutes. Once done with that, I ran towards the area for crunches and squats which were also done in six minutes each.

I was done and then decided to sit down there only. Alex was doing his squats and then finished in twenty seconds after me. Seeing that I had won again, he clicked his tongue and I did not wait for results because I knew that I had won and there was no changing it. I heard Alex's angry grunts from the room as I made my way to the hallway for lunch.

I reached there and looked at the clock placed there and it was still an hour left for lunch and I was told that I was free to go around anywhere I wanted to in that time. I was walking through the white walled facilities and going down the memory lane at the same time. While walking, the subtle and calming sound of the violin was heard from a room. Out of curiosity, I went closer and soon recognized the piece being played.

It was Paganini's Caprice No.24 which is also considered as the hardest violin piece to be ever written. It was being played to such perfection that even world class violinist would be amazed by it. I peeked in seeing the blonde haired boy playing the piece on the violin standing near a big piano. I stood there listening to it and by the time he got to the fourth part of it, he noticed my presence and opened his eyes looking at me and stopped instantly.

"What are you doing here?" he said in an annoyed tone.

"I was roaming around and heard you playing the violin so I was little curious. You certainly got skills."

I said skills instead of talent for a reason. Even with talent, reaching that level of skill was really hard. He looked at me with an exasperated look on his face and his demeanor showed hostility towards me. I slowly walked towards him. He got in his fighting stance still holding the violin but I was not here for that. I sat at the piano and opened the cover.

I placed my hands on the keys. It has been a long while since I last played piano so I decided to play the moonlight sonata by Beethoven. From the first movement till the third. Alex just stood there listening as I was playing the keys and was completely mesmerized by the piece I was playing. The first movement is played delicately and letting every note reverb in the room with the sustain pedal released at the change of every chord. The second movement starts with the same delicateness we have in the first one and soon the score turns into a fortepiano (In music theory, it's a dynamic. Google search to know what it means). The dynamics increase as the piece continues and by the time I reach the third movement, that is when the dynamics change and it sounds more intense. While the first movement feels sad, the third movement feels like a rage of a person.

I finished with the piece and sat there a little while just staring at the keys which I just touched. It was now time for lunch and I and Alex head out to the cafeteria. We were given our portions of lunch which had a balanced diet and I noticed Alex's lunch had some more pills with it which I did not receive at all. We had our lunch and were on standby for half an hours.

After those half hours passed, we were taken to a classroom for our second last task, it was a written test of all the subjects that were taught in the white room. The paper was given to us and I quickly scanned us. These were without a doubt masters level questions but I did not find a single question I could not answer. As I saw the questions, the answers were building at the back of my brain at the same time. Alex also looked really confident after seeing the paper.

"This is your second last task. As you have seen the papers, I don't think there is any further explanation. If by chance, both of you scored the same, the person who completed first will be declared as the winner. Okay then, start!"

As the cue was given, I picked up the pen and started answering the questions. I also heard the pen moving smoothly across the paper on Alex's side. I did not want to waste time so I was solving it quickly. I was sure that I am going to score full in this paper but there was also a possibility that Alex also does the same so I did not want to slow down at all. Within forty five minute, I solved the entire paper of 500 marks. I gave it to the instructor and Alex also did the same after ten seconds. I can now tell why he was considered as the masterpiece here.

The papers were given to be graded and we had to wait for some time. Alex stood up and walked towards me,

"So, how did it go for you Ayanokouji?" he asked. I saw his eyes which were red and he was acting a bit weird. I could also tell it from the way he was talking to me at the moment. Even from a distance, I could tell that those drugs were for enhancing your brain power and also making your body numb so you do not feel anything even if you are stabbed.

"I will win no matter what," I said as he laughed crazily. The drug was having a really bad effect on him. I saw his muscles contracting again and again as his body moved. He got back to his seat as the instructors entered and wrote the result on the board.

Ayanokouji Kiyotaka- 500/500: 45 minutes

Alex Jones- 500/500:45 minutes 10 seconds

Winner: Ayanokouji Kiyotaka

As he saw the result, he was ragged and punched the table really hard almost breaking it in two. His hand was bleeding but he did not feel anything. He glared at me crazily and left the room and I also went along with him. Our last task would be half an hour from now.

I knew what it was seeing the drugs and also because it was kind of obvious, I decided to take a quick nap. My eyes closed and I found myself back in my apartment. Everyone was in here, all the people I had acquainted well in ANHS and even the school here in Chiba. They were having a lot of fun and were telling me to join them. We eat, sang and had a lot of fun reminding me what freedom felt like. I saw Kei and Yukinoshita looking at me from a distance with a smile on their face. The two people I was using to learn about love just looked at me. I walked towards them and they both jumped and hugged me tightly that I fell down. The human warmth felt really good, I wanted it to go on like this.

I was broken from my sleep from the sound chiming in the hallway and I stood up walking to the room where I am supposed to fight Alex. He was already here and there was no one else here and his eyes were really red. It looked like he was given more of those drugs maybe in the drinks they gave us which I did not take because I could not risk to lose myself in the middle of a fight. Even if there was a little opening, we were told in the white room to attack ferociously it does not matter if you kill the person in the process.

"Last task is confrontation. You are to fight your opponent and do not stop until we tell you too."

I showed my true eyes again and got ready in a fighting stance and Alex did the same. His smile was crazy and also full of rage for some reason.

"Fight!"

As soon as the que was given, Alex, who was waiting for it kicked off the ground throwing a kick aiming at my head with an insane speed. He was going for the kill straight. I dodged it as he used the momentum to swing another kick aiming at my leg to make lose my balance but I stepped back as he missed it. His crazy eyes now had rage in them as well.

"What! You scared Ayanokouji? You don't know how much I want to destroy you. I can't ever forgive you for what you have done!" he shouted.

What I have done? What have I done to him all the way here in U.S.A? He aimed a punch at my solar plexus but I knew that was fake, as I dodged it, he quickly stepped forward trying to throw me down off the ground. I pushed his hand away but he aimed a sharp roundhouse kick with his heel missing my face by a few inches.

"Because of you even our generation's difficulty was increased along with yours. The demonic fourth generation was not only in Japan but also here. My friends died because of you. Because of you, I was the only one left in this generation while people I cared about died. IT'S ALL YOU FAULT"

He shouted the last part and his kicks and punches were getting faster and stronger. I kept on dodging them and blocking them. He jumped to kick me leaving a little opening but I knew that was a trap so rather, I finally grabbed his leg and started crushing it.

CRACK

I broke his leg but he did not feel a thing and continued attacking but because of the broken leg it got sloppier. I decided to speak,

"Alex, I never care about anything at all. If your friends or people you cared about died means nothing to me at all. Winning is all that matter and it does not matter how I do it. Also, you are naïve to think you can beat because...

You are weak."

As I said that, I grabbed his arm and pulled it towards me and I quickly punched his face. He fell down on his feet and now had a broken nose. He stood up and approached me but I could tell his movement got really sloppy. I quickly went behind him and hit his neck bursting his cervical nerve. He fell down and as soon as he did, a siren was heard indicating the match was over. The instructors went over to Alex to check his nerve and pulse but I already knew.

He was dead.

I walked away from there and was called to the director's office. I changed back into my cloths and head to the office. As soon as I did, the woman pounced at me holding me in a tight hug. I just had a fight and you are hugging me right now. Can't I have some air-chan first?

"I am so glad you are okay Kiyotaka," she said as she had tears in her eyes. I heard clapping sounds and we all looked at Mr. Robert.

"Marvelous performance Kiyotaka. You truly are worth of being called the white room's masterpiece. You did kill our masterpiece but that only meant he was a defective product. Thanks to you, we could understand that. We got so much important data which we have sent to all the current and old Japanese investors of the white room."

As he said "old Japanese investors", the woman panicked knowing that there was someone who shouldn't have gotten this.

"Why the old investors Mr. Robert?" she asked.

"They stopped investing because they did not see any results and what you got right here are results. It is harder to get new investors these days so we can grab the old investors back. Aren't I right Mr. Ayanokouji?"

"Yes, that is certainly true. Asuna, why are you having that look on your face?" that man asked.

"Did you send it to the Yukinoshita's?" her question was directed to Mr. Robert.

If this went there, it would be really troublesome. With data, they even send video proof and I literally killed a person in one of those. If Yukinoshita saw this, it would be really irritating.

"Of course. Indeed, they were the biggest investors so they were the first ones who got it and they even received the data as we speak."

My peaceful life will no longer be peaceful again. Why is fate so cruel to me?

Author note- So this is the chapter I think you guys were kind of hyped for. This masochist author loves his readers so much that I made this chapter the longest one. Please tell me if you liked this because I worked a lot on this one so I really hope you do. Also what do you think about the twist? Do tell me. I got myself the first two volumes of Oregairu light novel because I had not received my birthday gift yet and this is what I ordered. I am really happy and just wanted to tell you. Jane.

The answer

The cultural festival went without much problem except for Sagami-san messing up her speech but no one blamed her. The entire blame went to Hikigaya-kun who heroically became the villain. Yuigahama-san was really sad for him and to my surprise, hugged him tightly. I was watching from a distance but I could clearly see him blushing really hard.

"Hikigaya, you need to know that when you hurt yourself, even the people close to you get hurt. Look at Yuigahama," said Hiratsuka-sensei.

"Hikki, you are such a big idiot!" she shouted.

"What are you talking about? I did what Ayanokouji told me to," he said.

"And what exactly did he told you? I doubt that he will tell you to do this," I joined in the conversation.

"He told me to take care if something happens."

"And..."

"Told me not to be too reckless."

I knew it. There is no way he would say something so vague. Later, we all went back to our home but I was unconsciously waiting for Ayanokouji-kun. Just what has gotten into me? I said so many embarrassing things to him. Ahh, I can just die of embarrassment. By the way, I wanted to ask when he comes back but did not text him because if he said it was something important to deal with then it was really important to the level he had to even sacrifice attending his first ever festival. I might as well just hold him captive for an entire day.

I reached my apartment and my eyes darted at the door next to me which was locked. I entered my apartment and quickly took a shower and changed my cloths. Upon checking the time, it was 6:00 PM at the moment so I decided to make dinner. I have been living alone for quite some time so I knew how to cook well. For some reason, there was a voice in the back of my head telling me something big is happening to him. I don't know when or how it happened but I can be sure that I had fallen in love with Ayanokouji-kun. Was it when he said those words to me? Or was it when he started working more than usual because I had a lot of load or was it when he hugged me?

The warmth I felt at the time was incomparable to anything. It was the most pleasant feeling in the world. (Honestly, hugs feel good) I did not feel like letting go but at some point, my conscious kicked in and I had to let go of him. I looked at the pot and the dinner was ready. I had already prepared some rice in advance. I decided not to have any fancy dinner so I only had miso soup with rice and fish. Sounds like a simple dinner but I really enjoyed eating it. I sat down at the dining table to have dinner and as soon as I was about to start, the phone rang.

I saw the contact and it was my mother's. I had no idea why she called me so I picked up.

"Yes, mother," I said in a respectable voice.

"Yukino," she was sounding a little worried.

"Yes, what is it?"

"Be really careful around Ayanokouji Kiyotaka."

As I heard those words, my mind went blank. I could not understand what was going on so I went silent but mother's voice brought me back.

"What do you mean?"

"I am about to send you some videos. Watch it if you want to but I highly recommend against."

With that, she cut the call and very big file was mailed to by mother. It had seven video files in it. I did not know if I should watch it. The way mother was telling me not to then I don't think I should. I had never heard her like this. She was sounding really worried about me. The last time I heard her like this was when I almost got hit by a fast moving vehicle when I was only five year old. Not having the enough courage to click on them, I placed the phone back and ate my dinner.

The entire time, I was glancing at the phone the entire time while eating. I could not think straight. When I finished eating, I was doing the dishes and was now on the couch just staring at the phone. I had no idea what to do and did not touch.

Ting

I heard a notification appear on it. It was a mail from Ayanokouji-kun, I told him to mail me when he was finished with a work but I never expected him to actually mail me. I looked at the content of the mail and it read.

"Everything has been taken care of here so I am mailing because you told me to though I did not know the actual reason for it. I could have surprised you."

I smile formed on my face and as soon as I realized it, I blushed really hard. I have never been the one who fell in love with anyone and now that I feel it, it is a really unfair feeling. You can get the best and worst experiences in your life due to this feeling. It also harbors hate along with it. If you love someone then that you also will be hating someone else. The human heart is not capable of loving everyone but can easily hate everyone. Hate was the most that I had felt in my entire life. People think because we are better at everything then we will also be loved but that only happens in fairy tales and life can never be a fairy tale, it is not a work of fiction.

The truth is more ruthless which people do not want to accept at all. They are fed lies so they reach the top but when you actually do reach the top, you will only feel one thing. Emptiness. That was what I felt. Among the students I came across, no one was better than me so I had no reason to strive higher, I just felt empty and drifted away from others. Now there is someone I know who is ten, no, million times better than me at everything. Honestly, I felt happy when I realized that I that I could meet someone my age who is so much better than me.

I did not feel envious of him. Why should I? He changed so much for me in such a short span and I cannot thanks him enough. The emptiness I felt before was no longer and finally I can strive to be even better. I am no more trying to chase my sister's shadow nor my mother. I am now going to get better so I can be worthy enough to stand alongside Ayanokouji-kun.

I finally got the courage and I picked up the phone and played the videos. In the video were Ayanokouji-kun and another boy named Alex. The speaker announced about the competition between the white room masterpieces of japan and America. Huh? He is back to the white room? But why? The person in the speaker further continued explaining what has to happen and that is if Ayanokouji-kun lose in any one of the task, he has to go back to white room. But if I had been messaged by Ayanokouji-kun meant that he defeated him at everything.

I quickly went through the first four videos. Some interesting things happened in them. First task was a race around the track. As soon as both of them started running, I could tell the incredible speed they were running at. They both quickly completed the first lap, I checked the time stamp and they broke the world record by eight seconds. Later Alex was the one in lead but in the last five laps, Ayanokouji sped up and his speed was incredible. I quickly counted how long it took him to take one lap which came out to be twenty eight seconds. I was dumb fold by the results.

The next test was a swimming race and for some reason, Ayanokouji-kun stopped mid-way while his opponent was now on the way back. As soon as he regained his consciousness, he swam really fast. The results were so close that the end was shown at a really close distance with slowing down the video. Ayanokouji-kun won by a mere of 169 milliseconds. Taking into account, that he stopped mid-way, it was amazing. They were given a drink which he drained in the pool. He then proceeded to grab the person with the paper and pad by his neck and I heard him say,

"If you try taking my freedom away from me, that is the last thing you would do in this world."

His voice was so cold that even seeing the video from here sent chill down my spine. I saw his eyes and they were nothing like what I had seen. It made me realize that what I saw was just a mere fragment which scared me. I don't know what will happen if I ever see those eyes in shi real life. The question was why did he drain the drink? I saw he got the same drink before. He stopped mid-way, didn't he? Does that mean he was drugged? That can be a possibility.

The next task was had some really hard exercise but they were not as much as I saw him workout. He completed it without even breaking a sweat in a whim. The speed at which he had done those were terrifying in a way and I could not see any sign of him being out of breath or something even after all that. He was then seen roaming around after which he ended up in a room with a piano and was playing a piece which I recognized. It was Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata.

He played it with just delicateness and preciseness that even some world level players could not do. I saw a relaxed expression on his face when he was playing the piece as if really enjoying it which I think he did. The next task was a written paper of 500 marks and when I saw the content of the paper, I was dumb fold by it. I did not even understand a single question in it. It looked like bunch of letters and numbers stuffed together on the sheet. For once in my life, I felt dumb.

The video skipped to the result and Ayanokouji-kun got 500 marks in it. Okay, WHAT?! I did not even understand what was in the paper and he completed it in 45 minutes and also got full marks at that? Just how amazing is he? He was then given a little break for half an hour and he took a nap. His face looked so peaceful that any girl looking at him would be hypnotized by the look of it. There was a certain feeling in me to gently stoke his hair. I don't know what he puts in his hair but they look really soft.

The last task was confrontation and I noticed them saying to not stop unless they tell them to. I did not know what that meant, I could hear both of their voice. Alex was attacking fiercely and Ayanokouji-kun was just dodging it easily. Alex's eyes looked really red for some reason and his muscles were twitching when he was moving. He shouted,

"What! You scared Ayanokouji? You don't know how much I want to destroy you. I can't ever forgive you for what you have done!"

I did not know what they meant but his eyes were full of rage while Ayanokouji-kun was looking at him with an uninterested look on his face with the darkness in his eyes.

"Because of you even our generation's difficulty was increased along with yours. The demonic fourth generation was not only in Japan but also here. My friends died because of you. Because of you, I was the only one left in this generation while people I cared about died. IT'S ALL YOU FAULT" Alex shouted.

I hear that they demonic fourth year was the hardest but I was never told what happened to the people who failed in it. So they died? I had no idea about that but doesn't that meant that Ayanokouji-kun has seen people dying in front of him and that too kids of his age? It would be more than enough to affect a person on a mental level. Alex threw a flying kick and Ayanokouji-kun finally caught it. Then a loud cracking sound was heard and he let go of the leg. You could tell by seeing even if you have no idea about how human body functions that he just crushed his leg.

"Alex, I never care about anything at all. If your friends or people you cared about died means nothing to me at all. Winning is all that matter and it does not matter how I do it. Also, you are naïve to think you can beat because...

You are weak."

The last words were said with utter supremacy and in the next couple of seconds, Alex was lying on the floor motion less. Ayanokouji-kun did not even bother looking back and just went away and the speaker announced.

"Alex Jones is dead. Ayanokouji Kiyotaka is the winner of this task."

As I heard those words, the phone slipped from my hand. He just said dead, right? Meaning that Ayanokouji-kun killed him. He just killed a person like it was nothing and walked away. There was no sympathy in his eyes but only had a disinterested look on his face. Looking at these videos had made him even more of a mystery. Even if I can see just how capable he is, there is still a question lingering in my mind. Just who is he?

A person who does not feel anything and only cares about winning. Who is so talented but never brags about it and calls himself "normal". The more I try knowing about him, the more of a mystery he had become to me. I had no idea what I should be doing now. I looked at the clock and it was still really early to sleep but I needed some rest. Tomorrow was a day off and Ayanokouji-kun will be coming back. For some reason, I don't feel like I will be able to feel him. I had another feeling for him inside me at the moment.

Fear.

I was now scared of him. Once mother said that he was a monster but I never knew why she said that but I can now tell easily what she meant. If you show this to anyone, he will be only called a monster. A heartless monster who does not care about anything. A monster who can devour you at any time without even realizing it and when you do, it is already too late. (That sounds like I am describing Hornykouji)

That night, I could not sleep at all. All I could think about was Ayanokouji-kun. This happened to me sometimes before this but this one was different. It was no positive feelings I could feel towards him. I felt scared of him, thinking how I will face him and should I stop being near him. While pondering on that, I finally reached a sound conclusion.

The next day after only three hour of sleep, I woke up. I yawned really a little too much while stretching my arms and I saw I had some bags under my eyes. I was still sleep. I felt as if I did not sleep more, I would just fall over. I walked over to the bathroom and freshened up. I looked at the clock and my eyes widened. I thought I had only three hours of sleep then how is it 10:00 AM in the morning? The doorbell rang and I yelped like a cat. I held Pan-san in my hand for some reason and went over to open the door. I did not even check in the camera who it was because I felt lazy and opened my door.

"Who is it?" I asked still feeling little sleepy.

"You like those kind of stuff?" he said pointing at Pan-san which I quickly hid behind me.

"Why are you here at this time?" I asked trying to not make eye contact with him.

Before he could say anything, I closed the door and fell down there leaning at the door. I heard something being placed on the other side of the door and the sound of the door closing. I quickly opened the door and peeked through it. There was a box full of Choco chip cookies with a note on it. It read,

"I know you have seen it so I think it is better if you stay away from me. It's for your own good."

As I read the note, I took out one of the cookies and took a bite out of it. They were really good. A little too good for the awful feeling that I had in my heart. I just sat down there eating those cookies trying to make this awful feeling to go away but they were not working at all. I stood up and continued with my day like normal because I could not think of anything else.

This was not how I concluded things. This was not how I wanted it to be. Even if he is like this, I wanted to stay by his side. It did not matter because when I thought it from his perspective, I understood really easily why he did all this. He wanted to be free from the white room while they were trying to bring him back. This match was because of that maybe due to some agreement. Even after this, a person can never let go of something precious and Ayanokouji-kun was their most precious belonging. Their masterpiece. They would come after him again and again. They won't stop until they got what they wanted which is Ayanokouji-kun back in the white room.

It was lunch and I could not stop myself anymore. I quickly head out and then ring the bell on the door next to mine rapidly. The boy opened the door and as soon as I saw his face, I grabbed his arm and started dragging him to my room. He showed resistance and did not bulged at all. I looked at his face which showed no reaction. After some time just standing there, he sighed and followed me. We entered the apartment and I made him sit on the couch.

"I will make coffee for you, wait here," I said.

"Yukinoshita," he called my name but I did not reply.

I went in the kitchen and was making coffee for the both of us. It took me some while but when it was done, I quickly placed it on the table in front of him and he was just blankly staring at the coffee and looked at me.

"You wanted to know about the festival right? So listen. First we had the opening ceremony, many groups were performing on the stage. There was even a dance group dancing on a popular song..."
"Yukinoshita."

"Then Sagami-san messed up a little in the speech but we got through somehow. It was really hectic. We had to take care of all the groups. Even I performed in one of them. We had so much fun and the school was completely decorated..."

"Yukinoshita."

"And even..."

"Yukino."

He called my first name while standing up and looking down on me. I finally fell silent and looked at the floor. I did not know what expression I was making but I knew it was not a happy one. He started walking but I grabbed his sleeve. He looked back at me but I did not say anything at all.

"I think I told you something. You should not be bothering yourself with me. It's for your own good," he said.

Hearing that last line, I finally snapped at him.

"AND WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE TO TELL ME WHAT'S GOOD FOR ME?"

He remained silent and kept staring at me.

"It's for my own good? How is this possible Ayanokouji-kun that you are so amazing and still so dumb? You know almost everything but you can't just grasp what the other person is thinking. How they feel?"

He was still silent and kept staring at me. Blinking his eyes time to time listening to me. No, don't give me that expressionless look on your face.

"Looks like you don't know, do you? Then let me explain it to you so that you can understand. I don't want that. I don't want to leave your side. I know it is only little time since we met but I love you Ayanokouji-kun. Please don't do this to me."

My eyes were on the verge of tears. I moved forward grabbing his face. I pressed my lips against his but he did not react at all. He just kept standing there motionless. I finally moved away from him and his face did not show anything. He just kept staring at me.

"What were you expecting from doing this?" he asked.

I fell silent. I don't know what I was expecting from that. My body just moved on its own. I had no idea why I did it.

"Did you think that doing this will make me change my mind? Sorry but my heart is not something that can be manipulated by things like this Yukinoshita."

Saying that, he walked away. I fell on the ground crying like a little girl would. I didn't know falling in love would be this painful.

Ayanokouji's POV

I walked out of Yukinoshita's apartment leaving her crying there. I did not feel anything for her. No worries, no sympathy and no sadness. I just felt empty inside like nothing happened in the first place.

Coming back from that place made me realize something. It made me realize who and what I was. I was just a monster who from a facility. Just a ruthless demon who does not care at all what will be happening to others. That place answered my one question.

Can I become human?

No, I was never meant to be.

Author note- Yes, I ended this chapter and also this book in such an unexpected way but this was the ending I had in my mind. I don't know if you guys will like it or not but I only hope that you guys do like it. So, this was the final chapter of this book meaning that no more chapters on this one. I don't have much to say. Just that thanks to all of you who read this book. You guys are the best though I am doing this to you so also sorry. Jane.

Author note

So for all those who actually thought I would end the story in such a shitty way. Hahaha, jokes on you that is has not ended yet. I wanted some reaction out of you guys so I did this. Hope you guys don't mind that my sadist side overcame me.

Honestly guys. Don't tell me you actually thought I would end this story this way. If you did then, mission successful.

As a little apology, here are some photos from a Yukinoshita simp(I would never make her cry guys)

A question which still needs an answer

The reason why the last ending was not the actual one. First, it felt rushed to me and I hate rushed ending and was also not satisfied with that ending. Second, I cannot leave Yukino crying and end a story, I am a Yukino simp. Third, I wanted to do an April fool chapter even before April fool. Don't hate me for this guys, it was not you, it was me. Also, this chapter has lemons as I promised.

My breath fastened and became uneasy, tears fell down my eyes and my heart was aching. I had no idea it would hurt me so much, just because the person I fell in love with does not feel the same way. I know who he really is, I know how he really functions and yet I don't know anything about him. That is why I want to know more, I want to learn about him so that I can look him in the eyes and say.

"DON'T BE SO RUDE IN MY DREAMS!"

I woke up. I was still in my bed and was wearing my cat pajamas. It was something I found online and was really cute so I needed to buy it. My heart was still beating really fast and I felt my eyes and it had tears falling in them. Just because of a dre- no, it did not feel like a dream. It felt too real. The emotions I felt, the pain I felt. Was it a vision? I don't believe in some stuff but that was a thought which crossed my mind. I quickly checked the day and it still was the day of.

Today Ayanokouji-kun will be coming back. I quickly got out of bed and stretched.

"Nya."

This sound escaped from my mouth and I quickly covered it feeling a little embarrassed. I looked at the clock and it showed one it. Wait, but I slept at 1:00AM. Does that mean?

I quickly opened the curtains and it was bright sunlight which entered my eyes. Quickly covering it with my hands, I realized at it was 1:00PM in the afternoon. I quickly rushed to the bathroom to freshen up but did not change my cloths. I still had to confirm one thing. Walking towards the door, I reached the nob and gulped. Unlocking it, I opened the door and looked.

There was a box of cookies there with a note on top of it.

Seeing that, I covered my mouth thinking what I saw in the dream may happen. I picked up the box and opened the note. Before reading it, I gulped and then read the contents of the note. After doing so, a smile appeared on my face. What is with this guy? The note said,

"When I was coming back, we found a really good cookie store and they were really good. I had bought a box each for everyone and here is yours. I ringed the bell but you did not respond so I had to write this note.

-Ayanokouji Kiyotaka."

That smile soon converted into a small laugh. While standing there, I just kept laughing. He really is the most unpredictable and the weirdest guy I have known but I was still happy that my dream did not come true.

"You like cats so much that you bought that?"

Hearing that overly familiar voice, I instantly stopped. Looking at him, I grew red as a tomato. He saw me in these cloths. Ahh, this is so embarrassing. (I was tempted to write Ahh mou but I stopped myself) Sitting in the hallway couch was my neighbor, schoolmate, club member and the person I fell in love with, Ayanokouji-kun.

"W-w-w-why are you even in the hallway?" I asked him still embarrassed hiding myself behind the door.

"I wanted to surprise you and also someone was making a lot of mess in the house."

"Why are you so rude to me Kiyotaka?!" shouted Asuna-san as she burst the door open peeking her head out.

Seeing me, she smiled.

"Oh, hello Yukino-chan. That is a cute pajama you got there."

I hid the cat ears of the hood in embarrassment. Quickly closing the door, I put my back against it breathing heavily. Soon, I calmed down and the previous smile made its way back on my face. Picking out one cookie from the box, I took a bite of it. They were even better than the cookies that I had in the dream though they looked the same. They were so good that I was tempted to take another bite out of it and within seconds, the cookie was gone like magic. In short, I ate the entire thing because they were really good.

I placed the box in the kitchen and then took a shower and changed into my cloths. I also had promised Ayanokouji to tell him everything about the festival and I also had some questions which were lingering in my mind. I sat down on the couch with nothing else to do and my stomach growled like a beast. I was deep in my thoughts when the doorbell ringed and brought me back to this world. I came back in one piece.

I went up to the door and opened and what appeared in front of me was a woman with long black hair who lives next door. She saw me and then jumped and hugged me. She loves hugging people for some reason. When I once I asked her why she likes it, she said that the warmth and the sense of security you feel when you hug someone is incomparable. I was somehow able to get out of the hug and she was smiling there and standing in her business attire with a bag in her hand.

"Yukino-chan, you haven't made lunch yet?" she asked.

"No, I was about to make some."

"No need for that. I already made some food and I have to go for some business work so how about to have lunch at our house. Kiyotaka is still home so you two can get some alone time," she said with a sly smile. I can never predict what she is thinking.

Huh? A lunch at Ayanokouji-kun's house? Before I could answer, she pulled me hand locking the door and then shoving me in her apartment and slamming the door behind me. I could not process what happened because it happened so quickly. If it was not for the fact that I knew she did not have any ill intentions behind it, I am sure this could be counted as kidnapping.

I made my way inside the apartment and a sight that would have made any girl scream with excitement was before me. Ayanokouji-kun for some reason was shirtless and probably knowing that I was already inside, I caught him halfway when he was wearing one. I kept staring at the sight for seconds until it was hid under the shirt. He looked at me with his expressionless face and sighed.

"Lunch is ready but before that, would you like to have some lemonade?" he asked me and I just nodded.

He entered the kitchen and I could see him while sitting at the dining table. He picked up the lemon and cut it in half. (Here are you lemon guys) Then he did the same for the other one and soon, he made the lemonade. For some reason, he put some leaves in it but I did not question it. I have drank lemonade a lot of time but never homemade or the ones we get at a restaurant.

He came closer to me and placed the glass in front of me with a pot with sugar cubes in it. I picked one and added it to mine while he did not do so. We both drank our drinks in silence but it was not an awkward one, it was a peaceful one.

(Damn I paused for some time and read Nix's new fanfic and am now sad. Wtf should I do? Damn you Nix that took me two hours to read! Though it was amazing do read it. I will tag him in the AN)

After that he quickly set the table and brought out the lunch. It was nothing extravagant except for the fact it was a multi cuisine lunch we were having. How did Asuna-san even have the time to make all this? There was Chinese, French, Spanish, American and even Indian cuisine. Ayanokouji-kun saw the large amount of food that was made and sighed. He also saw a note and read it. I had no idea what was written in it but I heard him say,

"She did not need to do all this just because of that."

"Because of what?" I asked him.

He looked at me and stared right into my eyes as if his gaze was piercing through my soul. I did not move but stiffen up for a second but immediately regained my composure. The only other person whose gaze could do that to me was mother. Without me realizing, his face was really close to me.

"Yukinoshita," he called me out.

"Yes?"

"Did you see it?"

Does he mean that? I think he does and I just nodded my head. He then went back to his seat and started eating and so did I. the food was amazing and even though I subconsciously ate more than I was supposed to, so much food was left.

"Guess, you will be taking some home," he said.

After putting everything back and him cleaning the dishes, he came back and sat on the couch indicating me to also sit down but I decided to sit next to him. He did not object but kept staring at me.

"What is it?" I asked him.

"You are not scared? I killed a person."

He meant that? I simply shook my head and gave him a smile. His held his head in his hands. Did I do something?

"Um... Ayanokouji-kun, can I ask you something?"

He looked at me and nodded.

"As long as it is within my abilities to answer, feel free to."

"Okay, so will the white room come after you again?"

This was something I had to ask. In the dream, everything happened because there was a possibility that the white room would go after him again.

"How much do you know about the white room?" he asked me a question in return.

I did not expect this but I just have to answer what I know so there is no problem. I think.

"I know that you are from the white room and also you are their master piece. Ayanokouji Kiyotaka of the demonic fourth generation. I also know that your father owns the white room."

"I see. For the answer, no they won't come after me. If you saw the video then you know that the USA branch is also there. They made a deal with that man and that man does not make a deal without a contract so neither of the branches will come after me."

"I see. Then I am glad," I said with a smile.

"And why is that?"

"You wanted to know about the festival right?"

I tried to dodge the question and he did not say anything about him. Then I proceeded to tell him everything about the festival. Sagami-san disappearing and Hikigaya-kun turning the villain by helping Sagami-san. Hearing about Hikigaya-kun's incident, Ayanokouji-kun let out an exasperated sigh. I think it was exasperated.

"Even though I tell him not to be reckless. This guy is like a time bomb who will hurt himself. I think we need to do something about him too," he said.

He did not realize but subconsciously, he just stated that he will be helping Hikigaya-kun with his problems. I let out a little laugh and he looked at me. I thought about telling him how I feel but for some reason, I could not take the words out of my mouth.

They were just stuck there in place while I was struggling to bring them out, I could not do anything. He looked at me having an internal struggle and stretched out his hand and placed it on my head. His hand was strong but also gentle. I blushed heavily because of what he did and he did realize that.

"Why are you getting red? Do you have a fever Yukinoshita?" he said.

As he said that, I blushed even more and averted my gaze away from him. He removed his hand away from my head and then grabbed my chin making me face him yet again as he was staring into my soul.

"Aren't you scared Yukinoshita?" he said.

"Why should I be? You did it so that you don't have to back to that place right? I know you are amazingly strong and all that but that just adds to you charm."

As soon as I said that, I covered my mouth because of embarrassment. I raised my hand and lightly hit his chest. He distanced himself away from me and then looked up at the ceiling.

"Hey Yukinoshita."

"Yes?"

"Can I become human? Is a monster like me allowed to be human?"

Even if you look from and outsiders perspective or as someone close by, no one can ever guess the exact thoughts of a person. You can manipulate them with your words to make them feel in a particular way but there is nothing more to it. The person in front of me is someone who can never be manipulated or controlled so I can never guess how he think. I doubt if anyone could ever do that when he is the person in question. I kept staring at him while pondering over the question.

"I am sorry, it was a weird question to ask," he said. (Sasageyo!)

"No, it wasn't," I said immedietly as he looked at me.

"Yes, I believe you can become a human. It was a request from Hiratsuka-sensei and I will not stop until I get that done," I said with a big smile on his face.

Even though he is a monster, there is no way that a person cannot be changed. It is said that people change people he just need to write person to help him change. Am I that person? I don't but I can only hope as I stare at his face looking at the ceiling with a bored look on his face.

Author note- I know this chapter was small but I wanted this to be the part of the last chapter though I changed my mind and trolled you guys. I hope you like this. I know I still did not make Yukinoshita confess and all that but I want you to suffer with me while thinking just when tf she will confess. That is all for this chapter and the story of season one of the anime is also over with this.

As for the fanfic I talked about in the middle of the chapter, here is the author's tag@Nixtollo . Read it cuz its an awesome and well written one shot. Please do or Satan will invade your body and mind. No pressure.

Jane.
