Baloo vs Bagheera About Mowgli
It was a warm day in the middle of the jungles of India. A group consisting of a sloth bear, a panther, an orangutan and a man cub had come across a small community of animals. The three animals were trying to take the boy back to the man village. While in the company of a tiger and a hyena, three of the four were discussing about what to do next for their journey. They had hit a snag and the sloth bear and the panther were arguing about the best course of action. The sloth bear sighed and waved his paw, "Come on, Bagee. It's a great plan."
"It's utter nonsense, Baloo." Bagheera shook his head. Glancing to the man cub he said, "This plan is more likely to get Mowgli into great trouble."
"It might not hurt to try." The orangutan agreed with the Sloth Bear. Baloo crossed his arms ad gave the panther a smirk. But Bagheera was pretty set in his ways when he said, "We are not doing this…
"And that is final you three." The panther stood his ground on the matter. But Baloo just rolled his eyes when he pleaded, "Come on, Bagheera.
"It'll be fun!" He added with a slight nudge to the panther's side. Bagheera took a moment to process what just happened, looked to the Sloth Bear and questioned, "Did you just hit me?"
"Kind of." Baloo said and nudged him again. Bagheera glared at him, "Well, stop it."
"Why?" His friend teasingly asked before nudging him a little harder this time. Bagheera was starting to get mad when he said, "Because I don't like it."
Baloo poked Bagheera in the face a times before making the feline follow his claws when he waved them up and down. While the panther was a little lost in the movements, Baloo knocked into Bagheera with his side a little too hard. The blow sent the yelping panther crashing into a mud puddle. Bagheera started shaking a little as he lost his temper and rose his head to look at the one responsible. Louie had covered his eyes while saying, "Uh oh."
"Oops. Uh, sorry, Baggy. Guess I don't know my own strength." Baloo lightly chuckled. He moved over to the panther and offered, "Here, let me help you."
"No, no." Bagheera shook his head with a grin. He waited as Baloo reached out for him. Then at the right moment he said, "Let me help you!"
Quick as a flash, Bagheera grabbed the Sloth Bear's paw with his own and with a twist of his more lean body he threw the bear over his shoulder. Baloo grunted when he landed in the mud before him with a big splash and ended up getting covered in it. As the mud ran off his face, he looked to the panther with a glare. Bagheera was shaking his paws off as he moved to get out of the mud. But a growling Baloo came in from the side and knocked him off his paws again. The panther was once again covered in mud and he growled in irritation. Seeing that a fight was starting, Louie moved between the two and tried to resolve the matter by saying, "All right, all right. Violence ain't gonna do us any good here.
"Why don't we take a deep breath to calm down." The orangutan said and closed his eyes. But his advice was ignored when Baloo and Bagheera came charging at the other and ended up crashing into the primate. Louie yelped in surprise from being smooshed by the bear and the panther. When they backed away, the orangutan managed to move out of the way and let the two deal with the problem themselves. Louie moved to stand with Mowgli as they, the tiger and the hyena watched the brawl unfold. With a yowl, an infuriated Bagheera pounced on Baloo and knocked the bigger animal to the ground. Baloo glared up at the panther standing over him as Bagheera started slamming his head into the mud repeatedly. With a growl, the Sloth Bear managed to shove the Bagheera off of him before rising from the mud himself. The two circled each other as the Sloth Bear made swiping motions with his paws while Bagheera bared his fangs. With a yell, Bagheera rushed at the bear and leapt at Baloo. He knocked into the bear again and they landed against some branches. The panther tried to bite at him, but Baloo managed to keep him at bay with his bigger paws. The sloth bear tried shove Bagheera down in the mud, but the feline managed to slip out of the ursines' grasp before jumping onto his back. Bagheera tried to keep a grip on Baloo's back while Baloo tried to reach for him with his paws. Only by smooshing the panther against the tree was Bagheera's grip loosened and he fell off. Baloo managed to turn and grab the panther before twisting himself and throwing Bagheera across the mud pit. With another growl, Bagheera got up again before rushing forward once more. Baloo wasn't prepared for a third tackle by the feline and Bagheera knocked into the ursine once more. But by being within Baloo's arms, the bear managed to wrap Bagheera in a bear hug and lifted the big cat. Bagheera grunted when the top of his head hit a low branch. The panther retaliated by grabbing onto Baloo's head with his paws and smacking his forehead into the bigger animal's. Baloo dropped the panther and swayed a bit from the blow. Bagheera took advantage of this by moving around the bear and knocking him onto his belly. When Baloo fell down in the mud, Bagheera quickly acted by jumping onto his back, grasping the bear's legs with his paws and pulled them backwards. Baloo cried out and punched the ground in pain before quickly rolling onto his side. Bagheera was the one to yowl this time as he was flattened into the mud. More mud flew from the puddle as they continued to fight. From the side, Tabaki the Hyena laughed at the sight, "Now this is some mud wrestling!"
He was covered in some of the mud from the fighting. Next to him, the tiger, Shere Khan, chuckled from how they were acting and said, "Quite amusing."
But his mood changed when some of the mud landed on his face, chest and legs. Starting to wipe himself off he said, "I retract my previous statement."
Over with Mowgli and Louie, they both looked to each other and knew that this couldn't go on much longer. Baloo had Bagheera in a head lock when the panther gave the bear a light nip on the arm. Baloo released him and Bagheera followed by shoving the bear down with his paws and leaping at him again. But before Bagheera and Baloo could continue their fight, Mowgli walked up to them and said, "Couldn't we put it to a vote or something?"
His question made both his friends look to him. They waited and Mowgli said, "I think we should at least give Baloo's idea a try."
Bagheera's jaw dropped while Baloo could only grin. The bear pushed the panther off and was a little smug when he said, "See? The kid's with me?"
"Well, it doesn't work with me." Bagheera complained as he didn't think it a good idea. But he sighed when he didn't have much of a choice. He relented, "But very well."
"All right!" Baloo cheered and pumped a paw. Then waving for the three to follow he said, "Come on! We're burning daylight!"
While Mowgli and Louie immediately followed after him, Bagheera lagged for a moment. He was still unsure of this plan, but still decided to go after them for Mowgli's sake. He was just hoping that Baloo knew what he was getting them into.

Author's Note: When I thought of three friends who would be perfect for this, Baloo, Bagheera and Louie were who came to mind. Adding Mowgli, Shere Khan and Tabaki were later thoughts to the little story. I do have others in mind, but you'll just have to wait and see. I look forward to reading your reviews. Be sure to leave a comment either about if I've done something wrong or if you want something specifically to happen. See you next time.
