"Who do you think she is," Emily asked.
"I don't know," I said slowly as Alison walked back to our table. "But I want to try something."
I stood and walked toward the woman as she approached the elevator. I followed her inside and let the door shut behind us.
The woman turned, giving me a small smile. I smiled back, knowing I had to get her talking. I needed to hear her voice again.
"Are you just passing through?"
The woman's smile broadened. "Oh no," she said softly. "I think I'm going to stay awhile. I have some unfinished business here."
I nodded. "I'm Spencer."
The woman smiled. "My pleasure Spencer. I'm Cerise."
I nodded, frowning as the elevator stopped and Cerise got out. Cerise. I didn't know anyone with that name.
Sadly, I made my way back down to the others and explained what had happened.
"Cerise?" Alison questioned. "Do you know her?"
I shook my head. "I don't think so."
Emily sighed. "Something's not right about her."
And then, we got another message.
