Chapter 2 - Bat meets Sirens
Gotham City was once on the right track to becoming the former city of sin, crime, corruption, evil, and so on. Now it's back on that path and becoming a bit worse of late ever since news of Batman's death was going about. Criminals were back to their actions such as some rogues and the number of gangs would rise to take new territories now. And hell the GCPD, half of them are at war with each other due to the new commissioner disliking mask 'freaks'. The other half who were loyal to Gordon to the end, understand the true law and order system not this bullshit that the new commissioner wanted everyone to follow. Hell, that same new boss was even allowing and knowing about the dirty cops in the force, not doing anything to stop it. Also, vultures from the rich are even starting to pick at the city like a corps and get all of the meat for themselves.
That's all going to change and tonight it starts.
We see a pair of red eyes glowing before seeing the figure after a flash of lightning strikes outwards and we see what our rebellious young man was wearing now. He was covered head to toe with a pure black suit with military designs, designed for this deep war. His chest was armored with grey military pads and this black bat symbol on his chest with a silver utility belt across his chest, meant for different kinds of ammo & tools. Around his waist, we see a grey and silver utility belt with the right side having some small bags to hold his equipment, the left side having smallholders for more ammo & so on, and lastly, a pair of hip holsters to carry his costume pistols.
Lastly, was this black long cape that took the shape of bat-like wings when gliding, the head was covered in this black mask with pointed bat-like ears down to these blood-red eyes, and a battle faceguard that covered his mouth.
This was the Dark Knight - Batman or underneath, Jason Todd becoming the next Batman.
The New Batman was patrolling tonight, the few nights in Gotham, and was busy it seems. He was cleaning it up and doing it the right way, no killing unless it was the final option. He wanted to do better and avoid killing. So he had changed a number of bullets from live ammo down to impact, stun, taser, inferior, and so on. He wasn't going to have another psycho like the Joker run around and uncheck. Never again on that, he won't allow others to suffer from what that mad person do to him, Bruce or anyone else had gone through. Never again.
Batman shook his head and saw the storm was clearing it up, not raining but the lightning storm pass away and hummed in thought. He presses a button the said of his cowl, listening to any police radio that seems to be a quiet night, unlike last night. If not much tonight, he will rejoin Batgirl (Cassandra) for the last part of patrol and head back to the cave for some good rest to see what the next day was up that Alfred would bring up.
If Jason was going to be Batman, he was going to make sure Alfred and Cassandra stay in the loop at all times & don't work alone as per the agreement they had. He didn't mind but it seems like they were worried about him and want to push that vengeance thought down a bit. He sighed and wasn't sure if that was possible.
Then suddenly and to his surprise, the New Dark Knight saw in the night sky a white light shining and a massive bat symbol with its wings across the said light. The bat signal was turned on suddenly and after so long it seems, getting a lot of attention.
"That's...interesting," Jason thought, surprised by that and never thought he would see that again but knowing that Commissioner Kane didn't turn it on or anyone in the force, not her style.
Batman had a feeling someone turn that on and know he was close by. So either someone was calling him for a meeting, using the signal as a toy to mess with him, or a trap that Kane is using?
"Only one way to find out I guess," Batman mumbled out loud and took his grappling hook gun before making his way towards the GCPD building to see who flip the switch on himself.
The New Bat was able to make his way towards the building of the police force, lucky not to get the attention of any cops or such but soon frowned underneath his mask on seeing this was a close call. Though, he became surprised on was resting on top of the bat signal and waiting for him, like a cat wanting attention who was laying on top of the signal.
The said cat was actually a mature woman with short dark brown, almost black hair with a pale skin tone and also a pair of deep green eyes, looking almost like those of a cat, as well as having a very developed figure that could turn heads in a moment, with wide hips and yet a slim waist, long smooth legs and also a pair of very large breasts.
For her attire, we could see that she was wearing a very tight, black bodysuit, having high-heeled boots on her feet, her bodysuit hugging her figure perfectly, with black leather loves n her hands with claws on each one of them, claws that looked like those of a cat, with multiple zippers on her upper body, the middle one of the suit being zipped down, revealing her large bust to the world, and finally, for her head, a black leather cap, with ears similar to those of a cat along with a pair of large goggles.
This was Selina Kyle, famously or infamously known as one of the best thieves, Catwoman.
Jason was surprised by this but collected himself and think clearly as he didn't see a reason why Selina would do this to get his attention. Stealing diamonds or admitting to robbery, maybe but this was a different way it seems.
"Why are you still playing your games of cat and mouse, Catwoman?" Batman asked before pulling the switch off to avoid any more attention than it was brought onto him.
Catwoman giggled in response and said, "Bats are flying rats. It would be a shame that I can't play with the new one flying around. It's a good tradition after. The Cat to play with the Bat, from time to time."
Batman hummed at that and saw Catwoman putting her hand on the symbol's head but didn't do anything to it. He walked closer and saw the cat leaning down toward him.
"You are doing a pretty good job as the new bat. He would be impressed," Catwoman commented, not teasing but sounding like she meant that.
The new Bat didn't say anything, not believing it, and saw himself under that massive legend it seemed. Something might change that but first...
Someone try to walk behind the Bat's back which was a mistake on that person's part, as the said person found themselves on the floor with one hand behind the back and moaning while trying to escape the hold. The said person trying to sneak up behind Batman was a beautiful young woman with light blonde hair that was tied into a pair of pigtails, the right one showing to have light blue ends while the left one had light pink ends, and her whole skin was ghostly white, and sky blue eyes that held a playful look into them. Her figure was also one to envy, with long legs that had a smooth look to them, wide hips, and a large rear, ready to be touched, along with a slim waist eventually, we could see that she also had a pair of pretty large chest.
Her attire, a revealing attire a tight top that hugged her breast which had one-half black with a red star and the other half red with a black diamond, red & black fingerless gloves, and red & black underwear that hugged her hips & butt just as the top hugged her chest, red/black boots, and big red coat that often times pass her waist.
This was Harley Quinn, pretty much known as the clown princess of chaos and mischief while also part of a certain trio.
"Ow, ow, ow, ow! I just wanted to surprise you, New B-Man!" Harley moaned in disappointment and pain a bit.
Batman didn't respond and kind of let Harley go to see the last one of this trio coming out behind the sign. The last one was a mature beautiful woman that had green smooth skin with a developed body that could make any man and even other women lose themselves in their lust, long silk hair red as a rose, and glowing emerald eyes that were fitting with her skin and also even her hair and dark green lips, making her look like a humanoid rose.
She was dressed in a tight green corset made of vegetation, along with a pair of long gloves on her hands and also a pair of green strokings, all of them made of the same plants as her corset.
This was Poison Ivy, who has the ability to control nature and manipulate it to feel the said nature itself. She and the other two are Gotham Sirens.
Poison Ivy rolled her eyes at Harley, seeing her friend had to learn things a bit hard way. Kind of like all the time.
Catwoman smirked and said, "You are rougher than the previous one, it makes things more thrilling. Hehehe, I like it~."
Batman if he could, raised an eyebrow on that and didn't respond to that.
"You are no fun," Harley whined a bit, rubbering her wrist a bit.
"Hmm...why did you three flip the switch? It's not a toy and GCPD is not a fan of me at this moment," Batman said, wondering why they turn the signal on all of a sudden.
"Point but you don't have a cell phone or mail come to you," Catwoman pointed out.
"I try finding a bat to send you the letter but got no luck," Harley commented with a shrug of her shoulders.
Batman looked at Poison Ivy if the blonde was joking which got a shake of her head in response.
"She really did...bats are not good messenger birds," Poison Ivy informed.
"No, no they are not, they're different sources on that. So what brought this meeting about?" Batman asked, curious about the three beauties wanting a meeting with him and was on guard but not so much since this was a different as he felt the tension.
This caused the three mature women to share a look that seems to be cation and a bit unsure how to tell about at first. Harley rubbed the back of her head and played with her fingers while whistling.
"Welllll~, you remember mummy face?" Harley asked, starting it off.
Batman raised an eyebrow and tilted his head to the side on that. Mummy's face? Now why do that sound familair and only one rogue have...a mummy-like face. Or rather has bandages as the mask, part of the face to hide the twisted madness.
"Hush...I remember him," Batman can only say, recalling how that former friend of Bruce tried to use him to know about the old man's secrets and drugged him with a powerful fear gas at one point but was lucky he had a spar cure of it on stand by and battle through the said gas. He also knows what Tommy had done to Bruce and the mind games used as well.
"Yes, let's just say, we all have a history with Hush in more ways than one," Poison Ivy said, remembering how that bastard threaten her babies to work for him and so on.
"I read the files...and remember some of the events," Batman informed.
"Good but, let's just say, one of the main reasons why we, the Sirens formed was to get payback on Hush," Catwoman started, sounding serious.
"How touching but what stopped you three?" Batman asked, wondering about that as he could have gotten a report of some masked man being destroyed by claw marks, vine whips, and so on to whatever crazy thing Harley would do.
"Mummy's face has a new face!" Harley replied, doing the peak-bo with her hands over her face.
"Huh?" Batman was surprised by that he will admit and blinked a few times.
"It's true. Literary, Hush has a new face after the bandages were removed," Poison Ivy said, part of it with more to come.
"When I slice off Hush's mask with my claws, his bandages fall off and we saw his face. Or rather one that he crafted onto himself from killing six people he gloated about," Catwoman added with a frown, recalling how sick that bastard was when he told the trio about sick artwork he did.
The New Bat suddenly felt sick and angry, like he wasn't going to like the answer to Hush's new face he had created after killing six people.
"What is Hush's new face?" Batman asked, doing his best to not sound hesitant.
"Bruce...Hush was wearing Bruce Wayne's face," Catwoman replied, hesitating on her part, and was reasonable.
This caused Jason to be surprised and very angry about that. Not towards the Sirens but rather towards Tommy - Hush for taking Bruce's face like that. And the damage could happen if Tommy uses Bruce's identity in more ways than one.
"This is troubling news," Batman admitted, looking at the city from the rooftop of the police station and calming himself down from this sudden news.
The New Dark Knight knows that this Hush being Bruce can't be actually Bruce alive or brought back from the dead. It was something that the old man requested if he ever die, burn his body and do a number of tests to make sure it was his body. Jason can know it would have been hard on whoever had done those number of tests and so on. He can't rule in or rule out the possible clone of Bruce without DNA. So it's most likely that Tommy is back in Gotham and taking a different kind of revenge on his former friend with a different approach now.
"So yeah, you can see why this is a very difficult situation we find ourselves in," Poison Ivy said while growing a plant in her hand to gain good fresh air before placing it nearby the rooftop, for something to use in the future.
"I can tell," Batman said with a small grunt, agreeing that this was a difficult and different situation now that can become a big problem down the line soon.
"So how about we join and solve this little mystery as we will cross paths with each other soon? So why not join together on discovering the truth?" Catwoman suggested.
Batman thought carefully about that. Now, of course, a double cross might happen but not so much if he remembers from what Bruce told him and saw for himself. Selina rarely lied about something like this and can tell she was serious about this. Ivy and Harley, that's a bit neutral, being good reasons as well. But might help him in figuring out the truth of this imposter Bruce much faster and Jason didn't want anyone ruining the old man's image anymore.
"Very well, as long it's agreed. I will work on this case with you three," Batman said, giving his answers to that.
"Good, perfect~," Catwoman meowed on that last part.
Poison Ivy nodded her head but then saw Harley going to do something reckless again.
"That sounds perfect! I am liking this New B-Man more!" Harley happily shouted, hugging the bat but got flipped onto the floor and arm behind her back again.
"S-stop! What did I do this time?" Harley asked, nearly shouting in pain, and couldn't catch onto that sudden defense that the new bat did to her.
"That's a little too close for comfort, Harley. I can't simply trust you three all the sudden like that," Batman coldly stated, being a good reason for the other two, and they can't blame him but hopefully that changes.
Then suddenly Harley's face that went from pain changed to one of mischief and seductive as well.
"Really now...I am a new kind of jack in the box, you know, Bats? Filled with surprises~," Harley seductively said, looking upwards a bit and getting the bat a bit surprised too much more on what she does next.
Combining her acrobatics and gymnastics, Harley swing her legs to swipe across Batman's feet but missed and allowed her to get her arm back from the said bat. She then suddenly was able to bring her legs up and brought them down onto the shoulders of the young man, causing him to fall on top of her on the ground to join and locking her legs in to wrap up.
"If you want to learn to trust me? Well, I have some ideas for that~. We can grow a much more personal kind of bond and trust~," Harley seductively said as her hands rubbed the armored chest of the bat and liked how she feel as well.
Jason was shocked by this and was kind of glad his suit had some good armor to avoid showing some, well reaction shall we say. He was a bit blushing underneath his mask and cowl, very glad they can't see it.
"Whoa, I am impressed by your boldness, Harley," Catwoman commented, surprised and impressed by her fellow siren can do that, not expecting her to make that first move like that.
"Nah, it's pretty normal actually. I expected that from Harley," Poison Ivy said as she knew Harley better than anyone and her more unique ways of doing things. Like a lot.
This was a very unique partnership.
