Sometimes there's less discreet ways to live in secrecy. And hosting a cooking show isn't the worst thing that Yun could be doing with his time. Perhaps it would be better to be a doctor, out on the frontlines somewhere, but he's been doing his best to be there to support Ik-Su and keep him out of the public eye. The last thing they need is for the news to get struck by Priest predicts the future and what all that entails.
So, Yun makes a regular commute to the studio, and treats it as if it's just any other ordinary job. And while he gathers his ingredients and cleans up his work station and gets ready for airing, he has plenty of time to think, plenty of time to consider how to best help others and keep Ik-Su safe. There was a time when Yun couldn't afford a meal, and was laying half-starved out on the street after all. And he refused to let that keep happening to others and also refused to let that become a reality for Ik-Su either.
So, he was careful with how he did things. As he prepared the meal, not minding the cameras, as truly there were plenty of good sides to be had, and he wasn't the least interesting chef out there, not by a long shot, he still had plenty left to do. And as soon as the cameras were off, he was off the set, packing away the food and hitting the streets. His camera crew and other staff were under strict orders to not say a word about this, as he goes off to find the homeless, particularly the starving children and bring them a fine meal.
He's always wandering the city streets nowadays, left in search of those that truly needed his care and attention, that were crying out for a good meal, but also crying out for love and attention. Yun's not ignorant to the harshness of life, and before Ik-Su took him in, he'd never have had a chance to be a celebrity chef, let alone live long enough to even eat another meal. He doesn't want to leave these kids struggling and abandoned.
A little girl peeks out from an alleyway as Yun steps through, and when he pauses to offer her a bit of the food, she looks up at him with familiarity.
"Can you teach me too?" She looks maybe four or five, but appearance can be deceiving when regular meals are not common, though Yun stops by to bring her food often by this point, has seen her many times too, "Can you show me how to make food? There are other hungry ones."
She's determined, a hint of fire to her blue eyes, and Yun can't help smiling.
"I will." He'll take her back to Ik-Su's place, teach her to cook, and get her cleaned up. And maybe she'll be able to do great things too.
It seems like a lot to ask for, to bring someone new into a place where she'll have to keep a big secret, but he knows Ik-Su won't mind. And besides, if nothing else, she'll get to become a guest chef on his show one day, when she's a little older, more experienced in the kitchen, and less scrawny. And then, she'll be able to do the kinds of things he does.
Two is much better than one. And even on days, he doesn't go on air, he brings food by anyway. And an extra set of hands is helpful, especially when one has learned the area well by this point. She's had to live it, not just walk it. And Yun knows that too. He doesn't know this city like she does, and he can't, not from where he lives anyway.
He doesn't want to go back, to living and struggling to survive on the streets, and he doesn't want to make others stay where he once had to say before Ik-Su came along.
"You will?" Her eyes are so hopeful, that they begin to flood a little with tears, and he smiles back at her, relaxed without a camera crew, relaxed without needing to put on some kind of front.
"I will." And Yun knows somehow that great good will come out of something that seems so small.
