On Today's Episode: Nick and Bridget make like lightning bolts to confront Willard and put an end to his scheme, but let's just say that his "secret weapon" is quite... let's call it "unorthodox" compared to many other villains. Can Nick and Bridget conquer this final challenge to free their friends, or is this where the speed hater gets the last laugh?

Act 3: Time Trial Trouble

3:47 P.M. – Willard's Secret Lair

"You can't run forever, Willard!" Bridget shouted as she and Nick finally caught up to Willard, who had stopped just outside a large doorway. "Stop running for once in your life!"

"Yeah, I thought you hated speed," Nick taunted.

"Oh, but this is where things get interesting, don't they?" Willard proclaimed. "You've made it to the final challenge, and I really can't wait to see how you'll do."

Willard pressed a button on the keypad to open the door into a gigantic storage hangar-like area, and inside was...

"...wait, what the heck am I looking at?" Bridget asked.

Inside the hangar was a massive collection of obstacle course-like structures, all arranged in a way that gave both Nick and Bridget vibes of that Ninja Warrior show that they really liked to watch.

"That's right, Bridget, welcome to my obstacle course!" Willard exclaimed. "I designed it specifically for you, and if you ever want to see your friends again, you'll complete the entire course."

"You really think we're going to fall for your lies, Willard?!" Nick shouted, only for Bridget to gently nudge his hand down.

"I've got this," Bridget quipped.

"You sure, Bridget?" Nick wondered.

"Willard hasn't gotten the best of me yet," Bridget stated. "And I'm not about to let that streak be broken now."

Bridget took a couple steps towards the course. "One question, Willard," Bridget asked. "Am I allowed to use Sonic Mode for this?"

"But of course," Willard laughed. "I designed the course around you doing that."

Bridget nodded to herself, reaching for her brooch. "Very well, then," Bridget proclaimed. "Sonic Mode, online!"

After transforming, Bridget walked up to the "starting line", her mind already focused on the task at hand.

"Gotta start at just the right speed," Bridget stated to herself, falling back into her old training routines. "Account for wind resistance, maintain proper balance..."

After counting down from five in her mind and watching how some of the obstacles were moving, Bridget swiftly took off running, emerald electricity trailing behind her as she ran.

The first obstacle in her way appeared to be the Bridge of Blades, a long bridge with "blades" stacked in an X-formation that were spinning rapidly.

Waiting for the right moment, Bridget actually slowed down slightly before reaching the Bridge of Blades, then speeding up when they were all in the right position so that she sped right through them without getting tripped up.

Next up was what appeared to be the enemy of many Ninja Warrior contestants, the Warped Wall, only this one went a lot higher than any Warped Wall on the show did, extending about thirty feet into the air.

Not letting that deter her, Bridget focused herself and started running up the Warped Wall. As she ran up it, she noticed a Ring Slider at the very top, no doubt leading to the next obstacle.

Feeling like showing off a bit, when she reached the top of the Warped Wall, Bridget jumped off and did a stylish flip in midair before grabbing the Ring Slider and letting it carry her towards the next obstacle.

This obstacle resembled the Jumping Spider, one of the most recent new additions to the Ninja Warrior course, only the walls were much further apart than they were on the actual course.

Realizing that she needed some fancy footwork to clear this one, Bridget jumped on the trampoline to get some extra height before running along the left wall before eventually transitioning to the right while still running, finally dropping onto the landing platform and speeding off to the next obstacle.

This one looked like the Twelve Timbers, a series of twelve angled "steps" across a pool of water. Knowing she had to stay out of the water, Bridget lunged forward and jumped between each "step" swiftly before landing on the other side to face the next obstacle.

This obstacle resembled the Downhill Jump, the first obstacle of the second stage in recent competitions. Bridget jumped up the stairs before leaping onto a snowboard-like object that took her down a downward track before leaping off to grab a zipline above the track that took her to yet another obstacle.

"And it had to be you," Bridget groaned as she recognized what looked like a modified version of the infamous Salmon Ladder, one of Ninja Warrior's toughest new obstacles.

Bridget leaped from the zipline to grab the hanging bar, swinging as fast as she could between the bars, noting that this Salmon Ladder went horizontal, rather than vertical like on the show.

Bridget kept swinging between the bars, making sure to keep her momentum going as she finally reached the last bar and jumped up to another mat, dashing down the pathway towards what looked like two perpendicular zip-lines.

Recognizing the Chain Reaction, Bridget leaped to grab the first zip-line and slide down it until she hit the opposite wall, then kicked off of said wall to grab the other zipline and slide down to what appeared to be the final obstacle of the course.

Naturally, it resembled the large tower that anyone who made it to Ninja Warrior's Final Stage had to climb if they wanted to achieve total victory, only, like the Warped Wall, it was much taller than it was on the show, no doubt modified by Willard.

Bridget was feeling slightly exhausted from how much she'd been nonstop running for this, but she knew she couldn't stop now, jumping onto the inner ledge of the tower and running up it for dear life.

Eventually, Bridget made it to the top of the tower, which lit up to signify her victorious climb, and leaped into the air before activating her Jetpack Backpack to keep herself aloft so she could see Willard's reaction.

Just as expected, Willard was completely flabbergasted that Bridget had conquered his obstacle course. That gave Bridget the perfect opportunity to fly back down to ground level towards Willard.

When Bridget made it to the ground, she equipped a Metal Masher Boxing Glove and raised it into the air. Willard only had time to notice how brightly Bridget's Sonic Mode suit was glowing, no doubt due to all the kinetic energy she'd built up from running the obstacle course.

"SPECIAL DELIVERY!" Bridget shouted as she slammed her MMBG into the ground, unleashing all of that gathered kinetic energy in the form of a massive shockwave that toppled many of the obstacles and sent Willard careening backwards into one of the pools of water underneath the Bridge of Blades. After being blown back, Willard dropped a remote control that Nick swiftly destroyed.

"H-How did you do that?!" Willard shouted. "I expected you to run out of steam at least halfway through!"

"To be fair, Ninja Warrior can be pretty exhausting, especially in the Third Stage, and I felt a little exhausted near the end," Bridget admitted. "But you seriously underestimated what I'm capable of."

Nick raised his right hand to capture Willard in a psychic bubble. "Next time, don't make assumptions about what we can and can't do," Nick proclaimed. "That's the worst mistake any villain could make."

Nick and Bridget both high-fived each other as they made their way back to the prison room with their captive baddie, and sure enough, the cage was down due to Nick having destroyed the remote that controlled it.

"We were watching through the monitors on the wall," Alex proclaimed. "That was one heck of a performance, Bridget!"

"Yeah, you wiped the floor with that course!" Haruka exclaimed.

"Willard thought I couldn't shake it, but he thought wrong, like he always does," Bridget quipped. "Now let's get the heck on out of here, shall we?"

"I'm all for that!" Nozomi laughed.

"I've got that taken care of," Jerry replied as his visage popped up on Sam's X-Powder.

"Thanks, Jer," Alex quipped.

"Look up as well," Jerry added.

They did so to see the Skyskimmer there with Corina, Kikki, Renee, and Zoey aboard. They were also waving at them.

"Thanks, Jer," Sam, Clover, and Alex replied in unison.

10:48 A.M. – The Spies' Beach House
Saturday

"So, anyone for pizza for this party?" Dawn wondered.

"You know we've gotta get ham this time," Nozomi stated.

"Didn't we get ham last time?" Clover asked.

"Yeah, but I didn't get any of it thanks to a certain pirate out there!" Nozomi proclaimed.

"Hey, it's not my fault, you know!" May shot back.

"Bacon absolutely needs to be on this one, by the way," Nick quipped. "This new place actually does that, and I haven't had that on my pizza in forever, so..."

"As long as they don't have anchovies, I'm good," Haruka noted.

"Oh, here we go again with that..." Sam stated.

"CANNONBALL!" Zoey screamed as she landed in the pool.

That was when a pool wrestling match erupted between her and Renee.

"You're right about that, Bridget," Nick chuckled.

Nozomi, Blaine, and Clover were out getting pizza for everyone, while Mat, Melissa, May, and Haruka were checking out the 2009 Hangtown Motocross – round 2 of the Motocross series.

"I have to say that you and Mat are two lucky guys though," Renee stated from the pool.

They'd all learned earlier how Nick and May became an item, he and Nozomi reconciling, getting engaged to Alex, and when Haruka tried to play matchmaker on himself and Bridget.

"Yeah, tell me about it!" Kikki laughed.

"I'm surprised Haruka tried something like that," Zoey quipped.

"You'd think I'd know my longest friend by this point, but like I said, I guess logic isn't what it used to be, especially with us," Nick sighed.

"I must say Mat's proposal to Sam was really cute, too," Renee added. "I hope someone proposes to me while over dinner."

In the meantime, Mat, Melissa, May, and Haruka were watching the 250cc class from Hangtown since that was on first. Calling the race were Racer X writer Jason Weigandt, 4-time Motocross champ David Bailey, and pit reporter Erin Bates.

Corina came inside for a little shade when she saw what was going on.

Currently, Suzuki's Ryan Dungey was leading the second moto until the next shot showed a Kawasaki rider down with only 3 laps to go.

"Uh oh... is that Stroupe?" Mat wondered.

"Ooh, boy..." Melissa quipped.

"Come on, buddy, get it up!" May exclaimed.

Jason: ...you're right, David! Austin Stroupe, who was right there in that Kawasaki freight train trying to fight his way into the top 10, now he's fighting to get up. Hope Stroupe's OK...

"He doesn't look good," Haruka commented.

"What's going..." Corina started until...

Jason (continued): [Justin] Barcia! Barcia's down on the right side of your screen! Barcia and Stroupe – not sure if they came together or if that was two separate incidents. So, now, Barcia dealing with some adversity as well as Stroupe, and Barcia's bike is all twisted up, David.

David: That's right after the FINISH line jump and approaching the mechanic's area...

"What the heck?" Corina wondered.

"Mat's Motocross series," Melissa answered.

Stroupe's helmet visor was also ripped off as he was trying to get to his feet, and Barcia was still trying to restart his Honda as race leader Dungey came passing by.

"Aw, that's a Barcia bummer right there..." Mat sighed.

"I like that one, Mat," May chuckled.

David: ... all that work to get up into 6th... 5th... whatever he was doing – battling right there with Broc Tickle, and then down the tubes – no points. What a bummer!

Jason: Well, that's what we were talking about, even for our leader Dungey...

"You're the racer, Mat?" Corina wondered.

"No, just a rider, and an avid fan," Mat answered.

"And how Mat and Sam made their promise after the 2006 season," Melissa added.

"And an expert in my eyes," May quipped.

Dungey led the way and won the second moto, but his 7th place finish from moto 1 put him 3rd overall; the winner... Pro Circuit's Christophe Pourcel with a 1-2.

"Your take, Mat?" Haruka wondered after the checkered flag as some of the spies started coming in for a break from their pool day.

"I'm not going to doubt Barcia will win one soon," Mat replied. "But Dungey seems to have an edge over Pourcel for the title."

In the meantime, Nozomi, Clover, and Blaine returned with everyone's pizza; simultaneously, the 450cc class broadcast was just beginning.

"Ah, great pizza!" Sam giggled.

Just as Mat began having his pizza, he reacted as there was a major development right away as points leader Ryan Villopoto on his #2 Monster Energy Kawasaki sustained a supposed knee injury while preparing for Hangtown without even crashing.

"Oof," was all Nick could really say.

The moto 1 highlights showed that Villopoto crashed with a few others, including the trouble-child Jason Lawrence #338, who ended up out due to losing his rear brake. The winner of the moto... Suzuki's Mike Alessi #800.

"I don't believe this..." Mat sighed as the season was over for Villopoto, and hearing Villopoto's knee injury went back to his days on 80cc bikes.

"Yeah, that's a definite suck," Haruka quipped.

"Sometimes, those old injuries like to haunt you," Alex stated.

"Is this Motocross stuff all you watch, Mat?" Kikki wondered.

"No, I have other interests like Jeopardy," Mat answered. "But this is something I truly care about."

The second 450cc moto saw a clean start from the 40-man field; JGR Yamaha's Josh Grant #33 led the way with Suzuki's Alessi in 2nd, and teammate Chad Reed in 3rd.

"I cheer for Chad Reed for the record," Mat stated to the new people in the beach house.

Just after the first lap, there was a pit report from Erin Bates.

Erin: Well, guys, Jason Lawrence's day continues to get tougher, but I just noticed that Jason Lawrence actually jumped the start gate, and he actually had to stop and wait for everybody to catch up. I just found out from one of the AMA officials that they are going to black flag him, which means the day is done for Jason Lawrence.

Jason: Four motos this season, four motos, and zero finishes for Jason Lawrence...

Mat sighed and shook his head at Jason Lawrence's actions this time.

"What a douche," Nick commented after hearing all the trouble Lawrence called during Supercross 2009.

"Actually, I don't think that was intentional on Jason Lawrence's part," Mat replied.

"Should we call him a total shame?" Alex wondered.

"I've already started that," Mat replied.

In the meantime, JGR Yamaha's Grant led the way while Mike Alessi ran in 2nd, and Chad Reed battled with Honda's Andrew Short for 4th after Short got around him earlier on. He finally got around Short going around the outside of a left-hand sweeper, much to Mat's surprise.

David: That's a fast line, but you see how hard he had to push it to make that stick.

Jason: Yeah, he just leaned that bike into that corner, so that moves Reed up a spot...

"Nice going, Reedy," Mat replied with a grin on his face.

That was when Reed went after Honda's Ivan Tedesco for 3rd, and even showed a mysterious bike problem with a sign of smoke coming out of his bike, which got Mat's attention.

"You happy, Mat?" Sam wondered.

"Yes and no," Mat replied. "Honestly, I guess I thought Reed might have won a moto by now or at least lead some laps, but then again, he hasn't raced this series since 2006."

"Seems like he was due for another turn, huh?" Blaine quipped.

"Yeah, sometimes you get rusty when you haven't been there for a while," Nick stated.

With a little under fourteen minutes left, everybody reacted at a big bobble from Grant.

Jason: Well, he's less than thrilled with that! He got his feet off the pegs, but STILL manages to hold Alessi off – and now ALESSI FEET OFF THE PEGS!

That turned into a battle between Alessi and Grant.

David: This is the "cat and mouse" thing I was talking about...

"No doubt," Mat stated with a few nervous laughs.

"Seems you provide a lot of entertainment with this stuff, Mat," Corina commented.

"I don't like to hide it," Mat quipped.

"But you're right," Nozomi giggled. "These races ARE entertaining."

Josh Grant still led the day with Mike Alessi still on his tailpipe, but Chad Reed had caught the both of them in the waning moments of the moto.

"Side bet anyone?" May asked. "I say Alessi will get Grant."

"I don't know," Britney quipped. "I think Grant will keep the win."

"I think Grant will hold on, too," Mat stated. "Reed's close, but not close enough to pose a threat."

"That's about what I think, too," Nick responded.

"Yeah, Reed's getting close, but that might not be enough," Nozomi stated.

Simultaneously, the white flag came out, and Grant still held the lead. Everybody watched intently, especially Mat.

Fortunately, Grant did not crack at all.

Jason: ...Here we go, the final corner! Alessi pulls up alongside... HE'S GONNA TRY AN OUTSIDE LINE! JOSH GRANT WINS THE MOTO! ALESSI WINS THE OVERALL, and a great run by Chad Reed to finish 3rd...

"Oh, wow," Mat sighed in relief that Grant was able to hold on for the moto win.

David: That's going to do a lot for his confidence because that was a dogfight, and he won!

"No doubt," Mat deduced.

"But it looks like May lost another side bet," Clover giggled.

"Do you guys do this often?" Kikki wondered.

"Usually, we just like to guess who's gonna win what when it comes to Mat's Supercross," Sam answered. "We don't always place a wager on it, though, mostly it's just for fun."

"Hey, hey, don't touch the ham!" Nozomi retorted as Corina reached for a piece.

"Who said I was going for the ham?!" Corina belted back.

"Your friends are definitely an interesting bunch, Bridget," Zoey admitted as the spies once again got into another topping debate.

"Yup, they are," Bridget replied before smiling brightly. "But they're also the best friends I could have ever asked for, and I wouldn't trade them for anything in this world."

8:47 P.M. – Somewhere in Another Dimension

"And that's that," Ashley sighed as she lowered the Spiral of Death after having just used it to cut down the last of the robotic troopers that had been attacking the Archives. "Here's hoping the computers inside are still intact."

Keeping the Spiral of Death armed and ready just in case, Ashley made her way into the Archives, towards what was known as the IRIS Supercomputer.

Hopefully this time she could get some answers.

"Okay, then, let's see if this can tell me what I need to know," Ashley quipped as she began to type in a query command into the IRIS Supercomputer.

"What would you like to know?" the supercomputer's voice asked.

"What, exactly, would I need to build a Dimensionator?" Ashley asked.

The screen of the supercomputer swiftly displayed a set of schematics and a list of required materials.

"Glitch, copy that down!" Ashley proclaimed, her wrist device glowing briefly.

"The data has been copied!" Glitch answered. "According to the data, we can build a Dimensionator at a Rubicon Force with these schematics, but we'll also need phase quartz to power it."

"...phase quartz," Ashley sighed. "One of the rarest minerals in the universe. Of course it had to be phase quartz."

"I guess all that we can do is hope we find phase quartz in one of the dimensions," Glitch noted.

As another Quantum Rift opened up behind her, Ashley couldn't help but think.

Phase quartz, at least in her universe, was essentially what allowed any device built with it to open up Quantum Rifts to other dimensions.

When she'd destroyed the original Dimensionator, she must have hit the phase quartz inside it, which would explain the current situation.

It really is all my fault...

Totally Spies: Lightning Round
~The End~

Final Note from Mat49324: Well, with that, we finish out Lightning Round, and yet another project. We hope you enjoyed this one, despite Bridget turned out to be the one who carried the flag in this one and not one of the original spies. We still hope you keep staying tuned for our next projects since we're in our 7th season. BTW, I know the epilogue's a little extended, but whatever. We put in what we like. For now, we're moving on to our next project, which will be posted on my page. I won't give away much, but I will say it is titled Volleyball Vandals. Now, here's The Blue Time Ranger for his final thoughts.

Final Note from The Blue Time Ranger: And we've reached the conclusion! I figured it was time to give Bridget a spotlight for once, since we haven't really done that for a while, and what better time to finally make Willard a main villain here? I know he was a main villain in two episodes of the OG show, but this was his first time as a main villain in The New Adventures. And yes, the final showdown was very unorthodox, and inspired by Ninja Warrior (known as Sasuke in Japan). Whoever invented some of these obstacles is clearly a sadist.

And with that out of the way, let's talk about the next episode of Totally Spies: The New Adventures! Lady Dragon's back on her B.S. with yet another scheme to take over the Datascape, but this time around, she's got a rather unexpected partner to help her out, and they're definitely not above cheating to win. We're heading back to the digital world next time on Volleyball Vandals, which will be posted by Mat. So, until next time, have a fantastic day, don't listen to the screeching morons, enjoy this preview of Volleyball Vandals, and we'll see you next mission!

Sadly, any thoughts of jumping into the pool were dashed when a large metal tube suddenly sprouted from the pool and sucked Haruka and Bridget into it before doing the same to the rest of the spies one by one.

"Ack, Jerry, you ruined my moment of triumph!" Bridget shouted as the spies slid down the tube.

Eventually, all thirteen spies landed in Jerry's office, flipping back onto their feet so they could change into their spy suits for the upcoming mission.

However, when they could get a good look at the office, Jerry was nowhere to be seen.

"Um, Jerry? If you're here, give us a sign?" Sam asked.

"Don't worry, you guys, Jerry's just double-checking the containment facility," RiCO proclaimed as the office viewscreen flickered on to show a video feed of RiCO and iCO in sector F of the W.O.O.H.P. Datascape.

"I can see the Datascape behind you two," Nick quipped. "Does that mean that Lady Dragon's on the digital warpath again?"

"How'd you guess?" RiCO giggled.

"Seriously, how many failures is it gonna take for Lady Dragon to realize that she's never going to get anywhere if she keeps recycling the same tired ol' shtick?!" May proclaimed. "This is, like, the sixth time she's made an attempt to take over the Datascape!"

"Yeah, and so soon after she trapped us in that 'storybook' thing, too," Melissa noted. "Guess she's just resistant to trying new schemes."

"Wait, what's Jerry doing in the containment facility?" Mat wondered.

"We have reason to believe that Lady Dragon has some extra help this time around," iCO answered. "Jerry's running a prisoner check to see who it might be."

"In the meantime, let's get all of you in here so we can take care of this little problem," RiCO proclaimed. "Prepare to network, everyone!"

The Digitizer unfolded from the wall above the viewscreen and covered the spies with a bright flash of silvery-blue light, transporting them all into the Datascape.

To be continued in Totally Spies: Volleyball Vandals...
