Waking for the third time was unlike anything he had felt before. If he was being honest it felt more like waking up for the first time. Breathing deeply Terry's eyes slowly began to open and for once the lights weren't too bright. Slowly Blinking he began to notice the scientists around him, though unlike the first time he was able to acknowledge his general area. When he woke the first time he felt as if his thoughts were scattered, and comparing it to this time, he had to be right.

Terry was noticing name tags and even eye color. Without thinking Terry was taking note of distinguishing marks on every single scientist. A scar above the left eyebrow on the red headed female there, a pant leg bunched up around the prosthetic of an Asian man in front of me. It kept going, Terry wasn't able to stop as his subconscious drove his mind to find out all of the details of those around him. The weirdest detail was the faint shadow of a horn by the wall closest to Desmond. As preoccupied as Terry's mind was, he was still able to hear when a man asked him a question.

"Project Batman Beyond, do you hear me? How do you feel?"

Turning around Terry locked eyes with an older scientist with brown graying hair. Looking quickly at his name tag Terry read the name DR. DESMOND. "Yes Dr. Desmond, I can hear you. And I feel fine." Terry said as he took a step forward, his step didn't falter once. Walking towards Dr. Desmond Terry was able to notice how all of the surrounding scientists purposely kept a safe distance from Desmond. Interesting.

Stopping about 3 feet in front of Desmond Terry was able to notice a few things. One he had a lot of scruff along his face, he hadn't shaved in a few days. Two, his appearance was not very pleasant, his hair was a mess, and his smell wasn't too encouraging either. Looking around, Terry noticed one last bit of information, most of the doctor's in the surrounding area had similar appearances. So after his heart stopped he was out for a few days perhaps? It looks as if they've all barely slept.

"After my heart stopped, how long was I out, doctor?" Terry questioned hoping to get straight to the truth.

Dr. Desmond looked taken aback only for a second before he gained a smug smile, probably happy his "project" was working correctly. "You were out for 3 days, June 9th to June 12th. You went into atrial fibrillation, your heart couldn't take the stress and stopped as you know, we were able to restart your heart luckily. You were finished healing from it by early the next day, but we had to run diagnostics on your stasis chamber. A heater core hose blew and released all of the hot air at once, causing your freezing process to speed up to an unsafe degree, you're lucky to be alive." Dr. Desmond said, handing a manilla envelope to Terry.

Terry was able to keep the surprise off of his face as he collected the envelope, hoping it was what he had thought it was. Opening it up, the first page alone proved it was exactly what he was hoping. "Stasis Pod Containment Model AV.4.1964" flipping through the booklet, Terry stopped on the construction page and was trying to memorize every part that went into the machine. Terry was reading about the coolant system when Dr. Desmond interrupted him.

"Ahem. I know this must be very interesting to you, especially if our earliest assessments are correct. But we do have testing to do, and we are hoping to get them done sooner than later."

Keeping the annoyance out of his voice Terry answered the doctor. "Copy, sir." Terry handed the envelope back. "What are the tests over sir?"

"Medical, physical, physiological, and an academic test. You can leave in one second, I just need to grab you someone to take you there." Desmond said just before he turned around and called out, "Dubbilex!"

"Yes sir?" Dubbilex said stepping out of the shadows making everyone in the room jump besides Terry, he knew Dubbilex was there of course, he was the horned shadow from earlier.

Collecting himself Dr. Desmond continued as if nothing happened. "Ah yes, Dubbilex please take the project to the medical ward so he can begin his testing." Not waiting to see if his request would be met or not Desmond turned around and began to bark orders at the scientists around him.

"Dr. Alta begin prepping project Warhawk to be woken up, everyone else grab your files on the project and get ready!" Desmond said as he continued to walk towards project Warhawk.

"Hello Project Beyond, my name is Dubbilex, I am a genomorph. If you would, please follow me." Dubbilex said to Terry in a monotone voice. Terry nodded his head once and fell into step with Dubbilex. They walked in silence for a while before Dubbilex asked Terry a question.

"Do you remember our conversation? From when you first woke up?"

"Yes Dubbilex I do. I remember our conversations." Terry said purposely being vague incase of hidden ears. Dubbilex nodded his head saying he had understood Terry's meaning. They passed a sign on the wall saying they were getting close to medical, when Terry remembered a question he had been thinking about. Taking a second or two to consider the best way to word it, he formed an idea.

"Hey Dubbilex."

"Yes Beyond?"

"The genomorphs were showing me images while I was in stasis, as always. Anyways, they showed me one of the oceans. I thought it looked beautiful, but I was wondering if it could be dangerous."

Dubbilex had a seemingly happy look appear on his face. "Ah, the ocean is very beautiful isn't it? But you may be correct in your fears beyond, the ocean is powerful in its own way, especially with a lightning storm, Though I would never say it's dangerous personally. The few times they've allowed me to see the ocean I can only think of beauty, gentleness, and most importantly, freedom."

Terry's eyes shot up towards Dubbilex as he latched onto that one word, freedom. Remembering their very first conversation Terry recalled what he had told Dubbilex he wanted. "I want to be free. I think that's what I want to learn. How to be free." Terry knew it couldn't be a coincidence, he rarely believed in them anyways. And then there was also something in the way he said "lightning storm." Instead of saying just "storm" he mentioned lightning, why? That's not a normal way to say that. Maybe Terry was reading into it, or just maybe he was on the right track. Locking eyes with Dubbilex Terry gave the genomorph a firm nod to let him know that he understood. Aquagirl was going to be the puzzle, and the storm may be a piece to the puzzle.

Nothing more was to be said as they reached the swinging doors leading into the medbay. Leaving no time for Terry to rest he was swarmed by numerous doctors as he was poked and prodded, each one asking a question.

"How does your chest feel? Any pain?"

"How do you feel any pain, dizziness?"

"How does your head feel? Any discomfort?"

More and more questions kept coming as Terry was looking around trying to decide who to answer first when finally Dubbilex decided to take pity on him.

"Please doctor's one at a time, as we know this can all be very confusing."

All eyes turned towards Dubbilex and the doctor's at least had the good mind to look sheepish. One male doctor with glasses stepped up.

"Of course Dubbilex, we'll get to work right now." He said. Seemingly contemplating for a small amount of time he finally found an answer. "How about he goes to cardiology first, then we'll send him to the right until we're done. Simple, and easy." The man said leaving no room for arguments.

Grumbling for a second or two the doctor's began to disperse out of the center hall, and made their way back towards their personal rooms. A singular female with light brown hair stayed. She had glasses that hung low on her nose and she looked unbelievably annoyed. 'Dr. Bas' Terry read from her name tag. Standing at barely 5 feet, Terry was surprised how she was able to seemingly look down upon him.

"Follow me, clone." She said with a venomous growl. Terry was taken aback by the vitriol in her voice and looked towards Dubbilex for a second, only to see him glaring daggers at the back of the doctor's head. Dubbilex slowly began to make his way towards the room the doctor was going to and Terry fell into step beside him. Never once did Dubbilex's eyes stray from the doctor's head.

Turning towards the two people following behind her, Dr. Bas regarded Dubbilex with a nasty look. "You can stop right there Dubbilex you don't need to babysit the newest Wayne bastard." Terry's mouth dropped and he turned his gaze to Dubbilex, who gave him a sorrowful expression. "Of course not Dr. But I will accompany the young project anyways, you know it is my job to do such." Glaring at Dubbilex and his unflappable nature Dr. Bas huffed out a breath and made a quick turn into a room, obviously intending them to follow. Terry reached out and placed a staying hand on Dubbilex's shoulder.

"Why is her problem Dubbilex? She seems to hate us." Terry asked telepathically.

"She doesn't hate me Beyond, just you I believe, I'll explain it to you later, now go before our absence increases her ire." Dubbilex responded.

Holding down his annoyance at being brushed off, Terry turned and walked through the door to see an irritable Dr. Bas. "We do not have all day, project Wayne, get in here now." She said pointing to a medical table near the back of the room which Terry went to and sat down. Terry wasn't given any time to wonder about the strange thing she called him, "Project Wayne?" Dubbilex stayed by the door as Dr. Bas was finishing setting up her equipment. Dr. Bas finally turned towards Terry with a strange looking rod in her hand and had a dark look in her face as she said. "Let's begin."

Medical was not very enjoyable. Terry was poked and prodded by seemingly every doctor in the room with very few actually treating him with any dignity. Dr. Bas was the worst of them all, out of 12 doctors she had him for 3 of the 5 hours he was there. Making their way through the medbays swinging doors, Terry followed close behind Dubbilex. When they were finally far enough away Terry could question Dubbilex.

"What was her problem, Dubbilex? She hated the very sight of me."

Dubbilex sighed before replying. "She doesn't hate you Beyond, she hates Bruce Wayne. She worked for Wayne enterprises before he fired her for the dangerous testing she was doing to animals. She didn't go quietly and Mr. Wayne was forced to have to bring up charges against her, he of course won and it destroyed her public image in the process."

"That…doesn't seem like a good idea to have her know that Bruce Wayne and Batman are the same… does it?"

"Who said she does?" Terry gave Dubbilex a confused look before Dubbilex went further. "As far as most doctors here know you're the clone of Bruce Wayne, not Batman. We have them believe you're going to be sent out into the world as his biological son and take over the company. It is extremely powerful after all, even our greatest monetary contributor, Lex Luthor, doesn't know who you really are."

Terry didn't understand how anyone could be stupid enough to fall for that, they made 4 out of 5 clones from members of the justice league, and just 1 of the 5 was made from a normal billionaire playboy? Who would believe that? Apparently he was unable to hide his incredulousness because Dubbilex began to chuckle.

"You forget Beyond, you have the mind of the world's greatest detective, very few can make the great leaps and bounds to that kind of conclusion."

Terry was silent for a second before he replied. "Fair enough, though I still don't like it."

Dubbilex and Terry continued on their path heading towards Terry's physical testing, making idle chat. Finally they reached the metal doors leading into the athletic room and Terry could admit he was very excited. Pushing the doors open Terry was surprised to see a pitch black room. Walking inwards some the metal doors swung back into place, turning quickly around Terry noticed Dubbilex had not made it into the room with him. It took Terry only a second to realize what they were doing. Turning back towards the center of the room Terry began to carefully walk through the athletic room, letting his other senses guide him.

There! Terry brought his guard up and slowly turned to his right, having heard a soft step pad across the ground. Almost as soon as he did though Terry instinctually dropped to the ground, narrowly missing the attack from behind. Terry couldn't tell you what it was that caused him to duck, but hearing a heavy thud hit the ground in front of him he decided it was a good idea to listen to it.

Jumping towards the noise Terry was met with success as he heard a sharp intake of air. Following the noise again Terry slammed his fist down onto the person's mouth and knew he found his mark as the person grunted out a pained cry. Only needing one more hit Terry aimed it as best he could at the person's temple and knew he was successful as the body slumped down to the ground. Wondering how they were able to see him so well in the dark Terry reached towards the man's eyes and felt something akin to glasses. Hoping to himself he was correct Terry pulled the glasses like object of the man's face and placed them over his own eyes. Terry was very glad to find he was correct. Night vision glasses.

Terry got into a low crouch and began scanning the area for more people, 2 by the weight racks, 1 over by the yoga mats and 3 by a weapons rack. All men, looking back at his previous assailant he saw they had been a male as well. Looking around for the next best course of action Terry noticed the light switch and had a great idea. Getting down into a low crawl Terry started to slowly make his way towards the light switch. Terry watched as one of the men started to make their way towards the first person he had brought down first. Stopping his crawl and positioning himself behind a punching bag. When the man passed Terry, leaving his back exposed, Terry silently stood up and looked around to make sure the coast was clear before he positioned himself directly behind the man.

Quickly snaking his right arm around the man's neck he began to perform a Carotid restraint, quickly cutting off the blood flow to the man's brain. After getting over his initial panic, the man tried to thrash around only causing Terry's already strong hold to deepen. Allowing the man's limp body to fall to the ground Terry dragged the unconscious man behind some boxes helping to conceal the 2nd man brought down by Terry. 5 left to go.

Again getting into a low crawl Terry was able to make it to the lightswitch without any more intrusions. Leaning against the wall he began planning his attack. Step 1: flip on the lights and bloom out their night vision. Step 2: wait for them to take off their glasses to turn lights back off again, blinding them twice over. Step 3: Attack weapons first, not the closest, but definitely the most dangerous. Step 4: make noise to have them come to you. Deciding it was a good plan Terry took one more look around and pulled off his glasses, throwing them on the ground.

The world was flooded in light and all 5 of the men jumped and began to reach towards their night vision to take them off. The first 4 took their goggles off and they dropped them to the ground to free both hands so they could rub their eyes. The last 1 took theirs off but kept them close in hand.

"There he is!" One of the first 4 yelled out. Making eye contact with him, Terry glared, causing the man to freeze. Terry reached towards the light switch without breaking eye contact and shut the lights out once again. Encasing the men in Terry's home.

Terry was a shadow moving through the large room as he made his way towards the weapons rack. When he came across the first man he made quick work of him, a quick jab to the throat and a knee to the chin on his way down. The man fell hard like a sack of potatoes. The second man wasn't far behind the first, he was reaching down to find his night vision goggles and was facing Terry, unable to see his opponent making quick work towards him. The man must have found his goggles as he began to stand up straighter. Terry took his chance while the man was still slightly off balance.

He quickly rushed in and placed his left shoulder into the man's stomach causing the man to pull into himself, which was exactly what Terry had been hoping for. While the man was distracted by the pain in his stomach Terry placed the right side of his face next to the man's left kidney and wrapped the man up in a rear body lock. Placing his right foot on the man's right heel he began to pull. Surprisingly the man seemed slightly more competent than his predecessors, and promptly lifted his right foot, causing Terry's rear trip to fail. Luckily, Terry was prepared for that and quickly switched his rear trip into a mat reversal causing the man to let out a scream of pain as his arm made contact with the ground and bent in an awkward angle. Getting down on one knee Terry brought an elbow to the man's cheek, silencing his screams. All around him the last 3 men were terrified, screaming out questions.

"Mike! Mike! MIKE! Are you OK, Mike? What was that scream?" Said the last man by the weapons as he began to run towards the man at the weights. No one answered.

"Shit man! He got Mike!" The man at the weights said to the other. "We gotta get out of here!" The other replied back. In their fear both made a bad decision running towards the entryway door. That door was locked.

Running after the two of them Terry knew he was moving too fast for either of them to stop him. He placed one foot on a box and pushed off like a rocket towards the two of them.

Wrapping his arms around the neck of the man on the right, Terry kicked out with his left leg aiming for the side of the head, and dropped the man on the left. Since he was holding the neck of the man on the right he and Terry were both brought down when gravity inevitably took hold. Terry quickly rolled to his right, getting in a better position for the knockout. Bringing his right elbow down to the man's cheek he knew there was no way the man wouldn't be out.

Now for the last man. The only one who didn't drop his night vision. Terry dropped low onto the ground and placed his ear to it trying to listen to any vibrations the man would create. He heard one that sounded faint, but there was something off about it. It did indeed sound far away but it was moving too slow like they were close and trying to be quiet. Terry had the same feeling he did at the start of this telling him to move, so he did, rolling to his side Terry could see the boot that was meant for his head. Acting completely on instinct Terry's right arm shot out aiming for the right knee of his attacker. His knee made a sickening pop, the attacker fell to his left knee in pain and didn't even have the chance to look up as Terry brought his own foot to the side of the man's face, instantly dropping him.

Terry was breathing deeply, looking around him into the darkness. Suddenly all of the lights turned on, causing Terry to squint.

"Very good beyond, that was even more impressive than we could have hoped for." a voice called out from behind him. Turning around Terry was met with a Rounded man with blonde hair and green eyes, he had a kind look about him. Then again that was kind of destroyed as he walked past all of the unconscious men on the ground without batting an eye. Deciding to be cordial Terry tried to be polite to the man.

"Thank you mister?..." Terry began hoping the man would answer his unasked question. If the man knew his true project designation Terry wanted to know who he was too.

"Dr. Phillip, if you'd please."

"OK Dr. Phillip, may I ask if it was you that set up this physical assessment?"

The doctor seemed to have a smile growing on his face as he grabbed his bubbled out belly. "Me? Physical fitness? HA!" The Dr. said while laughing. Terry didn't smile, but he was amused by the man's boisterous energy.

"No Beyond, I'm here for your psychological testing. And since you seem to be finished with your physical portion should we get started?"

"Sounds fine to me Dr. Phillip. Lead the way."

Turning on his heel Dr. Phillip walked towards the doors of the athletic room with Terry following closely behind him. Making their way into the hallway Terry was surprised that Dubbilex wasn't there. Terry didn't have much time to think about it before red flashing lights and sirens began to blare throughout Cadmus. Terry was wondering what could cause the disturbance, as a large security detail ran past them.

"What's wrong? Do we need to evacuate?" Dr. Phillip called out.

"No! Get to your office NOW doctor!" One of the passing guards yelled out as he followed the group of guards further into Cadmus.

Wasting no time at all Dr. Phillip grabbed Terry's arm and began to drag him behind himself. Terry tried to dig his feet into the ground as he yelled out, "Doctor, I need to help them! Someone could get hurt! I can't let them get hurt!"

Fully planting his feet and beginning to turn around, Terry was surprised to have been met with Dubbilex, not some murderous monster.

"Be calm, Beyond! It's OK! No one is attacking!" Dubbilex called out catching Terry's attention, and calming him at the same time.

"What's happening Dubbilex?" Dr. Phillip asked from behind Terry.

"There was an issue while waking project Warhawk, but it's being resolved. I can explain more inside your office." Dubbilex said pointing with his hand down the hall, towards the doctor's room."

"Yes of course, follow me." The Dr. Said as he led Dubbilex and Terry down the hall. Stopping in front of a door the doctor leaned forward and purposely used his body to block out the number pad as he input the doors password. The door made a soft clock allowing them entrance.

The room didn't fit Dr. Phillip's personality at all, it was bare white walls, with two uncomfortable looking seats in the dead center, and a singular coffee table overflowing with papers next to one of the seats. Walking in further Dr. Phillip directed Terry towards one seat with his hand, and sat down in the chair opposite. Dubbilex stood behind Dr. Phillip.

"When Project Warhwak woke up he was in a blind rage and attacked the scientists in the room, the genomorphs were able to calm him down, and he is doing fine now. Actually starting his medical assessments." Dubbilex finally

"Oh thank Go-" Dr. Phillip began as Terry cut him off.

"How many people were injured, is everyone OK?" Terry asked.

Dubbilex stayed silently for only a second before he answered Terry, "3, there were 3 people severally injured. They are stable currently, but we don't know how long it will stay like that."

Terry was a brick wall, completely emotionless. Staring at the floor his Visage was set in a glare.

"Beyond are you OK? What's wrong?" Dr. Phillip questioned, picking up on the dark emotions rolling off of the clone.

The Dr. Was met with absolute silence.

"Beyond, please, it was an accident you couldn't have done anything." The Dr. Tried to get Terry's attention again. And for better or worse, he did.

Terry's eyes shot up towards the doctor, Pinning him to his chair. "Not my fault?" Terry said with venom. "It doesn't matter if it was my fault doctor, what matters is I wasn't there to stop it. I could have helped those people, and I should have been there." Terry replied with burning passion.

Dr. Phillip was almost shaking in fear, he knew this wasn't Beyond he was talking to, it was fear and Vengeance himself, The Batman. And there was no quelling his anger. "Beyond-" Dr. Phillip began before sharply clamping his teeth together, he knew there was nothing he could say or do.

Terry was angry, he knew he was and he didn't know why, the logical part of his brain knew he couldn't do anything, but somewhere inside him was an emotional side screaming at him for failing.

"Terry…" a faraway voice called out for his attention, but it wasn't out loud, he heard the voice in his head. Looking down at the ground Terry closes his eyes and focused on the faraway voice, slowly the speaker came more and more into focus, she was still beautiful.

"Aquagirl? How are you here?" Terry questioned.

"I don't know Terry, I was swimming in the ocean when all of a sudden I was here." She said with a puzzled expression.

Terry knew there was only one obvious option. "Dubbilex! Where are you? Why did you bring Aquagirl here?"

"I'm here, Terry." Dubbilex voice came from Terry and Aquagirl's right side. "And she was brought here because you needed her here. Now be quick, I can't keep a secure link like this up for too long." Dubbilex disappeared before their very eyes not giving them the continued chance to question him.

"Damn you Dubbilex." Terry said under his breath, seething with anger. Terry didn't want to talk about this, especially with an empath like Aquagirl.

"Terry…what happened? I can feel the pain radiating off of you." Aquagirl's soft voice called out from behind Terry as she placed a hand on his right shoulder.

"It's nothing Aquagirl, don't worry about it." Terry said turning to Aquagirl and fixing a hard glare at her.

Her kind expression didn't falter under his gaze. "You have such strong emotions, Terry. I don't know how you keep them all in."

The breath was taken out of Terry, he had been afraid of this, that she would find out the Batman's secret. He wasn't emotionless, far from it, he was terrified. Terrified of failing that little kid in the alley again, he was scared of his own emotions.

His eyes began to sting as he tried hard to force the tears back, but Aquagirl refused to let him close off anymore than he already was. She forced herself forward and hugged him around his waist. Terry knew he couldn't hold it in anymore. Silent tears fell down his cheeks as she held him closely, with his head on her shoulder. After a few minutes of Aquagirl comforting the no longer crying Terry he was finally able to take a step back and talk to her.

"One of projects was scared and he attacked the scientists Aquagirl." Terry told her in a quiet raspy voice. "They were hurt and I couldn't do anything about it, why would they create my if I couldn't save them? It doesn't make sense, I should've been able to save them." Terry finished explaining his torment while attempting to keep the tears back.

"Oh Terry, what could you have done, were you in the room when it happened?"

"That doesn't matter Aquagirl! I should have been there! Those 3 scientists wouldn't be dying in a hospital bed if I had been!" Terry said with anger.

Aquagirl didn't seem overly affected by his anger as she fixed him with a disappointed look. "Terry, you are so incredibly smart, and you don't realize that you couldn't have known? I know you're upset that people got hurt, I am too, but there was nothing that could have been done. But I think you know that, don't you?" Aquagirl said.

Of course Terry knew he couldn't have really helped unless he had been there, but all he could see when he imagined it was a young Terry McGinnis kneeling in his parents blood.

"I….I know that Aquagirl. But all I want to do is protect those that can't protect themselves."

"Why though? Why does it mean so much to you Terry? " She questioned.

"... There was no one there for me Aquagirl, I refuse to let there be someone else that turns into me." Terry said with a saddened look.

"What do you-" Aquagirl began to ask.

"I'm sorry, but we have to go now, I can't hold it open any longer." Dubbilex said, appearing before their eyes saving Terry from answering and annoying Aquagirl. Neither had the chance to comment as Dubbilex's horns glew red for a second when Aquagirl disappeared and Terry's eyes were forced open in real time. Looking up he saw the knowing look of Dubbilex and the worried look of Dr. Phillip.

"Why are you crying Beyond? What's wrong? Dr. Phillip asked.

Terry was surprised to feel tears dragging down his face. "I- I was just thinking of my p-parents." Terry was able to choke out.

Dr. Phillip raised one eye and wrote something down on his notepad. "Your "parents" would be a Mr. And Mrs.McGinnis, yes?" He asked.

"Yes, but I do know they aren't my real parents none of it was real."

"Very interesting." The doctor said quietly to himself. "How does their death make you feel?" He directed the question at Terry.

Terry froze he wasn't expecting that, how did it make him feel? "... I don't know…. I'm still trying to figure out I guess." He replied trying to get away from this topic.

"That's OK Beyond, that makes perfect sense, it must be hard to talk about, huh?"

Know the doctor was just trying to get him to talk Terry decided to reply shortly. "Yes."

"Would you like to take it?"

"No."

Dr. Phillip pulled a face as if he was annoyed and Terry decided he could care less. Standing up he looked one more time at the doctor.

"I have more testing to do doctor, I'm done with your questions." Terry started to make his way towards the door with Dubbilex falling in step with him.

"Wait!" Dr. Phillip called out, causing Terry to stop and turn his head slightly towards the man. "I have one more question that I'm supposed to ask!" The man quickly said.

Terry waited for 5 seconds before he finally became annoyed, "Are you going to ask or not Dr.?" He said somewhat heated.

"Oh of course!" The doctor began to fumble around his small stand until he pulled out a notebook and pen. "Why are you here Beyond?"

Terry was surprised the question was so easy, he thought it had to have been about the meaning of life with how the doctor was reacting. Then again it technically was the meaning of his life so maybe the Dr. Was right to react how he did.

"I am the Project Batman Beyond and I am to replace the Batman should he die and defeat him if he turns from the light." Is what Terry said, but truly all he could think about was 'I am to protect the weak.' The doctor doesn't need to know that though.

"Very good Beyond, you can go now." Dr. Phillip said acting like he still had any say in the matter as Terry and Dubbilex left the room without a backwards glance.

There were no words said between Terry or Dubbilex as the 2 made their way towards his final assessment, academics. Terry wasn't particularly looking forward to this, especially after that psychological assessment, with Dr. Phillip.

Reaching a metal door Dubbilex leaned forward and pushed it open for Terry before closing it behind him.

Terry surprised to see not someone giving him an assessment, but a crime scene with police tape and all. There was a flipped car and blood leaking out of the car onto the very realist gravel road. Stepping under the police tape he was slightly startled as he heard a voice.

"Hello Beyond my name is Tobias, I will be administering your test today, you have 1 hour to solve the crime, we will be asking random questions during your investigation. Begin." The voice rang through out the room, seemingly over some kind of loud speaker.

Knowing he was being timed Terry got to work almost instantly, following the obvious trails first, male approximately 40 year old body inside drivers seat, and an opened door on the passengers side, indicating a secondary passenger. While doing all of this Terry answered questions without batting an eye.

"Capital of Ohio?"

"Columbus

"20Kg in Lbs?"

"44.092 Lbs."

"Atomic number and weight of Mercury?"

"Number 80 and 200.59 u."

And all the while Terry kept investigating, passengers body over here, female mid 30's, 50 feet away from the vehicle, hands tied together with a rope, bruising on knuckles a fight. Turning back around Terry made his way to the car to check his theory, looking at the side of the man's head facing the passenger he found it.

"91 11?)

Terry took a second to think about that question, "1,001."

"Martian weakness."

"Fire."

"How much time do you have left?"

This is what Terry was hoping they would ask. "None that I need, the driver kidnapped the female, who was able to distract the man enough to attack him, breaking his Zygomatic. You know it wasn't from the car wreck due to the right side of the head otherwise untouched. The surprise of the attack caused the man to accidently flip the car. Killing him in the impact and severely injuring her, she was able to open the door and crawl 50 feet away before she succumbed to her injuries. Oh and if you're wondering, I finished it at 21min and 14 seconds.

"... You can leave now Project Beyond."

Without saying anything beyond turned towards the doors and walked out. Dubbilex was no where to be seen. Beyond stood for maybe a minute to see if anyone would arrive, and when no one did he began to walk towards where he knew his stasis pod was. A left here, a right there through that door. Terry had memorized the way while Dubbilex was taking him through the first. Turning right down the next hallway Terry found out where Dubbilex was, guiding Project Warhwak around. Making eye contact Dubbilex slightly turned and began to make his way towards Terry who stood in place.

"Hello Beyond, this is Warhawk. I'm sorry I wasn't there to help guide you back to your stasis pod, I was asked to help guide Warhawk, and we didn't think you would have any trouble finding your way back." Dubbilex said.

Terry gritted his teeth and tried to ignore the anger he had towards Warhawk, turning to lock eyes with Dubbilex he responded. "You're fine Dubbilex, I didn't have any trouble making it back here. By the way, how are those scientists from earlier? Doing any better?"

Terry watched as Warhawks jaw clenched and he made a fist to his side. He at least feels remorseful for what happened Terry thought. Terry watched as Dubbilex placed a calming hand on Warhawks shoulder, causing the tension in Warhawk to drain out.

"They're fine Beyond, 2 have been moved out of the ICU and they have high hopes for the 3rd." Dubbilex said with a pointed look. Terry knew Dubbilex was asking him to stop attacking Warhawk. Knowing there may be a better time to do it anyways Terry conceded.

"OK Dubbilex, I'm heading back to my stasis pod now, are the scientists ready for me?"

"Yes Beyond, they're waiting for you now."

"Thank you Dubbilex." Terry said before turning slightly to Warhawk. "Warhawk."

"Watch out Bats, us Hawks eat rodents like you for breakfast." Warhawk said while shouldering past Terry.

Terry grimaced and continued on his way heading towards his stasis pod again. Not meeting any opossition in his way again. Terry soon reached his stasis pod room.

"Ah project Beyond! How were your assessments today?" Said a man to Terry's side as he entered. Looking over he was met with the smirking face of Dr. Desmond.

"Good Dr. Desmond, I passed all of my assessments." Terry said with a blank stare on his face.

"I hear you did exceptionally well on your academical testings, they're sending me videos of all of your testing from today, I look forward to watching them."

"Thank you sir." Terry replied.

"Alright Beyond you're done for the day. Go lay down in your pod."

"Yes sir." Terry replied as he made his way towards his stasis pod. Terry hated everything about this, being forced into a constant deep sleep. He couldn't wait for when he was free, it may not be today, it may not even be tomorrow, but someday Terry will be free.

Laying down inside his stasis pod Terry watched as the lid enclosed over top of him and he closed his eyes. Feeling the pod fill with an extremely cold gas, Terry's last thought was about the beauty of the ocean, and how he couldn't wait to see her freedom again. Finally, Terry was able to rest.
