Chapter 1: New School and a Vampire
Sitting on the bus were five people, all with varying looks.
The first one, who was staring out the window was a man. He was around 6'2", with a chocolate skin tone. He had dark brown hair in a fade, dark brown eyes that were covered by a pair of glasses. He was dressed in the Yokai Academy uniform for males, Albeit that he had the green jacket wrapped around his waist. This was Ty, he released a sigh and looked over to the one next to him.
This was the second person, Ty's most loyal assistant and companion, Fae. She was shorter than him by quite a lot, standing at 5'4", a pale skin tone. She had dark purple/black shoulder length hair, and gray eyes. She was dressed in the girl version of the Yokai Academy uniform, only it was missing the green jacket and red bowtie, the top buttons of the shirt was also undone. She had her legs sitting across Ty's lap, while playing games on her phone.
Across from them and a bit down the aisle was the monkey man himself and third person. He was 6'1, with vibrant purple hair which was kept in a ponytail. He wore the school uniform, but had the jacket sleeves rolled up past his elbows, and his bowtie was left undone. The monkey had his headphones in, listening to music while slightly leaning against the window.
The fourth and final member was Cherri herself, she sat the farthest away, closer to the front near the driver. She was a height of 5'9" and had an alabaster skin tone. Her short red hair styled in a pushed up pixie cut. This went well with her blue eyes. Like her companions, she had the Yokai Academy uniform on; though her jacket was open and had the sleeves rolled up, and she did not have the bowtie.
"Okay; I'm used to being average, but still…I never thought I'd flunk all my high school entrance exams!" Tsukune Aono and the sixth person on the bus said. He was sitting a seat behind Cherri.
"Oof, brutal. Well, hopefully this place will be better." Cherri looked back at Tsukune and offered him a smile. "Cherri."
"I'm Tsukune Aono." Tsukune introduced himself.
"So…entering Yokai Academy, huh?" The Bus driver looked back at the group.
"Yeah, that's right. We're excited to start." Cherri was the one to answer.
Yes, they found themselves in much younger bodies. It seemed that upon their traversal of the multiverse, they found themselves having their clocks reset. What sucks even more was that since they were effectively teenagers once more, they had to attend a school. This proved rather difficult at first because they had no papers that legally said they belonged in this universe, so they needed to acquire some and to do that they needed money. This led to the creation of Inu Investments, an investing firm that they created. Their abilities made acquiring the seed money from various donors simple enough, as well as clientele.
Even with all that they still found themselves unable to get into any of the other schools, then one day a packet of submission letters were left at their door. With no other prospects they decided to try their luck and found themselves admitted into the Academy.
"Well, I hope you all said your good-byes." The bus driver said.
"Why?" Ty couldn't sense any hostility from him, it felt more well he couldn't really put a word to it.
"Because as soon as we come out of this long, long tunnel…" The driver paused for dramatic effect. "You'll see the academy, and perhaps never see anything again." He then began to chuckle to himself.
They then pulled out of the tunnel and arrived at a cliffside, with a scarecrow, and a dead tree. The bus stopped and the doors opened up.
"Welcome to the school kids, Take care now." The driver said, as everyone grabbed their bags and exited the bus, which quickly pulled off.
The group took in their surroundings seeing the school off in the distance; which was framed by shadows. A bolt of lighting struck behind it, giving it a brief illumination and adding to the creepy factor.
"Wait a minute! What kinda school is this?!" Tsukune yelled at the retreating bus.
"Huh, so I guess we're huffing it from here." Ty said, shouldering his bag, suddenly he stood ramrod straight. "Move!" Ty grabbed Fae and dived to the ground. Tsu jumped up to the top of the tree.
"Wha-" Cherri was promptly interrupted.
"Ahh! Look out!" Yelled a female voice from nowhere. Cherri & Tsukune turned to look in the direction it came from seeing the form of Moka Akashiya riding on a bike, coming at them. "Outta the way!"
Cherri quickly jumped out of the way, while Moka crashed into Tsukune. The two crumbled to the ground in a jumbled mess of limbs.
"Ow, where'd this bike come from all of a…" Tsukune stopped as he got a good look at Moka.
Ty got up and helped Fae up in the process,"Hey, so do you make it a habit of crashing into people?"
Cherri sent a look up at Ty, and proceeded to get up. "Are you okay?" She held out her hands towards the two in order to help them up.
"I'm sorry." Moka apologized, "I'm anemic…I get a little dizzy sometimes." Moka looked at the gathered group, her beauty causing Tsukune to be blown back by a nosebleed.
Tsu from his perch looked on.
Fae kicked at Tsukune's body, getting him to sit up. Ty stood next to her shaking his head.
"He can't seriously have gotten a nosebleed from that." Ty commented.
"Oh blood." Moka crawled over to Tsukune with a handkerchief. "H-here." As she got closer the smell of his blood reached her nose, causing her to have to lean on him for support.
"Are you sure you should be riding that bike? I mean you're barely staying up now. You could seriously hurt someone." Ty crossed his arms.
"Sorry, I-I'm Moka, a vampire." Moka introduced herself as she closed in on Tsukune's neck and bit down.
"Ooh, I like her already." Fae said, watching the display.
"I feel like we should be looking away." Cherri said.
Moka released her hold of Tsukune, who then began to freak out.
"I'm Cherri, the asshole is Ty, next to him is Fae. The one you hit was Tsukune. The monkey is Tsu." Cherri gestured to each of them.
"It's nice to meet you, and I'm sorry for what I did to your friend. I'd never dream of doing anything like that, if I weren't.." Moka apologized.
"Yeah, yeah. A vampire. You don't gotta worry he isn't our friend. Though I guess you should make sure to properly apologize to him once he's done freaking out." Ty waved her off.
"Yes! I hope despite all this we can be friends." Moka answered very cheerfully.
"Of course, we should probably get going before we're late." Ty said, as he began to walk away.
"Tsukune, when you're done with your freak out, catch up with us." Fae called back, as the group began to walk away from Tsukune.
Tsu hops down from the tree and walks over to the boy who was losing his mind.
"Hey dude, it was just a kiss, why are you freaking out so bad?" The monkey asked Tsukune.
Tsukune stopped, and looked at Tsu. "She's a vampire! She sucked my blood!"
"Huh, kinda hard to hear from up in the tree.. Either way, doesn't it seem a little messed up to judge someone based off an attribute they can't help?" Tsu spoke, and offered his hand to Tsukune to help him up, his tail bunched up in reaction to Tsu's actions.
Tsukune took Tsu's hand and got up, "I…I guess you're right. She was kind of pretty, and it's not like I'll know a lot of people going into this school. I should apologize, shouldn't I?"
Tsu dusted off Tsukune's back and showed him to Moka. "Exactly, gotta make friends when you can, lest they become your enemy." Tsu said the last part of the sentence in an odd voice, joking to help lighten Tsukune's mood.
The group found themselves walking through the hallways, they had suffered through homeroom, where it was discovered that Yokai Academy was a school for monsters. At least the school was supporting cohabitation. Though they seriously questioned how well the humans of this universe would take to it.
"So…that explains Moka, and well, just the school in general." Ty said, watching students pass-by from the upper railing.
"Yeah, doesn't seem like a lot of the monsters are too onboard with the school's mission, if some of the grumblings from our 'classmates' are to be believed." Fae said, leaning back against the railing on Ty's right.
"Yeah, some creep even suggested just eating all the humans." Cherri said, she was sitting on the floor next to Fae's legs.
A smile grew on the face of Fae, she looked towards Ty, "Hey Boss…"
"No." Ty said simply, causing Fae to pout.
Tsu was standing beside Cherri. "I honestly feel bad for Tsukune. He's been hanging around Moka all day; as soon as someone realizes he's human, who knows what they'll do."
"Yeah, he's dead." Fae stated as casually as someone discussing the weather. "Look." Fae pointed below them.
On the level below them, they could see Tsukune and Moka walking together. Moka had her arm wrapped around his, dragging him all over in her excitement to tour the school.
Male students all around them were making comments on Moka's appearance and glaring in jealousy at Tsukune.
That's when Saizo came walking out of the masses up towards the two, "They're right, you know. You are cute. Moka, isn't it?" He gave her a wink.
"Oh, hey! That's the creep." Cherri commented, looking over the railing.
"Ugh, I feel like I need a shower just being in proximity to him." Ty said as he shivered in disgust.
"His vibe makes me feel crusty, reminds me of times I would rather forget." Tsu stepped back from the railing.
"My name's Saizo Komiya. Remember it." Saizo then walked right up to Tsukune and picked him up by the collar. "What I want to know is…what's a girl like you doing with a thing like this?"
"Huh?!" Tsukune was shocked, while Moka looked on in worry.
The students around them began to whisper, "Saizo Komiya! I've heard of him!" "They say he's a real monster masher, ha, ha!" "He's always chasing girls…human girls." "He caused so much trouble i n the human world they sent him here. Kinda like reform school."
"Boss…" Fae said, a hard look on her face, from everything that was going on.
"Go ahead." Ty said simply.
Fae leapt over the railing and landed behind Saizo; the gathered males too dazed by her beauty to say anything.
Saizo dropped Tsukune to the floor. "Or maybe you just haven't had much to compare to him yet." He then gestured to himself. "You just need to experience something better…like me."
"Oh? Is that an open invitation?" Fae came up behind him,and whispered seductively in his ear. She wrapped her arms around his waist. "Cause I'd sure love to…" She blew lightly on his ear. "Try out the experience."
Saizo shivered a little, looking back at her, he gave a cocky smirk. "I'm sure I can find some time for you."
"Great, why don't you come with me." Fae grabbed his tie and began to pull him away, guiding him to who knows where.
"You two should probably get going before someone else gets the bright idea to try something." Tsu called down to their two new friends.
"Thank you." Moka grabbed Tsukune and began to flee the scene.
"Now the rest of you horny fucks. Behave." Ty called down and began to walk away. "Let's go before Fae actually does eat that creep. Wouldn't want her to get indigestion."
Fae had dragged Saizo out behind the school, she let go of his tie and turned to face him.
"Well, here we are. All alone. What are you gonna do to me?" Fae batted her eyelashes, a teasing smile to her face.
Saizo had been shocked with how forward and quick she was to get to business, that he had to take a second to get himself together.
"Uh…" Saizo quickly regained his confidence, and moved into her personal space. Resting a finger under her chin to lift her head, he started to lean in. "Why don't we begin.." Suddenly he trailed off, as his eyes widened in shock. Saizo dropped his hand and fell over unconscious.
"Oh, did I forget to mention I like it rough." Fae retracted her fist, which had been the cause of Saizo's current state. "Now let's see how YOU like being eaten."
Just before Fae could do anything, Ty came walking around the corner.
"Oh, you're finished up here. Come on, we've decided we'd take a tour of the school before finding our dorms." Ty turned around and began to walk back the way he came, Fae pouted and trailed behind him.
It would be hours before Saizo woke back up and found himself on the ground behind the school, with no exact knowledge of what had happened.
Tsu and Cherri were walking together the next day towards the school with the rest of the student body. Fae and Ty were sleeping in a bit.
"So, any idea exactly where we're gonna go from here?" Cherri asked suddenly.
"Well I imagine we go a few more blocks then turn into the gate." Tsu answered, it being more literal.
"Not what I meant. Yesterday proved that living here won't be easy. Think Ty will be able to control himself?" Cherri asked.
"I mean they're all just dumb teenagers, including us. They're basically walking bags of hormones and desires." Tsu looked around them at all the students. "Plus what else can we do? We got rejected from everywhere else. Unless you want to take over the school."
Cherri looked at Tsu suspiciously, "That felt like a reach there at the end."
Tsu waved it off, "Don't worry about it."
It was then ahead of them that they saw Tsukune and Saizo making a scene. Saizo had grabbed Tsukune by the tie, and was going to slam him into the wall.
"He's really going for that small dick energy award, isn't he?" Cherri commented then suddenly disappeared into the ground.
"...What's your true nature anyway?!" Saizo yelled annoyed, it was then Cherri burst out of the ground in front of him, and grabbed his arm. The pressure forced him to release his hold of Tsukune.
"Pretty sure it's against the rules for us to reveal that stuff, asshole." Cherri said.
Saizo glared, then smiled through the pain. "Well, aren't you another beauty, what's so great about this loser? Why don't you and me…"
"Not even if you paid me." Cherri then stomped on the ground and a pillar of earth slammed into his stomach, launching him back. "Now you can either behave or we can run into trouble again."
Saizo got up and began to walk away, holding the hurt area. "Just you wait, they can't be around forever to protect you. Next time I catch you around Moka. You're dead."
Tsu walked up to the now dou and helped Tsukune up, noticing that he had his luggage with him. "Hey bud, what's with all the baggage?"
"I don't know what to do, this school is too scary. I want to go to a human school." Tsukune told them.
"No! You can't go to a human school!" Moka came running up having to have heard at least Tsukune's words. 'I hate humans!"
"...What…?!" Tsukune was surprised by her words.
Moka then went on to explain how she attended a human middle school and had felt like a freak, from the words her classmates said.
"I thought it would never be any different…that is…until I met you all. For the first time, I know I'm not alone." Moka told them, bringing a sad smile to Tsu and Cherri's face. "You can't go Tsukune! We'll get through this together!"
Tsukune lowered his head and began to speak, "What if I were one of those humans you hate? Would you still stop me?"
"What?" It was Moka's turn to be surprised.
"He said, he's a human, Moka." Tsu said, scratching the back of his head. He looked over at Tsukune, "Look you don't have to do this. Saizo is just one guy, we can handle him. And if there are more, we'll handle them too."
"What's the point? This place isn't right for me. You guys will just hate me too, Moka already does." Tsukune looked at Moka's face, to see a face of uncertainty. "So now that you know I'm a human, that's how you look at me." Tsukune began to run off, Moka went to chase after him.
"Should we…?" Cherri asked Tsu.
"The creep is still lurking somewhere, we gotta at least keep an eye on them. We should also try to get in contact with the others." Tsu told her, pulling out a phone and dialing up Ty's number.
Tsukune was standing at the bus stop, lost in thought. "...But…is this really what I want…?"
"You know, that's a very good question. I mean you left things off in a pretty bad spot with Moka, and it seemed like you both were getting along well enough." Tsu rested an elbow on Tsukune's shoulder and leaned against him.
"Ah! Tsu?! How'd you find me? What are you doing here?" Tsukune was shocked by his presence.
"I brought him here, though honestly you're not that hard to locate. There's only one bus stop in this place." Ty said, he was leaning against the sign post. He let out a yawn.
"I couldn't just let you leave like that, especially after we were all becoming such good friends." Tsu answered. "Oh look there's the bus."
True to the monkey man's words the bus had come pulling up in front of them. The door opened up and revealed the driver, "Heheh, I knew you'd run away. I could see it in your face. Though I didn't expect it from the monkey."
"Oh no, I'm staying, just thought I'd see him off. After all, what are friends for?" Tsu explained.
"So boy, no regrets? Then climb aboard." The driver told Tsukune.
Tsukune stood there and processed the words that had been spoken to him by Tsu.
"Tsu, do you think humans and monsters can be friends?" Tsukune asked.
"I think anyone can be friends, as long as you put in the work and look past each other's differences." Tsu said.
Tsukune turned to face him with a determined look, causing Tsu to smirk.
Meanwhile at the same time Moka was by herself kicking a rock. "No, it can't be true. I finally make a friend…" Moka started to tear up. "I think I have a real friend for the first time in my life, and…"
Suddenly Moka found herself get grabbed up by Saizo, "...And what brings you here all alone?"
"Saizo!" Moka looked shocked.
"If you're lonely, I can take care of that!" Saizo had a disgusting look in his eyes, which spoke of a very unpleasant future for Moka. He threw her into some headstones that were nearby. "Heh, I'm serious. Your beauty is on a whole different level from the humans played with! I want you to be my girl, Moka Akashiya!" Saizo started to steam.
"S-saizo?" Moka asked in worry.
"Whoops, when I get excited my body starts to change. Then I just can't stay in human form." Saizo explained as he transformed.
"N-no. Someone help." Moka whispered out in terror. "TSUKUNE!" She yelled for her friend.
"Hahahaha! It's kinda breaking the rules but let's make out! Want to french?" Saizo completed his transformation.
"Saizo! Are you cheating on me already, and here I thought we had something special." Fae's voice called from behind Saizo, causing him to turn around and see her and Cherri sitting on a few headstones.
"What can you expect from a man, they see an easy mark and can't help but try and take advantage of her." Cherri said.
"Oh more woman, alright, now we're making it a party!" Saizo seemed to be lost in his lust.
"Oh we'll party alright." Fae said.
"But not in the way you're thinking." Cherri added.
Fae suddenly generated a small blue sphere in her hand, and threw it at Saizo, "Why don't you catch that for me sweetie."
"What?" The sphere crashed into Saizo's stomach right in the same area he had been hit yesterday. He got sent flying back through the headstones and on his back.
"Oh, what's wrong, big guy. Couldn't handle a little love tap?" Fae asked, getting up and walking over to him.
Saizo got up, holding the injured area. "What the fuck was that?"
"Oh nothing, just a simple aura sphere. Barely anything." Fae answered. "Now are we gonna party or what?"
Saizo let out an angry scream and tried to grab up Fae, only for a pillar to suddenly come shooting out of the ground and launch him into the air. Back by Cherri; she had just kicked out her foot, her heel still touching the ground.
"Oh no. Wonder where that came from." Cherri said more than asked.
Saizo came falling back down and landed front first back on the pillar before sliding off it. Now unconscious.
"Tsk tsk tsk. Always falling asleep before we get to the good part." Fae waddled back over to the group.
"Um, thank you." Moka tried to express thanks for the help. Fae mostly ignored her and sat back on the headstone.
"No problem." Cherri responded. "I'm just glad we got here in time."
"Come on, if Tsu did this right, then I think Tsukune might want to see you." Fae said.
As if summoned by their words, Tsu, Ty, and Tsukune came walking towards the group.
"Tsukune!" Moka came running up to him. "You came back! I'm so sorry…"
Tsukune held up his hand, "Moka, I realized I just can't run away and leave you, I…I want to be your friend. Yes you're a vampire but I really like you."
"Oh ho! What's this? A love confession? Tsukune, you sly dog, I didn't your plan was to put the moves on her." Ty popped up behind Tsukune, and let out a mischievous giggle. "Especially after it looks like she just got done being attacked."
Tsukune blushed and looked at Ty, "No! I didn't mean it like that! I don't like her…"
"Oh but didn't you just say you did." Ty cut in before Tsukune could finish his sentence.
"I didn't mean like that!" Tsukune said, exasperated.
"Ah, so you think she's ugly. Wow Tsukune." Ty continued to mess with him.
"No, she's really pretty." Tsukune said, his words causing Moka to blush.
"Thanks Tsukune." Moka was appreciative of the compliment.
It was what caused Tsukune to realize he said that out loud and blush even harder.
"Oh, uh, you're welcome." Tsukune said through his embarrassment.
"Well my work here is done, I'm going back to bed." Ty started to walk back to the dorms. "Someone do something about that thing." He pointed over his shoulder towards Saizo.
Later found Tsukune staring at his withdrawal letter, getting ready to rip it, when suddenly Moka came out of nowhere and glomped onto him. This caused him to rip it in shock.
"Tsukune! G'Morning! Watcha doing?" Moka asked with a bright happy smile.
The pieces of the withdrawal letter then got swept up in the wind. They both watched it flutter away.
"Hey, Tsukune. Th-th-thanks f-f-for…" Moka could barely get out a sentence. "Geez! I get so nervous around you!"
"Really?" Tsukune asked.
"And he's walked into her trap." Ty commented from above the two looking down from the railing.
"Let them have their flirting, and enjoy themselves." Cherri said from next to him on his left.
"Fine, but only cause it brings me entertainment to tease him about it." Ty smirked, as he watched Moka chase after Tsukune for his blood.
"I think we'll have an interesting time living here." Tsu said, he was to Ty's right.
"By the way you two, where is Fae?" Cherri asked, looking at her two friends.
Saizo woke up to the feel of a cool breeze, his arms feeling restricted, and rocks pressing into his back. Once all the cobwebs were gone, he came to find that he was bound by rope and dangling over a cliff.
"What the?!" Saizo was very confused with his current situation.
"Oh, you're awake, good." Said the voice of Fae from above him.
Saizo looked up to find her crouched and looking down at him from the edge of the cliff face.
"What the hell?! You better pull me back up bitch!" Saizo yelled up at her.
Fae sighed, and did something from her spot at top. Saizo found the distance between him and salvation suddenly grow.
"Yeah, see that ain't gonna happen. I was told to take care of you, and since Boss said I couldn't eat you well…" Fae trailed off. "So ready to take a swim?"
"What the? You're crazy. You can't do this. It isn't right! I'll fucking destroy you!" Saizo started to rattle causing him to swing. "You bitch! That pink haired whore! That weakling, and all the rest of your friends."
"You're right." Fae said simply.
"But before all that I'll…What?" Saizo stopped his tirade.
"I said you're right, I am crazy. Have been for a long while now." Fae told him. "But that's the only thing you're right about. Cause see, me being crazy causes me to do a lot of things, in order to protect those I care about. One of those things happens to be handling anyone that would dare threaten their happiness." Suddenly Saizo was getting lower and lower. "Boss worked very hard to give us all a new life, and I won't let anybody ruin his work. Goodbye, Assaizo."
Then with a flick of the wrist Saizo went plummeting into the ocean depths below. Fae stood up and stretched.
"I'm hungry." Fae commented.
