Chapter 6 The Cult

The sun had risen and the air was crisp, signaling the start of a new day. Marceline and Bubblegum were both tired from the events of the previous night, but they managed to keep up with the group.

As they entered the house, Me and Beth went straight to the kitchen to prepare breakfast, while Marceline and Bubblegum sat on the couch to rest. Bethmade pancakes and bacon, which were a hit with everyone. They all sat around the table, eating and chatting about the previous night's events.

"So, what do you guys think that Cult was trying to do?" Beth asked, breaking the silence.

"I'm not sure," Marceline replied. "But they definitely have some kind of connection to the Lich.. they have a bunch of crazy followers around and one of them is quite powerful. I've seen him, he Gammahawk."

Bubblegum nodded in agreement. "Yes, we need to investigate further. We can't let them get their hands on the Lich's power again or let this Gammahawk hurt anyone else in Ooo."

Finn added, "And we still need to figure out what's up with Shremy and the connection I have to him I can feel that we share something deep."

They all agreed that they needed to continue their mission to protect Ooo and uncover any threats that could harm it.

After breakfast, they all went about their own business. I went to the backyard to practice my sword fighting, Marceline went to her room to play her guitar, Bubblegum went to a secluded room inside our house to research the Cult,

As the day went on, they all took breaks to spend time together and catch up on each other's lives. Honestly Bubblegum wasn't a princess really anymore, more like a retired leader and Marceline and her seemed close. "Hey Beth, Finn the breakfast was good but how about we let those two talk for a while and we go around exploring?" Beth seemed excited for some time between us. She always liked it. "Yes, good idea! Let's have some fun together for once before defeating 'this cult'" We left the house, venturing out into the wild and untamed lands of Ooo. The grasslands stretched out before them, filled with vibrant colors and strange creatures. They walked side by side, enjoying the freedom of exploration.

As we roamed, we stumbled upon a peculiar sight—a group of dancing mushrooms. The mushrooms had sprouted little legs and were hopping around in a circle, singing a cheerful tune.

Me and Beth couldn't help but be drawn in by the whimsy of the scene. We joined the mushroom dance, hopping and twirling along with them, their laughter echoing through the air.

After a while, the mushroom dance came to an end, and the mushrooms stopped to catch their breath. One of the mushrooms, who seemed to be the leader, approached us.

"Thank you for joining our dance," the mushroom said, its voice high-pitched and cheery. "As a token of our gratitude, we shall grant you a wish!"

We exchanged surprised glances. A wish? This was unexpected, but exciting. We huddled together, contemplating what we should ask for.

"I know!" Beth exclaimed. "We wish for a magical map that leads us to hidden treasures in Ooo! and the cult!"

The mushroom leader nodded, and with a wave of its tiny cap, a small, glowing map materialized in Beth's hands. The map was adorned with intricate symbols and marked with various locations across the land and the hideout of the cult.

"Use this map wisely, and may it bring you great adventure and riches! And peace to our land" the mushroom said before hopping back to join its fellow fungi in their dancing.

We thanked the mushrooms and continued our exploration, now armed with a magical map and a sense of anticipation for what we might discover.

As we followed the map's markings, they encountered all sorts of oddities and challenges along the way. We stumbled upon a group of mischievous gnomes who challenged us to a riddle contest, and we had to outwit a clever troll guarding a hidden cave.

Through it all, Finn and Beth and myself laughed and worked together, our bond growing stronger with each shared adventure. We found ourselves in situations both perilous and absurd, encountering creatures that ranged from cute and cuddly to downright bizarre.

Eventually, as the sun began to set, we reached their final destination according to the map—a secluded waterfall nestled deep within the forest. The map had promised a treasure hidden behind the waterfall.

With cautious excitement, we stepped closer, feeling the misty spray on their faces. And there, hidden behind the cascading water, we discovered a chest shimmering with gold and precious gemstones.

The Finn Sword and Beth and myself looked at each other, our eyes wide with astonishment. we had found the treasure we had sought, and it was more magnificent than they could have imagined.

As we were collecting our newfound riches, we couldn't help but feel a sense of accomplishment and fulfillment. This random encounter had brought us joy and excitement, reminding us of the joy of pure adventure.

With the treasure safely secured, we made their way back to the old house, eager to share our tale with Marceline, Bubblegum, and the rest of their newfound friends.

"That was fun I guess with all this loot and the time we've spent outside and the map was gonna easily find the cult now no need to search for some boring clues!' Beth nodded "Yeah saving all this sweet time" And we went back inside Marceline's old house. "Hey girls guess what we've found" Marceline stared at me curiously, definitely she was cleaner now she took a shower. "Yeah?" Beth walked to her "We got a magical map, and this map can lead us to the cult" Bubblegum came to us quickly "Science I say it science but sure show me this 'magical' map" and she took the map from my hand analyzing the map "It's near the pup kingdom suck" Marceline sighed taking the map from her hands "Alright so this is where we're going." Bubblegum was a bit angry since she had done all her work for nothing "Luckily I did create a device to help us with a weapon" I stared at the retired leader. "Weapon? might come in handy now how about we go to this location and see what going on with the cult" Beth nodded in agreement her expression remaining neutral "I am for it, the king" She was cut shortly by Marceline "Yes this 'king' is BMO and somehow forgot Finn" The Finn sword was embarrassed and said "Wait he forgot my name really? jeez" Clearly even before this I never knew the name of one of the greatest hero "Yeah that's true" I said nervously, and with this embarrassing situation we all went to the marked location on the map.

When we had arrived we saw many peoples there and their leader. A dark blue skinned humanoid with dark red eyes from what we've learned he unnaturally good at negotiation and a good swordsman unlike the gang leader we've fought this one would be more challenging this time. Gammahawk our next target the leader of this weird cult worshiping the lich. Beth, Marceline, Bubblegum, the Finn Sword and I all walked in a group revealing ourselves to this man, clearly not happy to see us especially me. Marceline took her Axe-Base "Alright enough of this game, Gammahawk you're going down" As I was about to say something the leader spoke we all froze there he sounded like death. "Silence, you fool have outsmarted me many times and yet this Finn even in their next life they continue to beat me." He said pointing to me full of hatred "How many time do I have to say it? I always come back child I am the end and the beginning." He walked toward us "This mortal body is a mere vessel to me, Finn. Shremy." I was clearly confused and my allies were panicking Bubblegum took her device shooting the substance at the man creating a prison, made of a strong material she was quite fearful. "It's it's the L-Lich!" The Finn Sword gasped clearly shocked as we all reacted like this I lifted up the sword Finn had now a better view. Marceline was cautious. Gammahawk, or the lich started to whisper slowly "Fall." and we all did, and many of the minions and cultist of this crazy man came toward us.

As I had no will left I could hear the voice of the hero Finn "Stand up man I believe in you, you know the others are too tired or weaken by the lich words, but you you can do it Shremy" And with those words I was somehow able to stand up "Ye-Yes you're right we need to fight him" Summoning all my strength and determination, I rose to his feet, clutching the Finn Sword tightly in my hand. The weight of the responsibility rested on my shoulders, knowing that I was the only one who could stand against the power of the Lich.

The minions and cultists charged at me, their eyes filled with an unholy fervor. But I was, fueled by my connection to Finn and the words of encouragement, refused to back down.

With a mighty swing of the Finn Sword, I unleashed a wave of energy that sent the approaching enemies flying backward. My movements were swift and precise, his combat skills honed through countless battles.

Marceline, Bubblegum, and Beth rallied alongside Shremy, using their own unique abilities to fend off the onslaught. Marceline's Axe-Bass crackled with dark energy as she unleashed flames, Bubblegum used her scientific knowledge to create explosive concoctions with her device, and Beth showcased her acrobatic skills, swiftly dodging attacks while delivering powerful strikes all back on their feet

As we fought, the Lich watched with a malicious grin, unaffected by their resistance. He continued his dark incantations, attempting to manipulate their minds and drain their spirits. But Shremy, fortified by his unwavering determination, resisted the Lich's influence.

Finn spoke again saying his word the finn sword a hero of eternal legend facing the lich again "I gazed through the darkness to find starlight they illuminate to guide me tonight I know we've done this dance time and time again but this time I know I'll win with my friends."

Taking advantage of a momentary distraction, I lunged forward, his sword gleaming with a radiant light. With a powerful strike, we managed to sever the connection between the Lich and his vessel, causing a surge of energy to ripple through the room. His word had given me the courage to continue. I was the reincarnation of Finn, the greatest hero in Ooo alongside Jake.

The Lich's vessel crumbled to the ground, the dark essence dissipating into the air. The minions and cultists, now without their master's control, faltered and retreated, their fanaticism shattered.

Exhausted but triumphant, Shremy and his allies stood amidst the aftermath of the battle. The threat of the Lich had been temporarily quelled, but they knew that the fight against evil was an ongoing struggle.

As they caught their breath, Finn's voice echoed in Shremy's mind once again, filled with pride and encouragement. "You did it, Shremy! You faced the Lich head-on and emerged victorious. You are a true hero."

With renewed determination, I looked at my companions, a sense of camaraderie and trust strengthening our bond. We knew that their adventures were far from over, and that together, We would face whatever challenges awaited them in the land of Ooo.

And so, We regrouped, ready to continue our quest to protect Ooo and bring peace to its inhabitants. Their next adventure awaited, filled with unknown dangers and unexpected allies. But with me leading the way, wielding the Finn Sword and guided by the spirit of Finn, We were prepared to face anything that came their way.

Now with this immense threat we had the opportunity to form a close bond. I was a reincarnation Finn… yes and I could ask my new friends about my past. The finn sword himself and heck warn the King of Ooo about our victory and ask him more stories…

I guess it's Adventure time again!
