It all started that one eventful day when Lili was held captive for ransom, and how she refused to wait for help and instead took matters into her own hand; That one day, those few hours being tied up hostage, the few lingering seconds that felt hours watching the blood trickle down and bruises forming on her captors, snapped something within the once damsel in distress and triggered a sense of hunger for battle.
As the days turn into years, the desire for blood curling violence slowly burned into a need; a need she can't hold control anymore. Lili used all her patience and restraints left to endure the peaceful, tedious, days for summer vacation to come ahead so she could travel the world and find the perfect brawling opponents. Carefully she plans for the perfect time to tell her father dearest and made sure her excuse was believable enough that couldn't lead her father to suspect. Luckily, she manages to persuade him without a hitch!
When the week of summer vacation has arrived, Lili watches all of her suitcases and luggage through her mansion's glass window being carefully dragged into her family's private jet — which she'll be frequently using for her 'vacation'. As she watch the small pilot crew including her butler Sebastian board the jet before her, Lili's father Mr. De Rochefort, stood next to her with a proud grin on his face.
"I'm glad you're taking an interest to explore the world, darling. It's always good to learn more about other countries' cultures." The tall businessman puts a warm hand on her shoulder, the young lady smiles at this simple yet affectionate gesture.
"Yes indeed, father. I can't wait to see their 'famous landmarks and historical figures'." Lili giggles at her private underlying message. While she tried all her life to obey her father's wishes and be the ideal daughter, sometimes she would rebel against his desires and when she does, even the slightest disobedience filled her with both anxiety and excitement — though excitement often overridden the former.
"Although I am sadden that I can't accompany you, with all these company problems with the Mishima Zaibatsu these days..." Mr. de Rochefort frowns to himself, Lili gazes to him, eyes full of concern. It was true her father has been working himself to the bone that even his presence here alone was already time consuming for his schedule.
"It's no problem father. I can take care of myself."
"I know you can, but once you step out into the foreign land, you'll never what comes next. Losing you is one of the things I can't afford to happen, therefore I've assigned a bodyguard to accompany you!"
"P-pardon?!"
Before Lili could protest, her father walks away to another room and comes back with a young man following behind him. The boy wore a buttoned up black suit, a simple dark red tie and a matching red handkerchief in his left suit pocket with dark leather shoes. He had a short full fringe golden blonde hair and blue ocean eyes that contrasted to Lili's long light blonde locks and icy blue eyes; based on his youthful and charming cute looks, he seemed to be only a few years older than the lady herself.
"Darling, meet Leo Kliesen, he'll be going along with you as your personal bodyguard and make sure you're away from any possible danger." the businessman states proudly as Leo bows to his daughter. Lili continues to gape at her new bodyguard, her eyes kept darting at him then at her father.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, Ms. De Rochefort." the young man says with the expected formality, but his whole role wasn't; Lili did NOT foreseen this coming, but a part of her said she should've knowing her father. A swell of panic begins to crawl in the teenager as she curtsies back to the young man then sidles next to her father closer and speaks down to a whispering tone.
"F-father..."
"Now don't worry, he'll keep me update daily for any case of danger. I've chose to hire someone around your age so you'd feel more comfortable."
"Father..."
"When I was around your age, I had too my own bodyguard, though he was twice my age and I had a hard time cooperating and opening up due to the age gap and maturity differences. So I've searched long and hard for the perfect candidate, even having Sebastian's help-"
"Father!"
Lili feels immense regret for snapping at her own father, but he thought nothing of it and turns to her with an unfazed smile, his full attention now directed at her. She sighs. "I appreciate this, I really do. However I don't think it's necessary for me to have a bodygaurd wherever I go."
"I know, but since you were almost kidnapped four years ago...that day just couldn't get out of my head. You're my dearest flower, Emilie. I lost your mother, and I can't lose you too." Mr. De Rochefort held his daughter's hands onto his, his face reading a mixture of worry, sadness, and a hint of pain. Lili reflects his grievances for her late mother before giving in with a long sigh and a reassured nod. She knows her father is only doing what's best for her, and she can't blame him for that.
"Okay father. Thank you for everything and...him." Lili turns hesitatingly towards her new bodyguard who stood patiently in front of them, his face is neutral and calm as ever. Her eyes just narrows ever so slightly; now that he's around, how is she going to get away with her plan?
As the father and daughter had said their heartfelt goodbyes, Lili and Leo aboard the jet; Lili made sure he was at least a few meters away from her as she stomps her way towards her butler's seat, recalling what her father said about his involvement in the scheme. "Sebastian, did you know about this?!"
Sebastian jolts from his seat, the teacup and tiny plate in his hand clangs a little as Lili stares down at him with a hand on her hips and the other pointing at Leo walking into the passenger room. The old butler clears his throat and looks away, adjusting his glasses uncomfortably.
"Yes, Ms. Lili. I apologize for keeping it as a secret, but your father specifically said he'd tell you himself."
"Unbelievable..." Lili scowls then huffs away, flouncing towards the farthest seat in the jet. Usually she'd sit next or somewhere near to Sebastian, but these are one of the very rare moments when she's too upset to even tolerate his existence. Sebastian's heart panged with guilt.
Leo stops at Sebastian's saddened state; he had just seen how the lady spoke to her butler and stormed off, and he knew very well it was about him.
"I take it she isn't fond of my presence." Leo deadpans. Sebastian dejectedly nods. The young man wished he'd care, but Lili's opinion of him didn't matter much as it should and could only shrug in return. "It's fine. I'm not hired to be friends with her." He doesn't care if Lili can't look at him in the eye or even if they would have to resort to mutual silence forever; all Leo cares about is doing his job and keep her away from danger so he could her father's trust into becoming his successor instead.
With a successful oil company like Rochefort Enterprises, who wouldn't get tempted with an idea of overtaking all the riches and recourses someday for themselves? Except Leo isn't doing this for himself mainly, his truest goal was to use those advantages and avenge his mother by battling the G Corporation — whose head chair of the corporation, Kazuya Mishima, killed her years ago and was even announced as a world hero! What nerve! While the world sees Kazuya as a hero, all he sees is a murdering psychopath. Leo would do anything to get a chance to bring justice to his mother's murderer, even by means have to gain a successful businessman's trust by protecting his daughter for now and slowly step up becoming the head official.
As the jet departs into the air, the Rochefort manor and its helicopter tower slowly compresses in size and disappears from the jet's view.
Halfway the flight to Italy, Lili was still sitting at the farthest passenger seat while Leo sat just a few chairs away from her reading the latest news on his phone; There was only silence and no communication between them, which he didn't mind at all. Until Lili finally stands up and struts towards Sebastian seat and whispers something to him. The butler nods and stands up, then the two head to another room. Leo begins to stand up and follow, but Lili puts a hand up before he could.
"This is a private meeting between me and Sebastian — you're not needed around."
Her face is unreadable and her voice was soft but toneless. Leo was about to respond when the lady turns away and brisk walk to the other room and closed the door.
