(A/N: Okay, now it's time for Peach's escape from the Seaside Kingdom. You're probably wondering just how Peach escaped from Bowser in this place. Well, I'll start this chapter so you can find out how that attempt played out!)

Bowser's airship was now in the Seaside Kingdom. This is where Bowser would be able to find a special beverage known as Sparkle Water for the wedding toast.

"Oh, this is going to be good." Bowser said in happiness. However, there was a problem. The Sparkle Water was in Glass Tower, but there were 4 fountains shooting water from the carbonated sea into the fragile structure, where it mixed and made the drink. You would not be able to get the Sparkle Water without getting soaked.

"Looks like I'm going to have to swim out there and plug up those fountains so the Broodals won't get completely drenched while they're getting that treasured beverage for me and my blushing bride." Bowser said to himself as he went to his room and removed his wedding outfit.

He then went to the bride's chamber to see if maybe Princess Peach, the bride, was willing to join him for some fun in the Seaside Kingdom, but he discovered that she was currently taking a nap. And so was Tiara, who was on top of her head in her tiara form.

"Hmm... I guess Peach must be feeling tired and is now resting up for our wedding. Well, I'll cut her some slack and let her sleep. She's going to need her beauty rest." Bowser said to himself, and he left the room so that Peach could nap in peace.

Once the sound of Bowser's heavy footsteps faded down the hall, Peach opened her eyes. She wasn't really asleep, after all. She was faking it! After all she had been through, Peach decided that the next time Bowser came to fetch her, she was going to be asleep, and Tiara played along.

"Hey, Tiara. I don't hear Bowser's footsteps anymore. Would you please be a lamb and check to see if the coast is clear?" Peach asked the tiara, which caused her to open her eyes.

"Okay..." Tiara said as she assumed her Bonneter form, quietly opened the door, and flew down the hall. She wasn't sure where Bowser was, so she made sure to stay in the shadows, like a ninja, so if Bowser came by, he wouldn't see her. Just then, she caught sight of Bowser walking through the main room of the airship, completely naked! Luckily, he didn't seem to notice her.

"Whoa! That's a rather unpleasant sight!" Tiara thought, holding back the impulse to scream so Bowser would realize she and Peach were awake. But... he wasn't planning on doing anything to Peach during her 'nap', was he? She certainly hoped not, because Peach was tired of being a sitting duck.

But to her relief, he obviously wasn't, because he grabbed a big bag, marched out to the deck, and jumped over the side of the airship, landing on his feet in the sand below.

"Did he just...?!" Tiara asked herself. She flew out to the deck and had a look around. Bowser was down below, leaving ugly footprints in the sand, and the Broodals' airship was flying around Glass Tower. The Broodals all appeared to be on the deck of their ship (except for Rango, but she didn't notice).

"I... I think Peach and I are... alone..." Tiara said to herself in surprise.

Surprised, the young Bonneter flew back to the bride's chamber as fast as she could. Peach was right at the door, waiting for her.

"What's the verdict?" Peach asked her friend.

"Peach! Bowser is naked!" Tiara cried.

"Well, that's really nothing new, Tiara. I see him naked all the time." Peach said.

"Ewwww!" Tiara cried, grossed out. Then she added, "Anyway, I don't know exactly why he's naked, but you aren't going to believe this! He jumped ship! I have no idea why he would jump ship, but I saw him do it!"

"He did what?!" Peach asked, hurrying out to the deck to see for herself. She looked over the edge of the ship, and sure enough, she saw Bowser in the carbonated sea, swimming towards one of the fountains. He also had some sort of bag with him, and he pulled a huge cork out of it, intending to stick it in the fountain to plug it up.

"Oh my..." Peach said to herself. She could see that Bowser was up to no good, but that came as no surprise to her.

"What in the world is he doing down there?" Peach asked. She was starting to feel really glad that she hadn't gone with him, because if she had, he obviously would've forced her to take off the dress and join him in the water. Skinny-dipping was not something a proper princess did, and she really didn't want him to see her naked because it was bad enough that he himself was naked!

"Does it really matter what he's doing, Peach? The important thing is that he left us alone!" Tiara told her.

Tiara's words quickly registered in Peach's brain.

"What did you just say?" Peach asked, looking at Tiara incredulously.

"We're alone, Peach! He's down there, the Broodals are on their own airship, and we're still on this airship... by ourselves!" Tiara replied.

Peach thought for a moment, and then a huge grin spread across her face.

"Do you have any idea what this means?!" Peach asked, excitement in her voice.

"No..." Tiara said.

"Come on! Let's go back in! I just had the greatest idea ever!" Peach said, excitedly motioning for her friend to follow her.

Confused, Tiara followed her friend into the ship.

One minute later, Peach was in the control room of the airship, starting up the airship. She knew how to do it because she had seen Bowser do this many times before and paid close attention. He never noticed. Then again, Bowser never once dreamed that Peach would actually fake being asleep in order to get out of joining him to do something she didn't want to do in another kingdom!

"Peach, what are you doing?" Tiara asked.

"Something I wish I had been able to do when we were in the Sand Kingdom." Peach said.

"What?" Tiara asked.

"I know I couldn't do it that time because Bowser took me with him. If I had pretended to be asleep when we were there, I could have saved myself a whole lot of trouble and heartache, but I hadn't even gotten this idea during the earliest part of our adventure. Now I've got it, and I'm going to pull it off." said Peach.

"You mean we're...?" Tiara started.

"Turning this gravy-train around!" Peach finished as the ship's engine roared to life, much to her and Tiara's delight. Peach happily turned the ship around, and they began to leave Bubblaine.

Once they were on the move, Peach and Tiara started to breathe a lot easier.

"I can't believe this, Peach! We're actually leaving Bowser! He's going to find himself stranded at the Seaside Kingdom!" Tiara said as they left the Seaside Kingdom.

"I know, Tiara! I can't believe we're pulling it off either! This was almost too easy for us!" Peach said, smiling happily for the first time since this whole ordeal began.

"So, where are we going now, Peach? Are you going to go home?" Tiara asked.

"I'd like to, but I've got bigger fish to fry before I return to the Mushroom Kingdom. First, we're going to return everything that was stolen for the wedding." Peach replied.

"Okay. Our last stop was the Snow Kingdom, where Bowser had the Broodals steal that big cake." Tiara recalled.

"Then we'll go there first and return the cake. The cake Bowser really didn't need since I could have easily fixed one." Peach said.

"You mean you wanted to bake a cake for the wedding? But... why would you want to do that?! I thought you didn't want to marry Bowser!" Tiara replied.

"I don't want to marry him. But it wouldn't have killed him to ask me to prepare a cake, especially after that time he demanded I make him a big one and give him a galaxy-sized slice." Peach recalled.

"What?! Is he insane?!" Tiara asked.

"Most likely." Peach responded.

"Baking a cake that big is impossible! And besides, wouldn't a slice of cake the size of a galaxy give him a monster tummy ache?" Tiara asked.

"That's what I told Bowser! Preparing a cake that big was impossible, but he said that was a load of bull! The Koopalings could easily make a cake that size with their wands, so I suggested he ask them to do it, but he refused, saying that I was the one who was going to make that cake, by myself, without the use of any magic!" Peach said.

"Peach... I hate to ask, but... who are the Koopalings?" Tiara asked. She had a really bad feeling about the answer, but she figured she might as well find out.

"Bowser's 7 adopted children." Peach responded.

Tiara looked frightened.

"I know. I don't like the idea of Bowser being a father, either. But to answer your question about him getting a bad tummy ache, you're absolutely right. He would have ended up with one. And I'll bet if he had, he would've waited until Mario was front and center, and puked up the cake all over him!" Peach said.

"Gross! Poor Mario!" Tiara cried.

"Mario always said that I'm a wizard when it comes to cakes and cupcakes, but wearing a partially-digested one wouldn't make him very happy at all." Peach told her.

"Okay, now I see why you should have been in charge of the wedding cake. Had you made it, we could share it right now, and after eating our fill, we could share the rest with other people." Tiara said.

"That's a good idea!" Peach smiled at her friend.

Meanwhile, the Odyssey was smoothly sailing towards its next destination: the Seaside Kingdom.

"So they're serving Frost-Frosted Cake at the wedding, are they? Not if we serve them a defeat first!" Cappy said.

"Lo so. I know, Cappy. I'm not all that happy about it, either. Peach is a real wizard when it comes to making cakes and cupcakes. You haven't really lived until you've tried her angel food cake with buttercream frosting." Mario said.

"Whoa... That sounds heavenly." Cappy said.

"È da morire! It's-a to die for!" Mario said.

"Then it's gotta be good. I hope Peach will make some for us." Cappy replied.

"I know she will, if we ask her nicely." Mario smiled.

"So, our next stop is the Seaside Kingdom, huh?" Cappy asked.

"Sì." Mario replied, nodding his head.

Just then, the two saw something familiar fly by outside the window.

"Mama-mia! Was that what I think it was?" Mario asked.

"I... I think that was Bowser's airship!" Cappy said.

"Bowser's airship?!" Mario asked, looking out the window to see if Cappy was right.

Sure enough, it was Bowser's airship. But there was something odd about it. The vehicle appeared to be moving in the opposite direction!

"Wait a second! Look at this! His ship appears to be going the other way! You know, back to the Snow Kingdom!" Mario pointed out.

"You're right! It is! But why would Bowser want to go back there? He got the Frost-Frosted Cake, didn't he?" Cappy asked.

"He did. But I think we'd better set a course back to the Snow Kingdom. Maybe we can find out what's going on here!" said Mario.

So the plumber and the Bonneter quickly turned the ship around while listening to a song called "Turn the Beat Around". Then, as they made their way back to the Snow Kingdom, the song they heard was "Right Back Where We Started From".

"This is so crazy!" Mario said.

"I know! But remember, when we got to the Sand Kingdom, you wanted to turn around and head back to my kingdom, and then you wanted to do some more work in the Cascade Kingdom." Cappy replied.

When Mario and Cappy arrived in the Snow Kingdom, they went straight to Shiveria Town, where the Shiverians looked quite happy.

"What's going on?" Mario asked one of the excited Shiverians.

"Look! Our Frost-Frosted Cake was brought back to us!" the Shiverian pointed out. Sure enough, Mario saw the treat on the screen.

"I don't believe it! Bowser did take it back..." Cappy thought in amazement before asking, "Is the ship that brought it back still here?"

"No, the girl inside the ship told us we could take our cake back, so we did. As soon as we put it back where it belongs, the ship took off." a different Shiverian replied.

"'The girl inside the ship'?! That's gotta be Peach!" Mario shouted in surprise.

"Or Tiara!" Cappy added.

Then Mario asked the first Shiverian, "Which way did that ship go when it left here? You have to tell me; this is importante!"

"It was moving west." said the Shiverian.

"West? You mean, the ship is going back to the Metro Kingdom?" Mario asked.

"I guess. I don't really know." said the Shiverian.

"We'd better hurry up and follow that ship if we're going to get to the bottom of this!" Mario said. He then thanked the Shiverians for their help before using Cappy to quickly warp back to the Odyssey. They boarded their ship and made ready to follow Bowser's ship.

Back at the Seaside Kingdom...

Bowser had finished corking up the fountains, and the Broodals were able to gather plenty of Sparkle Water for the wedding toast. They told the Koopa King this news as they brought their ship down to the water, where he was swimming around.

"Great! Now Peach will have no other choice but to drink it and feel love for me at long last." Bowser grinned. He told the Broodals, "Take the Sparkle Water to my ship. It's floating over the sand by the water's edge. In the meantime, I've got to set up some seals that will keep those fountains corked up!"

"We're on it, Boss!" Topper replied.

But while Bowser was setting the seals to keep the fountains corked, the Broodals encountered a problem as they flew over the water's edge. They couldn't find Bowser's ship!

"Where is it?" Hariet asked.

"Didn't he say it was around here?" asked Spewart.

"I'm pretty sure he did." Topper said.

"But it's not here!" Hariet said.

"Is this some kind of sick joke?" Spewart asked.

"If he's yankin' our chains, he's in a lot of trouble! Let's go find him and give him a piece of our minds!" Topper said, and so they went to go look for Bowser again.

During that time, Bowser had just finished prepping the last seal. The Bubblainians would never be able to undo those seals!

"And that's a job well done!" Bowser said, dusting off his hands.

That's when the Broodals flew to where he was, and they did not look happy with him.

"Huh? What's going on? Why do you guys still have the Sparkle Water with you? I thought I told you to take it to my ship." Bowser said.

"Yeah, dat's kinda hard to do when we can't find your stupid ship!" Topper replied.

"What do you mean?! My ship is not stupid, and it's right in plain sight! You should be able to see it!" Bowser said.

"Is it, Boss? Is it really?" Hariet rudely asked.

"Don't you take that tone of voice with me, little missy!" Bowser demanded.

"Hey! You can't yell at our sister like that! Only, Topper, Rango, and I can!" Spewart replied, standing up for Hariet.

"I'll yell at her if I want to, and you idiots can't stop me from doing so because I'm bigger than all of you put together!" Bowser roared.

"We're goin' to yell at you because we're about ready to quit! And unless you tell us where we can find your stupid ship, we're outta here!" Topper shouted, which caused everyone to cool their jets.

"Okay, look. I'll board your puny ship, and then I'll direct you to where my airship is. Sound fair enough?" Bowser asked.

Topper, Hariet, and Spewart quickly conversed in whispers, and after a minute, they nodded at each other.

"All right. Come with us." Topper said as they turned to look at Bowser. So the Koopa King boarded their ship, and he told them where to go.

But when they got to where Bowser knew his airship was supposed to be, he saw that the Broodals hadn't been lying. HIS SHIP WAS GONE!

"Wha-?! My ship! Where did it go?! It... it was right here! I swear it!" Bowser said.

"You think maybe the bride moved it?" Spewart asked.

"That's not likely! She doesn't know how to drive my airship! She'd never attempt to try anything as stupid as that because she'd just crash it!" Bowser said.

"Unless she activated a cloaking device in the ship. That is, if your ship has one of those. Does it?" Hariet asked.

"No! It wasn't a feature when I had it built, and I never thought to install one!" Bowser groaned.

"Well, we're gonna have to think about installing one on ours after we finish plannin' dis weddin'. But for now, let's try to find your runaway airship!" said Topper.

So Bowser and the Broodals looked all over the Seaside Kingdom for Bowser's airship, but despite their best efforts, they could not find it.

The airship in question was currently flying over New Donk City. Peach was so happy to be away from Bowser that she felt a song coming on. The intro for "Fun, Fun, Fun" by the Beach Boys started up, and when it got to the part where the lyrics come in, Peach sang, "Well, I started Bowser's ship and we peeled right on out of Bubblaine now."

Recognizing the melody of the song Peach was singing, Tiara came in with her own verse, "You know, I'm really surprised he ain't watching us just like a Great Dane now."

Peach smiled at her friend and sang, "But I've got an idea that will send his wedding plans down the drain now. And we'll have-"

"Fun, fun, fun 'cause the princess took the airship away!" Peach and Tiara sang together, laughing in delight. It felt so good to be away from Bowser and not have to deal with him and his bad attitude! Peach wished she'd thought to do this a long time ago!

"Okay, so what do we have to return next, Peach?" Tiara asked.

"Let me think..." Peach said, trying to remember. Then she said, "Oh! I remember now. It's the Soirée Bouquet. That came from the Wooded Kingdom. We'll have to go there next."

"But after we finish up there, we'll be going to the Lake Kingdom, and you'll have to return the Lochlady Dress. That means you're going to have to take off the dress and change back into your pink dress. You'll want to change before we get there." Tiara said.

"I'll be glad to do that, because I hate wearing stolen clothes. So we're going to make a quick stop in the Cloud Kingdom first so I can change my clothes." Peach said.

"Is there anything you want me to do while you're changing, Peach?" Tiara asked. She knew better than to be in the room with Peach.

"Yes, Tiara. I would like for you to go out to the deck and be a look-out. If you see Bowser or the Broodals coming, let me know right away so we can start the ship and escape from the danger before it can reach us." Peach told her.

"Can do, Peach!" Tiara happily replied.

When they reached the Cloud Kingdom, the girls stopped the ship, and Peach eagerly made her way to the bride's chamber to change out of the Lochlady Dress and back into her trademark pink dress. The princess was happy to get out of the wedding gown and change back into her own comfy clothes.

Tiara, meanwhile, was out on the deck, being a look-out, watching in case Bowser had realized that his ship was missing. He might have joined the Broodals and asked them to help him look for the ship.

Suddenly, Tiara saw something in the distance, and it was heading towards Bowser's airship. She started to feel very afraid. What if Bowser had caught up to them?

On closer inspection, the approaching object appeared to be an airship, but it didn't look like the Broodals' airship. It looked kind of like a red top hat with a big white sail over it.

"It can't be..." Tiara said, her eyes widening in disbelief. The only airship that looked like that was the one piloted by Mario and Cappy. But Bowser shot them, and their ship, down, and this was the kingdom where it happened.

"Is it possible?" Tiara asked herself.

As it got closer and closer, Tiara could see that the object was indeed what she thought it was. However, she wasn't sure if it was real, or if it was a ghost coming to haunt them. Frightened, Tiara flew back into Bowser's airship as fast as she could, screaming at the top of her voice, "PEACH! PEACH!"

At that moment, Peach was coming out of the bride's chamber, now dressed in her normal attire with her hair down. She was very much surprised to hear Tiara screaming.

"Tiara! Honey, what's the matter?!" Peach asked as the terrified little Bonneter flew straight into her arms for safety.

"I... I s-saw something!" Tiara cried, shaking like a Super Leaf in Peach's embrace.

"Was it Bowser?" Peach asked. If it was, she knew that she was gonna be in big trouble.

"NO!" Tiara cried.

"Thank goodness!" Peach thought, heaving an inaudible sigh of relief.

"But I... I-I think I saw a... a ghost!" Tiara replied.

"A ghost?! What kind of ghost?" Peach asked.

"Ghost ship! A gh-ghost of the ship... Mario and C-Cappy were... p-p-piloting!" Tiara cried.

"What?! Are you sure?!" Peach asked in concern.

"I... I saw it with my... m-my own eyes!" Tiara exclaimed.

"Okay, don't be scared, Tiara. I'm here, and I've got you. We'll go out there and look together." Peach said.

"I can't look, Peach! I don't want to see a ghost!" Tiara wailed in fear, shutting her eyes tightly.

"All right, Tiara. You don't have to look if you don't want to." Peach said as she started making her way to the door that led out to the deck, holding the still-shaking Tiara in her arms.

As she reached for the doorknob, she heard a familiar-sounding voice on the other side of the door, saying, "Bowser! Open up! I know you're in there, you jerk! And I know you still have my princess and Cappy's sister in your evil clutches! Let the girls go, and I'll spare you!"

"Oh my gosh! That voice! It sounds just like... Mario! But is it really him?" Peach thought. She had to find out. She let go of Tiara (who flew behind her) and started to open the door very slowly and carefully, but Mario saw the door moving, and he grabbed the knob and quickly pulled the door open.

"WHOA!" Peach cried in surprise, losing her hold on the doorknob and falling on the floor.

"Peach!" Tiara cried in alarm, opening her eyes to see her friend lying on the floor.

Imagine Mario's surprise when he saw that it wasn't Bowser on the floor, but the woman of his dreams.

"Peach! Mi dispiace tanto! I'm so sorry!" Mario exclaimed in surprise and remorse, holding out his hand to the princess, wanting to help her stand up again.

Peach looked up and saw Mario standing before her, looking worried about her and offering his hand to help her up.

"Mario! I-I can't believe it! You're alive?!" Peach exclaimed in surprise as she took Mario's hand, which was solid, much to her relief.

"Sì." Mario replied, helping her to her feet.

"But... but how? I saw Bowser kill you!" Peach cried.

"He didn't. He thought he killed us, but unfortunately for him, we survived." Mario said, and he explained what had happened, how they ended up in a kingdom that seemed to be unknown, except the Toad Brigade seemed to help him rediscover it.

"After we repaired the ship with some Power Moons, we continued our journey. After fixing things in New Donk City and the Snow Kingdom, we were on our way to the Seaside Kingdom. That's when we saw Bowser's ship turning around." Mario continued.

"Speaking of the owner of this airship, where is he?" Cappy asked from Mario's head.

"Cappy!" Tiara cried, recognizing her brother's voice.

"Tiara! Are you okay?!" Cappy asked, assuming his Bonneter form and giving his sister a hug.

"Now that you're here, yes!" Tiara replied, returning her brother's hug.

"Is Bowser here, Peach?" Mario asked.

"No, and here's what happened: Tiara and I were pretending to take a nap when we reached the Seaside Kingdom. I had a pretty good feeling that Bowser probably wanted me to see whatever he wanted to steal for the wedding from there (or something worse than that), but I figured that if I was asleep, maybe he would let me off and just let me sleep." Peach said.

"So he left you girls on the ship by yourselves?" Mario said.

"Yeah, and he was stark naked when he did it!" Tiara said.

Cappy was disgusted at the thought.

"Yes. With Bowser gone and me and Tiara being the only ones on the ship, we thought it might be fun to escape from him. So I started this gravy-train and turned it right around." Peach said.

"Mama-mia! You mean to tell me that Bowser's still in the Seaside Kingdom?! You're saying that you left the royal nudist stranded there?!" Mario asked, his eyes widening in surprise.

"Yes, Mario. That is exactly what I'm saying." Peach replied.

"Peach, taking Bowser's ship and leaving him stranded at the Seaside Kingdom took real guts. Sono così orgoglioso di te. I'm so proud of you!" Mario said as he hugged Peach tightly.

"And I'm so happy to see you again!" Peach said as she leaned down and kissed Mario on the lips, which really surprised him. He was expecting a kiss on the nose or the cheek, which was the norm whenever he rescued her. A kiss on the lips was something he never expected to get from Peach. But it felt so good.

"Wow..." Mario said, his face turning bright red. He was unable to believe what had just happened. But then he snapped back to attention with his face returning to normal as he said, "Either way, now that we're together again, it's-a time for me to take you and Tiara home."

"Not yet, Mario. I want to return the rest of the wedding supplies before I go home. I already returned the Frost-Frosted Cake." Peach started.

"We know that. When we saw Bowser's airship going in the opposite direction of ours, we had to get ourselves turned around right away so we could find out what was going on." Cappy said.

"We stopped in the Snow Kingdom, and the Shiverians told us that a girl in the ship brought their cake back to them. I knew that girl was you." Mario said.

"You're really smart, Mario. Intelligence is a quality I find very attractive in men." Peach said.

Mario blushed heavily at that.

"But yeah, all we have left to return are the Soirée Bouquet, the Lochlady Dress, and the Binding Band." Peach said.

"Those items were stolen from the Wooded Kingdom, the Lake Kingdom, and the Sand Kingdom, respectively." Mario replied, remembering when Cappy read up on those kingdoms before their arrival.

"Then we'll have to continue moving west." said Peach.

"I have an idea, Peach. It might help you and Tiara feel a little safer, too." Mario said.

"What is it?" Peach asked.

"You and Tiara can ride with us in our ship, the Odyssey, and we'll take the wedding supplies with us." Mario said.

Peach and Tiara jumped at the chance to get out of Bowser's ship.

"But Mario, I don't think the Binding Band is going to fit in the Odyssey." Cappy said, looking over at the Binding Band on the deck.

Mario looked, saw what Cappy meant, and said, "Okie-dokie... Then we'll just tow Bowser's airship behind us as we go."

"Oh. Okay. But it would be a lot easier to tow if we had a piece of rope tied to it." said Cappy.

"I saw a big length of rope in Bowser's ship. We can use that to tow his ship." Tiara said.

"Brillante! Brilliant!" Mario said.

"All right. Tiara will grab the rope, and I'll get the Soirée Bouquet and the Lochlady Dress. Those can easily be carried in the Odyssey." Peach said as she and Tiara went back into the ship.

"Okie-dokie." Mario said.

Mario and Cappy waited patiently for the girls. It took a minute or two before Peach and Tiara emerged with the items they mentioned.

"Grazie. Thank you, Tiara." Mario said as he and Cappy each took an end of the rope. One end was tied around the bow of Bowser's ship, and the other end was tied around the Odyssey's stern. After making sure the knots were good and strong and wouldn't come undone, everyone boarded the Odyssey, and they set a course to the Wooded Kingdom.

Before long, all of the wedding supplies were returned to their respective kingdoms, much to the excitement of the people who lived in the different kingdoms.

"Well, now the wedding can't happen." said Tiara.

"True, but what are we going to do about Bowser's airship? We don't want to keep it, and if we hold onto it, he'll hurt us. Do you think that maybe we should leave it somewhere else for him to find?" Peach asked.

Mario thought for a moment, and then a huge smile spread across his face.

"Sì, and I know the perfect place!" Mario said.

Later, they were in the Lost Kingdom. Upon their arrival, Mario and Cappy cut through the knots, separating the two airships.

"Are you really sure we should leave Bowser's ship here?" Peach asked as she looked around the place. It didn't look safe.

"Peach, this is where Cappy and I ended up after Bowser, like a dumb dope, shot us down in the Cloud Kingdom. He most likely assumed that we fell to our deaths." Mario said.

"Well, okay. If he doesn't know this place even exists, then I guess he deserves it." said Peach.

Then Mario remembered something.

"Wait, Peach! You told us that Bowser was running around naked in the Seaside Kingdom, right?" Mario said.

"Yes, Mario. He obviously left his tux on the ship." Peach said.

"Then we've got to find his hat." Mario said.

"It's probably in his quarters, but I don't know where his room is." said Peach.

"Let's board the ship and split up. We'll find it a lot faster if we do that!" Tiara said.

"All right!" said Mario.

"Why do we need his hat?" Peach asked.

"So it can be nabbed by that crazy bird, Klepto, or maybe it'll punch Klepto's lights out!" Mario said.

"Oh no! I forgot that stupid bird was here!" Cappy moaned.

"Don't worry, Cappy. He'll have something new to look at if we can find Bowser's stupido wedding hat." Mario assured his friend as they boarded the ship, quickly found Bowser's hat, and then took it out to the deck and left it outside for Klepto to find.

"So, shall we go home now?" Mario asked.

"Probably. Tiara and I are going to have to make some major repairs on our home, which doubles as an airship." Cappy said.

Mario and Peach eagerly offered to help the pair fix their home, and after all the two had done to help them up to this point, Cappy and Tiara hadn't wanted to refuse the help. They gladly accepted it.

Not long after Mario and his friends left, sure enough, Klepto did find the hat, and he snatched it up in his talons. But then one of the boxing gloves came out of the hat and punched Klepto five miles away. However, the force of the punch caused Klepto to drop the hat, and this happened when Klepto was flying right over the poison swamp. The hat fell into the swamp, filled up with poison, and slowly sank beneath the surface, never to be seen again.

At this time, Bowser realized that his ship was definitely not in the Seaside Kingdom, so this meant that Peach had obviously learned how to drive it, and she took it somewhere else.

"But where would she have gone?" Bowser asked.

Topper threw in a suggestion, "Maybe she went to your kingdom?"

"Why would she go there?" Bowser asked.

"Maybe she wanted to tell your kids that she's going to be their mom?" asked Hariet.

"You could be right about that. Jr. would be overjoyed to have Peach as his mother, since I once had him completely convinced that that's who she was." Bowser said.

"So let's go see if she's there!" said Spewart.

Bowser and the Broodals flew to Bowser's Kingdom, only to find that Bowser's ship wasn't there, and after speaking with Jr. and the Koopalings, they learned that Peach was not around, either.

"Maybe she went to the wedding venue?" guessed Rango, who was coming around.

"Okay, I hope you're right about this..." Bowser said.

After helping Cappy and Tiara fix their home in Bonneton, Mario asked Peach if she was ready to go home yet.

"Actually, I think we should head back to the Seaside Kingdom and undo what Bowser was going to do over there. For all we know, he already did it." Peach said.

"No, we can't go back to the Seaside Kingdom! What if he's still there?" Tiara asked.

"I don't think Bowser's that stupido, Tiara." Mario said.

So Mario, Peach, Cappy, and Tiara took the Odyssey to the Seaside Kingdom, where the fountains were corked up, and some giant purple creature was perched on top of Glass Tower, sucking up what was left of the Sparkle Water through a straw. But Mario uncorked the fountains and defeated the creature, putting Bubblaine back to normal.

While our friends worked in the Seaside Kingdom, Bowser checked the Moon Kingdom to find no trace of his ship, and none of the wedding supplies inside the chapel. Now he decided it was time to backtrack. He didn't want to check the Seaside Kingdom because if his ship wasn't there earlier, why would it be back there now?

"Perhaps we should check the Snow Kingdom. That's where the guy with the mustache beat me up for stealing the cake." said Rango.

"What did you just say?!" Bowser asked, hoping he heard that incorrectly.

"The mustached guy beat me up in the Snow Kingdom!" said Rango.

"Mario's still alive?! I thought I killed him! That does it! We're going to the Cloud Kingdom, and then we're going south of there to see where that puny plumber was supposed to die when I shot down his pathetic ship!" Bowser demanded.

"Yes, sir!" said Topper, and so they went to the Cloud Kingdom.

Once everything was taken care of in the Seaside Kingdom (even though they couldn't return the Sparkle Water), Mario and Peach were able to head home at last. They were happy to be together again.

"I'm so glad you're alive. I thought I'd lost you, and I'd never see you again. Mario, I don't want to imagine my life without you!" Peach said as she hugged Mario tightly.

"I know how you feel, Peach. And I was kind of hoping to hear you say those words." Mario said.

"What do you mean?" Peach asked, letting go.

"Well, Bowser kind of pushed me into doing this sooner than I had planned." Mario said as he got down on one knee and reached into the pocket of the outfit he had on.

"Oh my goodness!" Peach gasped as Mario produced a small, black velvet box.

"I love you, Peach, and because you love me, too, I was hoping that maybe you wouldn't mind spending the rest of eternity with me..." Mario began. He opened the ring box to reveal the ring inside, before finishing, "As my wife."

"Mario..." Peach gasped, tears of joy in her eyes.

"Princess Peach, will you marry me?" Mario asked, looking at Peach with love in his warm blue eyes.

"Oh, Mario... I thought you'd never ask... Of course I will!" Peach exclaimed as she glomped him.

"Yaaaaaaaay!" Cappy and Tiara cheered as Mario managed to get the ring on Peach's finger. Both of them were crying happy tears as they kissed, and Cappy and Tiara congratulated the couple on their engagement.

While Mario and Peach celebrated their impending nuptials, Bowser and the Broodals found out that below the Cloud Kingdom was a place that seemed to be forgotten.

"So this is probably where that stupid plumber ended up and unfortunately survived. I didn't think he would find himself in the land that time forgot." Bowser grumbled.

"Hmmm... This doesn't really look like The Land That Time Forgot..." said Hariet to herself. Madame Broode showed them that movie, and this place didn't look anything like the movie showed.

After a few minutes of searching around, Bowser found...

"MY SHIP! IT'S HERE!" Bowser shouted in excitement. He ran to the ship and jumped on the deck to find something that really made him sore. The wedding supplies were not there!

"Oh no! The wedding supplies! They're gone! Where are they?!" Bowser screamed. He ran inside the ship to find out what happened to everything.

Bowser's worst fears were confirmed in less than an hour. The supplies were not in the ship, and Peach had changed out of the wedding dress, and all that he had left of her were the gloves and shoes she had been wearing with the Lochlady Dress. Speaking of the princess, she was nowhere to be found, either.

It got even more puzzling when Bowser went to the room where his wedding tux was. The suit and his shoes were right where he left them, but his hat was gone. He couldn't find his wedding hat.

"What could she have done, and where the heck is she?" Bowser asked as he came out of the ship, dressed for the wedding again, sans hat.

"What's up, Doc?" Topper asked.

"I'm really mad. Something happened to the wedding supplies, my hat, and the bride!" Bowser yelled.

"Well, if this is the land that time forgot, do you think that maybe she took your hat and gave it and the supplies to the people that time forgot?" Rango suggested.

"That's stupid!" Spewart replied, bonking Rango on the head.

"My bride is a princess! If she saw them, she'd get the heck out of here!" Bowser said as he and the Broodals looked around the kingdom for his supplies, and the princess. They were nowhere to be found.

At a lack of better options, Bowser had no choice but to return the Sparkle Water and call off the wedding, and the Broodals weren't going to be getting paid, which prompted them to decide that if they got called upon to plan another wedding in the future, they were going to make sure to ask for the payment in advance.

It wasn't until after Mario and Peach were married and ruling the Mushroom Kingdom together that Bowser found them and forced them to tell him the whole story. Peach had indeed taken the airship, and while she was taking the supplies back to where they were stolen from, she learned that Mario had survived, and so they finished that job together.

After returning the supplies, it was Mario's idea to leave Bowser's airship in the Lost Kingdom.

"You idiot! What if I never found my ship?! What then?!" Bowser roared in anger.

"Why do you think I wanted to leave it there?" Mario retorted.

"Oh, you're a scream..." Bowser muttered sarcastically.

"As for your hat... I left it out for that crazy bird, Klepto, to find." Mario said.

"He must have found it, because I sure didn't! And I never did find out where it went! That dumb bird also drove the Broodals to insanity, too, by stealing their hats when they least expected it!" Bowser said.

Mario didn't dare tell him about Klepto stealing Cappy, because he knew Bowser would make some snide remark about it being a good thing, even though poor Cappy had been terrified out of his mind.

"And after we fixed what you did in the Seaside Kingdom, I asked Peach to marry me!" Mario said.

"What?!" Bowser said.

"And I said yes!" Peach replied.

"You didn't!" Bowser said.

Mario and Peach showed him their left hands. Mario was wearing a gold ring on his finger, and Peach wore two rings, the engagement ring, and the wedding ring.

"Are we lying?" Mario asked, seeing the look of complete horror and Bowser's face and enjoying it immensely.

"You two ruined everything!" Bowser complained.

"No, we didn't, Bowser. You brought that upon yourself when you tried forcing me into marriage and attempted to kill Mario." Peach said.

Bowser didn't know how to respond to that. With nothing better to do, he left the royal couple alone and went back to his own kingdom to figure out how he was going to plot his revenge.

The End

So in this attempt, Peach took the airship away, and when she and Mario were reunited, they had a better plan to mess with Bowser's head. There's still one more escape attempt, and that's the other one Peach spoke of in "We Can Work It Out", so if you want to read it, stay tuned!
