Greetings everyone! This is my first My Hero Academia fanfic! Like I said in my Danganronpa fanfic, I always read other people's fanfics and one day I thought to myself, "Why not join in?" So that's what I am doing here. This fanfic is both for fun and to help me be a better writer.

This fanfic was inspired by "Remnant's Mightiest Heroes!" by I Am The Prophet and "Doom- ONESHOT" by Lord Wolfe. Both stories are great! You should give them a read!

Something I should point out is that this is JUST a ONESHOT! This oneshot is a proof of concept, basically. I have NO INTENTIONS of expanding it into a full series. So yeah, there you go. It's a free story, so if you want to use it, go ahead. Just PM me first to ask for my permission first and make sure you credit me. Remember people: Give credit when and where credit is due. If you plagiarize, shame on you.

I do NOT own My Hero Academia, it is owned by its respective creator(s)/owner(s).

Well with that all done and out of the way, I hope you like and enjoy it!

U.A. High School.

The number one hero school in Japan.

A hero school where famous heroes like All Might graduated.

A school that is now starting a big event.

That big event being…the Sports Festival.

The Sports Festival is an event that is televised all over Japan. The day of the festival was perfect; it was sunny, clear skies with no clouds in sight, making the sun pleasantly warm for the people attending the festival. Temperatures were perfect, not too hot but not too cold. Again, just perfect.

People were filled with excitement and anticipation, both those in the stands of the stadium and those in front of screens. All was about to start with a hero course student, Katsuki Bakugou, being selected to begin the festival with some speech that was maybe about the importance of the festival, how proud he was of being here, or something similar (the reality was he had a plan in mind. A plan that not many were going to like).

He opened his mouth, taking a deep breath, and right when he was just about to say when he had planned to say…

…the stadium along with the entirety of U.A. was engulfed in shadow.

Now one would think that the reason why the stadium and U.A. was engulfed in shadow is because the sun was being blocked by a series of large clouds…except as mentioned before, there were no clouds in the sky. It was clear skies.

Another reason could be that there was an eclipse on the day of the festival. That is a plausible reason…except there was no mention of an eclipse happening on the day of the festival, absolutely no mention AT ALL.

If that is the case, that there are no clouds and there is no eclipse happening on the day of the festival, then that begs the question…

What is blocking the sun…?

Everyone at the stadium and the cameras looked up, looked at what could possibly be blocking the sun…

…and everyone's eyes, both in the stadium and in front of screens, grew the size of plates and their jaws dropped to the floor when they all saw a giant sword!

The giant sword looked to be high tech. The sword looked big enough to carry entire cities! Maybe even all of Japan!

Then a series of portals circled around and in the arena; from each portal, soldiers in purple armor uniforms with green accents armed with what appeared to be advanced weaponry marched out. Then more portals appeared all over U.A. and more soldiers came out with the same weapons. Everyone looked at the soldiers in tension, especially the heroes as they were getting ready for a big fight. That was when a giant hologram appeared above the stadium. The hologram showed the leader of the soldiers and it showed a person in high tech, possibly alien-like green and purple armor with a helmet that opened to reveal a blue face with white markings and white eyes. He stood with hands clasped behind his back and he stood tall, exuding power, confidence, and experience. His blue face looked down at everyone, and it almost looked like his white eyes were glaring at them (but what everyone doesn't realize is that he is mostly glaring at the heroes).

"Greetings, everyone." The leader's voice sounded oddly young. He sounded like a teenager. Yet he spoke like that of a pharaoh. "I am Kang the Conqueror." The word "Conqueror" made everyone's hearts spike. "I have traveled through time to come here." That also made everyone's hearts spike. "I have come here through time with a goal that I plan to achieve."

What goal is that? A question that is in everyone's mind.

"What goal is that you might be wondering?" A soft smile graced his lips. He spread his arms out wide. "To create a world where everyone is equal. To create a society where none shall have to fear of being discriminated against, where none will be looked down upon by their quirk or lack thereof." He explained with narrowed eyes, speaking the last two words with venom.

That doesn't sound so bad. Some people were intrigued by that. However some, such as Eraserhead and Nezu, knew that was too good to be true. There had to be something to this time conqueror, so kind of catch…and it turns out…

"However, in order to do that…" His voice calmed and his eyes narrowed less as he brought his hands back behind his back, clasping them again. "...I need to conquer the world."

…they were unfortunately right.

"And I'll do that…" He brought his right hand out, raised it in the air… "...by starting here." …and brought it down, as if emulating a guillotine's blade coming down to slice off a person's head.

This signaled his soldiers to begin attacking, firing their weapons. Once the soldiers started attacking, that's when all hell broke loose. Civilians, both in the stadium and in front of TVs, along with UA students were horrified to see many heroes that fell before the soldiers before the other heroes along with the hero students began fighting back. It was a helter skelter, where civilians were trying to get away from the soldiers while heroes and hero students tried their best to fight off said soldiers and get civilians to safety. Eventually, the heroes and hero students found out that the soldiers were robotic, which meant they could happily go all out without having to worry about holding back. Despite not holding back, the robot soldiers were tough and both them and their weapons were very capable, they were not like the robots UA used, such as in the Entrance Exam; they were more.

It was not just UA that was invaded but it also was happening all over Musutafu and Japan! Within minutes, Japan was overrun by legions of robots. Communications to and from the rest of the world were cut off, with the only way of what is happening to Japan are the cameras at the stadium that were still continuing to roll and capturing the conflict between heroes/hero students and robots. It was thanks to the increased presence of heroes at the now canceled Sports Festival due to the USJ that they were able to fight off the robots. Soon, heroes and hero students managed to defeat the robots, reducing them to scrap metal and thinking that everything is alright.

"Is that the best you can do?!" Yelled out a certain blonde pomeranian to the conqueror, glaring at him with mini explosions going off in his hands while smirking.

Kang looked down at the explosive pomeranian as one would an insect. Kang then chuckled in dark amusement and smiled at him. This smile sent chills and dread down Bakugou's spine along with everyone else's. This smile was one that one would give when they are about to squash an insect in dark enjoyment.

"You had to ask." A certain brain washing quirk user annoyingly grumbled.

Kang brings out his right hand again and snaps his fingers, which creates giant holographic screens surrounding his holographic form. Each screen showed large towers that were being set up all over Japan.

Everyone was wondering what the purpose of the towers were, until Kang explained.

He revealed, "What you heroes," He spat out the word like it was poison. "have done, helped me." That made everyone feel like their hearts skipped a beat. "You helped me study your defenses. You helped me analyze each of your quirks, your strengths, your capabilities, but most of all…" His smile widened. "...your weaknesses. What you heroes just did was not a battle. No," He shaked his head. "this was not a battle, because that would imply that you defeated my forces. No, what you did right now…" He spread his arms out wide, gesturing around him and his smile widened in glee. "... was a simple case study." Everyone's eyes widened in absolute shock and their jaws fell off.

A "case study"?! What does he mean by that?! Questions that everyone is thinking at the same time.

It was then that Kang did the impossible, the unthinkable. He presses a holographic green button on his left wrist.

When he pressed that button, the towers activated…

…which caused everyone's quirks to shut off.

All over Japan, everyone's quirks shut off; Bakugou's hands no longer making explosions, Endeavour's fire extinguished, All Might being reduced to his base form (which shocks people nearby), and so on. But the thing is…it's all quirks. Meaning that includes mutations. Mirko loses her rabbit attributes, Hawks loses his wings, Nezu loses his intelligence, Mina Ashido can't make acid and no longer looks like an alien, Mashirao Ojiro's tail falls off like it was cut, and so forth.

It was similar to Eraserhead's quirk but much more powerful.

With a push of a button, Kang turned Japan to what it once was before quirks appeared.

With a push of a button, he made everyone in Japan who had a quirk…

quirkless.

It would be safe to say that any hope of defeating Kang vanished like the quirks of all of the quirked individuals in Japan.

Once everyone's quirks were shut off, the robots suddenly repaired themselves and resumed their assault. Without the aid of quirks, the heroes and hero students were losing the fight.

No, correction: Kang did say that a fight or a battle would imply that they could defeat his forces. But this wasn't a fight. No, instead this was a case study. But now, with the robots repaired and resuming their assault, now this was no longer a case study.

This was now the start of a slaughter, a decimation, a massacre.

The beginning of a conquest.

The prologue of the epoch of a time traveling villain beginning to create a society where everyone is equal by first conquering Japan and then the world.

Kang was standing, watching holographic screens showing his forces crushing any and all who stood in their way. He was in the command center of his ship, the Damocles. All around him, technology was highly advanced, centuries beyond what scientists at I-Island could even dream of. There were more of his soldiers, but these ones were built more for attending his ship than for combat, however they were still capable of fighting nonetheless; each of them were sitting and attending consoles, diligently working. The command center was mostly gray, except for the floor being purple. In the front of the command center, there was a live image of Musutafu. Right behind Kang was a massive throne that had steps leading up to it.

With a single thought, he ended the holographic transmission at the stadium. He could've done the same thing when he made Japan quirkless, since his technology was neurokinetic, but he wanted to make a show of it.

He sat down on his throne, his right leg over his left. Before he leans his head on his right hand, he mentally commands his armor to remove his helmet, revealing a teenager with black-greenish hair, green eyes, and freckles on his cheeks.

This teenager was Kang the Conqueror.

This was Izuku Midoriya.

Izuku exhales through his nose, taking in what he is seeing on the holographic screens. On the outside, he looks calm. But on the inside, he is excited, his mind and heart are racing.

It has begun. His plan is starting, his plan of remaking the world in his image, where everyone can be equal, regardless of their quirk or lack thereof; a society free of discrimination.

Yes, he is finally here, after a long and arduous journey. Finally, here, back in his present time to begin achieving his goal.

Now you might be wondering: Back in his present time? I thought he was from the future.

Well not exactly, he did travel from the future, but he did originate from here, in the present, that he is now returning.

You see, a villain, with a quirk called Disappear which makes things disappear by making energy balls that would disappear anything that they touch, took Izuku as a hostage in a grocery store when he robbed the place and tried to flee but failed due to a hero who was close by. Izuku was in the store because he wanted to grab a snack after school.

Soon things turn from bad to worse when the arrogant and cocky hero tried to fight the villain and rescue Izuku, only to have the villain end up using his quirk on Izuku in the fight.

Now you might be thinking that was the end of Izuku Midoriya, right?

Wrong. Because the villain's quirk didn't actually make things disappear, that anything his energy balls touched did not actually simply cease to exist. No, what the villain's quirk actually does is send things through time. And that is what happened to Izuku, he was thrust through time, specifically he was sent to the future.

The 40th century to be precise.

Izuku was hurled through the time stream and soon popped out and was dumped in an era of war and advanced technology. He was dumped in an area where there was a battle going on, and so, scared and confused, he searched for a place of safety where he found an abandoned scientific complex where he locked himself inside. The interesting thing about Izuku is that he grew an interest in technology when he found an old pre-quirk era hero comic among others he forgot he had that was about a hero using advanced technology to help fight crime. Izuku found this hero book when he began selling off his All Might Merchandise.

Why was he selling off his All Might Merchandise?

Because weeks prior to being sent to the future, All Might crushed his dreams like they were crackers. That is why he began selling off his All Might Merchandise.

Moving on, because he found the old pre-quirk era hero comic, Izuku began studying more and more about technology and thanks to that, he grew very knowledgeable on technology. Through studying and through trial and error, he grew accustomed to the futuristic technology. In time, he created a sort of battle suit and weapons to fight off various beings of the future era. Soon, with his skill, analysis, weaponry, and charisma, some bowed down to him and Izuku began amassing an army. Within weeks, he began creating an empire for himself and studying more about the 40th century's technology, thereby creating more weapons and upgrading his battle suit. Within months, he conquered Earth and learned all there is about the 40th's century technology, thereby perfecting his weaponry and battle suit, turning his suit into neuro-kinetic armor. Soon, he became Kang the Conqueror. While conquering the world, he began trying to find a way back home until he found a way: time travel via a time machine. He found this out by discovering an old and ruined library filled with knowledge, including everything there is about quirks. After conquering the world and studying how to time travel, he built a time sword-shaped warship, the Damocles, and used it to transport himself and his forces back to the present day with a goal in mind: Create a world where everyone is equal by conquering it.

Of course, he knew there would be obstacles that would get in his way, he wasn't stupid. One of the biggest obstacles were heroes.

He internally scowled.

Anger and bitterness built up within him. He absolutely despises heroes, right up there with those who look down upon him, like he was less than trash that the world would be better off if he was gotten rid of. His hatred and resentment of heroes stems from All Might crushing his dreams and also watching Bakugou be attacked by the sludge villain. He wonders what would've happened if Death Arms hadn't stopped him from running in at the last minute. Maybe he would have impressed All Might that he would have taken him in and taught him how to be a hero.

He internally scoffed at those thoughts and got rid of them.

Whatever. That's in the past. He is here in the now.

Going back to how he came to be, he and his forces travel back here to the present, a day after he disappeared into the future and then figuring out the perfect moment to strike. He first went to his mother, who was originally saddened by the fact she received news from the police about Izuku's supposed "death", until he appeared to her in his armor. She was both happy and confused as to how he appeared before her which he explained to her about what exactly happened to him. She of course was saddened and horrified to hear what happened to her son, but is glad he is with her.

She asks him what he is going to do, if he is still going to be a hero (which he scoffed at) and he responded that he will not become a hero. Instead he was going to conquer Japan and then the world, and then set about his goal. She tried her best to convince him not to do it, but ultimately she failed. Afterwards, he took her on board his ship to protect her when he begins his attack.

While waiting for the perfect moment to attack, he learns what happened to the hero and villain: the hero wasn't punished for his actions but instead praised for taking down the villain, despite what happened to Izuku. He got his revenge on both, however he thanked the villain for sending him to the future, for without him, Izuku wouldn't have gotten to where he is. He bid the villain his thanks before Izuku killed the villain and the hero.

Izuku eventually figured out that the perfect time to strike was the Sports Festival, since all of Japan would be watching. And so that was when he planned to strike and initiate his plan.

While waiting for the festival to start, he did also learn that Aunty Mitsuki and Uncle Masaru both mourned his "death", but Bakugou didn't care about Izuku's "death". In fact he was glad that an obstacle has been removed from his path to being the number one hero in Japan.

That made Izuku clenched his left hand into a fist and his lips pressed in a thin line.

That…that right there is what Japan and the rest of the world is. What made the current society all messed up, that someone like Bakugou-a quirkist bully who only cares about himself and views everyone else as nothing but stepping stones while people praise him and his flashy powerful quirk, someone who suicide baited Izuku-can become a hero. Not only that, but quirks are everything in this society, that if you have a flashy powerful quirk, you are praised, and yet if you have a weak or useless quirk, a villainous quirk, a mutant quirk, or quirkless, then you are discriminated against. And not just quirks but also heroes as well. Heroes are seen as almost like gods, put on pedestals, and looked up to by many. They are considered perfect and are never wrong, and anyone who disagrees or speaks out against heroes is shunned and possibly branded as siding with the villains.

That is what society is.

The corners of Izuku's thin line began to turn upward.

But no more. No more discrimination. No more inequality. No more of this quirkist, hero society. It ends now. The age of quirk and quirkless discrimination and hero worship dies here and now. With its death will come the birth of something better, an age of equality for all.

Izuku again takes in the holographic screens but also most of all, he takes in the live image of Musutafu. Looking at what is lying before him, Izuku Midoriya cannot help but smile.

Get ready and prepare yourselves. Bakugou. Aldera. All Might. UA. Heroes. Villains. Japan. World.

Why? Because Kang the Conqueror is here.

Kang begins to softly chuckle in anticipation.

There is nothing they can do to stop someone like him-but he does so hope that they will try.

Conquest is uninteresting without conflict!

And that is a wrap, folks! A big THANK YOU for reading my first MHA fanfic! This version of Kang the Conqueror, if you will, was inspired by Kang from the MCU (Johnathon Majors did an AMAZING JOB as him!), Kang from the TV series The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes, and Kang from the comics.

Like I said in the beginning, that this is JUST a ONESHOT! This is a proof of concept, NOTHING MORE. I have NO INTENTIONS of expanding it into a full series. HOWEVER, it IS a free story, so if you want to use it, GO AHEAD! Just PM me first to ask for my permission first and make sure you credit me. Again remember people: Give credit when and where credit is due. If you plagiarize, shame on you.

Please leave constructive criticism, what you liked, what could have been improved, etc.

I should also say that I will be making another one shot like this one, except it is going to be Izuku as Iron Lad! If you don't know who Iron Lad is, he is basically a teenage version of Kang who rebelled against his older self and instead decided to become a superhero and time traveled to the present. Check out the Young Avengers comic book series by Allan Heinberg and Jim Cheung if you want to learn about Iron Lad.

Another thing I should mention is that I will be releasing a chapter on the anniversary of my first fanfic, Danganronpa: Gamer's Luck! Super excited for it! And man, I tell you, time sure flies by FAST!

Anyway, thanks for reading and have a nice day/night!
