Chapter Eleven – Explosions
Amy suddenly gulped, as she looked at everyone.
"Kids?" She stammered. Having heard the Sonic Boom for herself, plus that enormous second one, she was dumbfounded. But the Blue Blur in front of her, was still here, and now, finally, she realised he definitely wasn't her precious Sonic. But Rouge just squealed.
"The kids. Are you sure?" She cried. She recognised the Sonic Boom. That was Max, but the mere thought of him bringing Pearl and Scarlet with him was terrifying. But Sukko just heaved, and smiled at her.
"Rouge. Max had got them. They'll be fine. I had a hunch that something was going on last night, during the campfire." He admitted. "Not on Angel Island itself, because that would have set off my old telepathic alarm system, that I set up during the war against Eggman, but on the planet below us. But I was so tired, I just couldn't think straight, like now, to be honest." He sighed. "You may have noticed, I'm missing my coat. That's no accident. I slipped it when we all got captured, leaving it behind. It's my old 'calling card' for trouble. I can guarantee Max has got it, and just like Sonikku before him, he'll move heaven and Mobius to get it back to me." He grinned. But Rouge just shook her head, smiling.
"Oh, you clever boy." He praised. But Sukko just shrugged.
"The King of Stealth and one half of the Hero of Mobius. I have to be. We wouldn't have won against Eggman otherwise." He admitted. But Shadow suddenly rounded on him. He growled.
"So, you did do it together." He hissed, but Sukko just rolled his eyes.
"Er, yeah, and not take advantage of the unique situation we had." He grinned, sarcastically. "We have all met before I showed up Angel Island, it's just you didn't know it." He giggled, of which everyone just gasped. Suddenly, Sukko, however, had just finally had enough. He growled. "I don't know about you, but I'm wanting out of here." He hissed. Everyone agreed, but wondered how when Sukko proceeded to, to everyone's total surprise to squeeze himself, very quickly, sideways between two of the bars of his cell. Barely ten centimetres apart, his cartilage skeleton just squeezed and flexed, but when he passed his groin sideways between the bars, he squealed, in agony, swearing hard. He heaved. "Oh, it's a good job I don't want any more kids." He shuddered, to much giggling. Finally, with his head dangerously narrowing, he finally was through, panting. Tails was seriously impressed, but as he thought about it, how else would he use such a ability. As the King of Stealth, he'd squeeze himself in and out of impossible locations.
Suddenly, as he stood in the middle of the small clearing of the prison, Dr. Starline still unconscious at his feet, when finally, at long last, out of nowhere, his eyes glowed a deep blue and streams of bright blue hue of luminescent vapour exploded from his hands. Sukko's eyes lit up in pure delight. He grinned.
"Alright people, we are back in business." He beamed, but suddenly, he grabbed his head and screamed. Long, sharp and hard. His Chaos Sorcery was indeed exploding and punching it's way through the Beta Blockers, but it was excruciatingly painful. The worse pain he'd felt in a long time. Tails squealed.
"Sukko. You alright? Have you got a technique coming through?" He wondered. But Sukko just kept holding his head, still bend double. He growled.
"Oh, yeah." He grinned. But Tails was throughly unimpressed. He hissed.
"Well, come on then. Punch through it and let's get out of here." He leered. But Sukko just cried, squealing at the intense pain. He heaved.
"Easier said then done, Fox." He spat. But Tails just outright lost his temper wit the Blue Hedgehog. How could he be so numb about everything? He roared.
"Well, I don't care, you git. Just get on with it." He spat, and suddenly Sukko just looked up at him. He smirked, behind his deep bright blue eyes, the Magic still streaming around him.
"I can see why he liked you, Fox." He breathed, indicating his brother, as suddenly, he stood upright very quickly, and with a roar of pure defiance, he pushed the fledgling Magic towards each of the cells doors, as the bright blue hue of luminescent vapour turned into the power blue aura of technique that was coming though. Wrapping itself around each of the doors, Sukko pushed hard, but Amy just screamed, causing the mighty Blue Hedgehog to round on her, growling and hard, his head throbbing the intense pain, his temper on the verge of firing again.
"Oh, will you shut up." He shouted. "My name is Sukko Zachariah Phronshentico, and I am the greatest Sorcerer in the entire dam galaxy. I was born three minutes before my identical twin brother, Sonikku, otherwise known as Sonic The Hedgehog and I'd suggest that if you want to get out this place alive, then keep that trap of yours, shut." He announced. Amy goes absolutely white, silenced, and just nodded, as suddenly, the Magic exploded as Sukko pushed on all the doors and with an almighty burst of power, he busted all them open, including the prison entrance. Chaos Sorcery could punch through, with enough force, Chaos-Reenforcement. They all exploded with as bang, as Sukko just collapsed to the floor, the Magic immediately dissipating, it having nothing left to give. The rest of it was still trapped behind the Beta Blockers.
Immediately, Sukko had Shadow and Knuckles either side of him, pulling him to his feet. Unbelievably, the Sorcerer was still awake, but extremely dizzy, still in huge pain, and mumbling to himself. Tails ran out to them panting, as he and Knuckles just looked at each other. The Fox gulped.
"Was that Telekinesis?" He stammered. Knuckles just nodded.
"Yeah." He gulped. He'd seen Psychokinesis on Silver, he knew what it looked like. But Tails just gasped, looking at the incredible Blue Hedgehog.
"Wait. He said that was one technique...of eight?" He squealed. "What are the others? Just how powerful is he?" He stuttered, as they all just stared, at the Sorcerer who was drifting in and out of consciousness. Suddenly, the commotion had caused attention, and guards could be heard heading straight for them through the open prison door. Rouge growled.
"Who cares. Let's go." She panted, indicating the door, and they all immediately ran for it, carrying Sukko with them.
Max, Violet, Pearl and Scarlet all just cuddled each other, very frightened. Suddenly, there all voices around them searching the area, and squealing, they all fell silent, desperate not to be found. There were several people milling around and the words 'speedster' and 'Hedgehog' could be made out but nothing more. All shaking with terror, they held their nerve and finally, the people moved off, and soon they are all alone again. No one moved for a good ten minutes, to make absolutely sure. Finally, they all let go, blinking at each other. Physically, all of them were fine, just very shaken. Pearl, heaved, looked up to the Hedgehogs.
"Ok, now where?" She asked. But Max and Violet just looked at each other and gulped. Neither now had no idea. Beyond here, their trail had gone cold. Both shook their heads, and suddenly, Pearl just cried, wondering if she see her mother again. There was silence until suddenly, it happened.
Max.
He screamed, in the worse pain he ever felt in his life, as he immediately buckled to his knees. Immediately, all three girls grabbed him, and looking up, their all saw his eyes glowing a deep, vivid blue of Magic. He seemed to be some kind of trance. Violet, grabbed his head.
"Chaos Sorcery." She hissed. "Papa told me what it looked like." Both Scarlet and Pearl whimpered in fear. But the Bat frowned.
"But Max doesn't have Magic?" She wondered, but Scarlet squealed, almost bouncing in them.
"But his father does, and he's with our parents." She gasped, but Violet growled, silencing the others. She snarled.
"Then quiet." She hissed. "I want to try something. Max is blood to him, he might be able to hear us." She heaved, now wondering just how powerful Sukko really was. She place her forehead against Max's, and closed her eyes. "Master Sorcerer." She called, politely, but timidly. "It's Violet, Scarlet and Pearl. We are here with your son. We are looking for you, but are lost." She admitted. "Please Sir, can you tell us where you are." She pleased.
There was a long pause, and suddenly, there was a explosion of Magic came from Max, was wisps of blue went everywhere, as he screamed again, grabbing his head. He squealed.
"Come on, Dad, where are you?" He pleaded, as though the Magic was desperately trying to communicate with him, but desperately struggling. Suddenly, it collapsed, the Magic suddenly vanishing, Max falling to the floor in tears. He cried.
"Dad." He wailed. But Violet grabbed and shook him very hard. She growled.
"Max." She hissed. "Max!" She spat. "Did your father tell you where he was?" She snarled, now desperately angry. But Max just sniffed.
"No, but he's in big trouble. He been given Beta Blockers, powerful drugs that temporally block out Chaos Powers. He told me about them." He whimpered. But Scarlet frowned.
"Hey, if your Dad's been given them, then our parents would have been too." She hissed, but Max nodded.
"But they don't completely block out Chaos Sorcery. It's physically impossible. The Chaos Power is just to wild, so it just explodes out, the number of techniques it has." He stammered. "But Dad's got to be really careful. This could kill him." He gulped. But Pearl jut grabbed him.
"Hey, your Dad's the brother of Sonic the Hedgehog. If anyone can get through this, he can." She smiled, but Violet frowned.
"How many techniques does you Dad have? We're seen one." She asked. Max nodded.
"Eight, and with every explosions the Magic gets stronger. Dad's knows we're calling, so he should be able to give me more information as to where he is with each one." He stammered, clearly not liking the idea at all, but they didn't have a choice. It was the only lead they had.
Suddenly, they heard voices again. Violet growled, now taking the lead for the group. She hissed.
"We're been here long enough, we have to move." She growled. Immediately, the others agreed and followed Violet down the small underground tunnel, hidden from view, away from the voices, and out of Station Square.
Tails, Knuckles, Shadow, carrying the Sorcerer between them, and Rouge and Amy, all ran out of the prison door. They ran down the endless corridors, that twisted and turned around corners, one after the other. They were in one of Eggman's old base's, one that survived the clean up and dismantle, but it wasn't one any of them knew. It was insanely large.
Soon, Dr. Starline was conscious and up, ordering that all of them be slaughtered on sight. Suddenly, as they rounded on by guards in both directions, and immediately shot at. Thankfully, Shadow's Extra Sensory Perception and super high-speed reflexes were all functioning fine, as he pulled everyone to safety at the last second. But they were cornered, bullets flying everywhere. He growled in frustration. He could have taken those guards, but powerless, he'd just be mown down. He'd survive, being immortal, but the other's wouldn't. Between them, they had no weapons and no powers, and when Tails tried to hack the system using a nearby console, it was just too complicated. But he didn't have to time, as he had to flee the flying bullets. They were trapped, and had nothing. But Tails just looked the Sorcerer. No, they had something. He violently shook the Blue Hedgehog. He growled.
"Sukko, wake up. We're trapped." He squealed. They had a matter of minutes before a guard rounded the corner and killed them all, where they stood. Suddenly, Sukko opened his eyes, but they were very blank. Tails shook him again. "Come on. Anything in the tank? Your the only one, at the moment, who can fight back." He pleaded. But Sukko just blinked out him, so out of sheer desperation, Tails just slapped him around the face, which shocked everyone, but it worked.
Suddenly, Sukko bolted upright, his eyes glowing bright blue, the Magic exploding again, but he screamed in pain. Knuckles smiled.
"Technique number two?" He asked, Tails nodded, grinning inanely, as without warning, he just grabbed Sukko by the arm and violently threw him out to the line of flying bullets. But the Sorcerer didn't go down. He just threw out his hands to the side and out stretched his fingers, as the Magic around him did indeed show the second technique. A pair of mighty blue shields for formed out from his hands, which caught the bullets flying from both sides, and then with an enormous burst of anger, Sukko just pushed the shields outwards, launching them down the corridors, straight back at the guards, taking them all out in the process, clearing out the entire corridor.
Suddenly, the Magic vanished, as Sukko was left violently swaying. Tails hugged him, pulling back to the side and safety. He beamed.
"Yes, Force-Field Generation, nice one." He beamed, and suddenly, the Sorcerer was grabbed again as they moved further through the base.
As the young Hedgehogs traveled across the countryside, with Scarlet on Max's back and Pearl are Violet's, they were all hoping for a message soon from the mighty Sorcerer. But Max, however, wasn't. With every explosion through the Beta Blockers, Sukko was potentially getting in more danger, his life at risk. Plus, it hurt a lot, the sudden migraine excruciatingly painful. He was going more white, and suddenly, it happened again, the Magic painfully exploding from him.
Suddenly, as though the Purple Hedgehog wasn't in control, he weirdly sat up and pointed a very specific direction. Violet grabbed the hand and bowed slightly. She beamed.
"Thank you, Sir. Please hang in there, we're on out way." She stammered. Sukko nodded through his son. Suddenly, the Magic gave way, leaving Max returning to normal, severely shaking with pain, his eyes streaming with tears. But Violet grabbed him, shaking him hard.
"Max, stay with me." She hissed, then she heaved. "I know it's painful. I can see it in your eyes. I see pain in my Papa's eyes everyday. But you must stay strong, your father's life depends on it. The more explosions he has, the more of a chance we have of finding him and saving him and our parents. But you have to concentrate, Max. Block the pain, as best you can and listen to him. The fewer explosions we need to find him in, the better." She sighed.
Max heaved, still sat on the floor, looking to at Violet. He nodded. He loved her so much and she now had his back. Not just his, but Sukko's too. She oosed her father, Shadow's, incredible strength, stubbornness and loyalty, and Max now left desperately honoured to have it. He gulped, as he got to his feet. Yes, he now wanted to be strong, as much for her, as his family, and they gather themselves together ran in the Sorcerer's direction. His father, Sukko.
Max growled.
Yes, he was going to do this.
As Sukko was dragged though the base, he was barely conscious, and every time one of his Magical techniques, extremely painfully, awakening through the very hefty Beta Blockers, Sukko was just thrown directly into the line of fire. The Sorcerer could easily take it, and several times he sent everyone fleeing for their lives, especially when the Pyrokinesis and Illusions suddenly exploded, forcing his new friends to duck for cover. Sukko's lightning and huge pale blue electricity bolts may have been fake, illusions, but as he sent them down corridors and into rooms, they quickly caused a lot of damage, especially when the Sorcerer put enough power behind them. Even fake lightning could kill.
Hiding from the utter chaos, Shadow gasped, utterly gobsmacked, as he turned to Tails. He had been grabbing guns and ammo, to fight back, but Sukko was the real firepower they desperately needed. He frowned.
"That's four techniques, right?" He stammered. Tails nodded.
"Yeah, he said he had eight." He agreed. But Shadow just gulped, having never seen anything like it. The only person he knew of that had that amount of equivalent Chaos Power was himself, and he'd had huge amounts of genetic engineering on his mind, for him just to be able to cope. Suddenly, he heaved. "How does he keep a lid on all that power." He wondered. "How does he not get utterly consumed by it?" He growled. But Rouge just giggled.
"Oh that's easy. Sparky's the most down-to-earth person I've ever met." She smiled. Suddenly, Sukko appeared out of nowhere, his eyes still glowing blue, right in her face. Their noses almost touching. She blinked, but the Sorcerer just exploded in pure delight. He grinned, the Chaos blocking drugs now leaving him feeling tipsy.
"Yes." He squealed. "I got one. A Rouge-y nickname. Sparky. I love it." He beamed, and promptly grabbed her forehead and kissed it, before immediately disappearing to who knows where, leaving her going absolutely scarlet. Everyone just outright giggled, Sukko just proving the exact point. Rouge sighed.
"He's crazy." She stammered, but Tail just nodded.
"Er, yeah. But consider who he is related to, we shouldn't be that surprised." He admitted. Sonic was outright famous for some of the sheer craziness he could do. Suddenly, Knuckles was back, propping an unconscious Sukko up on his shoulder. The Beta Blockers for everyone now were beginning to wear off, and Knuckles was getting some of his strength back. Not enough to fight back, but enough to carry the mighty Sorcerer easily on his own now. He growled.
"It's clear. Let's go." He ordered, and no one arguing, everyone moved.
