Hey! Yarn kitty's back with a fresh story. This story is not a crossover, but it's my first individual Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous fanfiction so I hope you enjoy it!

The campers already know each other before they leave for the island, and they get stuck there. Just a heads up so you don't get too confused.

"Yo, Brooklynn!" Yaz shouted from across the street, "Are you heading over to the investigation center yet?"

"In a little bit!" Brooklyn yelled back, "I'll meet you there!"

"When are you leaving?"

"In like ten minutes. Why?"

"I was thinking we could walk together."

"Oh sure! Let me take out the trash and do the dishes then we can head out." Brooklynn began walking toward her house, "I'll come to your house when I'm ready!"

"Sounds like a plan!" Yaz turned on her heel and skipped to her front door. She twirled around in the breeze before heading to her room.

It was a lovely Tuesday evening, one of the nicest since winter ended. Up here in Oregon, the weather seems to be cloudy—too cloudy for Yaz's taste.

Eight minutes later, the doorbell rang, sending Yaz shooting downstairs to answer the door, "Ay, girl. You're two minutes early."

Brooklynn chuckled, "So you ready or what?"

"Ya, I'm ready," Yaz slipped her phone into her pants pocket and glided out the door, closing and locking it behind her.

"I wonder if Ben and Darius are there yet?" Brooklynn queried.

"I texted Darius. He should've arrived five-Ish minutes ago—he's walking with Ben," Yas placed her index finger on her chin, "I know Sammy is coming straight from horse lessons, so she should arrive after us."

"What about Kenji?"

Yaz waved a dismissive hand, "Kenji's always late."

The duo walked into a vast parking lot, pretty much empty besides the black van and red Honda parked at the front of a building. There was also the mail man's bicycle parked crookedly between two parking spaces.

Yaz and Brooklynn walked directly to the entrance, two glass doors, tinted so you couldn't see what was going on inside the building. The girls entered the six-digit code and entered the spacious building. The walls were painted an ugly blue with black doors and hardly any windows. Honestly, the structure and color choices made the place look abandoned and suspicious.

Yaz quivered. She hated entering this building—it creeped her out.

The girls walked to the end of the hall and made a left turn, then a right, and another left. They walked straight forward to the doorway at the end of the hall. Since the lighting was dim in the building, you could barely make out the wooden plaque on the door that marked the room as H2E. Yaz slowly turned the doorknob and forced the heavy door three feet wide. The girls slipped in. They found Darius and Ben sitting on opposite ends of a conference table, giving the gals small waves.

Since the rules at the Investigation Center were very strict, everybody was scared to make any gesture to big.

Brooklynn and Yaz returned the wave and then bowed to the head director.

"Take a seat, girls," The head director, Kendrick Hines, gestures, "Your friends will be arriving soon."

So that's the chapter. I'm trying to make the chapters I write in this story short to make them easier to read. Sorry if the first chapter is boring. I just had to explain the setting, but hopefully things will get more interesting. Stay tuned for more content coming soon! Reviews are encouraged! Thanks for reading!
