Chapter Fifteen – Sorcerer
Sukko, though being throughly awkward, wasn't going to leave his new friends, to return back to normal life, without a bang of pure generosity. He was due imminently back at the hospital, but had made arrangements with his boss, Frank. He had one more day left, on Angel Island, before he had to go, so why not make it count.
Sukko didn't have to work at the hospital. He had originally worked there to support Sonic and the war effort, by providing the finances. The Blue Blur didn't get paid to fight Eggman, so his brother paid for him. But once the war ended, he went back as a means of coping with his brother's loss, and never left. Nowadays, he just enjoyed the job far too much. It was one of the very few places where he could truly be himself, without Chaos Sorcery looming over his head. No one at the hospital knew, and Sukko worked extremely hard to keep it that way. He was more then capable of defending himself, if anything happened, but that was besides the point.
He smirked, remembering his brother's words, and a certain Pink Hedgehog, whom, still on Angel Island, had been doing everything on her power to outright avoid him. Realising that Sukko definitely wasn't Sonic, Amy was now utterly terrified of him. But having Amy scared of him, Sukko decided he wasn't having that, and he had to break the ice somehow.
Since the Master Emerald incident, Sukko had made himself scarce, which as the King of Stealth, meant that nobody could find him. He just quietly watched everyone, going about their business, and talking, mainly about him and how utterly irritating he was. Sukko smirked.
Oh yes, and he wasn't going to change anything. But he heaved. He hadn't always been this bad. A wind up, sure, but it was incredibly subtle. During the war, he was just highly strung too relax, constantly watching his back for Eggman to much, or some other evil. He'd have never have done anything as daring as knock out the power to the Chaos and Master Emeralds during the war. Eggman would have immediately have found him. As for the Mobian Authorities and G.U.N., he no longer feared them. He knew they weren't watching, mainly because he'd brainwashed them not to watch. His Telepathy was now so incredibly powerful, that he could literally persuade the Mobian Authorities and G.U.N. to do, however, he saw fit, and did, especially since Sonic's death. He brainwashed them to down grade their priorities on Chaos Sorcery and Shadow the Hedgehog, so the rumours that did surface wouldn't be immediately followed. It couldn't remove them entirely from their hit list, but it did significantly improve his life.
Such large scale telepathic manipulation Sukko knew Sonic would object to, but after his death, the Sorcerer just no longer cared. He had four children, and he'd do anything to protect them, even if it meant brainwashing an entire planet, if he had to. So with such protections in place, Sukko decided to let his quills down and have a little fun, with his brother's old friends. How he would have been if the war never happened. He liked them before he'd formally met them and he liked them even more now. He knew exactly why Sonic was drawn to them. They were generous, caring and understanding, but all of then could stand on their own two feet, without constantly asking Sonic to permanently save them.
Well, everyone except Amy, and she was going to find out that, despite everything, just how generous Sukko could be. Everyone was gathered by the main house, on a warm sunny day. Sukko had not been seen for several days, and truthfully, everyone had just forgotten about him. He smirked, not today.
With his eyes fixed on Amy, just outside the main house, with everyone still milling around, behind his cloak of Invisibility, he sneaks up right behind her, his long black coat, flapping in the wind and screamed at the top of his voice at her. He grinned.
"Geronimo." He giggled, but Amy, and practically everyone else in earshot, jumps a absolute mile, and the Pink Hedgehog immediately whirled round on him, and out of nowhere, she produces an almighty Pika Pika Hammer, throwing over her shoulder, ready to strike down that annoying Blue Hedgehog. She growled.
"Sukko." She hissed, throughly unimpressed. The Sorcerer's growled, but he held up one hand for calm and the the other poised it, ready to snap, his eyes glowing bright blue and hard. There was an almighty stand off between the two of them, with everyone looking on, curious. Sukko scowled at her.
"Miss Rose, lower the hammer, or I'll dust it with a lightning bolt." He leered, very coldly. But Amy wasn't backing down, but as she heard thunder, and saw several streaks of pale blue lightning above her head, neither was mighty Sorcerer, and he was significantly more powerful then her. She squealed in pure fright.
"What do you want?" She stammered. But Sukko just giggled, and to everyone's surprise, he just instantly dropped all the Magic, with a simple flick of the whist, it immediately dissipated. He grinned, speaking very quickly, sounding uncannily like his twin brother, but very camp indeed, finally showing off his real true nature. He giggled, flapping his hands.
"To talk? Is that not too much to ask. But then again, your a girl. You know all about talking, considering you have over ten thousand words a day, pass over your lips. But heck, I am guy, what do I know? What exactly did you see in that husband of yours, anyway? He wasn't actually a good looking guy. Hell, I know a good guy when I see one, I've jumped the fence, so I do mean that. Married, widowed, four kids, and now I've had far to many boyfriends that the last year that should have been technically legal. Now there is this one absolutely, drop dead gorgeously good-looking guy I do desperately want to go after, but I think his daughter will personally kill me, if I even tried." He heaved. "Oh dam." He added, to much intense giggling.
It was such a juxtaposition to what Amy knew about the Sorcerer, what she was just left staring, lowering her hammer in utter shock. In fact, everyone was slightly bewildered at Sukko's orientation, wondering who he was talking about. But Shadow knew, silently smirking. The kids knew of their father's love interest on other males, but they didn't know just how far it extended. Truthfully, they didn't care. Sukko didn't bring it home, and it made him happy. But none of them, everyone of Angel Island, expected it, but considering he and Sonic were mirror images of each other, think about it, it wasn't that surprising. But the Sorcerer's just didn't care, but he giggled, finger snapping himself, yet another mug of tea, out of nothing, via Orbing. He smiled.
"Sonikku and I never got a lot of 'down time' together, during the war, but when he did, my goodness, for a pair of guys, we could gossip." He smirked, drinking heavily from mug, but then Sukko panicked. "Hey, before you think anything, Sonikku was definitely into girls, right up until the day he died. Remembered, we're opposites. I'm the one into guys." He gulped, but then he heaved, looked right at Amy. "You know, if you hadn't have screwed it up, he would have married you for real. He did actually love you. He even asked my to land in on you guys, literally, to sign off the marriage as legal." He recounted, clearing indicating that everything he had said in the prison was true, even if he didn't remember it but then he giggled. "That would have been one hell of an introduction. Me Orbing into the middle of that, in my silken suit, which is black (I don't own any other colour), my long black coat over the top, looking as though I was attending a funeral." He grinned, but everyone just outright laughed.
That was utterly absurd, and Amy just blinked at him, unable to quite believe what she was hearing. That this Hedgehog was not the utter monster she believed Sukko to be. She was beginning to see traces of the Blue Blur in his brother. But Rouge just giggled.
"Seriously, Sparky, would you have really done that?" She wondered but Sukko just blinked. Sparky? He had vague recollection of that, from the kidnapping in the base. Rouge's nickname for him and he still loved it. A perfect reflection of his ability to generate pale blue lightning and electricity. They were fake illusions, but with Sukko, you treated then as real, as he could put enough power behind them to kill. He remembered very little of that day, in the base, if anything at all. He just shrugged as he just rounded on her. He grinned.
"Oh yeah, and besides, I look dam good in a suit." He beamed, but Rouge just smirked.
"Oo, I'd like to see that." She hissed, but Sukko just outright giggled.
"Maybe, you will. It depends on whether Miss Rose is still planning on marrying a Phronshentico or not." He grinned. There was utter silence. Amy spat in utter disgust.
"Not you." she hissed, straight at Sukko. Definitely not her type, despite how he looked. He immediately shook his head, in response, agreeing wholeheartedly, but Rouge just frowned.
"And Max is way too young for you." She added, but Amy just stared at the Sorcerer. She frowned.
"Then who?" She breathed. But Sukko just smirked, an utterly mischievous look on his face.
"Manikkos Horatio Phronshentico." He declared, to the utter surprise of everyone, but then after a pause, deeply rolling his eyes, groaning hard. He frowned. "What is about my family and the ridiculously long names?" He sighed, groaning. "You can thank my parents for that." He heaved, but Tails got hugely excited, as he finally worked it out, especially after the Master Emerald incident. He squealed.
"Jules Hedgehog, aka Jules Phronshentico, the world-famous Air Speed Racer and his wife Bernadette Herisson." He stammered. That was where he knew the name Phronshentico from. The Air Speed Racer's infamous antics, he'd read in the newspaper archives growing up then he rounded on Sukko and outright gulped. "You can fly." He declared, to much gasping. Super-Flight was the rarest of all Chaos Powers. Not the hover with Psychokinesis that Silver did, but true flight. Only one person, in living memory, was ever known to have had it and that was Jules Hedgehog himself. Now through inheritance, it had been passed down to his son, Sukko. But it was ending with him. The Sorcerer nodded, but he scowled and hard.
"Yeah, spot on, Fox, but don't get too excited. Father wasn't a nice guy, in fact, he was really very cruel indeed, and the flying isn't really that big of a deal. I don't use it and he abused it." He hissed, coldly. "But father was one way with the public and quite another in private, with his family. He desperately wanted was the perfect son. He even tried to drown Sonikku, all because of his super small size, that was it." He growled. "But thankfully, mother intervened, kicking his behind and hard. I believe he never crossed her again." He heaved, but the utter shocked looks of everyone. He nodded. "Oh, yeah, and no I'm not joking." He leered, very coldly, proving the point. "Ever wondered why Sonikku was so frightened of water?" He added.
Tails and Amy just looked at each other and the both of them could have just cried. They remembered Amy, now rather idiotically, pushing Sonic, during the war, into a swimming pool, to him screaming and crying his heart out, utterly terrified. Everyone thought Sonic was just been stupid, even Tails, himself, giving him a hard time over it, but now, the Fox hated himself so much. There were permanent black marks under the Blue Blur's chin, where his father had obviously and very forcibly held him under the water, by his neck. But Sonic had never said a word to anyone about anything, even when asked. But Sukko just growled.
"Like I said, not a nice guy, but mother was both one, very much in love with him, and two, significantly more powerful then him. She could make him do anything. But try as father might, he never got what he wanted, as perfection doesn't exist, despite having three boys. None of us were ever good enough for him, in his eyes." He spat. Suddenly, everyone gasped.
Three?
But Sukko just grinned.
"Yeah, there's three of us, or there was. Just two now. Me and Manikkos, or Manic as he is known. He is two years younger then myself and Sonikku, and he was central to the war effect against Eggman. But he never fought directly, but an exceptional defender, he protected anyone or anything we needed, and he's still lives at home, in the city where we grew up in, to this very day." He smiled. "But Manic has never found love. Neither male or female. He's interested, but just never found right person." He added, putting a hand into the pocket of his coat, and getting out a piece of paper. He lifted it up, and smirked. "He doesn't have any Chaos Powers, so neither will any offspring. But heck, he a Phronshentico, so who care's, right?" He winked, his reading Amy's mind perfectly. He grinned. "His address. The Scrapyard in Robotropolis where he still works. Care to try your hand, Miss Rose." He beamed, offering her the paper.
Suddenly, all four of his children who had all been listening in the background, just exploded in pure delight, cheering in utter excitement, at the possibility of their Uncle Manic finally finding someone. Yes, it was Amy, and they all knew what she did to their Uncle Sonic, but if their father forgave her enough to offer Manic to her, then so did they. Rouge gasped, then rounded on Sukko.
"This better not be a windup, Sparky." She hissed, but Sukko, giggling like crazy, just pointed to his four children still bouncing around in the background. He beamed.
"Does that look like a windup to you?" He added, nodding hard, indicating his offspring. Amy then looked at his giggling, very happy children, then back towards the Sorcerer. Blinking, she immediately made up her mind. She grabbed the address from Sukko's hand, then her hammer, and ran, straight off Angel Island, before anyone could stop her. She was going for it. Even though she hated Sukko, she deeply trusted the bloodline, the House of Phronshentico. Sonic's family. She knew the younger brother wasn't going to be the Blue Blur, but right now, she'd take anything. It had to be better then what she left behind. A ten year relationship, with nothing to show for it.
But Manic was gorgeous. Tall, extremely strong, rustic and very Green, like his niece, Jade. He couldn't have been more different again from the twins, but to Amy, he was utter perfection, as he almost immediately fell for her, as Sukko suspected he would. Sukko was right, he didn't have any Chaos Powers. He was Chi, wielding a completely different energy, the one of the planet itself, and was a extremely powerful Earth Bender. Manic was able to manipulate by mere gesture rock, glass, metal, or anything that had it origins from the ground beneath their feet. Earthquakes were commonplace around him. Sukko did indeed set them up, but with Sonic's permission, so it didn't really matter.
But in marrying Manic, meant Amy was not getting rid of Sukko anytime soon. As the eldest, he was the head of the House of Phronshentico, and what he said, went. But he was also generous and very fair, and soon, the mighty Sorcerer began to grow on Amy Rose, even if having another Blue Hedgehog in her life, didn't make it any easier. Sukko reminded her so much of Sonic, but she had to push past that, if her new life was going to work. But once she got to know Sukko more, the differences became more pronounced and it became significantly easier. It wasn't long before she was pregnant, via Manic, with their first child. But Sukko just went mad. He growled.
"What? Before the wedding. Come on, guys. I know I set you guys up, but there was no need to throw a shotgun back at me." He grinned, to much laughter. But it was all just fine. But the mighty Sorcerer, pulled out several Magical miracles and sorted out everything. Amy was impressed and finally, the two became friends.
But back on Angel Island, Sukko still had some last minute business to attend to. He was leaving Angel Island. His time here was over, going back to his nice, easy life at the hospital. He suspected he'd be back to visit, but actually stay, no. He just loved his job too much, and the Chaos Sorcery, to be honest, just loomed over everything here too much. He was permanently given a wide berth because of it, even if people didn't mean to. Better to back to a place where no one knew. The hospital. There life was just much simpler. But to leave without giving his loyal children, two of whom were now at independence, his blessing, would be a utter disservice. The younger two would be going back home with him, but only because the Medical School that Crystal was training at was right next door to his hospital, and Jade had just bought her own place there, to set up her business.
Within three years, they too would be gone, and then what next for the mighty Sorcerer. He giggled. He knew of four people on a certain floating island he could happily wind up. Time to say goodbye to his two eldest children and a son who more then lived up to his Uncle Sonic's name.
There was a rumour running around the island, that Max was leaving, going travelling, but the three girls, Violet, Scarlet and Pearl were all keen to go with him. This left a massive dilemma for their parents, none of whom were ready to let them go. Sukko found all three of them together, Knuckles, Rouge and Shadow, a top of a hill, all looking down, watching their girls, talk and play with the incredible nephew of Sonic The Hedgehog. But his brother, had other ideas, as he promptly snuck on all of them, behind his cloak of Invisibility, making them all jump.
"Still pondering, I see." He grinned. He made Rouge jump so badly, that she slapped around the face and hard. She squealed.
"Don't do that." She spat, but Sukko stumbled backwards, holding his face. He heaved.
"Ow." He spat. Then he just shock it off, smirking at the Bat. "And that's why I don't date girls anymore, they hurt too much." He grinned. But Knuckles just frowned.
"Don't you ever stop?" He growled. But Sukko just giggled.
"What? Being irritating. Hell, no. Not when you guys are far too easy to wind up." He sniggered, but then he heaved, rounding on all of them. "Look, I'm not looking for excuses. I'm retired. I spent the entire war on a super knife edge, constantly looking over my shoulder, knowing that one wrong move from either myself or Sonikku, or our entire family killed. But I had to be on the ball all the time, ready to back up Sonikku at a millisecond's notice. Anything from hacking to healing, to playing Sorcerer on the battlefield to even stepping in for him, when he was down. The fact that I've gone a bit mad since the war ended, letting my quills down, isn't that surprising, is it." He admitted. But Rouge, Knuckles and Shadow just all looked at each other. But Sukko just smiled. "Still wondering whether to allow your girls to go with him." He asked, indicating his own son, Max. But Knuckles just sighed, still not used to the constant change.
"They are a little young." He admitted, but Sukko just downright giggled.
"What? Young. When we were their age, we were fighting a full blown war against an evil tyrant and nobody thought anything of it. Hell, when I was their age, I was married, widowed and a father, and still fighting that dam war. Because I was crazy." He heaved. He glared at the Echidna. "Young, doesn't even come into it, Knucklehead." He hissed, very coldly. There was silence. Suddenly, Knuckles just charged at the Blue Hedgehog, his temper flaring. That hit a nerve and hard. He growled.
"'You' don't call me that." He breathed, through gritted teeth, pointing at the Sorcerer's chest. Sonic's nickname for him was the Blue Blur's alone. Sukko held his ground until finally he backed down. The Echidna did have a point. That did hit a little to close to home. He grinned.
"Ok, fine. But I'll find something else equally as irritating to call you." He giggled, bouncing around slightly, in his long, black coat. But Knuckles couldn't just stay angry at the Blue Hedgehog, not when he was inadvertently acting like his twin, the bloodline really showing. Despite his incredible power, it was just like the rest of them, a parent trying to do the right thing for their children. Suddenly, Sukko stopped, folded his arms and peer down that the new generation below him. Sukko knew they were more then ready, he just had to convince their parents. He smirked. "I could watch them if you like, just like I used to with Sonikku." He shrugged. "Put a silent telepathic tracker on each of them, instantly teleporting in, at any sign of trouble. Most of the time, they won't even know I'm there." He suggested. Classic King of Stealth.
Suddenly, to his utter astonishment, Sukko was immediately grabbed and deeply hugged by Knuckles and Rouge, both of whom had been extremely anxious of their daughters leaving. Shadow just smirked, himself folding his arms. He was actually happy about letting Violet go, especially opposite Max, but now with mighty Sorcerer backing them up, he now definitely had no problem with it. Shadow had recently tested his daughter. Her immortality was now intact and fully working. She was now no longer in danger. But regardless, Sukko would defend those kids with his life.
But as the Sorcerer just purred as he was being hugged, Knuckles and Rouge, thanking him like no other. But Sukko, ever the trickster, and without warning, suddenly grabbed them both by their hands and with his eyes glowing, he surged the Chaos Power through them. Out of nowhere, both of them took off from the ground, their feet being lifted clean from it. Both of them squealed in fright, then in utter fascination, when they realised what the mighty Sorcerer was doing. Super-Flight. He was sharing it with them, as he just lifted his own feet of the ground, crossed them out in front of him, perfectly hovering, as easy as anything, as though sitting in an invisible lounge chair. The feeling was utterly incredible, and unlike anything they had done before. He giggled.
"Sorry, but I know you've been intensely curious about it." He grinned at everyone. They all stared, then suddenly smiled. Boom, there it was. The pure heart of gold. Sukko kept his so well hidden, but it was indeed there, deep underneath his irritating antics and stealth tactics, and soon he landed everyone gently, letting them go, his feet back on the ground, acting as though nothing had happened. Everyone just giggled.
Sonic's brother. Oh yes.
Shadow just stared at him. He hadn't expected that at all. He was so intensely difficult to read. Annoyingly illusive most of the time, then when he does finally show, he's just downright irritating. But occasionally, he could be just so incredibly generous, like with Amy, which had blown his brain, and now, asking for nothing in return. But then Shadow sighed.
Now he understood. When the twins worked together to create the Hero of Mobius, Sonic was always the front runner. Sukko was the backup, and incredible backup he was too. His skills and abilities lent themselves perfectly for that. But now he was alone, and somewhat lost, looking for someone to get behind again. Like his own son, Max.
But Shadow just sniggered. If he ended up in an all-out fight again, he'd definitely want the mighty Sorcerer backing him up, and be deeply honoured to have him. Rouge smiled, putting a hand on Sukko's cheek. He went sightly red with humility. She smiled.
"You know what, Sparky, your quite extraordinary." She beamed. Sukko just smiled back, his cheeks now scarlet, him even more humble. He just shrugged. He literally had nothing to say to that. But Rouge sniffed, feeling downhearted, lowering her hand. "But I wish we'd gotten to know you sooner." She admitted. Everyone nodded in agreement. But Sukko just deeply sighed.
"The brother of the Hero, four kids, single father and the fact I liked my privacy, that wasn't going to happen. We were all sitting ducks to Eggman if he ever found us. He'd have slaughtered us all." He heaved. "But Sonikku's self-sacrifice was never about saving the world. It was only ever the House of Robotnik verses the House of Phronshentico, in father against Julian Robotnik, and then Eggman against us. But when we realised that it was going to take a Phronshentico sacrifice to permanently end it, I was willing to immediately jump in. But Sonikku stopped me, taking it for himself. It was expected that I would take the sacrifice as I was the lesser known twin, so Mobius could still have it's Hero but Sonikku downright disagreed. He took it for one simple reason. So my four little darlings could keep their father." He sniffed, tears rolling down his face, to the stunned silence of everyone. He cried. "I was honoured and it meant the world to the kids, who just all slept straight through it, having no idea what happened." He giggled, drying himself off. He deeply sighed.
"But then it hit home, that Sonikku was gone, but it didn't matter. My kids still had their Dad, and so I just dived headlong into raising them, as best as I could, until their independence, which to be honest, was a lot later then expected. Regardless, I took a chance with you guys, when you tracked Max down. I knew exactly who you all were. I'm not sure what Sonikku enjoyed more, going on the adventures or telling me about them afterwards. He talked about you guys constantly, and yes, over the years, I genuinely became curious. I knew to just land on you, would have confused and frighten you." He heaved, to rather sideways looks, but he threw out his arms. "Well, look at me." He hissed. "I am the Blue Blur but not, and don't get me even started on all the imposter stuff, and for such good friends of my brother's, you didn't deserve that. So I waited for events to unfold and for you to work out who I was for yourselves." He smiled. But Knuckles looked up.
"Max?" He wondered. Sukko nodded, deeply rolling his eyes, groaning.
"Yes, but he's not Sonikku, that's for sure, despite what he might think. They may have the same Chaos Powers, but not the same huge sense of adventure. Max is so incredibly sticky." He sighed. "It took me until just this year, at fifteen, during peace time, to get him the confidence to go out there and explore. Before, he just wouldn't go without me." He heaved. "Getting super-clinging Max out the door was a real challenge." He heaved, rolling his eyes again, but then he smirked. "But now finally, he's gone and I'm happy. Sonikku was long gone out into the world, leaving me far behind at the age of just eight. That was when I met Martha, just for company." He sniffed. "I knew Max could do it, he just needed the push, and your girls are, right now, just the friends he needs." He smiled, then he shifted. "It's been quite refreshing actually, to have people who know about the Magic and just not care. I have always been betrayed in the past." He admitted.
"But there were no repercussions from the Magic use at the base, when we were kidnapped. I went back and wiped all of the footage of the cameras and everyone memories. So now, no one remembers anything from that day, which weirdly, also includes me. But Beta Blockers always to that to me, so I suspected what happened." He heaved as he heart sank. "But seriously, though, with the Chaos Sorcery, no one can ever know. We would be all killed. Magic is highly illegal, still carrying the death penality. How we defeated Eggman, using Magic for a massive chuck of it, right under the Mobian Authorities's nose, and never got caught, I'll just don't know." He frowned, but then he beamed. "You can thank Sonikku for that. He was so much better then you think." He grinned.
But Shadow just smirked. He'd personally seen that for himself.
"That, I can easily believe." He hissed, but Rouge sniggered.
"I bet seeing you, Sparky, and Big Blue together, must have been something." She smiled. On Mobius, identical twins are extremely rare, but not unheard of. Very few had even seen a set, let alone knew one. The differences between Sonic and Sukko were entirely environmental, only the Identical Twin Markers, the hundred or so markers out of trillions on the D.N.A. could actually tell them apart, biologically. Sukko smirked, and without a word, he raised his hand, he snapped his finger. Suddenly, his hand was surrounded by bright white Orbs, as an object teleported straight into his hand. It was a very large photograph, which he gave it to Rouge facedown. He heaved, and hard.
"This was taken a week before he passed." He admitted. But Knuckles gulped.
"It utterly devastated us. How did you even deal with it?" He admitted, wondering hard, but Sukko just sniffed.
"What makes even you think, Echidna, that I did." He hissed, coldly. "That photo was taken before I got the Phoenix." He spat, getting the enormous tattoo as a means of coping but he sighed. "But I'm a father of four kids, I had to stay strong for them and still do. I wouldn't have survived otherwise." He admitted, then he looked at the still turned down photo and smiled, indicating it. "My favourite, that one. You can keep the photo, Rouge. Sonikku's cheesy grin just stays it all." He smiled.
Finally, the photo was finally turned over and there the twins were, stood together, outside on a beautiful sunny day. Sukko was stood there, in his long black coat, and his quills, down and softened, like a female's and were down to his elbows. The Sorcerer did occasionally change his look, but in the photo, he was sneakily casting Magic behind his twin. That aspect of the Sorcerer hadn't changed, one bit, despite the passage of over a decade. But it was his twin, the great Blue Blur himself, that caught everyone's attention. His arm was wrapped around Sukko's shoulder, grasping him firmly, his other arm and hand happily waving. He looked directly at the camera, his eyes stuffed full of both sparkles and pure joy, his enormously big, toothy smile, advertising his complete and utter delight of having his identical twin brother right next to him, at that very moment. It was indeed incredible seeing them together, but soon, everyone was in tears, including Sukko, as Rouge just hugged him. Shadow just gulped and hard.
'A week before he died.' He stammered, in his thoughts. The Blue Blur definitely knew about his impending doom, and yet not only did he do it anyway, but he just didn't even let it show. Shadow heaved. Now that was the heart of a true real Hero.
Sukko moved away from Rouge as he dried himself off. Sukko didn't normally cry, not over his brother. He was still with him via the Psychic Link but there just too many high emotions at the moment, his Telepathy going a little mad. He had to just mentally shut it out, for his own sanity, more then anything. But as he turned to leave, Rouge suddenly stopped him. She smiled.
"Hey Sukko, with your flying skills, you and me need to go out, maybe go shopping." She wondered, then she giggled walking right up to him. "Plus, you can sing for me, any day." She added, trying to cheer him up. It worked as Sukko, rounded on her, mischievously raising an eyebrow, then suddenly, he flapped his hands, giggling.
"Ooo, I love shopping. Is that a date?" He sniggered, but Knuckles just growled.
"No." He snapped. But Sukko just back off, throwing up both his hands. He giggled.
"Hey, you can't blame a guy for asking." He grinned. But Knuckles just frowned.
"But you don't even swing that way." He stammered, sounding somewhat disgusted. "It's not natural." He heaved, but Sukko growled, back at him and hard.
"Natural?" He hissed, coldly. "Says the guy who can lift several hundred tonnes above his head. What, prey tell, Echidna, is natural about about that?" He growled. Knuckles gulped. There was one simple answer to that. Nothing. There wasn't anything wrong with Sukko's choices, they were just different. Knuckles heaved, fumbling slightly.
"I apologise." He sighed. "I had no right to comment." He hissed. "What you do in your private life is your business." He admitted. Suddenly Sukko intensely giggled, immediately forgiving the Echidna, he wrapped an arm around his shoulder. He smiled.
"I'm was joking, anyway." He heaved, looking at them all. "Look, blame Martha. My late wife. She loved to experiment, in that department, and got me absolutely hooked. I swung both ways for years, until recently, when a settled down the other side of the fence to you. It's not illegal. So cool it, Knuxman, I won't touch her." He spat, indicating Rouge. Knuckles just intensely grinned and rolled his eyes.
Knuxman? Actually, that wasn't bad. But, regardless, he believed him, trusting him implicitly now, despite everything. Being different wasn't so bad after all. He just giggled. With a simple nod, finally, Sukko let him go and turned away, walking away from them, but Rouge called yet again.
"Sukko?" He stammered. Sukko turned and nodded. But Rouge just outright beamed.
"Thank you." She giggled. The might Sorcerer threw out his arms and bow slightly. He grinned.
"Pleasure." He smirked, and them pointing both fingers on his hands upwards, he suddenly exploded into hundreds bright white Orbs as he teleported away, raising up with him. They all watched him go but they all giggled. Yes, they would see him again. But Sukko didn't leave the island.
One-by-one, Sukko found each of his children and gave them his blessing. Max was astonished, as the King of Stealth snuck on him, yet again, making him squeal, much to the amusement to the girls, Pearl, Scarlet and Violet. They all looked at Sukko, the girls were somewhat nervous, bowing to him, slightly. They gulped.
"Hello, Sir." They said together. But Sukko just giggled, deeply honoured by the respect, but he just held up his hand. He smiled.
"No, please. It's Sukko." He sniggered. "Plus, you going to have to get used to me, because we'll be seeing more of each other." He smiled, but Max frowned.
"Dad, what do you mean?" He wondered. But Sukko heaved as he just smirked.
"Well, you guys want to travel, but a certain rather overprotective Hedgehog, Echidna and Bat won't let you." He hissed, looking towards the girls. They growled, nodding. But Pearl huffed.
"Yeah, our parents." She scowled. "But we are old enough to go, we're ready." She hissed, to much nodding of her fellow girls. But Sukko smiled.
"Yes, you are." He agreed, to the utter astonishment of the girls. They weren't expecting the Sorcerer to agree with them. They stared but Sukko heaved. "I have persuaded your parents to let you go, on one condition." He giggled. The girls blinked but Max just outright growled.
"Oh no, you're not coming with us." He hissed, harshly. But Sukko just rolled his eyes, he sniggered.
"Almost." He giggled. "What did I do for Sonikku during the war?" He hissed, rounding on his son. Max just gulped.
"Er, everything. You were the ultimate backup. You were always there by his side, in a heartbeat, with just a single call of your name, from anywhere in the world." He recounted, and suddenly, his eyes filled with tears, as he ran for his Dad and hugged him deeply. "Oh, Dad. Thank you." He purred, deep into his chest. Sukko deeply smiled.
"Where you go and what you do, quite frankly, I don't care. I not that kind of guy. You can look yourselves." He heaved, pulling his son off his chest to arm's length. Then removed one hand, and snapping his finger, a ball of white light, of pure Telepathy appeared in it to the utter fascination of the youngsters. He then looked at the girls. "But there are dangers out there. You'd be a fool not the appreciate that. It's not Eggman, but it's not perfect. If you do get into trouble and need help." He beamed, offering the girls the ball of light. "Call me." He added. Max giggled like mad, nodding like crazy. He grinned, indicating the Magic.
"Girls, please touch the ball. It's a telepathic tracker, so Dad can hear you when you call. Trust me, it's doesn't hurt." He giggled. Pearl, Scarlet and Violet looked deeply at the powerful Sorcerer, the mighty brother of the Hero of Mobius. It was true. He really was Sonic, the same generosity was there. So how could they refuse, all of them realising that this was a opportunity to learn from the master. Nervously, one by one, they all touched the ball, they eyes glowing blue temporally as the Magic took hold and then set in place. They were left heaving, as they realised they had just experienced a small snapshot of what the extremely powerful Sorcerer could really do.
With a simply flick of his hand, the ball of Magic dissipated and Sukko, nodding, turned to leave. But Max heaved.
"Dad. What do we do about...?" He wondered as Sukko immediately cut across his son, as he knew exactly what he was going to say, the telepathy getting there first. He smirked.
"The legacies?" He hissed. Max nodded. But Violet frowned.
"What do you mean?" She wondered. But Sukko heaved.
"What Max means is, what do he say, when someone asks him who he is? Both he and yourself, Violet, had a legacy following you, in the form of your father, and Max's Uncle, respectively. Max fears that the truth could lead people straight back here to me and Stripes." He hissed. Max nodded, and Violet when white with terror. But Sukko sniggered. "But what I say to that is, tell them the truth." He giggled. But Max and Violet just stared.
"What?" They say together, which makes Sukko laugh. He grinned.
"No, I mean it, seriously. Tell them the truth. If people stupid enough, to come here to take on the might that is the Ultimate Lifeform, and the myself, the brother of the Hero, then more fool them, don't you think." He sniggered, but then he heaved. If G.U.N. and the Mobian Authorities ever did make the connection between Sukko being both the Sorcerer and the brother of the Hero of Mobius, then he'd just have to deal with them as and when that happened. But as he smiled, he realised he wasn't alone. Shadow would back him up. He too had a mutual hatred of both G.U.N. and the Mobian Authorities, plus Sukko just couldn't stop thinking about him. But Pearl just stared, and then smirked.
"Er, he's got a point there." She grinned. Scarlet agreed.
"Or my Dad, for that matter." She admitted. They all shook their head. Knuckles was definitely worthy, and the Guardian of the Master Emerald for a reason. They all agreed. But Sukko smirked.
"You have powerful backup. Use it." He heaved. "Besides, you've got to go back to Station Square and sort out that mess. You left quite an impression there, Max." He smirked. But Max bit his lip. The fact that his father knew about that, but as a telepath, Max shouldn't have been surprised at. He heaved.
"We had G.U.N. on our tail, so I just Hyperblasted everyone out of there." He admitted. But Sukko deeply sighed.
"Yes, and you smashed up half of the city in the process. Don't worry, I've already sent money to repair the damage. Sonikku used to do that rather a lot, so I'm used to it. Paying for him." He giggled, but then he got very stern. He hissed. "Believe me when I say, G.U.N. got the message. They are now rather terrified of you. But you will have to face both them, and the Mobian Authorities, at some point, both of you." He hissed, also at Violet. "What you have to prove is that you are your families legacies, and as good or if not better then your predecessors. Only you can do that. Not me. I can back you up however, if it all turns nasty." He added, to be immediately hugged by all four youngsters, all around his middle. He nodded to himself. That's better. He was fed up of feeling the fear of him, especially on the girls.
Finally, they him let go, and Sukko vanished upwards, with a explosions of bright white Orbs as he teleported away. But Sukko's blessing it meant the world to Sapphire, as he suddenly landed in Tails Workshop to the Fox's squealing, having never seen Orbing before, but to the female Hedgehog's complete and utter eye roll. She huffed.
"What do you want, Dad?" She spat, making Tails just stare at the Sorcerer's appearance, with utter fascination. Finally, he stood there in his long black coat, standing with back again the wall, his incredible royal Blue quills shining in the overhead lights. Tails gulped. A Blue Hedgehog again, back in his workshop. It was surreal. The Fox almost cried. The last time he saw Sonic alive was in his workshop in his old House, back near Westropolis. He could have hugged the mighty Sorcerer, there and then, but he stopped himself. It wasn't appropriate. One, Sukko wasn't Sonic, and two, he wasn't here to see him, as he looked at his stunning Navy Blue female Hedgehog assistant, her pony tail of quills swishing everywhere. Sukko just smirked.
"Can't I say hello to my eldest daughter?" He asked, but Sapphire whirled at him and hissed.
"No." She spat. "I'm busy." She growled. She was ploughing full steam ahead in Tails's Workshop and doing extremely well. Finally, she found something useful to do with her powers, and was delighted she was excelling at it. She would make a great engineer. He smiled, and then heaved, feeling somewhat guilty.
"Saffie. My behaviour recently has been rather appalling. I'm sorry, but I got rather carried away." He admitted. But Tails just outright giggled, as Sapphire just looked throughly unimpressed. He sighed.
"But Dad, your a Hero. I thought you knew better." She heaved, but then Tails just laughed and hard.
"Sorry, but you don't know a Blue Hedgehog that well. Sukko, you are like Sonic it ridiculous, despite being opposites. There are some real crossovers." He smiled. But Sapphire stared, but Tails nodded. "Oh yeah, your Uncle Sonic was way worse then anything your father's ever done. At least, he hasn't tried to crash Angel Island into the side of a mountain." He smiled. But Sukko just smirked.
"Yet." He added. But Tails giggled again and Sapphire heaved, returning back to her work, building various devices using some of the most delicate Telekinesis, Sukko had every seen. He silently wondered over and looked over her shoulder. He beamed in pure delight.
"I always knew you were better then me at Magic. It's not always about being big and bold, sometimes it's the small things that matter." He smiled. Sapphire stopped and looked at him. He smirked, grabbing his daughter's hands. "You are so like your mother. Martha was also strong and feisty, and yes, we clashed. But like you, she too, had an exceptional talent for delicate repair work. She could mend anything." He beamed. "Sapphire, I am so proud of you." He finally added.
Immediately Sapphire just jumped on her father arms, like all their previous arguments didn't matter. She just hugged him, like the world didn't care. Sukko was just so proud of her and knew Sonic was too, especially to have another member of the family working the his incredible Fox friend again. Finally, she let him go. He teleported away, but she giggled. This wasn't a permanent goodbye. It was a 'good luck' in her new life. She would see him again.
Finally, Sukko stood on the very edge of Angel Island, his long black coat, hitting the floor by his feet, his two youngest daughters, Jade and Crystal, by his side. Time to go. He smiled, taking their hands, and they suddenly, all exploded into hundreds of bright white Orbs, which descended upwards, them teleporting away and home.
