I believe that a POV of Tris and Tobias's kiss after the rankings were announced is a good one, especially in Uriah's POV. There are honestly a lot of rumors from people, of how Uriah might've had a crush on Tris, so this is a oneshot of how Uriah might've been feeling. Hope you enjoy!

Uriah POV

"Nice job!" I hear a shout of the the chaos and hoots and laughter. I scan the rankings. Tris, of course, is first...I'm second, Lynn is third, Marlene is fourth, fifth, sixth, and seventh are Dauntless transfers and I don't bother scanning the rest of the list.

I turn around, a wide smile on my face, and my brother claps my back. "Damn, getting outranked by a Stiff?" he teases.

I scowl, rolling my eyes. "She's extraordinary. I heard a rumor that she only had six or seven fears."

I don't bother mentioning that I had 12 fears; that was still below average, but not as low as Tris or the Dauntless instructor Zeke was friends with, Four, who, like his name, had four fears. I have no idea what his real name is; Zeke was in his initiation class but he never told me.

Zeke nods. "She had seven." he shouts over the din of madness.

My eyebrows raise. Tris was extraordinary, and she is the first Stiff I've heard of ever transfer. She's one of a kind, and my feelings for her...I didn't know. She was so brave.

I see Tris a stretch away, and I run up to her. "Congratulations!" she shouts, and the crowd is too thick for her to turn around.

"You beat them!" I shout back, and I can hear the grin in her voice. I run back to the Dauntless-borns, whooping with excitement. Initiation is over. We're Dauntless members now.

Marlene beside me is cheering, and so is Lynn, and I nudge her, grinning. "Now who is the better Dauntless?" I tease.

Lynn scowls at me. "Psh, it's not my fault that the amount of glitter in my fear simulation is insane. Nor is it my fault for having glitter in my fear simulation in the first time."

I grin. Of course Lynn would be scared of glitter and sparkles and pink. "No wonder you chose Dauntless," I tease. "You're allergic to..." my voice trails off as out of the corner of my eye, I see Four and Tris kissing.

It is soft and intense, and I realize that my jaw dropped. The noise around me fades as I watch them, shocked. Actually, shock isn't a strong enough word to describe my overwhelmed emotions. They break away, and whisper something to each other. Beside Tris, her friends, who I think are named Christina and Will, are gaping at them.

Beside me, Zeke looks unsurprised, but Lynn whistles and Marlene's jaw has also dropped. At least I'm not the only one insanely shocked by their kiss.

"You knew?" I whirl around, facing Zeke. He winces.

"Four's my friend. As a friend, I obviously know about these things." Then he remembers me and Tris are also friends and adds, "But we're really close friends too." He winces again, rubbing the back of his neck. He glances over at them again. They have serious expressions on their faces, and Zeke's expression falters for a moment, for what reason, I don't know.

"I did not see that one coming." Lynn says beside me. "Isn't dating your instructor illegal or something? What if they cheated so Tris could get first?"

I shrug. "I honestly don't think so, and I don't think they cheated. Tris is too smart to do that, and so is Four."

Marlene nods. "Tris is above that. So is Four. Four is scary as fuck. No way would he tolerate cheating, even to help his girlfriend." She does air quotes.

I laugh. "Four's not that scary, Mar." Suddenly I lock eyes with Four, who has his intimidating and passive expression on. I turn away quickly. "Never mind, he is one thousand percent scary and fucking intimidating."

Zeke beside me howls with laughter. "He's not that bad, Uri."

I roll my eyes. "Yeah, but you're his 'really close friend'." I copy Marlene's air quotes and he loses it.

"We should probably say congrats to the others." Marlene says. Lynn rolls her eyes but doesn't argue. I think she's still high from the excitement of the celebration.

"I'll join you guys later." I say, and they nod at me, whooping as they run through the crowd. I leave the madness to go to the water fountain.

"Hey bro." I hear footsteps behind me. "You good?"

"Yeah. Why wouldn't I be?" I say the words a bit sharper than I normally do, and I instantly want to bite back the words as soon as they are out of my mouth.

I feel Zeke breathing as I finish drinking. He is silent and leans against the fountain.

"I know you liked her." he says.

"I did not." I argue back, and once again my voice carries a slightly different tone than normal.

He rolls his eyes and looks up at the ceiling. "Marlene is really good for you." he says after a moment of silence.

Now I understood. How he always didn't care when I was always with Marlene, and Lynn, but always asked why I was with Tris. I have to choke back a bit of my laughter. My brother was worried about who I was with. It's so funny it is hard to breathe.

"Thanks, Zeke." i say after another stretch of silence. I scratch my neck. I have nothing else to say.

He nods at me. "I'll wait for you back there. You might want to walk around to cool off. Your cheeks are a bit red."

I watch his retreating back before instantly reaching up to my cheeks, and my hands are greeted with warmth. I turn away, and walk towards the Pit.

I didn't really want to deal with my feelings, but I knew I had to face them. And know that Tris chose Four. And...they are good for each other. I can see it, whenever I'm around those two, the tension in the room. I smile to myself. Zeke does know better than me. I'm having a bit of trouble understanding, but I knew one thing; Tris chose. Now it's my turn to choose.
