It was a clear and sunny day in the Mushroom Kingdom, birds were singing and Lumas were floating around the grassy fields happily as they chattered amongst themselves in their special language without anything troublesome to worry about.

Transdimensional magic-user and adopted Inkling-Octoling hybrid Inktoling Meggy was relaxing with her sister Meggy Spletzer and the Mushroom Kingdom's hero Mario in the lush and peaceful fields, enjoying a very tasty picnic with ramen noodles and spaghetti, the latter of which was Mario's favorite food.

A few days had passed since Team B's last visit to Earth #8052011 also known as the SMG4 universe and life had been fine for Meggy and the others since then, aside from a Bowser attack along with a wild Octarian rampage, both of which had happened two days prior.

"You're not-a having cuckoo crazy nightmares, are you?" Mario asked Inktoling Meggy as he finished tasting a couple meatballs.

"I'm fine actually..." Inktoling Meggy replied, "I had a good night's sleep, thanks for asking."

"Are you sure?" Meggy asked, "You did have a nightmare a few days ago..."

"She said she's-a fine, Meggy. Don't-a worry about it..."

Unbeknownst to the group, a rift in time and space appeared, glowing bright and blue atop a mountain overlooking the area. Seconds later, a squat man with frizzly blue hair, a red nose and red lips wearing a gold party hat, a blue shirt with yellow buttons and large pants emerged into the universe with a very eerie smile.

This was Depresso... a sinister clown, capable of trouble.

Depresso made his way down the hill, his sights set on the Inkling-Octoling hybrid with the human and the Inkling, intent on causing trouble and spreading terror without delay.

Close by, Mario, Meggy and Inktoling Meggy had finished their picnic and were cleaning up from the meal. They wrapped up the blanket and headed off, strolling through the lush and colorful environment. However, Inktoling Meggy frowned.

"Do you get a feeling that someone is watching us?" She asked.

Mario turned around and yelped. "MAMA MIA! Inktoling Meggy, you're not going to-a like who's here?" He said.

"What?"

Inktoling Meggy turned around and her eyes widened with horror. Standing just feet away from her with a frightening evil smile in his yellow eyes and blood-red lips, Depresso stared at the shocked Inktoling, absorbing every second of fear that he could take in from the young transdimensional Octo-Inkling hybrid girl.

Depresso walked towards Inktoling Meggy, his fingers stretching and turning into claws, as he smirked deviously and prepared to strike his prey. He was going to enjoy scaring the life out of her, tormenting her and bringing harm to the young Inktoling who feared clowns so much.

"How's it going, little Inktoling...?" Depresso asked in a sinister voice.

She screamed, screaming her most terrified scream that her vocal cords could let out.

And fear engulfed her, her heart pumped intensely and all the ink in her veins ran cold. She backed away slowly, her fear-stricken mind thinking of ways how she could escape this clownish nightmare who'd come for her, who'd traveled the multiverse just to scare her. This was a nightmare from another world.

But even then, Depresso was not the dreaded entity known as It, It was a different entity entirely, Depresso was a sinister clown out to spread fear more-so than amusement and laughter, deranged and villainous.

Mario stepped forward, cracking his knuckles, he was not going to let this creeper hurt his girlfriend's adopted sister. Mario leaped into the air with a "WAHOO" and attempted to punch Depresso, only for the sinister bozo to knock him aside with a hammer. Mario fell over, surprised by Depresso's defense.

Meggy then stepped forward in front of her sister, determined to defend her. But despite her bravery, Meggy was smacked aside by the honking honker. Inktoling Meggy stood, terrified, and uncertain as to how she would escape this horrid situation.

"No! Sister!" She whimpered.

"They live... for now..." Depresso sneered, "But soon, my tears will give them... a new outlook on life. You don't know what I've done to my world, the Fever that I instigated there after she left me. And with my world changed by my Fever, with so many feeling... so happier, I have started to go beyond my home... to terrorize others... like you."

He lunged, ready to give Inktoling Meggy the horror that awaited her, his teeth morphing into fangs and his eyes shifting to a fully yellow-ish color with no pupils. The Inktoling ducked, screaming with fear, and thrust her hand out, conjuring up a ball of energy.

Depresso laughed, slowly advancing towards her, savoring every second of fear he instilled into the Inktoling. Just a little longer and he would have what he wanted, an Inktoling consumed by fear and then transformed into an entity like him forever.

Just then, a whoosh perked Inktoling Meggy and an orange-haired Inkling in an army uniform landed between her and Depresso, raising a gun at the latter. He turned around and she knew who it was, Team B member Dmitry.

And meanwhile, Mario and Meggy got back up, both relieved to see a good friend of theirs who was here to help. Depresso just smirked and clicked his fingers, a glowing light filled the landscape and several wind-up clowns appeared, clicking and beeping, all sided with their summoner.

"You're done causing trouble since you are kaput!" Dmitry told Depresso.

"Am I?" Depresso mused.

BLAM!

The shot pierced the sinister bozo, who gasped, looking down at the bullet hole in his torso. Dmitry blew the smoke from the barrel of his gun, Depresso let out one more gasp and his minions vanished into thin air.

And then, he dropped to the ground before vanishing through a portal, leaving Mario, Dmitry, Inktoling Meggy and Meggy alone in the field.

Dmitry turned to the Inktoling. "Are you alright there?" He asked, "You're not hurt, are you, ma'am? Alexsey saw what was going on and sent me."

Inktoling Meggy sobbed, tears rolling down her cheeks, and hugged the Russian Inkling, filled with relief that she was safe. Meggy came forward and hugged her adopted sister while Mario pat the squid-octopus hybrid on the shoulder in a comforting manner, the terror was over and everyone could relax again.

And all it took to end the trouble for good was a bullet, one shot, to the one threatening the young girl. Inktoling Meggy headed back to Inkopolis with her sister a short time later, fully calming down from the ordeal and relieved she was spared from what Depresso sought to do to her.

Plus, she was lucky that Team B was looking out for her well-being, just like during their second visit to the SMG4 universe...
