Incomplete World Of Elmore
Part 2
~Watterson Household
It was morning, and the feline was having breakfast with an older cat who looked just like him, sitting on the opposite side of the table drinking coffee and then putting it down. The feline tilts their head down and looks up beneath their eyebrows to see the young cat in front of them with a menacing glare that reads "I will end you" on their face.
This woman is named Doctor Nicole Watterson, also known as Nicholas's mother, though she prefers to be called "Doc." She looks exactly like her son but has navy blue fur instead of orange, bloodshot eyes from working late, and wears full-frame glasses over them, a gray coat over her body, a black shirt, and a long gray skirt.
She questions her son, demanding he looks at his mother with a bored expression. "Do you mind telling me what occurred at school yesterday?"
"Nonchalantly, I got lost on my way to school and bumped into a girl who also missed the bus on the first day of school. After class, I had lunch with some of the students, and one of them tried to hit me but got electrocuted instead."
She then asked him, "What happened next?" as she continued to question him for more information.
After leaving the school grounds, some bullies tried to intimidate me, but their leader punched me in the face, breaking his hand when he hit me. The other thugs came after me, and I beat them all to a bloody pulp. Afterward, I went to Claire's house, the girl I had met at the bus stop, to hang out with her. I didn't tell her about my meeting with Carrie, but it didn't matter to her.
The full-grown feline exited her seat and walked toward her son's table. She slammed his head against the table and grabbed his arm as if she were pinning down a criminal.
She still said this in a calm, cold voice to her son. "Did you start the fight?"
No, but I might have provoked them into staring at me," Gumball told her as he had his face in his cereal bowl. Luckily, he had drunk most of the milk before she asked him.
"What did I tell you about beating people up?" She said in her calm voice but sounded very angry.
"Only use it for self-defense, keep the town's damage to a minimum, or if there were no other options," he said around a mouthful of milk.
Good. She let go of her son's arm and head. He then raised his head and started breathing again while holding his throat.
Doc then walks to the bathroom upstairs to put on her uniform for work. When she returns downstairs wearing a police uniform with an Assistant Sheriff badge, she removes her glasses and puts on her prescription sunglasses.
As she walks to the door and opens it, she turns to see her son giving her a stern look.
Don't forget if I hear you causing trouble at your school. I will send you to juvie along with anyone else assisting you with your crimes, understood Nicolas?" Her son doesn't respond, and she gets mad and punches a hole in the wall.
"Nicolas, answer me when I am talking to you," she yelled at him.
"My name is Gumball," he responds with his still, calm voice. Nicole hears this in confusion but decides to focus on getting to work first and then deal with this later.
Remember, the minute you fall out of line, your ass will juvie. She doesn't look at him. Then she slams the door and leaves for work.
Gumball then got his things ready for school and left the house.
~Elmore Jr High
While in the hallway, Clare is talking to someone. He was a living hot dog with sunglasses, and a yellow mustard whip on the top of his head, implying he had blonde hair. Clare finds her locker and begins to turn it to open it.
Clare asked, "Do you think yesterday afternoon one kid managed to beat up five thugs without a scratch on him?" She sounded like herself while talking to the boy behind her.
"Well, it may just be a rumor, but I did hear that Julius's crew got sent to the hospital, and Julius himself got his hand broken so hard that he is now wearing a cast," the hot dog says nervously, having heard this rumor from Penny, who witnessed the entire event.
"Ugh, I don't want to talk about what happened yesterday. That annoying Furball almost got me late for school, then went to my house, and then he watched me sleep," she says, still angry at him as she opens her locker.
Wait, he broke into your house?" the hot dog preteen asked in confusion.
He told my parents I invited him to my house, but he didn't understand sarcasm. She slams her locker to get her stuff with a huff and sighs.
What does this kid look like? The Hot Dog Guy asked curiously.
"He has blue fur, a sweater, and jeans, including yellow-green sneakers. He's also a cat," Clare finishes explaining to the hot dog guy.
"(A cat?) Hold on, are you talking about?" He was about to answer until he was interrupted by someone who had just walked into the hallway.
"Hello, Clare," Gumball said, waving his paw at the two teenagers behind Clare.
The moody teen screams in fear and then turns to see Gumball and William.
"Oh, come on!" Clare screamed, seeing the one person she didn't want to see.
"Well, it's nice to see you again, too, Clare," Gumball said happily as he saw her.
William tells him, "I don't think she likes you that much."
"I don't see that, William." The feline said this to the eyeball.
Clare asks the feline, who points at William. Then the cat sees the blonde hot dog guy.
The feline says, "And I see you met Darrel Feltman." He then looks at the hotdog guy.
"So you came to school, Nicholas, despite hearing the rumors," Darrel calls Gumball by his real name, confusing Clare and William.
"Nicholas?" William asked in confusion.
Clare looks at Darrel, who turns to see her.
"I never bothered to correct it to anyone, so it's kind of like my nickname now," Darrel said while shrugging it off.
"So you also went with a nickname, as yours is very literal," Gumball addressed Darrell's nickname.
Clare says, "But you said your name was Gumball."
"Yes, but you never asked for my actual name. Nicholas is a male version of my mom's middle name, but I prefer to be called Gumball from now on," the feline explained to Clare about this mix-up.
"So, wait, how do you two know each other?" Clare looks between Gumball and Darrell.
" (Awkwardly with his hand on his back) Well, my dad and his mom work at the same place." The hot dog informs the teen.
She asked curiously, "What place exactly?"
Darrel and Gumball said in unison, "The police station."
William's eyes widen, and Clare is in stunned silence.
"What do you mean?" asked William.
"Well, I said that my dad works as a cop, and his mom is the Assistant Sheriff of the police force," Darrel points to Gumball with an apathetic look after hearing about his mom.
Clare turns pale after hearing this.
"Whaaaaaaaat?" Clare screams so loudly that she can be heard outside the school.
Gumball asks the hot dog guy next to him, "Is she going to be okay?"
"Despite acting like that, she's in a teen drama. I'm pretty sure she'll be fine," Darrell answered the blue feline.
Darrell then turned to Gumball, feeling a bit nervous after hearing about the rumors surrounding the feline.
You managed to convince your mom to let you go to public school? That must have been tough to do, and I know how stubborn Officer Watterson can be about anything."
"Yes, it was. But she agreed to it. She told me I needed to function better with people and make friends."
Okay then..?" Darrell said awkwardly as he started to walk backward.
So I have to get to class, so I'll see you later... Gumball?" The hot dog waves his hand as he runs off, avoiding the awkward conversation.
Gumball wonders why he left so soon.
William informs him, "It's because of the rumors."
"Rumours"?
Saying this in a bored voice, "How did you beat up Julius and his crew so badly that they had to go to the hospital?"
"Really?"
"Listen, the kid doesn't overthink it because there is no way you-." Clare was about to finish her sentence.
"No, that one was true," Gumball says with his usual expressionless face. This causes the moody girl and the floating eyeball to look at the feline.
Both said in unison in disbelief, "What?"
"It explains why some of the kids are avoiding me. Except for you (William) and Carrie. But I was no longer told not to get into fights on the school grounds." He remembered what his mother had said to him at breakfast.
"So just to clarify with both of you, they tried to attack me first as I don't fight others without being provoked first," Gumball explained what happened that day with Clare and William looking at him in stunned silence.
Clare's thoughts: "You've got to be kidding me." Her jaw dropped in horror, and she had an expression of disbelief.
~ Library
The Library in the School was filled with many books, but most students were using the computers rather than reading, which annoyed the librarian, who was a tree. The Library is filled with holes of static, some sketch drawings of books, and 3D lining on the ceiling, ground, and walls.
Clare, who was bored, was typing on her phone. She then scrolled down to see if she had any messages. Looking up from her phone, she saw a ghost girl wearing an old hat holding a book by Edgar Allan Poe titled "The Raven" while talking to someone.
Turning further, she sees the same annoying blue cat from earlier. He holds a book called "The Adventures Of Nococchio" on the cover. Gumball seems to be talking to the ghost about something.
She said, "Just ignore him, and he will go away." She then grabbed a book and pretended to read it while peeking out of the corner of her eye to see if Gumball left the Library.
"Huh, I didn't think there was more to this story," he said while reading the puppet book.
Carrie looks at him with some disinterest and asks, "What do you mean by that, Gumball?"
"I didn't think Nococchio had any more adventures, and I thought the story just ended with her being hanged."
Carrie looked at him in confusion and asked, "What?"
"Well, right here, that's where the story ends. But I think Mrs. Robertson might have only ended the story because this must have been her favorite part."
Carrie wanted to make sure she heard him correctly. "Did you say Mrs. Robertson read the book to you?"
"Yes, I lived with them for my first four years," Gumball said.
Carrie, I'm not sure what you mean.
He showed me the ghost on the book cover he was reading. "It might have had something to do with the cover," he says.
He shows the book to the ghost girl with the image of a wooden puppet wearing an orange hat with a bow, a dress that matches the hat, white shoes, and blonde hair tied up in short pigtails.
She appears to have a rope around her neck, her arms tied up, and her ankles tied together in a four-point restraint. However, the image was upside down, making it appear as if she were hanging from her ankle rather than being suspended by her wrists.
As Carrie looks at the disturbing image and wonders why the author put it in the story, Gumball remains stoic. He then returns to reading the book. Meanwhile, Carrie notices someone spying on them.
Although the story ended with her death, I think this Library has an extended version of this puppet's story that I haven't read yet.
"Sure...whatever floats your boat, kid." Carrie was about to ask Gumball what he said when she saw someone spying on them.
The ghost girl disappears from the table and pops up behind Clare's chair, scaring her so much that she falls with the book on her face.
"(Screams)."
The ghost asked the moppy teen who was getting up after being knocked down by the spirit.
"I wasn't spying on you; I was waiting for him (points to Gumball) to leave."
"What do you have against him?"
"I wanted to know yesterday if he almost caused me to miss the bus, and then he came to my house even though I didn't know him there because he doesn't understand sarcasm. Then somehow, he got into my bed, and nothing else happened. Clare then refuses to say anything else to avoid more embarrassment."
While the ghost girl in front of her had a mischievous look on her face and let out a chuckle.
"Look, if you don't want to tell me more about what happened last night with your boyfriend, then it's none of my business Clare," she said, winking at the teen, who had her mouth open in shock before turning into a massive red blush on her face with a mix of embarrassment and anger.
She screams at the ghost so everyone can hear, "HE IS NOT MY BOYFRIEND!" The librarian tells her to be quiet with a shush, which alerts the blue feline to their table.
"Oh, it's just you, Claire. You know that you need quiet around the Library, so-.
She slaps the book out of Carrie's hand, but when it falls underneath, the goth text is replaced by a pink one with rainbows and a chibi unicorn called "The Magic Of Friendship" on it.
Clare and Gumball paused, then looked down, seeing the book. For a moment, they saw Carrie, whose mouth was open in a mix of embarrassment and shock, her face now a bright shade of red.
The ghost gasped at this and then picked up the two books.
"You two didn't see ANYTHING" Then Carrie disappears, humiliated.
An awkward silence passed between the feline and the moody human, who remained silent and angry at the cat.
He was squinting at her as he said, "Don't talk to me at all during school."
"Do you want to hang out after school?" Gumball asked her.
"Sure, I would love to cause you don't keep making me feel like the Universe is against me every time you've come around to see me." She was being sarcastic again. With a fake smile, she had an angry face as she stormed off.
She was still sarcastic about what she said.
~After school
The rest of the school day was regular, but Gumball used his athletic skills at the gym against the students playing dodgeball. He defeated the opposing team in an instant. Gumball was confused about why Tobias started crying when he saw Gumball without his sweater in the shower.
Jamie was mad at Gumball during lunch because of what happened in the gym. He intimidated the feline but allowed her to beat him up, not to destroy her self-esteem, and he was informed not to get into any more fights at school because Nicole told him to.
While some of the students now think yesterday's rumors aren't true, except for Penny, William, and an irritated 8-bit spider who can tell when someone is lying, he decides to take matters into his own hands when he sees the feline tomorrow.
At the school entrance, Clare walked outside when she noticed Gumball walking alongside her. She tried to lose him by walking faster, but he continued to follow her. The teenager then lost her temper and turned around to face the cat.
She screams at the cat following her, "What do you want from me?"
The cat replied, "To hang out as you said we would."
"Huh"?
Then a pause happened, and then the blue feline realized something.
"...You were being sarcastic about that, weren't you."
"Yes, you dumbass. So why don't you hang out with other friends, the eyeball and the ghost."
"Carrie left school early because she said it was a "family emergency," but I think it was because she was secretly reading that Pony book and left out in embarrassment. On the other hand, William told me he must be somewhere with his family, saying, "I wouldn't tolerate his brother as he is full of hot air."
You can understand what that eyeball is saying to you"?
"Yes, I can cause some form of telepathy as I can hear someone's thoughts, but it's not strong." The feline explains to the teen about this ability.
"Okay, I'm just gonna go now 'cause it's been a long day, so see ya, kid.?" Clare's eyes squinted with an unsure look; they turned to walk away from the feline.
"But I want to ask you for advice." Gumball still walks with her.
She stops for a minute after hearing that.
"Excuse me?"
"I wanted your advice on how to talk to her."
"You mean the girl that you told me about yesterday"?
The blue kitten twiddled his thumbs while his eyes looked at the sidewalk. Clare noticed his ears were down as if he was embarrassed when he told her this.
"So why don't you ask your friends or mother about this?"
"Well, ma'am, I'm not sure if they are the sensitive type, and I'm not sure if they have ever been on dates because I haven't asked, plus I just met them. So I thought you might be able to help me with this because I think you're mature and reliable regarding these things."
"Look, I have been in a relationship once back when I was in Detroit. (Sounds bitter for a moment) But after I moved away, he broke up with me, and it was via text."
She then shouts angrily at the sky with her middle finger in the air.
"Seriously, who breaks up with someone by texting after making out with my best friend? Well, f$% you, Gary! I never needed you anyway. So you and that bitch Martha can go screw yourselves!" She breathes heavily, then turns to Gumball.
"So I will tell you one thing about how girls work."
Despite being a feline, he was waving his tail back and forth like a dog, which Clare found adorable.
"Yes." I am saying this with a fake smile.
"What is it?"
"They like it when the boy keeps their distance from them."
"How far"?
Clare pushes him four steps from her.
Gumball takes two steps forward. "Further," he says as he takes two more steps. He then repeats this process and ends up on another street.
He shouted at the faraway teen, "Is this good?"
"Perfect, now keep that distance from me." Saying this with a thumbs up as she walks away, he still follows her.
"So, does this mean we're friends"? The feline asks Clare.
"If by that either a walking nuisance or like an annoying little brother, then somewhat kid." She shouted at him.
"Okay, sister," he shouted.
"Don't call me that." She screamed back. While she was walking back home, the blue cat followed her like a pet who was with its owner. Although he was still annoying, she didn't see him as that irritating that much after their first encounter. But she was feeling a little calmer now.
~Elmore Hospital
Julius was leaving the Elmore hospital with an arm cast on his right hand. He can still feel the sting from the brawl yesterday. While he was outside, a boy around twelve was there waiting for him.
He was a tall Cyclops with a very slim blue body. He had a single large eye with a pink iris in the center of his face. He has extremely long, skinny limbs, pink hands, and an oversized head. His body is lean and is covered by a pair of red shorts, an orange-sleeved yellow T-shirt, and a brown backpack. He had medium-length brown hair, which covered part of his eye. He also wore dark orange shoes with blue laces.
He didn't seem happy at all with the bomb kid.
"You know provoking her son is just as bad as pissing her off." The Cyclops with his arms folded.
"Can it, Ross? How was supposed to know the kid could run and punch like a tank." Sounding bitter after he and his crew were taken down like a bunch of chumps.
"First of all, Julius, that kid looks just like that cop. Second, my name is-" gets interrupted as the bomb guy glares at him.
"Hey, I know who that bitch is, Raj, and I don't care. Don't worry about the feline. I will get someone far stronger and worse than me to take him down. Also, I sent Reaper to take down that goldfish that sent us after the mutt that slaughtered us." He said with a grin, thinking of the one he's mentioned beating the daylights out of that stone face brat.
"Heh heh heh, I'm going to enjoy seeing that blue freak beg for his life after she's done with him."
"Yeah..just like how he beat you to the point you were sobbing and begging for him to st-." The Cyclops said this sarcastically.
"SHUT UP, ROY"!
"My name is Rob. Why is everyone keep forgetting it "? Sounding displeased about this, the two left the hospital until a thought came to his mind.
"Speaking of Reaper, I haven't heard from him since last night. You think something happened to him"?
"He's probably beating up some brats that annoyed him or whatever. I'll call him later after the others get out." They say this to Rob nonchalantly as they walk away from the hospital.
~Verde House
A noise is heard as Carmen is beating a punching bag repeatedly with the image of Gumball on it with his eyes replaced with an X drawn on it. She hits it until she gets tired, then stops to breathe. She removes her bandana as she lays down on her bed.
Her room color was an indigo constant of a lot of Heavy Metal and Punk Rock band posters on her walls, a statue of a hummingbird on the top of her shelf with some smaller ones with it, Some books about architecture, how to eat healthier, Hummingbirds, Anger: Taming a Powerful Emotion and of Mayan Mythology, Dead of the Dead skulls that are decorated on her mirror and her bedsheets. Including a picture with an image of herself when she was younger with someone with her who was also a cactus plant.
"(Groans) I really can't stand that guy. Whenever I look at his face, I want to punch him." She thought of the blue feline she met while playing hooky at school.
"(In her thoughts)Why did he keep looking at me like he was braindead of something, and his face turned all red when I approached him." Carmen was thinking of Gumball.
But was still want nothing to do with him.
"Seriously, first he mistook me for a boy, then he compared me to a watermelon, and finally he saw me crying."
"Carmen, dinner will be ready in ten minutes." Her mother shouted for her daughter to come out.
"OKAY, MOM." The cactus shouted back.
Then she hears her phone ringing on her bed. The cactus girl picks it up, then places it next to her branch.
"What do you want."
...
"You can't be serious."
...
"That wuss took all of you out."
...
"Very well then, Oppenheimer. I will ensure that Furball will be in the ICU when I'm done with him."
She ends the call with Julius. She was now clenching her fist and grinding her teeth while glaring at the ceiling.
" I going to make you regret ever meeting me, Watterson."
"CARMEN"! Her mother shouted to come to the dinner table.
"I HEARD YOU THE FIRST TIME, MAMA." She shouted back at her while walking out of her room.
~Krueger Household
Carrie is typing on the computer in her room where the walls are a shade of black, and multiple books about monsters and Allen Edgar Poe poetry sit on the bookshelves. The bed has a mix of purple and dark blue sheets and gray pillows with a ghost face. An Ouija board sits on her shelf. Posters on her wall consist of many goth things, although some of Princess Pony is also on them.
When the ghost rabbit walked towards her room to eat chips, I saw the ghost girl on the computer.
The rabbit munched on his food, but it went right through him. "So," he asked the ghost, "what are you doing, Carrie?"
She continued typing as she said, "I'm busy working on something."
"Oh, are you reading a novel?" Curious about what Carrie was doing.
"No, Lapin. It's a curse."
He looks at the computer screen, which reads, "You are now cursed. If you do not forward this email to ten people, The Snatcher will first take your money; then he will take your friends, and finally your family."
"Don't you think this is a little extreme, Caroline"? Sounding unsure about this.
"Listen, Lapin, I will first focus on getting my dad back. Then I'll help get your memories back, okay." Saying this with a stern look.
"What happens if this doesn't work? Isn't there any other way than this?"
"(Sighs) This is the only way." She then forwards the email. But she thinks someone would unlikely be stupid enough to ignore it. Lapin walks towards her, concerned about her.
"So what are you gonna do now?" He asks her.
"Now I just have to wait." She turns off the computer, grabs her backpack, and leaves her room.
"Where is ya going?" Lapin follows her.
"I'm going to school. So I need you to stay here."
"But why?" With puppy dog eyes.
The last time you left the house, you somehow managed to get the entire town to do a musical number. The ghost rabbit remains behind as Carrie opens the door and leaves the house.
"The song was catchy," he screamed as she took the school bus and drove away. She was leaving him alone until he heard certain music coming from his large ears. It was an ice cream truck driven by Larry.
Lapin leaves the house and returns to lock the door before chasing after the ice cream truck like an excited child.
"ICE CREAM YAY!" The ghost rabbit runs as a red van drives away.
~School Bus
As Lapin was chasing the ice cream truck, Gumball sat next to William on the bus while some students were still avoiding him because of the primarily true rumors.
So you're hanging out with the older kids, Nic- or prefer Gumball now? William
I prefer Gumball now, but you, Carrie, Claire, and Darrell can call me by my real name if you want."
"Okay then, so you can call me Will, but never call me 'Billy.'"
"Why"? Gumball asked the eyeball.
"I just hate that nickname my parents and my stupid brother call me."
William and his brother? But before William could answer him, they arrived at the school. They started to get off the bus.
"I'll talk to you about it later," William said as the two went to school.
~ school
The class was standard, as usual, for the blue feline. Except that some of his classmates were still wary of him. With Penny and an 8-bit spider glaring at him. Rob, on the other hand, was cautious around him. The feline sat next to him at the desk.
"What do you want." The Cyclops question the Furball.
"Do you need any assistance with your assignment, Bob?" the feline asks.
"Go away," said Rob, waving his hand to shoo her away. Then Gumball returned to what he had been doing.
"Very well, Mob."
Hearing that he got his name wrong again gets a bit ticked off.
"It's Rob." Saying this in a muttering tone.
"Okay, Glob," Gumball apologized but got the name wrong for the third time. This caused the Cyclops to lose his temper as he broke his pencil in two, got up from his seat, and shouted at the light blue feline.
"My name is Rob!"
Then suddenly, Rob's face slams into Gumball's desk with such brute force that it shatters as if someone with telekinesis had controlled him.
William's eyes return to their usual green as he returns to focus on his assignment. Rob gets possessed when he tries to get back up, and his body turns dark green.
Ignoring this, Ms. Simian enjoyed his misery. They then continued writing on the chalkboard the lesson they were doing.
~ Cafeteria
During lunch, Gumball sits with him, William, Carrie, a flower with pink petals, and Masami.
"Was that necessary for both of you to do that to Sob?" The feline questions the two floating individuals sitting next to him on both sides as he is in the middle of the table.
"Don't worry about him, Nicolas," Carrie said to the feline with her usual disinterested look. "Rob's always cranky."
Masami asked, raising her eyebrows in confusion, "Hold on, your name is Nicolas, and you go by something stupid like 'Gumball' as a nickname?"
"Yes, but I prefer the name Gumball over the other options."
The cloud girl rolls her eyes in disbelief.
"Whatever, furball," she said as she started sipping her drink.
"Okay, Masumi," Gumball says as he begins eating his sandwich.
"It's Masami," she corrected him, annoyed.
"Oh, sorry, Masami," he said softly as he petted her head gently as an apology. Tick marks appeared on her cheeks, and she turned red in embarrassment.
The girl's cloud turned into a storm cloud as if warning him. He removed his paw from the top of her head.
"I forgot last time; sorry again. It's just that you're so fluffy."
She asked Gumball, who was now wearing cat ears, whiskers, and a tail, "Do I look like a cat to you?"
"Yes," he said honestly to her, making the cloud girl's face turn pink with a shade of red as she puffed up her cloud. Then she electrocuted Gumball again with her lightning.
Then the dazzling flower child spoke to him.
"Speaking of pets, Penny recently got a new pet spider named Mr. Snuggles."
"Hm, how about she got a new pet good for her."
"She still hates you for what you did to her pet." William is telling him this.
"Well, I can't blame her, Leslie. I mean, he killed her pet." Carrie points to Gumball.
"It was self-defense." Gumball is trying to justify it.
"How would you feel if Penny killed your pet before you?" Masami questions Gumball.
"That would be unlikely because Mom doesn't allow pets in the house." The four look in confusion at him as a cat.
"So what does that make you then"? Masami questions him.
Gumball decides to avoid this question.
"However, I do have a pet. It's not an animal but rather a plant. A Venus flytrap, which I named Aphrodite."
Leslie looks in confusion after hearing this.
"You have a Venus flytrap, and you named it Aphrodite"?
"Yes. Do you think I would name the plant Venus? Is that just ridiculous? But I think you would like her, Leslie. She usually gets along well with girls like you, Leslie."
They all have their jaws drop in silence except for William after what he said to Leslie, and Leslie looks very offended.
"I'M A BOY, YOU TWIT. " The flower screams at him. Gumball looks at him in silence and blinks twice to process this.
".. Really cause you to sound feminine; you wear makeup, you hang out with girls a lot, and your name is Leslie."
"Leslie can be a boy's name. My cousin said it's a great name for me!
"..Who"?
"Penny! She and I are cousins, you insensitive brute!" He then storms off from the table in a fit.
Gumball wonders how a plant and some weird peanut girl with hollow eyes are related to a flower.
"You didn't know that?" Masami looks at him with a puzzled expression.
"He never told me his last name. Speaking of which, I don't know any of your last names." He looks at all of them.
"It's Yoshida, as in the daughter of the owner of The Rainbow Factory." She said in smugness.
"..Okay". He was saying in his usual, almost deadpan voice.
The ghost answers him, "Lokowitchki, Watterson."
William looks at the ghost and says, "I thought your last name was Kruger?"
"No, that's my mother's last name," Carrie said, assuming William was talking to her.
"So what about them?" Gumball points to the other kids in the Cafeteria. Carrie then says to the kids calling each of their last names.
Wilson(Trying to flirt with Clare, who hits him with a tray), Rex(Tina roaring at some kids who run from her), Russo(Jamie sitting and eating), Banana(Joe laughing), Fitzgerald (Penny with her hands together with a fist glaring at him.), Jötunheim( Hector outside the school), Mccormick( Anton accidentally being eaten by another student) Keane (Alan waving happily to them while William is "glaring" at him.) Misteltein( Loki having soup with a rabbit's foot in it.) And...(Rob eating at the table) that's pretty much it(Rob frowned when Carrie said that.).
"So what about you, William? Don't you have one"? Carrie assumes the eyeball can hear him.
"I share it with my brother. That's all I'm saying." William's telekinesis starts to shake the table a bit, not wanting to discuss any more of it. Assuming Carrie understood what he said.
"I'm pretty sure he told me he shares his last name with his brother," Gumball answers for him.
"His brother"? Masami with a mix of minor confusion after hearing this.
William's eyes turn red, and he uses his telekinesis to lift the table and throw it out the window. The Eyeball glares at the cloud girl, then flies away from the Cafeteria in a bad mood, if you can tell.
"I'm guessing he dislikes talking about his family." Gumball with his nonchalant expression while stating the obvious.
"Ya think?" Carrie turns her head a bit to see the feline.
~After school
After the bell rang, the students left the school except for William, who got detention for disrupting the class.
He was now walking with Clare and Darrel, who decided to join them due to them going near a place he was planning on going to after school.
"So, what were you two doing yesterday after school? Cause I noticed that Nicol- I mean Gumball was following you."? Darrel looks at Clare in confusion.
The moody teen sighs with her hand on her face.
"This one (points to the feline) wanted to talk to me about advice on a girl he has a crush on."
"...Uh, what"? Darrel is unsure what Clare just said to him. But Gumball spoked up.
He then pats the teen on her back. He tries to smile with all his teeth showing, his eyes very wide as if trying to be polite, but it comes off creepy, like a killer in a horror movie.
While Darrel is creeped out by this, Clare glares at the cat.
"Gumball, what was the first thing I told you not to do?"
The cat's face returns to its usual disinterested expression.
"That girls like it when boys give them space to breathe." He moves two steps away from her.
"And what else?"
"Not to make them uncomfortable."
"Yes. They would want a smile that would bring joy and reassurance to them. Not one they see before they're killed in a slasher movie." She said this with a happy smile, then turned horrified while proving her point.
"Yeah...It would be best if you worked on that Gumball'. Darrel is saying this after seeing that.
"Anyway, who is this girl he's been crushing on lately?" Darrel asked Clare for the name.
"Well, her name is-
"I have finally found you, Waterson!"
This causes the trio to turn around and see the 8-bit spider Ocho. By the look of his angry 8-bit face, it's clear he was looking for trouble.
"Ocho "? Gumball wonders what his classmate from school is doing here.
"Want to know why I came here?' He glares at the feline.
"You're going to walk with us to Joyful Burger?" He said this was not threatening at all.
"Well, if your paying-WHAT NO. I WANT TO FIGHT YOU!" He gets more intense after yelling at him.
"Why"?
The spider gets more irritated.
"I know for a fact that you let Jamie win. No one that buff could have been taken down so easily. Let alone it would not be a draw."
Clare and Darrel look at Gumball with a confused expressions. "Wait, did he just say he's buff?" Both think simultaneously.
"THAT DOESN'T MATTER NOW. IT'S TIME TO PUT YOU IN YOUR PLACE, CABBIT." Ocho screams as he charges toward them.
Gumball then lands his fist on the 8-bit spider's face, sending it into the wall of a nearby building. To his surprise, Darrel and Clare are also inside the hole. Meanwhile, Gumball maintains his usual stoic expression as if nothing had happened.
"..What the What was that"? Clare wondered this after she saw him easily take down Ocho.
The feline turns to his friends.
"So we should get going then." He starts to walk towards where the restaurant. Then the other two teens follow him.
Uh, Gumball, what did Ocho mean by your "buff"? Darrell awkwardly asked him.
Gumball turned his head to see him.
"It must've been when they saw me in the showers. I have been training with my mom for eight years. It was very intense training, and it was to make sure I wouldn't get beat up all the time and not be a complete joke to her."
Clare expressed concern for him, saying, "Your mom sounds very strict."
"You have no idea," Darrel said in fear, due to meeting Officer Watterson a few years ago.
~A Few Minutes Later
Then something she remembered what Ocho had said earlier.
"What did that spider call you a-"
"So we meet again, Watterson."
This causes the three to turn in front of them.
"(In her thoughts) Seriously, why am I getting interpreted today."
Julius appears before them, still having the cast on his right hand after the fight with Gumball two days ago. He has a sinister smile, knowing what's about to happen. The bomb guy notices two other people with the feline.
"It also appears that Weenie and Mopy came along with you today, Fido," Darrel said while he looked at the two dogs. Clare, on the other hand, looked annoyed.
She asked in a questioning tone while rubbing her chin.
"That's right." With his arms crossed.
"The guy who got beaten up so badly that he was crying like a baby," saying this in a bored manner while pointing at him.
"Hey, that's not what happened at all!" His fuse grows shorter, with tick marks growing on his head. His left fist clenches in rage.
"He recovered a lot faster than I thought he would." Gumball is saying this to Clare and Darrel.
"Yeah, the last kid that tried to mess with you was in the hospital for a few months," Darrel said as if he knew this already.
"Wait, what"?
"It happened four years ago, Clare. When I was a bit-"
"If you losers are done talking, I want to get back on my revenge against that mutt," Julius shouted at them.
"So you want a rematch from him. You know you'll end up black and blue again, right?"
"Can it Pooper."
"It's Cooper, you dunce," she shouted at the thug.
"You think I'm stupid enough to fight that freak again?" He angrily points at them.
"Yes," Clare says in a bored manner.
"Most likely." Gumball is saying this bluntly.
"A little." Darrel is honest but also calm and scared.
The bomb boy gets more frustrated as his bomb starts to get shorter.
"(Groans but breathes a bit) I'm not gonna fight you...she is". His left-hand thumb points to the one behind him.
The one in question was a female cactus wearing a bandana. Her fist was clenched as she was cracking her knuckles. She appeared very angry when she saw the three people before her. She then noticed the feline in the middle of the trio, who was frozen, which she thought was out of fear.
"You've got to be kidding me, YOU AGAIN!" She pointed to Gumball in rage at seeing him. She hated that blank look on his face as if he thought he was better than her.
This causes Julius, Clare, and Darrell to look at Gumball, who is still frozen.
"(In thought) Wait, they know each other?" All three said in their heads.
"Wait, is that Carmen you were talking to me about"? Clare asks the feline, who only nods.
"We need to run now." Darrel is trembling in fear.
"Why"? Clare again.
"That girl is La Doncella De Fuego of Franklin Jr High".
"Wait, what?"
Gumball tells Clare it means "The Maiden of Fire" in Spanish.
"She's known as one of the most vicious delinquents in that middle school. She causes countless fights at school, vandalizes the city streets and buildings, and skips school daily; plus, she has a short fuse." Darrel warns Clare about Carmen.
"(In thought) You've got to be kidding me? This is the girl Gumball asked me for advice on how to talk to her?" Clare views this as absurd. While Gumball stands there looking at the cactus.
"So weak, you brought that wimp and your girlfriend with you for your beating." Carmen walked towards Gumball while Darrel hid in the bush in fear.
"Okay, Carmen. This kid here is not my boyfriend," Clare said defensively.
"Of course, she isn't; she's my big sister," Gumball corrected the cactus.
"No, I'm not," she shouted at the cat.
"I am not going down so easily, Waterson!" Ocho charged toward the feline after recovering from that hit. The eight-bit spider missed but was about to hit the cactus girl.
"Hey, get outta my way, ya prick." The spider then fired an 8-bit bolt at the cactus girl. But it just bounced off of her Cacti body.
"WHAT DID YOU CALL ME, YOU EIGHT-BIT PIECE OF SHIT"!
She charged at the spider as it continued to fire at her while she sat at it.
She tries to slam him with her body, but he grabs her face and repeatedly punches her in the face. Her fists are so rapid that it appears she has multiple hands hitting the 8-bit insect.
He used his combo to move up, down, up, down, left, right, left, and pressed B. Before he could reach A, the Cactus girl kicked him so hard in the face that it sent the 8-bit punk flying into the sky, screaming "Ahh!" with a twinkle in the sky.
This causes Clare to look in shock and then flee into the bush where Darrel is and Julius to grin evilly as seeing one pain in the neck gone.
Carmen, still angry, look at Gumball, not sounding tired after beating up Ocho with three tick marks on her face.
"COME ON"! The Cactus girl repeatedly punches the feline's body, but he doesn't feel a thing. Still keeping the same blank look as she keeps hitting him.
"Stop standing there and fight me." The feline looks down to see her. Then he turns his eyes to the bush where his friends are.
Clare emerges from the bush, branches, and leaves in her hair and her thumb stuck inside her sleeve.
"Go for it," she said with a blank expression and twinkling eyes.
Carmen appeared more humanoid, with braided hair tied in a bun. She wore the bandana on her head, with bandages on her arms, a white t-shirt, and teal shorts. She growled like an angry dog about to strike Julius behind her with a smug smile.
Carmen is still growling at him. "I saw some of the graffiti that you made."
"It looks amazing, and you are a very talented artist."
"Huh"? This causes the cactus girl's face to be pink after hearing his compliment.
"What the hell? Julius, after hearing this.
"Can you teach me how to spray paint like that sometime?"
This causes Carmen to blush, her arm rubbing her back in embarrassment.
"Umm, well, I... don't think I'm... that great of...an artist.." She is saying this as if she has no idea what to say.
"Are You Serious"? Julius looks in confusion about what is going on.
Gumball turns his head to see Clare in the bushes, and he gives a thumbs-up and a wink. At the same time, Carmen is twiddling her fingers with her face a bit red.
"Good enough...?". With a sweat down behind her.
"I can't believe that worked"? Darrel is in his thoughts after Gumball complements the thug.
Gumball bends down and puts his paw on the cactus girl's head. This startles the cactus girl while the other three look in shock.
"WHAT IS HE DOING"! All three say this in shock.
Carmen looks up at where Gumball is, and her face looks embarrassed and confused. When he sees Gumball's face, it seems he is ting to smile, but it comes off as terrifying and creepy.
You know by looking at me. I figured out that a Carnegiea gigantea, a Saguaro cactus is one of the defining plants of the Sonoran Desert. Giant, tree-like columnar cacti develop branches (or arms) as they age, although some never grow arms. These arms generally bend upward and can number over 25. Saguaros are covered with protective spines, white flowers in the late spring, and red fruit in summer.
"Umm...where are you going with this."? Carmen is confused about what he is talking about, and his smile is creepy.
The feline face then returns to a more nervous one.
"Okay, what I'm trying to say is..." He pauses for a few seconds, then says to her in Spanish.
"Que eres una linda chica Carmen." He says with the same attempt to smile, but it shows his fangs which comes off as scary.
Carmen, after hearing this, has a surprised look on her face, with red covering her green body, now matching her bandana. It's either his creepy face or what he said to her. Carmen punches the feline in the left eye, sending him to the ground.
She stayed away from him for a while, but eventually, she couldn't take it anymore. "Stay away from me, or I'll destroy you!" She said, stuttering with a mix of embarrassment and anger. "That's right! If I see you again, I will destroy you, Watterson!" She returned to her angry state, trying to hide the redness in her cheeks.
The cactus then runs away after hitting him.
"Hey, wait, where are you going? Aren't you going to finish him off.?" Julius screamed at her to return.
Then Darrel and Clare got out of the band and then to Gumball. He has a black eye on his left eye with a face with an unsure look on his face.
"Is he going to be alright"? Clare asked the hotdog about the blue cat feeling a bit concerned for him.
"It will take a lot more than that to put him down. So he'll be fine. Darrel is saying this nonchalantly.
Then Julius walks towards them, intending to beat all three of them, with his fist hitting his palm.
"Well, if you losers are done talking. Nothing is going to stop me from kicking your Ahh-"
The bomb boy's body gets slammed into the wall repeatedly while making pained noises, then his body floats up, spins around, and is thrown while screaming along the way into a nearby building, causing the glass on the wall to shatter.
The two wondered what just happened, but then they turned their heads to see William, whose red eye returned to its green color. Then the floating eyeball turns to see them.
"Uh... thanks, I guess"? Clare was unsure of responding to this.
The floating eyeball then flies to Gumball, who stands up blankly as if trying to grasp something.
"If you're wondering, when I saw Ocho flying from the distance, I flew to where he was and saw that bomb guy attacking you." William was "telling" Gumball while the other two couldn't hear his words.
"Well, actually, it wasn't Julius that did that. It was a girl that he had a crush on that punched him. But he was invading the space, so she knocked him out." Darrel told William what happened as if he was sure William misunderstood the situation.
"So, were you guys doing anyway?" The eyeball asks the feline.
"..." The feline doesn't respond.
"Gumball"? The eyeball asked him again.
Then Clare taps the feline's shoulder.
"Nicolas." The teen says his real name causes him to escape his trance.
"Huh"? Turning his head left and right, he sees that William is with them now.
"Umm, sorry about that, William. It's just head has been acting strange since I meet her."
"You mean the girl that kicked your butt. If you want me to make sure she leaves you alone, then-".
"That won't be necessary. It was my fault I provoked her, and I don't want to see her hurt at all." He then felt his face warm but thought he might have had a cold.
"Anyway, do you wanna join us 'cause we're going to Joyful Burger, and you can come with us if you want. The feline asked the floating eyeball.
William felt a little weird about this because someone invited him to hang out with him.
"...Sure, as long as I don't have to go home for a few hours." William nods his eye.
The four of them then continue to walk toward the restaurant. Darrel was a bit creeped out by William, who was looking at him.
"This is going to be a long day." The nervous hot dog said this in his mind as he walked with his friends.
~Joyful Burger
The place was a fast-food restaurant/chain with multiple franchises around Elmore. Its primary employee is Larry, who is the cashier of the restaurant. ( Although you all probably already knew that anyway.)
Carrie, who is inside the restaurant, looks very mad. She was looking for someone she last saw entering the place. She jumped in the ball pit and saw him jump in a while, avoiding her.
"I know you there, Lapin, so quit hiding and come out here. YOU KNOW YOU'RE NOT SUPPOSED TO LEAVE THE HOUSE"! She screams as she pops out of the ball pit, along with the cloak rabbit fleeing from her.
"But I'm so hungry. I have to eat, or I'll die"? He complains like a kid.
"You're already dead. You don't need to eat anything."
"But what about you? I saw you eating after you possessed that boy"?
"That's different, Lapin. Unlike me, no one can see you. So it would help if you went home before you cause any"-
The doors of the restaurant ring. Then Carrie sees Gumball and three others from the school with him. The feline notices Carrie, who looks in shock. But then Carrie throws Lapin into the ball pit before he sees Gumball.
"Carrie, is that you"? As he sees Carrie, who has a forced grin.
"Oh hey Nicolas, and you brought along Clare and William and...The Hot Dog Guy." She forgets his name.
"My name's Darrel." The sunglass-wearing weenie replied. He then looks at the writer with a disapproving scowl at being called a weenie.
"Oh, right, so what brings you guys here"? Carrie stalls them while Lapin escapes through the ball pit, going right through the ground and out of the store.
"We were going to eat here. So right now, we're finding some seats to sit and eat. If you want to join, you must pay for your food, Carrie." Clare informs Carrie in her usual dull matter.
" That sounds great. I wouldn't mind hanging out with you guys at all." She said this while rubbing her head as she turned to ensure he was gone. The four were walking away to find a table. Then Carrie soon follows them, knowing Lapin is returning home.
~30 minutes later
At the table, Darrel and Gumball were at one table discussing something, while Clare, Carrie, and William were at the one next to them. Clare and Carrie were on one side, while William was at the opposite end of the table.
Carrie and Clare stared at William, examining his tray with one hamburger, fries, and a drink. Sweatdrops appeared behind both girls as they looked on in uncertainty at the floating eyeball with wings.
Clare then turns to Carrie then whispers to her.
"How does he even eat?" Clare asks the ghost girl, who claims to be punk rock.
"I don't know. Maybe if we wait and watch, we'll find out soon," Carrie whispered back to the emo girl.
Then William unleashed a screeching sound as his eyes opened, revealing small fangs within his glare while his mouth drooled.
The two girls looked surprised as they saw William devouring the entire meal, including the tray.
Clare was speechless when she heard Carrie utter this line.
"Cool."
Gumball and Darrell turn to see William eating, and the crunching sound is loud.
Gumball looks in, surprised that the eyeball has a mouth.
"If you think that's strange, you should see how his brother eats," Darrel thinks in disgust as he recalls something that happened earlier today.
The eyeball creature's eye turns red while glaring at the hot dog when he mentions his sibling. Gumball then changes the subject before William can strike at Darrel.
"So anyway, the book I got yesterday." Gumball pulls The Adventures Of Noccochio out of his backpack. "
Clare saw more and more of the book Gumball was reading. It was very violent and graphic, but she noticed some pages missing with the story ending with Nococchio about to fight the Killer Dogfish. The next page is an empty hat that pops out of the ocean with the word "FIN" at the end of the book.
"Huh, what a downer ending," Darrel thought to himself.
"Maybe it's because of the story's original ending with her being hanged," William tells Gumball. "That's why no one bothers to read further into the book."
"Well, that and the cover has the character being hanged." Gumball closed the book to the cover to reveal it.
Again, how did this story end up being "bright and cheerful," like the Daisy movie? Claire, after seeing all those brutal moments in the book.
At the movie's end, Noco turns into a human after saving her dad from the whale. Although those kids got turned into donkeys, and the bad guys were never punished, it might have been a bittersweet ending at best. Clare thinks the movie she watched when she was younger wasn't as pleasant as she thought.
"Yeah, they cut out all the good stuff to make it child-friendly with a bunch of cheesy songs," Carrie says, annoyed, except for that one song in the movie, which she hums in her sleep.
Then the moody teen remembers what Ocho said earlier to them.
"Say Gumball"? The feline turns to Clare.
"So what did Ocho say about you being a Cabbit? What did he mean by that."?
"Well, that's because my dad was a rabbit, and mom is a cat." Gumball removes one of his shoes to reveal a rabbit foot longer than his shoe underneath. Then opens his lower jaw to reveal a rabbit tooth in the front of his lower jaw.
This confuses Clare, Carrie, and William, except for Darrel, who already knows this.
"Uh, how do his feet even fit in those shoes."? Clare was saying this in her thoughts.
"Wait, did he say rabbit"? Carrie thought in her thoughts after he said his dad was a rabbit.
"You're a hybrid"? William, with his eye shirk, tries to express his confusion.
"..Yes". The cabbit answers him.
"So where is your dad anyway, Nic-" Darrel covers Clare's mouth.
"Just you warn you, Clare never mentions his dad to Officer Watterson. That is one of the many ways to get in her bad side." He sounds terrified if someone mentions him.
Come on, how terrifying can this woman be anyway? Clare sees Carrie, and William trembles while Gumball has a cold glare.
Then they hear police sirens outside. Peering through a window, they see a group of police officers made of food standing there, bored, except for the Donut Chief, who is eating a donut.
Officer Watterson beat the ever-living daylights out of Felicity Parham with a baton that was covered in barbwire for stealing a car and endangering the citizens while threatening the Police Commissioner after Felicity had a metal breakdown upon seeing one child jaywalking in the street and an officer telling her to calm down and abandoning her child her seeing the jaywalker. Then when she tries to hit back, Nicole tasers her while shoving her in the police car and slams the deranged woman in the face with the door after handcuffing her.
Clare looks in horror at what just happened. While the other three go back into what they were doing. With Gumball being the only one who stayed with her.
"Also, that's his mom," Darrel points to Gumball, who turns to Clare with a very cold Starr.
"Welcome to Elmore Clare," Gumball told the moody teen in a monotone voice. At the same time, she was holding a death glare at his mother, who was driving away with the criminal locked up in her car, still shouting in insane fury.
"Just what the hell is going on in this crazy town"? Clare was saying this in her thoughts.
