The Incomplete World Of Elmore
Part 7
~Clare's Bedroom
It was Monday morning, the sun was shining, the leaves were falling, and it was snowing on another street.
The mopey teenager was sleeping peacefully in her pajamas of a pink donkey. As she was asleep, she heard the alarm she punched the alarm.
"Five more minutes, Mommy." Clare was still a little tired as she went back to sleep until she heard a purring sound on her bed.
"Ugh, stupid cat...". She closes her eyes to go back to dreamland until her eyes pop open when she realizes that something is wrong.
"Wait a second; I don't have a cat !?" She opens her eyes very wide and pulls off the blanket. But she sees Gumball sleeping on her legs and curling up like a cat when the covers are gone. He wore a black shirt sleeve shirt with blue straps on the end of the shirt's sleeves and dark brown shorts as pajamas.
Although initially confused, she also found this a mix of annoyance/adorable, seeing him like this with his ears twitching along with his colossal rabbit feet.
"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING IN MY ROOM"!? Clare shouts, causing Gumball to fall off her bed, but he lands on his feet.
Gumball then stretches and looks at Clare with his usually calm face.
"I wanted to check on you to see if you were okay." Saying this while scratching his ears.
"I was fine until you barged into my room and entered my bed." Seething with a bit of rage.
"I didn't barge into your room and come to your house after I fed Aphrodite."
"So why were you in my bed?" Her arms filled with an angry scowl.
"I went to your window, opened it, then closed it. I was tired, plus it was very late, so I just went to your bed, watched you sleep a bit, and then dozed off."
"You were watching me while I was sleeping!?" Sounding crept out by this.
"You kinda looked like an angel when you were sleeping-"
"DUDE"! Sounding angry at him cause this sounded like what a stalker would do.
"What's wrong?" Unsure what was wrong with what he did.
"Just leave my room; I need to change for school." She kicks him in the face and out of her room; he lands on the wall and slams the door.
"Umm, Sis, my clothes are." She opens the door and throws the bag of his stuff to his face.
"Never mind." He grabs his stuff and then heads toward the bathroom to change.
~Bus Stop
While walking to the bus together, Clare tells the cabbit to walk behind her, still angry that he had entered her house without permission.
Then she sees Alan and William, who are just at the bus stop. Clare looks down and sees William, who is looking at her. She feels very uncomfortable looking at the Eyeball now using the same hand she cut off as her feet.
"Good morning to both of you on this fine day," the balloon said as it waved at the Cabbit and the moody teen. While Gumball waved back, Clare slapped his hand.
"Guessing you two slept well," William says sarcastically to them.
"Of course I did. I was sleeping with-"
Then Clare karate chops Gumball's head to make him quiet.
The school bus arrives before William can answer him. Rocky, the school janitor and bus driver, opens the doors to let the kids on. Clare and William climb aboard the bus.
But before Gumball could get on it, Alan poked him in the back.
"Gumball, may I ask you something?" sounding concerned.
"What is it, Allan?"
"When William came home last night, he brought along a severed hand that he's now using as legs. Can you please tell me where he got that?" Alan asks Gumball about his brother's new appendage.
"Clare cut off a spiral guy's arm with a zipper," Gumball said honestly, then got on the bus.
He initially sounds cheerful but then realizes something is wrong.
"Okay, thanks for clearing that up... Wait, what? The balloon boy is now even more confused by the last statement."
~Elmore Jr High
In the classroom, everything was about the same. Ms. Simian had the same enthusiasm for teaching as someone who wanted to go home early.
All except for William notice the empty seat in the classroom, but no one else seems to care about it. When the cabbit asks the primate teacher about this, she replies not to interrupt her during class, or he will get detention.
"Since you enjoy learning so much, I am assigning you to work on a project with a partner in the upcoming class."
Gumball said in his usual monotone voice, "That doesn't seem so bad."
"You're partnered up with Fitzgerald," he said in sadistic glee. This caused Penny's disgust to grow while Gumball's ears flopped down in disappointment at hearing this news.
Penny glared at him with her five eyes while one of her six limbs broke a pencil in two. Gumball shook in disgust at this but focused on listening to the teacher.
Carrie was still upset over what had happened last night when Nicolas had called her dad a monster. She turned to see Ocho chatting with Tobias about some trivial matter.
Ms. Simian assigns each student to work in pairs.
Tobias/Tina, Juke/Molly, Carrie/Loki, William/Alan, Teri/ Masami, Idaho/Sussie, Anton/Jamie, Ocho/Bobert, Leslie/Clayton, Colin/Felix, and finally, Gumball/Penny.
Carrie sees her partner, Loki, standing behind Penny, humming a song he heard on the radio. He turns to her and waves with a goofy smile on his face.
He appeared to be a very odd goldfish with rabbit fur as a necklace. However, Carrie found some of his charm rather cute. Either way, this project could distract her from other things.
"Um, what about me?" A student raising her hand is revealed to be a giant ice cream girl with a yellow head and red lips wearing an orange cone.
The primate said in apathy, "You have to do the project all by yourself." Sarah then groaned in disappointment as the bell rang, signaling the end of the class.
~ Schoolyard
The students were playing with each other. Masami and Penny were chatting with Leslie, Jamie, and Tina while they played basketball. Meanwhile, Sarah sat by herself, reading comics.
Gumball sat alone on the bench with Bobert. However, Gumball had a troubled look on his face, which Bobert noticed.
"You seem to be feeling troubled about something," the robot asks in a monotone voice similar to Gumballs.
"I have trouble processing all of this right now," he said as the rabbit's ears lay flat against its back.
"Are you stressed about the assignment we received from Ms. Simian and having Penny as your partner for the project?"
"It isn't that there's just one thing that I have a burning feeling in my heart every time I encounter Car... Mella." Trying not to say her name, which causes him to feel off.
"What you described sounds like heartburn," Bob says, blinking.
"Also, Carrie and Clare are mad at me, though Clare may be justified since I went to her house unannounced last night."
"That's called trespassing, and it's considered a felony under the law."
"Well, that would explain her reaction. Carrie, on the other hand, was different. It was after I called the snatcher a monster and said you wouldn't know how it feels to lose your dad. Gumball then rubs his chin with his hand, thinking that the snatcher is somehow connected to Carrie's father."
"If my calculations are correct, the snatcher might kill her... Before Bobert could say anything, William flew towards them with something."
"Hey Gumball, do you remember that girl you told me you had a crush on?" William asked while holding his phone. Alan, Banana Joe, Masami, Leslie, and Tobias were beside him.
"But I don't want to crush her." Still thinking they want him to crush her.
"No, that..is not..what I..ugh," He rolls his eye.
"Just look at this video," he says, hitting play on his phone, and the Elmore News logo appears on the screen.
A news reporter stands outside Franklin Junior High School. A news reporter named Mike, wearing a microphone on his head, stands outside.
Police forcibly removed a local girl expelled from Franklin Junior High School this morning.
It cuts to a human-grown male whose face is blurred out and who appears to be the school's principal. He seems to be trembling in fear.
Ah, she was horrible. She kept disrespecting me, making fun of my face, saying things like, "Hey, Blurry McBlurrerson, if you were a movie, you would be a pirate screener." He then gasps in fear. Here she comes!"
Carmen is being dragged by her handcuffs, kicking and screaming at the police car driven by Sheriff Rosenberg and Officer Lassen. She kicks The Donut in the knee as she attempts to flee.
A fully-grown feline resembling Gumball but with navy blue fur leaps out and pins the cactus thug to the ground, then tasers her.
Nicole then drags her to the police car while kicking and screaming, trying to break free, but Deputy Watterson repeatedly smacks her in the head with the baton until she stops struggling.
Carmen was now in the police car as it drove away. Cut to her mug shot image, followed by the idea of her charging at the photographer in rage.
The kids, besides William and Gumball, were shocked. However, the rabbit's expression remained unchanged; he felt sorry for the cactus, despite her not being kind to him.
"Jesus Christ, what is wrong with that girl?" Leslie looked at her in shock.
Masami sighs in relief as she hears news of La Doncella de Fuego being arrested.
"Seriously, why do the hot girls always turn out to be completely violent?" Tobias screamed in disappointment as he started to shiver.
"Talk about getting that throne out of your side." Banana Joe laughs at his joke but quickly drops it when he feels cold.
"Huh, guess you like the feisty ones, don't you, Nicolas?" William looked at him only to be met with a cold glare from the Eyeball.
"Are you feeling alright, Gumball?" Tobias asks. The cabbit doesn't answer him. Then William types something on his phone and shows Alan what he ordered.
"He's upset because the girl he has a crush on just went to prison," causing the balloon's eyes to shrink and gasp. He looks at his brother, who nods.
William takes his phone out of his pocket, reads what it says, and shows it to the others in the Schoolyard.
"You've got to be kidding me," Masami exclaimed in disbelief at the absurdity of it all.
~School Yard
In the Schoolyard, Gumball is talking to another girl named Rachel Wilson.
She looked similar to her brother Tobias but was taller and had turquoise skin. Her hair was braided into intricate patterns in various colors, such as lime green, orange, and magenta. She wore a white T-shirt and a lime-yellow skirt.
"Geez, what's wrong with those babies?" the turquoise girl asks Clare.
She still has the same mopey look on her face. "They're probably watching the video of that cactus chick getting arrested," she says.
Well, at least things can get quieter now that Julius and his thugs have split up, and the Doncella de Fuego is behind bars," Rachel said as she put her hands behind her head and leaned against the school wall.
"Yeah, but that's probably not going to happen because of those loudmouths over there." Clare turned to see Gumball, oddly the quietest of the group, and she was still a bit mad at him from earlier in the morning.
He is seen talking to some of them. Most of them are flipping out over his crush on the thug who was arrested.
"Speaking of which, didn't that cat kid keep calling you 'sis' or something?" Rachel asked, looking at Clare, who was annoyed by this.
"He came to me for advice about how to talk to his crush."
"Aww, that's so sweet of you. Giving that furry friend confidence."
She turns away without looking at Rachel.
"How did that work out for him?"
"Well...
~Flashback
Gumball is seen next to Carmen. He was holding a chocolate box in the shape of a heart. He tries to smile, but Carmen gets irritated. She takes the box from his hand and slams it into his face, walking away in annoyance and leaving Gumball to taste the chocolate alone.
In another attempt, Gumball had multiple Hummingbirds in one cage. Carmen looked surprised at this.
But she gets angry and kicks him in the shins, causing him to drop the cage, revealing the hummingbirds that immediately attack him. While the birds were attacking him, Carmen tried not to laugh but eventually started chuckling and finally laughed out loud.
While she was laughing, it contrasted her thuggish appearance as it was very adorable. She leaves while still laughing, with one bird following her. Not caring for the hummingbirds, Gumball pecks him as he is lost after hearing the cactus girl's laughter.
The final one was at a restaurant with both of them present. Gumball looked very nervous while the cactus was glaring at him. At the same time, she was eating vegetables, including some spicy food.
"So...do you want to try the salad? It tastes great with garlic," he said, keeping his eyes off of her as he maintained the same creepy smile.
Carmen stops eating and glares at him in cold fury.
We cut to an explosion that was outside the restaurant. Inside the place, Carmen was still eating her vegetables, and Nicolas was covered in cinders and smoked all over his body.
She hates garlic and then leaves the table.
"But thanks for the food anyway," the cactus says, blowing Gumball's ashes into the wind. The cactus then walks away, satisfied with her meal.
"You're welcome," his voice echoes through the wind. Carmen turns to see where the sound comes from.
~End Flashback
"It didn't end well," Clare said, understating the situation.
"Are you still up for going to the mall later? I heard that the fall season outfits especially fit your emo look." Rachel is gleefully excited about this.
Sarah then shows up towards the girls and says she'll tag along because of the new manga coming out today in English.
Don't you have any regular hobbies, Dolly? Rachel asked.
"Well, I can either be stalking my ex, writing fanfics, or helping my parents with their conspiracy theories."
"Oh joy," Clare remarked dryly.
"You know, like multiple universes, the world being a simulation of a TV show, ink monsters causing the Apocalypse, a Spiral Guy controlling the town. You know, the regular stuff," Sarah lists off, but Clare hears that last one.
Clare thinks, "A spiral guy? Is she talking about that, Vutuo?" She looks at Rachel, her finger spinning around near her head with the words cuckoo as she isn't saying it aloud.
"Um...yeah, Rachel, I'll meet you at the mall. I have to go...to the bathroom," she says with a forced smile, then starts running towards the school.
"Okay, Clare, I'll see you after school," Rachel waved as she was confused about this.
When she looks back at those kids talking to Gumball, She overhears the feline asking the floating Eyeball for money. The cat usually finds this odd because William is conscientious about spending his money.
"I probably just left my cash at home," William casually spoke to the cabbit.
"Are you sure about that, Will?" Gumball wonders if something is off with him.
William then takes 5 dollars from Gumball's pocket. Alan disapproves of him doing this while floating away.
William waits for the rest of the students to leave until only Gumball remains. Then he uses his hand to poke the cabbit on its shoulder.
"By the way, Gumball, are we still planning on taking him down?" William asked the Cabbit, who looked confused.
"Hold on," Gumball said, remembering he had left without a word. "I thought you didn't want to be involved in anything like this?"
William puts his hand up. "What do you mean I left because I wanted to go home and think about it?"
"Look, Will, I promised Sis that I wouldn't get involved in any of this, and I have to do the biology project after school with Penelope, " he said, sounding irritated.
"Damn, I knew you would chicken out of this," he rolled his eyes and walked toward class, using his hand as a guide.
When the cat approached the school after the bell had rung, it heard this.
"If you do change your mind, please feel free to visit my home. Or not. I don't care either way... Dick." Sound a bit hurt by this, but I hide it with irritation.
Gumball then wonders if something is bugging him. First, he needs to focus on getting back to class.
~ Cafeteria
While in the Cafeteria, Gumball and Darrell were sitting on one side of the table, while Clare sat on the other, still angry at the Cabbit for what happened earlier that day, along with Rachel.
Rachel asked, "Is this the guy who keeps calling you 'Sis'?" as she looked at Gumball, who was eating a carrot.
"Unfortunately, the only thing he can't do is leave me alone."
Gumball said, "I only came to check on you to make sure you're alright after what happened last night."
This causes Rachel to wonder what he is talking about, which causes Darrell and Clare's eyes to widen in surprise.
"Wait, did something happen to you guys yesterday?" Rachel turned to Clare and asked.
"Oh... I was saying we're at the..." Clare said nervously.
"The arcade? Yes, we were there last night."
Darrel is attempting to cover this story.
"The Arcade?". Rachel.
"Well, I invited her, Gumball, Carrie, and William to the arcade. We ran into Ocho, and he got angry at Gumball due to losing to him at Pac-Man." Darrel said.
Rachel said, "That doesn't explain why Gumball wanted to check on Clare."
"While Ocho was on a rampage, Gumball and I went outside to get some drinks from a vending machine. A mugger showed up and tried to take my money, but this guy over here beat the thief senseless, though I was traumatized by the incident."
Clare then put up a fake smile. "Then this little guy came over to my house to check on me and stayed the night." She patted him on the head like a cat, causing him to purr a bit.
He turns his head to see Clare with a fake smile and a twitchy eye urging him to go along with the lie.
"Certainly," Gumball replied.
Unfortunately, he didn't bother to tell me this before he fell asleep on my bed. She then smacked him on the back of his head.
"Well, that's sweet of him to check on you. But that sounds kinda inappropriate to do," Rachel said, feeling a little uneasy after hearing that.
"I didn't realize it was illegal until someone pointed it out to me."
"Isn't your mom a cop? How did you not know that?" Darrel asked.
"I never asked," Gumball said.
"Okay, you guys seem a little off. So I'm going to go talk to my other friends over there," Rachel said as she pointed towards a nearby table occupied by some eighth-graders from her and Clare's class.
"Okay, see you later, Rachel," Darrel said as he gave her a thumbs-up and an awkward smile while waving at her.
"Yeahhhh...Okay, what's going on here?" Darrel turns to Gumball and Clare with a harsh tone in his voice.
As I said before, he went to my house at night without permission.
"Not that I mean the email we received a few days ago," Darrel said.
Do you mean the one where you get cursed if you don't forward it to ten people? Gumball
"Exactly, and Carrie was very concerned about it when she asked us this," Darrel said.
Clare asked, "Are you saying that Carrie sent us that email under an anonymous name?"
"It's a stretch, but she likely did," Darrel said.
"Why would she do that?" asked Clare.
"I might have something to do with her dad."
"Her dad?" asked Clare.
"When I called the snatcher a monster, she reacted very defensively on his behalf." Gumball
"I guess those two are connected in some way," said Clare.
"You need to visit Carrie first and get her to answer some questions for this," Darrel said.
"I think she's furious at me for that. I'm not sure if she's in the talking mood." Gumball said.
"You need to go and apologize to Carrie," Clare says, pointing to William destroying the lunch kitchen after discovering his money was stolen. "Cause I'm pretty sure out of the four of us, William didn't forward it."
As some students look on in shock, Ocho comments, "Man, that guy has anger issues."
Tobias quietly chewed his food, turning his eyes left to right while avoiding eye contact with the 8-bit spider.
"I'll go and talk to Carrie after school," Gumball said.
"Good." Clare
"But before that, I must finish the biology project with Penny," Gumball remembers he has to do it after school.
"Doesn't she hate you?" Darrel asked.
"Yes, and I'm starting to feel the same about her. It's not a great feeling if I'm honest." Gumball said.
"It's not supposed to," Darrel said.
"Okay, first your project, then go to Carrie's place as fast as possible." Clare
"I got it, Sister." Gumball
"What did I- never mind." Clare.
"Plus, can you leave me outta this"? Darrel
"Got it." Gumball and Clare said in union with Gumball and her giving the hot dog a thumbs up.
With that, the bell rings, and the trio leaves the Cafeteria. Darrel overhears Ocho planning on taking down Vutuo.
" That idiot is gonna get himself killed if he fights that guy. Man, I don't wanna get involved in any of this". Darrel sounded frustrated, and he then planned to get coffee after school.
~ Fitzgerald's Home
After School, Gumball walked Penny to her house, wanting to finish the project as quickly as possible.
"I can't believe I'm stuck with this cold-hearted pet killer," Penny said in her thoughts. She met him a few years ago and then witnessed him crushing her pet Mr. Cuddles with a hammer.
"(In Thought)Just my luck; I have to work with the one who hates me the most in our class. After this, I gotta talk to Carrie and then save William." The cabbit is in his thoughts. He turns to her, her eyes glaring at him in a furious fire.
"She reminds me way too much of my mom, down to her voice." However, he notices she's much nicer to the other kids than him.
"So that you know when the assignment is done. Get out of my house, got it." Penny points with one of her six hands.
"Got it." He repeats the last line while trying to hide his disgust.
"Good." Saying it sinister but also bitter. She then knocks on the door of her home, and a giant coconut with antlers opens it.
It was her father, Patrick Fitzgerald. He appears very strict and tall with those hollow holes in his shell. Also, wear socks and sandals.
"Hi, Dad." Penny sounded polite toward her father.
"Penny, why did you bring one of your classmates to our house." He turns to see the feline.
"Oh great, this one's a boy." Thinking that this feline is interested in his daughter like that rainbow kid.
"If you're wondering, Dad, I'm not interested in this guy. Since I hate him with every bone of my body." She points to Gumball, who looks a bit annoyed.
"You do not have any bones." Gumball.
"I wasn't talking to you." Penny
"Plus, Dad, just the thought of me dating this Dick makes me wanna puke out my eyes. Penny was pretending to puke.
"I'm just here to work on the biology project, and how did you know my middle name," Gumball tells Fitzgerald, who doesn't like him.
Penny then walks upstairs with Gumball following her. Until he felt someone's hand on his shoulder, and that would be her father.
"Hey, kid, feel free to leave my house immediately after you are done here," Patrick says with a chipper voice.
"That's what I planned on doing after the project is done, Mr. Fitzgerald." The collar then grabbed him, and he was staring directly at Patrick's face.
"I don't think you are getting the message. If you try anything funny with my daughter, I will make sure you regret it". Patrick
"As I already said before, Mr. Fitzgerald. I'm only here to finish the assignment given to me by our teacher and nothing else." Gumball turns his head to look at the Coconut with his green eyes. With no fear in his voice.
"Don't you dare lie to me"? Patrick
"What would I gain by lying to you, Mr. Fitzgerald?."
Patrick sees that the feline is not frightened by him at all. He still holds that menacing look at Gumball, which gives a vicious one back at the Peanut.
"So let me get this straight. You're not into my daughter?" Patrick
"Correct, I'm here only for the project, and I'm what you would say. "I am into someone," But her name is Carmella." Gumball
After hearing that the Cabbit wasn't into his daughter. But he was still hostile towards him because he was the child of that woman who beat him up in middle school. The two glared at each other with something described as mutual anger. Gumball notices something inside the Coconut's hollow eyes, and it is some purple aura.
Until there was a ding was heard somewhere.
"Honey, can you help with setting the table?" A woman was calling Patrick, who then let go of Gumball.
"Okay, but just so we're clear, you get outta my house when you're done with that project." Patrick then leaves to help his wife.
"I intend to, Mr. Fitzgerald." The cabbit fixes his sweater collar. At the same time, she sounded annoyed by her father's stubbornness.
"Good." Patrick then walks towards the kitchen but rubs his hand, wondering why it is so cold.
He sees the kitchen as he walks and notices another fully grown peanut resembling Penny.
She turns to see him with a disturbing smile and a knife in her hand. The Cabbit sees a red aura around the peanut woman.
"Guess this is where Penny got her viciousness, but she does act more like her Dad now that I think about it." Saying in his thoughts.
At the top of the stairs, he sees a miniature version of Penny in another room. But this happens to be her little sister Polly.
She shows him a picture of a croc rock which confuses home. Unlike the others, she had a pink auta and, unlike the others, wasn't showing any hostility towards him.
"The drawing looks good. "Gumball told the little Peanut, which caused her to smile.
~ Penny's Room
When he enters Penny's room, it is filled with a simple bed, bookshelves, a table, and a computer.
Around her room were images of superheroes based on spiders, including one superhero with a hoodie called Phantom Widow.
"So I'm guessing you're into arachnids." He looks around her room.
"What gave that away, Captain Obvious." Penny snarks at Gumball, who is getting the biology project out of his backpack.
"Well, let's get this started so we don't have to deal with each other again." Gumball.
"Finally, something that both of us can agree on." Penny then took some of the sheets of paper, and the two started working on it.
While working on it, Gumball looks at Penny with three of her five eyes looking at him. He notices a strange yellow aura around her, including a yellow glow within her eyes.
"So, what exactly are you and your family?" Gumball asks Penny, who looks at him in confusion.
"We're peanuts with antlers on our heads, and that's all you need to know." Penny.
"So you're Doe Nuts?" Gumball.
"...Shut up". Penny sounded annoyed by this, and she is now on the last page of the assignment.
"Can I ask you something, Gumball, if that's your real name"? Penny
"Go ahead, and it isn't. My name is Nicolas...After my mom's middle name." Gumball tells her this while focusing on the paper.
"Do you have any pets, Nicolas"? Penny says that the last line with venom
"Not animal pets cause mom doesn't allow those in the house. Except for my Venus Flytrap Aphrodite. Also, only my friends can call me Nicolas." Gumball.
"You have a Venus Fly Trap for a pet?" Penny.
"You have a pet spider in your house and the one in a box out there." There's an image of Mr. Snuggles, who hisses at him.
"Yes, he's only like that cause you killed his brother." Penny
"Sorry, Mr. Snuggles," Gumball said as he looked at the spider, who growled at him.
Don't apologize. Your apology means nothing to him or me. Wait, you're a cabbit? Penny.
"Yes, a cabbit is a cat-rabbit hybrid. If you didn't know that, Ms. Peanut."
There's an awkward silence in the room, with Penny glaring at him. He had no idea how to respond to this.
"Are your parents related to each other?" asked Gumball.
"What?" Penny's eyes glowed the same yellow as before at hearing that.
"I just think that's because they do look a lot alike. Are they cousins or something? I have no idea about that." Gumball said.
"GET OUT"! Penny, after she finishes the project and gives him the other half.
He is about to leave, but Penny stops him as he goes for the door.
"Hold on, you're not allowed to use the front or back door," Penny told him.
Gumball then turns his eyes at something next to him.
"Okay," he said as he jumped out of her window, much to her shock. When Peanut looked out of the window, she saw him land on his feet before falling.
He turns to see Peanut looking at him from her window.
He says, "I am a part cat and always land on my feet." Then he runs and jumps over the fence of their house while burrowing through the ground like a rabbit.
"Well, I'll be damned; he's a hybrid," her parents said as they called Penny for dinner. She was happy that she didn't have to deal with him for the rest of the day.
~Near Kruger Manor
Carrie is at home with Loki, who only followed her to the manor for the biology project. She then receives a message on her phone from Darrell, saying that the charges against them were dropped after Carmen confessed to the graffiti on the statue.
She's a bit relieved after reading this but now has to deal with the eccentric goldfish from her class who wears rabbit feet around its head like a necklace.
"So Carrie is happy with teaming up together for the project," Loki says, upbeat, with one eye looking away and the other at Carrie.
Carrie felt a bit uneasy about the goldfish. Although it didn't seem like a threat after they got off the bus, it was chased by a group of crows who wanted to peck at it.
He was screaming all the way, trying to get them away. This caused Carrie to laugh at his misfortune. After that, Loki stepped on a black cat, causing it to scratch his face.
He walks under a ladder, slips and breaks a mirror behind him, steps on some cracks in the pavement, and then spills some salt on the ground, which lands in his eyes, causing him to scream in pain.
Carrie thought to herself, "That was hilarious."
"I always had the worst of luck. That's why I have all these rabbit feet around my neck," he says, pointing to his multiple rabbit feet.
Carrie looked uncomfortable as she realized he had implied that he was the one who had cut those rabbits' feet off.
"Yeah, but my brother is very paranoid about this, so I get so many of them to counteract all my unlucky days." Loki laughs a bit, then stops.
"I can see why"? Carrie.
But today seems like my lucky day because I get to work with you." Giving a very goofy smile to the ghost girl.
Carrie rolls her eyes and then chuckles a bit at his smile.
"Maybe this wouldn't be so bad working with this fish boy," Carrie thought.
While they were walking, Loki kept humming, and she listened to it, though she didn't bother asking him what the song was. It was very upbeat.
~ Kruger Manor
The unlikely duo arrived at her home. They headed toward the living room to begin working on their biology homework.
Lapin is seen eating on the couch with some chips in his hands. However, there are food bowls scattered around the floor underneath the sofa.
Carrie's face turned red with anger at her roommate's piggish lifestyle.
"What the hell, LAPIN? Stop overeating and clean this mess up!" Carrie shouts as the ghost bunny jumps off the sofa with a scream, causing it to go through the ceiling and into the attic.
Carrie sighs at Lapin's lazy and greedy nature.
"Sorry for the mess," Carrie apologized.
Loki looks around and then back at Carrie.
"Please don't worry; I will get everything cleaned up."
Loki absorbs the pots and pans and starts cleaning the living room so quickly that she can't see it.
After the smoke cleared, the room was spotless with some sparkles, then he spits out the bowls, and they landed in the kitchen speechless after seeing this.
Loki said with an upbeat attitude, "Well, let's start on that biology thing, Care."
"Ugh, right?" Carrie said.
Carrie and I started working on the project. We created a conversation about our favorite music, including discussing death.
Carrie asked him if he liked the goldfish; he replied that it was his second favorite food after a rabbit.
Lapin walks downstairs after hearing the word "sushi." He sees Carrie has brought along company with her. The ghost rabbit introduces himself to her guest with his hand raised to say hello.
"Hello, my name is."
Loki tries to eat him, but all it does is go through the ghost instead and hit a wall. The ghost bunny still has its happy expression, but its eye twitches.
"Did we just "do it"? Lapin asks that question which Carrie looks at with her, head-turning left to right with a silent no.
"Oh, sorry, it's a force of habit." Loki.
"It's fine but don't ever do that again, okay? I'm Lapin, by the way," Lapin chuckled but stopped after seeing Loki looking at him like he was a giant snack, making him feel even more uneasy.
Is this guy part of your family or-"? Loki asked.
"He's kind of my roommate; we met twelve years ago when I was in town and heard an explosion nearby." Carrie read some of her biology homework.
"Oh, so does he remember anything before that?" Loki asked.
Lapin shook his head to try and regain some memories, but it was to no avail. "Not at all," he replied. "Everything, before the company exploded, was just one big blur."
"Well, that's unfortunate," Loki said.
"Yeah, but after Carrie gets her dad back, she'll-" Carrie then covers the rabbit's mouth.
She then opens the front door and whispers to the rabbit's ear that Joyful Burger has a limited-time Mega Burger that will expire in ten minutes. She then kicks him like a football, sending him flying into town.
She then slammed the door in a huff. Loki then overhears about a dad in that conversation. The goldfish asks her a question when she sits back on the couch.
Loki asked, "So what's this about your dad? Is he gone somewhere?"
Carrie turned her head toward him.
Carrie dodges the question, "That's none of your business, kid. Let's get back to work on this thing."
Oh, because my dad is out of town due to a business trip for a client in another country.
"What?". Carrie turns to see him.
"It does get a little lonely without him sometimes. But I still have my brother, so it's not all gloomy." Loki
"You have a brother"? Although she heard him mentioning having a sibling during their walk.
"Yeah, but he is very secretive about it and-" He does a familiar ringtone.
Which Carrie finds odd. Loki looked around the room until he saw a hair clip he was holding as a phone.
"Hang on for a minute. I have to go to the other room for a sec." Loki leaves the room. Carrie then holds the biology book in her hands.
Curiously, the ghost girl stays behind the wall outside the kitchen to hear the conversation. However, she can only hear a few things.
"..."
"Okay, so they got her in jail this morning? Well, that's a shame." Loki
"..."
"Do you wish to...?"
"..."
"Of course...bye, Dad." Loki drops the hair clip. Then starts to go back to the living room, but Carrie teleports back before he notices she is gone.
"Carrie, what was the name of the girl Gumball had a crush on again?"
"Why are you asking me that"?
"No reason; I'm just curious."
"Her name's Carmen Verde; I'm just wondering."
"Thanks, Carrie," Loki said before returning to focus on the assignment. Carrie wondered what he had been talking about with his dad on his phone.
~Near Kruger Manor
"Goodbye, Carrie," said Loki.
Loki leaves the manor after the project is finished. As he walks away, he sees the Cabbit jumping out of a hole in the ground and heading toward the mansion.
"And I thought my home was nuts." His view of the Fitzgeralds is that they are emotionally unstable and think it would be much wiser to avoid them at all costs.
They were walking on different sides of the street, with one leaving and the other going to enter. They both looked at each other even if they were far away.
The minute the cabbit blinked, Loki was right in front of him, giving Nicolas the most disturbing smile he had. At the same time, Gumball gave him an icy death glare in return.
Gumball's eyes glowed a very pine green. At the same time, Loki's eyes lit up a violet color. The air was intense, not due to a literal tornado behind them.
"I don't like you, Nicolas," Loki said to Gumball, using his real name. Loki mimics a ringtone, causing the fish to look at his "phone" as if it were a rag doll of Peter Rabbit with its ears and legs ripped off.
"Excuse me," Loki says, "I must take this phone call." He then leaves and runs as fast as he can.
He left Gumball alone with an expression of shock and disbelief.
He thought, "I stand corrected," then went to Carrie's manor's door.
After being out of earshot and sight, Loki used the phone and a box of tissues.
"Okay, what did you want to talk about, brother?" Loki's eyes then shift into a sinister purple iris.
"I just got an idea of how we can end our problems. But it will have to involve her to get this plan going." Brother said.
The goldfish nods in agreement and then drops his communication device.
"Awaken Judah!" Loki roared while striking a pose, putting his hands in the air like he didn't care.
His eyes rolled upward as six fingers with nails painted green popped out of Loki's mouth and then started to move to open the fish's mouth wide open. This was all done in shadow as something emerged from the goldfish with legs. The creature then opened the fish inside out as the new shape formed.
After the transformation, all that remained was a mermaid with a red-orange scales tail, light orange skin, Burnett hair with red highlights at the tips of her hair which was tied up into a ponytail with an aqua green shell, wearing a green hoodie and black leggings, her eyes were hazel colored with sharp shark-like teeth as she smiled warmly towards the reader.
"Time to get this party started, boys," Judah said as he walked into the night toward an unknown destination.
~Kruger Manor
Carrie then heard a knock on the door. She thought it might be Loki who had forgotten his homework or something.
But when she opens the door, she sees it's Gumball Watterson standing there instead. His expression remains cold, but he seems concerned about something.
Carrie didn't sound friendly towards him after that insult from last night. "What do you want?" she asked.
"I'm here to apologize for what I said to you last night. The subject of the snatcher is very personal for me." Gumball tries to make eye contact with her, and Carrie is still unsure about letting him in.
She was about to close the door on him as she said, "I don't believe you."
"It's also about the email you sent; William did not forward it."
"Look, I have no idea what it feels like to lose your parent as I've never met mine. But I need your help so no one else will suffer from losing someone important to them."Gumball says this sincerely to the ghost girl.
She thinks for a second, then opens the door with a sign.
"Get in," she said.
The two were now in Carrie's bedroom, and she was searching for something while Gumball sat on her bed.
"So you were the one who sent us those emails?" Gumball asked.
Yes..and by the way, I told you guys to forward them." Carrie still throws books off the shelves while Gumball stacks them up orderly.
"William is the type that if you tell him not to do something, he'll do it out of spite." Gumball
Carrie asked, "What's wrong with him?"
"I'm pretty sure he must be a thrill-seeker," Gumball said, looking up to see Carrie perched on the shelf.
"So, what exactly are you looking for?" asked Gumball.
"Something that will help us against the Snatchers," Carrie said as she continued to look around.
"If we're going to fight him, I would like to know how much information you have on this specter."
Carrie then informs the Cabbit of the spirit's origin.
"There once was a young man, a mortal man, who fell in love with a beautiful ghost after seeing her in a mirror. All he wanted was to kiss her just once. In a forbidden book, he found magic. It allowed the living to touch a ghost. The price for this: a cursed life. Now, his spirit floats in limbo, trapped behind mirrors. Every day, the days become lonelier and more desperate as he searches for someone to share his curse."
"So what does this curse have to do with you?" Gumball cuts her off.
Carrie shouts back, "I'm getting to that!"
"But did you know the young man and ghost had a child?" Carrie asked.
He points to Carrie, who has a deadpan look on her face.
Carrie replied in a deadpan voice, "Yes, that kid was me." After a few moments of silence, she spotted something on her bookshelf.
"Found it," she said, holding up a book that resembled the Necronomicon from Evil Dead.
"So, what's your plan for dealing with this ghost?" Gumball asked.
"The book says we summon him by calling his name five times. When he appears in the mirror, at the first light of dawn, we smash him with the book and break the spell."
"Why do we have to say his name five times?"
"Duh... that's how you summon all ghosts," Carrie said with a duh face before returning to her usual expression.
"Really?" he asked, looking at her. "Carrie, Carrie, Carrie, Carrie, Carrie," he said as if counting. Then, she appeared right in front of him with a not-amused expression.
"Huh, it works. Carrie, Carrie, Carrie, Carrie, Carrie." She teleports on top of his head, enters his mouth, possesses his body, and slaps him.
She popped out of his mouth with an annoyed look.
"For the record, we didn't 'do it.' Carrie refers to the question I asked her a few days ago."
With that, the two started running out of the house and headed towards the Keane house, seven streets away. At the same time, he was running with Carrie on his back.
If you are still angry with me, I am very sorry for unknowingly insulting your dad." Gumball said with his ear falling.
Carrie was trying to focus on getting to the house sooner.
~Elmore Mall Karaoke Room
In one of the rooms was a karaoke station, and Rachel was holding the mike: Clare and a few other girls from their school. We're watching the multi-colored hair girl sing and dance to the song.
"I want your love and revenge; you and I could write a bad romance." Rachel in a singing tone voice.
While the girls and Rachel were distracted, Clare heard her phone going off. She picks it up and reads Lil Pest on it. Annoyed, she was reluctant to answer it.
"What do you want, Lil Bro"?
...
"SHE DID WHAT"!? Clare is shouting, which is heard outside the mall.
