Chapter 2

Outside Reefside..

Tommy Oliver groaned as he was hanging from his arms on a cave wall. He groaned as Zeltrax lifted his head up.

"Not so cocky now are you , just like the girl. She thought she could beat me all alone but failed."

Tommy glared at him. "Leave my rangers alone".

"Oh i am not talking about them, i am talking about the only other girl in your life, that's right, that sister of yours".

"Zeltrax i swear. She has nothing to do with this, your grudge is with me not her". Tommy looked at the clear stone in front of him that held the two gems. Zeltrax pushed it towards Tommy's belly. The black one began to glow.

"We'll see about that not open the rock or pay the price or should i say see your rangers meet their doom".

"Never, they know never to give into evil like you. My sister won't either". Tommy spat. He dropped his head as the extractor was turned back on.

Dino Lab..

"Hayley anything?" Kira asked as she watched Jaycee sleep.

"Yeah i think so, i got an energy reading on the black dino gem just north of here".

"I wish we could tell her the truth". Ethan spoke up.

"I know Ethan but thats for Tommy to do". Hayley replied. "Look you guys go bring him back"

"I'll go to". Jason spoke entering the lab. "Hayley make sure she stays here". Motioning to the sleeping girl. "I may not have powers anymore but Tommy is family and i made a vow years ago to always be there for them".

Hayley watched as the four of them left.

Cave..

Once the rangers arrived on their ATVS they noticed it was heavily guarded by drones.

"Oh Man Dr.O". Conner gasped seeing his teacher hanging on the wall. "Hey air heads, get away". Conner yelled as he and the others ran towards the entrance.

"Let him go!". Jason growled.

"Ready guys?"

"They nodded at Conner. "Dino Thunder Power Up! Ha!".

"Lets go save a teacher.".

Jason rolled on the ground pulling a drone down with him. "Man whatever happened to regular putties". He jumped back blocking a drones punch. "Still got it!" Jason did a scissor kick to get away from the three charging him.

"Jason go!" Ethan yelled noticing Jason had the chance to enter the cave. Jason ran in to come face to face with Zeltrax.

"And who might you be?"

"Your worse nightmare Zeltrax, now let my friend go or pay the price". Jason's hands turned into fists.

Zeltrax charged at him. Jason backflipped as lasers hit the ground in front of him. Zeltrax swung his axe but Jason caught it between his hands, he kicked Zeltrax back into a wall and as he did so the extractor shut off.

Tommy weakly lifted his head shook his head to clear his vision. "Jase?". He whispered as he saw who was fighting the enemy. "Jason behind you!". He managed. Jason turned to get a kick to his back from a drone.

"Dr Oliver!". Kira yelled running towards them. She slashed his chains. His knees gave out as she caught him. "We need to go!".

"Go i got to get something". He ordered them. Kira ran to help Ethan. Tommy used the strength he had to dive ofer the slap the stone was laying on.

"Jase go!". He bellowed as he grabbed Zeltrax and kicked him away.

Once outside they were cornered. "Tommy this is bad, really bad". Tommy looked down as the black gem began to glow bright and brighter. The stone started to break open. The black gem floated out into his hands.

"Aren't you to old for this Tommy?" Zeltrax taunted.

"There are two things you need to know about dino gems, one they choose you, and two they go well with dino moprhers". He flashed his wrist slamming the gem inside. "I may be old but i can still pull it off".

"Really? Black? Adam and Zack are going to kill you". Jason chuckled.

"Dino Thunder Power Up!". Tommy shoved the key into his morpher and his suit appeared. "You guys can handle the drones, no one goes after my family and gets away with it".

"Dr.O what about the auqa one?". Ethan asked.

"We'll deal with it later".

Tommy ran kicking and punching drones out of his way. "Zeltrax!".

"You think you can beat me alone, that pathetic weakling couldn't"

"Take that back!" Tommy growled as he kicked him in the chest. Tommy dove to the ground tripping him.

Zeltrax brought his arm up slashing Tommy in the chest sending him back. He landed on the ground with a thud. "Tommy!" Jason yelled. "No!".

Zeltrax charged his sword as it lit up blue. "This is your ending, then i will finish the rest of you off".

"NO!" They turned to see a figure running. She dove in front of the blast. Tommy could feel her body in front of his as she absorbed the blast that was meant for him.

"My job is done". Zeltrax spoke as he retreated.

Once the smoke cleared they ran over. "Oh god!" Kira cried.

There on the ground laid Jaycee on her back. Tommy still in morph holding her head. "Jay?". Jason fell to his knees next to her. "Jay please wake up". Tommy begged.

"Guys look" Ethan spoke as the aqua coloured dino gem began to glow in Tommy's hand. Tommy took his little sister's hand and placed the gem in it.

"Jay come on". He looked down as she let out a gasp. "That's it, your okay". Tommy blew out a breath behind his helmet.

"Man that hurt". She groaned. "Well now i have a black ranger to thank". Jason helped her to her feet. "I take it you're their friend". He just nodded. She looked down at the stone in her hand. "Here this must be yours". She handed it to him. Tommy smiled under his helmet taking the gem.

"Are you okay?"

"Yeah Conner i'm alright". Tommy looked between them. Confused at how they knew each other. "My brother would be proud of you if he was here".

"Jay if he was what would you tell him". Jason asked wrapping an arm around her. Tommy stayed behind her. He powered down and used his invisiblity. Jaycee swallowed and stepped forward as the others powered down.

"I would tell him his legacy still lives on. I would thank him for protecting me from all this". She wiped her tears. "But i will never get the chance because he's gone".

Jaycee Oliver closed her eyes when two arms appeared around her shoulders from behind. His cologne he always wore filling her nostrils. "No, you're not real, you can't be".

"JJ" She heard in her ear. "I will always protect you until the day i die". She gripped the arms arounds her shoulders. Tommy slowly turned his little sister around to face her. "I'm real"

"Tommy?". She looked up into his face. He wiped her tears. "Oh God!". She jumped into his arms as her legs wrapped around his waist. He went to his knees as she gripped him. The three teens watched the reunion with their own tears.

Once she let go they stood up. "I missed you so much".

"I know, and i'm sorry, lets go home and we can talk alright". She nodded at him. Tommy walked to the ATVS with his arm around his baby sister. Jay jumped on with Kira. Tommy got on with Ethan while Jason rode with Conner.

Once they got back to the lab. Hayley checked Tommy over giving him the okay. Jaycee went out to the backyard with the other rangers.

"I can't belive you man, you put that girl through hell this past year, now here you are alive and well. How could you do this to her?" Jason spat. "You have no idea what she went through this past year. How i had to watch her grieve and watch throw her life away".

"I did it because of this Jason.I stayed away so Mesogog wouldn't find her to get to me, get to the gems. I knew she would be taken care of!" He bellowed back. "You think i wanted this then your wrong. " Tommy walked over to him. "Jase i would have done it differently if i could you know that".

Jason sighed. "Then you need to talk to that girl, you need to mend that broken heart". Jason pulled him into a brotherly hug. "I missed you man".

Tommy walked out into the backyard. He laughed as the four teenagers were laughing. Conner had his sister over his shoulders spinning her around. "Conner put me down!"

Conner turned when he heard Tommy clear his throat. "Uh Oh big boy is in trouble." Jay giggled out as Conner put her down.

"Conner my sister is off limits".

"Yeah only Hunter can have me".

"What?"

"Nothing!" Jay covered her mouth. The teens gave her a hug leaving the siblings alone for the night.

Jay joined him on the swing on the back deck. "JJ, you have to know how sorry i am"

"I know"

"JJ i did this because i didn't want Mesogog to find you." She leaned into him. "All my life all i wanted to do was keep you safe, i couldn't break that promise to myself after the island was attacked".

"Tommy you know how much you mean to me. I do understand why you did what you did but please don't shut me out anymore" She spoke to him. "I need my brother back, i need my life back".

Tommy wrapped both his arms around her frame. "I promise you i will never leave you. JJ watching you block that shot i thought you were gone."

She hugged him tighter. "I would do it again".

"Next time you do you will have this". He handed her the silver bracelet. "JJ would you like to do the honor of fighting by my side against Mesogog and free Reefside?"

She got up quickly. "You mean that blue rock is a dino gem, its what makes you rangers?"

He nodded in confusion. "JJ? what is it?"

"No i will not do this, i can't".

"Hey talk to me".

"Tommy i was asked once before and said no, i am saying no again, i'm sorry". She brushed passed him crashing into Jason as she went inside.

"We need to talk" Jason informed him.

Note: So i decided to add a sprinkle of the once and always battle scene for when she blocked the shot and got her powers. Next chapter some of her past comes out! Also the gem is a pale aqua blue so her colour is the same blue as Tori. I wanted to change it up a bit!
