"Jason i'm waiting, what's going on with her?". Tommy asked of his best friend who had his eyes to the teenager walking away from the house.

Jason blew out a breath. "I shouldn't be the one telling you this in fear for her killing me but, uh,last year when she got the news she took a year off of school and went to Blue Bay Harbour. She made friends with the rangers there after she helped them with a monster. Sensei Watanabe sensed her love for the water. He offered to bring her love to life by helping her become a water ninja and a ranger"

"What happened?"

"She turned it down, she is a water ninja since her spirit animal is a seahorse, he trained her but as for ranger status she told them no. The blue ring she wears she earned from doing a trial to prove herself as a ninja. The only thing is the stone in the middle keeps her powers from being used".

Tommy rubbed his face as he saw his sister sitting in a tree. "Why did she refuse?"

"She was grieving you. When she came back she told me she couldn't be a ranger because you wouldn't be here to share it with. You wouldn't be here to see how strong she was. She got her ninja powers from a blessing Zordon gave her as a child. Sensei got her to unlock them since she is older".

Tommy remembered that day. Jay was learning how to swim but a tenga almost drowned her but she managed to fight it off on her own. That was the day she met him. Zordon told her when the tme came that power would surface when she was ready.

"Tommy she shut everyone out who tried to help her, not only did we lose you, we lost her. The smiles, the joking around, it just stopped. i mean we all know how close her and Adam are, she never even spoke to him." Jason explained. "As for being a ranger now, that i can't answer"

Tommy took in Jason's words. He had to fix this. Tommy patted Jason on the shoulder and walked towards her. Tommy looked up. He picked up an acorn and threw it at her to get her atention. "Don't make me come up there like i did the last time you were in a tree".

"Very funny, i'll have you know that wasn't my fault, Rocky was the one that kicked my soccer ball to high, so i had to get it". She grumbled looking down at him.

"Yeah then you were too scared to climb down on your own". He stated crossing his arms. "Now are you coming down or do i need to rescue you this time?"

Jay laughed. "Do what you want". She giggled as he huffed. Tommy took a couple of steps back, he ran running up the tree. He grabbed the huge branch and sat on it in front of her. She leaned back pulling her knees up in front of her. "I wish Jason's house had this view, he told you didn't he?"

Tommy nodded. "Don't kill him"

"Its okay he is safe, for now". She spoke.

"Jay what are you afraid of? i've never seen you afraid before".

"Tommy i'm afraid of you,i'm afraid that since i said no in Blue Bay i let them down and that saying no now wouldn't change the disappointment you would have now by letting you down"

Tommy looked at her like she was crazy. "Jay listen, there is nothing you can do that would make me disappointed in you. Don't let your past affect your future. I understand why you said no in Blue Bay, why say no now?"

"Remember when Zordon told me i would have a bright future ahead of me in the ranger world and that whatever came he would be a guiding light for me?" Tommy nodded at her. "Well i don't have that light anymore, ever since he was destroyed i don't even feel him anymore, i don't have him to share it with".

"Oh Jaycee come here". Jaycee hugged her brother. "We both know how much he cared for us, for you. He will always be here. He wouldn't be angry at you for saying no whether its in Blue Bay or here.I thnk he somehow knew that this is your time"

"You think so?"

"I know so, i do have to ask one more thing, why do you conceal your powers in your ring?"

Jay laughed. "I don't, i just told Jason that because if i didn't he would want his truck washed every single day and i am not in the mood for that".

"So what do you say, will you join me, this team?" He asked handing her the blue morpher.

"Alright". She put it on her left wrist and smiled. "I guess someone will have to keep an eye on you".

"That's my girl". He kissed her head. "Also don't tell Conner you play soccer because he will drive you insane to play with him".

Tommy jumped to the ground. He reached for her to jump. Jaycee winked. She jumped but turned into a water droplet, as she landed it burst soaking him. "Show off". He grumbled wiping the water out of his eyes.

As they walked back to the house Tommy led her to a room. "This can be yours if you want especially since Jase has to go back to Angel Grove for awhile".

"Sure i'd love to stay here". She told him with a smile. "You have no idea how much i missed you". Jay wrapped her arms around his waist. He wrapped his arms around his shoulders laying his chin on her head. "I love you big bro".

"I love you to". He pulled away. "Oh before i forget, what was that you said about Hunter?"

"Oh knock it off, you dated when you were my age". Tommy rolled his eyes. "I actually don't know what we are but i do know he is my best friend".

"Good". He turned and left the room as a pillow came his way. Jay walked out of her room to find Jason in the kitchen.

He wasn't expecting her to hug him. "Thank God i thought i was done for".

"No. Thanks Jase for telling him when i couldn't". She told him looking up at him. "I guess Zordon was right my time has come". She motioned to the bracelet on her wrist.

"You're going to be a great ranger Jay. He may not be here in person but is still in your heart, you know that".

"I know". Jason kissed her forehead. Tommy watched from the hallway. He smiled at how much Jason truly cared for his little sister even after all these years. "Safe drive to Angel Grove okay". He nodded. Jason waved to Tommy as he pulled out of the driveway.

"So what do you want to do?" Tommy asked from his kitchen.

Jay flopped on the couch. She yelled as she tore his pillow. "Oops".

"What did you do?".

"Nothing".

"Jaycee Oliver what did you do?"

"I might have torn your pillow". She held it up. She watched as her hand was a blade then it turned back to normal.

"Oh its your dino power".

"My what?"

"Dino power each gem gives you one, Conner has super speed, Kira has a ptera scream and Ethan can harden his skin. Now you can use your hands as blades. Your Zord is the Dimetro Zord which has a saw on it back, did i forget to mention that?"

"Uh Yeah!". She huffed throwing the pillow hitting him in the head. "Can we go to Hayley's?"

"Sure, thats usually our hangout".

"You hang?"

"Is it still so hard to believe that i still have a young heart?" He told her pushing her out the door.

"Yes it is". She replied getting into the jeep. He shook his head and pulled out. Once they arrived they went inside. Jay smiled seeing her three friends.

"Hey guys" She greeted.

"Hey you, what's up?" Conner asked as Jay sat inbetween him and Kira.

"I am coming to Kira's rescue from you guys". She spoke showing the new gem.

"Finally!" Kira exclaimed giving her a hug. Tommy walked over and handed Jay a smoothie.

"Yummy Thanks Hayley". She called out. Hayley nodded. "Excuse me Ethan but yelling at the screen won't make you beat that enemy any faster, i should know".

Ethan whipped around. "You play to?"

Jay laughed. "Ethan i have beaten that game a million times, i am a pro at Final Fantasy".

"Dr.O can we keep her?"

Tommy looked at him. "Yes you can, Jason is gone to Angel Grove so she is staying with me plus she has a gem now". Ethan gave her a high five.

"Do you like sports?" Conner asked. Tommy and Jay shared a glance. "What?"

"Conner let me tell you this as easy as possible, i do like sports, i have been playing soccer since i was five". Jay told him slowly.

"YES!" Conner Cheered. "Okay you're coming with me". Conner pulled her by the arm. "Bye DR.O!"

"Guys be careful please!" Tommy called as they left. "Why did she have to tell him that?".

Conner and Jay were on the way to the soccer field. "Man its so cool your here".

"Yeah its nice to hang around with friends again". She told him. Jay dribbled the ball on her knees. She kicked it over to Conner who did the same.

They looked up as a flash appeared above them. "What was that?" Jay asked.

"I don't know, come on lets go". They began to walk but cried when she ran into something.

"What the?" Conner wondered as he began to walk forwards but banged into what seemed like a brick wall. He reached his hand and the wall vibrated. "Jay we're trapped".

"Ahh rangers".. They turned to see Mesogog appear. "I thought i would introduce myself ti the new blue ranger, I am Lord Mesogog".

"Yeah you really think i care" Jay stated. "Your just as ugly and annoying as all he others before you"

"Well such a mouth no wonder your 's sister". He told her turning to face her.

"What do you want this time?" Conner asked pounding the wall.

"Your gems why else would i seal you in here"

"Seal us? what is this?" Jay asked glaring.

"You see red ranger you are sealed in this dome, your time will be limited. You see in 2 hours your air will run out, so you can give me the dino gems or suffer your fate, its your choice". He hissed as he left them alone.

"Jay! Conner!" They turned at Tommy's voice. "Sre you guys okay?

"We're okay for now". Conner anwsered. Ehan and Kira joined him. "We're in trouble here"

"We know we saw the video from the lab, look we are going to get you out of there".Kira assured them.

"You know Conner when you said you wanted to hang this wasn't what i had in mind" Jay joked slapping his shoulder.

"Jay now is not the time". Conner scolded.

"It reminds me of the time i got locked in my room with Adam for an hour".

"JJ" Tommy said in annoyance.

"What its true" She defended crossing her arms. She went and sat down in the grass.

"Okay how are you so calm with this?" Kira asked.

"I grew up with him", She replied pointing to her brother. Tommy crossed his arms.

"Look hang tight we will get you guys out". Jay could sense the fear in his voice. She got up and walked over so she was right in front of him.

"Don't worry i have all the faith you will" Tommy heard through their connection. He looked into her eyes.

"I know, don't worry Jay i promise i will get you both out" He told her.

He smiled it has been awhile since they did that. "Look we will be fine here go back to the lab and see if you can find the solution to this". Jay urged them. Tommy took one last look before he followed Kira and Ethan.

"Be careful Tommy". She spoke knowing he heard her.

Conner and Jay sat down in the middle of the circle in the grass. "Wanna play charades?"

Conner looked at her. "No". Conner fell onto his back and sighed.

"So tell me what was it like knowing the original rangers?"

Jay looked over at him propping herself up on her elbow. "Honestly, it was great even thought i was so young but they quuckly became my family to. But when i met Adam Park who became the new black ranger, he truly showed me what family meant, he became a brother to me like Tommy is, Conner don't get me wrong i loved the other rangers but Adam was different"

"What do you mean?"

"When I would confide in the other rangers they would always tell Tommy, with Adam he never did, if i had a secret he would keep it". Jay sighed as she laid back down. They jumped when the invisble wall rumbled. They watch in fright as it started to close in a little.

They shared a look of fear between them.
