Huntresses of Fairy Tail

"I cannot believe, we're going to Fairy Tail, instead of Phantom Lord!" Weiss exclaimed, showing her displeasure for the decision made, as they were making their way to Fiore in an Airship. "Phantom is superior to Fairy Tail, any day of the week."

"That's your opinion Weiss, but everyone knows Phantom Lord treat Faunus like slaves, and treat the rookie teams they take on, even worse, to the point where they wanna quit and return to Beacon." Blake stated.

"Plus, Fairy Tail is stronger and better then Phantom Lord." Yang said. "Even the media has said so."

"Then the media is wrong." Weiss scoffed.

"Don't be mad Weiss. We went with Fairy Tail over a majority vote." Ruby stated. "It was three to one, there was no way your suggestion for Phantom Lord would win with those odds."

"I still think we're making a mistake by going to that guild of ruffians." Weiss sighed. "An' to top it off, I wasn't made leader, this is such a disappointing let down."

"Would you get over that already?" Yang asked. "Look I know you're upset you didn't get what you want, but this isn't your home in Atlas. It's the real world, where not everything is gonna go the way you want it to."

"Whatever." Weiss tsked, before realizing something. "Question Yang. You're a Dragonslayer right?"

"Yeah?"

"Then how come you're not motion sick like Salamander?" Weiss asked.

"Because I'm a 5th Gen Dragonslayer, so I'm not susceptible to motion sickness like a 1st-3rd Gen." Yang stated.

"A what?" Weiss asked. "I've never heard of that."

"It's a long story, one we don't have time for right now." Ruby said, getting seated and buckling up. "The airship's landing."

"Once we land, do we know where we're going?" Blake asked, as she and Yang mimicked Ruby's actions.

"There should be someone from Fairy Tail to take us to the Guildhall, at least that's what Professor Goodwitch told me." Ruby stated, looking through the messages on her Scroll.

As the airship made it's landing, Team RWBY got up from their seats, and departed the airship. Grabbing their luggage, Ruby looked around for who they were supposed to meet, before she spotted someone holding up a cardboard sign with their team name on it.

The one to greet them was a slim young woman of below average height with long, white hair, curling slightly at the ends, with two bangs framing her face and reaching down to her rather impressive I-Cup chest. Her bangs were tied up in a short, upward ponytail obtained, exposing her forehead completely. Her eyes were large and blue, while she had a curvy, voluptuous body, with hips to match the size of her breasts. Her clothes consisted of a sleeveless, ankle-length maroon dress with a pleated skirt. The chest of her dress is adorned by a large, pink bow, and similarly colored trimmings framing the rather ample neckline, acting as straps, and circling around the waist. Her footwear consisted of high-heeled shoes that match her dress, while she accessorizes with a small chain necklace with a blue oval sapphire attached to it, and a bracelet made of white flowers circling her right wrist.

"Hi, are you Team RWBY?" The woman asked looking at them.

"OMG, it's Mirajane, from Sorcerer Weekly." Yang squealed.

"Pardon my sister, she's a big fan." Ruby chuckled. "Yes, we're Team RWBY, I'm Ruby Rose, and these are my Teammates. Weiss Schnee, Blake Belladonna, and my sister Yang Xiao Long."

"It's a pleasure to meet you. Obviously you already know who I am, but allow me to introduce myself properly." Mirajane smiled with a bow. "My name is Mirajane Strauss, welcome to Magnolia."

"Thank you for having us." Ruby smiled, giving a bow back.

"Now if you'll follow me, I'll take you right to Fairy Tail." Mira said happily. "Once there, the Master will put you all through a bit of a trial of combat, to see if you'd be worth the guilds time."

"At least Fairy Tail has something going right." Weiss said.

"Pardon her, she's just annoyed that three of us chose Fairy Tail, instead of Phantom Lord, like she wanted." Yang said. "She doesn't really think too highly of Fairy Tail I'm afraid."

"I see." Mira said. "That's quite alright. Now follow me."

As Team RWBY followed Mira through the town of Magnolia, Ruby, Blake, and Yang were amazed at how the town was flourishing and thriving.

"So, is it true that Magnolia was once home to Phantom Lords predecessor, Blue Skull?" Ruby asked.

"It was long before my time, back before First Master Mavis Vermillion even founded Fairy Tail in fact. But yes, from what I understand, Blue Skull held a tyrannical rule over Magnolia before it was liberated when Master Mavis and her companions got to town in search of a treasure from her home island, which has since been marked as Fairy Tail's sacred grounds." Mira explained.

"That's so cool." Yang smiled. "Another reason why I'm glad we chose Fairy Tail."

"Those are nothing but baseless rumors about Phantoms Predecessor." Weiss said.

"Just accept it Weiss. Phantom Lord isn't as great as you thought it was." Blake said. "Or does your dad have a business deal in the works with Phantoms Master, Jose?"

"My father happens to supply Phantom with shipments of Dust every month. Phantom Lord is a client of the SDC and one of our biggest at that." Weiss stated.

"There's your answer Blake." Yang sighed, before the five women stopped.

"We're here." Mira smiled. "Welcome to Fairy Tail."

The girls looked up, and three were in awe of the imposing building, which looked like it consisted of three floors and incorporated several architectonic styles. At first glance, it took on a shape reminiscent of a pagoda, with each floor being smaller than the one below it and a flag sitting on the latter's roof. The roofs also bore great resemblance to pagoda, consisting of extremely long, arched tiles lined up one after the other and possessing simple curved protrusions jutting upwards on the building's angles. On the highest roof, topping the summit of the building, sat a simple, round and pointed dome, which bore the Fairy Tail flag on its point. The roof below the one with the dome, the middle one, housed a large banner with Fairy Tail's symbol on it, held up by a pair of vertical poles. The building's large entrance seemed to be of Menagerie design, with its shape being reminiscent of that of the dome on the summit, and above it was the guild's name, topped by a protruding, stylized heart shape and flanked by a pair of carved fairies with tails. Stylized heart shapes were also visible on the frames of the numerous, large pentagonal windows located on each of the floors, with the top floor housing smaller, arched windows partially covered by banners.

"Whoa, this is so amazing." Ruby said, stars in her eyes.

"Come on in." Mira smiled, going to the doors and pushing them open.

Stepping into the Guildhall, all members of Team RWBY were shocked at what they saw. The inside was similar to a large lunch hall, and mainly consisted of wood, possessing a parquet floor and a mezzanine held up by wood beams overlooking it. Several long benches and the related tables stretched across its length with a bar, currently managed by someone who looked similar to Mirajane, but was younger, around their age, at the end. The request board was located beside the bar, being projected from a projector that looked too new and modern to have been built with the original design of the building.

"Wow, there are so many humans and Faunus here." Yang said with a smile.

"Yep. Here at Fairy Tail, we don't discriminate or judge someone based on their appearances." Mira explained. "We judge someone based on their actions, and their heart. Meaning all are welcome to be part of our Guild Family."

"Guild Family?" Blake asked.

"That's right. Strange I know, but that's basically what we are here. Just one big family that keeps growing, and growing." Mira smiled.

"I get it." Ruby smiled.

"Hey Mira, these the new recruits from Beacon?" The young woman who looked like Mira asked, coming up to them with a tray in her hand.

The young woman was a petite girl with short, white hair and blue eyes, matching Mirajane's. Her clothes consisted of a light-blue shoulderless shirt that acted as more of a tube top, with green pantie-shorts and martial arts slippers. Her guild mark was white and was located on her left thigh, completely visible thanks to her style of clothes.

"Yes they are." Mira smiled. "Girls, I'd like you to meet my little sister Lisanna."

"Nice to meet you all." Lisanna smiled.

"A pleasure to meet you as well." Yang said.

"This is actually perfect timing. Master Makarov just got back from his meeting about what happened in Clover, with the Council." Lisanna said.

"Oh dear, how did that go?" Mirajane asked.

"See for yourself." Lisanna laughed, pointing their attention to a short old man, sitting on the counter, looking quite happy.

"He seems to be in good spirits." Mira giggled.

"The Council agreed to not charge Fairy Tail with anything, since it was Eisenwald's doing, and the Lullaby Flute Demon was to blame."

"That's good." Mira said. "Follow me girls. It's time you met the Master."

Following Mira to the bar counter, Team RWBY stood in front of Fairy Tail's Master.

"Master Makarov, allow me to introduce you to Team RWBY." Mira smiled.

"Ah, welcome girls." Makarov said with a smile. "Now, as I understand it, you're all first years from Beacon Academy, is that right?"

"Yes sir, that's correct." Ruby smiled. "I'm Team Leader Ruby Rose."

"My, how very polite." Makarov said. "I hope you understand, we're gonna have to put you through a little initiation test before we can give you your guild marks."

"Wait, we get guild marks if we pass?" Yang asked.

"Oh more then that. You become actual members of the guild." Makarov chuckled. "Now I want you girls to remember, you won't have to fight too hard. The rules are simple, you can win by any three ways. Survive until the time runs out, get your opponent to yield, or incapacitate the, and you'll be able to join. You're free to use your weapons, and your Semblance, as well as your magic. Just don't do anything too drastic. Any questions?"

"Does anyone who wants to join have to go through a fight like this?" Weiss asked.

"No. We only reserve these initiation tests for those who are joining through Beacon, or any of the other four Huntsmen Academies." Makarov said.

"That's good to know at least." Blake said.

"However, if even one of you happens to fail, then your entire team will be refused entry to joining the guild, and will have to go back to Beacon, and wait to apply again next year, or apply to a different guild after you get back to the academy." Makarov stated. "Do you understand?"

"Yessir." Team RWBY said.

"Good. Now in the spirit of fairness, I always allow those going through this initiation battle, the chance to pick their own opponents." Makarov said, getting to his feet, before jumping to the balcony above.

"What's he doing?" Weiss asked.

"You'll see." Lisanna smiled.

"Listen up everyone." Makarov called to the members of his Guild. "We've got four new potential recruits for the guild, coming all the way from Beacon Academy. Line up so they may choose their opponents."

All members of Team RWBY looked at the rest of the guild as they began lining up, and allowing for the Huntresses in Training to see their options.

"First to pick is Team Leader, Ruby Rose." Makarov said.

"Uh, alright." Ruby said stepping up, before looking through the crowd of mages. "Okay so… can I know what some of your abilities are first?"

The first to step up was a big guy with tan skin and white hair, as well as a scar running down from his right eye.

"Elfman Strauss, second sibling of the Strauss Siblings. Beast Soul Takeover Magic. I can turn my right arm into the arm of any beast I've absorbed and bested in Battle." He said.

The next was a raven haired guy, without a shirt or pants.

"Grey Fullbuster. Ice Maker Magic." Grey said. "I can create any construct out of ice, from my mind, and use it to either attack my enemies, or defend against attacks coming at me."

"Dude, where the hell are your clothes?" Yang questioned, covering Ruby's eyes.

"Yang, I'm not a child anymore." Ruby grumped.

"Gah, not again." Grey said, hurriedly putting his clothes back on.

"Don't mind him. That's a habit he developed when training to be an ice mage." Mira said. "He ends up doing that on his own, without realizing it."

"Cana Alberona." A brunet young woman in a bikini top said. "I use card magic. Meaning I can use my cards to read the future, attack, or restrain my opponents."

"She's also the guilds second heaviest drinker." Lisanna said.

"Who's the first?" Blake inquired.

"Our God of War." Lisanna said.

'Raion.' Ruby thought as she remembered the whole reason why she and Yang chose Fairy Tail to begin with.

"Erza Scarlet." A redhead in armor stated, stepping up. "I use Reequip Magic. I can change out my armor, and weapons in battle any time that I need to."

"I wanna fight Erza." Ruby said excitedly, almost forgetting immediately what she'd just been thinking of.

"Next is Weiss Schnee." Makarov said, to which some Faunus seemed annoyed.

"I'd like to know a few more powers and abilities." Weiss said. 'My specialty is ice magic, so I'll have to go with a fire mage. If I pick the right opponent and lose to them, we'll be forced back to Beacon, and then can go to Phantom Lord like I wanted, and maybe Professor Ozpin will see his mistake, and make me team leader like he should have from the start. An' that blonde bimbo says I can't always have things my way.'

"I'm Natsu Dragneel." A salmon haired teen said, stepping up with a smirk. "I'm a fire Dragonslayer. My magic allows me the attributes of a dragon, while also allowing me to use fire for attacks, and defense. I can also consume fire to refill my magic almost instantly."

"You then." Weiss said, her choice causing Makarov to raise a brow.

"Blake Belladonna, please make your choice." Makarov said, deciding to ignore Weiss's decision.

"I'd like to fight Elfman." Blake said.

"Finally, Yang Xiao Long." Makarov said.

"I know who I want to fight." Yang said. "God of War. If you're here, step up."

"I apologize, but he's currently out on another job." Makarov said. "He picked three of them from the board, the moment he got back from handing Erigor in to the authorities."

"Damn it." Yang cursed. "Fine, I'll fight Grey Fullbuster instead."

"Great. Can't wait to fight." Grey smiled.

"Alright, now we just need you all to put down your Semblances, and/or Magic, and we'll be good to go." Mirajane smiled, as Lisanna gave them each a registration form to fill out. "It shouldn't take more then ten minutes."

After filling out the registration forms, Team RWBY and the rest of the guild were directed to the cliffside out back, overlooking the lake behind the Guildhall.

"Okay, first up is Ruby Rose versus Erza Scarlet." Makarov said as both fighters stepped up to the space for battle.

"Come at me with all you've got, and do not hesitate to strike me down." Erza stated, reequipping a sword into her hand.

"I'll do just that." Ruby smiled, bringing out Crescent Rose in its Death Scythe form.

"Oh, I can see why she wanted to fight Erza." Makarov said. "You have five minutes. If you can survive that long, you will be permitted to join Fairy Tail. Begin!"

Almost instantly, Erza went charging at Ruby, who only smirked, as she lunged forward, turning into a flurry of red rose petals, and flew around Erza, before climbing high into the air, and reverting back to her normal stated, with Crescent Rose in its rifle form, and fired at Erza, hitting the redhead in the back of the knee, before coming down with Crescent Rose changing back into its Death Scythe, and holding the blade under Erza's chin.

"Do you yield?" Ruby asked.

"I yield." Erza said with a laugh of amusement.

"Erza has conceded defeat. Ruby Rose wins the fight." Makarov said.

"No way, she managed to beat an S-Class?"

"But she's just a kid."

"She doesn't even look old enough to start attending Beacon."

"I must say, you're impressive for a first year at Beacon Academy." Erza smiled. "You must have trained hard wit be so skilled with a scythe."

"Well actually, my uncle was the one who taught me how to fight with a Scythe. His name's Qrow." Ruby said.

"Oh, so your Uncle is one of our S-Class Sorcerers eh?" Makarov asked. "He told me he had trained one of his nieces to fight like him. How old are you Ruby?"

"I'm fifteen. I jumped ahead a couple years, when Professor Ozpin saw me fight off a Dust Store robbery, on some security footage. Apparently it was enough to impress him, and earn me a full paid scholarship." Ruby said.

"My word, that's quite impressive. You're quite the protégé if you were able to get into Beacon two years early." Makarov praised. "But for one so young, it's still impressive you beat Erza in two hits."

"I honestly couldn't have beaten her in a head on fight, so while using my semblance, I searched for a weak spot, and took advantage of it. The rest you can pretty much guess on your own." Ruby smiled bashfully.

"Alright, next fighters. Weiss Schnee, and Natsu Dragneel, step up to fight." Makarov called as Erza and Ruby left the area.

'Alright Weiss. Play this right, and you'll be on your way to Phantom Lord in no time. Gotta put on a bit of a show, don't wanna make it obvious I'm throwing the fight.' Weiss thought as she brought out her rapier, and stepped up to the battle grounds with Natsu standing across from her.

"Begin." Makarov called out.

Natsu smirked, and sent himself flying at Weiss with fire coming out of his feet, and his fist was already lit in fire, as he charged at the heiress. Weiss saw this coming, and used a glyph to get out of the way, before letting out a breath attack, and hitting Natsu with it, resulting in the Flame Mage being encased in a block of black ice.

"Hey, what the hell did you do?" Natsu questioned. "I can't move."

"Natsu is unable to continue, Weiss is the winner." Makarov said.

"Was that a breath attack she used?"

"Was that Dragonslayer magic? I had no idea there were other elements of that magic."

"Oh for crying out loud. You can't even break free of the weakest breath attack I could produce with my Godslayer Magic?" Weiss questioned.

"Wait, hold on." Natsu said, his body enveloping in fire, causing the ice to weaken, before he broke free. "There we go. Just a little tougher then normal."

"Sorry Natsu, the match had already been called." Makarov said. "Up next is Blake Belladonna versus Elfman Strauss."

"Aw come on Gramps, I managed to free myself." Natsu complained.

"Natsu, the Master said you lost, so you lost." Erza said, pulling Natsu back. "Understand?"

"Yes Ma'am." Natsu said.

"Alright, step up you two." Makarov said, before Blake and Elfman stepped up. "Begin."

"Beast Arm: Black Bull!" Elfman chanted, as his arm took on a different form.

"Shadow Movement!" Blake said, merging into her own shadow, before racing over to Elfman, and taking him by surprise, before hogtying him.

"I can't move, hey what'd you do?" Elfman questioned. "This isn't very manly you know."

"Then it's a good thing I'm a woman." Blake smirked.

"Elfman is unable to continue. Blake Belladonna is the winner." Makarov said. "Yang Xiao Long, and Grey Fullbuster, please take your places."

Yang smirked as she stepped up, with Grey standing across from her.

"You may have the elemental advantage. But that doesn't mean I'm gonna go down so easily." Grey said.

"I know, but don't whine like a little bitch once I kick your ass." Yang smirked.

"You're starting to sound like a certain pyro I know." Grey said.

"Begin." Makarov called out.

"Purgatory Dragon: ROAR!" Yang chanted, sending the breath attack at Grey.

"Ice Make: SHIELD!" Grey called out, creating the barrier.

Unfortunately, the moment Yangs flames touched the ice, it began turning to steam, and Grey was knocked back as the flames hit him, and he stumbled over the cliff.

"YANG!" Ruby shouted. "What did you just do?"

"Oops, maybe I put a little too much into that." Yang said.

"You think?" Weiss questioned.

Everyone raced over to the ledge to see Grey simply floating in the water, a look of annoyance on his face.

"I concede defeat." Grey sighed.

"Grey concedes defeat. Yang Xiao Long is the winner." Makarov smiled. "Glad to see you're still alive my boy."

"I'll die of humiliation though. She burned away my clothes, I can't get out of the water with everyone watching me now." Grey tsked.

"Holy crap that was amazing. We got another Fire Dragonslayer in our ranks." Lisanna said.

"An' a Lightning Dragonslayer." Ruby said.

"An Ice Godslayer." Weiss sighed.

"Shadow Demonslayer." Blake added.

"An' my element specifically is hellfire. I'm a Purgatory Dragonslayer." Yang said.

"Well, it's good to have you in the guild." Makarov said. "Of course, if one of you had lost. I wasn't gonna send you home."

"Wait, you weren't?" Ruby asked.

"Not at all." Mira said. "We only tell that to Academy Recruits. It's a rational deception we use on Academy Recruits, to make sure they give it their all in the fights."

"So even if one of you had lost, you still would have been able to join Fairy Tail." Makarov said.

"So then… even if I had lost, we still would have joined?" Weiss asked.

"Yes Ms. Schnee, and despite the fact you tried throwing the fight, you still won, because you're unaware that Godslayer Magic, depending on the element, is superior to Dragonslayer Magic." Makarov said. "You see, Professor Ozpin is a friend of mine, and he'd informed me about your displeasure that our guild was chosen over Phantom Lord. I also knew your magics ahead of time thanks to him, and knew you planned on throwing the fight, when you chose Natsu, who not only had an elemental advantage over you, but also had a far larger amount of magical energy compared to yours. Don't worry, I'm sure you'll grow to like it here in Fairy Tail. In fact, you happen to be the second Godslayer to join our ranks."

"Who's the first?" Yang asked, glaring at Weiss, who only looked away with a huff.

"Our very own God of War." Makarov said. "His name's Raion El Dorado."

"Raion." Ruby said, looking to Yang.

"It is him."

"You already know him?" Makarov asked.

"You could say we've known him, a helluva lot longer then anyone here at Fairy Tail." Yang said.

"Oh, childhood friends are you?" Makarov inquired.

"It's a long story." Ruby said.

"Well, let's get the four of you all set up with your marks." Makarov said.

"Crimson red, on my upper arm please." Ruby said excitedly.

"I'll take mine in an icy blue, on my neck." Weiss sighed.

"Lavender violet on my hip." Blake said.

"Ooh, I want mine in gold on my thigh." Yang said.

"Mira?"

"I've got the guild stamp right here." Mira smiled, holding up the stamp that gave them the new members their marks.

Makarov gave off a chuckle at Mira's preparedness. "Welcome to Fairy Tail girl."

~Afterwards~

"This is so awesome." Ruby said, taking a picture of her mark with her Scroll. "I'm gonna show dad and Uncle Qrow."

"Already ahead of you." Yang smiled, sending the photo of her mark to her family. "I wonder if there are any tattoo shops I can go to?"

"The stamp can do any design you want, so long as you interchange the head with the everyday use stamp head." Mira said. "Just let me know what you're wanting and I'll have it done for you. I'll need a visual reference though."

"Awesome." Yang smiled, searching her pockets. "I know I had the design somewhere in my pockets."

"You can do that later Yang. We're in the middle of being shown around." Blake said.

"Right, you're right." Yang said.

"Alright, so let us explain a few things." Lisanna said. "If you're wanting to take a job, then all you gotta do is hold up your Scroll to the job or jobs you want, posted on the job board, and it'll register that you've taken it. But you can only do this once you've registered your Scrolls with our database, which should be simple enough for you to do."

"Lisanna's the Guild official IT Gal." Mira smiled. "I'm so proud of my little sister."

"Come on, cut it out Mira, you're embarrassing me." Lisanna smiled.

"One other thing, you're not allowed up on the second floor." Mira explained. "That's where we keep the job board for our S-Class jobs, and only S-Class Mages are allowed up there, after an incident that happened three years ago. The jobs posted up there, are still only paper, because we don't have the money to spend on a projector for only six job postings."

"It's only three now actually sis." Lisanna said. "The jobs Raion took were all S-Class."

"Oh dear, I hope he doesn't push himself too hard." Mira said. "But you four get the gist of it right?"

"Right. So I'm assuming we're not allowed on the third floor either?" Weiss asked.

"Correct, mainly because it's where the guild stores all its legal documents." Mira stated.

"Good to know." Ruby said.

"Alright, just register your Scrolls with the Guilds database, and you can either unwind at your dorms, or go out on your first job." Lisanna said. "Though to be fair, you'll need to have an experienced Guild Member accompany you on your first job. You can either go as a team, or go individually on your own."

"We'll take some time to unwind in our dorms." Ruby said.

"Great, I'll show you to Fairy Hills once you've all registered your Scrolls." Mira smiled.

~Fairy Hills~

"This is so amazing!" Ruby cheered, as she sat on the top bunk of the bunkbed. "I can't believe we're all members of Fairy Tail now."

"Despite one of us trying to sabotage our chances." Yang said.

"Oh, what's that supposed to mean?" Weiss questioned.

"You know exactly what that means Ice Queen." Yang exclaimed. "You were gonna throw the fight, then have us apply for Phantom Lord as soon as we got back to Beacon."

"You can't prove that." Weiss said, crossing her arms and turning away from Yang.

"You basically just admitted to it." Yang stated.

"You get the feeling they're gonna be like Grey and Natsu?" Ruby asked, having seen how those two men already act, as Weiss and Yang were acting the same way.

"Nah, Grey and Natsu are actual friends with a friendly rivalry going on for them. Weiss and Yang are just enemies." Blake said. "Thankfully we're split into different rooms beside one another based on partners, so we won't have to listen to all this through the night, unless they argue through the walls."

"Good point." Ruby said.

"C'mon Yang, we should start unpacking in our dorm." Blake said, dragging Yang out the door.

"Alright, but can you not drag me by my hood?" Yang asked.

"The nerve of her." Weiss scoffed, closing the door behind her.

"She does have a point though Weiss." Ruby said, hopping down from her bunk. "You were being selfish and self serving by trying to sabotage us. We're a team, and we need to be working together on this."

"I don't have to take this verbal abuse from a child." Weiss said. "I'm taking a bath."

"Communal baths are down stairs, like Mira showed us." Ruby stated. "Student dorms at Fairy Hills only have toilets and sinks."

"Damn it." Weiss huffed, grabbing her stuff for a bath, and marching out the door.

"Weiss, before you go, you wanna get some training in?" Ruby asked, popping out the door. "I'm sure working out some of that frustration, will make you feel better."

"Leave me alone Ruby." Weiss exclaimed.

~The Following Morning~

"Yes. I am victorious." Yang cheered, standing over Grey.

The Ice Mage had tried challenging Yang to a rematch, and the blonde happily accepted. Grey thought she was being over confident, but she wasn't, as she now stood over Grey again, as he laid somewhat motionless on a table.

"How are you beating me?" Grey questioned.

"Hellfire burns everything it touches. Including water." Yang said. "Plus, I'm still pretty peeved you stripped to your undies in front of Ruby yesterday."

"That's what's driving you to kicking my ass?" Grey questioned. "It's a habit I can't get rid of. Let it go already."

"Not gonna happen." Yang said.

Off on the other side of the Guildhall, Weiss was being chased after, by Ruby who was trying to bond with her partner and teammate. Currently, the two just got back from a job they did in town, and Weiss was not happy at all, with how Ruby handled her part. They both got the job done, but Weiss was annoyed that it took longer then she thought it should have, and when Ruby tried to compliment how good a job they did on their work, Weiss just scoffed and turned away, marching back to the Guildhall.

"Weiss, Weiss wait up." Ruby said. "What's going on? Why are you in such a funk, what's wrong with you?"

"What's wrong with me?" Weiss asked, sounding offended. "There is absolutely nothing wrong with me. What's wrong, is that you were appointed team leader, yet have done nothing to prove you've earned that position. I've trained harder then you, I've studied more then you, and my magic is superior to yours. Quite frankly, I deserve better then being the underling to an immature child who just gets what she wants, by sheer luck!"

Weiss left Ruby speechless, as those in the nearby vicinity heard Weiss's rant, and gave her the stink eye as she passed them, especially the Faunus. Fairy Tail was supposed to be a safe place, where stuff like this wasn't tolerated, but they were cutting Weiss some slack, because she was one of the newbies. However, that luck wouldn't last forever, and her penance would come sooner then expected.

"Ugh, I can't believe I got a bunch of idiots for teammates." Weiss scoffed, sitting at the bar counter, while Mira put a drink in front of her. "At least I'm able to drink in this country."

"Drink in moderation Weiss." Makarov said. "Moderation is key to avoiding being an alcoholic. Plus, it's too early in the morning to be drinking."

"I have to drown out my pain somehow." Weiss sighed.

"An' what pain would that be?" Makarov inquired.

"I wasn't able to be on Pyrrha's team, I wasn't appointed as Team Leader, and no offense, but I ended up going to my dream guilds rival." Weiss said.

"Why is it you think not being appointed team leader, is a pain?" Makarov asked.

"I'm Weiss Schnee. Heiress to the Schnee Dust Company. I can't afford to be someone else's errand lackey. Plus our team leader is a child, an immature brat who just got lucky, and do anything to earn her current position." Weiss said. "Ozpin made a mistake making that child leader. An' quite frankly, I honestly deserve better, because she has no idea, how hard I had to work just to get my father agree to send me to Beacon. If I was Team Leader, I wouldn't have left our guild to a majority vote, I would have just put in the request for Phantom Lord, and we'd already be there."

"Is that so?" Makarov asked, sounding unimpressed. "Weiss, I'm not sure if you're aware, but I consider all members of this guild to be my children, making everyone here siblings, in some sort of way."

"I wasn't aware of that actually." Weiss said.

"Well now you know."

"What exactly does this have to do with my situation?" Weiss asked.

"It's only natural for siblings to squabble, and fight over different reasons. Take you for example, you're the daughter of one of the wealthiest families in the Four Kingdoms of the continents that form Remnant. So it's natural you've gotten everything you've ever asked for, while never being told no, or scolded for being too greedy."

"That is absolutely not true." Weiss said, only for Makarov to raise a brow at her. "Well, not entirely true." She caved a bit.

"My point is, you're complaining and whining about not getting things the way you wanted them. When what you should be doing, is trying to be the best teammate you can be, rather then complaining and claiming how good a leader you can be. Ruby skipped a couple years yes, but doesn't that speak volumes for her talents, for her ability to fight as a Huntress, and grow as a leader, despite her age?" Makarov asked. "Take some time to reflect on your position in the team, and maybe learn what it means, to play a supporting role, rather then prepare for a leading role you'll never be cast for."

Weiss thought over Makarov's words, as the old man sipped his coffee, before Lisanna came running down the stairs from the second floor.

"I thought Non-S-Class mages weren't allowed on the second floor?" Weiss asked.

"Lisanna's the only exception to the rule, since she and Mira both retired from taking on jobs, and just work for the guild as barmaids now." Makarov said. "She's only allowed up there to update the job requests, and keep the second floor clean."

"Master, it's terrible." Lisanna said. "One of the three remaining S-Class quests is missing."

Makarov was in the middle of drinking his coffee, before he did a spit take, as those words registered in his mind.

"What?" Makarov questioned.

"Hahaha." The sound of someones voice echoed from the second floor as whoever was up there, laughed like a madman.

"Laxus, you knew about this?" Makarov asked angrily.

"Who's that?" Yang asked, coming to the bar and looking up at the blonde man, with the lightning bolt scar over his right eye.

"Laxus. He's the Masters Grandson, and another S-Class Mage." Mira said. "Trouble is, he's practically like a ghost, and is hardly ever seen here at the Guildhall."

"Can't say that I knew about this plan. But I did happen to see a blue cat flying in here and grabbed the job, before leaving with the flier in its mouth." Laxus stated smugly.

"Blue cat?" Blake asked.

"Happy, Natsu's friend he and Lisanna raised since he was just a kitten." Mira said.

"If Happy was the one who grabbed it, then it stands to reason Natsu is behind this little scheme and probably dragged Lucy into it." Elfman stated.

"This isn't good." Makarov said. "Well, which job was it?"

"For lifting the curse on, Galuna Island." Lisanna said.

"What?"

"Galuna Island?"

"Are they insane?"

"Even we know Galuna Island is bad news." Yang said. "No one goes there unless they're willing to let themselves be cursed and turned into Grimm."

"Laxus. Go and fetch them at once." Makarov ordered.

"Yeah right. I got better things to do Gramps." Laxus said. "An' besides, everybody in Fairy Tail's supposed to be able to take care of themselves, right?"

"I don't care how you feel about Natsu, there are lives on the line here." Makarov said.

"Not my problem." Laxus said.

"You little ingrate." Makarov growled. "The truth of the matter Laxus, is you are the only one here strong enough to bring them back by force."

"Sorry Master, but I'd have to disagree with you on that." Grey said.

As Makarov and Grey conversed on if the ice mage should go or not, Ruby came up to the bar counter, and looked to Mira.

"So, what started this whole thing with Natsu and the S-Class quest in the first place?" The reaper asked.

"It happened after I got back from dropping you four off at Fairy Hills." Mira sighed. "Our final S-Class Mage, Mystogan appeared in his usual way by putting us to sleep, then after he left Laxus made himself known to the rest of us, taunted Natsu, and dared him to come up to the second floor. I think Natsu believes if he can take on this quest and complete it, he'll be able to move up to S-Class, and avoid too bad of a punishment from Master."

"That doesn't make any sense. He's just gonna end up expelled from the guild." Weiss said.

"Natsu's a moron." Lisanna huffed.

"Lisanna, don't let your personal feelings get in the way of the issue here." Mira scolded. "But she's not wrong. Natsu's brain is a few flint stones short of a lighter. Not in the sense that he's insane, just in the sense that he's…"

"Stupid?" Blake asked.

"Pretty much." Mira sighed as Lisanna took a tray of food to a table.

"What's Lisanna's beef with Natsu anyway?" Yang asked. "He break her heart or something?"

"Basically, that's what it is." Mira stated. "Natsu and Lisanna had been dating for a couple years, before she broke it off six weeks ago, on their two year anniversary."

"Yikes." Ruby said.

"Not a good sign." Yang said. "Seems like it's strained their friendship quite a bit."

"It has, but this just might have sealed the deal." Mira said. "Lisanna's been putting up with his stupidity for seven years now, and she's past her limit."

"Alright Grey, bring them back here. But you are not to join them on this ill suited quest." Makarov said, his words grabbing their attentions. "Should you join them, rather then bring them back, I'll send Erza after you once she returns."

"I get it. I'll be back with the Pyro and Lucy." Grey said, heading for the door.

Once Grey was gone, Makarov turned to the main barmaid, with a serious expression on his face.

"Mira, call Raion." Makarov stated. "Tell him this is a Threat Level Namekian."

"Namekian?"

"It's a code system Raion came up with after he became S-Class last year." Mira said, pulling a Scroll out from her cleavage. "Namekian means a stolen S-Class Quest. It's also a race of pacifist aliens who live on a planet, far off in deep space."

"Uh… have you been hitting the booze while on the clock, Mira?" Yang asked. "Also, have you been taking some 'Magic Mushrooms'?"

"Mira's perfectly fine." Makarov said. "I thought you'd know since you're childhood friends of Raions, but I guess he kept this a secret from even you."

"What do you mean?" Ruby asked.

"Raion, is an alien." Makarov said. "He is a hybrid between two alien races, consisting of Kryptonian, and a Saiyan."

"Wait… my dad commissioned a song to be written about me, involving the words, Super Saiyan." Yang said.

"Your father was friends with Raion's parents, correct?" Makarov asked.

"It's how we knew one another. He's three years older then me, so Ruby and I considered him to be like our older brother, since that's how he acted, even though he was a scrawny monkey Faunus." Yang said.

"The man we saw in the Emerald forest, was anything but scrawny." Blake said.

"His tail is missing though. He had a monkey tail, but it's gone." Ruby said.

"For good reason." Makarov sighed. "It's not my place to tell his story, but when you see him next, ask him about his heritage, as the son of a Saiyan Warrior, and a Kryptonian Soldier."
