Chapter 5: Bowser's Team Scheming to Crash the Festival

(Castle Koopa)

Bowser, King K. Rool, King DeDeDe, Jessie, James, Meowth, Eggman, Orbot, Cubot, Boss Cass, and Medusa were in this large meeting room with a large table in the center of the room and everyone having a seat surrounding it. However, there were two seats left empty and Bowser was tapping his foot on the ground with his arms folded like he was getting impatient.

Bowser- Where are those two?! They should've been here over 45 minutes ago!

King DeDeDe- Maybe Ganondorf and Risky Boots got lost.

Medusa- I highly doubt that, DeDeDe.

Then Eggman turned to look at Jessie, James, and Meowth.

Eggman- By the way, shouldn't your boss, Giovanni, be here in that seat instead of you three?

James- Well…the boss got a big lead.

Meowth- Said he was tracking down a special Poke'mon called Mewtwo.

Jessie- So he sent us to see what Bowser wanted since he doesn't want to lose Mewtwo's trail.

After a few more minutes, Kamek opened the door with Ganondorf and Risky Boots behind him.

Ganondorf- We apologize for being tardy.

Risky Boots- Not a lot of places to park my pirate ship when the only sea around Dark Land is a sea of lava.

Bowser- For your information, I like pools of lave surrounding my castle! Gives it the right atmosphere for an epic final boss!

Ganondorf- Leaving the area in a state of decay and ruin fits the atmosphere just as mush.

Bowser- That's your opinion, Ganon. But now that you're finally here, take your seats and we can begin.

Ganondorf- Uh…ok…

Boss Cass- Alright, how about you tell us why you've summoned us all here. It is a long trip all the way here to Dark Land.

Bowser- I'm getting to that, Boss Cass. You see, there is an event happening in the Mushroom Kingdom, the Origami Festival.

King K. Rool- And why should we be interested in this?

Bowser- Don't you get it? It's the perfect opportunity to attack and kidnap Princess Peach. An attack will be the last thing anyone would be expecting and we can easily catch those mushroom heads by surprise. Besides, most of us like to strike during big events for a similar reason. Isn't that right, Eggman and DeDeDe?

Eggman- Ok…you got us on that one.

King DeDeDe- But still, why call all of us for this?

Medusa- Kidnapping Princess Peach just seems to benefit you and not us.

Bowser- Because the rest of Mario's team is there as well. Kamek has told me he's seen the two-tailed fox who always hangs around with the filthy blue rat in Toad Town as well as that crazy jester who used to work for Tabuu. So, if Mario has the members of his entire team in Toad Town for this Origami Festival, I might as well call in the members of my team. Although, I'm surprised Princess Peach is throwing another Origami Festival after what happened the last time.

Meowth- Something happened?

Bowser- Yeah, this twerp who called himself the Origami King barged right in and…

Just then, Bowser had a thought bubble of him folded into that origami sandwich fold he was trapped in for most of Paper Mario: The Origami King and how humiliating that was.

Bowser- On second thought, the past is the past. But anyway, we can use this opportunity to catch Mario off his guard, kidnap Princess Peach, and eliminate the heroes in one swoop. Besides, I do have a plan for our course of attack so we won't just be going in there blindly and still land a surprise for the heroes when they rush in to try and stop us.

(Tabuu's palace in Subspace)

As Bowser was talking to his team, Tabuu was secretly watching Bowser through a crystal ball.

Tabuu- Very good, Bowser! You might be slightly more useful to me than that retarded Koopa King, Slicor, was during Marco's time.

(Outskirts of Toad Town)

Dimentio, Vaati, and Poke'mon Hunter J were standing near the western gate to Toad Town, trying to think how to get into Smash City and get the Super Mario Brothers' Team to leave while Olly was still trapped in that small cage with a shock collar around him. Eventually, they heard the videophone ring again.

Vaati- Master Tabuu's calling again?

Poke'mon Hunter J- You're turn, Dimentio.

Dimentio- Fine…

Once Dimentio answered the videophone, Tabuu appeared on the screen.

Dimentio- Master Tabuu…we're still kind of…

Tabuu- Actually, I have the solution you just so need to this dilemma.

Dimentio- Wait…? You do…?

Tabuu- Indeed. In about two hours from now, Bowser will be arriving at Peach's castle in an attempt to kidnap her like he usually does when he visits the Mushroom Kingdom.

Dimentio- Ok, but how does this get us into Smash City and recapture Olivia?

Tabuu- Oh…how stupid are you, you braindead jester?! Don't you realize?! It's the distraction you need! Bowser is bringing all of the members of his team along with him since he knows the entire Super Mario Brothers' Team is here attending the Origami Festival. The entire Bowser's Team attacking the Mushroom Kingdom will drive the entire Super Mario Brothers' Team out of Smash City so they can face Bowser's team and attempt to stop them from kidnapping the princess. And best of all, you will be able to sneak into Smash City through the portals they'll use to exit Smash City before they close and no one will be able to notice you with all the chaos going on!

Vaati- Wow! That actually is a good idea!

Poke'mon Hunter J- You really do got brains after all, Tabuu.

Dimentio- Uh…I knew that! I was…just seeing if you all knew that!

Tabuu had an annoyed look on his face as he stared at Dimentio.

Tabuu- Fawful…

Then Fawful walked up to Tabuu before Tabuu extended his hand over to Fawful.

Tabuu- Doll…

Then Fawful hands Tabuu a strange looking rag doll that sort of resembled Dimentio. Tabuu held the doll in one hand while the other was holding Tabuu's thumb and index finger in a flicking position behind the back of the doll's head.

Dimentio- Uh…is that supposed to be some kind of rag doll of me…

Then Tabuu flicked the doll in the back of its head and Dimentio felt it.

Dimentio- OWCH!

Tabuu- Voodoo doll. I swear…I'm surrounded by idiots…

Then Tabuu hung up the call and the screen on the videophone went dark.

Dimentio- What was that for?!

Vaati- Well, that was very stupid of you to say.

Dimentio- Say, J, you got any ice type Poke'mon on you? I think I need some ice for this headache Tabuu gave me. I know he flicked me in the back of my head, but it feels more like he used a crowbar than his finger.
