Chapter 6: Unexpected Warning

(Smash City)

Kirby, Ty, and Shantae were leading the tour of Smash City for Adeleine, Ribbon, Bandana Dee, and Rick with Olivia joining them. Meanwhile, Mario, Luigi, Yoshi, Donkey Kong, Ash, Sonic, Pit, and Goh were still in the meeting room.

Yoshi- Nice we still allow tour of Smash City to Kirby's friends.

Mario- Yes, but we should still be focusing on finding Olly. Link, you mentioned that you heard about the Origami Empress in a dream?

Link- Correct. When Shantae and I were helping the Twilight Princess reclaim a stolen relic from Ganondorf and Risky Boots, I got knocked out during the fight only to see Wolf telling me to beware the Origami Empress. Unfortunately, that was all he had time to say before I woke up. But I'm guessing that this Origami Empress must've faced Marco Mario and his team 1,000 years ago.

Goh- Hey, if Tabuu can't revive this Origami Empress without both Olly and Olivia, why not just wait it out? We keep Olivia here until the constellation passes on and Tabuu will have no reason to keep Olly prisoner.

Ash- Goh…you don't know Tabuu well, do you?

Goh- What do you mean by that?

Mario- What Ash means is if Tabuu has no reason to keep Olly prisoner…Tabuu will then just dispose of Olly. And I don't mean he'll simply let him go.

Goh- Wait…you mean…

Ash- Yep. Probably turn Olly into confetti and drop what's left of him over Oliva.

Goh- Who…I knew he was evil, but Tabuu is colder than I thought.

Pit- Where have you been these past seven seasons?

Luigi- But if it's no too much trouble…can we please not mention that to Olivia?

Donkey Kong- What?!

Sonic- Why lie to Olivia about this?

Mario- Because I know Olivia and how she'll react. If Olivia finds out that Tabuu will just end Olly's game if he doesn't perform this ritual to revive the Empress in time, she'll be doing everything within her power to find a way out of Smash City and attempt to rescue Olly even if she has to attempt it singlehanded. Now, we don't want Tabuu to do that to Olly, we especially don't want Tabuu to have both Olly and Olivia, since Tabuu needs her as well. And I think keeping her in Smash City until this is over is the safest thing for her.

Sonic- You do have a point. Smash City is the safest place from Tabuu and his followers. But how are we going to locate Olly?

Donkey Kong- And without Oliva getting wise to what will become of Olly should we not rescue him in time?

Mario- Palutena, Viridi, is Kyrin available?

Palutena (telepathically to Mario)- He's not answering at the moment.

Viridi (telepathically to Mario)- He's busy helping his father with an important business meeting right now.

Mario- Just our luck.

Then Luigi reaches into pocket.

Luigi- Hang on…I think I might have something.

Then Luigi pulls out a blackish-purplish origami crane from his overalls.

Mario- Is that…

Luigi- Sure is. I kept it as a souvenir after Olivia folded the 1,000th origami crane to undo everything Olly did.

Link- What's so special about this origami crane?

Mario- That paper crane in Luigi's hand used to Olly's original body. After I defeated Olly, he begged Olivia to fold his body into the very last crane before he crumpled into a blank sheet of paper.

Luigi- I know it's now just a simple origami crane now, but it once contained Olly's soul. Perhaps there is still a trace of it for Palutena or Viridi to follow.

Viridi (telepathically to Luigi)- Hmm…not sure if that would work, but I will admit, that was a clever move on your part.

(With the tour group in Smash City)

Kirby, Ty, and Shantae were giving the tour of Smash City. They were acting like they were rushing a bit, but they were still providing a proper tour of the place. Even more surprising, this seemed to be taking Olivia's mind off of Olly and she was acting like she was enjoying herself. While they were moving down the hallway, Ribbon and Adeleine approached Olivia.

Ribbon- So, you're part of origami?

Olivia- Yes.

Adeleine- Interesting. I did hear the art of origami could bring life, but I didn't know origami could be capable of this.

Olivia- But you're an artist. Shouldn't you know about all forms of art?

Adeleine- Actually, my art involves my paintbrush, but I am interested in learning a new form of art. I did come to the Mushroom Kingdom because Kirby promised us a tour of Smash City, but I'm really looking forward to the Origami Festival and learning how to fold origami folds. But you seem to know more about origami than either Ribbon or me. Maybe during the festival, you can show us how to fold origami?

Olivia- Tell you what, I'll show you how to do my art of origami if you show me your art too.

Adeleine- Sure. Why not?

Olivia, Adeleine, and Ribbon smiled and Kirby seemed to notice.

Kirby- I think Olivia is calming down.

Ty- That's good, mate.

Rick- Hey mate, is there something wrong with that origami girl?

Shantae- Sort of. She was here asking us for help in rescuing her brother.

Bandana Dee- Guess that was why you forgot about us coming.

Kirby- Yeah, it kind of was. You see…

Then Kirby was cut off when he heard Olivia speak up.

Olivia- Hey! What's that in this room?

Kirby turned around and saw Olivia looking through a window to another room in Smash City. Kirby looked and saw what appeared to be a Poke'mon battle stadium.

Kirby- Oh that. It's an arena designed for Poke'mon battles.

Olivia- Poke'mon battles?

Shantae- You know how our friend, Ash Ketchum is a Poke'mon Trainer? Well, he requested this like the ones in the Poke'mon League stadiums so he could have a place to train with Poke'mon.

Olivia- But why is the arena so big? It looks as large as a football field.

Ty- You seen any of those Poke'mon battles, shela? Those battles can get pretty hectic. Ash once invited us to watch him compete in the Kalos Poke'mon League yeah, they need big spaces! The trickiest part was getting that energy barrier they set up to protect the audience from stray attacks working like how Ash described.

Olivia- But why have the Poke'mon battle each other? Aren't they worried about hurting each other?

Kirby- They just battle for sport. And Ash told us that all Poke'mon love to have battles by nature.

Shantae- But we should be moving on…

Olivia- Actually, I think I'd like to see this Poke'mon stadium you have for your friend, Ash.

Ribbon- You know, that doesn't sound like a bad idea.

Adeleine- I've never seen a Poke'mon battle tournament. It would be interesting to put ourselves in the places of those Poke'mon Trainers who compete in those battles that Ash like to do.

Kirby- Ok…guess there's no harm in making a quick detour.

(Back in the Smash City meeting room)

The origami crane Luigi had in his pocket was floating above the table and glowing with Palutena and Viridi's power. Eventually, it was placed back on the table.

Palutena (telepathically to Luigi)- Sorry, but no trace of King Olly's soul or power.

Luigi- Sorry guys. Guess it didn't work.

Pit- At least you did come up with a good idea. But still, how to find Olly or the followers of Tabuu that's got him.

Sonic- Hang on…you don't think Tabuu's followers already brought Olly back to Subspace?

Viridi (telepathically to Sonic)- That would be more trouble for us, but thankfully that wouldn't happen, Sonic. Since tonight is the night, Tabuu would want Olly to be right and ready and not placed away. Tabuu would think it would be a waste to get him out again and do all that again.

Palutena (telepathically to everyone)- But we are positive that Tabuu already knows you all have Olivia and are keeping her in Smash City. And that they'd be most likely trying to think of how to break into Smash City and get Olivia passed all of you heroes.

Donkey Kong- Break into Smash City? Even an idiot like me knows they'd be dead if they try that.

Goh- How come?

Link- Because, this is the one place that Tabuu's power can't work in. And they know that.

Ash- During the season five halfway story, a bunch of Tabuu's followers got into Smash City, but they were all in for a surprise when Tabuu's power deactivated on them. Preventing them from using Tabuu's power to boast their strength. And they know they can't take all of us on at once without Tabuu's power giving them an edge. Hell, even Tabuu himself can't take all of us at once.

Viridi (telepathically to Ash)- Ash, you do realize that when Tabuu turned into Perfect Tabuu…he did beat you all at once? And the only reason you and the rest of the Super Mario Brothers' Team were able to beat Tabuu was because Marco Mario and his team used that spell to momentarily leave the Overthere to assist you in fighting Perfect Tabuu?

Ash- I remember, Viridi. I also remember Marco impaled Tabuu's left palm with that sword and severely damaged both Tabuu's body and powers. Which is obviously the reason why Tabuu hasn't tried anything in so long.

Viridi (telepathically to Ash)- Guess you have been paying attention. But know this, that wound Marco Mario inflicted on Tabuu won't take another 1,000 years to recover like it did when the original Super Mario Brothers' Team defeated him. In fact, Tabuu will be fully recovered from that stab Marco made sooner than you're all expecting.

Mario- I'm well aware that Tabuu being quiet and leaving us along is only temporary. He has waited a 1,000 years just to get his revenge on Marco's decedent, which is me. And I know he will not just give up on his lust for revenge that easily.

Suddenly, Sonic's phone began to ring. When Sonic looked at his phone, he saw a notification that a portal to Smash City was opening up.

Sonic- Another visitor to Smash City?!

Luigi- Did we forget another tour group?

Mario- No. But this is still not registering as an intruder.

Then a portal opened up in the meeting room and out came Tails and Toad. However, Toad was looking like he was bleeding in the forehead as Tails placed one of Toad's arms over his shoulder.

Tails- Sonic, we got trouble!

Luigi- What happened to Toad?!

Tails- He was attacked! In fact, Toad Town is under attack!

Mario- By who?! Tabuu?!

Tails- No, not Tabuu. Not as bad as an attack from Tabuu, but still, this is bad.

Sonic- Then who's attacking?!

Tails- Bowser's Team! Bowser, Eggman, and the rest of those bad guys are here in the Mushroom Kingdom tearing the place apart. I tried to fight back, but I had to choose between helping Toad get to safety after he got hurt or stay and fight.

Sonic- You did the right thing, Tails. And don't worry. We'll handle this.

Mario- Out of all the days Bowser chose to attack! But I guess figuring out how to find Olly will have to wait. Luigi, hand me that microphone. I need to call Kirby, Ty, and Shantae back here.
