Chapter 13: Enter the Legion
Tabuu- If it isn't Mario. Long time no see!
Mario- Tabuu!
Origami Empress- So this is Marco's hair…yes…I can see the resemblance between him and Marco.
Luigi- Is that the Origami Empress?
Donkey Kong- But what happened to that stain that was said to be covering half of her face?
Tabuu- I removed it. I do want my new little friend to be comfortable with me. But I'm glad you all could come. Saves us the trouble of bringing the fight to the Mushroom Kingdom.
Dimentio- But how did they find this temple? It took me and Vaati weeks to find this place.
Poke'mon Hunter J- Huh…what's this…?
Then Poke'mon Hunter J saw the tracker that was placed on Olivia on the floor and picked it up.
Poke'mon Hunter J- A tracker…?
Ty- Should've checked your prisoners better, mates! Otherwise, you might've found the bug I stuck on Olivia before we handed her over to you!
Bowser- Hey…where is Olivia?
Yoshi- And Origami King?
Dimentio- Oh…about that…
Vaati- Their unfortunately left us make room for the Empress.
Origami Empress- Um…what do they mean by that? And who are Olly and Olivia, anyway?
Tabuu- Oh…it's not important. Besides…they agreed to provide the service they did for me to help with your revival.
Bowser- You mean…Olivia's…we're too late…
Charmy's voice- Espio! Vector!
Then Espio and Vector saw the cage Charmy, Adeleine, and Ribbon were locked in in the corner of the room.
Vector- Charmy!
Dimentio- Oh, them. Honestly, I had completely forgotten about them. But that reminds me…I owe that stupid bee payback for my eye!
Then Dimentio was about to shoot a magic attack, but a blue blur dashed right past him and past the cage and Dimentio saw the cage gone in a split second. When Dimentio turned to look back at where Mario and the others were and saw Sonic was now holding the cage and holding it in front of Donkey Kong.
Donkey Kong- Hold on! I'll get you out of this!
Then Donkey Kong pulled the door to the cage off like opening a soda can. After Charmy jumped out of the cage, Espio and Vector rushed up to him.
Espio- Thank goodness you're ok, Charmy!
Charmy- You two came all the way here to just for me?
Vector- Of course! You're part of Team Chaotix! And like the Super Mario Brothers' Team, we stick together!
But not long after Adeleine and Ribbon got out of the cage, DeDeDe suddenly grabbed hold of Adeleine and wrapped his arms tightly around her.
King DeDeDe- Adeleine! You don't know how happy I am that you're safe! I hope those bastards didn't hurt you!
Adeleine- It's good to see you too, DeDeDe. And don't worry, we're fine.
Ribbon- But I will admit, we did get a good laugh out of watching Tabuu's followers get hammered by those boobytraps along the way. Dimentio even got an 8-ball shot up his eye socket.
Dimentio- Do I really have to be reminded of that…
Vaati- Hang on a minute…how did you get past all the boobytraps Jayx place in this temple?
Marx- Easy, I know how Jayx thinks and could predict where every trap was. And I was correct every single time. Although, we would've gotten here sooner if someone wasn't so interested in trying to catch that Walking Wake in that one corridor!
Goh- Hey, I can't help but try and catch new Poke'mon I haven't gotten yet!
Marx- But anyway, they just followed my lead and they got through completely unscathed.
Meowth- I wouldn't say that, Marx…
Then Meowth shows the fur removed from his rear end after being caught by that beartrap earlier. As the Origami Empress looked at Mario, Mario pulled Marco's sword part way unsheathed. The Origami Empress didn't seem afraid, but Ribbon noticed that Tabuu was rubbing his bandaged hand while looking uneasy at the sight of it.
Ribbon (thinks)- Is Tabuu really afraid of that sword? If I didn't know any better, I'd say Tabuu is trembling a bit.
Origami Empress- You dare draw that blade against me?! I don't know if you've heard the story, but that sword was useless against me when I fought Marco. But I see you're just like him, relying on others to fight me all at once! So unfair and cowardice!
Tabuu- Then allow me to provide reinforcements. Or…a legion if you would…
Then Tabuu snapped his fingers and those artifacts that were placed around the pentagram were suddenly filled with Tabuu's power. The red case of colored pencils grew in size. The rubber band ball also grew, but it also shaped itself into what appeared to be humanoid. The yellow hole puncher also grew in size and began spinning like a top. The purple tape dispenser also grew in size. The green scissors in size, but was also floating above the ground. And the black stapler grew in size as well.
Tabuu- Allow me to introduce the Legion of Stationery, King Olly's loyal troops.
Colored Pencils- The Missile Maestro, Colored Pencils!
Rubber Band- The Elastic Entertainer, Rubber Band! OHHH-HO-HO-HO-HO-HO!
Hole Punch- The Disco Devil, Hole Punch! OW!
Tape- Da Shifty Sticker, Tape!
Scissors- The Dual-Bladed Duelist, Scissors!
Staples- (HOWLS)
Tabuu- And this one is the Fanged Fastener, Staples. Since he's more of a dog, he doesn't really talk. But anyway, since you have both Olly and Olivia's powers along with your own, you can control the Legion of Stationery like Olly could.
Origami Empress- Alright, listen here! Deal with Mario's friends and help me widdle down his team!
Colored Pencils- With pleasure! We Legion have a score to settle anyway!
Then Donkey Kong, Adeleine, Ribbon, and King DeDeDe stood in front of Colored Pencils. Sonic, Marx, Jessie, James, and Meowth stood in front of Rubber Band. Shantae, Goh, and Medusa stood in front of Hole Punch. Pit, Tails, and Boss Cass stood in front of Tape. Kirby, Espio, and Risky Boots stood in front of Scissors. Ash and his Poke'mon, Vector, and King K. Rool stood in front of Stables. Leaving Mario, Luigi, Yoshi, Link, Ty, Bandana Dee, Charmy, Bowser, Ganondorf, and Eggman to deal with the Origami Empress.
Tabuu- Well, I'll take my leave, but I'll still be watching from Subspace as our deal Empress takes you Mario Brothers apart! Ciao!
Then Tabuu closes the portal from Subspace.
