Here you go fellas, the next chapter, hope you enjoy it. I tried to make this from Dave's perspective while implementing the show's format, tell me how you like it or I can change it up. Enjoy!
Chapter 1: So, this is my team now?
It just happened in a flash of white light, I was inside some enclosure inside some underground facility where I was a test subject for a time-traveling experiment. Instead of following the intended five minutes into the past, I changed the date to two years ago, the day I joined Total Drama Pahkitew Island. I didn't know the exact time, so I just took a shot in the dark. This time travel is different from what I understand from movies; I'll be sent into my past self through my consciousness. If I assume, I'll be in the past but I retain my memories from the current time.
As Dave tried to get his bearings, all he could see was a dense, impenetrable blackness, as if his eyes were tightly shut. The only sound he could hear was a faint ringing in his ears, which left him feeling disoriented and confused. He wasn't sure what to make of this situation; had the time travel experiment gone wrong, or had he somehow managed to travel back in time to the very beginning of the show?
Despite his uncertainty, one thing was clear to Dave; he couldn't seem to open his eyes as if some strange force was keeping them shut. But gradually, the ringing noise began to subside, replaced by the deafening roar of a zeppelin's engine. Dave recognized the sound immediately, and his heart skipped a beat; could it be that he had succeeded in his mission?
Then, a voice broke through: "Want some gum?"
Dave's mind raced as he tried to place the voice. It sounded familiar, but he couldn't quite grasp it. And then, it hit him; it was Sky's voice! But what did that mean? Before he could process the implications, his eyes snapped open, and he gasped for breath like he just got out of the water.
He found himself sitting on top of a rickety wooden crate, surrounded by a group of people he recognized from the show. He scanned the area frantically, trying to make sense of what had just happened. To his immense relief, he could find no trace of any physical deformities or side effects from his time travel experience; he seemed to be in one piece.
Overwhelmed by the realization that he had managed to travel back in time to the first episode of Pahkitew Island, Dave was in disbelief. But there was no mistaking it; he was here and had a chance to rewrite his destiny.
"This is unreal!" he spoke out loud to himself. "I can't believe it worked!"
"What worked? Have you unearthed the mystical arts fellow wizard?" Leonard asked him while raising his wand.
Shoot, It's Leonard, and he thinks I just discovered some magic spell; he isn't too far off, I did just travel through time. I better stray him away from it before I get too suspicious.
"I-I mean...I'm just really excited to be on this show!" he forced a smile on himself, waving his arms in motion.
Soon as their conversation ended, Dave could hear Max spitting out his gum in disgust while gasping, "Cinnamon there is no need for you to be that spicy."
Still, Dave disbelieved of all of this, for he had trained his eyes on the many different contestants who he still recognized; Ella, who was singing and dancing along the way, Beardo beatboxing as usual, the twins bickering amongst each other, Topher eagerness to meet Chris, and the rest speaking amongst themselves. He also spotted Scarlett in the distance over-explaining to Sugar. It felt very unnerving to see that facade of hers once again.
"Hang on, this might get hairy!"
It was the Chef's voice from the cockpit of the Zeppelin that rattled the intercom, followed by violent turbulence from within that caused most contestants to panic in a frenzy. Not Dave, for he already knew the events that were to transpire.
After a few seconds of panicking the contestants later, Chris appeared at the exact time of the lightning strike. Dave knew it wasn't Chris in the flesh, just a hologram but Topher and Ella were standing between him in relief.
If I remember correctly, a holographic Chris appears out of nowhere to tell all of us to jump out of the zeppelin; only backpacks contain parachutes and the rest random stuff. If I'm going to be on the other team, I'll need a parachute!
Dave moved silently through the area, straying from the path that Chris would be taking, to observe each crate. His goal was to find a working parachute that he could grab at a moment's notice. He quickly lifted the lid of a nearby crate and began rummaging through its contents in search of the perfect parachute.
He knew that only seven working parachutes would be assigned to one team, and the rest would go to the other team. Unfortunately, he was one of the seven without a chute in the previous timeline. It didn't take long for him to find a parachute that felt genuine, but he waited for the right moment to grab it.
"...A couple of keeners. I'm sure a little pain and starvation will fix that. Let's get started." holographic Chris walked across the zeppelin as the contestants focused their attention on him. "This aircraft stinks, and is equipped with emergency exits. Here and at the end of the cabin. At said exits, you will find parachute packs. Only half of them contain actual parachutes. The other half contains surprises that will be utterly useless while falling from the sky."
"Well, hopefully, we won't need them," replied Sky from the side.
"Who knows, this season's full of surprises. Like this!" Chris pulled out a remote control and hit a red button.
*KABOOM*
Yep, that's the queue! Now time to play it out for the cameras
With swift action, Dave tossed the crate lid and grabbed a real parachute scrambling to put it on. The Zeppelin was starting to lose control, and everyone was scrambling to grab a pack and jump out. Dave quickly ran towards the exit and jumped out courageously. He remembered the time he only got a pack of feathers which made him land painfully. But since he now has a working parachute he had no problems landing. He fell for a few hundred feet before pulling the string and out came the parachute which reduced his vertical speed. Now, he wanted to act it out for the camera and the show just to play along with the show.
"Wow, guess I'm just lucky!" he smiled.
Even though I've traveled back to Total Drama, I still need to play along and act like I don't know what's going on. I can't let anyone know I'm a time traveler from the future.
As most contestants landed both soft and hard on the beach, Dave needed to figure out who got his bad parachute he got. Though he may have altered things a tad bit, it shouldn't be a problem. Dave landed softly on the sand as he observed the general area for the others to make their graceful or painful landing.
I wonder, who got my pack instead?
As some of the contestants landed on the beach, with softer landings than others, Dave scanned the area for the person who had received his bad parachute. He spotted Max crashing down from the trees, groaning in pain from the splinters shouting, "Curse these plucked chicken feathers!"
Looks like Max got my pack instead at least Scarlett won't be working with him now. Guess all is according to...
Sky slowly made her way to where Dave was detaching herself from her chute, noticing him from a distance, "That was a thrilling skydive, guess we're lucky to get real parachutes?" she sighed.
"Sky?" Dave said, caught off guard.
But Sky looked at him curiously, "How do you know my name?" she asked, a hint of suspicion in her voice.
"Oh, I just meant we just fell from the sky. Crazy, right?" sheepishly, Dave tried to save himself. "Y-your name's Sky? I guess it's a coincidence then?"
Sky seemed to buy his explanation and laughed it off. "Yeah, I guess it's just a coincidence. And your name?"
"It's Dave," he responded softly.
Wait! Sky got a parachute?! That means she's on my team. I guess changing one choice does make a difference. I wonder how badly.
The rest of the contestants with parachutes came down; Rodney, Topher, Scarlett, and another girl who Dave immediately recognized from her princess-suited attire and lovely voice singing to the birds around her saying, "That was an incredible time I've spent with you falling gracefully down feathered friends." as she unbuckled her parachute while soothing the birds.
The camera jump cuts to Jasmine slamming down onto the ground, her non-functioning parachute turns out to be a pile of junk, "What a dud this parachute was!" she growled.
He took a look around the area, Dave spotted Samey unbuckling her working shoot, but she was busy with her sister Amy grabbing onto her like glue as she was the unlucky twin that got no working shoot.
"Ugh! You're unbelievably lucky getting a parachute that works!" Amy stared at her sister.
"We were literally on an exploding zeppelin minutes ago!" cried Sammy, "I was about to die falling a thousand feet!"
A sour taste in his mouth formed inside Dave, he appeared to have drastically mixed up the teams from the previous timeline, but his main goal was clear; eliminate Scarlett before the merge. It was lucky to have seen her land with a real shoot in her possession. The rest of the contestants gathered together per the real Chris' orders, graciously giving an arrogant attitude to the camera in front of him. "Welcome to Pahkitew Island! On my right, were those that had actual parachutes; Scarlett, Topher, Rodney, Sky, Dave, Ella, and Samey."
"Um, it's Sammy..." Sammy raised her hand to signal Chris.
"Well, Amy says that everyone calls you Samey," interjected Chris replied to her.
"But my real name is..."
Chris was already annoyed at her attitude, "You're officially Samey! Anyways, your team will be Pimapotew Kinosewak, which is Cree for the 'Soaring Eagles'!"
*CONFESSIONALS*
Samey: This is so unfair! I'm not even called by my actual name?! At least me and Amy are on different teams, the less I see her the better!
Amy: Sucks for the other team to get Samey, she'll probably be booted first!
"No, sorry, wrong." Sky apologetically interrupted Chris to correct him, "That means The-"
Dave interrupted out of nowhere, "Floating Salmon!" he blurted out.
"Uh yeah, what he said..." shrugged Sky. "You know Cree too?"
"I know a little," answered Dave, smiling sheepishly.
"Huh, guess you're the Floating Salmon then?" Chris said scratching his head at his note. "And those without shoots; Shawn, Leonard, Max, Sugar, Beardo, Amy, and Jasmine. Your team is Waneyihtam Maskwak which means the 'Soaring Ea-'"
"The Confused Bears..." Sky butted into Chris' announcement again.
The sheer disappointment on Chris' face was visible as he tore his note page in half, "This is what you get for using a free online translator!" he scowled at Chef for his petty mistake and Chef wittingly replied, "My bad."
"Anywho, since there is no place for all to sleep tonight, we figure your first challenge will be to build your shelters."
It took no time before the rest of the contestants followed Chris, but Sugar and the rest of her team remained as she planted herself down on a rock. Dave already knew Beardo was going to make a fart noise and make her the culprit of the cheese cutter.
"Oh, that was not me." Sugar embarrassingly said, "A lady never farts. Unless it is her natural talent for a pageant and…"
A whistle came from Chris' mouth to get her attention, "Hey fart monster! I was talking! Move it on!"
The humble host himself climbed on top of a pile of junk to explain the challenge, "Each team must take supplies from the common area before they begin to build it. But these supplies are guarded by Chef! Armed with a powerful tennis ball blaster." he gave an overview of the challenge. As for Dave, he could sense a hint of deja vu standing from where he was; he knew what would transpire the moment Chris jumps to the ground before saying, "A glancing glow can sting."
The sound of a tennis ball came from the blaster as it was setting a course for Dave's face. The rest of the contestants didn't even notice it flying fast. But Dave instinctively leaned left, dodging the ball in the last second causing it to fly off course. Sky, Samey, and the rest of his team were shocked by his skill. "Now that was a close one!" he grinned.
Chris was peeved by Dave's surprising reflexes, "Oh good for you David..." He raised both of his hands between his mouth and shouted at Chef, "HEY! TRY HARDER NEXT TIME!"
"I'M TRYING MY BEST CAN'T YOU SEE?!" yelled Chef from the background.
"Ehem! A direct hit can take you off the ground." coughed Chris, waiting for Chef to shoot another tennis ball directly at Max hitting him directly on the stomach and into the ground in agony. "Thank you, Chef! Now, Team Maskwak will build their shelter further inland; Team Kinosewak, towards the beach. The best shelter according to me wins the challenge. Begin!"
Everyone was scrambling to get cover while Chef was trigger-happy at the blaster shooting tennis balls in rapid succession. Tension rose for Dave, not only did he mix up the teams, but he's re-living the show that destroyed his reputation. However, he isn't going to keep things the same despite these new changes. All he has to do is survive. Team Kinosewak was huddled behind some tree stumps glaring off at the common area. Dave was just right Between Rodney and Sky.
"First, we grab some wooden planks." spoke Rodney, as his beefy fingers pointed to the pile of wood, "We can probably find the tools to make a tree house; I can lift the heavy stuff."
"Sounds great big guy, any objections?" asked Sky, as the team looked at each other in a unanimous nod, "Great, Topher, Ella, and I can distract Chef while grabbing some useful stuff. Dave, Scarlett, and Samey, who will grab equipment for the tree-"
"-May I interject her for a moment?" Scarlett's soft tone expression gave Sky a glance at her, "The wheelbarrow is more important than the wood because "Because it's a class two lever and with the wheel acting as a fulcrum you can.
"Carry stuff with it, good idea!" interrupted Dave with an eccentric look on his face. "Rodney can operate the wheelbarrow, right?"
"Uh of course," the bulky farm boy nodded, "I need someone to place the supplies in."
"We can assist with that." answered Scarlett, "So to review our plan; Have Sky, Ella, and Topher distract Chef, Rodney operate the wheelbarrow, and me, Samey, and Dave load in the wood planks and other necessities."
Ella was beaming with a smile, "Oh wonderful! I'll grab the prettiest objects to decorate our tree house."
"Well, anything to get Chris' attention." smiled Topher, agreeing with the plan.
"Sounds good with me right, Dave?" Samey turned her head to see Dave nod silently. "Let's do it!"
Team Kinosewak delves straight in to put their plan into action, with Rodney charging to grab the wheelbarrow from its handles and Dave, Scarlett, and Sameyrummaging through the junk pile for wood and other necessary stuff as Sky, Topher, and Ella distract Chef. Meanwhile, Team Maskwak, they were stumped as to what to make or even what to grab. Huddling up in a blind spot for Chef, Jasmine came to speak with her team, "We can build a simple cabin, that's easy enough don'tcha think?"
"No! It must be an EVIL cabin!" shrieked Max, "We must plant booby traps around it so that nothing can go in or out of it?"
But Amy was nothing but disgusted by his suggestion, "Um Hello?! It's going to be our shelter, no use in planting booby traps!"
"Yeah, and those traps need to be zombie-proof first." Shawn was inside his world explaining the basics of zombie survival to his team, "Especially if they can come from four sides, we must grab some rope, sharp objects, and..."
When she had enough of Shawn's zombie conspiracies, she shook her head, "We don't need no booby traps zombie boy, just grab whatever we need for the cabin. Let's move!"
The two teams were busy grabbing the necessary supplies for their shelter, with Chef firing relentlessly at distracting contestants caught in his crossfire. Dave stole a glance at the other team and saw Leonard trying to cast a protection spell, only to be pelted with tennis balls. Jasmine and Shawn were dodging and grabbing items, while Max was busy gathering parts for an evil invention. Amy seemed unenthusiastic, putting in minimal effort, and Sugar was searching for items that caught her interest. Suddenly, Dave saw Beardo running in slow-motion, letting out a long scream.
It took no time before Shawn stared at Beardo's nonsense, "What are you doing walking in slow motion for!" he exclaimed loudly, before seeing him getting hit in the crotch area by a tennis ball.
Meanwhile, on his team, Topher climbed on top of the ledge Chris and Chef were at and tried getting his attention towards Ch rsi. "Hey, Chris! You're going to cut to commercial soon, right?"
"Um, why do you ask, Topher?" Chris asked.
"Well, it's always been a little dream of mine to watch you work! Live!" Topher explained excitedly.
Chris smiled, flattered. Chef rolled his eyes. "Well, who am I to deny the dreams of such an intelligent young man? Pardon me for a moment. Building supplies are being collected! Team Kinosewak is doing a very wood job! While Team Maskwak is looking stupid! You don't wanna miss any of this here! On Total… Drama… Pahkitew Island!"
"Bravo! Encore! Brilliant!" Topher gushed over Chris' hosting skills.
"I like this kid!"
Just a little while, Chris pushed off Topher into the junk pile as he continued to observe the action from above, he can noticed Ella with her encapsulating voice enchanted the surrounding birds. Chris was puzzled by her, asking, "Is she singing?"
*CONFESSIONALS*
Ella: I've been watching Total Drama since the beginning, but I was a huge fan of the Total Drama World Tour! I have all the songs memorized! And just because we don't have to sing anymore, doesn't mean we can't sing!
"I kinda like it, reminds me of that World Tour season," Chef was soothed by her melody that he stopped firing the blaster for a quick second, "Oh well, guess I'll target practice on the birds!"
Dave saw Sky's impressive gymnastic prowess in action. She was able to avoid all of Chef's tennis ball shots with a graceful cartwheel, followed by grabbing a wooden plank from the floor. With a swift swing of the plank, she whacked the tennis ball like a baseball and hit Chef directly in the eye. He let out a small smile reaching out to her, "Nice one Sky!"
"Thanks," she replied with a smile.
Seeing his mutual co-worker getting hit made Chris tear up in laughter, "Wowzer. That girl got some skill, huh? Anyways, It's building time!" he enthusiastically said, sounding off an airhorn in hand while turning to Chef, "You comin' or do you only wanna get paid for half the episode?"
Both teams gathered all their supplies and headed to their designated building spots with Team Kinosewak near the beach area and Maskwak further inland. Rodney, as quick as he could, carried the heaping piles of wood and other stuff with the wheelbarrow and dumped out the contents on the ground. Dave, Scarlett, and Samey on the other hand sorted each wooden plank and tools. In the meantime, Sky, Topher, and Ella assisted in building the tree house.
As for Team Maskwak, it was a little rough, but Jasmine managed to grab as much wood as she could and Shawn gathered some rope, metal bars, and cans of soup. The rest of the team gathered around the large pile and figured out what to do.
"Alright, we just need to work our butts off to build a nifty cabin!" said Jasmine, counting the heads of each team member and noticing someone missing, "Hang on? Where did Max go?"
Max suddenly appeared walking to the team appearing frightened, "I-I'm here..." he softly spoke. "Let's j-just...start building the cabin..."
*CONFESSIONALS*
Shawn: I have never seen someone so scared to their knees. Did Max just encounter a zombie?!
Max: Not a single word from anyone! That experience in the cave NEVER HAPPENED.
Roughly half an hour passed, and the tree house was coming together for Team Kinosewak, Rodney had glued pieces of wood to form a ladder and carried the large objects, the platform was set and secured by Dave and Samey working together placing the planks, Sky and Ella paired up to work on the roof, Topher on the sidelines carrying stuff around, Scarlett was around for extra help.
Scarlett came to Dave from behind tapping his shoulder before asking, "Excuse me, Dave, do you need any assistance securing the foundation?"
I know your little secret Scarlet, but I have a secret myself; I know every single challenge in this game. I may not have a plan to deal with you now, but later you'll see...for now I'll play along...
Dave slowly turned his head to Scarlett, before answering, "I'm good, thanks," his words were soft-spoken. "Me and Sammy got this in the bag."
Samey gave Dave a glance at him before she pointed out, "Hey, you called me by my actual name!".
Dave responded, "Well yeah, It isn't fair for your sister to call you whatever she wants," as he chuckled.
"You are so right, my sister can be a pain. Have you ever stayed in the same house as her?!" groaned Samey, rambling on about her bitter sister.
"Well, we can talk about it after we finish the tree house."
Just about an hour into the building phase of the challenge, Chris announced he was going to judge both teams' shelters. He flew with his jetpack over to the tree house built by Kinosewak to make some great remarks. "This is nice, and a smart move building it above ground level."
Rodney scratched his head, "What does that suppose to mean?" asked while still on ground level asked the host.
The ground began shaking in the area causing the 6 team members of Kinosewak to hang on tight. Chris was happily grinning at the time as he answered, "Here comes your answer!"
From a distance, a pack of moose came running full speed toward where Rodney was standing, but he quickly jumped out of the way as they zipped past by.
"This island is a little wilder than our last one hehe hehe!" chortled Chris, flying over to the other team.
In Team Maskwak's area, Jasmine placed the finishing touches on their so-called 'cabin' reaching on top of the roof and setting the last piece of roofing. With the rest of the team still confident in their work, she gave them one last motivational cheer, "Come on fellas! It may not look much, but it is still sturdy enough to sleep in."
"Were the booby traps necessary?!" Amy was a bit concerned about the cabin and its traps. "They're a total eyesore!"
However, Shawn was quick to defend his carfully placed traps. "Don't come crawling to me when the other team turns into zombies at night and feast on your brains!" he exclaimed to Amy.
With Chris flying toward the Maskwak's shelter, he can see the strange exterior and odd placements of different objects looking puzzled as he stayed in a hovering position, "Huh? I guess you were going for some creative liberty on this one? It doesn't look like it can hold for much longer, but let's test that!"
The pack of wild moose charged directly at Team Maskwak's cabin they recently constructed, they were all ducking for cover at the sight of the wild beasts. Just as the moose came into contact with the booby traps, it left some of them startled and quickly ran towards the other directions before leaving a trail of dust. A few irritating coughs later by team Maskwaks, the dust cleared out revealing their shelter still intact with a few minor scuffs and tears.
Observing the whole scene, Chris was left totally baffled, "Well-well-well, I'm shocked, your cabin's all in one piece! Granted, I couldn't tell the difference before and after the moose stampede." he chuckled.
Leonard shouted from the heavens, "Quell your anguish team, for I have cast an enchantment spell that protects our dwelling from any opposing forces!" as he waved his wand around.
"Ooo! We knew we should trust the wizard!" Sugar said as she was praising Lenoards's 'magic spells'.
Chris cringed up before saying, "Sure...anyways follow me and I'll announce the winner for today's challenge!"
As the camera jump cuts to the two teams sitting on a long log with Chris standing in between them, it took no time before Chris announced the winner, "I'll like to say it was a harsh decision, but, let's keep it real. Team Pimapotew Kinosewak wins the challenge!" he shouted raising a hand to the winning team.
Team Pimapotew Kinosewak were cheering amongst each other, giving eachother high fives and screaming in victory. It caused the other team to be utterly disbelievable by Chris' decision, especially Jasmine, "What gives! Our cabin survived the moose stampede!" she roared at Chris' face.
"Woah, steady girl!" begged Chris sarcastically continuing his explanation, "Sure, your cabin survived, but team Pimapotew Kinosewak's tree house was left flawless after the stampede. Heck, they didn't even reach it from that height!"
*CONFESSIONALS*
Shawn: Treehouse! Why haven't I thought of that?! Staying above ground is zombie survival 101!
Sugar: We may have lost today's challenge, but it's fine! Thank goodness we have a wizard on our team, those Kino-whats-its have no chance of winning.
"Alright, each winner of each challenge will be rewarded this season with a take-out order from our sponsoring restaurant. This week, it's the Petting Zoo Barbeque!" Chris enthusiastically said holding out two take-out bags and smiling at the camera, "'Petting Zoo Barbeque, someone else touched your dinner. We guarantee it!'"
"Shoot!" Sugar pouted, kicking off the ground from her seat, "I always wanted a pony..."
"Team Waneyihtam Maskwak, please go vote! One member of your team is heading home today." soon after Chris broke the bad news at team Maskwak, they all mumbled in unison.
With the defeated looks on team Maskwak lingered on as they slowly crept up to their cabin and out of the camera's frame, Dave was smiling along with his team for their glorious victory. As Chris dismissed them to their tree house, he was pondering on the events that happened.
It still baffles me that I traveled back in time, and won the first challenge. My team looks solid, I know each and everyone's background, and I'm still on the same team as Sky. I was a bit of a wimp back at the previous timeline. But no more, this new and improved Dave will come out on top!
As nighttime lingered, Team Maskwak sat near the bonfire in the elimination area, and each one of them had a nervous look on their face. Chris arrived to give them an overview of the elimination ceremony. "So...this is your first elimination ceremony, Team Maskwak. You'll be voting for the person you want out of your team and out of the game. I have only six marshmallows with me; now who will be receiving them?"
*CONFESSIONALS*
Amy: Can I vote for four people?
Grabbing a marshmallow with a pinch, Chris turned the tension up by tossing out each one to the five safe team members, "Those who are safe are; Jasmine, Amy, Sugar, and Shawn."
One by one, the four receiving their marshmallows were relieved, leaving Max, Shawn, and Beardo without a single one. Continuing the ceremony, Chris called out another name with hints of disbelief, "And Leonard...somehow?"
This left Max and Beardo both without a marshmallow, leaving them silent from their seats. Tension rose from the air from the two, and Chris continued the ceremony,
"Beardo, you did so little to help your team gather supplies and build the shelter," criticized Chris, as Beardo responded with a trumpet noise, "Same thing for you Max, you skidded off to some dark cave and got spooked by a bunch of bats."
"What?! How did you know those events occurred!" Max said growling from his seat.
"Um duh! Reality T.V. show? We got camera's on you most of the time!" answered Chris, giving Max an embarrassing look on his face, "Anyways, the last one receiving a marshmallow is...Max!"
Max caught the last marshmallow tossed by Chris, for he cheered with a devious look, "Haha! I have reigned supreme once again!"
Back at Team Kinosewak's tree house, the six waited restlessly on top of their shelter as one member of their team was about to be asked by Chris to attend the elimination ceremony.
An anxious look on Rodney's face while poking out the window, asking, "Where's Sky? It's getting dark outside,"
"She said something about Chris needing her for something," Topher answered him, only to be frustrated after, "So lucky for her to meet with Chris..."
Strange...I don't recall this ever happening, maybe because Sky was originally on team Maskwak.
"Is she in trouble? I don't recall her doing anything wrong." Dave spoke out, sitting on a rusty foldable chair.
Samey had a worried look on her, "Must be what she did to Chef...poor guy."
"Sorry guys, I'm back!" Sky's voice called out to them as she was entering inside, "Chris had me waiting to confirm yet another word in Cree. Beardo was the one who got eliminated, they shot him out of the island with a huge canon!"
Dave responded with a gasp, "Woah! Sucks for him."
Ah, so that's why Beardo got eliminated first? Oh well, there was nothing I could do for him; he was useless as a teammate. He always made noises with his voice - that's not going to get you very far.
"Goodie, you're back," said Topher. "Now it's time for me to hit the hay! I need to get some rest too."
We prepared for bed, dividing the tree house in half with a hung blanket; one side for the girls, and the other for the boys. Sammy kept warning us guys not to cross the line or do anything funny at night. I and the other two guys just nodded to that. I wonder how the next challenge will play out for this team.
