Chapter 15: Tabuu's Brand on The Legion
Colored Pencils fired more of his missiles at Donkey Kong, King DeDeDe, Adeleine, and Ribbon. Donkey Kong smacked some away with his fists while King DeDeDe used his mallet. However, they exploded the instant the hit the walls or floor and almost blew Donkey Kong and King DeDeDe off their feet.
King DeDeDe- Hey, I think he's out of pencils! His case is looking empty now! Not so tough now…
Before King DeDeDe could finish, Colored Pencils closed his case in front of DeDeDe's face like a beartrap and knocked him back a bit.
Colored Pencils- How do you like my BITING critique? And as for my lack of ammunition…
Then Colored Pencils closed his case again, shook a few times, and he had twelve colored pencils sticking out of his case again.
Colored Pencils- Reload complete! And believe me, there's plenty more where these came from!
Then Donkey Kong got behind Colored Pencils and closed the case again.
Colored Pencils- Nice try, you stupid ape! I'm not falling for that one again! Now get off of me!
Then Colored Pencil managed to throw Donkey Kong off of his lid and prepared to fire again. However, once Colored Pencil opened his lid, water was shot into his case and completely soaking all twelve of his colored pencils. Then Donkey Kong and DeDeDe saw ribbon holding a hose attached to a fire hydrant Adeleine drew.
Colored Pencils- You think a little bit of water will dowse my art? You'll have to do better than that!
Colored Pencils attempted to fire, but the colored pencil fizzled when Colored Pencil tried to launch it. And it just ended up falling to the ground like a dud explosive.
Colored Pencils- Sacre bleu! My missile…
Adeleine- The thing about colored pencils and regular pencils, asides from their color, is there texture. The substance that colors the led in a colored pencil doesn't work well when soaked in water. Yes, the colored pencil will survive and be just fine, but until the colored pencil dries, the colored oil in the colored pencil won't stick to whatever you try to use it on. In other words, I've just rendered your missiles useless until you can dry yourself off.
King DeDeDe- Nice one, Adeleine! You're a way better artist that that pencil case!
Colored Pencils- Hey! How dare you say she's better than me!
King DeDeDe- Oh believe me, she is.
Then King DeDeDe spun himself like a top as he moved in with his mallet and smacked Colored Pencils into the wall. When Colored Pencils hit the floor, stars were circling around him, leaving Colored Pencils completely stunned.
Colored Pencils- Uh…wha…my head…
Before Colored Pencils could snap out of it, Donkey Kong jumped inside of Colored Pencils case and began rapidly punching the inside of Colored Pencils similar to how Donkey Kong attacked a stunned foe in Donkey Kong Jungle Beat. After Donkey Kong knocked Colored Pencils into the wall again, King DeDeDe picked up Colored Pencils, spun him around a few times, and eventually threw Colored Pencils into the air. Adeleine drew a large trampoline which Donkey Kong used to bounce up into the air where Colored Pencils was. Then Donkey Kong winded up his fist before knocking Colored Pencils back to the ground with his Monkey Punch.
Ribbon- Did we get him?
Then a black aura was seen from the rubble Colored Pencils was buried under as Colored Pencils blew all the rubble off of him. Then where Olly's brand used to be on Colored Pencils was replaced with Tabuu's mark as it began to lite up and a dark aura surrounded Colored Pencils.
Colored Pencils- Now you've made me ****ing mad! You want to play dirty?! Then it's time for this artist to reveal his secret weapon! The ultimate art making tool to truly make my art shine!
Then Colored Pencils opened his case again and the colored pencils inside had all changed to the color black.
Colored Pencils- Huh…hey! What's the big idea here?! My colors are all gone! Jester!
Then Dimentio appeared next to Colored Pencils.
Dimentio- Is there a problem?
Colored Pencils- Yeah, there is! Why have all of my beautiful colored pencil missiles all turned black?!
Dimentio- I'd say it's a reaction to you using Master Tabuu's power through your body.
Colored Pencils- No! This will not do! I am an artist! And I need all twelve of my colors! No less!
Then Dimentio pulls out a smartphone and begins dialing.
Dimentio- Alright…alright…you drama queen…
Then Dimentio places the phone to his ear and talks to Tabuu.
Dimentio- Master Tabuu, Jean-Pierre seems a little upset that your power changed the colors of his exploding pencils. Think you can do something, because it seems he'd rather let Donkey Kong tear him apart than fight with his colors all darkened like that.
An annoyed sigh could be heard from Dimentio's phone as the sound of a finger snapping could also be heard. But then Colored Pencils' pencils all returned to their original colors.
Dimentio- Happy now?
Colored Pencils- Yes, very.
Dimentio- Good! Now get back to killing that dumbass monkey and his friends!
Then Dimentio went back to the sidelines with Vaati and Poke'mon Hunter J as Colored Pencils revealed his new loaded pencil set. Adeleine turned the wrench on the fire hydrant she drew earlier and Ribbon aimed the hose at Colored Pencils. However, a dark aura from Tabuu's power surrounded each of the colored pencils and just repelled the water.
Colored Pencils- Sorry, but it looks like the enhancements from Tabuu's power has made my brand-new set of colored pencils…WATERPROOF!
Then Colored Pencil fired several of his missiles and they moved much faster than before. Donkey Kong attempted to dodge the one fired at him, but then the missile turned around after Donkey Kong avoided it. When Donkey Kong realized the missile he dodged turned around like a heat seeker, it was too late and the colored pencil exploded when it hit him from behind. And it exploded with more force than before. King DeDeDe attempted to knock the missile fired at him back at Colored Pencils by swinging his mallet like a baseball bat. However, it exploded and blasted DeDeDe the moment his mallet came in contact with the colored pencil. Two were heading for Adeleine and Ribbon. Adeleine hastily drew a brick wall to attempt to block them, but the two colored pencil missiles shattered the brick wall like it was glass and without exploding yet. Ribbon quickly grabbed Adeleine and tried to fly out of the way, but the missiles were too fast and exploded before they could get any distance. When the smoke cleared, Donkey Kong, King DeDeDe, Adeleine, and Ribbon were lying on the ground with some rubble covering parts of their bodies and several open wounds on them from the explosions. Donkey Kong was struggling to get back while King DeDeDe looked at Adeleine at Ribbon lying next to him. They were still alive, but they were severely injured and knocked out from the explosion. Adeliene also had blood leaking from under her painter's hat.
King DeDeDe- Adeleine…NO! You bastard! I'm gonna kill you for that!
Colored Pencils- Impressive! My art is not even more of an explosion with Tabuu's power boosting mine! Now…time for the finishing touch to my…work of art!
Then Colored Pencils opened his case again and revealed one huge glowing rainbow-colored pencil that looked like it was even bigger than Colored Pencil himself.
Colored Pencils- Behold…my Rainbow Atomic! Ready…aim…FIRE!
Then Colored Pencils launched the large rainbow-colored pencil into the air and it began to fall back down like an atomic bomb dropping. King DeDeDe struggled to crawl towards Adeleine and Ribbon and managed to place both of them underneath his body, acting like he was trying to shield them from the attack. But then Donkey Kong managed to stand back up and managed to grab the Rainbow Atomic before it could hit them. Donkey Kong was acting like he was trying to throw it back at Colored Pencils, but this giant colored pencil was too strong even for Donkey Kong's strength. Then DeDeDe managed to get himself standing again and also grabbed the Rainbow Atomic.
King DeDeDe- Need a hand?
Donkey Kong- Thanks, DeDeDe.
King DeDeDe- Hey, anything to save Adeleine!
Then with the combined strength of Donkey Kong and King DeDeDe, they spun with the Rainbow Atomic a few times before managing to throw that giant rainbow missile right back at Colored Pencils.
Colored Pencils- What the…?! How is this pos…
Then the Rainbow Atomic was stuffed into Colored Pencils' mouth and he couldn't talk with his mouth full. And before he could do anything about it, the Rainbow Atomic exploded in Colored Pencils' mouth and completely vaporized him. When the smoke cleared, Donkey Kong and DeDeDe were blown against the wall with Donkey Kong holding Ribbon in his arms while DeDeDe was holding Adeleine in his. Both Donkey Kong and DeDeDe were shielding them from the explosion. When King DeDeDe checked Adeleine to see if she was ok. Adeleine's eyelids slowly fluttered open.
King DeDeDe- Adeleine!
Adeleine- Wha…
King DeDeDe imidiatly hugged Adeleine as tears formed from his eyes.
King DeDeDe- Thank the gods you're alright!
Adeleine- DeDeDe…you're hugging me…a little too tight…
King DeDeDe- Sorry!
Then Ribbon woke up and flew from Donkey Kong's paw and up to Adeleine.
Ribbon- That was one rough work of art.
Adeleine- I know. I honestly don't know how Kirby and the other heroes handle crazies with that dark god's power all the time.
Then Adeleine saw what was left of her easel.
Adeleine- Not again! That's the second easel and canvas today!
King DeDeDe- Not exactly…
Then King DeDeDe pulled out a canvas from under his robe.
King DeDeDe- I managed to grab this before that bomb went off. Here you go, Adeleine.
Donkey Kong- You showing affection for Adeleine is kind of cute, DeDeDe.
King DeDeDe- You making fun of me like Bowser was?!
Donkey Kong- No. In fact, I'm grateful for it. It was how we were able to send Colored Pencils' Rainbow Atomic right back at him.
Meanwhile, Rubber Band was still fighting against Sonic, Marx, Jessie, James, and Meowth. Rubber Band flung several of her bands from her body at Sonic and Marx. Luckily, Sonic used his speed to avoid them while Marx split himself in half to dodge one band shot at him. However, Jessie, James, and Meowth were standing behind Rubber Band and quickly attempted to attack while she was distracted.
Jessie- Seviper, poison tail!
James- And Mareanie, spike cannon!
Meowth- Plus fury swipes!
The three Poke'mon attacks struck Rubber Band from behind and several of her bands around her body fell to the floor.
Rubber Band- Ooh, your pitiful attacks have no effect on my bouncy body! Observe…
Then Rubber Band raised her hands in the air and attracted all of her fallen bands to return to her body. Soon after, her body was wrapped up in all of her rubber bands again.
Rubber Band- Walla! Good as new! After all, a glorious actress such as myself must make sure I can bounce back from anything that might try and hurt my performance. The fact that the blue hedgehog literally bounced right off of my bands when he tried to use his spin dash should've been proof enough that anything you try will bounce right off my bands. You three should stick to your role of blasting off again after you get beaten up! OHH-HO-HO-HO-HO-HO!
James- If physical attacks just bounce right off of you, then how about a projectile attack? Mareanie, sludge bomb!
Mareanie- Mareanie!
However, the sledge bomb didn't do anything to Rubber Band.
Rubber Band- I'm made of rubber. Poison attacks don't really that well against me…
Then Marx shot a freezing beam at Rubber Band from behind and froze her body in ice.
Marx- But when you freeze rubber at subzero temperature, it becomes brittle as glass. Sonic!
Sonic- Way ahead of you!
Then Sonic charged up for his spin dash and then rushed at Rubber Band while she was still frozen solid. Sonic shattered Rubber Band into several small pieces. However, the bands thawed out once Sonic shattered the ice and they quickly merged back together into Rubber Band.
Rubber Band- Not cool giving me the cold shoulder like that, jester!
Rubber Band shot a band at Marx, but Marx quickly sprouted his wings and flew up to avoid them.
Rubber Band- I've got you now!
Then Rubber Band fired a band at the ceiling which bounce off and struck Marx from above. The next thing Marx knew, he was tangled up in the rubber band and he began to fall back down to the ground. Sonic was about to charge for another spin dash when he noticed there was a looming shadow above him. Unfortunately for Sonic, Marx crashed down on him before Sonic could realize it.
Marx- Uh…sorry about that…
Sonic- Just get off of me!
Marx jumped off of Sonic as Sonic tried to look for a weak point on Rubber Band.
Sonic- There has to be a way we can get rid of all those rubber bands tied around her bod…wait…that's it!
Marx- What is?
Sonic- She's made up of several rubber bands tied together to make one form. There has to be knot keeping all of those bands together!
Marx- You mean like that large one on the top of her head?
Sonic- That must be it! Time to give her a stretch in the plot she'll never forget!
Then Sonic dashed off. Meanwhile, Rubber Band managed to strap Jessie, James, and Meowth to the floor with some of her bands.
Rubber Band- What a pathetic performance. But now it's time for you to make like a rocket and go blasting off again!
Rubber Band took on of her bands from her body and was aiming it at Team Rocket. But then Sonic dashed by and grabbed the bands on the top of Rubber Band's head.
Sonic- Not unless you go blasting off first!
Then Sonic dashed off again and was running up the wall while still holding onto those bands.
Rubber Band- HEY! OW! OW! OW! Stop pulling! This is no way to treat a star! Let go this instant!
Sonic- If you insist…
Once Sonic let go, those rubber bands flung right back into Rubber Band's head and suddenly caused all of her bands to fall apart, leaving just one giant yellow rubber band standing.
Rubber Band- My band! You've exposed my ensemble to a one-man band! You'll pay for this you blue rodent!
Rubber Band tried to flick herself at Sonic, but Sonic caught Rubber Band in his grip and pulled the rest of her body in.
Rubber Band- Hey! What are you doing?!
Sonic- Just getting you ready for the final curtain call in your grand performance!
Then Sonic held Rubber Band on one end with his thumb and held the other end in his other hand. Eventually, Sonic let go of Rubber Band and sent her flying. However, Rubber Band was flying towards where Ash, Vector, and King K. Rool were fighting Stables. And Rubber Band seemed to be flying towards Ho-Oh from behind and moving towards Ho-Oh's rear when suddenly…(SMACK)
Ho-Oh- OWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!
Sonic- Uh-oh…
Marx- Oh man…you are in so much trouble, Sonic!
Jessie- I would not want to be in your shoes when Ho-Oh finds out about this!
Sonic- If Ho-Oh asks, I'm not here!
Meanwhile, Hole Punch was still fighting against Shantae, Goh, and Medusa. Hole Punch as spinning like a top and rushing towards Shantae. Shantae whipped her hair at Hole Punch, but he backflipped out of the way and shot a few parts of the floor he hole punched earlier at Shantae. Shantae dodged by turning into Monkey Shantae and jumping out of the way. Then Shantae changed back to normal and shot a few fireballs at Hole Punch. However, Hole Punched danced to dodge them.
Shantae- Damn it! If only he would stand still for just one second…
Goh- Hang on…I think I got an idea!
Then Goh called out his Diglett from its poke'ball.
Diglett- Diglett!
Goh- Ok Diglett, use dig!
Then Diglett dug into the ground.
Medusa- What are you up to?
Goh- Let's just say a little payback for Hole Punch!
Hole Punch continued to dance with his disco moves, but suddenly the ground beneath him fell apart and he fell into a hole in the floor. When Hole Punch landed, he was upside-down and couldn't get back up.
Hole Punch- (COUGH)…huh…? What in the blazes…what just ruined my groove?!
Goh- Hey Disco Devil! How's it feel to be stuck in a hole in the ground for a change?
Diglett- Dig!
Cinderace- Cinde!
Goh- Cinderace, pyro ball! And Diglett, mud shot!
The two Poke'mon attacks struck Hole Punch and knocked him into the air.
Hole Punch- Woah! Woah! Woah!
Then Medusa grew into her giant form and punched Hole Punch into the wall. And before Hole Punch could pull himself together, Shantae quickly wrapped her hair around Hole Punch and began tossing him around like a ragdoll against the floor and walls over and over again. Eventually, Shantae threw Hole Punch into the ceiling and Hole Punch crashed back down to the floor shortly after.
Goh- Is it over?
Then the smoke surrounding Hole Punch was blown away by the dark aura surrounding Hole Punch after he activated Tabuu's power.
Hole Punch- Oh no, this dance off has just begun! And oh yeah baby! Tabuu's power is putting me in the groove big time! His energy is getting me so pumped up, this party's never gonna end! OW!
Medusa- I'm not liking the look of this…
Goh- Diglett, rock throw! And Cinderace, pyro ball!
Diglett- Diglett!
Cinderace- Cinde..race!
Cinderace and Diglett launched their attacks at Hole Punch, but Hole Punch stood on one of his corners before spinning like a top. However, Hole Punch suddenly turned into a black tornado with all that spinning and it repelled both of those Poke'mon moves. Then Hole Punch rammed into Cinderace and knocked it into the wall. Then Hole Punch jumped into the air and landed on Diglett. When Hole Punch got off of Diglett, Diglett appeared as flat as a pancake while having X's in place of its eyes.
Diglett (weakly)- Dig…
Goh- Diglett! Hold on! Diglett, return!
Goh returned Diglett to its poke'ball and pulled out another poke'ball.
Goh- Let's try Inteleon nex…
Suddenly, both Goh's right hand and Inteleon's poke'ball were grabbed by Hole Punch before Hole Punch punched another hole.
Goh- AAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!
Hole Punch- Ooop! Looks like your poke'ball has a hole in it!
When Hole Punch let go of Goh's hand, both the Goh's right palm and Inteleon's poke'ball had a hole in it. But before Goh could react, Inteleon knocked Goh into the wall.
Shantae- Goh!
Cinderace- Cinde!
Hole Punch- Groovy! I'm faster than ever! And that means you can't keep up with my dance moves now!
Shantae and Cinderace rushed up to Goh and Shantae helped Goh back up.
Shantae- Are you ok?!
Goh- My hand doesn't hurt with the hole punched through it, but my energy feels drained a bit. But I'm more concerned for Inteleon. Inteleon was in that poke'ball that Hole Punch also punched a hole through.
Palutena (telepathically to Goh- I can tell you that Inteleon is still alive, but I wouldn't call it out of its poke'ball until after we've gotten what Hole Punch took from you back into place.
Viridi (telepathically to Goh)- And I would also recommend you not trying to call out another Poke'mon other than your Cinderace, which you already have out, until then. Otherwise, that dancing yellow square might try to punch a hole in your other palm and another poke'ball as well.
Goh- Fine…I'll just try and make due with Cinderace…Cinderace, knock that part of my hand out of Hole Punch with double kick!
Cinderace- De…race!
Cinderace rushed at Hole Punch, but Hole Punch dashed out of sight, similar to Sonic's speed. Then Hole Punch appeared behind Cinderace.
Hole Punch- Can't touch this! OW!
Hole Punch dash out of sight again.
Goh- In that case, quick attack!
Then Cinderace dashed off and almost grazed Hole Punch with its attack. Hole Punch barely managing to dodge it.
Hole Punch- I know they say fast like a rabbit, but how did that rabbit Poke'mon pick up the speed so suddenly?
Then several stone pillars rose from the ground and boxed Hole Punch in place.
Medusa- There, I've stopped his dancing for now, but that won't hold him for long!
Shantae- Right!
Then Shantae turned into Spider Shantae and webbed herself to ceiling.
Hole Punch- You think this will stone my groove? Sorry lady, but you can't keep this Disco Devil from busting loose!
Then Hole Punch spun his body and blew all the stone pillars away. However, Spider Shantae positioned herself directly above Hole Punch. Before Hole Punch could attack Goh, Cinderace, or Medusa, Elephant Shantae landed on Hole Punch's handle and made his spit out the part of Goh's hand and Inteleon's poke'ball. Goh quickly grabbed it and got his hand and poke'ball back in place. But as Elephant Shantae continued to press her weight on Hole Punch, rainbow-colored wings began to sprout from Hole Punch's body.
Elephant Shantae- The Off-Wave?!
Hole Punch- Oh, you know this dance? Well, I did hear this is Tabuu's strongest move…and I figured why not give it a try myself?
Elephant Shantae changed back to regular Shantae as she quickly jumped off of Hole Punch as she, Goh, and Medusa attempted to take cover while Hole Punch was building up energy for the Off-Wave.
Hole Punch- OW!
Then Hole Punch began spinning his body as he unleashed the Off-Wave. The way the Off-Wave was launched, the energy waves began to swirl a bit and extend and wave all over the place, sort of making it harder to dodge and it did blast Shantae, Goh, Cinderace, and Medusa to the ground after it blasted the fallen column they were using as cover. However, sparks of energy were leaking from Hole Punch's body and his spinning was slowing down rapidly. It was almost as if Hole Punch was now in a great deal of pain.
Hole Punch- (painful choke)
Tabuu (telepathically to Hole Punch)- You disco dancing buffoon! You can't move when the Off-Wave is being launched! Don't you know why the body normally becomes immobile until the Off-Wave has it its target?! It's because an attack that powerful uses up a great deal of energy from the user and that's more pressure than most mortal can handle! So the body becomes so stiff to prevent that pressure from doing damage to that body! To me, my brother, and father, it would probably put us in the hospital…but to mortals, it can be fatal! You're just lucky that the only thing that happened to you was your voice got scratched!
Hole Punch- (painful choke)
Tabuu (telepathically to Hole Punch)- You can still dance at least. So outdance that genie and maybe I'll give you your voice back. But don't do that with the Off-Wave again! As cool as watching the Off-Wave swirl into patterns like that was, something worse might happen than losing your voice.
Hole Punch- (painful choke)
Hole Punch struggled to snap out of it, but he was eventually dancing again, despite the loss of his voice. And Tabuu's power was still flowing through his body. But once Hole Punch got back into the groove, he jumped into the air and attempted to land on Shantae, Goh, Cinderace, and Medusa. Luckily, they managed to catch Hole Punch, but they were struggling to hold Hole Punch over their head without his flattening them.
Shantae- This is been going on for long enough. I was hoping I wouldn't have to use this until after I have beaten this Disco Devil, but I better use the Eye of Merlin!
Then the Eye of Merlin began to glow from Shantae's tiara as a light blue aura surrounded Shantae's body. Hole Punch seemed very surprised, but his voice was still damaged, so he couldn't say how shocked he was. But with the Eye of Merlin powering Shantae's strength, she managed to throw Hole Punch off of them and into the wall.
Goh- Shantae, how did you do that?!
Cinderace- Cinderace!
Medusa- The Eye of Merlin your mother used to have when she wore that tiara.
Goh- Eye of Merlin?
Shantae- It's a magical stone my mother used to have when she was part of the original Super Mario Brothers' Team. It's this stone on my tiara. However, like how that power Ty got from the Bunyip Spirit World drains him when it wears off, so does the Eye of Merlin. So this magic boasting my genie powers will leave me completely exhausted once it stops.
Then Hole Punch dashed at Shantae with great speed. However, Shantae moved at equal speed as they each used their dance moves against one another. Then Goh began reaching through his pockets for two poke'balls.
Medusa- What are you doing?
Goh- I think it's time to give Shantae a "Legendary" hand! Found them!
Then Goh pulls out two poke'ball and holds them out.
Goh- Suicune, Regieleki! Come on out!
Then Goh called out his Suicune and Regieleki.
Suicune- Cune!
Regieleki- Regieleki!
Goh- Suicune, hydro pump! And Regieleki, zap cannon!
Suicune- Sui…CUNE!
Regieleki- Eleki!
Then both Suicune and Regieleki launched their attacks at Hole Punch while he was distracted with Shantae. When Hole Punch realized it, it was too late. Both Suicune's water attack and Regieleki's electrical attack gave Hole Punch the shock of his life…literally. Hole Punch was twitching and shaking in reaction to being electrocuted.
Goh- Hey Disco Devil, it's electric!
Viridi (telepathically to Goh)- Boogie woogie woogie!
While Hole Punch was stunned from the electric shock, Shantae took this opportunity to grab Hole Punch with her hair and fling him into the air. Then Shantae build up power from the Eye of Merlin and fired a large magic beam at Hole Punch while he was still in the air. This blast completely destroyed Hole Punch and left nothing left when the smoke cleared.
Shantae- (Sigh)…that was rough…I'll admit…the Disco Devil's dance moves were good enough to rival my own…
Meanwhile, Tape was still fighting Pit, Tails, and Boss Cass. Pit still had his wings taped together and Tails still had his tails stuck as well. However, they were still doing vey wall against Tape even with their ability to fly stuck up at the moment. Tape's purple dispenser was also looking a bit banged up with several cracks on all sides, yet Tape himself didn't seem hurt at all.
Pit- Damn it! How is it that with all the blows we've dealt to him, he doesn't seem hurt at all?
Palutena (telepathically to Pit)- That's because you're not really attacking him.
Tails- Huh…? Not really attacking him?
Pit- Could you explain, Lady Palutena?
Palutena (telepathically to Pit)- That tape dispenser he's in is what's really taking the hits from your attacks. It's not really part of his body, he's just wearing it like a suit of armor.
Viridi (telepathically to Pit)- But it's also not invincible. After all, Mario defeated that sticky gangster by attacking all of its sides and causing it to fall apart. And it looks like you've already got part of it cracked already.
Boss Cass- So if we can just hit every part of that dispenser in one strike, we can instantly shatter it!
Tails- But how can we do that?
Pit- Lady Palutena, the Daybreak!
Palutena (telepathically to Pit)- Are you sure you want to use up the Daybreak now, Pit?
Viridi (telepathically to Pit)- Yeah, you might need it later in this fanfiction.
Pit- I'm positive! But we just need to keep the Shifty Sticker distracted for a minute or two.
Tails- I can do that! I might not be able to fly, but I still have my spin dash.
Then Tails used his spin dash and knocked into the side of Tape to get his attention.
Tails- Bet you can't catch me!
Then Tails spin dashed away from Tape.
Tape- So da twerp thinks he can out fox me? We'll see bout dat!
Tape jumped into the air and tried to land on Tails, but Tails' spin dash allowed him to move fast enough.
Tails- Can't get me!
Tape- Da fox might have his wings stuck up, but he's still got some tricks left. But let's see yah get out of this sticky situation!
Then several strips of tape were launched from Tape's dispenser and Tails suddenly found his arms, legs, and torso strapped to the floor, leaving Tails completely immobilized.
Tape- Yah luck's down da tubes, fox boy! Time for to sleep wit' da fishes!
Tails- Actually, I was just the distraction.
Before Tape could ask what Tails meant, a huge laser was blasted from Tape's right and blasted him into the wall while blasting his dispenser to pieces. Then we see Pit and Boss Cass holding up a large laser cannon called the Daybreak. Though, it looked too large and heavy for one person to hold.
Pit- Told you that would work!
Boss Cass- Yikes! That seemed almost as powerful as Tabuu's Off-Wave!
Pit- Uh…sorry, but not even the Daybreak can compare to the Off-Wave. Also, it can only be fired once per day. It needs 24 hours to recharge.
Boss Cass- That's stupid…
Pit- At least it worked! Now we've beaten Tape and destroyed his dispenser.
Tails- Pit…I'm still stuck to the floor. Can you do something about this?
Pit- Oh…sure thing, Tails!
Pit and Boss Cass rushed to where Tails was, but then a large round object jumped out from the wall where Tape crashed into and landed between them and Tails.
Tape- EY! Who said we're done here?! You think I was iced by dat big ass laser of yours?! Think again, birdbrain!
Pit- How is it you're still standing? We destroyed your dispenser!
Tape- Dat dispenser was worth a fortune and tailor made! And you've got some noive bustin' it up like dat!
Viridi (telepathically to Tape)- Oh please! That piece of junk was so tacky!
Tape- You think I'm tacky? Ya think I'm some kind of pointy thingy here for your amusement? Fine! I got your tacky right here!
Then this large metal blades that are used for cutting tape appears and places itself on Tape's body.
Tape- If dat's how yah want it, I might as well dispense wit' the pleasantries! Time to seal da deal!
Then Tape began charging like Sonic and Tails do for a spin dash before Tape dashed like a wheel and knocked Pit and Boss Cass to the ground after running them over. Then Tape turned around and rolled like a wheel at Tails while he was still taped to the floor. Pit managed to get back up blocked with the Palutena's Bow in the two daggers form as it collided with the blades on Tape's body.
Tape- How cute. Da bird trying to save da fox from becoming roadkill. But all da little birdie's gonna be is staining da windshield!
Then Tape spun himself like a top and that caused Pit to be flung against the wall. With Pit knocked out of the way, Tape continued to roll towards Tails and ran over his legs. Tails was not free from the tape binding him to the floor, but Tails looked like he was now in terrible pain and was having trouble standing back up.
Viridi (telepathically to Tails)- Uh…Tails, are you feeling ok…?
Tails- Yeah…(GROAN)…I'm fine…
Palutena (telepathically to Tails)- No! You are not! I can tell by the way your legs are trembling as you struggle to keep your body standing! And if it weren't for that column, you're leaning your back against, you wouldn't be able to stand up right now!
Tails- I'm fine…I swear…(heavy panting)…
Tape- Wat yah think now dat I'm the one on da roll? Now to finish da job!
Tape rushed at Tails again, but a light arrow was fired at where Tape was about to roll over and Tape was launched into the air.
Tape- What da?!
Pit- I think you forgot I'm still in this fight!
Then Pit fired a few more light arrows at Tape and knocked him into the ceiling. When Tape landed, he turned his attention to Pit.
Tape- Dis is getting annoying! Time to have your wings clipped before yah sleep with da fishes!
Then Tape rolls towards Pit, but Pit managed to move out of the way. But when Tape turned around, he attempted to run over Pit again. However, Pit realized his feet were stuck to the floor.
Pit- What the…?!
Tape- Looks like youse in a sticky situation! I did more than just roll towards yah! I laid out my tape and trapped youse to the floor like dat little fox boy! Now to run da angel over!
Tails- Boss Cass…(groan)…you got to help me…
Boss Cass- What are you saying?
Tails- I can't move my legs properly…so I need you to throw me…
Boss Cass- Why not fly…oh right, your tails are still taped together.
Tails- Just do it…and throw me at Tape before he runs Pit over too!
Boss Cass- Fine, but this still feels wrong throwing an injured kid like this.
Then Boss Cass picked up Tails and Tails somehow managed to curl into his ball form before Boss Cass threw him like a dodge ball. Then Tails rammed Tape before he could roll Pit over. This knocked Tape away from Pit and Tails even managed to grab the tip of Tape's tape in between his tails.
Tails- I might have my tails stuck together, but I bet I can still spin them like a propeller!
Then Tails spun his tails and began pulling out all the tape from Tape's body.
Tape- EY! EY! EY! EY! Quit pullin'! QUIT PULLIN'! UNCLE! UNCLE!
Eventually, all of the tape was pulled out and Tape was left as an empty roll without any tape before he disappeared completely. Then all of the tape, including the ones binding Pit's wings and Tails' tails, vanished as well. However, Tails dropped to the floor again. Pit rushed over to help Tails up by placing Tails' arm over his shoulder.
Pit- You doing ok, Tails?
Palutena (telepathically to Pit)- No, Tails is not. I examined Tails while you continued the fight and I found out what's wrong with him. Apparently, Tape broke the bones in Tails' legs after he ran him over. Which is way Tails is in so much pain and is having so much trouble standing.
Viridi (telepathically to Tails)- You shouldn't be fighting! You need to be pulled out and brought to a doctor, ASAP!
Tails- But I…have to help…
Pit- I don't think Sonic would be happy seeing you in so much pain, Tails!
Meanwhile, Scissors was still fighting Stone Kirby, Espio, and Risky Boots. Risky Boots fired a shot from her pistol while Espio threw several shurikens, but Scissors cut the bullets and shurikens to pieces with one cut of his blades.
Risky Boots- Again?! How are we supposed to beat this guy if he keeps cutting everything we throw at him?!
Espio- And if we get touched by those blades, we'll die instantly!
Scissors was about to cut Espio and Risky Boots, but then Stone Kirby turned into a stone block and wedged himself between the blades as they were about to cut. Scissor wobbled away from Stone Kirby again and quickly shook the stone dust off his blades.
Scissors- That's cheating turning into a rock to block my blades like that!
Stone Kirby- It's also cheating to use an instant kill attack like that and being able to cut other's projectiles before they can hit you. I'm just making it more fair since you can't cut through stone.
Scissors- Maybe, but I believe I've figured out your weakness, Star Warrior. When you turn into a giant stone block, your body is protected from being cut…but you can't move your body at all!
Stone Kirby- I'll admit, I have to change out of my rock form in order to move, but my rock can still block all of your scissor cuts.
Scissors- One blade perhaps…
Then Scissors separated his blades.
Scissors (right blade)- But what about two?
Espio- What's going on here?
Viridi (telepathically to Espio)- It appears Scissors is using Tabuu's power to perform a new trick would be my guess.
Then the right blade spun vertically like a buzzsaw and was rushing at Stone Kirby. Stone Kirby turned into a stone block and stopped Scissors' right blade.
Scissors (right blade)- Impressive how you turned to stone so fast to stop me…however…
Then the left blade spun vertically like a buzzsaw as well. Only the left blade rushed at Espio and Risky Boots. Espio and Risky Boots managed to dodge it, although part of Risky's hair was cut when Scissor's left blade rushed past her.
Scissors (left blade)- You can't stop my other blade from attacking your friends!
Risky Boots- Hey Kirby! How about giving us a hand here?!
Stone Kirby- A bit…busy at the moment…
Scissors (left blade)- That Star Warrior can't come to your aid to block my cutting attacks now! As I said before, he can't move while turned to stone. And since he's holding my right blade already, he can't attempt to block my left blade attacking you without changing out of that stone form!
Scissors (right blade)- And with my right blade holding him down, Kirby will be cut up into ribbons the moment he does!
Stone Kirby- (Groan)…
Scissors (left blade)- Meaning my left blade is free to butcher you!
Then Scissors' left blade swung at Risky Boots and Espio again. Risky Boots dodged, but Espio camouflaged his body to make it seem like he vanished. While Scissors wondered where Espio went, Espio appeared behind Scissors left blade and tossed more shurikens at Scissors. This time, the blade struck Scissors' left blade and he didn't cut them in half and took damage. Realizing their projectiles could hit Scissors this time, Risky Boots pulled out her pistol and fired a bullet at Scissors' left blade and knocked him into the wall.
Espio- You might be able to hold Kirby down by separating your scissor blades, but you've apparently cut your strength in half. Sure, you can still cut us to shreds if you cut us, but without your other blade, you can't cut up our attacks like before.
Scissors (left blade)- Guess even this has a flaw, but I at the very least got that Star Warrior pinned down and…
Scissors (right blade)- Hey…what's going on?!
Stone Kirby's block form was starting to glow a bit. After a moment or two, Stone Kirby changed out of his stone block form and there was an explosion of rocks that knocked Scissors' right blade away from Stone Kirby.
Stone Kirby- Rock blast. The longer I remain in my rock form, the stronger the blast will be when I eventually change out of that form. Pelting you with several rocks.
Then both of Scissors' blades merged back into one and Scissors realized that the rocks have smashed part of his right blade in the middle part.
Scissors- MY BLADES! You ****ing living testicle! I'll kill you at least twice over for this! You know how hard this be to repair?!
Then Tabuu's mark appeared over where Olly's brand used to be as a black aura surrounded Scissors' body. Scissors rushed at Stone Kirby with greater speed, but Stone Kirby still managed to turn into a stone block before the blades could cut him. However, the blades exploded when they tried to cut Stone Kirby and both Stone Kirby and Scissors were knocked into the wall on the opposite sides of the temple. And Kirby lost his stone copy power and had a nasty cut wound underneath his mouth.
Kirby- Damn…I was still able to block his blades, but I felts the cut of those blades even in my stone form! OWCH!
Espio- Kirby, are you ok?
Kirby- I've been better…but I can still fight.
Then Scissors got back up and pointed his blades at Kirby.
Scissors- And so can I! And now you don't have your power to turn into a stone block anymore! I'm gonna enjoy this!
Kirby- Palutena, Viridi, hurry! I need Robobot!
Scissors rushed at Kirby, but then Scissors was grabbed by the blades by a giant robot that looked very similar to Kirby that had suddenly appeared out of nowhere. And Scissors' blades were inches from Kirby's body.
Viridi (telepathically to Kirby)- That was close! We were able to put Robobot in the battlefield just in time!
Scissors- What is this…?
Kirby- Meet Robobot, my robotic suit of armor. I'm sure those blades could still hurt or cut Robobot if you attacked him, but Robobot is made of metal and can touch your blades without feeling pain or getting cut.
Then Robobot tossed Scissors to the ground. Kirby got into Robobot before Scissors could get back up. Then Robobot quickly scanned Scissors and transformed into Cutter Robobot.
Risky Boots- That machine can copy your enemies' powers like you can after you inhale them?
Kirby- Robobot was actually made with data collected from Star Dream scanning my DNA.
Then Scissors rushed at Cutter Robobot, but Cutter Robobot extended its buzzsaw hand and blocked Scissors. But as Scissors kept trying to cut through the buzzsaw and while Cutter Robobot kept the buzzsaw hand spinning, both blades were literally destroying each other. Then Kirby had Cutter Robobot's other buzzsaw hand strike Scissors from underneath like an uppercut and both of Scissors' blades shattered. Leaving only the two handles and the lower half of both his blades.
Scissors- What have you…
The buzzsaw hands on Cutter Robobot also fell apart as Robobot changed back to its normal form. But then Robobot grabbed Scissors' handles in each hand before pulling Scissors in half. Scissors vanished shortly after Kirby and Robobot took him apart.
Kirby- Nice save there, Robobot!
Then Robobot gave Kirby a thumbs up in response.
Espio- Interesting, that robot armor of yours seems to be more alive than any of Eggman's robots and even appears to have the same heart as you, Kirby.
Kirby- I did say that earlier that Robobot was made by the Haltmann Works Company after Star Dream scanned my genetic code. But Robobot decided to fight along side me instead of assisting its creators in robotizing Popstar.
Meanwhile, Staples was still fighting Ash and his Poke'mon, King K. Rool, and Vector. Staples fired several of his red staples at Ash and Pikachu where were riding on the back of Ho-Oh. Luckily, Ho-Oh was able to dodge all of Staples' shots while keeping Ash and Pikachu on his back. But while Staples was focused on trying to shoot Ho-Oh down, King K. Rool got in close and punched Staples on the left side and knocked it part way across the room. Then Vector fell from above and landed both of his fists into Staples's lid and knocked out all of the red staples out of him.
Vector- I believe he's out of those staples again.
However, a batch of gold-colored staples appeared from above as Staples opened his lid and refilled his staple supply.
King K. Rool- Another batch of staples?
Vector- And these ones seem more dangerous than the red ones he was using earlier. We better watch ourselves.
Ho-Oh landed for a moment and began rubbing his rear with his wing.
Ash- You ok, Ho-Oh?
Ho-Oh- No, I'm not, Master Ash. Something got me right in between my tailfeathers earlier…and it still hurts…owie…
Pikachu moved one of Ho-Oh's tailfeathers and saw Ho-Oh's butt was glowing bright red and even looked like it was pulsing a bit.
Pikachu- Pi…(gasp)…
Ho-Oh- I don't even think it was one of that thing's staples that hit me in the rear end.
Ash- Hang on, Ho-Oh. Maybe this will help.
Then Ash pulls out a potion for healing Poke'mon and sprayed the sour spot on Ho-Oh's butt with it.
Ash- Any better?
Ho-Oh- A little bit, but I think it skin is still a bit raw.
Then Staples stood up and fired several staples at King K. Rool and Vector, pinning them to the ground like Pikachu was earlier.
Vector- Now we're stuck!
King K. Rool- And this gold staples have a stronger hold than those other staples did! I can't move my arm at all!
Then Staples was building up energy like he was getting ready for one huge attack.
Ash- Oh no! I gotta help them!
Viridi (telepathically to Ash)- You know Ash, I'm surprised you haven't called out Melmetal. Because doesn't that Poke'mon eat metal objects?
Ash- That's right! Shoot! Now I feel like an idiot for not thinking of that earlier. I could've saved Ho-Oh from being flung across the room in the last chapter if I had Melmetal eat that staple pinning Pikachu. Anyway…Melmetal!
Then Ash called out his Melmetal from its poke'ball and it appeared Staples and where Vector and King K. Rool were pinned to the floor. Staples rushed at Melmetal to try and bit it, but Staples hurt his teeth and lost several of his gold stables when his fangs touched Melmetal.
Melmetal- Metal.
Then Melmetal saw the large gold staples on the ground, quickly picked them up, and ate them.
Melmetal- Melmetal!
Ash- You're not done yet, Melmetal. Help get Vector and K. Rool unstuck.
Then Melmetal walked over to Vector and King K. Rool and ate the staples fastening them to the floor without harming either of them.
Staples- (GROWL)
Staples fired more staples at Melmetal, but they did nothing to the steel Poke'mon and Melmetal just ate them after they dropped to the floor.
Ash- Melmetal, double iron bash!
Then Melmetal stretched one of its arms and punched Staples in the mouth. A second later, Melmetal stretched its other arm and punched Staples again.
Ash- Pikachu, thunderbolt! And Ho-Oh, hyper beam!
Pikachu- Pika…CHUUUUUUUU!
Ho-Oh- As you command, Master Ash! Hyper beam!
Then both attacks hit Staples and knocked him into the wall.
King K. Rool- We could've used that metal eating thing earlier, you know.
Ash- Sorry, didn't occur to me until now.
But then Staples got back up and was looking more vigor than before.
Staples- (GROWL)
Pikachu- Pika…?
Vector- I don't like that crazy look in its…
Suddenly, Staples had a black aura surrounding his body as Tabuu's mark appeared where Olly's brand used to be.
Staples- (HOWL)
Then Staples opened his lid as several black-colored staples appeared above Staples. Not only were these staples black, but they had a black aura surrounding them as well.
Staples- (GROWL)
Staples fired several of those black staples at Melmetal. But instead of trying to eat them, Melmetal immediately ran away from the black staples before they could hit it.
Ash- Melmetal…? What's wrong now?
Palutena (telepathically to Ash)- Staples is now using Tabuu's power to strengthen his attacks. Those black staples are also covered in Tabuu's power. And even Melmetal knows that trying to eat those pieces of metal tainted with Tabuu's power will be very bad for his health.
Ash- Maybe I can still attack Staples and knock those black staples out of him like we did with the red and gold staples. Melmetal, double iron bash!
Melmetal launched its fist at Stables, but Staples caught and bit Melmetal's left arm this time. This was also hurting Melmetal now, as Tabuu's power was making Staples strong enough to bite through metal. But then Staples spun Melmetal over his head like a lasso before throwing Melmetal against the wall.
Ash- Melmetal!
Ash, Pikachu, and Ho-Oh took there eyes off of Staples for only a moment at Staples was already in the air and directly in front of them.
Ash- What the?!
Pikachu- Pika?!
Then Staples smacked Ash and Pikachu off of Ho-Oh's back and knocked Ho-Oh to the ground. Before Ash could get back up, both of his wrists were pinned to the floor with a black staple fired from Staples. Shortly after, both of Ash's ankles were fastened to the floor by those black staples as well. Then a black staple was placed around Pikachu's neck, pinning him to the floor like Ash was.
Vector- Ash! Hang on! We'll get you out of…
Before Vector could finish, Staples rushed up to him and King K. Rool and knocked them both to the ground before pinning them down with those black staples. Ash tried to move, but the black staples held him in place too firmly. To make things worse, Tabuu's power flowing through those black staples made Ash's skin feel like it was burning in a fire just by touching it. Staples was moving in on Ash and Pikachu, but before Staples could bite them, Ho-Oh grabbed Staples from behind in his feet claws.
Ho-Oh- You seemed to have forgotten about me, you stupid office tool!
Staples- (GROWL)
Then Ash noticed something about Staples' body as Ho-Oh continued to hold Staples down. Although, it looked like Ho-Oh wouldn't be able to hold Staples for much longer.
Ash- Ho-Oh, flip Staples over and strike at his back end where his top and bottom parts are connected!
Ho-Oh- Not sure why, but very well, Master Ash!
Then Ho-Oh managed to fly up while still holding onto Staples as he grabbed the bottom half in one claw and the top half in the other. Staples was still struggling with all of his might, but then Ho-Oh drove his beak the joints where the top and bottom halves are connected. This scrunched Staples' body in the wrong direction, like how Mario finished Staples off in Paper Mario: The Origami King.
Staples- (Whimper)…
Then Staples disintegrates in Ho-Oh's grip. This also causes all of the black staples pinning everyone to the floor to vanish as well. With the black staples gone, Ash, Pikachu, Vector, and King K. Rool got up from the floor. Even Melmetal got back up after being thrown against the wall. However, Ho-Oh then found something stuck to one of his tailfeathers.
Ho-Oh- Hang on…what's this here?
Ho-Oh grabbed it with his beak and saw it was a broken piece of a giant rubber band.
Ho-Oh- Strange…what would a rubber band of this size be doing…wait…
Then Ho-Oh turned that piece of the rubber band over and saw Tabuu's mark where Olly's brand should have been and realized it was actually the remains of Rubber Band.
Ho-Oh- SONIC!
