Chapter 16: From Empress to Dragon

Ultra Mario had sheathed Marco's sword and staring at the Origami Empress from a distance.

Ultra Mario- Ok…how am I going to handle this if Marco's sword won't be able to cut her at all?

Origami Empress- What's the matter, decedent of Marco? Afraid to make the first move?

Before Ultra Mario could answer, Charmy rushed right past Ultra Mario and attempted to strike with his stinger. However, the Origami Empress stopped Charmy's stinger by catching it in her hand.

Charmy- Hey…what's going…

Suddenly, Charmy's body was folded over and over until Charmy resembled an origami bee.

Origami Empress- I think you look much cuter like this, little bee.

Then an egg bomb exploded in the Origami Empress' face and made her drop Charmy. Before Charmy hit the floor, Yoshi's tongue wrapped around Charmy and pulled him in. Yoshi handed Charmy to Ganondorf and Ganondorf unfolded Charmy back to his normal self.

Ganondorf- Stupid kid! She has the same folding powers as the Origami King! Meaning she can fold your body into her puppet if she touches any part of you!

Bandana Dee- Give him a break! Charmy was held captive along with Adeleine and Ribbon when Kyrin was telling us about the Origami Empress a few chapters ago.

Then Eggman pulled out a laser gun and aimed at the Origami Empress.

Eggman- Then we'll just have to attack long distance.

Eggman fired a shot at the Empress, but she dodged and the laser destroyed a few columns in the room. The Origami Empress grabbed the rubble and turned them into origami shurikens and threw them at Ultra Mario and the others. They also managed to dodge, but Bandana Dee got behind the Origami Empress and attempted to thrust his spear while he thought she wasn't looking. However, the Origami Empress unfolded and refolded her body into what appeared to be a Vellumental form. She folded herself into the Fire Vellumental, but this form seemed more white than when Olly or Olivia take a Vellumental form. As soon at Bandana Dee's spear struck the flaming feathers, fire exploded into Bandana Dee's face and knocked him to the ground. Then Bandana Dee realized his spear was on fire as he panicked to put out the fire.

Bandana Dee- Fire! Put it out! Put it out! I need to save my spear!

Origami Empress- How about some water to put that out?

Then the Origami Empress unfolded herself again and refolded herself into the Water Vellumental form. And like before, it appeared more white. Then the Origami Empress blasted water at Bandana Dee that not only put out the fire surrounded Bandana Dee's spear, but also knocked Bandana Dee into a nearby column and knocked it on top of him, pinning Bandana Dee to the floor. But then a green fireball struck the Origami Empress and almost knocked her out of the air in her Water Vellumental form. When the Origami Empress looked down, she saw Fire Luigi shooting fireballs at her. The Origami Empress took in a deep beath as she prepared to spit more water, but Ty threw his Thunderangs in the suction and the Origami Empress accidently inhaled the Thunderangs as well. All that water building up inside of her reacted to the Thunderangs as they instantly electrocuted the Origami Empress. The Origami Empress changed out of the Water Vellumental form and also spat out Ty's Thunderangs.

Ty- Bullseye, shella!

Origami Empress- What just happened?! I lost my ability to turn into the Water Vellumental form!

Ultra Mario- If the Vellumental form takes too much damage and loses all of its health, you'll lose the ability to turn into that Vellumental for the rest of the fight. Just like when Olivia and Olly used the Vellumental forms.

Origami Empress- Then I should be more careful…ok…how about this?

Then the Origami Empress turned into the Fire Vellumental form and shot a stream of fire at them. Ganondorf used his magic to create a barrier to block the fire. But while the Origami Empress was distracted, Link fired an ice arrow and managed to freeze the Origami Empress in her Fire Vellumental form. Several of her flaming feathers were surrounding the area, but Link, Bandana Dee, and Charmy knocked the flaming feathers at the Origami Empress with Link's sword spin, Bandana Dee's spear, and Charmy's stinger. When all of the flaming feathers collided into her, the Origami Empress was no longer frozen, but she lost the Fire Vellumental form like she did with the Water Vellumental form. The Origami Empress folded herself into the Ice Vellumental form as she fired a beam of ice at Link, Bandana Dee, and Charmy. They managed to dodge, but Bowser blasted her with a stream of fire from his flame breath.

Bowser- That ice polar bear ain't gonna do you much good against me!

Origami Empress- I can see Tabuu was right. You really do have just as big and annoying of a mouth as Slicor Koopa did.

The Origami Empress fired another beam of ice and Bowser blocked with his flame breath and that created smoke everywhere when the fire and ice collided. Then Ultra Mario and Fire Luigi jumped up and above smoke cloud as they combined their fireball shot and created one swirling white and green fireball that blasted the Origami Empress from above and knocked her out of the Ice Vellumental form. But then the Origami Empress folded her body into the Earth Vellumental form and created several stone pillars to rise from the ground to blow the smoke away. However, Ultra Mario, Fire Luigi, Yoshi, Link, Ty, Bandana Dee, Charmy, Bowser, Ganondorf, and Eggman were nowhere to be seen. But before she could do anything, Ultra Mario had suddenly grabbed hold of her tail. Then Ultra Mario spun the Origami Empress similar to how he spins Bowser in Super Mario 64 before tossing the Origami Empress into the air.

Ultra Mario- So long there, Empress!

After the Origami Empress was thrown into the air while she was still in the Earth Vellumental form, Donkey Kong rushed in and used his Monkey Punch to knocked her back to the ground. When the Origami Empress lifted her head back up, she saw Kirby and Robobot right in front of her.

Kirby- POYO!

Then Robobot launched both of its fists at the Origami Empress and knocked her to the wall.

Pikachu- Pika…CHUUUUUUUU!

Then Pikachu's thunderbolt and Ho-Oh's sacred fire struck the Origami Empress and stunned her. Then a blue blur dashed right past her over and over until a blue tornado seemed to have formed around her and lifted the Origami Empress into the air. After she was blown into the air, the Origami Empress saw Sonic as he stopped running around her to make that tornado. But then several light arrows fired from Pit's Palutena's Bow pelted the Origami Empress in the face. And finally, Shantae's hair wrapped around the Origami Empress before slamming her back down to the ground.

Ultra Mario- You guys are back?

Sonic- Hope we didn't miss too much of the fun.

The Origami Empress lost the Earth Vellumental as well as she changed back to her normal form.

Origami Empress- But how?! What happened to the Legion of Stationery?!

Pit- Wasn't easy, but we took care of them.

Then Pit noticed Tails was trying to fly up to Sonic, but struggling just to move.

Pit- Hey! I thought I told you you need to stay out of this fight, Tails! You're in no shape to continue!

Sonic- What's wrong with Tails?!

Pit- During our fight with Tape, Tails broke the bones in his legs and Lady Palutena is saying that him trying to push through his injuries like that is causing Tails terrible pain.

Tails- I'm fine…really…

Sonic- I agree with Pit! You should be resting instead of being on the battlefield.

Origami Empress- This isn't fair! I'm heavily outnumbered…just like when I fought Marco and his group!

Tabuu (telepathically to the Origami Empress)- Yes…that is a problem. But I have just the thing to help even the odd. I was hoping the Legion would do a better job, but I guess I'll have to take matters into my own hands.

Then Tabuu's mark appeared on the Origami Empress and her body began to unfold. Eventually, her body was refolded into a giant origami dragon, similar to how Hooktail, Gloomtail, and Bonetail looked. She was all pure white in her new dragon form, but for some strange reason, there was a large purple heart shaped pattern fight on her chest.

Tabuu (telepathically to the Origami Empress)- I've decided to add my own power to the mix, my Empress! And believe me, it doesn't matter how badly you're outnumbered! Because with my power, anything times zero will always equal zero! HAHAHAHAHAHA….huh…no! I was not referring to you, Zero!

Vaati- Now she's an origami dragon? This just keeps getting weirder and weirder.

Poke'mon Hunter J- Can't get any weirder than those boobytraps that nearly killed us earlier, but how much longer is Tabuu gonna force us to stay on the sidelines? I want to get into the action too!

Dimentio- Might be best if we wait for him to tell us it's time to resume the fight. We don't want to get him mad…again…

Origami Empress Dragon- Such power…I think I now understand why everyone in the Mushroom Kingdom feared you 1,000 years ago, Tabuu.

Tabuu (telepathically to the Origami Empress Dragon)- Oh…believe me…you have no idea what my power is truly capable of…and what it can do to you…

Then Dimentio, Vaati, and Poke'mon Hunter J used their sample of Tabuu's power to see what Tabuu's power was really doing to the Origami Empress' body.

Dimentio- Clever and devious, Master Tabuu. Making your true claim without her knowing.

Vaati- And while making her believe you're on her side.
