Chapter 20: The True Power of Origami
The Origami Empress Dragon rushed to bite Ultra Mario, Fire Luigi, and Bowser, but they managed to jump out of the way. After the Origami Empress Dragon just bit into a stone pillar in the temple, Meowth then struck from the left with fury swipes and slashed at her face. Then the Origami Empress Dragon attempted to swipe her giant claw Meowth. Luckily, Melmetal grabbed hold of the claw and managed to hold it back before it could squash Meowth.
Meowth- Yikes! Thanks for the save there!
Melmetal- Mel…
Ash- Melmetal can't hold her back for long. I need to do something to help Melmetal!
Goh- Hey Ash, I think your Dynamax Band is lighting up.
Ash took a look and saw Goh was correct.
Ash- What's happening here?
Palutena (telepathically to Ash)- It means there's Dynamax energy in this temple. Meaning you can use Dynamaxing now.
Ash- Cool, but which Poke'mon should I Dynama…
Then Ash turned to look at Ho-Oh before he could finish that sentence. It wasn't long before Ho-Oh noticed Ash staring at him with an unusual half smile.
Ho-Oh- Uh…Master Ash, why are you looking at me like that?
Ash- Tell me, Ho-Oh…what do you know about Dynamaxing?
Ho-Oh- Actually, Master Calmly used Dynamaxing on me a couple of times when he was still my master.
Ash- Perfect! Ho-Oh, I choose to Dynamax you!
Then Ash activated the Dynamax Band and its energy flowed into Ho-Oh, causing him to grow into a giant version of himself.
Goh- Wow! A Dynamax Ho-Oh…
Pikachu- Pika…
Cinderace- Cinde…
Goh- That give me an idea! Suicune, return!
Then Goh returns Suicune into its poke'ball before activating his Dynamax Band.
Goh- If Ash can use Dynamax on his legendary Poke'mon, I might as well too! Suicune, time to Dynamax!
Then Suicune's poke'ball increased in size as Goh then called out Suicune again. Only now Suicune was also giant.
Dynamax Suicune- SUICUNE!
Dynamax Ho-Oh- IT'S GOOD TO SEE YOU TOO, SUICUNE. BUT WE CAN CATCH UP ON OLD TIME LATER. WE HAVE TO HELP OUR MASTERS STOP TABUU'S SCHEME.
Ash- Ho-Oh, max flare!
Goh- Suicune, max geyser!
Dynamax Ho-Oh- AS YOU COMMAND, MASTER ASH! MAX FLARE!
Dynamax Suicune- CUNE!
The two Dynamax moves hit the Origami Empress Dragon and knock her away from Melmetal and Meowth. The Origami Empress Dragon landed on her back and exposed the purple heart on her chest. Ultra Mario jumped on her chest and stabbed Marco's sword part way into the Origami Empress Dragon's chest.
Origami Empress Dragon (Tabuu's voice)- GHAW…Oh no you don't…not that easily…
Then the Origami Empress Dragon swiped her claw and knocked Ultra Mario off of her and knocked Ultra Mario into a wall. But as Tabuu got the Origami Empress Dragon's body back up, Donkey Kong punch the Origami Empress Dragon in the face with his Monkey Punch and caused her to back up a bit. Then Ganondorf turned into the dark beast Ganon and tackled the Origami Empress Dragon to the ground and pinned her as well. Then Link got on the Origami Empress Dragon's chest and stabbed her in the purple heart with the Master Sword.
Link- Marco's sword can cut through your power, but the Master Sword is also capable of harming you, Tabuu!
Origami Empress Dragon (Tabuu's voice)- True, but even Hylia's power doesn't compare to my own!
Then the Origami Empress Dragon spat out a stream of fire, but Link managed to block with his shield while also pulling the Master Sword out of her chest. However, this knocked Link off of the Origami Empress Dragon. Then the Origami Empress Dragon managed to shake Ganon off of her and knock him to the ground. But as the Origami Empress Dragon stood back up, Eggman's Death Egg robot grabbed her from behind and held her in place.
Eggman- Surprise! Sonic, I've got Tabuu! Strike now!
Super Sonic- With pleasure, egghead!
Then Super Sonic rammed into the Origami Empress Dragon's chest with a light speed attack which also almost blew Eggman's robot to the ground as well. But then Super Sonic saw something strange. In the open wound on the purple heart on the Origami Empress Dragon's chest, Super Sonic saw two origami hands reaching out as if they were trying to get out. However, Super Sonic's attention returned to the Origami Empress Dragon as she shook the Death Egg Robot off of her and swung her tail at Super Sonic. Luckily, Super Sonic easily dodged and Super Sonic rushed up to Ultra Mario and the others.
Super Sonic- I think I know how we can defeat her!
Fire Luigi- Really?!
Super Sonic- For a moment right at that open wound where Marco's sword cut the Origami Empress' body…I saw Olivia and Olly reaching out, as if they were trying to call out to us!
Shantae- I get it now! That purple heart is not only the only spot where Marco Mario's sword can hurt her, but it's also where Olly and Olivia's souls are being kept.
Ty- And if we can get them out of there before their souls are consumed by Tabuu's darkness, the Origami Empress can't use their bodies anymore, freeing all three of them, mate!
King DeDeDe- Easier said than done.
Risky Boots- What's the matter? Turning chicken, DeDeDe?
Adeleine- Don't give up yet, DeDeDe. I still believe in you!
King DeDeDe- Uh…Thanks, Adeleine.
Ultra Mario- We were able to beat Tabuu, even at his full power and after he transformed into Perfect Tabuu, by working together as a team. Both my team and Bowser's team. And I know we can beat Tabuu again if we continue to work together like we did back then.
Medusa- Corny speech there, Mario…but you have gotten us this far, so no point in doubting you now.
Marx- So Mario, what's the plan?
Ultra Mario- Ash and Goh's Poke'mon in their Dynamax forms, Medusa's ability to grow into a giant, Ganondorf's form as the dark beast Ganon, and Eggman's Death Egg robot are the only things large enough to hold the Origami Empress Dragon down. Marco's sword, Link's Master Sword, Sonic's power from the Chaos Emeralds, and Pit's Palutena's Bow are the only things that appear to be strong enough to increase the gap in that open wound. And the rest of you can provide a distraction to either get her pinned down or have one of us cut that wound wider.
Marx- Say no more, Mario. I'm great at causing distractions!
Then Marx pulled out his little bouncy ball and made spike appear around it.
Marx- HEY, TABUU! THINK FAST!
Then Marx kicked his ball like a soccer ball and hit the Origami Empress Dragon in the eye similar to how that 8-ball wedged into Dimentio's eye earlier.
Marx- That was for all the abuse you put me through when I worked for you, bastard!
Origami Empress Dragon (Tabuu's voice)- You traitor…I brought you back to life after Kirby killed you a second time, gave you power beyond your imagination, and this is how you repay me? By betraying me like Jayx did? I should've left your soul to rot after Kirby and Donkey Kong destroyed you. A mistake I'll soon correct.
The Origami Empress Dragon pulled Marx's ball out of her eye and attempted to bit Marx. But then Dynamax Ho-Oh dropped from above and grabbed the Origami Empress Dragon by the neck with both of Ho-Oh's claws.
Ash- Nice work, Ho-Oh!
Dynamax Ho-Oh- REMEMBER, MASTER ASH, THIS DYNAMAX POWER HAS A TIME LIMIT! THIS FORM WON'T LAST FOR ME OR SUICUNE!
Ash- I know, Ho-Oh. Ho-Oh, toss the Origami Empress' body into the air and use max airstream!
Goh- And Suicune, max hailstorm!
Dynamax Ho-Oh- AS YOU COMMAND, MASTER ASH! MAX AIRSTREAM!
Dynamax Ho-Oh's max airstream blew the Origami Empress Dragon into the air, but then Dynamax Suicune's max hailstorm pinned the Origami Empress Dragon to the wall with ice incasing her arms and legs to the wall. Pit, Risky Boots, and Bandana Dee rushed up to her as Pit stabbed both the daggers of Palutena's Bow into the Origami Empress Dragon's chest and attempted to open the wound further.
Bandana Dee- Pit, you might want to hurry! The ice restraining her limbs is breaking!
Pit managed to get it a bit more open before the Origami Empress Dragon shattered the ice pinning her to the wall. The Origami Empress Dragon fired a stream of fire at Pit, but he jumped off of her chest and avoided it. Pit activated the Power of Flight and began to fly into the air.
Origami Empress Dragon (Tabuu's voice)- Let's see how well your wings will fly when I burn them like the Chaos Kin did!
As the Origami Empress Dragon inhaled to breath in fire, Risky Boots tossed a bundle of dynamite into the Origami Empress Dragon's mouth.
Risky Boots- Who know that origami could have an explosive feature to it!
The dynamite exploded in the Origami Empress Dragon's face and she fell on her back to the ground. Pit landed on her chest as he plunged the two daggers that make the Palutena's Bow back into the open wound. Bandana Dee and Risky Boots stabbed their spear and sword into the other side to try and help widen the opening. Then Pit saw Olly's hand attempting to reach out of the darkness.
Pit- Sonic was right! Maybe I can grab Olly's hand…
Pit tried to reach for Olly's hand, but Dimentio fired a magic beam and knocked Olly's hand back into the darkness.
Dimentio- It won't be that easy! And we'll make sure of that!
Dimentio was about to aim for Pit this time, but he was suddenly being pulled into a suction similar to Kirby's inhale. However, when Dimentio looked what was pulling him in, he saw King K. Rool using his blunderbuss to suck up Dimentio. Once the blunderbuss sucked up Dimentio, King K. Rool shot Dimentio out of the blunderbuss like a cannonball. Dimentio was moving at great speed, but he managed to see he was flying towards Yoshi before Yoshi knocked him to the ground with a headbutt. But before Dimentio could get up, Charmy flew in and stuck Dimentio in the butt.
Dimentio- OWCH!
Charmy- That's for kidnapping me, Adeleine, and Ribbon! Let's see how you like the sting, bubble butt!
Dimentio- Bubble butt? I don't get that…
Charmy- Oh, you will…
As soon as Charmy took his stinger out of Dimentio's butt, his butt inflated like his eye did when Charmy stung it a few chapters ago.
Dimentio- Now I'm starting to wish I still had that can of bug spray!
Back with the Origami Empress Dragon, Pit tried to see if he could find Olly's hand reaching out again or see if he could find Olivia's hand, but with no luck. However, the Origami Empress Dragon reached out and grabbed Pit, Bandana Dee, and Risky Boots with her claw.
Origami Empress Dragon (Tabuu's voice)- Hey Pit…go long!
Then the Origami Empress Dragon threw Pit, Bandana Dee, and Risky Boots and they were heading for the shattered remains of Scissor's blades on the ground. But then Tails managed to barely fly up while holding Adeleine's canvas that had a giant baseball glove painted on it. Then the glove came out of the canvas and caught Pit, Bandana Dee, and Risky Boots before they could get cut up.
Ribbon- That was a close catch, but are you sure you should be flying, Tails? Your legs are still broken.
Tails- I'm flying…not walking…(grunt)…but I can still feel the pain…
The Origami Empress Dragon was about to attack Pit and the others again, but Medusa punched the Origami Empress Dragon in her giant form the same way she punched Hades in Kid Icarus Uprising. While the Origami Empress Dragon was stunned a bit, Ganon rushed over and pinned the Origami Empress Dragon to the ground again.
Origami Empress Dragon (Tabuu's voice)- I didn't think you'd be intelligent enough to know friend from foe when you turn into that beast, Ganondorf.
Then Link, Espio, and King DeDeDe got on the Origami Empress Dragon's chest. Link charged the Master Sword to full power and swung with the Triforce Cut to make the opening wider. After Link made the open wound spread its gap, he saw Olivia's reaching out and tried to reach for it.
Link- Olivia, try to reach for my hand! I'm going to try and pull out and your bother out!
Just as Link was about to grab Olivia's hand sticking out of the darkness, a throwing knife was thrown and almost hit Link's hand. But it did hit Olivia's hand and knocked it back into the darkness inside the Origami Empress Dragon. Link looked behind him and saw Vaati holding several throwing knives and was prepared to throw another. But then Vector got the drop on Vaati from above and dropped both his fists on Vaati's head. A part of Vaati's skull got cracked after Vector hit him. While Vaati stunned from that splitting headache, Boss Cass fired a beam from his laser gun and sent Vaati flying. Unfortunately for Vaati, he landed Robobot's chest while Kirby was still piloting Robobot.
Kirby- Hey Robobot, let's do something about that bug on you.
Then Robobot grabbed hold of Vaati's upper body with one hand and Vaati's ankles in the other hand. Then Robobot stretched Vaati's body like a rubber band before flinging Vaati to the ceiling. Link, Espio, and King DeDeDe attempted to cut the open wound wider to see if they could find Olivia or Olly again, but the Origami Empress Dragon managed to shake Ganon off of her body and knock him to the floor. Then the Origami Empress Dragon swept her tail and knocked Medusa off her feet. Then the Origami Empress Dragon flapped her wings and blew Link, Espio, and King DeDeDe off her chest. Luckily, Spider Shantae created a giant web that caught Link and Espio before they could hit the ground. However, DeDeDe just flew right through the web since he had a lot of weight to his body. As DeDeDe panicked about hitting the ground, Donkey Kong jumped up and caught him.
Donkey Kong- Don't worry. I got you!
Spider Shantae- Wow! My webs were able to stop Link and Espio from falling, but DeDeDe flew through it like a brick through a window. I think you need to get out and exercise more often. If seems like you need to lose a couple of pounds.
Then the Death Egg robot got up to the Origami Empress Dragon and punched her in the face. After the Origami Empress Dragon was knocked to the ground again, the Death Egg robot fired some electrical cables to bind her body. Then Ultra Mario, Fire Luigi, Super Sonic, and Bowser got on the Origami Empress Dragon's body and Ultra Mario struck the Origami Empress Dragon in the chest with Marco's sword.
Origami Empress Dragon (Tabuu's voice)- GWAAAAAAAHHHH!
Fire Luigi- Sonic, where did you see Olivia and Olly?
Super Sonic- I can't exactly remember where, but to be honest, I think they're moving around in that void of darkness on her chest.
Ultra Mario- Well, this darkness was created from Tabuu's power…and Marco's sword can disrupt Tabuu's power…
Then Ultra Mario swung Marco's sword again and actually cut some of the darkness away. This also revealed more than just Olly or Olivia's arms reaching out. Ultra Mario, Fire Luigi, Super Sonic, and Bowser saw Olivia and Olly's upper halves sticking out of the dark void they were trapped in.
Olivia- Mario!
Ultra Mario- It worked! We've found them!
Bowser- Hang on, Olivia! I'll get you and your brother out of there!
Poke'mon Hunter J- I don't think so! Ariados, stop them with string shot!
Then Poke'mon Hunter J called out her Ariados and attempted to web up Ultra Mario and the others, but then a Max Flare from Dynamax Ho-Oh and a Max Geyser from Dynamax Suicune blasted Ariados and knocked it against the wall. Ariados fainted after that, but the Dynamax wore off, changes Ho-Oh and Suicune back to normal.
Ash- Guess you forgot about us, J!
Goh- But it looks like the Dynamaxing expired. Damn! I was liking having our legendary Poke'mon powered up with Dynamax power.
Ash- Maybe we can play with Dynamax Ho-Oh and Dynamax Suicune some more in another story. But right now…
Pikachu- Pikachu!
Poke'mon Hunter J- I'm not out yet! Runerigus, Drapion, Salamence!
Poke'mon Hunter J called out her Poke'mon, but they were all looking like they were in just as bad shape as Tails was.
Goh- Hang on…aren't those the Poke'mon you used during our fight in Smash City? I beat them up already in this fanfiction and it doesn't look like they've recovered at all. What were you thinking using Poke'mon that have been badly injured already?
Poke'mon Hunter J- Hey, how are your Poke'mon fully recovered in between our battle? Because I remember your Poke'mon taking just as much of a beating as mine did!
Goh- Oh, I made a bargain with Viridi on the way over to this temple. She fully restored my Poke'mon in exchange for barrowing my Lilligant for a week. Viridi wanted Liligant's abilities to help some of the flowers in her gardens bloom.
Poke'mon Hunter J- Should've ask Tabuu for a full restore as well…But I'm not going down without a fight! Salamence, Mega Evolve!
Then Poke'mon Hunter J Mega Evolved Salamence into Mega Salamence. But Mega Salamence was still looking just as injured as it was before it Mega Evolved.
Poke'mon Hunter J- Drapion, cross poison! Runerigus, shadow ball! And Salamence, hyper beam!
Before Poke'mon Hunter J's Poke'mon could attack, Jessie's Seviper struck Drapion with poison tail, James' Mareanie struck Runerigus with knock-off, and Meowth struck Mega Salamence with fury swipes. This made all of her Poke'mon faint, but then again, they were still hurt from a previous fight. But then Poke'mon Hunter J saw Marx standing on his ball and looking right at her.
Marx- Hello, J.
Poke'mon Hunter J- What do you want, traitor?
Marx- Why do you keep listening to Tabuu if you hate how much he's abusing you and treating you like a slave? Or forcing you to ware that French maid outfit you said you'd rather die than put on?
Poke'mon Hunter J- Because I don't want to end up like Mephiles. I'm sure you remember Tabuu used him as an example of what happens to those who defile him. And I'm sure he'll be coming after you soon enough for betraying him.
Marx- But I'm sure Marco's sword could sever your link with Tabuu like it severed mine and even severed Olivia from it before you used her to revive the Empress. I'm sure if can free you too like how it freed me from Tabuu.
Poke'mon Hunter J- Free…from Tabuu…
Suddenly, Poke'mon Hunter J felt something like a finger flicking her in the back of her head.
Poke'mon Hunter J- Damn it! Forgot about those ****ing voodoo dolls Tabuu has! Sorry, Marx, but I'll have to decline your offer…(mutters) as much as I would prefer to be out of Tabuu's enslavement…
Marx- Too bad. But hey…I tried…
Then Ty struck her from behind with the Freezerangs and froze Poke'mon Hunter J in a block of ice.
Marx- Shame, because I really was serious about having Mario use his ancestor's sword to see if he can free you, Vaati, and Dimentio too.
Back with Ultra Mario and the others, Ultra Mario attempted to reach for Olly and Olivia and pull them out of the Origami Empress Dragon's body.
Ultra Mario- Quick! Grab my hand! I'm gonna see if I can pull you both out of there!
As Olivia and Olly reached for Ultra Mario's hand, Tabuu's mark appeared on the Origami Empress Dragon's left claw and rainbow-colored wings appeared from her back.
Fire Luigi- Oh ****!
Super Sonic- Tabuu's launching the Off-Wave again!
Olivia- Mario, get out before Tabuu launches that attack again!
Ultra Mario- If I can get you out before that happens…
But he didn't. The Origami Empress Dragon launched the Off-Wave and blew away the electric cables binding her to the ground. It also knocked Ultra Mario, Fire Luigi, Super Sonic, and Bowser off of the Origami Empress Dragon. Then the Off-Wave his everyone else and knocked them all to the ground. Medusa was back to normal size, the Death Egg robot and demolished, Robobot looked like it had a hole blown through it, and Ganon had changed back into Ganondorf. Ultra Mario stood back up and realized Marco's sword wasn't on him anymore.
Ultra Mario- Marco's sword…where did it…
Super Sonic- Uh…Mario…look…
Then Ultra Mario looked at where Super Sonic was pointing and saw Marco's sword wedged and sticking out of the purple heart on the Origami Empress Dragon's chest.
Ultra Mario- Oh snap…
However, the Origami Empress Dragon was looking weakened as well. But if was hard to tell if the Origami Empress Dragon was hurt of it Tabuu was exhausted controlling her with his power. However, the Super Mario Brothers' Team and Bowser's Team were getting exhausted as well.
Ultra Mario- If we can just get to Marco's sword, maybe we can cut through the darkness again and get Olly and Olivia out of there.
Fire Luigi- But what if Tabuu does the Off-Wave again?
Super Sonic- I think Tabuu is starting to get spent. I doubt he has enough energy to do another Off-Wave. But it still won't be easy getting to where Marco's sword is wedged.
Then Bowser looked at the purple heart on the Origami Empress saw Olivia attempting to reach out of the darkness again only to be swallowed by the darkness again.
Bowser- Hang on, origami girl! I'm coming for you!
Then Bowser rushed off towards where Marco's sword was sticking out to the Origami Empress Dragon's chest. The Origami Empress Dragon attempted to swipe her claw at Bowser, but Ultra Mario and Fire Luigi struck her claw with a fireball from each of them. Then Super Sonic struck the Origami Empress Dragon in the face with a spin dash and knocked her to the ground. Before she could get back up, Bowser grabbed Marco's sword and swung it to remove the darkness covering Olly and Olivia.
Olivia- Huh…Bowser?
Bowser- I've got you both!
Bowser reached out and grabbed Olivia's hand in one claw and Olly's in the others. Then Bowser began to pull them out of the Origami Empress Dragon's body. Although, Tabuu's power felt like it was burning Bowser's arms just by touching them. But Bowser ignored the pain and continued to pull them out. It took all the strength Bowser had, but he pulled Olivia and King Olly out of the Origami Empress Dragon and broke Tabuu's control over the Origami Empress. The Origami Empress Dragon vanished like it was turned to dust and being blown away. Bowser was lying in a large crater the ground while holding Olivia, Olly, and Marco's sword, but his arms also looked badly burnt too. Almost pitch black. When Bowser woke up, he saw King DeDeDe extending his hand, offering to help Bowser back up.
King DeDeDe- Need a hand, Bowser?
Bowser- Gee…thanks, DeDeDe.
Then Bowser took DeDeDe's hand as King DeDeDe helped Bowser stand back up. Then Olly and Olivia woke up and stood up too.
Olivia- Bowser…did you just save us…?
Bowser- Yeah…Guess I did…
Then Olly saw Dimentio, Vaati, and Poke'mon Hunter J lying on the ground.
Olly- Hold on…there's something I need to do…
Then Olly used his powers take hold of Tabuu's followers and folded them into different Origami folds. Poke'mon Hunter J was folded into an origami crane, Dimentio was folded into an origami sandwich similar to how Bowser was folded in Paper Mario: Origami King, and Vaati was folded into an origami lamp.
Olly- Tabuu…show yourself, you coward!
Then a portal opened up in front of Olly, revealing Tabuu sitting on his throne in Subspace.
Olly- Take your pieces of trash with you! And if you ever mess with me or Olivia again, I'll fold you into something much worse!
Tabuu- (Yawn)…oh please. You know very well your power can't fold me. Especially since my power repelled you power when you tried to fold my followers earlier. Your threats are just empty words to me. However, I will take back what's mine.
Then Tabuu made the folded bodies of Dimentio, Poke'mon Hunter J, and Vaati levitate off the ground and back into Subspace.
Ultra Mario- Looks like you lose again, Tabuu.
Tabuu- Truth be told, this was Dimentio's idea. I just agreed because I liked the idea of having an edge against Marco's sword. But even her immunity to that sword didn't work. So, I'll just have to finish you myself.
Then Tabuu took off the bandage around his left palm. The wound where Marco stabbed him was almost healed, although there was a noticeable scar covering where his mark was supposed to be visible.
Tabuu- It won't be long before I have my powers back and can even turn into Perfect Tabuu again. And I also will not fear Marco's sword! That weapon might be able to hurt me, but that doesn't mean you can beat me with it! And I promise you, we'll have our rematch before the next season finale. I'll see you then.
Dimentio- Uh…Master Tabuu…
Vaati- A little help please!
Poke'mon Hunter J- How about you unfold us and then go back to brutally beating us as punishment for our failures?
Tabuu- All admit…normally, I'd be extremely pissed that you idiots screwed everything up again…but this is just too hilarious to keep me in a bad mood! HAHAHAHAHA! I think I'll leave you three like this overnight so I can get my fill of entertainment!
Poke'mon Hunter J- WHAT?!
Vaati- This isn't fair!
Dimentio- Master Tabuu, you can't just leave us like this!
Tabuu- I can and I will, Dimentio!
Then the portal to Subspace closed and Tabuu and his followers were nowhere in sight. However, Olivia and Olly saw the Origami Empress' soul emerge from the ground.
Olivia- Is that…
Olly- Uh…goddesses…what are their names?
Olivia- You mean Palutena and Viridi?
Olly- Yes! Palutena and Viridi…some white folding paper, please.
Then a large white sheet of paper appeared in Olly's hands.
Ribbon- Olly, what are you doing?
Olly- Just helping out a fellow Origami.
Then Olly used the Fold of Life to make a new body for the Origami Empress as her soul was instantly transported into it.
Origami Empress- I'm…I'm alive again…?!
Olivia- Welcome back, Origami Empress!
Origami Empress- Olivia…and Olly…?
Olly- Nice to finally meet the real you.
Origami Empress- It's nice to meet you in person too, but why did you do this? Why fold me back after everything I've done to you?
Olivia- That wasn't your doing. It was the work of mean god, Tabuu.
Olly- And like I told you earlier, I too was in a similar state you were in. Thinking that the Origami Craftsman disrespected my origami only to be blinded by my rage. But if Olivia and Mario could help set me back on the correct path…maybe Olivia and I can help you as well.
Then Olivia and Olly hugged the Origami Empress and the Origami Empress began to cry for joy.
Origami Empress- Olly…Olivia…thank you!
Ultra Mario- This actually brings a tear to your eyes.
Bowser- You know what Mario, it does. Makes me wish Jr. were here so I can give him a family hug.
Ultra Mario- Speaking of family, can I have my ancestor's sword back.
Then Bowser hands Ultra Mario Marco's sword.
Super Sonic- Guess this is a happy ending after all.
Then Ho-Oh appears behind Super Sonic after stomping his claw to the ground.
Ho-Oh- Not yet…
Before Super Sonic could ask what Ho-Oh meant, Ho-Oh flicked a large piece of Rubber Band and spanked Super Sonic in the rear.
Super Sonic- OWCH! Hey! What was that…
Then Ho-Oh pressed his face against Super Sonic as he stared him down.
Ho-Oh- That was for whipping Rubber Band at me in the butt! My left cheek is still red and swollen, even after Master Ash used that Max Potion to stop the pain! Now we're even, Sonic!
(Later that night at the Origami Festival at Toad Town)
The sun had already set and fireworks were lighting up the night sky as everyone was enjoying the Origami Festival. Tails was sitting in a wheelchair that Sonic was holding the handles for while Adeleine, Ribbon, and the Origami Empress were painting on Tails' leg cases.
Origami Empress- You were right! Painting is fun! But I think I need some work. I tried to draw a fox with two tails, but it looks more like a potato with a face.
Adeleine- Give it time. It takes a while for an artist to get as good as me. But I'm sure you'll get there with practice.
Sonic- Come on, Tails. Let's see how Knuckles and the others are doing.
Tails- Ok, Sonic.
Meanwhile, Link and Aryll were folding origami lamps at one table. Ty, Shazza, Fang, Bowser, and Bowser Jr. were looking at life-sized origami statue of Marco Mario placed in the center of Toad Town. Several of Bowser's minions, King K. Rool's Kremlings, King DeDeDe's Waddle Dee's, Ganondorf's minions, Boss Cass' lizards, and Risky Boots' Tinkerbats were enjoying the Origami Festival and not causing trouble this time. Even Palutena and Viridi were attending the Origami Festival in person. Donkey Kong, Diddy Kong, Dixie Kong, and Tiny Kong were playing with party poppers that Marx was selling. However, Tiny Kong popped hers near Cranky Kong who was taking a nap on a bench nearby and woke him up. Ash, Pikachu, and Ho-Oh were making origami figures shaped like Poke'mon. Eventually, Misty, Brock, Iris, Serena, Goh, and Chloe approached Ash.
Chloe- You seem to be enjoying yourself.
Ash- After what we all just went through before the festival, I think we all deserve some time to enjoy ourselves. And I'm doing good at learning origami. Look, I made a Pikachu.
Pikachu- Pika Pi.
Ash showed them the origami Pikachu he folded.
Misty- I'll admit, that's very well done.
Goh- But why is there an origami crane on the table as well?
Ash- Well…I was trying to make an origami Ho-Oh too, but I guess folding a phoenix into origami is harder than it appears to be.
Iris- Speaking of Ho-Oh, you planning on using him in the World Coronation Tournament? You are paired against Steven in the first round and Ho-Oh's fire traits could be of great use to you.
Ho-Oh- Master Ash did tell me about that competition to be the strongest ranked trainer in the world. However, I don't think he really needs me for a battle competition.
Ash- Ho-Oh's right. Ho-Oh only comes when I need him. And Kyrin explained to be that if I were able to use Ho-Oh whenever…how many Poke'mon from other Trainers do you think would be able to last more than one round against a Poke'mon as powerful as him?
Brock- Makes sense. Though a lot of people wish that that one trainer you faced in the Sinnoh League did the same instead of using those legendary Poke'mon.
Ho-Oh- And besides, I'm sure Master Ash will do perfect in this Master's Eight Tournament, even without me.
Serena- I'm sure he will.
Goh- Hey Ash, think you can show me how to make an origami Pikachu?
Pit, Dark Pit, and Dawn at an ice cream stand and had each bought an ice cream cone. But while Pit was licking his cone, Dawn supposed tossed the ice cream on her cone on top of the ice cream on Pit's cone.
Dawn- Oops! I think I dropped my ice cream onto your cone. Mind if I take a lick back?
Pit- Seriously?!
Dark Pit- This is too rich!
Pit- Shut up, Pittoo!
Dark Pit- Stop calling me that!
But near Princess Peach's castle, the Origami Craftsman had placed his latest masterpiece up for display. An origami castle with two origami figures sitting on the thrones of the castle. After the Origami Craftsman put the finishing touches on it, Olly and Olivia approached it.
Olivia- Wow! This is amazing! You've really outdid yourself with this!
Origami Craftsman- You really think so?
Olly- If you ask me, I'd say it's missing something. If I may…
Then Olly moved over and began folding something to the origami castle. When Olly was done, there were now three thrones and three origami figures. One looked like Olly, one looked like Olivia, and the third looked like the Origami Empress. All three of them looking so happy like a family.
Olivia- Olly…
Olly- I'd say she's like family to us. She is origami just like us.
Then Mario, Luigi, and Princess Peach approached the origami castle.
Princess Peach- How cute and heart touching how you've added the Origami Empress to that.
Olivia- I know. And thanks for letting us attend the Origami Festival.
Olly- I'm surprised everyone's ok with me here after what I did during the last festival.
Luigi- I'm sure it's all water under the bridge. Just like how we've forgiving the Origami Empress.
Then Olivia looked over and saw the life-sized origami statue of Marco.
Olivia- So…that's your ancestor, Marco Mario? He just like you, Mario. Even the same mustache.
Mario- Yeah. He was a great hero and the one who lead the original Super Mario Brothers' Team against Tabuu.
Olly- And that sword was powerful enough to destroy Tabuu's power. But damn, you weren't kidding when you said removing Tabuu's mark with that sword would be painful!
Olivia- At least you're free from Tabuu's mark too.
Then Olivia turned to look at Mario.
Olivia- By the way, Mario, I think I heard Bowser mentioning someone called Slicor Koopa who also existed 1,000 years ago. Was he part of Marco's team?
Mario- Uh…not really…he was against Tabuu…but Slicor was more…uh…more like how Bowser is…
Then Sonic was dashing around handing origami lanterns to everyone attending the festival.
Sonic- Hey, Princess Peach says it's almost time for the finale. So everyone, take a paper lantern.
After Sonic handed an origami lantern to everyone, they all let the paper lanterns fly into the night sky, filling it with their light.
Olly- Hey Mario, you want to take a little stab at Tabuu? Before Olivia and I escaped from Subspace, I found out Tabuu's dirty little secret…and believe me…it's a good one…

Tabuu- THEY DID WHAT?!
Tabuu's yelling caused the entire palace to shake like there was an earthquake. Tabuu was on his computer and looking at the computer screen with his left eye twitching with Fawful standing next to him.
Fawful- Apparently, Olly tell Mario Brothers about how Tabuu keep secret stash of My Little Pony comics hidden in underwear drawer. Mario post on Facebook page all day with several issues Olly took with him as proof. Entire Mushroom Kingdom laughing at Master Tabuu as he become big laughingstock.
Tabuu- I never thought I'd be missing the days when Marco was still my target to destroy. At least 1,000 years ago, social media didn't exist…
Then Tabuu walked away while covering his face with his hands. When Fawful thought Tabuu had left the room, Fawful pulled out his smartphone, made that usual grin of his, and gave Mario's Facebook post a "like."
Tabuu- I saw that, Fawful!
Then Fawful panicked and quickly turned his phone off.

Epilogue-
Tabuu is walking back and forth around his room as tries to think of what to do next.
Tabuu- I can't believe this! Not only did this scheme backfire, but now, I've been publicly humiliated like this! And I know Marco was behind Olly and Olivia speaking to Mario through the Origami Empress! In fact, it was Marco and his team who ruined everything during the last season finale! Hmmm…maybe I was too quick to jump targets like that. Maybe…this will not be easy, but I think I know of a way to say hello…to an old friend…HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
