Things were unusually quiet in the water tower today. Earlier that morning, the Warner siblings were informed by their director that they were given the day off from filming for their show. The Warners were surprised when they heard this news, knowing how strict and uptight their director usually was. Nonetheless, Yakko, Wakko, and Dot were thrilled by the news. It wasn't often where they got to have time away from the cameras, so when that opportunity came, they took it on a whim.
Yakko wasn't really sure how he was going to spend the day at first. Weirdly, he did not feel up for bugging Scratchy, Ralph, or Hello Nurse today, nor were his siblings. Wakko had suggested walking down to the tennis courts to play a few rounds of tennis. While Yakko enjoyed playing the sport, he didn't feel up for doing that either. Feeling abnormally lazy today, Yakko decided that he would spend his day at home, doing nothing at all.
Too bad for him that Wakko and Dot were actually in favor of partaking in family activities today. Dot wanted to give her older brother's a beauty treatment, which both Warner brothers despised. Wakko, being the gamer of the family, wanted to play card games. Dot and Wakko bantered for a while about what activity they wanted to do. Not being able to agree on anything, the siblings looked to their older brother. It was then that Yakko was forced to make a difficult decision: which activity did he want to engage in? It was definitely a hard decision, so he finally decided not to make a decision at all; he would please both his siblings by doing what each of them wanted to do, hanging out with them one on one. Wakko and Dot made a face when Yakko told them this, but they both agreed to this idea.
Yakko was currently sitting in Dot's bedroom, having decided that he would get Dot's thing over with before playing cards with Wakko. His eyes were shut, and he was unable to see anything, but he could feel his sister's hands shuffling as she applied some sort of makeup to his face. He didn't know what it was about makeup that caused girls to go bezerk, but he knew that his feisty little sister would bash him for saying that, so he wisely kept that thought to himself.
"Can I open my eyes now?" Asked Yakko.
Dot giggled. "Not yet. Almost done."
"Will I look bad?"
"No. Trust me, you will look beautiful when I'm done with you," Dot assured him. She put her hand over her mouth, muffling the sound of her giggles.
He didn't admit it, but Yakko was already starting to regret letting his younger sister get a hold of his face. He knew that Dot was aware of the fact that he felt nervous, and he had a bad feeling inside him that she was going to take advantage of this by giving him the most embarrassing glow up he has ever recieved. Yakko knew that his sister had wanted to do this sort of thing to him for years, and would ask again and again if she could give Yakko a makeover, to which he almost always said no. He was not the sort of guy to have pleasure from having makeup applied to his face, Wakko even moreso.
For all the times that he had denied his sister the chance to experiment with his face, Yakko had started to feel guilty for saying no to her. As much as he let his stupid pride lead his decision making, he didn't want his sister to feel lonely. So, he supposed that it was better late than never, which is why he decided to give in to Dot's pleas and allow her to put makeup on him, much to her squealish delight. It was a sacrifice on Yakko's part, but it wasn't as if anyone besides his siblings were going to see it. Besides, it didn't hurt to have a little makeup on his face, right?
"Ok! You can open your eyes now!"
On Dot's word, Yakko opened his eyes. Dot was holding a mirror in front of his face, and when Yakko saw his reflection, he gasped. His face was coated in baby pink makeup, with red lipstick rubbed on his mouth, and vibrant blue eyeshadow and fake eyelashes over his eyes. He started to blush, his face turning more pink than it already was. Dot laughed hysterically as she saw her older brother react to his new look.
"Well, heh heh, whaddya think?" Dot asked in between laughter.
Yakko continued to gaze at himself in the mirror. Yes, this was embarrassing. His little sister had definitely outdone herself with the makeover she gave him. But the more that Yakko admired himself in the mirror, the bigger his smile grew. His glittery, masquera covered face made him stand out more than usual. This new look wasn't as bad as he had originally expected it to be. In fact, he thought he looked quite handsome in a way. He puckered his bright red lips, admiring himself in the mirror.
"Well hello, Mr. Handsome," Yakko said out loud.
Dot snorted at that comment. "Heh heh! Oh, Yakko, you're too much."
"Ya know, sis? If I was wearing a dress right now, I could be mistaken for Cinderella going to the ball," joked Yakko.
"Whatever you say, Yakkorella," Dot teased, shaking her head. Then a lightbulb flickered over her head. "Hey! You've given me another idea for a makeover!"
Yakko's eyes grew wide, sweat trickling down his face.
"Nono, sis. I'm not getting into a dress," he declined, waving his hands dismissively. "The makeup is enough, really."
Dot's face fell, immediately looking disappointed.
"Pleeeeeease?" She begged, "Pretty Please, with a cherry on top?"
Yakko rolled his eyes, feeling slightly annoyed by his sister's pleas. Dot was giving him the ever-heartbreaking, overly adorable puppy eye face that always seemed to work on him, and convince him to do something that he didn't really want to do. But this time, Yakko was unfazed by it.
"I'm sorry, Dot, but I'm all makeuped out for one day, " he told her sadly.
Dot frowned, pouting her lip and crossing her arms. She had become upset by Yakko's refusal to do what she wanted.
"You're no fun!" she whined.
Those three words that came out of his sister's mouth really stung. Yakko wasn't trying to ruin his sister's fun – he still wanted to spend time with her – but he didn't feel comfortable with his sister giving him another makeover. Makeup was enough, in his opinion; he didn't feel up for going the extra mile and adding onto this "new look" of his. Although, he didn't want to disappoint his little sister. He didn't give Dot the opportunity to do this often, and she seemed overjoyed to give her older brother the makeup treatment. He thought of a compromise that could hopefully solve this debacle, a compromise that his mind could get around.
"How 'bout I give you a makeover instead?" Yakko proposed.
Dot raised an eyebrow. "What made you come up with that idea?"
"I dunno. Just for something new, I guess," Replied Yakko, shrugging his shoulders. "You know how much I love taking risks and coming out of my comfort zone, don't you."
Dot continued to stare at him. While she seemed to be questioning her older brother's weird proposition, especially after what he had just said prior, she accepted this weird idea of his.
"If you say so," she said, feeling weary. "Just don't mess up, will you? I have a reputation to hold, ya know."
"Yeah, yeah, I'll be careful," he assured her, picking up a tube of purple lipstick from Dot's makeup bag.
"Yakkoooooo! Are you done yet!?"
Yakko's ears perked up when he heard his younger brother's voice hollering to him. He had promised Wakko that he would play with him right after he was done doing Dot's preferred activity. He has spent a good twenty five minutes with Dot, and he had allowed his little sister to give him a makeover just like she wanted. Yakko scratched his head, questioning whether or not he should go off to play with Wakko or if he should stay with Dot a little longer. He glanced at his sister, who was glaring at him.
"You want to ditch me to go play with Wakko is what I'm getting at," Dot accused, placing her hands on her hips.
"Well I, Uh-"
"If you really want to go play cards with Wakko, then go at it," said Dot, annoyance hidden in her tone. "I get it; it's his turn now."
A frown puckered Yakko's lips. He knew that if he left his sister's room to go spend time with his brother, then he would be leaving his sister behind in the process. But then again, Yakko didn't want Wakko to feel left out, either. He had spent plenty of quality time with his sister; now it was Wakko's turn for a brother bonding experience.
"Yakkooooo!" Wakko hollard, again, "Are you coming!?"
"Be right there!" Yakko responded. He looked back at his sister, whose scowl was extremely apparent now. "Sorry, sis," he apologized to her, because he felt guilty. His sister's scowl remained the same. "How about this: once I've played a couple rounds of cards with Wakko, I'll come back and put makeup on you. Deal?"
Yakko facepalmed internally. Now, he had made another compromise with his sister on top of the previous one he had made. He hoped that he wasn't making his little sister more upset by leaving her. Just by the look on her face alone, Yakko could tell that Dot was frustrated with him for his actions, and rightfully so, because he was surely making a fool of himself right now.
"Ugh! Fine!" She reluctantly agreed.
As soon as Dot had spoken, Yakko dropped her lipstick on the floor and quickly scurried out of his sister's bedroom. He could feel his sister's angry scowl glaring at him from behind. He knew that he wasn't thinking things through; he knew that he was making a fool of himself. But now, it was too late to change his mind.
Yakko reached the outside of his brother's bedroom. His face had started to sweat with fear, fearing as to how Wakko would react to his "brand new look". His wrist twitching, Yakko gave a shaky knock on the door. He could hear footsteps from behind the door approaching, Yakko's heart started to beat faster and faster. The doorknob turned, and then, the door swung open.
"Hey, Yakko. Why did you…"
Wakko started to speak, but he soon trailed off. He gasped when his eyes caught a glimpse of his older brother. A small huff of air came out of Wakko's nose as he held his hand up to his mouth. He started holding his breath, his cheeks filling up with air, his face starting to turn pink, then red, then purple. His eyes started to water, his cheeks growing pudgier as they swelled with air. Yakko could tell that his brother was trying to hold back laughter. His own cheeks had turned a bright pink in humility.
"What? It was Dot's doing, not mine," Commented Yakko, annoyed, placing his hands on his hips.
His brother snorted, his face almost blue, his cheeks had grown to the size of two balloons. Wakko couldn't take it anymore. He released his hand from his mouth, making a loud wheezing sound, his cheeks shrinking back down to normal size. The boy started laughing uncontrollably, nearly collapsing onto the floor. He leaned his body against the door to support his balance, wiping a fat tear off his eye. This is the hardest Yakko had seen his brother laugh in a long time. He hasn't laughed this hard since the last time he watched a Don Knotts film.
After nearly a minute straight of hard belly laughter, Wakko finally started to regain composure.
"Heh heh heh! Oh my god, you look amazing, Yakko!" Wakko said playfully, still giggling.
"By that, you mean embarrassing," muttered Yakko. "I'm glad to have gotten a chuckle out of you."
"Ah, gee, bro, I'm sorry. I just wasn't expecting to see that when I opened the door," Wakko retained a smile, though there was a hint of regret in his tone.
"No, it's fine," he told his brother, "Even I have to admit that my new look is quite the sight."
Quite the sight indeed. Yakko's face had turned cherry red with embarrassment. He was absolutely mortified, but he tried not to let it show. He didn't want to make his younger brother upset by putting all of his emotions on him. He supposed that he should just hang loose, and go with the flow for a while.
"Say, Wakko? You up for some Go Fish?" Yakko asked Wakko, a smirk replacing his previous look of stress.
"You bet I am!" Answered Wakko, throwing his hands in the air joyously. "I've already got the game set up for us. Come on in, handsome."
Yakko managed a half-suppressed laugh at his brother's one liner, though he still felt sheepish. Wakko dragged him over to his bed, where he had already laid out a deck of playing cards. It was remarkable to Yakko that his little brother enjoyed playing these card games so much; it wasn't something most kids his age were into. But Yakko saw this as a good thing, because he enjoyed playing card games too. He climbed up onto the edge of the bed. Wakko followed suit, sitting on top of his pillow across from him. Both boys picked up their respective hands, holding the cards close to their faces.
"Do you wanna go first?" Yakko asked.
Wakko shook his head. "Nah. You go first."
"You want me to go first just so you can play some special move that crushes my chances of winning. Am I right about that?" Yakko smirked, peaking over his hand.
Wakko made a face, and shook his head again.
"Nono. Besides, there are no special moves in Go Fish," Wakko replied, almost in a smart-alecky way.
"Ok, but you still think you're gonna win, right?"
"Um, probably," Wakko shrugged his shoulders.
The brother's laughed, then decided to start their game. Yakko shuffled his cards, he examined them closely. He was trying to decide which card he should call out first, keeping in mind that he was playing with someone who knew the game well. He peeked over his hand, his brother watching him with a thoughtful look in his eye. Finally, Yakko made his first move:
"Do you have any fives?" Yakko asked his brother, holding the five clubs with two fingers.
"No," Wakko shook his head, "Go Fish."
"Darn," muttered Yakko as he drew a card from the deck and added it to his hand. Now it was Wakko's turn to make a move.
"Do you have any threes?" Wakko glanced up from his cards, a sly smirk on his face.
Yakko sighed as he gazed at his three of hearts card. It was as if his brother had an internal instinct of what cards he had and what cards he didn't. He drew the card from his hand and gave it to Wakko, in which he accepted the card. He drew a three of hearts from his own hand and placed the two cards down, creating his first pile. Yakko sighed again as he noticed his brother's smirk grow wider. He knew exactly how this game was going to play out, and he also knew that he wasn't going to come out on top in the end.
This trend continued for the entire duration of the game, with Yakko drawing cards from the deck and Wakko taking the cards from his hand and adding another pile. Yakko knew that his brother was a wiz when it came to Go Fish. He had witnessed his brother on several occasions playing the game by himself, manipulating the game however he pleased. He even raged at himself when he lost a game against…himself. Yakko frowned at the thought, realizing that Wakko rarely ever gets the chance to play his favorite card game with an actual person. The guilt was starting to eat at Yakko, and was swallowing him whole. He sighed, wincing, trying not to let the guilt get a hold of him.
Get your act together, Yakko, old boy, he told himself. You're doing this for your brother. Don't spoil his fun.
"I win!" His brother shouted, throwing his arms in the air.
Yakko gasped, not expecting his younger brother to win this quickly. By the end of the game, Wakko had created over eight piles of matches. Meanwhile, Yakko was only able to get two matches from his brother's hand. He wasn't mad, though; he was proud, in fact, proud that Wakko had mastered Go Fish to an impressive extent.
"Congrats, baby bro!" He congratulated his brother, shaking Wakko's hand with two pumps. "You're better than I thought you were, I'll say."
"Gee, thanks Yakko," Said Wakko, quietly. He rubbed his arm, his smile suddenly disappearing. "Say, I'm sorry that I laughed at you before. You look nice, actually, even if it's different."
Yakko's eyebrows furrowed. He was taken aback by his brother's apology, as he was not expecting to get one. He did feel insecure about the makeup previously, and Wakko's reaction did far but help. But after a while, he stopped feeling intimidated by it. He was so caught up in the game of Go Fish that he had actually forgotten that he was wearing makeup in the first place. He could tell that Wakko felt bad about what he had done, but he didn't want him to. He put a hand on his brother's shoulder.
"Wakko. It's ok. Really," Yakko told him, lifting his brother's chin up. "I'm not mad at you for laughing at me. It was a reaction, and you shouldn't feel ashamed for the way you react to something, even if you think it was wrong."
Wakko looked up at Yakko thoughtfully, his smile returning. Yakko felt an enormous weight be lifted from his chest, relieving his worries.
"Ok, Yakko. I understand," he said, "Thanks for playing with me."
"Oh, it's nothing. You are my brother, after all," Yakko replied kindly. He squished down his brother's red cap with his hand, giving him a noogie. Wakko giggled, playfully tickling his older brother's arm to free himself from his grasp.
"Hey, how about another round of Go Fish?" Suggested Wakko.
Yakko smirked. "Sure. Maybe I'll win this time."
"Ahem!"
Yakko nearly jumped when he heard a voice coming from outside the hall. He turned around to see Dot standing in the doorway, a frustrated look on her face. She marched towards him, clenching her fists, fire in her eyes.
"Hey, Dot," Yakko said nervously, his face beginning to sweat. "What are you doing here?"
"Oh, you know why I'm here!" Dot yelled. She pressed her finger against Yakko's nose in an accusing way. "You told me that you would put makeup on my face after playing your little game with Wakko."
He gulped, knowing that he had backed himself into a wall with no possible way out. He had almost forgotten about the promise that he had made Dot a little while ago.
"I kept my promise," Yakko told her, forcing his sister's hand off his nose. "But I've only played one round of Go Fish. How about I play another quick round and then I'll help you, deal?"
Dot sighed dramatically, lowering her shoulders and pouted.
"But you've been playing for sooooo long!" she whined. "Please Yakko? You can always come back to Wakko after we're done!"
Yakko started to sweat, his face becoming flushed and overheated. He looked at Wakko, noticing the scowl on his face and his crossed arms. That pain in his stomach returned. He knew that if he left his brother, then he would be breaking his previous promise of playing Go Fish with him. But he had promised Dot that he would come back after finishing his game (he never promised Dot how many games he would be playing, after all). Yakko looked back at Dot. His sister was tapping her foot impatiently, waiting for an answer.
"Alright," he sighed, "I guess I can help do your makeup now."
Dot smiled when she heard this. Yakko, still feeling guilty, got up from Wakko's bed and started to walk towards the door to leave, with Dot walking behind him.
"Now wait a minute!" Wakko argued, causing Yakko to stop in his tracks. "This doesn't sound fair to me! You just got here, Yakko!"
Yakko frowned. He stared down at the floor as he rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly.
"I know, but I promised your sister-" he started to explain, but his younger brother cut him off.
"Yeah, yeah, yeah! Because it's always what SHE wants to do!" Wakko proclaimed, having gotten up from his bed and fuming towards him. "You're only spending time with her because you feel guilty!"
Yakko clenched his stomach. Now THAT was a punch to the gut. As much as he hated to admit it, his brother was right: he did feel guilty. He never wanted to upset either of his siblings; all he wanted to do was spend a little time with them one on one, doing what they enjoyed doing. He never thought that he would stir up a fight by trying to do something nice for his siblings.
"Well, I- gee, I dunno," Stammered Yakko. Sweat started to trickle down his forehead and down under his neck.
"He's my brother too, Wakko!" Great, Dot had now entered the ring.
"You're hogging him!" Wakko hissed, growling at Dot.
"At least Yakko will actually let me touch his face!" Dot retorted. "You never spared me any time!"
"Well some of us aren't into your girly stuff!" Taunted Wakko.
"Oh, really? Because you sure could use a little hairspray to make you smell less like a wet dog!" Dot ridiculed him.
Yakko's eyes darted left and right as he observed his sibling's argument from a distance. Wakko and Dot were standing face to face with each other, throwing insults and sharing rude remarks with each other. To think that what had started out as well-intended quality time had turned into a verbal sparring match between the two younger siblings. Yakko felt a terrible migraine form, he started to hear a ringing noise in his ear. He felt as if the whole world was pressing down at him, crushing him to pieces.
At last, Yakko finally snapped.
"QUIET!"
Immediately, Wakko and Dot stopped their bickering, their heads turning in his direction. Yakko panted, exasperated, having just let all of the stress that he had kept bottled up inside up to this point. He couldn't believe himself. He thought that he was stronger than this. His sibling's looked on, terrified.
"All I wanted to do was have a little fun with you guys! But now, I realize that neither of you are capable of that without you two ARGUING!!"
"But Yakko-" Wakko spoke up, but was cut off.
"No- No," Yakko said, looking crazed, "I don't wanna hang out with either one of you right now. I'm done! Leave me alone!"
Yakko felt his hands shaking, his eyes beginning to water. He winced, no longer able to hold back tears. He covered his hands over his eyes and ran out of his bedroom, not even caring that his siblings were staring at him as he broke down.
He was in the bathroom, rubbing a soapy washcloth across his face. Yakko was determined to wipe every inch of makeup off his face, leaving nothing behind. Now that he was done with spending time with his siblings for the day, there was no need to wear the makeup any longer. One thing was for sure: this would be the last time ever that he would allow his sister to give him a makeover.
After a solid minute of scrubbing, he released the washcloth from his face. He stared at himself in the mirror for a long time, observing his eyes, his nose, his mouth, and noticing how his fur was now frizzy from being soaked with water and tears. He was himself again. He felt like himself again, yet he was still unhappy with himself. With a sigh, he left the bathroom and trudged down the hallway to his bedroom, slamming the door behind him. He climbed onto his bed, plopping his head face first onto his pillow, laying flat on his belly. He inhaled, breathing in a good amount of air into his lungs, before letting out a loud scream into his pillow, deafening the pillow's ears with his long, pathetic cry.
It was almost extraordinary just how much things have escalated in a short period of time. One moment, Yakko was getting a makeover, the next moment, he was playing cards with his younger brother, and then back to Dot, and then an argument started that quickly spiraled things out of control. He felt angry inside remembering the insults Wakko and Dot had used to describe each other, how they were arguing over him and who he wanted to spend time with more. It was like they were each trying to persuade him onto their side, competing against each other, competing for him.
Yakko knew deep down that his siblings were being petty at that moment, but part of him wondered if it was his fault that things got as bad as they did. Wakko and Dot each wanted to do two different things that shared no connection to each other, and asked him to choose which activity was better. Looking back, Yakko regretted not bringing up an idea of his own. He just couldn't pluck up enough courage to tell his two desperate siblings the dreaded N word, that word being no. And now, he was paying the price for his stupidity.
Suddenly, he heard a knock on his bedroom door. Yakko looked up from his pillow to see his door cracked open slightly. Dot was sticking her head through the opening. Her eyebrows had lowered over her eyes, sadness and guilt present in her facial features.
"May I come in?" She asked.
Yakko said nothing at first. He lowered his eyebrows, his expression neutral. He knew that Dot wanted to talk to him about what happened, but he wasn't sure if he wanted to speak to anybody right now, having not completely calmed down from earlier.
Another head poked through the door, this head being Wakko.
"We're not going to argue again, we promise," he told him.
Yakko blinked. Apparently, his siblings had already made up, which was astounding to him, as it usually took much longer for his younger siblings to move on after a fight. Perhaps him yelling at them made them see sense. Perhaps he was right after all. Perhaps he should forgive too.
"Come here," Yakko said with a sigh.
Dot opened his door and she and Wakko entered Yakko's bedroom. Yakko sat up in a sitting position, Wakko and Dot sitting on the left and right side of him respectively. He gazed at both his siblings, noticing the worried looks they wore on their faces.
"Yakko?" Dot finally spoke up. She sighed, putting her hand on Yakko's arm. "Look, we're really sorry for the way we acted earlier."
"Yeah, we kinda spiraled out of control, and it's our fault," admitted Wakko, looking down at the floor with sorrow. "We didn't realize that we were going to hurt your feelings by fighting. We're sorry we didn't come to this realization earlier."
"Yeah. We're both really sorry," Dot apologized again, holding back a tear.
What she didn't know was that Yakko was holding back a tear of his own. He knew that his siblings felt bad by the way they looked, and the way that their eyes shifted slightly away from him when they were talking. But hearing their voices, them saying just how sorry they were, and how guilty they felt of their previous actions, was enough to make him cry. It was difficult, very difficult, actually, to admit when you were wrong. And Yakko understood this. He put his arms around both of his siblings, reeling them in closer to his body.
"Hey, it's ok, sibs. It's not your fault," Yakko told them with a frown. "I should have known that I would make you guys feel jealous by spending time with each of you separately. I should have known how lonely you would feel by me spending time with just one of you and not the other. If anyone is to blame for this mess, it's me."
"Nonsense, Yakko," Dot interrupted him, prompting a surprised look from Yakko. "You aren't to blame for this; nobody is. You had good intentions with your plan. You tried to do something that would make both me and Wakko happy."
"Yeah, and look where I ended up," Yakko said pathetically.
"Listen to me," Dot put her hands on Yakko's shoulder, her voice firm. "Yes, things may not have gone the way you originally thought they would, but you can't keep beating yourself up over it. You went through a lot of trouble in trying to make us happy, and, personally, I think your efforts were very sweet."
Yakko gazed at Dot, surprised that she was being so understanding. He honestly didn't believe that his little sister would be so content after everything he has done.
"You really think so," he asked, a smile started to emerge.
"Of course," answered Wakko, as if it were already obvious. "I loved playing Go Fish with you, and even if it's not really your thing, you still played just to make me happy."
"Exactly," agreed Dot, "Like I said, you go out of your way to make us happy, and that is why I love you so much. I couldn't ask for anyone else to be my big brother other than you."
Yakko's eyes began to water again, not because of guilt, but of an extreme feeling of gratefulness that he felt inside him. He pulled Wakko and Dot in for a tight embrace, blushing as Wakko and Dot simultaneously gave him a kiss on the cheek.
"Thank you, sibs," he told them kindly, "I love you guys so much."
"Don't worry, Yak. We already know," Wakko laughed, "And I love you too."
"And me," Dot piped in.
Yakko's smile grew wider as he hugged his siblings. To know that his siblings thought that they couldn't ask for a better big brother than him was enough to make his heart melt. Yakko thought similarly, as he couldn't ask for better little siblings than Wakko and Dot. He didn't admit it out loud, but he needed his siblings in his life. They were the ones who brought out the best in him, the ones who comforted him through hard times, and the ones who supported him through and through. They would always have his back, just like how he did for them. It was all for one, and one for all times three.
After a few minutes of cuddling with each other, the siblings started to feel rather bored. Very bored, in fact. They were all wondering the same thing:
"What should we do now?" Yakko asked his siblings.
Wakko shrugged. "I dunno."
"Something that you want to do, Yakko," Dot said.
Yakko thought for a moment. He wasn't really sure what he wanted to do at that moment. He still didn't feel up for pranking anyone, let alone doing anything that involved leaving the water tower. It didn't take much longer for Yakko to think of something.
"Sibs. We are going to make this a sibling day," Yakko declared, putting his hand around his siblings shoulders.
Wakko and Dot smiled when they heard the idea.
"Ok. What should us siblings do, then?" Dot asked.
"Let's watch a movie," suggested Yakko.
"And order pizza," added Wakko, "With pepperoni and sausage."
"And olives," Dot suggested.
"And peppers!" Wakko exclaimed. He rubbed his belly. "Man, I'm hungry already," he drawled.
Yakko laughed. "Alright, alright. We can order pizza," he said, "Now we have to decide on a movie."
"How about Wakko's Wish?" Requested Wakko. "I like that movie."
"Because your name is in the title," Dot remarked with a chuckle.
After Wakko's Wish was mentioned, Yakko snapped his finger as his mind was struck with an idea.
"I know! Let's watch Jurassic Park. It's Steven's favorite," said Yakko.
"Sure," Dot agreed.
"Sounds good to me," Wakko said.
Yakko smiled, looking at both of his siblings. He was glad to see smiles on both Wakko and Dot's faces. Dot was right when she said that his primary goal in life was to make her and her brother happy. He couldn't stand seeing his younger siblings feeling sad. If there was anything that Yakko learned today, it's that all three Warner siblings felt their happiest when they were together. Simple as that.
"Well? What are we waiting for? Let's have some fun!" Yakko said cheerfully.
And with that, the three siblings ran out of Yakko's bedroom with smiles on their faces, awaiting the opportunity to spend quality time with each other as siblings. For Yakko, getting to spend time with his younger siblings was all he could ever ask for.
Author's note: I'd like to give a shout out to Animaniacs artist Clown Noses And Other Body Parts For Sale on Twitter. I saw a fanart from them a long time ago of Dot applying makeup to Yakko's face. I always wanted to write a story involving Dot giving her brother a makeover, and this story seemed to be the perfect occasion for something like it.
Please check out their art on Twitter. They are extremely talented at what they do, and don't have enough followers in my opinion.
