Waking up I couldn't shake the feeling òf uneasiness around me. I wasn't sure what was wrong but I tended to trust my gut in these situations.
I began to get ready for the day by putting on my favorite pair of jeans and a green t-shirt. Wasn't exactly expecting to do anything today so I dressed a bit more casually than I normally would.
Walking to the bathroom to brush my teeth I couldn't believe what I saw in the mirror. None of the imperfections that marred my face as a result of Total Drama Action were there. At first I attributed it to the new skincare routine I had been trying but I looked younger all-around. Best not to look a gift horse in the mouth however.
After finishing up my morning routine I turn on my phone to respond to some people I had left on read the previous night.
"What the hell?"
My phone had the date as 2007... There was no way. Someone was totally playing a prank on me. But nobody had been in my house recently... It was probably a phone bug. I mean there's no way I went back in time eight years. Just then I hear a knock on my front door.
"Justin are you there? We need to take you to set."
Looking through the peephole of my apartment I see a man in a black business suit and some sick shades. I didn't think I had a fashion shoot scheduled today but maybe you were misremembering. Seeing as I was already ready for the the day I walked outside and into the man's car. I asked him questions about where the shoot location was but he remained eerily silent about the whole thing. About an hour later we had arrived to a shipyard.
I boarded the ship unsure of what I would be modeling. A captain maybe? Imagine my surprise when the ship started moving.
Asking around most people wouldn't respond to me and only through eavesdropping did I hear the words "Wawankwa" mumbled. Trent had told me that the island was being reconstructed a while ago but I was unsure of why I was going there. Maybe to advertise the new season? But why don't I remember setting this up? I no longer had an agent after a rough confrontation so I did all of my business myself.
When I saw the island come into view I was rather neutral. I hadn't had the same terrible experience on it as others had, my resentment of Total Drama came more from Action than the first season.
What shocked me however was seeing several of the old contestants on the dock as well, seeming just as young as me. What. The. Fuck.
And that's the first chapter in the books boys. Hope I captured an older, mature, Justin's personality well. He's still a little vain but definitely not as much as he was in season two. Hope you all enjoyed the chapter! A little shorter than normal but I wanted to get to the actual season.
