Francesca had done it. She worked hard and completed a 4 year degree in 2 and was in the top of her class. She started immediately putting out applications for jobs all over the world. Anything to get away from Macon. She had heard back from them all except the one she desired most. Right now she was sitting in the library doing an online survey for Kaiba Corp. "Francesca" came a voice and she smiled "we're all going to get drinks tonight to celebrate before graduation. You wanna come?" The voice plopped down beside her, and Francesca met the gaze of her 23 year old classmate Emalyn.

"I can't," she said sadly. "Macon has me on a tight leash with the wedding coming up." Her computer chimed "New Hire Offer Kaiba Corporation". "OH MY GOD" she exclaimed as she opened the email. She had gotten the job. She was almost free. "Change of plans Emalyn, I would love to go out with you guys tonight."

Francesca smiled in excitement as she got into the car with Macon. She hadn't stopped smiling since she had read the on-boarding email. She met him in the middle for the customary and expected hello kiss. But today her stomach didn't turn, she deepened the kiss placing her hands on both sides of his face, practically climbing into his lap. For the first time in 5 years she felt happy. "Well hello to you, too beautiful." He said as he pulled away from her. He brought his hand up to cup her face gently. "I would ask how your day was, but I'm guessing I know." He chuckled.

"Absolutely amazing." She replied as he removed his hand and pulled the car into the busy New Orleans traffic. "I got invited to go out with some girls from class tonight. Kinda a last hurrah before graduation." She looked over at him, poking out her bottom lip. "Try to see it like a bachelorette party. Before I am an old married lady" She gave him a sly wink as she put her hand on his thigh.

"Whatever happened today needs to happen every day." He said entwining their fingers. "Yes, my love, you can go tonight. One last hurrah before our wedding next month." His eyes took on a dark lecherous look as he glanced at her. But she chose not to notice as there would never be a wedding.

At eight pm she met with Emalyn and some others from her class. They all walked Bourbon Street looking for a crowded bar. Francesca had stopped at a small boutique and bought a more stylish and club appropriate dress. If Macon had seen her in the skin tight red fabric he would have been furious. The dress showed more cleavage than she had ever shown and was shorter than she had ever worn barely covering her butt. She had kept her black heels that made her six inches taller. Her hair stayed up in the high tight bun she always wore.

The music in the bar was loud and her heart pounded in her chest but she was enjoying herself. The girls did a shot of tequila and then hit the dance floor. The zydeco music ran through her and she smiled. She hadn't heard live music since Macon had come into the picture and she was fully enjoying herself. The music flowed through her like it had never before. She was getting warm from all of the bodies around so she decided to get some air. She found Emalyn and told her that she would meet up with them later and walked outside.

The street was teeming with people, as usual. The noise and the lights reminded her of what she was missing and why she couldn't wait to leave. She was trapped and smothered by Macon. While he professed to love her he only loved to control her. It was true he had never abused her per se, he did cause her to be miserable. She sighed as the cool night air rushed over her skin. It felt nice to be out, she had missed the most fun years of her life by being tied to Macon. Saturday nights with friends, bonfires, moonlight swims, dances. She had missed both of her proms, she had missed going with Malachi and dancing the night away with him. She sniffed, Malachi had been her love and her best friend. But she had seen him just a few weeks after everything had happened and he refused to look at her. Claiming that she had shattered his heart and that he hated her. He didn't know that he had been the one to shatter hers.

She walked until she saw a sign that said "Karaoke" and she went inside. The bar was almost empty and she took a seat at the back in an empty booth. She had come to party with girls she didn't know well and while it seems they enjoyed her company, she was enjoying being alone. She fought the urge to sign up for the karaoke, as much as she loved to sing she was horribly out of practice as Macon hadn't allowed her to sing anything since he moved in. She couldn't even sing along to the radio as he deemed music a waste of time.

She stayed in the bar for about an hour listening to the people destroy good songs, then left. It was close to time to get home, if she wasn't home by midnight Macon would be blowing her up. She walked over to the paid parking lot where she had parked Macon's car and waited for the attendant to come take her ticket.

"Thank you" she said, walking to the waiting car. The attendant shut the door as she slid in. The drive back home was uneventful. She pulled into a gas station and changed into the demure pink dress that Macon had lay out for her that morning. Throwing the red one in the trash outside so that it would not be discovered.

Pulling into her driveway she saw that the time was 11:59. Macon would surely be asleep and she might actually get a night of peace. She was wrong. Walking into the dark house she could see the light on under her bedroom door. She sighed. Turning she locked the front door back and walked towards the bedroom.

Macon was wide awake sitting on her side of the bed in his underwear. He looked at her when she walked in and grinned. "There's my girl," he said as she turned and closed the door. He stood and walked to her slowly like a prowling animal. Coming up to her he backed her into the door and placed both of his hands on the wall beside her head and using his body he pinned her there. "Did you have fun with your friends dancing and drinking while the men watched and fawned over your body and bought you drink after drink, while grinding their bodies into yours?" His breath smelled of alcohol. He buried his head in her neck, kissing her and gently biting. Her body was betraying her as waves of pleasure shot through her.

"I only had 1 drink, and I bought it" she gasped as he moved her from the wall to get at the zipper of her dress. He pulled the fabric away from her skin and looked down to admire her in just her bra and panties. "Macon" she breathed as he continued his roaming on her body, his hands touching her all over. "Macon, please" she begged as her eyes welled up with tears. He stopped as he heard her voice break. "I promise there were no men buying me drinks, no men dancing with me. No men period." She cried out.

"I just love your body, " he groaned, as he pushed his body harder into her, she could feel his erection pushing against her stomach. He continued his onslaught on her neck, biting her, then he went lower biting her collar bone, then her chest.

"Macon please stop," she cried hysterically, bringing her fists up and trying to push him off of her.

"Go shower and come to bed." He pulled away from her and went to his side to lie down and wait on her.

He had almost lost control, it was getting harder and harder to control himself around her. Especially with the wedding getting closer. He loved her and wanted nothing more than for her to love him in return. He turned to the bathroom door as she walked out in a pair of black leggings and a pink shirt. It was more clothes than she had worn to bed since she was 18. Something to put distance between them. She lay on the queen sized bed far away from him with her back to him. She curled herself into the fetal position and he could see her visibly shaking, her body racked with sobs. "I love you" Macon said softly to her back as he reached for her. "Do you think you could ever come to love me?"

"No" came the choking sob. Macon pulled away with anger and sadness, but mostly anger. He had given her everything in the 5 years they had their arrangement. Even putting off the wedding for a year so that she could finish school. He had no idea why she wanted to go to school anyway. After they were married she would be a housewife anyway. No wife of his would have a job.

He was seething with anger, his body felt like it was on fire and he was not going to be able to rest with her beside him. He promptly kicked off the comforter and stormed out of the room slamming the door.

It had been two weeks since she had told Macon that she could never love him, and he had been hostile to her ever since. He had never been violent with her, just hostile and distant. While this allowed her to have more freedom, it made him more unpredictable. Their wedding was less than a week away and her window was closing.

The library was the only place she could get any peace and she snuck away there as often as she could. While there she responded to emails from the VP of personnel for Kaiba Corp. He had set her up with an apartment that KC owned in Domino City Japan. She also had a flight leaving for Japan the following day. Getting to the airport would be the fun part, she couldn't raise suspicion. But she had a plan
