It had been a week since the Pokémon World had heard of the break-up, between Ash and Leaf. At the Hearthome City Pokémon Centre, Gary, Tracey, Trip and Max were talking about how Ash was coping with the break-up.

"It's such a shame." Tracey sighed sadly. "Those two seemed so perfect for each other, and Leaf instantly decided to call off the relationship like nothing. I sure hope Ash is taking this okay, this has to be rough for him."

Trip just scoffed and rolled his eyes.

"Personally I think they weren't perfect." He said. "Leaf, expected so much from Ash, and when he couldn't give it, she got cross and threatened him she'd leave. I believe that Ash could've found someone much better than Leaf."

Suddenly Gary started to speak up.

"It still doesn't make a difference Trip." Gary said. "Ash was always there for Leaf whenever she had the worst days or nights."

Then Gary started to remember something he saw two weeks prior to the incident. He was asleep in the Pokémon Centre at Lake Equity. He then heard the sound of footsteps before opening his eyes and seeing Ash leaving.

"Like two weeks ago, Ash left the Pokémon Centre at Lake Equity, to go comfort Leaf, because she was upset about her work." Gary said.

Gary watched Ash leave and head to the Pokémon Centre at Snowpoint City.

Ash soon arrived at the Pokemon Centre in Snowpoint City, where Leaf was in the lobby, looking at her feet in sadness. Ash sat down next to her and after some comforting words, Leaf felt much better and smiled at Ash.

"Thanks Ashy!" Leaf smiled.

"No problem, Leafy!" Ash replied.

"But now I've noticed that Ash has been late this entire week with his duties." Gary said, before turning to Max. "Max, why is Ash late with his jobs? I deserve an explanation!"

Poor Max had an expression of sadness that no one had ever seen him have before. He was down in the dumps and about to cry.

"Ash isn't doing his normal duties, it's Bonnie." Max said. "She and I have been doing his jobs along with ours, he's been in his room the entire week. This break-up has gotten to him very seriously! He's been crying in his room all night, wishing Leaf would take him back, and I'm really worried for my idol."

Now Trip was the one feeling sorry for Ash, he couldn't believe that Ash was suffering so severely.

"Wait, so Ash has been in his room the entire time?" Trip asked worriedly. "But what does he do all day then?"

"He mostly looks out the window to watch Rosa and Hilda play and just cries out loud and sad, and he keeps repeating Leaf's name." Max explained. "At night it's even worse, he keeps getting nightmares of something, but I don't know what they are."

Even Gary was now worried for Ash.

"Oh dear, I sure Ash will be okay soon." Gary said.

"So do I." A voice came.

There, coming in right next to Gary on her Tyrantrum, was Bonnie, who was ten minutes late with a delivery of food for the Pokémon Centre. She was very exhausted.

"Bonnie, you're late by ten minutes." Gary said. "What is the reason?"

"Oh, I'm so sorry about the delay Gary!" Bonnie panted out of breath. "But I've just found out something about Ash's depressing heartbreak!"

Bonnie then remembered something she had seen and heard while she was in Shalour City. She heard talking and looked over to see Calem was talking to Damian and Cross.

"It was all because of Calem." Bonnie explained over the flashback. "I was in Shalour City earlier. I was listening to him talking to Damian and Cross, about how he knew that Leaf was hiding behind the corner and intended for Ash to punch him and have Pikachu threaten him."

Calem told both Trainers that his plan was now successful and that Ash wouldn't be in his way anymore. Bonnie was cross about what she heard, and hurried off to tell her friends.

"So now with him depressed, Calem said that he could get away with anything he wanted." Bonnie said.

The Trainers couldn't believe what they heard. They were really cross that Calem would go that low to ruin both Ash and Leaf's relationship.

"Disgraceful!" Gary shouted angrily.

"Disgusting!" Trip added furiously.

"Despicable!" Tracey finished crossly.

All Max could do was stare at his feet.

Just then Charles Goodshow stepped out of the Pokémon Centre and he wasn't happy.

"Bonnie, you're ten minutes late!" Charles Goodshow said. "I need an explanation immediately!"

"I'm terribly sorry Mr.Goodshow." Bonnie apologised. "But as you know about Ash's situation, it's caused both me and Max a lot of stress."

"What for?" Charles Goodshow asked.

"Ever since the heartbreak, he's been in his room the entire time." Bonnie said.

"Hmm, I see." Charles Goodshow said.

"There's more Mr.Goodshow." Gary said, as Charles Goodshow turned to him. "Bonnie told us that it was Calem who ruined their relationship."

"That no good Trainer!" Charles Goodshow said. "I should've known this would happen."

Charles Goodshow started thinking of what to do. He had never dealt with anything like this before, but Calem was currently in Lateral Town in the Galar Region.

Then Delia Ketchum came out of the Pokémon Centre and she had heard everything. She was full of tears at hearing her son was suffering so much.

"Bonnie, I have an idea." Delia said. "Take me and Mr.Goodshow to Ash immediately! I need to talk to him myself."

"Yes, please take us to him at once Bonnie." Charles Goodshow said.

"Hop on Mr.Goodshow and Mrs.Ketchum!" Bonnie said. "I'll take you both there with my Pokémon."

And Chrales Goodshow and Delia Ketchum climbed onto Bonnie's Tyrantrum.

"I really hope this works." And with that Bonnie set off.

"As do I, Bonnie." Gary said. "As do I."

Bonnie started making her way through the Viridian Forest, with Charles Goodshow and Delia Ketchum with her.

"Are you both sure you can help?" Bonnie asked, as they made their way through the forest. "'Cause Max and I have been trying, but we just can't get through to him."

"Don't you worry Bonnie." Charles Goodshow said. "I'm sure Delia and I can try our best."

"I know that my son will at least talk to me." Delia said. "I'm sure we can get through to him."

Bonnie soon arrived at Pallet Town, as she saw Leaf with her Meganieum, and gave her a dirty look. Bonnie had Tyrantrum stop by Professor Oak's Lab, not saying a word to Leaf.

"Um, hi Bonnie." Leaf greeted awkwardly. "How's your day today?"

Bonnie didn't say a word, she was too cross to speak to her, causing Leaf to be cross as well.

"You know it's kinda rude to ignore someone when they ask you a question!" Leaf snapped.

"It's also rude not to believe someone who's always had your back!" Bonnie shot back.

"Dedenne!"

Charles Goodshow and Delia Ketchum had hopped off Bonnie's Tyrantrum and walked up to the other side of the lab to see Ash in the Ketchum Residence.

"Mr.Goodshow, can you please explain to Bonnie that it's rather rude too-" But before Leaf could finish her sentence, she noticed that Charles Goodshow or Mrs.Ketchum weren't listening. "Where are they going?" That was when she got her answer.

There in the Ketchum Residence was a really sad and lonely Ash, looking even bluer than the sky.

"Shake a Pokémon Ash." Charles Goodshow said, as he and Delia arrived at Ash's window. "Why are you still in your house? You have work to be done."

"Well Mr.Goodshow." Ash said sadly. "I've been feeling down in the dumps all week."

"About what honey?" Delia asked her son. "Is it about the break-up?"

"It's not just the break-up Mom." Ash said. "I've been having these really bad nightmares all week, and I'm really scared of them."

"Well then Ash." Charles Goodshow said. "Go on and tell us the nightmare, it'll be just you, your mother and me."

"Very well Mr.Goodshow." Ash said. "It goes like this." And this was the nightmare that Ash told.
