This is a continuation of what happened in chapter 1. Chapter 2, a more wordy chapter,(just noticed chapter 1 was really short lmao.), with a bit more action than the first. If you have thumbs, scroll down for the story…

Chapter 2: Rough first day

Sarknight's POV

Being the first student to find the assembly hall,(apparently the map was for a school in the Orre region), naturally I started exploring the room. The room is big, with a stage in the middle and steps leading up to it, no doubt for talks and other future boring lectures that might happen someday, there were rows and rows of empty seats, with 4 seats in every row. Scanning the room, I immediately rushed to a spot which is perfect for 3 reasons; 1) I can pretend to listen to whatever is being said and instead do anything else, 2) Hydro can sit next to me while we place our bags on the other two empty seats and 3) I can feel the full blast of the air conditioning and see the defeat on Hydro's face, 'cause he has to get me lunch. Pulling my phone out from my bag, I texted Hydro where exactly I was sitting and slowly drifted to sleep on the comfortable chair, in the air-conditioned room….*snoooore*

Cyber's POV

After tracking down Soleil, who somehow found himself on the rooftop of the building in less than 2 minutes, we both eventually made it to the school hall. By the time we got there, the whole hall was filled with throngs of people, the only two empty spots were behind a Sableye and an Arbok. Naturally, we took those two seats. "Gah, how was the map so wrong?! I literally walked through 3 girl's bathrooms just to get to where the assembly hall was supposed to be!" Soleil fumed. I took the map from him, looked at it and sighed, apparently the maps that every freshmen were given before the first day of school were for the Orre region instead, and somehow, Soleil got an accurate map for this school, he just couldn't read it and got himself hopelessly lost. "I dunno man, but next time, don't be a freak and stick your head in 3 girl's bathrooms just cause you want a girlfriend that much." I joked. "I may be desperate, but I'm not that desperate." Soleil grumbled, blushing furiously. Suddenly, the Principal, a Mewtwo, teleported onto the stage.

"Good morning students and welcome to Hyper Training Academy!"

Almost as if on cue, everyone started cheering and clapping.

"Now, I'd like to start off by saying…."

At that point, I activated Spotify in my mind and started listening to "Overdose by Natori", drowning out everyone around me, even Soleil who wanted to talk to me and turning my eyes sky blue. The chill vibes of the song, combined with Natori's sexy voice, put me in a state of pure bliss, so much so that I was pretty much oblivious to everything around me, until Principal Mewtwo floated off the stage, and 3 seniors in cheerleading outfits, a Hatterene, a Lopunny and a Meowscarada walked up onto the stage. "Cyber! CYBER! EARTH TO CY-" "Alright alright I get it! Stop shaking me like a rag doll you simp!" I snapped, pausing Spotify which reverted my eye colour to normal before listening to what the 3 cheerleaders had to say.

All 3 of them: "Heeey ya'll! We're Team Charm! Mage the Hatterene, Mimi the Lopunny and Nyami the Meowscarada! "

Immediately, a huge about of squeals and cheering erupted from the sophomores to the seniors, with even someone saying, "Marry me!" Weirdo.

All 3 of them: "Anyway, since this is the first day of school, we're gonna announce what's gonna happen today! The new freshmen are going to….going to….."

Soleil drummed his fingers on the armrest of his chair,

Mimi: " Compete in 5 Pokeathlon Events!"

Mage: "…events!"

Nyami: "…what, you thought it was going to be a normal school day?" (Well, yes)

The freshmen were silent, while the rest of the school applauded.

Mimi: "The winner gets…."

Mage: "….gets….."

Nyami: "A whole lotta sweating?( No, Nyami! Stick to the script!)

Mimi: " Free meals for a whole week!"

Mage: "…Hooray!"

Nyami : " Aww, not for the year?" (Sheesh, the school would be broke by then!)

Immediately someone shouted, " YES! MY WALLET'S SAFE!"

Sarknight's POV

I woke up with a start. Apparently I must have missed a lot, because Hydro was clearly jumping for joy. I read his mind and immediately found out everything that they just said. One of the perks of being a Psychic-type. *Yaaawn* "Oh you're awake!" Hydro exclaimed. "Yeah yeah, I get it, your wallet's safe…" Hydro: " Yesss!" ,"…Only if you win." I grinned maliciously. Hydro's face fell. Yep, can't wait to get that free lunch. I thought gleefully, happily imagining all the food I'll eat once I find out the menu.

Mimi: " Also, we'll be downloading dorm room keys to each and every one of your phones. Each room can only have 2 people, so pick wisely!"

Mage: " …Nyami, why won't you be my roommate?"

Nyami: "…'Cause your room doesn't have a captive audience for me to play." (Nyami, stop flirting! -)

All 3 of them: " Alright that's it for today, until next time, STAAAY CHARMING! 3" they smiled, disappearing in a poof of hearts.

Immediately, my phone chimed. I got the e-key to my dorm. I tapped "Hydro" under "roommate" and immediately a copy of my key got sent to him. " I GOTTA WIN!" Hydro immediately declared, gliding out of the hall. "Hydro! Wait!" I called after him, floating after him as fast as I could. "We need to get ready first….!"

10 minutes later…

After getting ready for the Pokeathlon, the freshmen met in the gigantic Pokeathlon dome. It was humongous; each part of the stage being divided into 10 different parts, for each of the 10 events. "Everybody, please head to the Hurdle Dash venue right now!" Team Charm announced. It seems like they would be reporting the play-by-play. While stretching at Hurdle Dash A's starting line, which only had 3 people, a Gallade, whose name was Strike, tried to telepathically flirt with me.

Strike:"Hey babe, after this do you wanna hang out in my dorm room later?"

Sarknight: " Bruh, I'm male"

Strike: "…I'll crush you, you perv"

How did I come off as female? My body wasn't that delicate, I mean I do work out. There are some muscles that clearly show my masculinity. Sheesh, it didn't matter anyway, as the race was about to start. The goal was to get to the finish line first while jumping over hurdles.

All 3 of them: "On your marks…..Get set….GO!"

Everyone took off, Strike was clearly trying to pass me but I was faster, leaping over hurdles with relative ease and agility while he, seeing how much grace I got, tried to use speed as a means to jump over hurdles quicker, dashing faster and jumping further. It was neck-and-neck, both of us fighting for 1st when suddenly Strike tripped over his last hurdle as soon as I leaped over mine, and reached the finish line.

Mimi: "WOW! Sarknight the Gardevoir is currently leading, with Lucky the Togetic and Soleil the Heliolisk tied for second!"

Mage: "…I'm rooting for Sarknight!"

Nyami: " I can't wait for this to be over…"(Shh, don't say that!)

The next was Ring Drop, basically knocking the opponents off the stage with either tackles or jumps, which was also relatively easy, with me pirouetting( hey, I'm a Gardevoir, Gardevoirs pirouette) over every one of my opponent's reckless tackles, sometimes either landing on them by accident, still scoring points, or they tackle themselves off the edge.

The one after that was Circle Push, its objective is to stay in the circle for as long as possible while pushing others out, but I wasn't so lucky. Despite my high endurance coming into play, people managed to find a workaround to this due to my relatively light body, I did score pretty high, but I was knocked out early on in the match, letting a Shuckle overtake Lucky for 2nd place, tying with a now increasingly determined Hydro.

The second last event was Snow Throw, its objective is to throw snowballs at every pokemon on the opposing team, where the rankings changed significantly; Hydro managed to snipe everyone, including the ones on his team, pushing him in 1st place while I'm in 5th place, as I got hit multiple times by him, Strike and a random Unfezant and Togekiss duo, who both had Super Luck as their Ability.

The final event was Relay Race, where the objective is to run as many laps as possible in the given time. The winner for this round was really unexpected. It was a Wurmple being chased by multiple Bird Pokemon, running a total of 36 rounds before collapsing behind an Electrode. It knocked Hydro down to 5th place while I rose to 3rd, doing 19 rounds is no slouch.

Poor Wurmple was so grateful to be alive that he gave his reward to Hydro, who cried out of relief, which was fortunate because now its lunchtime and I am starving.

End of chapter 2

Most of this was Sarknight though, the next chapter will change that, finally bringing the two main characters together. Until next time!
