It was a very dark and cloudy night in the streets of Fuchsia City before the Cycle Bridge, and Ash was running smoothly through the quiet streets, but he wasn't his happy cheerful self. He was trying to think of a way to convince Leaf that he wasn't the bad guy.

As Ash walked deep in thought with only his torch illuminating the night's darkness, he began running across the Cycle Bridge and began heading towards Celadon City.

"I just don't understand." Ash said, as he walked along the path. "How can I find a way to convince Leaf that I'm not the bad guy here? I really wish there was a way."

As Ash continued along there was only silence save for the occasional Noctowl's hoot hoot and the Lycanroc calls of the woods. Ash rounded a corner and then he gasped at who was waiting for him.

"AH! C-C-C-C-Calem!" Ash stuttered in shock.

Calem was there with his Trevournent and his Meowstic Male. Calem's Trevournent raised one of its arms and clutched its fist.

"Hello Ash." Calem said. "Welcome. Me and my new friend are so happy to meet you."

"New friend?" Ash asked, confused. "What are you talking about-" As Ash looked over his anger was replaced by shock. "Leaf?"

And it was Leaf as she walked up and stopped right next to Calem, wrapping her arm around his.

"Hello there Ash." Leaf said.

"What! I don't get it!" Ash gasped. "I thought I was your special someone!"

"Not anymore you aren't!" Leaf said. "I've decided that you're no longer a use to me. You're just a clueless little kid Trainer, who has no idea what real girls really want!" Leaf then looked at Calem. "But now that I'm done talking, Calem babe, would you kindly get rid of this pest?"

"It will be my honour babe!" Calem said, as they hopped on Meganium. "Trevournent grab the brat!"

Trevournent then grabbed Ash with his hands and started running back to the Cycle Bridge.

"AH!" Ash cried, as he was now helpless.

"Wait!" Ash cried, seeing Meowstic tying him to a skateboard and now Calem was smirking. "What are you doing, Calem?!"

"Something that I should've done a long time ago!" Calem said darkly.

"Wh-WHAT!" Ash cried as they neared the Cycle Bridge.

Then Trevournent and Meganium stopped, but Ash went on with all the momentum from the pushing.

"Farewell Ashy-boy!" Calem said, and cackled evily.

"WHAT!" Ash gasped, before realising he was heading for the broken part of the Cycle Bridge. "No! No! No! NNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!" Ash cried, before the skateboard fell off the bridge and he splashed into the sea.

"And, and that's what happened Mr.Goodshow and Mom!" Tears were now flowing from Ash's eyes. He was really scared that the nightmare would be real.

Charles Goodshow and Delia Ketchum couldn't say a word, they were both in deep shock after hearing Ash's nightmare, as Delia hugged her son to try and comfort him.

Bonnie couldn't believe what she heard either. She was even about to cry. Hearing Ash's nightmare made her even more worried for her idol.

All was silent in Pallet Town.

"HOLD UP!" Leaf shouted. "Sorry to say this Ash! You are full of nothing but excuses! Stop making yourself the victim here! I saw you punch Calem and I heard you were threatening him with Pikachu! You want to make it seem like he was being a bully, and now you're here making up pathetic stories about me falling for Calem! When are you gonna stop this childish nonsense!?"

Now Bonnie's expression had gone from sad to mad. She couldn't believe that Leaf had the nerve to say that Ash's nightmare was nothing but a story to claim that he was the victim, especially when he was still in emotional pain from the break-up.

"You know what Leaf?" Ash asked, as his mother released him from her hug. "You're right. I am sorry." Ash then stepped out of his room and yelled. "I'm sorry that you're nothing but a delusional sorry excuse of a Pokémon Trainer! Calem was making you see an act on a false accusation, that he knew you would believe him! So do us all a favour! WAKE UP FROM YOUR LITTLE FANTASY LAND AND YOUR THICK HEAD OUT OF THE SKY!"

Bonnie was shocked from hearing Ash's outburst. She had never heard that come from the World Coronation Series Champion.

"Uh, I think it's best that I stay out of this." Bonnie said. "This could get messy."

"You put this on yourself Ash!" Leaf shouted. "It's not my fault that you punched and had Pikachu threaten him! You could've handled the situation without force! But you didn't and unless anyone else was there to see you punch Calem for a reason, then you should STAY QUIET! LIKE THE LITTLE POKÉMON TRAINER THAT YOU ARE!" And with that Leaf hopped onto her Meganium and she rode away.

All Ash could do was watch her leave, as he looked down at his feet and started to cry again.

Charles Goodshow and Delia Ketchum stepped in front of him.

"Now Ash, your mother and I understand that this situation has caused you a lot of pain and stress." Charles Goodshow said. "So tomorrow, I'm giving you a day off and Richie will do your jobs while you recover from this drama between you and Leaf."

"Thank you Mr.Goodshow." Ash cried.

"Now, now, Ash, everything's going to be okay." Delia said. "Sooner or later you'll see that Leaf is not the right girl for you. So you don't need to be so sad about it"

"Okay Mom." Ash said meekly.

"That's my Pokémon Trainer." Delia said.

And Charles Goodshow and Delia Ketchum left back to Bonnie to head back to Hearthome City. As soon as Leaf left, there coming to the post office was Max on his Mightyena's back, he was doing the mail run.

"Hey Bonnie." Max called out to the girl. "How'd it all go with Ash, Mr.Goodshow and Delia?"

"Not too well I'm afraid Max." Bonnie said. "Leaf was here a minute ago, and called Ash's nightmare nothing but lies and how he's putting himself as the victim."

"You're kidding!" Max gasped.

"I wish I was Max." Bonnie said. "But it's true. Even Ash had an outburst."

Now Max was cross of Leaf for saying that Ash was acting the victim, when he really was the victim.

"That's it!" Max snapped. "I've had just about enough of that brown eyed and brown haired selfish Pokémon Trainer! The next time I see her, I'm gonna give her a piece of my mi-"

"No Max!" Bonnie cut him off.

"What?" Max inquired. "What in Arceus' name do you mean no?"

"I mean, this isn't our battle to fight." Bonnie explained. "We have to let Ash and Leaf deal with this on their own. Promise me if you see Leaf, you'll say nothing to her Max."

Max had to think about Bonnie's promise. Deep down he wanted to tell Leaf off for hurting his idol, but he also knew Bonnie was right. He shouldn't get involved with Ash and Leaf's situation. It was at that moment Max made his decision.

"Oh! All right Bonnie, I promise." Max said.

"Thank you Max." Bonnie said. "Now you'd better get going with the mail."

"All right Bonnie. I sure hope Ash can recover from this terrible heartbreak." And with that Max left on his Mightyena feeling nervous.

"I hope so too Max." Bonnie said. "I hope so too." After that, Bonnie hopped back on her Tyrantrum and the Royal Heir Pokémon walked away, with Delia and Charles Goodshow on his back.
