Din carried Grogu into his little house on Nevarro. It's late at night. Normally, Din would make Grogu walk on his own because Grogu was no longer a foundling, but a proud apprentice. The little green child had fought a battle against a dozen stormtroopers today and fallen asleep on Din's lap during their way back.
Something felt different. The light was on in the house. Din swore he turned off his light before he left three days ago. He put his hand on his blaster, ready to shoot any intruder.
"Din Djarin and Din Grogu," Bo said in a seductive voice, half-sitting-half-lying on his couch with a side lean, "You two left without saying goodbye." It was true. The Dins didn't have a proper farewell with Bo when they left Mandalore. In Din's mind, it was a "be right back". Or maybe he was trying to pretend they were not as close as they really were.
"Lady Kryze!" What's Bo doing here? Din tried to suppress the happiness in his voice. He missed her, "How long have you been waiting for us?" Had he known she was here, he would have finished his business earlier.
"Two days. Fortunately, High Magistrate Karga gave me your key," Bo fidgeted with the key in her hand, "I'm here for business." Or pleasure…
"Let me put Grogu in his bed first," Din quickly tucked Grogu in and returned to the living room.
The moment Din walked into the living room, Bo was already waiting for him at the living room doorway. She walked up to Din, stopping just an inch away. She faced Din, trying to make eye contact with his visor. "Don't worry, I'm not going to take off your helmet." She stood so close to him, her breath left condensation on Din's beskar helmet. They could feel each other's heart pounding. Bo felt the blood rushing to her face, and knew she must be blushing, "The Armorer has proposed that everyone should contribute to the repopulation of Mandalore. I've chosen you to be my procreation partner. Do you accept?"
Din didn't need to use words. His answer was already clear to Bo as his erection pressed against her inner thighs even before she asked the question. He lifted Bo up and carried her into his bedroom, remembering to lock his door on his way in. He would have kissed her if he could, but the helmet stayed on. This is the way.
Din carefully placed Bo on the bed. The moment of sexual tension turned into awkwardness. The awkwardness turned into silence. It had been a while, for both of them. Last time Din was with Xi'an, she just jumped him and rode him like a stud. And Bo was with Axe, just days before he stole her fleet and became a mercenary.
"How do you want to do this? Should I maybe get you dinner first?" He joked to ease the tension. He sat down next to her on the bed.
"What? You want some pog soup?" She laughed.
Din stood up from the bed and began taking off his armor and undersuit. Bo followed suit, still sitting on his bed. His helmet stayed on.
"You don't think your sect is a bit weird that they are okay with you stripping naked as long as you keep the helmet on?" She admired his body.
"This is the way."
After they had mutually satisfied each other's needs, Din got off Bo and laid down on the bed, both of them still trying to catch their breaths. Bo stood up from the bed and put on her undersuit.
"Are you going anywhere?" Din asked.
"Back to my ship," She put on her belt.
"You're going back to Mandalore already?" Din questioned.
"No, I'm here for the next week or two, but I won't want to intrude. I'm just going to sleep in my ship instead," Bo explained.
"It's fine. You're not intruding," Is this all business for her? If I propose, will she say yes? Din lifted the blanket and patted the empty spot, "It's a big bed."
"Are you sure?" Bo sat on the bed.
Din grabbed Bo by her waist and started spooning her. If Din would see Bo's face, he would see her blushing in embarrassment. They drifted into sleep.
The next morning, the two were woken up by Grogu who found his way into the locked room and climbed into bed with them. Bo was glad she put on her clothes last night.
Time flew and the three lived like a little family for the next few weeks. Bo and Din spent every waking and sleeping moment together. Bo thought they would grow sick of each other after spending so much time together, but it was the opposite. The thought of returning to Mandalore without the Dins felt like a drag.
Being raised as a warrior princess, Bo surprised Din and Grogu with her cooking skills. She could really get used to the lifestyle. If she kept it up, Din and Grogu might become picky eaters with trained palates.
Din woke up from one of the best sleeps of his life. He always felt so safe when Bo slept next to him. As much as Din wanted to sleep next to Bo without his helmet on, they were not married… yet. So, the helmet stayed on. Din didn't want to return to the Living Water of the Mines, for now. He just wanted to stay on Nevarro with his little clan of three for now. This is the way.
The first few times Bo and Din copulated, it meant business, but after that, the two just genuinely enjoyed each other's company and exploring each other's body.
Sometimes he dreamt of kissing Bo on the lips. Would he get a chance before she left for Mandalore?
Din put on his clothes and armor and found Bo standing at the doorway, watching Grogu playing with frogs outside. Before he could say anything—
"Great, you are awake," Bo said to Din as she sensed that he was behind her, "I was waiting for you before I take the test."
"Test?" Is this going to be over? Is Bo going back to Mandalore? After spending weeks living together as a family, Din had already intentionally forgotten the purpose of Bo's trip. Maybe she could stay a little bit longer? Or maybe he could return to Mandalore with Bo?
"I'm late, so you know what that might mean." Bo took out an electronic device from her belt, around the size of a thumb.
"What's that?" Din asked, looking over Bo's shoulder.
"I bought it at Plazir-15 when I went there to borrow some retired battle droids for the rebuilding," Bo pinched her middle finger with the device and it drew some blood.
A cheerily creepy jingle started playing and two minutes later, it blinked red three times and a robotic voice said, "Not pregnant."
"Yes," Din mumbled.
"What did you say?" Bo rolled her eyes.
"Look… I'm sorry…" Din touched Bo's shoulders from behind, "I have to be honest with you."
Bo turned around and looked at Din's emotionless helmet, "Did you not want to father my child? You should have told me earlier. I wouldn't have forced—"
"That's not what I meant," Din wrapped his arms around Bo's back and behind her knees. He picked her up and kept her close to his body, "These last few weeks had been… fun. I didn't want it to be over." He carried her into his bedroom.
"You know I'm not ovulating at the moment, right?" Bo looked at Din.
Din commanded, "Close your eyes."
Bo did as she was told. Din took off his helmet and planted a kiss on Bo's lips.
