"Janner, I'll bet you $100 dollars that your kid is a boy."

"Ha, nice try, I'm not dumb Kal."

Kal sighed.

Janner laughed. "Maybe if you did something different, I'll bet you."

Kal sat down on the couch in the family room, thinking. An idea struck him.

"I'll eat my hat if it's a girl!"

Janner considered it. "Alright, deal. And if it's a boy, then I'll pay you $100 dollars."

"Deal!"

The brothers shook hands.

*9 months later*

Janner paced his room, worried out of his mind. It had been only a couple of hours since Sara began labor, but Janner was a nervous wreck.

A knock on his door snapped him out of his thoughts. He opened the door to find Leeli standing there, beaming.

"It's a girl!"

Janner felt relief wash over him. He hugged his sister, then ran all the way to the nurses chamber. Kal and Artham were waiting for him.

"Well?" Kal asked. "Leeli wouldn't tell us the gender."

Janner suddenly remembered the deal he and Kal had made. "It's a girl."

Kal turned pale.

Artham laughed, then turned to Kal. "What's wrong?"

Janner smirked. "9 months ago, we made a deal that if it was a girl, Kal would eat his hat, or that if it was a boy, that I would have to pay him $100 dollars."

Artham burst out laughing.

Janner grinned at his brother, then went inside the nurses chamber to see Sara and the baby.

*meanwhile*

Kal sat in his room, on his bed. He stared at his hat, which sat on his nightstand. A knock on his door snapped him out of his nausea.

"Come in."

The door opened revealing Janner and his new daughter.

"Oh, hi." Kal said quietly.

"Don't you wanna meet your niece?"

"Yeah."

Janner crossed the room to his brother. He held the baby for him to see. The baby had bright blue eyes, like her mother.

"What's her name?" Kal asked.

"Kaladan."

Kal slightly smiled. "Pretty name."

Janner smiled, then looked at the hat. "You know, you don't have to eat that if you don't want to."

Kal gagged at the thought of it. "No, we made a deal. I'll do it."

"How about we call the deal off?"

"How?" Kal asked. "The only way we could do that is if we both had to pay."

Janner grinned. "And, we do."

Kal was confused, until it hit him. "SARA HAD TWINS?!"

Janner laughed. "Yes! A boy and a girl!"

Kal laughed. "It worked out in both our favor!"

"That it did." Janner replied.
