Little did anyone know that a new Trainer was being sent back to the Pokémon World, all the way from a far away land.
Sabrina was currently escorting her off her boat at Slateport City Harbour, as Winona left on her Skarmory to take a load of medical supplies to Fortree City.
"Crasher Wake!" Sabrina called. "We've got a new Trainer coming onto land!"
Crasher Wake arrived with his Floatzel. "Well, what are you waiting for? Bring her onto shore!"
"Floatzel."
The new Trainer was a female about Ash's age, she wore a red t-shirt, black biker shorts, red sneakers and had a red bandana on her head. But she had a mask hiding her face and a veil covering her head and most of her bandana.
"Well hello there lassy!" Crasher Wake greeted. "Welcome to the Pokémon World. I'm Crasher Wake, the Gym Leader of Pastoria City in the Sinnoh Region. What's your name?"
But the Trainer didn't answer back, it was Unknown if she couldn't speak or if she was a selective mute Trainer.
"Um, lassy?" Crasher Wake asked awkwardly. "Can you hear me?"
"I tried speaking to her on the boat ride here." Sabrina said. "But I think she's a selective mute Trainer."
"Selective mute?" Crasher Wake asked, confused. "What does that mean?"
As Sabrina explained to Crasher Wake about what a selective mute Trainer was, the Trainer started running away all on her own. Just as Kelly and her Grumpig arrived with a load of Pokéblocks for Ecruteak City in the Johto Region.
"Um, what are you guys talking about?" Kelly asked. "Gym Leader stuff?"
"Grumpig?"
"Oh I was just explaining to Crasher Wake about the new Trainer that's here." Sabrina said. "I think she might be a selective mute Trainer."
"What new Trainer?" Kelly asked, looking around. "Is she invisible or I just can't see her?"
Both Sabrina and Crasher Wake looked and gasped when they realised the new Trainer was gone.
"Oh she's taken off all by herself!" Crasher Wake gasped. "But she doesn't know her way around yet! I hope she doesn't get lost."
"Me too Crasher Wake." Sabrina said. "Me too."
Meanwhile Calem was on his way to the Slateport City to help out the other Trainers that worked there unload some cargo from a ship. When he saw the new Trainer riding past him and his Pyroar on a Galarian Rapidash. When he saw who it was he was furious.
"No! No!" Calem growled, as he clenched his fist. "She's back! This is the last and final time I tried to take her down! Don't worry my Pokémon, she won't last long!"
With that in mind, Calem jumped back on his Pyroar and continued to the port.
After yelling at Leaf, Ash had run away to be alone, thinking about what he did to Leaf and if he had went too far. Thoughts were spinning around into his head as he asked himself a lot of questions and hoped everything would be better, for his sake and hers. He started to think even more.
"I can't believe I did that Pikachu!" Ash said, as he continued running through the Shroomish Forest. "Why did I do that to her? I know I was angry with her, but to scream at her and yell, that wasn't me! But she doesn't understand, it's always blame you and why do you lie? AH! What do I do now, Pikachu?"
"Pika, Pi."
As Ash was approaching the top of Mount Silver, he started to think of places where he could go to be alone to clear his mind. At that moment, he knew where to go.
"Yeah, I think I'll go there." Ash said, looking down at a town. "I hope it'll be okay."
And with that Ash then walked away, all the way to Dark City to think of what to do next. As Ash and Pikachu made their way to the entrance of the abandoned city, except for the two Gyms still there, he sat down on a bench by the old Pokémon Centre where Nurse Joy had worked before needing to go find work in another Pokémon Centre. There he decided to think, looking down at the ground below him.
While Ash was alone in Dark City, Gary was coming along riding his Arcanine rushing by at fast speeds. He was taking a load of Pokémon Eggs to the Pokémon Centre in Fuchsia City where Edna and Jonothan were waiting to look at them.
"Well this pace is good, Arcanine." Gary told his Legendary Pokémon. "With this speed we'll be able to get the eggs to Fuchsia City without breaking them."
Gary's Cheerleaders cheered for him as he raced down the line on his Arcanine.
"Gary! Gary! Number one! Taking Pokémon Eggs is so much fun!" Gary's Cheerleaders cheered, riding behind in Gary's car.
Gary had to make a stop at Dark City to collect some Pokémon Eggs that were left there by accident, where he would soon meet Ash.
"Pokémon Egg Train coming through!" Gary called, as Arcanine crossed the bridge between Cianwood City and Olivine City.
At last Gary arrived in Dark City with ten minutes to spare.
"Oh yeah!" Gary cheered, as he hopped off Arcanine. "I knew you could do it, Arcanine. We're on time and with ten minutes to spare. That's how the Great Gary Oak does his jobs."
That was when Gary had caught his eye of something from the side of his eye or someone. There sitting by the old Pokémon Centre was Ash with Pikachu, who was strangely silent.
"Say girls." Gary said, turning to his cheerleaders. "You mind looking for the eggs? I need to take care of something."
"Sure thing Gary." His Cheerleaders replied, before going off to find the Pokémon Eggs.
It was at that moment that Gary decided to see if Ash was okay, so he walked up to him. Once he was at the Pokémon Centre, Gary walked right up from behind Ash to see what the matter was.
"Hello Ash." Gary said, as he sat down next to his long time Rival/oldest friend. "What's the matter?"
"Gary, I feel like I did something bad." Ash said, meekly.
"Something bad?" Gary asked. "What do you mean Ash?"
"Brock, Leaf and I were having a little meeting earlier today and Leaf kept telling Brock that I was playing the victim. That I punched and Pikachu threatened Calem for no reason." Ash said. "After hearing her say that, I got really mad and I pushed her and Pikachu lightly used Iron Tail on her cheek and I started yelling at her out of pure rage and anger, and telling her that I was finished with her drama, and then I just stormed off."
"Goodness, Ash. That doesn't sound like you at all." Gary said, before continuing. "But I understand why you reacted that way."
"You do, Gary?" Ash asked, turning to him. "How?"
"Pika?"
"Bonnie told me what really happened that day." Gary explained. "And it turns out that Calem really wanted you Leaf to watch you punch him and Pikachu threaten him so it would make you believe that you're a bad Trainer."
"But then why do I still feel like one?" Ash asked.
Gary took a deep breath and began giving Ash words of wisdom, as Ash listened very carefully.
"Ash, whenever you feel like you're a bad Pokémon Trainer or make bad decisions, that's because you believe a label that someone puts upon you." Gary explained. "I understand you were doing the right thing and standing up for Leaf. But don't let her get under your skin. If she continues to believe you're a bad Trainer, then she's not the right Trainer to be around. I know that you still care for her deep down, but it's for the best if you stay away from her."
Ash stared down at his feet as Gary's words flew into his mind, he was putting a lot of thought into what he heard from his most boastful long time Rival/old friend in the Pokémon World. Finally he responded.
"Do you think I'm a really great Pokémon Trainer, Gary?" Ash asked.
Gary just smiled.
"Ash Ketchum the World Coronation Series Champion." Gary smiled. "You are an exceptionally great Pokémon Trainer. But most of all, you're our number one Pokémon Master! Never forget your title!"
"Gary! We found the Eggs!" His cheerleaders called, as they placed the six Pokémon Eggs into one of the empty crates in one of the wagons.
"Well, I gotta go, but don't forget Ash." Gary said, standing up. "You're the Pokémon World's Number One Pokémon Master."
And with that, Gary had to leave back to Arcanine, as he had to get the Pokémon Eggs to Fuchsia City. As Gary rode off on his Arcanine and his Cheerleaders followed him in his car, Ash started thinking about what Gary had said. He knew Gary was right, and he knew he shouldn't believe what anyone tells him. He knew that he was the Pokémon World's Number One Pokémon Master and that could never change.
As day turned to night, Ash decided to stay in Dark City for the night until the morning, as it was dangerous to travel through the forests when some Trainers worked at night, so he fell asleep until he heard an unfamiliar Pokémon calling.
"GLACE!"
"Huh?!" Ash gasped, waking up. "Hello! Who's there? Max? Bonnie?"
There as she was passing Ash on her Galarian Rapidash, was the new Trainer, as she was travelling around the Regions.
Now Ash was confused, Charles Goodshow never mentioned anything about any New Trainers coming to the Pokémon World, but he was too tired to question the Trainer's random appearance, so he fell asleep.
As Ash slept that night he started having a dream, it started with him, Rosa and Hilda taking a group of school children on an excursion ride. As they stopped at the Pokémon Centre in Luxuria Town, Rosa and Hilda took the children into the Pokémon Fighting School, Ash stayed outside looking at the sky.
Suddenly in a mighty flash the bright blue cloudless sky turned from blue and cloudless to magenta and cloudy with purple clouds. Then a voice started calling from somewhere.
"Do not fear, Ash Ketchum." The voice said. "Everything is going to be okay."
"Huh?" Ash asked, looking around. "Who's that talking? Bianca? Fantina? Korrina?"
Then the mysterious new Pokémon Trainer on her Galarian Rapidash passed Ash who was in shock.
"Hey!" Ash called. "Wait a minute! I want to talk to you!" Without another thought Ash hopped onto his Charizard and gave chase.
"PIKA, PI!" Pikachu took off after his best friend.
The mysterious Pokémon Trainer kept riding her Galarian Rapidash down the street with Ash following not too far behind her.
"Hey!" Ash called out. "Slow down! Who are you!?"
But the Trainer's Rapidash didn't stop, and she didn't speak back. Ash's Charizard flapped his wings trying to catch up with the Unique Horn Pokémon from the Galar Region. Ash was confused, he had many questions in his head. Who was this Trainer? Where did she come from? What did she want from him?
At last the Trainer stopped her Rapidash and hopped off her, standing in front of her. Ash's Charizard soon caught up and Ash hopped off his Flame Pokémon and looked at the new Trainer as Pikachu hopped onto his shoulder.
"Whoa! It's you!" Ash gasped, looking at the Trainer. "Who are you? Please, I'm just curious."
"Greetings Ash Ketchum." The Trainer said. "I'm the magical girl of the Legendary and Mythical Pokémon. But you don't seem to remember me do you?"
"A magical girl?" Ash asked, confused. "What's a magical girl?"
"I can produce the powers of the Legendary Pokémon to protect Pokémon and travel around." The Trainer said. "You should remember Ash. You helped me before."
"I did?" Ash asked. "When?"
"20 years ago, when Calem was after me." The Trainer said. "Allow me to show you Ash."
"What? Show me what?" Ash asked.
"Power of Dialga!" Then the Trainer grabbed Ash's wrist and then it happened.
The Trainer was running with Serena in a magic meadow where all the Legendary and Mythical Pokémon lived. Then the Trainer revealed her face and took her veil off to see Serena.
"So Serena, you didn't forget about magic." May said. "It's safe inside you."
"PIKACHU!"
"ASH!" Serena cried, looking behind them.
It was Ash and he had Pikachu too.
"Serena! You found her!" Ash cheered. "And she's so beautiful!"
Then it reverts to where Serena, May and Ash were running from Calem and were heading to the Driftveil Drawbridge that wasn't finished construction yet.
"Well May!" Serena said, as she rode in front of her on her Tauros. "This is your Pokémon Adventure too!"
"I hope so!" May called back, as her Galarian Rapidash picked up speed.
Ash was behind them riding on Noivern. "Come on, May!" Ash cheered. "Pokémon Trainers can do impossible things!"
Then after escaping the collapsing bridge and Calem stuck in a barge of Pokémon Poop, Ash, May and Serena were all in Littleroot Town.
"We did it!" Serena cheered. "We found the Magical girl that keeps the Legendaries and Mythicals alive and saved the Pokémon World from doom!"
"May, you're a really helpful Trainer." Ash smiled.
"And helping each other, brings to life the magic in all of us." May beamed.
