Macon

He had been following her for three months, watching as she went to dance class, ate meals with the young man with long black hair and rode in the limo to the KC building. He and Adam had practically camped out wherever she was. Tonight they watched as she walked out of the building in clothes that Macon would have burned if she had worn around him. She was exposing her body to the world and he was furious.

He watched as she climbed into a car driven by the girl from the first night and a purple haired boy in the front seat while Francesca and the black haired boy climbed into the back. He and Adam pulled into traffic behind them, following them to the clubbing district.

They reached a club that said "Karaoke" on a large sign out front. He followed them in, sitting at a dark corner of the bar so that she wouldn't see him. He watched as she stood at the music book with the girl. They laughed and he wished he could hear what they were saying. They picked a song together and sat back down waiting on their number to be called. He watched as they ordered drinks and food from the waitress. They were soon joined by two men, one blonde and the other brunette. They called their number and Francesca and the girl got up and sang a song he was not familiar with. They danced to the music and the lust for her revised in his stomach.

Seto

He tracked Mokuba's phone to the club that they were at and walked in, the music was loud and it was not a scene he was familiar with. He craved being in the same room as her, he craved her scent, her kiss, her touch, her. He was acting in a way that was not his usual manner, he was in love.

Looking to the stage he saw Chessy dancing with Tea. Looking around he saw that the two women seemed to captivate all eyes in the audience. His eyes were only on her, he watched as she seemed at home on the stage. He sat at a booth in the back and ordered scotch and water as he watched his girl dance, along with every other man in the club. When the song ended everyone in the bar seemed to be screaming for the girls to sing another. They looked at each other laughing "Okay, okay," Chessy said, "we will do one more, but ya girl needs a drink first." She stepped off the stage and grabbed her beer from the table and walked back to the stage. "Okay Tea, let's look at the catalog." They looked over the book again and Chessy said "Tea, look at this one!"

"I don't know that one." Tea said into the mic.

"I got ya chick, I know this one very well. Just follow my lead."

(song is: More Hearts Than Mine by Ingrid Andress)

I can't wait to show you where I grew up

Walk you 'round the foothills of my town

Probably feel like you've been there before

After hearing all the stories I've been telling you

For six months now

He was mesmerized by her singing, just like the rest of the crowd. She looked like a natural up there, she was putting herself into her music. As the music faded the crowd started screaming again "Two is my limit." Chessy said into the mic "maybe some other time. But now I just want to dance!" The two women walked off of the stage and another person walked on. As the girls walked to the dance floor both women were flooded with dance partners. He was tempted to join her, but he was not one to dance, and she was not one to be seen in public with him.

Macon took his chance, the dance floor was full of men grinding on her so he took the opportunity to do the same. Shoving through the dance floor he wound up at her backside, her hips swaying in time with the beat. He touched her hips and put his pelvis against her allowing her to set the pace with her swaying. Until she froze. It was almost as if her body was remembering his touch. The thought made him smile. He wrapped his arms around her waist, leaning forward he moved her hair away and placed a small kiss on her exposed back. Then he turned and disappeared into the throng.

Chessy

She recognized that touch. Macon was there, he was in Japan, he had found her. Her body locked up, she couldn't move. Her body was surrounded by dancing and jostling bodies. She looked around and met the blue eyes of her savior. He saw the terror in her eyes and was at her in seconds. "Are you ok?" he asked, guiding her out of the crowd and out of the bar.

"Macon is here." She gasped, "he touched me. Seto I would recognize that touch anywhere." She fell against him. "How did he find me?"

"Are you certain?" He asked, pulling out his cellphone.

"Seto, I've had to endure that touch every day for the last five years. I know it." Her stomach turned and she ran to the nearest trash can to vomit. She felt him move her hair back and rub her back gently. "How could I be so stupid." She cried as hot tears ran down her cheeks. "I should have known that I would never be free of him. Half a world away isn't far enough." She straightened and found herself pulled tightly into his chest.

"I will protect you."

"You can't. He'll hurt you, or Mokuba. I couldn't bear it if something happened to one of you because of me."

"Baby, nothing is going to happen to us, or to you." He leaned down to kiss her and she backed up.

"Not happening after I just puked." He chuckled and pulled her back in kissing her hair.

"You're staying with me tonight, no argument." She nodded against his chest.

Macon watched as she leaned against the tall brunette. He finally recognized the man. Seto Kaiba. When he had moved into the house he had thrown out magazines, posters and news articles about his company. He should have remembered that.

The limo pulled into the drive for his home and she was asleep on his shoulder. He went to wake her up, but thought better of it. He scooped her up and carried her inside. "I'm awake" she said sleepily against his shoulder.

"Shhhhhhhh" he soothed "go back to sleep."

"I need a shower and a toothbrush." She pulled away from him gently. "I can walk." He put her on her feet, but he wasn't happy about it. Taking her hand he led her to his room. "This isn't where I stayed last time" she realized as he opened the door.

"This is my room," he said, pulling her in and leading her towards the bed.

"Seto, I can't tonight."

He caught her meaning. "I'm not asking anything of you. Just for you to sleep here." He pushed her to sit on the bed. "I had the staff pick up some soap and shampoo for you. But I have no idea if it is what you use. If it does not work I can send the staff out for something else."

She looked at him as he came out of the bathroom with a bottle of soap and a toothbrush. "It is perfect." She said walking to him and taking the items. "What about clothes?" He walked into a giant walk-in closet and returned with a blue satin pajama set.

"I don't have clothes for you, but hopefully this will work for tonight." She smiled up at him. This was a side of the CEO that no one ever saw. The side that just wanted approval. She took the clothes and disappeared into the bathroom. When she reappeared she felt almost like herself again.

He was sitting on the bed waiting for her. As she walked out he stood and brought her into his chest. "Your turn," she said against his chest. He pulled away and she looked at the large bed. "Which side do I sleep on?" She asked.

"You pick." He said. "I will take whichever side you don't." He walked into the bathroom.

Taking her cell phone from her bag she sat on her bed and called her mother. "Hello"

"Hey Mom."

"Hey baby, how are you?"

"I've been better. Mama, where is Macon?"

"I'm not sure, baby. He hasn't been home in a few months. When he stopped coming home your father and I assumed he was staying in New Orleans."

"I think he's here." She whispered. "I think he's found me."

"Chessy, are you sure? Sweetheart, have you seen him?" The panic in her mothers voice was real. Chessy could feel the pain and fear that her mother felt.

"No, Mama, but he touched me. I know that touch. I know how his hands feel." She was crying. "Mama, I thought I was free."

"Baby, can you run?"

"No, Mama, I can't. I have a job I love, friends, and….. a life. I go out again. I go to restaurants with friends. I can't give it up again." She didn't want to tell her mother about Seto. Not yet.

"Baby, please be safe."

"I am Mama, I am taking all precautions. I'm staying with a friend right now, I am safe here." And she felt that, she felt safe with him, in his arms. She felt that she would always be safe with him. "Mama it's late here, I am going to try to get some sleep. I will call you tomorrow night and check-in. I love you."

"Daddy and I love you too, my girl, please be safe." Both women disconnected the call, both crying.

She was asleep when he came out of the shower, curled up almost at the edge of the bed. She looked so tiny and fragile. He was walking to the bed when he heard a knock on the door. He opened the door to see his brother. "Is Chessy ok?" he asked in a low whisper.

Seto stepped out of the room so as not to wake her. "She's asleep. She is convinced he is in Domino. Do you think it's possible?"

"I think anything is possible." Mokuba answered his brother. "I hope not, but I imagine it is very possible for him to have found her. The better question is how do we keep her safe?"

"I have an idea, but she won't like it. I don't want her to feel like she's trapped in her own life." He ran a hand through his hair. "Let's just go to bed and we can talk more about it in the morning." Mokuba nodded as he walked away.

"Seto," he said, turning back. "I love her, you know that right?"

"I know."

The morning sun filtered through the window and fell on Chessy's face. Squinting she rolled over and came face to face with her sleeping lover. Reaching up gently she moved the hair off of his face. "Good Morning" he murmured, not opening his eyes. "How did you sleep?" He asked, throwing his arm around her waist and pulling her into him.

"Very well." She replied, snuggling into his chest. "I guess I need to get up. Mokuba will want breakfast."

"We have a cook." Seto responded as he began slowly unbuttoning her top. She laughed as his lips crushed hers in a smothering kiss. Flipping, he moved so that she was on top of him. "I like this view." He said opening the pajama shirt to run his hands on her smooth stomach. His fingers traced her ribs and the lines of her body.

She stretched against him and sighed contentedly. "I could lay here forever."

"Go for it," he replied. "Let's just spend all day today doing exactly what we just did." She squealed as he rolled on top of her.

"I can't" she protested, laughing. "I have laundry and a million other things to do today. I'm cooking tonight."

"We have a cook." He reminded her again as he nipped her shoulder. "Let her cook for you."

"At my apartment, for my friends." She replied as he continued his onslaught going lower. "I was going to make gumbo."

"Hey Love birds, breakfast is ready!" Mokuba yelled through the door. "Seto let her up."

"I'm going to kill that kid." Seto said as she laughed. She leaned up and kissed him.

"He's right. I'm hungry, let me up."

Macon sat outside her apartment building waiting. She hadn't come home the night before and he was getting impatient. He had been in Japan for over three months and the closest he had gotten to her was at a club the night before. He had been waiting all day. It was well after noon and she still hadn't been home.

He was about to call it a day when the limo pulled up. She climbed out wearing the same shorts from the night before, but her shirt was different. She wore a mens button up, tied exposing her stomach. The sleeves rolled up to her elbows. She laughed at something that was said by someone in the limo. He watched as Seto Kaiba stepped out of the car into the bright daylight. Macon watched as she flipped her hair over her shoulder and smiled up at him. Her face held an expression Macon had not seen since she was sixteen. It was the same look she had when she had looked at Malachi all those years ago. A look she never had when she looked at Macon. He watched as the pair walked into the building carrying arm loads of shopping bags. Kaiba even opened the door for her like a gentleman and as she walked by he leaned down and kissed her.
