The screen whirred to life again, displaying a picture of a bearded dwarf hammering a piece of metal

Uther : Oh ? Will this song be about craftsmen ?
Arthur : That does seem to be the case, Father

Down in the deep
Where the dragon used to sleep

Uther : These craftsmen slew a dragon ? Impressive. Talented at arts, and at war. Worthy men indeed
Arthur : Camelot could use people like them

Glorious gold glimmers in our home of old
Dark as the night where the day has lost it's light
When the hammer falls

Arthur : They appear to live underground. Interesting...
Uther : So people can live underground. Several sorcerers disappeared after the Purge began. I wonder...
Merlin (who helped many sorcerers away from Camelot, into underground bunkers) : ...

When the hammer falls,
And it sounds through the halls,
When the hammer falls,
Freeing treasures from the walls,
When the hammer strikes,
And the kingdom comes to life,
When the hammer pounds,
Like the thunder underground,
When the hammer falls,
When the hammer falls!

Uther : The craftsmen of a kingdom are indeed very important. It is not wrong to say that the "kingdom comes to life" when their work begins
Arthur : Weapon Craftsmen, perhaps. Other craftsmen ? I don't think so
Merlin : (facepalm)
Morgana : (facepalm)
Gwen : (wince)
Uther : You have much to learn, my son

Of legend and myth,
Is the craft of the smith,

Uther : (raises wineglass) True enough

The molten metal poured,
And pounded into sword,

Arthur : HA ! They are weaponsmiths ! Told you so !
Uther : (sighs)

From the fire is made,
Every Dwarven axe and blade,
When the hammer falls.

Morgana : So we finally have a name for these people. The "Dwarvens", or "Dwarves" or something. It begins with "dwa" anyway
Merlin (who has met actual dwarves) : (fidgets nervously)
Arthur : Whatever they are, they are fine men indeed ! Camelot could use someone of their caliber
Merlin (whisper) : Not men
Arthur : What ?
Merlin : Nothing

When the hammer falls,
Forging weapons for all,
When the hammer falls,
Songs of battle fill the halls,
When the hammer flies,
Lines of armoured Dwarves arise,
With the hammer's roar, We go marching off to war!
When the hammer falls,
When the hammer falls!

Uther : (raises wineglass) TO THE DWARVES ! You there ! (points to Gwen) MORE WINE !
Arthur (does the same) : TO THE DWARVES !
Morgana : That's their sixth wineglass...in as many minutes
Merlin : It's a miracle anything gets done
Gwen : (about to collapse out of sheer exhaustion)

The orcs came to our land,
And we fought them hand to hand.
Sweat and blood, Turned the ground to mud,
Dwarf and Orc in strife,
Sought to vanquish every life,
When the hammer falls.

Arthur : That's more like it ! Valiant combat ! Fighting for their land ! The stuff of legends !
Uther : Indeed, similar to how Camelot fought against the threat of magic
Gwen : (looks uncomfortable)
Arthur : (goes silent)
Merlin : (looks angry and clenches his fists)
Morgana : (looks murderous as a wineglass shatters in her hand) Oops. Sorry Gwen
Gwen : No problem, Lady Morgana
Arthur : (eyes Morgana suspiciously)

When the hammer falls,
Back our enemy crawls When the hammer quakes,
Orcish cowards' bones will break,
When the hammer cracks,
And it beats their armies back,
When the hammer's boom,
Sends the monsters to their doom,
When the hammer falls,
When the hammer falls!

Uther : How valiant. They drove the Orcs out of their land after a hard-fought war. Well done (raises glass)
Arthur (drunk and going buck-wild) : VICTORY ! LONG LIVE THE DWARVES !
Uther (grabs his son with one hand and forces him back into his seat) : You are a prince. Behave like one

When the hammer falls,
Then our victory calls,
When the hammer falls,
Songs of glory fill the halls,
When the hammer flies,
Mighty heroes now arise,
With the hammer's sound,
Live the Dwarves down underground,
When the hammer falls,
When the hammer falls!

Uther : (nod of approval)
Arthur : (muted cheering)
The rest : (alternating between nodding fondly at Arthur, and glaring at Uther)
