As Luigi gave his statement, Maya was looking up information about Luigi. To her surprise, there were a few articles on him. She clicked on the first one. "Mario Manfredi Sr. brings his sons into his plumbing business."
"They know their stuff!" Their father proudly boasted.
The article also said that he had been in the plumbing business for 20 years. Maya was impressed. Clearly, Luigi was a fantastic plumber, just like his dad and his brother. Michael came over to her, kissing her cheek.
Maya smiled, "Hey Michael."
Michael asked, "So why did you want me here?"
Maya explained, "You best hold onto your hat."
Michael was confused, "I don't have a hat..."
Maya replied, "It's an expression. Long story short, your father is still alive."
Michael turned white as a ghost. "T-that is impossible! We saw..."
Maya interrupted, "I know what we saw. But apparently, Luigi saw Springtrap alive in Freddy's."
Michael wanted to curse and he wanted to do it loudly. Freddy's was due to be demolished by the end of the month to make room for Freddy's Fazbear's Fright. Scott Cawthon, Joe's cousin, had bought Freddy's. Michael knew that this just spelled trouble.
"Have you told anyone else yet?" He asked his girlfriend.
Maya shook her head. "The only one that knows right now is Sal."
Michael breathed a sigh of relief. Good at least he can break the news.
Maya kept clicking on the articles that she had found on Luigi. One of the articles read: "Wonderful man and plumber. Mario Manfredi Sr. and his wife, Lucinda, is dead. Police report that they went out for a drive during the terrible rainstorm, on June 8th. They couldn't see the road and went off around Anderson Avenue. When asked to comment, their Aunt Pauline had politely declined. Funeral services will be held on June 11th."
Maya looked at Michael, the sorrow in her face. Michael lowered his head. Maya pulled up the last article. "The Manfredi brothers go missing. Several days after their parents' funeral, Mario Manfredi Jr. and Luigi have gone missing. As far as anyone can tell, they had gone to the abandoned house on Lewis Street, which was set to be fixed up. Once again, when asked for a comment, Pauline had declined."
Maya raised a brow, "They have been missing for about 6 or 7 years..."
Michael replied, "Why would Luigi be alone, though? Mario would be right with him. It doesn't make sense."
"Hey guys." Sal greeted. With him was Luigi. He added, "Mr. Manfredi, this is my boss, Chief Maya Richards."
"How do you do?" Maya regarded, shaking his hand.
"I'm well, thank you." Luigi told her.
Sal further added, "And this is Michael Afton."
Instead of the usual cold glare that he was used to getting, the man in green just smiled.
Luigi offered his hand, "Nice to meet you, Michael."
Michael was a bit appalled. Did he not know...
"Uh you too." He said at last, shaking his hand.
Sal told them, "He needs a place to stay for the night."
Luigi insisted, "I just need to figure out where I am. The, uh, road trip I've been on has been a doozy."
Michael explained, "Baltimore Maryland."
To that, Luigi just nodded. He added, "I need to find a motel on the cheap."
Michael perked up, "Well, you can room with me. I just got an apartment, so it's just me. And occasionally, Maya."
Maya blushed. Luigi was surprised by the hospitality.
"T - thank you." He said to them.
...
After a bit, Michael had driven them home. He finally had his license finally, so he was vigilant. Luigi was quiet, though, as if he was lost in his own thoughts.
"Why didn't you tell them?" He heard Mr. L ask.
"Like they would believe me." Luigi deadpanned.
"They believed you about creepy-rabbit." L pointed out.
"Luigi?"
The man in green broke himself out of his thoughts, seeing Michael had addressed him.
"We are here." He said simply.
Luigi just nodded as he got out of the car. Michael unlocked the door, allowing the ghost hunter to come in. It was a simple apartment. There was a living room, a dining room, a kitchen, with two bedrooms, and two bathrooms.
Luigi told him, "It's a nice place."
Michael replied, "Thanks, my friends and I put a lot of work into it."
Luigi asked, "Oh?"
Michael nodded, "Yeah but you'll meet them in the morning. I - I want to tell them what you saw in Freddy's."
Luigi was puzzled, "But that doesn't make sense... Why would you tell them that?"
Michael sat on the couch, "T - there is something I need to tell you. But I'm not sure if I want to tell you tonight or tomorrow when everyone's here."
Luigi placed his hand on his shoulder, "You can tell me whenever you feel its needed."
Michael pointed out, "Same with you." Luigi perked up as he further added, "There's something you aren't telling us."
Luigi admitted, "Yes but only because I don't know how you would react."
Michael replied, "I feel the same way."
Luigi looked at him, "I'll tell you, when you tell me?"
Michael nodded, "Deal. And that won't be until in the afternoon when everyone is here. For now, let's get some sleep."
Luigi had to agree. He did feel a bit tired. Michael showed him where the guest room was. Luigi thanked him again for his hospitality. Michael smiled as he went off into his room. Luigi sat on the bed, sighing sadly.
Luigi muttered, "Of course I wounded up here..."
Mr. L asked, "I don't get it. Why would Dimentio want to come here? Or Adventure Bay? It doesn't make sense. If he does know where the crew is, then why not just go straight to them?"
Luigi answered, "I'm not sure either. But I might as well enjoy being near home. Good night, L."
Mr. L stated, "Good night, Junior."
Before he knew it, the man in green fell asleep.
...
Wishmaker1028: Yep, that's where I am ending this chapter. It is a bit short but I wanted to do a whole chapter on Michael telling Luigi the truth about Springtrap. Anyways, please and review! And always think outside of the box!
