CHAPTER 1:
On the night of October 19th, Aubrey and Jessica were taking a walk through Manhattan.
"I'm so glad it was a nice night for a stroll through the city," Aubrey sighed.
"I know what you mean. It's nice to get out of the apartment for a while," Jessica agreed.
The two Bellas looked around at the glittering lights of the city buildings as they continued their walk through the city streets.
"I hope it stays this nice for the kids to go trick-or-treating. I'd hate for it to rain like it did last year. We had to wait it out in the car with Finn for quite a while, and I remember how disappointed he was about that," Aubrey recalled.
"We'll have to think good thoughts about the weather," Jessica said.
"That's for sure. Halloween's always better when the weather cooperates," Aubrey said.
"Even if Halloween is stormy again, it'll still be a lot of fun," Jessica said.
"True," Aubrey said.
"So, any idea what Finn wants to be for Halloween?" Jessica asked.
"Well, Chad and I encourage him to try something different every year. So this year, Finn told me he wants to be Spider-Man," Aubrey explained.
"Oh, those kinds of costumes are easy to find these days," Jessica said.
"Yeah. He was inspired by the most recent Comic-Con that Chad and I took him to," Aubrey explained.
"Those are always so much fun," Jessica said.
"Agreed." Aubrey and Jessica walked on, admiring the evening sky, when Aubrey remembered something, "Hey, Jessica, remember about a year ago when we met Chloe's cousin in Baltimore?" Aubrey asked.
"Yeah," Jessica said.
"Well, apparently, she's coming into town tonight. She'll be here for a few days, and I'll be meeting her and Chloe at Starbucks tomorrow," Aubrey said.
"That's awesome. I'd love to see her again," Jessica said.
"Well, I can text Chloe and find out which Starbucks we're meeting at, and maybe you could come along," Aubrey suggested.
"Oh, that'd be great! I do have one thing to do tomorrow, though; Ashley and I are planning to take Danny to a pumpkin patch tomorrow. He told us that he wants to pick out one of our pumpkins, so hopefully he'll pick out a good one," Jessica said.
"Yeah, Chad and I are planning to take Finn to pick out a pumpkin soon as well," Aubrey said.
"Does he always pick out a good one?" Jessica asked.
"Of course. He always picks out a good-sized pumpkin for himself. And he especially loves when he gets to carve it," Aubrey said, sighing. "I remember that Halloween when Chad helped Finn carve his very first pumpkin."
"Aww, I bet he had fun," Jessica said.
"He sure did. In fact, he made a whole mess of it too," Aubrey said, smiling at the memory.
"And now Ashley and I can't wait to have this same memory with Danny," Jessica said.
"Does he have a costume picked out yet?" Aubrey asked.
"Yep. We went to the costume shop last weekend and picked out a good one. He had a hard time deciding between two choices, but he eventually went with a bear costume," Jessica explained.
"Interesting. As for Finn, he doesn't have his Spider-Man costume picked out yet. But Chad and I plan to take him costume shopping soon," Aubrey said.
"Hopefully you'll have an easier time than we did with Danny. There's so much for the kids to choose from. We weren't sure we would ever get out of that costume shop," Jessica recalled.
"I'm sure it'll be alright. You know Finn, when he wants something, he goes after it," Aubrey said.
Just then, Aubrey received a text from Chad. It read, "Leaving my parent's house now. Finn and I will be home shortly."
Aubrey texted back, "Okay. I'll see you at home."
