Skatoony: Little Miss Princess & the Royal Quiz [Coronation Special]
For a special royal episode of Skatoony, Little Miss Princess is a contestant, but, since she is a princess, she's never played in a quiz before. Will she do her best, or will she fall flat trying?
This episode is to celebrate the coronation of the new King of England, King Charles III.
[I do not, and never will, own Skatoony or any other stuff used/referenced in this fanfic.]
[Today, the Skatoony studio had loads of UK Flags decorating the walls, and the ceiling. The quizblock was also decorated to match the colours of the Union Jack flag; red, white and blue, but the squares still remained the same colors as normal. In the Quizblock's 6 squares, there were 3 children, and 2 toons all wearing party hats patterned like the Union Jack flag. In the green square was a fair-skinned girl in a dark blue top with dark brown hair in pigtails [Wendy], in the pink square was a brown-haired tan-skinned boy with glasses in a red top [James], and in the blue square was a blonde-haired girl wearing a white top [Florrie]. In the purple square was Hyacinth Bosh, the Frankenstein schoolgirl [in a blue version of her school uniform], and in the yellow square was a bald-headed kid with dark sunglasses wearing a red top [Numbuh 1]. The red square, however, was empty. You'll see why it's empty later.]
The announcer's voice went out: "Welcome to Skatoony, the show where kids and toons compete for prizes! Now here's the hosts who like Earl Grey tea, ready to get royally quizzy, it's Chudd Chudders!"
Chudd Chudders came from the stair entrance, completely covered by a vastly oversized Union Jack patterned top hat. "Hey, folks!" he said, even though he couldn't see. "Has anyone seen my glasses?"
"And The Earl!" The announcer said, as Earl rose up from his platform, wearing a blue coat in place of his purple one, and a big cowboy hat patterned with the Union Jack pattern. "Yeah!" Earl said.
Chudd, still in his vastly oversized Union Jack patterned top hat, stumbled down the stairs, tripped, and fell. He landed on the floor of the stage, and then, he got himself outta his vastly oversized Union Jack patterned top hat. He was wearing a blue, red and white version of his normal outfit. "Ah, thank goodness!" Chudd said. "This top hat is much too big! I demand a refund!" he said, throwing the massive top hat away. "Whadda ya say, Earl?" he asked.
"I say we meet the contestants!" Earl said. "Say hello to…. Wendy, Hyacinth Bosh, James, Numbuh 1, Florrie and…. uhhh…"
He stopped. "We're one contestant short!"
The audience gasped.
"What are we gonna do?" asked Chudd. "We need one more contestant!"
SUDDENLY!
A loud fanfare of trumpets blasted the air.
SUDDENLY! [AGAIN!]
A royal coach entered the studio, and out entered the most royal Little Miss from the Mr Men book series - Little Miss Princess.
"It looks like Little Miss Princess is joining the quiz." Chudd said.
"Wow!" All the contestants said.
"Yes, that's right." said Little Miss Princess, "I've decided to join in your little quiz show."
"And," she added, as she climbed up the special steps Dudley the Props Guy brought in, "I enjoy the decorations you've put up. A perfect way to honour royalty."
Little Miss Princess got into the Red square, in between Wendy and James.
"We pride ourselves on our décor thoroughness." Chudd said.
"Exactly." Earl said. "All the best for our Coronation Special episode."
"And," Wendy said, "the show's doing it in memory of Queen Elizabeth II, the old Queen of England, on this one."
Over on a far wall of the studio, was a picture of England's former Queen, Queen Elizabeth II, designed like a 2D cartoon.
"I heard about her passing on the news last year." Little Miss Princess said. "It was a real shame."
"Yeah." James said. "But we're getting a new king, so we're honouring the queen's memory. It's as if this is what she wanted."
"Exactly right." Chudd said. "Now pipe down, and I'll run through the rules of the game."
[Rules of Skatoony]
"All you gotta do is stay in the game through 3 rapid fire rounds. We're gonna knock 2 of you out of the end of Round 1, then drop the second pair of losers at the end of Round 2, that'll leave two contestants battling it out to see who goes through to the Skatoony Quiz Champ Challenge! What do they win, Earl?"
"A Nintendo Switch!" Earl said.
The audience cheered.
"So," Chudd said, "The royal race to get the royal prize starts here, as we play our first royal round, which is…"
BANG ON! OR BOGUS?
[Yes, all the round title cards have a red, white and blue coloration too.]
"OK, listen up, jumping jacks," said Chudd. "I'm gonna say a load of silly stuff. Some of it's true, but some of it ain't. All you've gotta do is decide what's bang on true, and what's bogusly false. So," he said to the contestants, "If you think it's true, you shout…"
"Bang on!" the contestants said.
"And," Chudd added, "if it's false, you shout…"
"Bogus!" the contestants said.
"OK." said Chudd, "The 2 lowest scoring players will go out at the end of the round, and you have as long as it takes Dudley the Props Guy to raise the UK flag all the way to the top of our big flagpole."
Dudley cranked the crank, and the flag on the flagpole slowly went up.
"Let's go!" Chudd said. "Goosebumps is a book series about body illnesses."
Florrie buzzed in. "Florrie?"
"Bogus." Florrie said.
[DING]
"Correct, Florrie." Chudd said. "It's actually a book series about monsters!"
"Monsters?!" exclaimed Mr. Nervous in the audience. "Aaaargh!" Then he ran outta the studio screaming, right past Tony Eagle-Eyes, who was making a cameo for no reason.
"He's not getting a refund!" said Tony.
"OK," Chudd said, ignoring what had just happened and carried on with the quiz, "Cinderella's slippers were made of glass."
Little Miss Princess buzzed in. "Little Miss Princess?"
"Oh, um, is that… bogus?" Little Miss Princess asked.
[RASPBERRY]
"No, it's actually bang on." Chudd said. "The actual name of Granny from Looney Tunes is Emma Webster."
James buzzed in. "James?"
"Bogus!" James said.
[RASPBERRY]
"I'm afraid that's bang on, James." Chudd said. "Pigeons do white poos."
Numbuh 1 buzzed in. "Numbuh 1?"
"Disgusting!" said Numbuh 1. "So it's obviously bogus."
[Raspberry]
"No," said Chudd. "As disgusting as it sounds, it's actually bang on."
"Well, you might've told me!" Numbuh 1 griped.
"Diagonal is French for 'diamond'." Chudd said.
Wendy buzzed in. "Wendy?"
"Bogus." Wendy said.
[DING]
"Correct, it is bogus." Chudd said. "Marge Simpson has blue hair."
Florrie buzzed in. "Florrie?"
"Bang on." Florrie said.
[DING]
"Correctamundo, it is bang on." Chudd said. "Blue cheese has an edible mold in it which gives it blue streaks."
Hyacinth Bosh buzzed in. "Hyacinth?"
"Bogus." Hyacinth said.
[Raspberry]
"No, it's bang on!" Chudd said. "Strawberries are called that because you used to drink their juice with straws that you stuck into them."
Wendy buzzed in. "Wendy?"
"Bogus." Wendy said.
[DING]
"Correctamundo, Wendy, it is bogus." Chudd said. "Judy Moody's birthday is on April 1st, April Fool's Day."
Florrie buzzed in. "Florrie?"
"That's bang on!" Florrie said.
[DING]
"That's right!" Chudd said. "Badminton is played with a ball."
Florrie buzzed in. "Florrie?"
"Bogus." Florrie said.
[DING]
"That's right!" Chudd said. "It's played with a shuttlecock!" He turned to Dudley. "Dudley, are you done with the flag yet?" he asked.
"Well, nearly." Dudley said. The flag was halfway up the pole.
"OK, let's keep quizzin'." Chudd said. "In the Cbeebies show 'Me Too!' Tina drives a pink taxi."
Wendy buzzed in. "Wendy?"
"Bang on." Wendy said.
[Ding]
"Correct." Chudd said.
"Alright!" Wendy said.
"Now," Chudd said, "There are 3 Mii Fighter choices in Super Smash Bros for 3DS and Wii U, and in Super Smash Bros Ultimate."
Numbuh 1 buzzed in. "Numbuh 1?"
"Obvious guess, Mr Chudders - it's bang on." Numbuh 1 said.
[DING]
"Correct." Chudd said. "All castles have revolving doors."
Little Miss Princess buzzed in. "Little Miss Princess?"
"I think that's bogus." Little Miss Princess said. "Castles have drawbridges and portcullises."
[DING]
"Correct, Little Miss Princess." Chudd said.
"I did it!" said Little Miss Princess, excitedly. "I got one right!"
"Yes, you did." Chudd said.
Dudley, on the other hand, was struggling to get the flag to the top of the flagpole.
"Stay back!" said Mr. Strong, racing up to help. "I'll help you!" he cranked the flagpole crank, with his strong arms, and the flag raced all the way to the top of the flagpole. "I did it!" he said. Suddenly, he broke the crank off. "Oh, Pickles! I hardly touched it!" he said.
"Well, the flag's up," Chudd said, "so that's the end of the round!"
The audience cheered.

"OK, well played everybody," Chudd said, "but sadly, we've gotta give two of you the boot, and those two are… James, and Hyacinth Bosh!"
"Aw!" Hyacinth Bosh said. "Well, at least my face is still beautiful, right?"
"Ugh!" said Numbuh 1. "Gramma Stuffum's face is so much better than yours!" he added rudely.
"Ohhhh!" Hyacinth wailed. And she burst into tears.
Annie and Clarabel, Thomas the Tank Engine's carriages, who were watching nearby, could hardly believe their ears.
"He's dreadfully rude, I feel quite ashamed. I feel quite ashamed, he's dreadfully rude." Annie and Clarabel said.
And to Numbuh 1, they both said, "You mustn't be rude, you'll make us ashamed."
"Well, in any case," Chudd said, "Hyacinth and James, you two are both outta here! Take it away, Earl!"
Earl started up his 'You're Outta Here' song.
'Thanks for playing, but YOU'RE OUTTA HERE!
You gave it a go, but YOU'RE OUTTA HERE!
Don't hang around town, 'cause YOU'RE OUTTA HERE!
It's time to go, 'cause that's the show, and YOU'RE OUTTA HERE!'
James and Hyacinth Bosh were ejected, and they landed in the 'Strawberry Jam Factory', which, like the studio, was all decorated with UK flags.
The 4 remaining contestants cheered.
"Well," Little Miss Princess said. "I can't believe I got through easily."
"I think it was just blind luck." Wendy said.
"Well, I've never played a quiz before." said Little Miss Princess. "As a princess, I've never done a lot of things before, like shopping, cooking, cleaning, and making beds, especially when I once had to help Mr Bump, who once broke his leg."
"AND," she added, "someone made my story into a book."
"We got that book, too." Florrie said. "It was so funny when you got all the shopping orders wrong, and you burnt the peas. It was hilarious!"
"I'll give you 'hilarious'!" Mr Rude said from the audience. Then he farted loudly.
"MR RUDE!" said the Mr Men & Little Misses angrily.
"Take that, you disgusting creature of grotesqueness!" shouted Numbuh 1, as he fired his S.C.A.M.P.P., and zapped Mr Rude HARD, frying him like an egg.
"I did not see that one coming," Chudd said, "And I've read the script!"
"You read the script?" Wendy asked.
"Ok. Now," Chudd said, ignoring Wendy's comment, "on with the show, as it's time to play…"
The Same Sound Name Round!
The 4 contestants had 3 pull-up flaps in front of them.
"Ok," Chudd said. "In front of you, you've got 3 flaps. Underneath each flap is a picture of either a head, a loaf of bread, or the colour red. See?"
The contestants pulled up the flaps to reveal the 3 pictures - a picture of Earl's HEAD, a loaf of BREAD, and a RED paint splat.
"The answers to the questions I'm gonna ask will correspond to one of your flaps." Chudd continued, "So, all you gotta do is buzz in, and pull up the right flap that you think is the answer."
"And, remember," he added, "the answer is what picture you pull up, not what you say. Got that, perky pullers?"
"Yes!" all the contestants said.
"Let's do this!" Wendy said.
"That's the spirit, Wendy!" Chudd said. "The 2 lowest scorers will go out at the end of the round."
"I hope I can do this again." Little Miss Princess said anxiously.
"Course you can, Little Miss Princess." Chudd said. "Now, you've got as long as it takes Mr Small to climb up the ladder, and put the topper on the giant cake for the party at the end of the show."
"Ready, Mr Small?" Mr Nosey asked.
"I certainly am, Mr Nosey!" Mr Small said.
Mr Nosey held the ladder, which was propped up next to a humongous tiered cake, covered completely in red white and blue icing. and Mr Small walked up said ladder, carrying the topper, which was of a crown, one step at a time.
"Let's begin." Chudd said, and the round began.
"Brown, naan and pitta are types of what food?" he asked.
Wendy buzzed in. "Wendy?"
"Sandwiches." Wendy said, pulling up the flap with bread on it.
[DING]
"It's not sandwiches, Wendy, it's bread." Chudd said, "but since you pulled up the bread picture, you're right!"
"Yes!" Wendy said.
"Roary the Racing Car is what colour?" Chudd asked.
Numbuh 1 buzzed in. "Numbuh 1?"
"Red." Numbuh 1 said, pulling the red picture up.
[Ding]
"Correct." Chudd said. "On what part of the body would you find your eyes, ears, mouth and nose?"
Little Miss Princess buzzed in. "Yes, Little Miss Princess?"
"Your head." Little Miss Princess said, pulling up the Head picture.
[DING]
"Correct!" Chudd said. "Complete the Name of this story book character, 'Little Blank Riding Hood.'"
Florrie buzzed in. "Florrie?"
"Red." Florrie said, pulling up the 'red' picture.
[DING]
"Score one for Florrie; it's correct." Chudd said. "What colour is tomato ketchup?"
Florrie buzzed in again. "Florrie again."
Florrie pulled up the 'red' picture again.
[DING]
"Too easy!" Chudd said. "Which picture has the most letters in it's name?"
Florrie buzzed in. "Florrie?"
Florrie pulled up the head picture.
[Raspberry]
"No, it's bread!" Chudd said. "Which picture is a colour?"
Wendy buzzed in. "Wendy, what's your answer?"
"Red." Wendy said, as she pulled the red picture up.
[DING]
"Correct!" Chudd said. "The skull is a bone in the body that goes in your…"
Little Miss Princess buzzed in. "Little Miss Princess, you need this one."
"Head!" Little Miss Princess said, pulling the head picture up.
[DING]
"Heads up, you're Correct!" Chudd said. "What colour do the Spanish call 'rojo'?"
Wendy buzzed in. "Wendy?"
Wendy pulled up the bread picture.
[RASPBERRY]
"No, it's red!" Chudd said. "What colour is China's flag?"
Florrie buzzed in. "Yes, Florrie?"
Florrie pulled up the red picture.
[DING]
"Way to go, Flo!" Chudd said. "Now, how are we doing for time?"
"Almost there!" Mr Small called. "Just got some more steps to go!" He was about ¾ up the ladder.
"Let's keep quizzin'." Chudd said. "What colour is Muck from Bob the Builder?"
Florrie buzzed in. "Florrie?"
Florrie quickly pulled up the red picture flap.
[DING]
"Correct, Florrie! You're on a roll!" Chudd said. "On which part of your body would you wear a hat?"
Little Miss Princess buzzed in. "Little Miss Princess?"
Little Miss Princess pulled the head picture flap up.
[DING]
"Correct, Little Miss Princess!" Chudd said. "A hairdresser cuts the hair off the top of your…"
Numbuh 1 buzzed in. "Numbuh 1?"
"Head." Numbuh 1 said, pulling the head picture up. "Sadly, I don't have any." he added.
[DING]
"Correct." Chudd said. "And It looks like…"
Mr Small finally made it to the top of the ladder.
"Made it!" said Mr Small, and he put the topper on the cake.
"It's game over!" Chudd said.
Mr Small slid down the ladder. "Good tidings!" he said, proudly. "And well done, Mr Nosey," he said to his compadre, "for holding the ladder."
"Well, that's a wrap on Round 2." Chudd said.
The audience cheered.

"So," he added, "after that fast flapping picture game, it's looks like it's time to say sayonara to…. Wendy, and… Numbuh 1!"
"What?!" Numbuh 1 exclaimed. "You can't eject me! I am the leader of Sector V of the Kids Next Door! Just you wait till the Kids Next Door committee hear about this!"
"Sure." Chudd said. "And now, you, and Wendy are eliminated, because…"
"YOU'RE OUTTA HERE!" sang Earl. And on cue, Wendy & Numbuh 1 were ejected.
"THAT WAS AN ADULT SIZED EJECTION!" Numbuh 1 screamed as he and Wendy were flung into the air, and then both landed in the Strawberry Jam Factory.
"Well," said Chudd, "That's the end of Part 1, jelly wellies, but make sure to come back after the break to see the most epically royal showdown between Florrie and Little Miss Princess, to reach the Skatoony Quiz Champ Challenge, to take a shot at winning that Nintendo Switch."
"Yeah!" Earl said.
"So," Chudd said, "tie yourself to that chair, and stay right there, cos we'll be back soon, for a very royal second half of a very royal episode of…"
"SKATOONY!"
[Part 2: Florrie has moved to the pink square on the quizblock]
"Welcome back to Skatoony, jumper bumpers!" Chudd said.
The audience cheered.
"You join us, on this royally epic special ep of the show, as we see Little Miss Princess and Florrie, in an epic royal showdown, to see who's gonna make it to the Skatoony Quiz Champ Challenge, and get the chance to win a fantastic Nintendo Switch!"
The audience cheered again.
"So, Florrie, Little Miss Princess," Chudd said, "which one of you will be going through to the final round?"
"Well," Little Miss Princess said, "I'm gonna try and do my best to succeed in this quiz."
"Me too." Florrie said. "May the best one win."
"Good sportsmanship, ladies." CHudd said. "Now, let's see which one outta you both is going through to the final. And the round we're gonna play is.."
THE DANGERGRID OF DOOM!
Lightning flashed, the studio darkened, and in rolled The Dangergrid of Doom. He was wearing Chudd's Union Jack top hat from the beginning of the episode.
"How, do you like my new hat!" The Dangergrid of Doom said proudly.
"Glad it's working out for you." Chudd said, knowing it was his hat. "You keep it."
"OK," he said to Florrie & Little Miss Princess, "I'm gonna ask you some general knowledge questions, and all you gotta do is buzz in when you know the answer. Get it right, and you get to pick a nasty surprise for your opponent from one of the squares on the Dangergrid of Doom. But get it wrong, however, and your opponent gets to give you a nasty surprise, by picking one from the Dangergrid of Doom."
"Kind of a real dark tone for a quiz, isn't it." Little Miss Princess said to Florrie, who nodded.
"OK," said Chudd. "At the end of this round, the top scorer will go through to the Skatoony Quiz Champ Challenge."
"Let's get going!" Earl said.
"Now," Chudd said. "You've got as long as it takes Bradzilla to model lots of red, white and blue balloon corgis."
"On it!" Bradzilla said. He started modelling the red, white, and blue balloons into corgis.
"AND WE'RE off!" Chudd said.
"How many years old were the Mr Men books in 2011, when Little Miss Princess' book was released?" he asked.
Florrie buzzed in. "Florrie?"
"Um… 50?" Florrie guessed.
[Raspberry]
"Nope!" Chudd said. "They were 40 years old that year!"
"the 50th anniversary was in 2021," Little Miss Princess said, "When we had the 2 new additions, Mr Calm and Little Miss Brave!"
"Right, Little Miss Princess," Chudd said, "But leave the facts to me in future."
"OK." Little Miss Princess said.
"Good. Now, Little Miss Princess, you pick a square!" Chudd said.
"Speaking of 2011, I'll have…. Square Number 11." Little Miss Princess said.
Square 11 was highlighted.
"MULCHED BLUEBERRIES AND CHIP SHOP BATTER SCRAPINGS!" The Dangergrid of Doom called, and activated a nozzle, and sprayed Florrie with the blue slimy goo. Florrie shrieked loudly.
"Sorry, Florrie," said Little Miss Princess anxiously.
"Which of the Mr Men has white bandages on his body, and has a sister called Little Miss Whoops?" Chudd asked.
Little Miss Princess buzzed in. "I know!" she said. "It's Mr Bump! I know that cause I helped him in my book."
[ding]
"That was very quick, but you're correct, Little Miss Princess." Chudd said. "Now pick another square!"
"I'll have… Number 2." Little Miss Princess said.
Square 2 was highlighted. "MINUS 2 POINTS!" the Dangergrid of Doom called, and 2 points were deducted from Florrie's score.
"What year was the Queen's Diamond Jubilee?" Chudd asked.
Florrie buzzed in. "Florrie?"
"2012!" SHE SAID,
[DING]
"Correct!" Chudd said. "Now you get to pick a square!"
"12!" Florrie said.
Square 12 was highlighted. "MINUS 1 POINT!" the Dangergrid of Doom called, and 1 point was deducted from Little Miss Princess' score.
"The Duchess of which English city wrote the Budgie the Little Helicopter books?" Chudd asked.
Florrie buzzed in. "Florrie?"
"York." she said.
[DING]
"Right!" Chudd said. "Pick your square, Florrie!"
"Number 4." Florrie said.
Square 4 was highlighted. "MINUS 1 POINT!" the Dangergrid of Doom called, and again, 1 point was deducted from Little Miss Princess' score.
"Now," Chudd said, "The Season 4 episode of Thomas & Friends in which Thomas the Tank Engine and his friends meet the Queen was called 'Paint Pots and…'
Little Miss Princess buzzed in. "Little Miss Princess?"
"Queens!" Little Miss Princess said.
[ding]
"Correct!" Chudd said. "Pick your square!"
"Number 9." Little Miss Princess said.
Square 9 was highlighted. "Here's some of the leftover paint that we used to decorate the quizblock like the Union Jack flag!" The DangerGrid of Doom called.
He fired the paint outta a hose in 3 globs, one at a time, and Florrie was splatted with each glob.
"Sorry about that." apologized Little Miss Princess.
"Nasty!" Chudd said. "Now," he added, "What breed of dogs did the queen own as pets?"
Florrie buzzed in. "Florrie?"
"Were they… Dalmatians?" she asked.
[Raspberry]
"Oh, Sorry, Florrie," Chudd said, "but the answer was corgis!"
"Oh no!" Florrie said, covering her eyes.
"Pick another square, Little Miss Princess." Chudd said.
"Square number 7." said Little Miss Princess.
Square 7 was highlighted. "Numbuh 1 lent me one of his M.U.S.K.E.T.s to use for Florrie!" The Dangergrid of Doom said, as he brought out the M.U.S.K.E.T., and squirted Florrie with yellow mustard.
"Ew, nasty!" Chudd said. "Which queen was the villain of the 2012 film The Pirates! In an Adventure with Scientists?"
Florrie buzzed in. "Florrie?"
"Queen Victoria?" she asked.
[DING]
"Correctamundo!" Chudd said. "Now pick your square!"
"Number 8." Florrie said.
Square 8 was highlighted. "MINUS 2 POINTS!" the Dangergrid of Doom called, and 2 points were deducted from Little Miss Princess' score.
"Looks like you're on the comeback, Florrie!" Chudd said. "How are you doing, Bradzilla?" he asked Bradzilla, who was still modelling balloons.
"Got roughtly about 11 to go." he said. He then modelled another balloon in double quick time. "Make that 10."
"He didn't win the 'Fastest Balloon Model Maker' award for nothing, you know." Earl said to the viewers.
Cut away to a big blue rosette, with the words ''Fastest Balloon Model Maker' on it, in a display case.
"OK, Moving on." Chudd said. "who was the first Mr Men character made by Roger Hargreaves?"
Florrie buzzed in. "Florrie."
"Mr Tickle." Florrie said.
[DING]
"Correct." Chudd said. "Pick your square!"
"Number 6." Florrie said.
Square 6 was highlighted. "Here's a banana cream pie for you, your highness!" said the Dangergrid of Doom, and he fired a banana cream pie outta his hatch, and It hit Little Miss Princess in the face.
"Not half bad." said a muffled Little Miss Princess, as she pushed the pie dish off her face. "Could do with a bit more sugar, though."
By this time, Bradzilla was finishing off the last of his balloons. But then, he accidentally grabbed Dabs Looman, the balloon man by mistake, and made HIM into a model balloon corgi.
"Help! Help!" he yelled, "I've been modelled!"
"And that's the end of the round!" Chudd said.
The audience cheered loudly.

"And after that royal rumble," Chudd said,"our winner, who is going through to the Skatoony Quiz Champ Challenge is….. Florrie!"
"Yay!" Florrie cheered.
"Well, Little Miss Princess," Chudd said, "Thanks for playing, but you're outta here!"
Little Miss Princess got outta the quizblock.
"Thanks for having me, Chudd." Little Miss Princess said. "I didn't know what to expect! It was fun!"
"Yes, it was." Earl said. "Oh, and Little Miss Princess…" he added.
Suddenly, the balloon corgis [and Dabs] came down, as well as lots of confetti, and a big banner that read' Happy Birthday, Little Miss Princess' hung down above them.
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" Everyone said, including all the Mr Men & Little Misses, from the books and The Mr Men Show.
"Wow!" said a gobsmacked Little Miss Princess. "You did all of this for me?"
"Technically," Chudd said, "it was Mr Bump's idea."
"Yeah." Mr Bump said. "You helped me out in your own storybook when I broke my leg, so I thought it'd be best if we all got together, and gave you a nice surprise to say thank you, for all the help you give us."
Little Miss Princess was so happy he felt like she'd burst into tears. "Oh, thank you, all of you." she said. "I hope you save me the first slice of the giant cake." she added.
"Oh, we're gonna save you a big piece of the gaint cake." Chudd assured Little Miss Princess. "But first," he added, "we're gonna play…."
THE SKATOONY QUIZ CHAMP CHALLENGE!
"Florrie," Chudd said, "after 3 royally riotous rounds, you've made it all the way here, to the Quiz Champ Challenge."
"Yes!" Florrie said.
"Now," Chudd said, "you've got 90 seconds to answer 10 questions correctly. Do it, and you win a Nintendo Switch, and everlasting royal glory. Fail, and you'll have nothing but all that royally slimy goo to take home with you. Feelin' confident?"
"I'm gonna win!" Florrie said, determined.
"That's the spirit!" Chudd said. "Remember, if you don't know the answer, just shout out something silly and we'll move on quickly."
"OK! Let's….Go!" Earl said, and on 'Go', The lights darkened, except for Chudd's spotlight, and the light on Florrie's square.
And the quiz champ challenge began.
Chudd said. "Complete this High School Musical song: 'We're All in this…"
"Together?" Florrie asked.
[DING]
"Correct!" Chudd said. "What word comes after blue, straw and goose?"
"Berry." Florrie said.
[DING]
"Correct." Chudd said. "Which winner from Charlie & the Chocolate Factory fell into a river of chocolate?"
"Mike Teavee?" Florrie asked.
[RASPBERRY]
"No, it was Augustus Gloop!" Chudd said. "How many colours are seen in the Union Jack flag?"
"3." Florrie said.
[DING]
"Exactly." Chudd said. "Which of these 3 days is NOT in the school week; Tuesday, Friday, or Sunday?"
"Sunday." Florrie said.
[ding]
"Correctomundo." Chudd said. "Now, which 1995 film starred Tom Hanks as a pull-string cowboy doll?"
"Toy Story?" Florrie asked.
[DING]
"Correct!" Chudd said. "In maths, what is 9 + 4?"
"13." Florrie said.
[DING]
"Too easy!" Chudd said.
[Half way timer siren]
"Stop the clock!" Chudd called.
[QCC Score: 6/10]
"OK, Florrie, you're halfway through the Quiz Champ Challenge." Chudd said. "In 45 seconds," he went on, "you've scored 6 points. But my buddy Earl is willing to give you a helping hand with Earl's Halfway Deal!"
EARL'S HALFWAY DEAL
"Hey Florrie!" Earl said, "So far, you got 6 points out of 10."
"We know." said Mr Grumpy. "Chudd just told her a few minutes ago."
"Well, I've got a good deal for you." Earl said. "I'm gonna offer you 2 extra points, taking your score to 8, but, if you take this offer, I'm gonna take 23 seconds off your time, giving you only 22 seconds to score 2 points."
"That offer is CHEAP!" said Mr Stubborn.
"SO what do you say, Florrie?" Chudd asked. "Do you want the deal?"
"Yes!" Lucy said.
"OK!" Earl said.
[QCC Score: 8/10; Time: 22 Seconds remaining]
"Right," said Chudd. "Florrie, you've now got 22 seconds to score 2 more points. It can be doable, you know!"
"I hope I can do it." Florrie said anxiously.
"OK," Chudd said. "Let's find out! Restart the clock!"
As he said this, the lights went dim again, save for the spotlight, and Florrie's square on the quizblock.
"What colour are the leaves on trees in Summer?" Chudd asked.
"Green." Florrie said.
[ding]
"Correct!" Chudd said. "In the song 'Big Fish Little Fish', what supermarket item is mentioned in the second part of the song?"
"A shopping trolley?" Florrie said.
[DING]
"Correct, and it was just in time Florrie!" Chudd said. "With 10 points in under 90 seconds, you are the Quiz Champ Challenge Champion, and you win a Nintendo Switch!"
"YAY!" Cheered Florrie.
The audience cheered loudly!
"Wonderful!" said Mr Happy.
"I knew you'd do it, Florrie!" Little Miss Princess.
"Now are we gonna have the cake?" Mr Bump asked.
"Sure!" Chudd said. He got out a huge sharp knife, put it in the cake, and then…
BANG!
The cake exploded, and cake icing was splattered all over the whole studio, and everyone in it.
"Shazam!" said Mr Messy happily. "That's what I'm talking about!" Some of the cake icing he threw landed right on Mr Fussy. "How revolting!" said Mr Fussy.
"Oh, crooked cucumbers!" snapped Mr Grumpy.
"That cake was CHEAP!" said Mr Stubborn.
"It turns out someone but an explosive bomb in the cake!" Earl said. "Who coulda done that?"
"I did!" said a voice.
It was Little Miss Naughty.
"Little Miss Naughty?" everyone said.
"Sometimes, I just can't help myself!" giggled Little Miss Naughty.
"Ah well," said Chudd, "All's well that ends well. And speaking of ends, that's the end of another show, cakey steaks, but we'll be back real soon with more quizzing, more contestants, and more wacky adventures, only on…."
"Skatoony!" Chudd, Earl, the Mr Men, Little Misses, and Little Miss Princess all said at once.
Then the credits played a Skatoony tune remix of 'Auld Lang Syne'.
And Mr Stubborn could be heard complaining, "This quiz show is CHEAP! This episode is CHEAP! This remix is CHEAP! This ending is CHEAP! These credits are CHEAP!"
