"Lycanthropy...". -Said Oshino. "It is a mythological ability or power that a human being has to transform into a wolf, or a fusion of the wolf with the human, leading to the creation of a half-beast man. However, it is also a psychiatric phenomenon, a hallucinogenic disorder, where the patient believes he is capable of transforming into an animal, a wolf or other similar creature."

"Are you insinuating that I'm out of my mind, delusional that I was attacked by a freaking werewolf, and also delusional that I half transformed?" -complained his client, offended.

"Not at all, I just thought it would be a good introduction for this particular case, you know, the prologue for a story.". -Oshino smiled crookedly. "No need to be so defensive, Okajima-san, did something good happen to you?"

Ever since he began his career as a bridge between the spiritual/paranormal several years ago now, Oshino had seen and heard of everything. However, this was the first time he had before him such a curious case as a person attacked by a werewolf.

And being honest with himself, this case was beyond his capabilities.

Not only was his client attacked by an eccentricity that had been around for millennia, and really hard to find, but he was at risk of becoming said eccentricity if a cure was not found to treat it.

Put another way, his client, Okajima Rokuro, was going to become a werewolf within a week... of which 4 days had already passed, and within a few hours it would be 5 days, leaving them both about 48 hours to find a cure that did not exist.

In all of human history, there was no record or method to ensure that anyone affected by a werewolf curse had been cured, and their humanity returned.

The closest there was, was an ancient legend-belief, that silver was an effective tool against the werewolf, as the eccentricity was vulnerable to silver. Which derived in the belief that werewolves can be killed using silver bullets, and, as Oshino had proven many times before, the Faith of mankind could achieve really incredible things all over the world, so this belief became a truth, although exaggerated due to the culture of cinema and literature.

But real, after all.

However, silver, silver bullets, would not serve as a cure for Okajima... unless he was seeking death. That should be the last of the last resorts, of which Oshino did not want to resort if possible.

But neither could he allow two werewolves to be loose in the city, affecting more people with their curse.

Oshino put a cigarette in his mouth, without lighting it, and scratched his head. 'This is going to be complicated.' -He thought.

And cut!

Rokuro Okajima, who has yet to be named Rock, really has it tough. Good thing he still has hopes of ending badly, or terribly badly.

Actually, this fanfiction doesn't count as a crossover, since there is, currently, only one Monogatari Series character and so it's not in that category.

In fact, if you swap the "Oshino Meme" character for another character, e.g. Dutch or Chang, there's really no difference. You can consider this Oshino Meme as an OC... possessing the same appearance and background as the original Oshino Meme.

Is that laziness on my part? It's likely, highly likely. Truth be told, I don't like OCs in anime/manga stories.

In fact, the few times I used them, I killed them all...

In any case, I used Oshino as the protagonist on the Monogatari Series side because of his history as an expert on eccentricities from the Monogatari Series novels, or from the anime/manga, besides, I thought that with his transformation as a paranormal investigator he would be well utilized in the kind of story I have in mind.

I used Rock as the main character because... I don't know. When this idea came to mind I said "it has to be Rock."

Although Boss Chang as the main character would also have been cool...

Chang will always be cool no matter what role he plays. But I digress.

I decided to write this story to give me a break from the other one I have going on. I would say "I won't know if I'll continue it" But the truth is that I already have the whole plot for the "Okajima Wolf" case, along with at least 2 other cases and a third one in the planning stage.

A summary of the whole story would be this; Monogatari Series theme, focusing on paranormal events, but in the world of Black Lagoon, with characters from that universe so to speak. Um, it might have some action scenes, though I'm not very good at writing that.

Will more characters from the Monogatari Series appear, apart from Oshino? Maybe yes, maybe no. For now I haven't written or planned anything about that... although I have had some vague ideas about it.

In any case, I think we can all agree that, if Boss Chang had been the main character in the story, the story would be 98.3% better.

Thanks for reading, I'll leave chapter 1 below, until next time... And be careful when you go out at night, lest you get attacked by a werewolf.
