Authoress Note: Welcome to Chapter 4 of Absolution. Thank you to those who have left reviews for this story and this series alone. It really does mean a lot to me that you guys are enjoying this. I can't wait to show you guys what happens in the next part of this episode. We are now on part 4 of Episode 1 Kaiseki. And the next chapter will be part 5 and finishing up Episode 1. I have to admit that I'm excited for this series so far and I can't even wait to start season 3 either. This is going to be one long ride with Hannibal and Margarita. Without further ado Chapter 4. ENJOY!
Chapter 4
Margarita came into the morgue to watch Brian tap his pen on the hard shell of the corpse on one of the tables. She crossed her arms with her brows furrowed together.
"Dental and medical records placed the six. All adults, men and women, different ages, different ethnicities, from different states. Nothing in common except they lived alone and disappeared from their homes with their vehicles." Brian explained to everyone that was in the room.
"And they all had large amounts of heroin in their systems." Jimmy said looking up.
"Enough to be the cause of death?" Jack questioned looking at Jimmy.
"And then some."
Jack studies the non-bloated bodies. "There's unusual skin discoloration in these bodies."
Beverly looked up at Jack. "We found traces of BHT, which is a color preservative."
Margarita crossed her arms coming in closer to where the bodies were. "He wants them to look alive."
Jack crossed his arms taking in what Margarita had said.
"He shoots them up with a little china white, and injects preservatives. Fills their bodies with silicone so they don't emaciate, then seals them in a hard resin shell." Brian explained as he looked up from the bodies.
"Maybe he's making mannequins out of real people. Like in that Tanya Roberts movie from the '70s." Jimmy pointed out.
Jack moved on to the laceration patterns on the corpses. "What are these punctures?"
"Eyelets. Something was threaded through. Bodies were likely strung up. Mounted or presented." Brian said, pursing his lips together.
"How is he choosing them?"
"We've got nothing. Appears random. But if this is the discard pile, I'm curious how many were keepers." Beverly said, letting out a soft breath crossing her arms.
"I want a list of any missing persons who disappeared with their vehicles in the surrounding states."
Brian and Jimmy hopped to their jobs.
Margarita looked at Jack.
"I don't expect you to help, Margarita."
Margarita let out a hum as she locked her green eyes with his brown eyes. "I know you don't expect me to." She pointed out fairly easily. She wasn't bothered with what Jack had said because this isn't healthy for her to be doing work like this. "But I would like to go home if that is alright?"
Jack nodded his head. "I will allow it. I'm bending the rules for you since you are pregnant. Wouldn't want our killers that are out there think you are a target."
Margarita let out a soft laugh shaking her head. "Oh no of course not. Thank you Jack." She said before turning on her heels to leave. She took a soft breath as she walked the hallway, her heels clicking on the floor as she walked. She headed towards the exit knowing that it was fairly easy to pull the wool over anyone's eyes.
HANNIBAL
Margarita waited at the gate to be open to the cells so she could go and visit with will. She had taken off her winter jacket revealing her black suit she wore underneath it that fit a little bit more snugly than it had before. The buzzer rang before the door opened and she slowly walked. Her heels clicked on the hard floor as she moved closer and close to where Will was being held. She stopped before Will's cell.
Will looked up, his brows furrowed seeing the blonde haired woman. "Margarita, it is a surprise to see you here." He said rather softly. "And alone too."
Margarita hummed as she looked at the young man. "I came here on my own accord." Margarita said as she crossed her arms holding her jacket close to her body hiding her slowly growing baby bump. "I honestly thought of not coming here, but I needed to speak with you."
Will swallowed the lump in his throat. "About?"
"About that night that you had escaped and ordered my husband to take you to Minnesota at gunpoint."
Will winced remembering what had happened. He had hit her and harmed her in a way that he never thought that he would do. She was his friend after all. "I'm sorry about that." He admitted softly. "I shouldn't have hit you to knock you out."
Margarita let out a huff looking at him, narrowing her eyes at him. "You had no right in hitting me. You knew that I was pregnant Will. Why would you even think about hitting me?"
"I wasn't thinking." Will admitted softly looking down his hands gripping at his sides.
"Will I was your friend."
"We aren't friends anymore?" Will asked, sounding a little bit broken. He hadn't thought that Margarita would end their friendship like that.
"Will you hit a pregnant woman knocking her out. How did you think I was going to feel about you hitting me and knocking me out?" She questioned, gripping her coat tightly in her hands.
"I should've been more careful in not hurting you."
Margarita let out a soft breath rubbing her face softly. "Honestly Will, I never thought that I would have seen the day that you would have knocked your friend out. I never thought the day you would hit me." Margarita shook her head lightly.
"I am sorry, I should've never done that." He admitted softly knowing that Margarita probably wasn't going to forgive him for hitting her.
Margarita let out a breath and shook her head lightly. "Will, I don't know if I can forgive you for what you did." She said softly shifting her weight on her feet. "I don't know how my husband forgave you for hitting me. Or even that forgiven you for taking him at gunpoint and forcing him to take you to the Hobbs home."
"I know you won't forgive me… I can't say sorry enough Margarita. I should've never hit you… I… did I harm your baby?" He asked softly wondering if Margarita's baby had survived the accident.
Margarita shifted her jacket and showed her baby bump that was slowly growing beneath her suit jacket. "The baby is fine, Will, but I wouldn't forgive you for almost killing my baby." She let out a breath turning on her heels. "I will see you later, Will." She walked away from Will's cell.
Will sucked a breath through his teeth knowing that this wasn't a good thing. He was worried that she wouldn't even be around him again. He felt terrible for what he had done to her.

This is the end of Chapter 4. I hope that you guys enjoyed this chapter. I tried my best with this chapter. I know it probably wasn't good for Margarita to go and see Will, but she wanted to talk to him. And can you blame her for what he did in the last book? Do you think that she should forgive Will for what he had done? Please leave a review and let me know what you think. Reviews help me keep going when it comes to writing stories. I will hopefully update next week with a brand new chapter. Until next time.
