Author's note: So today was my birthday (ended a little while ago, but whatever) and I decided to treat myself to a mishmash of some of my favourite themes. Guys, this is the biggest mix of themes I have written so far and I had a fun time doing so! We've got A/B/O dynamics, we've got a zombie setting, we've got references to a yakuza past and we've got a triad relationship :D If that's not your kind of thing, kindly press the back button. If this is your thing, I hope you enjoy the random shit my mind came up with!

Warnings: Sasuke's pov; alternative universe; zombie apocalypse; implied mature content; established slash; established triad relationship; references to yakuza; minor violence; minor character deaths; Omega Naruto; vague references to abuse; technically NOT FOR SAKURA FANS

Disclaimer: I don't own Naruto. Kishimoto owns it.

I hope you'll like this random fic!

Idyllic Picture

The subtle but obvious rattling of their makeshift alarm system had both Naruto and Sasuke staring at the cans.

"I'll go check," Sasuke said and rose from the couch, picking up his katana as he did so.

"I can go," Naruto offered, but Sasuke's raised eyebrow had him pouting, sinking back onto the mattress. "I'm fine," he said petulantly.

"Hm, I'm going downstairs. You keep a look out here," Sasuke instructed and silently walked over to the door, cautiously opening it.

He peeked through the gap, checking the right side of the hallway first. Nothing there. He opened the door further and checked the left side. Empty as well. Whatever had set off the alarm was at one of the lower levels then. With a bit of luck it was still on the lowest floor.

The stale stench of old blood and death didn't even perturb him anymore as he slowly descended the staircase. The sun was starting to set; in two hours tops the whole building would be completely dark. He would have to deal with the intruders before that happened. Fighting in the dark was still too risky, even after three years of this bullshit.

The next two floors didn't reveal anything out of the ordinary. The same faded rusty stains covering both the floors and the walls; the same ratty remains of carpets that once hid the wooden floors from view. All doors were still shut, just like he remembered them being, but he still pricked his ears. Nothing could be heard from behind the doors.

The ground floor did reveal the origin of their alarm. A red haired man was forcing a pink haired woman to kneel on the floor. Her mouth was squeezed shut by his hand and one of her arms laid limply at her side while the other tried futile to pull his hand away. Two knives and a small handgun laid discarded against the wall, out of their reach. Three dead bodies blocked the entrance; one had its entrails soaking into the rug, the second one had its skull bashed in and the third had his head fully decapitated, staring blankly up at the ceiling.

The red haired man glanced at him before focusing his attention back on the woman. "She tripped the alarm, didn't she?"

"She did," Sasuke confirmed and came to stand next to Gaara. "You caught her sneaking inside or about to?"

"I arrived just as she was fucking around with the lock," Gaara replied and her pained whine was muffled when he squeezed her jaw even tighter. "Those three dead fucks followed us inside, so I had to take care of them while she tried to sneak upstairs."

"She alone?" Sasuke questioned, frowning.

Her pale green eyes widened when he adjusted his grip on his katana.

"No, she was with a group," Gaara answered and jerked his head in the direction of the door. "The others are taking care of them right now."

"They're back?" Sasuke relaxed a fraction.

Itachi and the others had been gone for three days, scouting a town further up ahead. They had no immediate plans to move away from this place, not when it offered them a sense of security and even a stock of food, but it was always good to have other options ready just in case. Sasuke had lost count of the many houses they had had to leave behind when a horde of zombies inevitably swarmed the place.

Three years ago the ending of their civilised world had come to be by a simple virus. Just another strain of the flu virus, health organisations had assured at first. But then the sick became even sicker and they succumbed to the fever – only to then rise up once more and attack everyone in their sight. The mutated virus – because what else could it be? It sure as fuck wasn't normal! – had spread rapidly once the dead started taking down the living and chaos quickly reigned. Nowadays they no longer had any idea whether the living still outnumbered the dead or whether they were just prolonging their fate for nothing.

Silence and stealth were the only things keeping people alive still. The dead couldn't hear what didn't speak and couldn't see what didn't move in obvious ways. People started banding together; strength in numbers and all that. Weapons and food became like gold and diamonds: if you possessed both of them, you were the luckiest son of a bitch alive. One would assume that people would be smart enough to band together and form a united front against the dead. One would assume wrong.

If it wasn't a zombie that could kill you, it was a stranger, whether that was to save their own hide or because you had stuff they wanted to have. Some days, during his darkest moments, Sasuke wondered which were the actual monsters: the undead or the living. It appeared pretty much fifty fifty.

"Was it just coincidence that she's here or do you think she's here for something else?" Sasuke questioned and took her backpack off her, uncaring that it made her arm jostle.

Judging from the awkward angle, her shoulder must be dislocated and she yelped, tears springing up in her eyes, when he removed the backpack. He didn't care to apologise. If Gaara was holding her down like this, she wasn't just an innocent person hoping to spend the night somewhere.

Opening her backpack answered his question before Gaara could offer suggestions. Wordlessly he held up the bottle containing enough sedative liquid to knock someone out for a couple of hours. The next item he retrieved was a simple camera, a cheap pink one that young people had often used to document their trips. The battery was fully charged, so wherever she and her group stayed, it was somewhere where they still had access to power. He checked the memory and ice seemed to replace the blood in his veins when he saw what the most recent pictures had captured.

Naruto.

Ten pictures in a row, taken over the past week. Some showed his outline through the window upstairs, but there were also some of when he and Gaara had gone into town to ransack the shops there and some of him and Sasuke checking the traps outside.

"Something interesting?" Gaara questioned neutrally.

The woman started trembling, trying to shake her head, but Gaara simply clucked his tongue and stared her down.

"You keep moving and I'll break your jaw."

Anyone else and it might have been considered an idle threat, but Gaara had never been the type for those. She seemed to realise that, because she froze even as she started crying harder.

"Something quite interesting in fact," Sasuke said flatly and turned the screen to him, showing off the pictures with Naruto in them.

"An Omega ring, really?" Gaara spat in disgust, instantly realising why a stranger would have taken pictures of Naruto.

Apparently a zombie apocalypse had been enough to destroy all rights Omega had built up throughout the decades. From being on equal level with Alpha and Beta, they now had become something akin to precious, desired cargo. Every sicko wanted to have Omega, whether they were female or male, because their fertility rate was the highest, making it easier to populate the earth again, or so these sick bastards figured.

Sasuke's and Gaara's group had come across these fuckers before. They had been dealt with swiftly every time, not leaving any survivors behind. Perhaps the apocalypse had turned them ruthless, perhaps it was because both their families had been yakuza before the world fell, but neither of them saw any reason to offer mercy to anyone trying to take their family away. Why give a fucker the chance to strike back at a later moment and abduct the Omega in their group when they could simply do away with them immediately and eliminate the threat completely?

"The rest of them are still outside, right?" Sasuke asked for confirmation and dropped the bag on the floor, letting the content spill out.

A couple of bottles rolled away, coming to a stop right against the wall, with some plastic boxes sliding out of the bag.

"They are, yeah. Why?"

Sasuke smiled grimly. "I have to let them know not to go easy on them."

"We can let Sasori play with her," Gaara suggested, not even flinching when the woman started scrabbling at his wrist in panic. "Find out whether there are more we should prepare for."

"An excellent idea," Sasuke smiled thinly. "Get her to the basement, I'll tell Sasori about her."

Who would have thought that a chemistry teacher would make an excellent interrogator?

"We'll keep an eye out just in case," Itachi promised, clasping Sasuke's shoulder briefly.

"We're going to have to move again soon," Sasuke sighed and ran a hand through his hair.

He didn't exactly get attached to places anymore, not after having to move around so much, but this building in spite of its dreary looks had become a good shelter against the zombies, offering them easy access to stores still having canned food on the shelves. It would be annoying having to move away from here after they had been able to set up good defences.

"Probably for the best," Itachi agreed, briefly smiling when Deidara slipped past him, grinning mischievously even when he was still covered in zombie guts. "But that's something we can worry about later. We'll meet up in a couple of days to discuss the move."

"Why a couple of days?" Sasuke furrowed his eyebrows.

Itachi's knowing look and the way he tapped his nose made his cheeks burn. "We all might reek more of death and blood nowadays, but not everything can be hidden by that stench, otouto," Itachi said amused and nudged his shoulder. "Go on, go be with him. We'll keep a lookout here in case there are still some left over from that group."

"Fine, but if others do show up, come get us immediately," Sasuke demanded.

"I will, go on now."

Gaara was about to walk up the stairs when Sasuke joined him.

"Seems like that group was way in over their head," Gaara told him and they started ascending the staircase together. "Sasori is still interrogating her, but that group was stupid enough to all show up instead of having some be left behind."

"They were that confident that they would succeed?" Sasuke raised an eyebrow.

Gaara snorted. "Apparently. It looks like they were under the impression that they would only have to take us three on instead of the entire group."

"So they didn't observe us for long," Sasuke realised.

If they had, they would have known that the rest of their group wouldn't have stayed away for long. They never did; trips of three days were the longest they dared to spend apart, not wanting to risk tempting fate.

"Like I said, they were way in over their heads," Gaara said and shrugged. "I would feel sorry for them if I actually cared, but three years in, you'd think they would know better."

"People can be stupid," Sasuke murmured.

Fortunately other people's stupidity had so far worked in their favour.

They were met with a glare when they opened the door to the apartment they had commandeered for themselves.

"Had fun downstairs, guys?" Naruto asked scathingly.

His vicious tone would leave more of an impression if his eyes weren't turning glassy; a deep red flush already painting his cheeks. He was still seated on the mattress, but the couple of blankets they had managed to salvage were spread out around him, covering the edges of the mattress from view and pooling onto the floor.

"That's a question you better ask the others, seeing as they had most of the fun," Sasuke replied dryly.

"When we go out next, you better let me take down some dead fucks," Naruto said petulantly, making Gaara snort.

"You must be the only person actually wanting to kill some zombies."

"Not so much as wanting, as needing to remind you all that I'm not weak." Naruto bared his teeth in a simile of a smile, narrowing his eyes. "Don't think I don't know why I had to stay upstairs and it wasn't because you were worried some zombies had broken through."

Sasuke clucked his tongue and kicked off his shoes, placing his katana on the table before walking over to Naruto.

"Did you want to lose even more time by trying to wash off the blood?" he inquired lightly, watching Naruto carefully as he sat down.

"That wouldn't have taken long," Naruto pouted, which was a blatant lie.

Whenever he approached his heat, Naruto turned extra fussy, needing everything to be immaculate and perfect and most importantly: clean. It was a sharp contrast to how he usually didn't give a shit whether he was clean or covered in blood, but Sasuke supposed that certain instincts were hard to ignore.

"Got you a new blanket," Gaara said out of nowhere, retrieving the gift from his bag.

It was as much as a present as it was a peace offering for having left him on his own. Naruto's eyes lit up and he eagerly snatched the blanket out of the Alpha's hands, humming as he examined the smoothness of it. It was a delicate purple colour with silvery threads depicting flowers across the length of it. It met Naruto's approval and soon joined the rest of the blankets, the blond man taking his time to carefully cover the other blankets with the new addition.

"You're only half forgiven, you know," Naruto muttered, poking at the blanket a couple more times before shifting around to look at them again.

Gaara smiled faintly. "Well, how do you want me to earn the rest of your forgiveness?"

Blue eyes started to gleam in a way that had both Alpha twitching minuscule.

"I think you know how," Naruto murmured and his voice gained that throaty quality that never failed to lit a fire in their lower stomachs.

He held out his hands to Gaara who easily grabbed them, letting himself be pulled onto the mattress. He knelt down, balancing himself with only his knees and Naruto's grip on him.

Seeing this, Sasuke acknowledged Naruto's decision and made to get up, deciding he would while away the time in the living room area until Naruto needed him. Before he could fully get up, however, fingers clasped his wrist, pressing his hand down.

Surprised he turned to look at Naruto, who boldly returned the stare.

"Naruto?"

"Who said you had to leave?" Naruto demanded and pulled him further onto the mattress. "You're here, you might as well stay!"

Oho, so it was going to be this kind of heat.

Sasuke and Gaara shared a look before the dark haired Alpha smirked and looked at Naruto again, who was shuffling closer to the both of them.

"And what do you have in mind for us?"

If Naruto's addictive scent, sweetened even further by his heat, hadn't already made him hard, the next words spoken in that silky smooth voice definitely did the trick.

"I want to try something new."

It was possibly quite insane what they were doing now. They were in the middle of a goddamn zombie apocalypse and just had had to get rid of a group intend on harming them. They shouldn't have the desire, let alone wanting to take the time to do this when their lives were anything but normal nowadays.

Simply fucking wasn't that bad. The undead roaming around or not, people still had sex. That was a fact of life. Not even stinking, dangerous zombies could stop people from getting it on. When you had to deal with heats or ruts, sex was just imperative; one of the only normal things they still had left from their old lives.

So yeah, people still fucked – but Sasuke doubted a lot of them would actually take the time to do it in certain positions. Positions that required a lot of preparation, a lot of time; ones that couldn't be rushed unless they wanted to risk tearing something.

Positions they could only try out because they had a strong fort at the moment, defended by people they could trust with their lives.

Ones that had Sasuke burning up from the inside, his breathing ragged, as a faint still conscious part of his brain wondered once more how exactly they had ended up like this.

This, all three of them together.

This, him on his back, supported by some pillows with Naruto straddling his lap, his deceivingly slender arms tightly wrapped around Sasuke's neck. His mouth was reddened already, swollen and bruised by the filthy kisses he had exchanged with both Sasuke and Gaara. Reddish marks covered his neck and his collarbone, ones that would remain visible for days on end, eliciting teasing from the others. Both Sasuke and Gaara weren't much better off; their skin a painting of red marks and pink lines when fingers had dragged down a bit too enthusiastically.

This, Gaara behind Naruto, sucking yet another red mark in the side of his throat, as he easily slipped his fingers inside Naruto and next to Sasuke's length, stretching the Omega further than they had ever done before.

It was absolute madness, trying out a position that would leave Naruto limping for at least a day if not longer, but Sasuke had always been weak for those blue eyes, ever since they had been little kids and Naruto had clamped onto him, declaring him his best friend. Gaara's willpower was just as great as Sasuke's, which was to say next to none when it came to their Omega.

Perhaps they shouldn't indulge Naruto this much, not with the world being how it was now, but if they couldn't even enjoy themselves once in a while, what was the point? Constantly remaining on guard, trying to figure out whether a new person was a foe or a possible ally, slashing and hacking down one zombie after the other, trying to salvage whatever canned food they could still find … It wore them down, turned them wary, exhausted.

For just these couple of days, during Naruto's heat, or during each of their ruts, they could at least pretend the world was still normal, that they were simply three people in love, enjoying each other. They were lucky to still be able to afford that pretention, knowing it was only made possible because they had other people looking out for them. Once Naruto was out for the count tomorrow, there would be others ready to keep an eye on the streets; others capable of going into town and retrieve the last cans before they would move on to another place.

It was madness – but it worked.

"Stop thinking so much," Naruto whispered, his breath hot, before he crushed their mouths together.

His moans vibrated against Sasuke's lips and Sasuke's hips involuntarily bucked when Gaara's fingers slipped out of Naruto, sliding against him on the way out.

Black eyes locked onto burning green ones as Gaara draped himself over Naruto's back, one of his hands sliding around to caress his lower stomach. Naruto's belly was heaving, his own hips rolling in a stuttering rhythm, trying to keep chasing the high even when Sasuke forced himself to stop moving.

"You ready?" Gaara asked lowly, tracing unclear patterns across Naruto's chest, caressing his nipples until they pebbled.

"Yes, yes, go on! Come on, been waiting!" Naruto babbled; all his embarrassment having been chased away by the depths of his heat a little while ago.

He was definitely in the throes of it now; his pupils wide, almost blown out, and his skin practically searing hot as he bounced up and down in Sasuke's lap, squeezing the Alpha every couple of thrusts.

"So impatient," Gaara tutted and ignoring Naruto's whining, he grasped his hips and held him still.

Naruto reared up, looking like he was going to snap, but then his head fell back and his mouth dropped open when Gaara carefully started to enter him as well, alongside Sasuke. It was literally a tight fit, Naruto not helping matters with the way he was erratically squeezing down around both of them, and Sasuke thought for sure his brain was going to short circuit this time, unable to comprehend what exactly was happening.

Then Gaara bottomed out fully, his breathing shaky, and all three held still.

"You okay?" Sasuke asked, running his hands slowly down Naruto's arms.

They trembled underneath his touch and he met Gaara's gaze across Naruto's shoulder. Gaara had his eyes narrowed and his jaw tensed, looking like he was warring with himself. This definitely wasn't how they normally spent Naruto's heat, let alone their ruts, so Sasuke could understand Gaara's apprehension. If they hadn't prepared Naruto thoroughly enough and had actually tore something inside of him …

Right as Sasuke felt Gaara slowly starting to retreat, Naruto startled them both by gasping aloud suddenly and grasping their wrists.

"Fuck, I've never felt so okay in my life before!" he blurted out, wide-eyed, shifting carefully. A blissed grin replaced the frown marring his forehead. "God, this feels amazing, why the hell haven't we done this earlier?"

"We haven't even started moving yet," Gaara pointed out amused, but the relief was hard to miss in his voice.

Naruto raised the hand he'd captured and nearly missed kissing it, his lips landing at the side of Gaara's palm. "Then you better start moving, don't you think?"

"Sounds like you're still far too coherent," Sasuke deduced and caught Gaara's eyes.

They didn't dare to move as fast as they normally would have, too worried about hurting Naruto, but they fell into a rhythm easily as if they did this sort of thing all the time. When Sasuke pulled out, Gaara would thrust in. Gaara pulled away and Sasuke would slide right back inside, engulfed in Naruto's welcoming body. Naruto would kiss him before twisting his head around and catching Gaara's mouth in a sloppy kiss, groaning when the red haired Alpha would lean down to kiss Sasuke, which pushed him even deeper inside him. They wouldn't be able to last much longer, not with so much stimulation from all sides, but that didn't matter.

It was absolute madness – but it was them.

And Sasuke wouldn't have it any other way.

The End

AN2: Perhaps I will return to this particular universe in the future, seeing as I haven't done an A/B/O dynamics in a zombie setting before, but we'll see. Had a lot of fun writing this, so I hope it was at least not too awful to read!

Please leave your thoughts behind in a review; should you spot any mistakes, please point them out to me.

I hope to see you all back in my future stories! Please stay safe and take care of yourselves!
