Libby Stein-Torres had asked her best friend, Molly McGee, and the boy Molly had a crush on, Ollie Chen, to meet her at Book Marks the Spot, the book store ran by her mother.
Libby had something important on her mind. She wanted to be more than just friends with Molly. But now with Ollie in the picture, it proved more difficult than she imagined.
So, she read all about polyamory, which is where three or more people get into a romantic relationship with one another. She was going to do whatever it takes to be part of Molly's love life, even if it meant being in a polyamorous relationship with her and Ollie.
When Molly and Ollie arrived at Books Marks the Spot, which shared a building with the home Libby and her mother lived in, Libby had them meet her in front of the checkout lane.
Libby began to speak. "Molly, ever since you moved here, we have been the best of friends. Since that time, I imagined us being more than just friends. But you have a crush on Ollie here. However, I read up on something. Romance doesn't have to be between just two people. There is something called polyamory, where three or more people form a romantic relationship with one another. I want to be part of your love life Molly, even if it's a polyamorous relationship. Molly, Ollie, what do you say?"
Molly began to speak, "aw Libby I didn't know you felt that way about me. Now that I think of it, before Ollie was in the picture I had thoughts of being in a relationship with you. I haven't told my family that I'm bisexual yet. But you Libby, may have just given me the courage to do it. Ollie, if me and Libby want this, are you fine with this?"
Ollie said, "well if it is fine with you two, then I suppose I'll be a part of this relationship. More and more people are entering into polyamorous relationships these days. Romance has become very progressive."
With a new polyamourous relationship started, Molly, Ollie, and Libby looked to change the country's views at-large on polyamory. The United States was convinced to accept same-sex romantic relationships. Now was the time for the country to be sold on polyamorous relationships. But first, they needed to figure out how to tell their families they were polyamourous.
